A+ work on my condo! We had some wiring issues and our lights in our kitchen would never turn on fully. We reached out to AC/DC and they responded in a timely manner and were also very friendly. You can tell they are trying to save you money, while fixing the issues and aren't like companies that are just looking for a quick buck. They fixed our kitchen wiring and now I can see while I'm cooking again! They also looked at a few things in the bathroom while they were here and were looking forward to having them come back. Thanks so much!!!

Hi! We lost electricity in half of the apartment and could not figure out the root cause. After investigating, Darell changed the main breaker, he came to our place very quickly and was very reactive. I felt comfortable with his detailed explanations and the cost seemed fair to me.

I sent an email to T & D just after 10:00 PM one night after the power started going on and off in part (but not all) of my house.  The specific way in which this was occurring made me quite anxious, and I was impressed to see, when I got up the next morning, that T & D had responded to my email at around 1:00 AM and had already scheduled to come to my house first thing that morning.

Rodrigo arrived as scheduled, did a thorough assessment and diagnosed the problem.  It turns out that ComEd was the responsible party for addressing the issue.  I contacted ComEd while Rodrigo was still at the house, and he got on the phone and explained his findings to them.  They scheduled a visit for that same day, based on Rodrigo's diagnosis of the problem, and late that evening the ComEd technician came to the house and made the necessary repair.  The ComEd electrician confirmed that Rodrigo had been spot on in his assessment and the problem was solved, much to my relief.

Not only was Rodrigo accurate and professional in the service he provided, he was also very personable and took the time to explain thoroughly what he found.  Highly recommended!

Ted is seriously the best. He is super reliable, really professional and smart. I have had him do a few things in my home. Everything is done correctly, on time, and exactly how he said it would be. My husband who doesn't like hiring people to do work in the house thinks that Ted is worth every cent. I actually decided to write this review because I was looking for his number to do some additional work in our kitchen and came across his name on Yelp.

Not sure of relationship between reviewer on June 27 and Joe. But I will factually restate what happened on my first and only experience with Joe. He call me at about 11:00 to say he would arrive in 20 min. He arrived about 11:20. Fixed 2 bad switches easily. Then started on the main project, a lighting fixture on our kitchen ceiling. It was a fluorescent fixture with 8 bulbs, custom done. He tried to fix it and recommended upgrade to LED. That did not work. He then said that he could not fix it and I would have to buy a new fixture. He then did proceed to try to fix it more and cut 11 wires (I still have the 11 wires he cut out) while swearing. He then said that it could not be fixed, and we would have to buy a new one. He then charged me $150. I asked for a receipt of labor and parts. He said he did not do that for such a small job. I asked how much the labor was for 1 hour - it was now 12:20. He said he arrived at 11:00. I reminded him that he called me at 11:00 and arrived at 11:20. He then dropped the price to $125 - so I assume $75 for labor (what he had told me his hourly rate was) and $50 for parts (parts being 2 small plastic light switches) A place he recommended to call to get a light replacement confirmed my belief that this would be custom new lighting and extremely expensive. I called another electrician, who came over, replaced the wiring that was cut by Joe and had the light working that day with much better lighting than the fixture had previously. This new electrician gave me an appropriate bill with labor and parts appropriately identified (cheaper hourly rate than Joe I must add). So not sure who Aaron is but given his quick response to my review, I am a little suspect. Do what you want - just want others to avoid my experience.

I needed some electrical work done in my garage and MNC did great work.  Quick response, quality work and a good price.  I recommend.

All around great first time experience. I called on a cold snowy night and the owner had someone (Leeroy) out to me within a couple of hours. Leeroy was great, and fixed my issue with my outdoor GFCI outlet almost instantly. So thankful to have a great electrician in my phonebook now!

very professional, helpful with questions.  Ryan has worked on our electrical issues twice now.  each time he has done a great job.  If we need electrical service again we will call on this guy.

Make sure you discuss the feasibility of the installation PRIOR to agreeing to have them come out.  I wanted to replace an existing chandelier with a 6 inch canned light to exactly match all the other canned lights in the room.  I sent photos of the existing canned lights and the chandelier.  When they arrived, the technician didn't even bring materials for a canned light and instead brought a DIY type bathroom style light instead, so they knew the installation of a canned light wouldn't have worked because of this adjacent vent and didn't communicate that to me.  This still charged me with the full $185 minimum house call fee in addition to the material of the fake light, when I could have just gone to home depot and bought it and installed myself in an hour.

Rogelio did a good job on our building. Repaired some outlets, in the apartment, garage, and outside of the building. He shared photos of his progress. We talk over the phone to clarify details and got a quote on the spot for additional work that was necessary and was finished the same day after getting the parts needed.
He is also bilingual, what helps communicating easier for a larger population group.
All good overall.

After attempting to install a new light fixture myself I ran into an electrical road block.  Jose of Tweaks & Finishes responded promptly to my request for an estimate, and scheduled the service call for the same day!  Jose, accompanied by Rodney arrived on time, and treated me and my home with such care and respect.  Jose was extremely knowledgeable, and quickly diagnosed my electrical problem-explaining the issue(s) found along the way.  A quick replacement of a burnt out dimmer switch restored my lighting, and mended the mess I created. Jose and Rodney also cleaned up the wires behind my many wall switches which they found to be a safety hazard, and installed my new ceiling light-all at a reasonable price within my budget.  Both gentlemen were kind, professional, and mindful-cleaning up after any small mess that was made.  I am thankful to have found Tweaks & Finishes, I am looking forward to using them again in the future for a painting project. Recently used Urban Power to have third panel installed at my 2 flat in Logan Square and the needed infrastructure installed to house a new third meter.  I found Jake to be easy to work with. I feel all work was completed satisfactorily and in a timely manner.  I also felt the pricing was fair compared to other quotes I received.  I felt some of the other quotes I received, the companies were trying to over sell me.  Jake quoted the proper materials need to get the job done.  I would gladly use Jake again in the future and recommend him.

Kinetic replaced three light fixtures in my new condo, removed two can lights, reconfigured some wall switches (reducing the number of switches I had) and put a fan/light in my living room where there was no pre-existing overhead light. This required cutting two holes in the ceiling and took some time. Both electricians were very professional and worked diligently. They were very clean, setting up a plastic tent-like thing to make sure dust/debris was contained when they cut into the ceiling. I'm really pleased with the work and would definitely recommend Kinetic!

Tom installed a Tesla rapid charger in our garage yesterday. He did this with professionalism and expertise. I will hire him again for future electrical needs.

I just used Fixer for the first time to have 6 new smoke detectors installed, 3 a/c window units installed as well as replacing a single-cylinder deadbolt.  When the workman, Joe, arrived and realized there would perhaps not be enough time to finish the job, he immediately found another worker, Michael, who arrived quickly.  They were both really professional, polite and efficient.  Much appreciated!
