Best Heater Installation in Chicago IL

Pat and his helper Kevin arrived on time November 12, 2018. I asked him to check out the sink drain connection and dishwasher drain connection since I had replaced a hose on the dishwasher drain and a P trap on the left side sink. In the process I thought I may have broken the seal on the sink drain and just wanted him to check my work to make sure there were no other leaks. I also asked him to replace a very short hose on the dishwasher drain that I did not replace but was old.
Pat had to replace my sink drain, the P trap with PCV piping and the exit plumbing from the sink. He also replaced the short piece of hose on the dishwasher drain set up with a different configuration. He checked the plumbing for leaks but we did not turn on the dishwasher. His price was $295 for one hour work parts and labor. When I questioned the charge after he left he agreed to a concession on price of $70.
After he left on Monday my wife turned on the dishwasher and when it started to drain a good amount of water immediately started to come out of the small hose connection. Pat returned the following day and worked on it for about 30 minutes and finally gave up and said I needed to replace the drain hose from the dishwasher and that it was missing a metal end piece. He basically just left and said it was an appliance problem. I called an appliance parts supplier and after explaining what Pat indicated the representative said that the dishwasher did not have a metal end piece on my Bosh dishwasher and that I might have a plumber problem.
With that I went to work on fixing the leak using the same configuration used before Pat started work on it and some plumber tape. After some effort I was able to fix the leak and tested it with a full cycle on the dishwasher. The dishwasher drains twice after wash and rinse and there was no water leaking form the hose. Problem solved
So bottom line Pat did not know how to fix the problem which is surprising given how many years he said he has been doing this. What really was unprofessional was leaving me with the problem and saying it was not his fault and call an appliance repair company. This would have been a one star if not for the concession on price. Pat seems to be okay on the simpler plumbing issues but not on problem cases. More interested in getting on to the next job. I think he is a one man operation so finishing quickly is more important than quality of work. I would not recommend them.

Mac is great.  I called him with a radiant heat issue and he tried to walk me through it over the phone and when he realized it would be more complicated than that, he suggested I call someone he says is more of a specialist in that area (since this was more heating than plumbing).

He could've easily charged me $100 or so for a diagnosis, but he tried to save me money and was very honest throughout.  I'll be going back to him for future plumbing needs.

Javier and Jonathan helped with a leak inspection. They were very helpful, arrived early, and made the whole process quick and easy.

They were respectful and did a great job fory Granny. I'll call you guys anytime.

Scott removed my 2 old faucets, kitchen and bathroom, yesterday and installed new faucets, shutoff valves, and waterlines. He did a highly professional job. He was on time and courteous. I am thoroughly impressed. He is a rare find nowadays. I recommend him highly.

I called and these guys were out the first day to make an estimate and check out what was going on with my water heater.  the next day Ben and George came out and installed a brand new water heater in addition to doing a lot of great pipework that was needed. I definitely recommend both of these guys to anyone as they make a great team and a very quick and efficient. I had some concerns about smelling a little bit of gas the next couple days and Ben came out right away on his off day to double check all the work to make sure there was no leaks. I would highly recommend Rocket plumbing and an extension Ben and George for their great work.

A few other things to note, I had recently torn my ACL and they were very accommodating. Furthermore they were very friendly with my 1 year old dog.

If you need a plumber and you're reading reviews on Yelp to find a good one, stop reading this and just call these guys. They're the best. Simply put, they do what they say they will do. You can't beat that.

Over the past year or so, Jose and his team have replaced a sump pump, an ejector pump, and rodded a dishwasher line and a bath tub for us. Every time, his team has worked efficiently (less than two hours usually) and courteously.

In five years on Yelp, I've written three other reviews ever. I'm happy to add a fourth for Windy City Plumbing. Those 5 stars are well-earned.

Very responsive and helpful with scheduling. Estimated price was higher than the work that was actually done and still and to pay the estimated price.

While this wasn't a perfect experience, I was happy with Sound Plumbing.  Originally I sent a picture of the cast iron flange in a guest bath I needed repaired and they gave me a quote.  When it came time for my appointment, they called and asked if they could come an hour early.  I rearranged my day to accommodate... then waited half an hour past the earlier time they were supposed to come.  But when they did show up, the guys were friendly and professional.  Got straight to work.  Being nice to my overly-friendly dog made up for the lateness.  They installed a new flange, and it was so well done we joked about not setting the toilet at all so I could just show guests the flange.  However they did slightly chip the tile, and if anyone looks closely enough the chip is visible even with the toilet installed.  Then I got the bill, which was almost 3x as much as I was quoted.  At no point was I informed about the cost going up so much.  The owner did review the bill for me, explained why it had been more than expected, and brought the price down to meet me somewhere in the middle.

Ultimately the work was as beautiful as a closet flange can be and these guys are clearly good at what they do.  And I completely understand that a cast-iron flange in a 100 year old building gave them more trouble than your average repair.  I would probably even use Sound Plumbing again, because the guys were great.  But I have to dock a star for asking me to rearrange my day to show up early, then not showing up much earlier.  And for the fact that no one told me either before, during, or after the repair that it was going to cost so much more than I'd been quoted, until I got the bill.  I really appreciate the owner working with me on the cost, but I feel like you should be warned at some point if the bill is going to be more than 10-20% over.  And DEFINITELY if it's going to be 300% of the quote.

J Plumbing was a great experience. I was able to book the appointment through Yelp (no phone call required). I needed a faucet installed and he was able to come fast and did a great job. I would highly recommend J Sewer & Drain.

Our toilet was backing up.  To add to that, every time we used water anywhere in the house, it caused that same toilet to back up.  It was a mess!  Hristo came by, removed the toilet, and brought in a machine to snake the pipe.  He then put in a new toilet.  Hristo was very professional, good sense of humor, and got the job done quickly.  It was a messy job and I never heard Hristo complain.  I would highly recommend Hristo's company for any plumbing job.  Thank you again, Hristo!

I called CJ Plumbing when the sump pump in our 4 flat failed, received a call back from the owner immediately, and had the pump replaced within a couple hours.  He (Dmitry) spent the time to ID the right size pump for the vertical clearance, and actually replaced the original with a more powerful pump based on the tech's input after arrival.  Warranties and cost of the job were clearly explained upfront.  This occurred during the Covid 19 crisis and the tech wore protective gear and sprayed alcohol on all surfaces he touched.

I had Juan and his team to replace a kitchen sink for us. The team was the best. Juan and the team did an excellent job, and they were really fast and made everything look really nice. And they cleaned up everything after they finished. I would definitely recommend him if you need to hire someone for sink installation, the price was reasonable among all others that I requested. I would recommend him to my friends and families as well!

Noel came to my home quickly to examine a drainage problem. Unfortunately he did not have his rodder with him (it was not his fault as I had given him some bad information), so he could not assist me. But he was really gracious about it. Strikes me as a guy who works hard and charges a fair price.

Last week I procured the services of Apex Plumbing for a modest problem of a leaking toilet base ring and flush valve replacement. I made the appointment with Coordinator Jenny who conscientiously kept me apprised of the 3 hour scheduling window and the arrival time. Upon arrival, Technician Geoffrey RAMOS assessed the problem, made a diagnosis with a full explanation then quickly commenced repairs. I must say, I have never encountered a plumber like Geoffrey RAMOS who is so passionate about his work! Not only is he a gifted and skilled tradesman but his vast knowledge of plumbing history is refreshing, too. I  found myself captivated while also being educated by his enthusiasm for his profession. A consummate professional, indeed! Technician RAMOS left a lasting impression as well as a stellar repair job. I am truly glad I chose Apex Plumbing & Sewer as I now finally have a permanent, reliable and, most importantly, trusted company for all my future plumbing and sewer needs!! Vanguard is my go-to whenever things go wrong!  They usually can come out quickly, do a great job and are super transparent about what they're doing and prices.  We've used them for fixing leaks, replacing faucets, installing toilets, unclogging drains and fixing the basement sump pump/sewer system.  Always a great job and we keep going back!
