Called Fixer to have a few items repaired. Juan arrived on time and, upon review, thought the plumbing job was beyond his scope. He completed the remaining repairs literally with a few minutes -- and the bill reflected that. Juan was considerate, thorough, and a quick worker. After he left, I rec'd a text from Fixer with 3 plumber recommendations. I chose Rocket Plumbing based solely on that recommendation. I've learned to trust their recommendations and today's was every bit as reliable.
I've relied upon Fixer several times in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

I was recommended to Duplex for my home electrical needs by a long-time friend who is an industrial electrician as the company my friend uses for his home needs. Greg and Steve at Duplex where terrific and fixed my complicated electrical issues in my old home.  I was impressed with their practical approach, as they explained what was needed for life safety and what was an optional fix if I wanted to save money.  They truly understand their craft and put customers first.  They are also extremely reliable with scheduling, which can be rare in the repair and maintenance industry. I highly recommend Duplex.

Art came by on a Friday afternoon to troubleshoot a room that had lost power. He was willing to squeeze us in last minute when other places told me they could only do Monday. He found the short and had it all fixed within an hour and charged exactly what he quoted. We will definitely be calling him if we need work done in the future.

Don was very responsive in scheduling the appointment and Mike who completed the work was punctual and thorough. Extremely happy with the work completed which included changing out several light fixtures and a general safety inspection of the electrics. I will certainly use Donatello Electric again for future projects.

Purchased a new house and had a few electrical items to address.  Found Prolite Electric on Yelp and felt good about their reviews.  After leaving a message, Jack called me back that day.  Went over his pricing and I felt he was very reasonable so I made an appointment.   He sent his technician Matt over to fix the items and I was very pleased with Matt's service.  He was on time and very professional.  I'm looking forward to using them in the future.

Update 1/3/2017.  Again Matt does another great job.  Had a laundry list of items to get done and  Matt's work was perfect.  Jack is very affordable and this will always be the company that does my electrical work.

Had a great experience with OneStop. They replaced our air conditioning system, addressed a sump pump issue, and repaired/replaced some outlet issues. It was so convenient to have multiple things fixed by the same crew! I highly recommend.

I left a voice message after hours. Jeff called me with a quick reply. I explained my electrical issues. Luckily he was able to address them on Saturday as he was available. He was on time, found and fixed my problem the same day. My husband said he was a great guy! I definitely would use Jeff again.

David was very professional and easy to work with!  We had him install 9 lights and 3 dimmer switches in our home and you could tell from the start that he is very detailed with his work. He treated our project as if it was a project in his own home and made sure to ask my opinion of everything before he finished. Very quick and great pricing!  Would highly recommend him for any project big or small. We will definitely be calling him for any future projects. Thanks David!

We needed a conduit box moved so we could have some new windows installed.  Although the project was more complicated than it initially appeared, Matt investigated the issue and devised a creative solution.  He was friendly, professional, efficient, and is obviously extremely knowledgeable.  Very reasonable rates.  I would highly recommend him and will certainly call Goldstream again for future electrical work.

Highly recommend! Mike came by within an hour of me connecting with him to install an outlet for my EV. He explained the process and walked me through it step by step just so I'm aware. I was so impressed, I asked him to work on more electrical stuff around our condo and he's coming back to do those jobs.

Owner of the company is honest.  Did all work as expected.  His workers were puntual and professional.  Calls were returned, problems addressed quickly.  Solid contractor.

We had a potentially large electric problem with some lines from our house to our garage.  They were old, frayed and hanging low.  It was easy to set up getting a quote from Edwin though the Yelp site.  He responded very quickly and arrived on time at the appointed time.  He diagnosed the problem and provided a quote via email.  I accepted his proposal and he let me know when he was available to come and do the work.

He arrived on time, on the scheduled day.  It was a big job which included taking down the old wiring and, digging a trench and sending all new wiring out to the detached garage.  Since the home and garage are both over 100 years old, diagnosing our wiring is like a million piece jigsaw puzzle. Edwin did a great job and everything works great!  He even did a great job to not disturb the landscaping.  You can't even tell that there was a trench dug.

I have used Homer's Electric service for some major projects, replacing a storm-downed power line at my home, and installing new service to a rental property. He solved a conundrum at the rental property, that other electrical services couldn't, which was to construct an electric room on an open porch that had been converted from an enclosed porch. All work was done with permits and sign off by a City of Chicago Inspector. This is in response to Nessie X's negative review on this site, that claims he is operating without a City of Chicago License. His license and billing are under VT-Tech Service Inc which IS listed on the City's site with a current license thru 1/2024.

I needed an electrician to attack a switch, fan/light and outlet that were out.  I had a few friends look at it with no luck.   It was time to get a real electrician.  I went on Angie's list and saw HandiCo - yeah!  I used them before, why not call again.  I had forgotten all about them.  I was very skeptical that anyone could fix the problem.  A young guy showed up and within an hour and a half found the problem and fixed it.  He traced the wires to the ceiling in our basement and found two wire apart, arcing and burning the cap.  He saved my home - could've had a fire.  He also kept me posted on every step of his assessment and asked my opinion and some good questions.  I was impressed and truly recommend Handico.

Corey and his team installed an overhead light in my bedroom and did wonderfully. He provided me with a honest quote and came to provide the service promptly. I will definitely call Perfected Electric for future needs!

I lost power in my second floor.  Bob came out and effieciently and proffesssionaly fixed the problem.  The charge was fair the service qas excsllent and i would recommend them and use tbem again.

Called for a big job, replacing kitchen and bathroom wiring. He was late to the quote and no-call, no-show for the actual work. I called him to ask how far away he was and he said he forgot about it and can he come the next day instead.

Great service! Communication was very easy and the online time tracker/payment setup was so convenient. I had 2 fixers install a range hood and they were very professional and efficient. Highly recommend.
