I called Cactus Lock and Key because I needed to have my boyfriend's safe open. Sidenote: BF passed away and no one in the family knew the password to the safe. The company was able to open the safe! They took their time and was able to open it at a reasonable price! I appreciate their service and time during that difficult time. Oh btw, I sent a picture of the safe the day before to see if they were able to open it. They came the day after to work on it. It took about 1 1/2 hours to crack the code.

Very responsive and knew exactly what my issue was (door latch bolt stuck and couldn't open door). Easily scheduled him the next day and was able to get the latch out and replace it. Lock is failing and these guys came by and said they would rather I just take the lock back to home depot than charge me anything. This is the type of service that everyone should offer. I highly recommend calling them for any locksmith needs.

They were wanting to make their retirement on one call. They are not reasonable at all for the service I needed.

I needed a mailbox lock replaced, and the locksmith was able to come by and do it within 2 hours of my call.  It was easy and the price was reasonable.  I would use this service for future lock and key needs.

I sent several quotes and used Yelp for help with my truck and almost everyone that answered said my town was too far (even though they had my town as part of their area of service.  JJ answers my quote and although he was over 60 miles one way, he said he would come and help me.  He made several stops along the way for equipment and by the time he left, I was in my vehicle and keys made.  He was very professional and although I know he is in this business to make money, he did not flinch of driving 120 miles round trip to not only help someone, but he gained a future customer.  Thank you...

I am leasing a 2010 Scion xB and returning it soon since the end of my lease term is nearing.  I had lost one of my two keys to the vehicle, which includes an all in one key/key-fob.  Knowing that I had to have both keys when I returned the vehicle at the conclusion of the lease, I checked with a dealership on how much it would cost to acquire and program a replacement key.  Needless to say, the price quoted was excessive (over $200).  So, I began to look at more affordable alternatives.  I was able to locate a key/key-fob via Ebay, but wasn't sure if I should proceed.  After calling a few auto locksmiths, I spoke with Todd at Alcatraz.  I could tell he was a busy man who got lots of "locksmith" inquiry calls, so I didn't want to waste his time.  However, he did take the time with me on the phone suggesting how to make sure I purchase the correct key, etc.  He provided this info while knowing I could possibly go to another locksmith after I bought the key to get it cut and programmed.  That in itself is good customer service!  Another locksmith or two didn't provide nearly as much information (or were simply hard to understand).  With the info Todd provided, I ordered the key, which came a few days later.  Then I called Todd back to make an appointment.  He met me on a Saturday late morning and cut/programmed the key in less than 15 minutes.  He even found a flaw with the key I bought and fixed it.  Plus, he did this at a wonderful price, saving me easily over $100 (if not more). I couldn't have been more pleased and highly recommend Alcatraz Locksmith.

One other note which shows that this locksmith is a reputable one...  Todd had fielded a call which he was completing upon my arrival to meet with him.  While not going into details, I'll simply say that Todd was honest and forthright with whomever he was talking to, providing them advise on where to go for service for their particular auto issue as their request was outside the scope/reach of his services.  Hearing such advice and honesty is refreshing.

Great guy - came out on a Saturday within 30 minutes and opened the lock in about 5 minutes or so - dealing with poor lighting and maneuverability.  Not that I expect to lose my keys again - but if I do, this is the company I'll be calling

I bought a used Ford truck that only had one key and I needed to get a spare transponder key. They  gave me a fair quote (Rodeo Ford wanted $45 more and by appointment only) and I will be going there in the next few days for that key.

New to the valley and in my first home. I called to have the locks replaced. Instead of just going with what I asked for and collecting a bigger payment they suggested having the existing locks rekeyed. The outcome will be the same (locks that only I have the keys for) but by using the existing hardware I saved money. Also I called at 4pm thinking that it would take a few days for an appointment but 40 minutes later they were here working on it. Prices were better than I had heard from other locksmiths. Overall a perfect stress free experience that I could not be happier about. Thank you!!
