This review is long over due. These guys are amazing! I contacted them through Yelp messaging and got an immediate response. The date and time was agreed upon and Dan showed up on the dot. We had a few things we needed done in our home and Dan's quote was reasonable so we got him to start the work. He worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up after himself.
We had a sewage back-up a few days later (our house is old!) so we called Dan again.
Their rates are great, arrive on time and their work is excellent!

I was originally referred to Dan by my father who lives in the area, and now that I'm posting on Yelp, I'm not surprised to see Bay Rooter has so many 5 star reviews. Dan has been helping us with our various plumbing needs for several years now, installing new toilets, troubleshooting kitchen sink issues, and most recently replacing our broken hot water heater.

Scheduling with them is easy as the woman in their office always picks up the phone quickly and is helpful. Dan shows up on time, is very friendly, and never gives up on an issue until everything is completely fixed and working 100%. Their pricing also always seems very reasonable for me.

Our sewer was backed up so we turned to Yelp to find a rooting and plumbing company that could come out on a weekend. Dan promptly returned our call and came out in a couple hours. The whole process took about 30 minutes and we were charged $165 for the service. We were even given a 30 day guarantee in case something happened.

We had issues turning back on our main water valve after Best Buy's Geek Squad replaced our dishwasher. The Geek Squad agent recommended we call a plumber to have our main valve replaced.

Bay Rooter came by our house and with two rotations of the valve were able to start our water flow. They also educated us on a better way of shutting off water, we will definitely use that method next time.

I saw Dan working on my neighbor's house, so I asked him to come take a look at a leak we're having in our bathroom sink. He came, showed me that the problem is with the faucet, and gave a reasonable quote for the full service of going to Home Depot, buy the faucet, and install it. He went there, sent me photos of faucets to buy, and then came and installed it, all within about one hour. The installation was well done. He left everything clean and tidy. No dirty rags, no oil stains anywhere. The faucet works as expected. Overall a very stress-free experience.

Had a minor emergency with the hot water line to bathroom sink. Called Handy Rooter & Plumbing and Trieu answered (no waiting). After explaining my problem, he assured me that he can fix it. Within one hour from initial call, he was at my house and with proper tools, he fixed my problem in less than 10 minutes. Other plumbers were quoting me $89 just for coming out to my house; parts and labor not included. For $99, my problem got fixed, and Trieu also identified future problems, which I will definitely call him back to fix. Thanks again for the fast and professional service Trieu.

I have used Bay Rooter and Plumbing for over 5 years for various jobs. Dan has been excellent in taking care of our problems. He is very good at nailing down the problems and has never done a job which was not worth the time and money. He is diligent and if needed spends time to correct the problem. He cleans up everything after he is done. Today he took care of another one of my headaches.

Once another plumber had done guesswork and left me with big bill and frustration. Dan took care of that issue right away and I never had that problem again. We have recommended him to our friends and relatives and they had a similar experience. I would recommend him anytime.

If I ever need a plumbing service this is the first place I will go to. Dan was the most amicable person I have met in all the home related repairs and service experience I have had till date. He not only explained everything to us in a clear and concise manner but was very thorough in his job and ensured that the clog was completely clear. Since it was not possible to extract the clog with just a snake he had to cut the pipe remove all the contents, vacuum the pipe stub entering the main line and then rejoin the pipe. All this at a very reasonable price. I would recommend Dan and this company to everyone for their plumbing needs.

Bay Rooter promptly responded within half an hour to my quote request to fix a leaky kitchen sink. I sent the message before 6 am on a Sunday so they really are on top of it. I received the quote, not cheap but plumbers usually are not, and then I scheduled the appointment for Monday morning at 10 am. Dan arrived at exactly 10 am. He took a look, told me exactly what was wrong and noted another issue with the water pressure. He identified the cause of the water pressure problem, cleaned it up and fixed the broken cartridge which was causing the leak. In addition, he cleaned up the messy grout work around the faucet that was done by the original plumber who installed it. Dan was fast and efficient. Overall, it took him less than an hour to do the job and I am very satisfied with his work. I will definitely use him again.

This is review is long overdue as I've used Bay Rooter 3 times in the last 5 years. Dan is knowledgeable, fast, friendly and saved my butt on more than one occasion. Most recently at about 8PM after work, I tried to do a quick fix on a single handle shower faucet that was leaking. I was able to get everything back together and it wasn't until I turned the main line back on, that I realized something major had occurred. When I was removing a stubborn retaining ring from the faucet, I over torked and inadvertently cracked one of the pipes in the wall. In a panic I called Bay Rooter, who was quick to return my call. Dan rearranged his schedule to fit me in at noon the following day. Needless to say, after about 3 hours of work, we were back up and running with a new faucet and copper pipes in the shower. Thank you Dan and Bay Rooter, you have saved my butt once again !!

Our homestead is fairly new (around ten years old) but when we first moved in our water heater was needing to be replaced. BRP came out and replaced our water heater. They were very thorough from removal to installation of the new water heater.

I had a plumbing problem in my condominium that needed the water shut off to replace a part. When we tried to shut off the water, we found that the shut off valve wasn't working right and would have to be replaced. Condos are set up so that each building shares a shutoff valve and one main shutoff valve for everyone. This all meant a lot of coordination... shutoff notifications for everyone, working around the condo plumber's schedule, and working with my plumber's schedule. Dan and Rozina were great through the whole process. Scheduling with them was the least of my problems. They were flexible and patient with all the schedule changes. It took 2 weeks to set up for the job, and it took Dan less than an hour to finish the repair. I highly recommend them.

We had problems with our new faucet in the kitchen it almost trickled down to nothing. The gentleman that showed up he unscrewed and opened the top of the faucet and their was particles that had broken off and had been caught in the screen and he just cleaned it and it worked perfectly and he didn't even charge us. Absolutely fantastic service.

Had a bad clogged toilet and also wanted a couple slow drains cleared. Got it all done in one trip and less than an hour.

Dan handled the work very well, professionally and felt like there was authentic Integrity (no rip-off motive was felt after work done).

He explained that company is family owned (his Dad runs it) and has been around 10 years. What stood out: Dan was so pleasant to deal with both my wife and I. My wife is very picky and was so pleased. Work was excellent and carefully done, and he even helped us add a small addition to the shower head.

When I initially looked for a plumber, I got a variety of quotes. Some lower than this company but they agreed to a reasonable price when I requested a lower price. Let me say: Their original pricing was not way off so don't let this discourage, as the quality of service is critical too, and I'm very happy.

Dan is a honest and great plumber! !! He came over to fix our washer drain and sink drain a couple of months ago through our home insurance. I was impressed with his work and detailed explanations.

I got a toilet plumbing issue and called Bay Rooter & Plumbing for help. The owner showed up on time and examined the issue. Turned out that it's something that my builder should be responsible for because the root of it had started from the cleanout being plugged up outside my unit. He spent an extended amount of time analyzing what went wrong and gave me his suggestion of how it should be solved without any charge. I had a broken water pipe under my driveway and live in San Rafael. One plumbing company wanted to run the pipe up into and over the top of my garage the other plumbing companies wanted me to start by spending $300 to have a trench-less guy come scope the pipe before they'd come out. (why if it's broken, is PVC and they were going to have to replace it)?
Found Israel on a Sunday morning, he answered his phone. Monday he was here and went to work with a plan to keep the pipe on the ground. At 6PM he had finished cutting through the bottom of my driveway installed a new copper pipe to replace the broken PVC one, cemented the 4 seam he had removed,and laid the grass back down. He was efficient, left the place like he found it, (minus the broken water pipe) and courteous. I would recommend him highly to anyone who has a broken pipe or smaller plumbing needs.

I called Bay Rooter & Plumbing to unclog my sink. I have called several other places as well but they were charging way higher than them. Dan came the same day I called and I was extremely pleased with his professionalism. After he fixed my sink, I showed him other problems in my two bathrooms and he gave me a price without any pressure whatsoever.
So I went ahead and had him do the job.

Dan came by today to fix the unit that ensures the hot water isn't scalding hot. The overall experience was top-notch. They called me within a few hours of being assigned the contract by Fidelity home warranty and we were able to arrange a time the next day. My home warranty company Fidelity sent out Bay Rooter. Fidelity's service people are on a hot streak for us. Excellent! Dan was our plumber. He advised me on which fixtures would work for us, came back to do the installations. Kitchen faucet was a hassle through no fault of theirs. Dan came up with a creative solution, treated us like family, strove for the highest quality job possible, charged us what was originally quoted though it took a fair amount of time.

I'm telling you, Dan's the man! I had several plumbing repairs and a new faucet install that needed to get done. I called Dan on Friday and he came the next day (today). He was so polite and explained everything to me with a very affordable quote. I said Great, do the work! He did all the work in what seemed like a short time frame. He cleaned up after his repairs so he's very neat. I felt very comfortable with him being in my home and will not hesitate to contact him the next time I need a plumber. I have already given his name/number to three people, so that's how impressed I am with him. You're flat-out awesome Dan ~ Bay Rooter & Plumbing!!!

Plumber (Dan) arrived within an hour of the call, and took charge quickly, looking at the drainage problem and found a couple of problems. In an hour, he opened up a deep blockage in the insinkerator and replaced a corroded T joint. Good work and thank you.

Hi! Dan just came to fix my plumbing and he is awesome! Bay plumbing gave me an accurate quote through yelp. Totally less expensive than some others. I called and made an appointment yesterday. Our upstairs shower stall clogged up and flooded the adjacent hallway bath. We attempted to unclog the drain pipe with a $12 snake and plungers without success. We knew it's time to call in the pro. Our Home Warranty Company sent Bay Rooter & Plumbing to the rescue. We were given a 3 hour time window (8AM - 11AM) and Dan arrived at 8:45AM. Dan deployed an electric drain snake. Within 30 minutes, he pulled up a big hair ball and the shower stall now drains perfectly! Dan also took the time to check our downstairs bathtub's drainage. He's professional, punctual and quick. I'll call on him for our future drainage issues.

Called this company for my condo. The receptionist has a thick accent and does not come across as the friendliest. Asked her to call my renter to set up an appointment, they never did and just sent the plumber there!

The receptionist swears that she did speak with my renter while my renter had no idea they were coming, think Ill believe my renter...Also, was told that when they did get the call, they were yelled at.

Another appointment is made to come back only this time, the plumber's child is sick. This is not the issue, the issue is you have only one person per day for any and all jobs??

They were going to call and tell us if this person could come the following day and by Day 3 no updates.

I have finally had enough. Thanks but no thanks. Ill find someone else. Here is your notification.

We had a kitchen sink clog that we just couldn't get to drain with nearly $70 of Draino and Liquid Plumber. Based on the reviews, we called Bay Rooter. They were out to our house promptly. We were told that the clog was caused by grease and only hot water helps. They snaked the grease clog out and repaired a broken pipe for $195. The service was honest and friendly, and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them.

We got Dan through our homeowner's warranty. I had a laundry list of items, and he excelled at fixing everything! He went above and beyond what I expected. For example, instead of just fixing the leaky faucet, he replaced it. He also adjusted our water pressure for no extra charge. I'd been having out a different plumber recommended by our real estate agent and must have blown $1200 getting him to fix things that just broke again. When Dan came out, he just fixed them. Just done. All in a short amount of time. I highly recommend!

I had Bay Rooter & Plumbing service my clogged main drainage line. The plumber came out and ran a motorized snake in my clean out port in front of the house. He seemed quite competent, and gave me pointers about what I should do. (I had some roots blocking the pipe. Boo.)

They were assigned to me by my home warranty provider, Old Republic. I was worried at first because I saw bad yelp reviews for another company by the same name, but I guess that one was based out of San Francisco. So I wanted to add this company to Yelp with the proper address so they don't lose business because of the other company by the same name, since he seemed pretty competent to me.

Many of my sinks and showerheads have low water pressure due to gunk clogging the aerators. Dan came highly recommended by a co-worker who stopped using other plumbers and only use Dan for all plumbing issues. He came on time and looked at 6 sinks and 2 showerheads (each with its own handheld unit). Dan determined that there is a lot of sand (which must come from the water supplier) and cleaned out the aerators. For the one faucet which was tricky to open, instead of scratching or damaging the chrome and charge me for the work, he gave me some tips on how to get to the aerator myself, but would require some patience and wait until the following day to attempt to open the aerator. He also told me to call Grohe directly to have their technician come and fix or replace the showerhead as there was still low pressure even though there was no sediment obstructing (Grohe should have a lifetime warranty, and I would not need to pay). Dan did not charge for this service. He said he was happy to help with such a small job and ask that I will call him for any plumbing needs in the future. I will definitely contact Dan for any future plumbing needs.

We can't say enough good about the job that Dan from Bay Rooter and Plumbing. We were given a window of between 11:00a.m and 2:00 was here at 11:05. He snaked our drain and put in a new trap in about an hour. Their prices were very good! We will not lose his business card as he is friendly honest, competent,, had a very good price, and most important to my wife, he left the bathroom as clean as it was when he came. I will without hesitation refer people to him every time I have the chance. In conclusion Dan is the Man!!

About one year ago, Dan was sent to my home by my home warranty company. I was very impressed with his work. Two weeks ago when I had bath drain problem, I called Bay Rooter & Plumbing directly asking him to come. He came on time and used his power drain snake. When it cannot go through like my own manual drain snake, he gave me many good suggestions and didn't even charge me for his trip. I never meet someone who is so honest.

These guys are awesome! Fidelity home warranty sent them once a long time ago to replace my water heater which happened perfectly in a jiffy. Ever since anything plumbing related I ask for them. One time when they were on vacation I ended up with somebody else and it was a nightmare. The guy they have sent each time and has been wonderful is Daniel.
