I had an issue last week where I had partial power in my apartment. Stefan was very responsive and was able to come the very next day. He arrived on time and was very helpful and professional. He walked me through options on what we could potentially do as a fix. In the end, he was able to fix the issue without it being a huge expense which was amazing and I was very thankful for. I am still going to consider a more long term fix that Stefan suggested, and would definitely use him for that work as well.

I love smart devices.  I installed (myself) a three-way switch and screwed it up......despite my best efforts I could not figure out how I screwed it up.... I called Sims and Sons and Anel and Darryl came out and fixed it in no time!  They didn't even give me grief!  They were great.  I'd use them again without a second thought!

Shoot out to T&D Electrical for some great electrical work. The business I manage used them earlier today to replace/install a hanging light fixture. Called yesterday & they were out today. Quick & efficient work with nice attention to detail. David was our electrician. We will use them again, for sure!  Price was comparable (w/in $5) of what we paid our previous electrician. Shop & support local!

Ted and Tom gave a reasonable estimate based on the scope of work I provided (outlets not working after a DIY mishap). They were able to quickly make the repair and explain the problems found. They also addressed a separate grounding/shared circuit issue they found. The additional charges for the increase in scope/time was very reasonable.

Would recommend them if you have residential electrical wiring issues.

Chris was AMAZING! He was super reliable and took such great care in my forever home. He has come back twice and each time he has exceeded my expectations and I've already given his info to many friends who could use some electrical work. He hung 3  huge chandeliers with care and even made one work that didn't come with the parts needed from the manufacturer. He then hung an additional 6 other lights and even changed all my lightbulbs so they matched in color!

He also came back and hung two tvs for me the second visit which I can assure you will not be his last!

Received great and prompt service from Edward and Julio to install a nest doorbell that needed extra work than the simple install on the packaging. Julio was very respectful of the end cosmetics and worked with us on very professionally the project. Bonus points for mask wearing!

Ryan responded right away and was at our house in about an hour.  He quickly diagnosed the problem and even made a follow up phone call to provide additional advice on how to handle the ComEd when they arrived and started their work.  Professional, personable, and a pleasure to work with.  Also reasonable.  Definitely recommend him.

Everyone at Highlights is amazing. The staff answering the phone is nice, professional and efficient. The guys that came out to fix our electrical problem with the A/C unit were also extremely nice and professional. They made two trips to Home Depot to get the right materials during their visit here. It was obvious that doing the job right was important to them.

Communication is probably their strong suit, which can be hard to find with contractors. I highly recommend!

We are in the process of tearing down a house we recently purchased, and hired Rogelio at Alex Electrical to cut the main electrical line from the pole to the house, as well as remove the cable lines, the electric meter, and the electric box in the house. Rogelio was extremely knowledgeable, very responsive, professional, and got the job done in less time than the estimate. My cat had sprayed into an electrical outlet which in turn shorted out all of the outlets in the living room & small kitchen of my condo.  When I called to describe the problem, Neville responded he would be able to have two guys (Johnny & Alex) out in about an hour.  He then texted me their rates, letting me know immediately that I was eligible for a discount.   When they arrived they were friendly, courteous, & professional.  Not only were they able to fix my outlet issue but when I asked about a light fixture that had been also giving me issues, they were more than willing to take a look at it and were quickly able to determine the source of the issue.  I was very pleased with their polite, prompt, knowledgeable service and would use them again.

Absolutely great company to deal with from initial quote, consultation, customer service and installation point of view. The entire team was a pleasure to deal with, and communicated throughout the process for install, permits, and inspections. We had some new power sockets installed for our laundry area and the job was very neat and smooth. Would highly recommend and will be working with Kinetic again in the future!

I had 3 people come out for discussions on our project and Tom came up with great recommendations for outdoor installation of lights and fixed some landscaping spotlights. My go-to.  We just finished a major renovation of our house, but we had lots of little things that needs attention.  I tired Fixer for a simple paint job and leaky sink, and after their professionalism, communication, and work I was impressed.  They are also a Public Benefit Corp with apprenticeship and training for their employees.  Mission driven too?!  Love it.

The process of scheduling through their website is also smooth and another reason why they are my go to.  Instead of awkwardly trying to explain over the phone to someone, you get a text confirming the time slot and request for pictures.  Based on the pics, you get an estimate of hours.  Work gets done, auto-pay like Lyft, drop a tip if you'd like, and done.  

Final bonus - they are honest about what they CAN'T do.  We had a leak under our tub.  The guy inspected it, found the issue, said it's beyond their type of handyman work, and within 10min they texted me referrals to plumbing companies with the right hardware and expertise.
