Very happy with AC/DC, Stephan, his work, follow up and pricing.  We needed to update some old lights and failed wiring in our practice.  First, we reached out to a number of electricians requesting estimates.  Stephan was quick to respond and offered a convenient time to meet.  His estimate was thorough, clear, and fair.  He recommended a great solution and timetable. Within a short few days  he was able to do the work in a timely, quick and professional way.  He even did some touch up painting around the newly installed exterior lights.  The job site was also cleaned and left in perfect condition.  The job looked great except for one of the back security lights it seems that the inside wiring was faulty and did not provide power.  Stephan was quick to follow up and came right out to find and fix the problem.  We couldn't be happier or give a higher recommendation to Stephan and AC/DC Electric.

These guys were amazing. I contacted them after my whole house lost power. They were prompt, communicative, and kind. Nell and the owner came to my rescue. I feel really safe with them in my home and they did a great job not only fixing the issue but helping me understand what happened so I could better care for my home. Initially gave them a 1-star rating after they refused to give any idea of cost, unless I paid $135 to get a quote. This sounded outrageous and I complained; the owner called me and arranged a time to come out and quote the work. He was nice and very reasonable. I agreed to the price and work was done timely and professionally. Star rating adjusted.

Joe is fantastic!  Joe did all this at our 80 year old house:
- replaced old ceiling fan with new ceiling fan/light fixture
- removed old track lighting and replaced with pendant lights
- installed chandelier
- installed can light and overhead light in kitchen
- replaced/repaired switches

Joe knows what he is doing and offered suggestions to improve our lighting ideas.  He dealt with the quirky wiring in our old house.  He was very responsive and worked quickly and cleanly.  Joe's prices are fair and reasonable.

I highly recommend Joe and will call him again if we have future electrical needs.

I reached out via Yelp on a Friday, and Chris came out on Saturday to take a look and provide an estimate (work across two units in our multi-family building). His prices were reasonable and we were able to get scheduled within a few days. He and his team did high quality work very efficiently. We'll definitely call him next time we need electrical help!

While trying to install a new lighting fixture in the basement of our 1920s home, we encountered some truly baffling issues that, among other things, affected the outlets in our living room upstairs. After trying to troubleshoot the issue every way we knew how, we consulted Yelp to see if there was an electrician nearby who might be able to sort things out for us.

After reading the glowing reviews of Ryan Electrical Power and Lighting, it was an easy decision. Ryan responded to my request almost immediately and was at our home in Oak Park within an hour.

As we expected, our electrical issues weren't exactly straightforward but Ryan took his time to locate and remedy the problem and, in the process, eased our concerns about the safety and longevity of our wiring.

Ryan was extremely professional and courteous (he chatted with my dad and explained everything he was doing every step of the way so we know what to be on the lookout for in the future) and his rates were really fair. (When we inquired about the possibility of installing our new Nest Thermostat, he even recommended that we just call an HVAC professional who would probably charge us less!)

While we hope we don't have any electrical/wiring issues in the near future, we most certainly will call Ryan first if anything comes up!

Great service! I had an emergency with one of my rental units with no electricity due to a electrical wire issue. I called this company and they were  professional, prompt (got here in an hour) and took care of the problem immediately! Electricity was back on in no time! They charged a reasonable
Price for such an emergency too! I thought this would  a bigger job but Raul knew right away what the issue  was and fixed it. There was no additional fluff work and they didn't charge me  anything extra. I would definitely use them again!!

Very happy with the work Tweaks & Finishes did. We've used them multiple times to hang lamps, switch out fixtures, and switch out switches. They were easy to get a hold of, easy to schedule, and kept us informed of what they were doing as they were doing it. They made some recommendations for our fixtures and switches to work more efficiently. They completed the work quickly and professionally. Will continue to use them for any electrical work.

Recently used Urban Power to have third panel installed at my 2 flat in Logan Square and the needed infrastructure installed to house a new third meter.  I found Jake to be easy to work with. I feel all work was completed satisfactorily and in a timely manner.  I also felt the pricing was fair compared to other quotes I received.  I felt some of the other quotes I received, the companies were trying to over sell me.  Jake quoted the proper materials need to get the job done.  I would gladly use Jake again in the future and recommend him.

Neville and I exchanged no less than a dozen emails over the course of two months while my wife and I tried to decide on lights over our kitchen island. He checked out a ton of different links I sent him, asking the right questions to save us from potential problems and helping us understand our options.

Today he and Johnny came out and installed the track lights over the island as well as 3 other lights. Job well done.

Kinetic has been great,  as a single mom, who works full time, not in the electrical industry. I am so  grateful to have a company like Kinetic out there.  I am a new home owner, and the home I purchased needed some upgrades. Kinetic responded to my needs, sent someone out immediately. The work was completed in a timely fashion and I was not overcharged,  which was my biggest fear. I will continue to use and recommend Kinetic. This company is awful. I've tried using them 3 times, each with terrible results. They have zero communication when they are running late. On two separate occasions, an hour had passed with no fixer and no update, only for this company to cancel and try to reschedule. Terrible and unreliable. Do not use them!
