ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER
Locksmithing for the past 38 years, I have been living in Arizona since 1979, where I met my wife, who also moved here the same year. Our two children were born and raised here.
My son Peter joined the Budget Lock & Key team after years of experience working alongside of me. We do our best to be sure the job is done right the first time, and that you are 100% pleased. We do not try to upsell you once at the jobsite, and we stick to our quotes. We are happy to give you a free firm quote over the phone, and you can compare rates.

Thomas was responsive, prompt,
professional, competent and efficient. Rates were also very reasonable.
Peter came by and rekey all 8 locks and fixed the latch on one of my doors! It took him about an hr.. reasonable pricing compare to three other places i called!!

I needed a mailbox lock replaced, and the locksmith was able to come by and do it within 2 hours of my call. It was easy and the price was reasonable. I would use this service for future lock and key needs.
Tom responded very quickly and answered all my questions. Came on time and was so professional and friendly. I am in my 70's and am very careful about whom I invite to my home. Unbelievable fast turn around on very short notice-- was in a jam as I had lost the keys to my home(never really used them as I use a garage electronic entry anyway) and needed keys for the home to be placed on the market to sell--- Tom responded immediately and Peter was sent within less than 1/2 hour! Excellent service-- will use and recommend again.

So my mom had locked herself out of our house and we were in NY at the time so our only option was to get a locksmith to come out. I can't tell you how many I called before landing on Budget Lock & Key. They were all too busy, they gave numbers to other locksmiths, they didn't have anyone available or I had to make an appt. Which only added to my stress especially being 2,000 miles away. Well I am so glad to have come across this company I called, and the man that answered asked for my address said he could be there in 30min. I was so relieved to hear this. I confirmed with my mom and yep he was there in 30min and was able to unlock the door and let her in. I am beyond satisfied with the customer service!!
Tom Console, owner showed up at our house one hour after calling. As well as being extremely nice and courteous, Tom did excellent work fixing the lock on our security door and replacing / re-keying our front door lock.
If you need a locksmith, don't bother looking anywhere else. He's the best in the business. Thanks again Tom.

Reached out to Thomas to get several doors rekeyed and to install a keypad at a 'new to us' home. We made an appointment for later that day and Thomas showed up right on time. He does exceptionally good work, he's courteous, and he absolutely knows his business. Highly recommended.
We have used Budget, Lock and Key since the 1980's! You cannot get a more reliable service, and at an affordable price! Very friendly Owner, on time and courteous! Does the job and makes reasonable recommendations if needed. You can't go wrong!
Tom was awesome! Reached out and was able to come by the house the next day to change out all our exterior door locks! Super cost friendly too!

Right on time. Very communicative before the appointment. Found a cost effective way to repair my lock and corrected the cause of its malfunction (cylinder was rubbing against door jamb). Would highly recommend.
Tom was very friendly and efficient. He answered a few specific questions I had over the phone, and we then made an appointment for a few days later. He arrived on time and quickly installed 3 new locks/handles, which we wanted for 'aesthetics' upgrades. Everything looks very nice!
We also used Tom about 6 years ago when we first put new locks on our house. So he is 2 for 2 on quality, service, and timeliness! His rates are very reasonable. Very happy customer. Thank you Tom!

Found Budget Lock & Key on a Google search when I had an urgent need for a keyed lock on my patio door. Tom answered and my luck due to scheduling, he arrived 20 minutes later, added the necessary lock, AND fixed what my handyman couldn't. Did a great job - truly felt like he went above and beyond! Highly recommend!

Tom was right on time, if not even a little early. He knew I had to leave the house at a certain time. He was quick and efficient. I called on a Tuesday evening at 4:30 and he was at my house at 8AM that next day. He got a key out that had broken off and created two new keys in under 20 mins. Highly recommend!
I have used Bydget for nearly 20 years. They are highly dependable and well priced. I will continue to use them whenever I have a rekey or lockout.
As other reviews, happy to see the masks. They were prompt and very efficient, fixing a lock I didn't know was broken! Highly recommended.

I had some locks replaced by Tom @ Budget Lock and Key and although he was quick, something just didn't seem right. Halfway through the job, he asked me for one of my old keys. He didn't tell me why he wanted the key and didn't make it clear that he intend on keeping it. When he left, neither the old tumblers nor the old key were left behind. He should have asked me for permission to take my key and tumblers.
Once he left, I texted and asked him several times why he took the key, he couldn't give me an answer. Instead he wanted to know why I wanted it and offered to mail it.
Here's some advice - just be honest and straightforward. If you choose not to be, it's gonna look questionable.

You still refuse to say why you took my key. You weren't throwing it away so that I didn't "confuse the old key with the new key" otherwise why wouldn't you ask for all the keys to that lock? And why didn't you offer that lame excuse when I asked you twice why you took my key?
Excuses. And shady.

I needed assistance asap to get into my garage. Tom was responsive, extremely professional and courteous. He also identified several options to fix issues with my locks. Would highly recommend.
I highly recommend Tom. He is very friendly, prompt, calls when he says he will, and does an outstanding job all for a reasonable price. He will always be our first call when a locksmith is needed.
I've had Tom and his son, Peter, re-key locks for me on several different properties over the years, and their service is fantastic. When it's been an emergency, they've been quick to respond. And when it's a scheduled visit, they're on time, reliable, super fast, and efficient. I'd highly recommend them for all your locksmith needs.

Contacted them as I thought a deadbolt had broken. Explained the situation to Budget and they simply said I was using it incorrectly. Over the phone fix and no charge. Honest Business.

Highly recommend this company! Tom was great! I needed new keys for 5 doors in my house. I called Tom in the morning and told him my situation. He was at my house a few hours later. He was very reasonable too! If you need a great locksmith, use Budget Lock and Key! :)
If you ever need a locksmith Tom is your guy. He did more than we asked for and did a great job. I will use him again and hope others know about him now!
