Howard was able to come by on short notice and address an HVAC circuit breaker issue we'd been having. I appreciated his quick turn around time, ability to assess the problem and get our system back up and running in short order.

I had an excellent experience with this company today. Within an hour of being contacted by my landlord, I received a call asking when the electrician could stop by. Being after five and a holiday week, I was surprised. He said he would be here within a half hour and he was. The electrician was knowledgeable, quick, and very pleasant in manner. He worked quickly and had everything working perfectly in a short amount of time. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for reliable electrical service.

We hired Goran to correct some code violations in my mom's older home, replacing outlets with 3-prong and GFCI and adding some additional outlets in the garage. The same day I called he came and did a free estimate. His work was quick and efficient and he did not charge more than his original estimate even though I had under counted the number of outlets that needed replacing. He is easy to work with and we thought his work was excellent. We are going to need more work done and will definitely be calling him. You will not go wrong by hiring Goran.

After searching for electricians I found small tyme Electric emailed Norh and we were so happy we made the right choice. After emailing back and forth he was very understanding, Although I knew nothing about electricity. He was very patient and was accurate with the pricing. Adrian Electrical Contractors responded promptly.  I contacted them after an electrical issue late in the evening.  Someone answered and found an electrician who could come out and help within an hour.  Our problem was fixed in no time.  Our contractor, John, was courteous and the price was just right!  Thanks again Adrian Electrical Contractors!  I will definitely use them again if a need arises!

We recently had a few ceiling fans and light fixtures replaced by Nelson Electric and the whole process was very efficient and well worth the money!
The technicians were prompt, polite, personable and made easy work of our requirements!
As an example we need to have a chandelier replaced in our 25 foot foyer and the two man crew did so with little effort!

Mike Gordon of MPG Electric did an outstanding job replacing under cabinet lighting as well as hanging a fixture that I hesitated to buy due to review after review saying how hard it was for their person to hang. I liked the looks of it and decided to take the chance despite the reviews. He had absolutely no trouble because he really knows what he is doing. In addition, he generously offers his time to answer questions as well as help with purchasing. His patience is extraordinary.

Our previous electrician left us with dimmers that didn't work for years. Mike knew exactly what to use and they work fine for the first time since we lived in this home. He is honest and charges fairly. We intended to add a dimmer to our kitchen fixture but then we weren't sure if it was needed. He was fine with letting us check it out at night, where we could judge better, and get back to him. He offered to come back and not charge the initial first hour charge or return it depending on our decision. He really cares about his customers! We highly recommend him!

One of the best electricians in the area, won't charge an arm & leg like the competitors. He installed new lights in my living, mounted my flatscreen & installed two ceiling fans. He is extremely knowledgeable and very timely. All services were done very quickly with no issues.

We have used Penco to service our standby generator for a few years and their attention to detail and thoroughness has been the best!  But this weekend performance tops it all.  We lost power and right away the generator kicked in.  We called ComEd thinking it was a power outage.  Long story short:  no power outage and the generator was not malfunctioning.  We were instructed by mpower to get an electrician.  I was amazed that in two hours of calling Penco, they were here on a 92 degree day checking everything out.  It turned out to not be an electric issue but rather our air conditioner died.  Thank you Penco for your outstanding customer service!

Chris of thegoodguys does what is needed to be done even though it may be less work than what he could charge for.  That built a lot of trust.  They did some painting, caulking and minor wood repair for us. All work was done well - they were friendly and professional to deal with which just makes the process that much easier.

I had Caval Electric do some work for me today and I was really glad I did.  Carlos showed up early, which is always a plus in my book.  I did something really stupid with my hard-wired smoke detector and lost power to part of my apartment.  However, it turned out that really wasn't the source of the problem:  when I was monkeying with the fuses in my old-fashioned fuse box after the incident, I removed one where the socket was defective. I couldn't put the fuse back in properly and thus the power loss.

Carlos discovered the problem in my fuse box, crafted a solution to it, and reconnected my smoke detector.  He was friendly, polite, and quick, but he took the time to explain to me what the problem was and made sure I understood how to replace the battery in my smoke detector and reattach it to the ceiling.  To top it off the price was very reasonable.  I will be calling Caval the next time I need an electrician.

We made an appointment for an estimate and nobody showed up. I called and only received voicemail and nobody returned my calls. Based upon other more positive reviews, I was disappointed in the unprofessional treatment.

The technician was great, BUT they have hidden fees and their price list is highway robbery. They charged $49 just to walk in my Door, then another $225 JUST to diagnose and tell me what's wrong, and finally $403 to replace a $25 breaker. The diagnosing fee doesn't even go toward a repair...it's a compounding fee schedule.  THEY WANTED $677 TO METER TEST AND REPLACE A $25 PART. A 15min JOB! Do yourself a favor and get an electrician that will give you a FREE estimate!!!

I live in a very old apartment building (about 125 yrs old) and I was in need of getting two closet lights fixed.  I found Dosie Electric here on Yelp (who was nearby my residence) and called to request help.  Mr. Dosie explained his pricing and set up a date to come out.  This man is very prompt and very professional.  He had to get some parts for the job and was able to come back the next day and was able to use my existing fixtures which saved me money.  He will not sell you what you don't need...he does only what is necessary and it's very important to me because we know how expensive an electrician can be.  It's wonderful to have somebody who is old school and won't try to rip you off. His prices are VERY reasonable and I cannot say enough about Mr. Dosie.....I will definitely keep him in mind if I have any other electrical work that needs to be done.  I highly recommend him!

I couldn't be happier with the service provided by this company. Tom was incredibly responsive and had his team on the job the same day I contacted them...a real blessing after all the problems I have had with my contractor. They did an exceptional job and were a joy to have in my home...even my cat loved them! They were professional, conscientious, knowledgeable, and highly skilled. I will definitely have them back and I would recommend them to anyone.
