These guys are great. All 3 units in my aging Cambridge building installed boilers courtesy of TFlow a few years ago. This morning I went into the basement and found water leaking... called TFlow and found Jonathan & Henry there in a flash. They tried hard to avoid replacing many parts and also gave me tips on dealing with ancient radiators. In the end, they did need to do some more serious work, but they did it quickly and efficiently and I was very pleased the cost and most of all, the excellent service. Thanks are due to Jonathan and Henry, and to TFlow for being such a reliable company!

Thoroughly checked the plumbing, answered all our questions and concerns. Found the reason the dishwasher had water remaining in the drain (which smelled awfully when we came home back from a two-week vacation). He fixed it by re-arranging the plastic drainage pipes.
Found the leak in the kitchen faucet (which was improperly installed, I was tightening it up every few month by myself, but it went loose over and over again) that made the granite counter top stain around the sink grow bigger year by year. Re-installed the faucet and sealed it.
All done in half an hour. I expected to pay a couple of hundreds, as I usually do to every plumber I had before. $45 - that's all he asked for! A had always felt as I'm ripped off by plumbers, mechanics, gardeners etc. This time I almost felt as I'm ripping him off.
I'll definitely ask him to come again this fall to maintain my heating system.

I live in a apartment building and had back-flow from the kitchen drain into the sink (and my neighbors had back-flow into kitchen sink and laundry). My regular plumber recommended this company and I HAD to make an emergency call on a Sunday afternoon!
They were very responsive and although my request got routed to three different on call plumbers, one finally showed up a couple of hours later.
The guy cleared out the block in the main drain and rates were average / reasonable- $250 ish.
The only issue was - when draining the back-flow water, the equipment used was makeshift (home depot bucket and some kind of wet vac lid), which sprayed sewage all over my kitchen counters.
While the main work was done well, we had to spend hours sanitizing and mopping up the mess.

Got back from vacation to a stopped and hissing toilet. A complete mystery to me. JE Murphy Plumbing showed up next day, as requested, and fixes it with no fuss and no mess. A reliable, responsible plumber who gets the job done.

We are extremely happy with the service from Bushi plumbing! Rinato was very professional and thorough. He arrived exactly when he said that he would, repaired our water heater & serviced our furnace, and then took the time to answer all our questions. We will definitely call him for our future plumbing and heating needs.

I called twelve plumbers when my boiler died on Patriot's Day. Steve, the owner of Champ Plumbing, was one of three who responded. He was on vacation with his family but he at least reached out and let me know when he would be available.
Long story, short. I used Steve and his crew to replace two problematic old boilers with two new boilers and two hot water heaters. It was a big job but I am thrilled with the way it turned out! Steve made recommendations as to what would work best for my apartments and the entire job went smoothly! He was organized, thoughtful and honest. He remembered every detail and threw in extra work at no cost. He cleaned up the work of a previously installed unit, descaled it and replaced some old copper pipes that he kept banging his head on :) Always showed up and followed up on everything!
I really can't recommend Steve enough if you need a plumber or a new heating system! He's the best we've worked with!!

I booked an appointment for 5 days out. Never called, never showed up. When I called, was told I wasn't in their system. Unbelievably inconsiderate of my time. Had to take a useless work day off. Would NEVER use them.
Addition: I did get a message from the owner and he did try to make things right. Unfortunately I had already booked another plumber and used them.

Bill did an exemplary job. He is extremely responsive, knowledgable, and a pleasure to work with. His customer service is second to none. He took excellent care of our furnace and addressed all of our concerns. I look forward to hiring him again in the future.

Our old central air unit was not working and my husband gave Green Energy a call and they arrived on time on the day we had scheduled. Because we don't plan to be in our home long term we were looking for an inexpensive fix rather than replace the entire unit. Matt was super understanding and offered us with reasonable priced options. He was able to repair our unit at 1/5 of the cost of what we anticipated and he fixed it that day. We highly recommend Green Energy! We will go no where else for ongoing maintenance and repair of our central air.

Apparently no job is too big or too small for Rapid Flow, quick to respond and concise about what they're going to do. Even when the job ends up being more complicated than you described and they expected, a solution is ready and quickly applied, without nickel and dime additional fees. I didn't have an emergency and they still got to me same day!

Eli and Casey from Budge It Drains worked carefully and professionally. I was glad to have found Budge It Drains, who 'made my day' after the work was successfully completed. I definitely recommend Budge It Drains.

Our hot water heater decided to die, I saw good reviews here on Yelp so I reached out to Clark Plumbing. Bill got back to me right away, provided a reasonable quote, and set up an appointment for the next day.
Scott and Bill showed up on time and completed the work quickly and exactly as quoted. Highly recommend.

Mike is great and professional! He swapped out two pipes/hose connections for me efficiently and reasonably priced. Would hire again!

I thought Joe was a stand up guy.
Then he scheduled an appointment without telling me.
Then he billed my credit card for the work without my authorization WITHOUT DOING the JOB.
I called him immediately when I noticed the charge and he said,He'd call his wife. And he just figured he could bill my card for the job even though he had not done the work yet???!!!
I had only used him once before.
Although, I've spoken to him three times, he STILL HAS NOT REFUNDED MY MONEY.
I've had to file a claim with my card issuer for fraud.
I have to agree with another reviewer.
It's hard to find people you can trust.

I found Chase a few years ago because I would often see their trucks in my neighborhood. Here's why I love them 1) So responsive. Never have to wait long for an appointment 2) The office people are kind and so polite 3) The plumbers are professional, always cover their shoes before the come in, polite. 4) Work is done right the first time. As it relates to pricing I don't think they are too high. The services I need seem reasonable. I was always counseled on the phone prior to the visit on what the base costs are. Super happy and highly recommend.

Great plumber, great price, have used him many times: furnace and water tank; sinks and toilet; and other smaller jobs.

These guys have saved me more than once. Neighbors basement flooded - Baker Elman was out there within 3 hours - fixed the neighbors issue and helped me diagnose and fix any impact on my side. This has happened more than once.
When I call them, they return the call. When I'm freaking out, they come to my house and calm me down. When I have an emergency, these people are there and will help you. There is no single, more reliable plumber in Boston - period.

Until today, I had a positive opinion of RP Holmes. In 2005, the one other time I used them, they came out after a snowstorm and replaced a failed boiler on my heating system. They were professional, the work was of high quality, and they managed to get the new boiler down & old boiler up a steep, narrow flight of basement steps since the direct exterior entry to the basement was buried in snow. Upon replacement, I even found the 1967 installation tag on the old boiler so I thought it was sort of karma that they'd done the work.
I'm now selling the house and the buyers' home inspector highlighted two plumbing issues for repair. Because of my previous good experience, I called Holmes. I told them EXACTLY what the problems were and what the inspector identified would be required to fix them. I needed a new expansion tank for the boiler THEY INSTALLED (I even told them that they had installed it in case they needed to look up the model to determine what size tank was required) and my water heater was not venting properly. I told them that I had a 3 vent pipe connecting the water heater to the chimney.
The plumber arrived on time, identified the issues and promptly left to go back to the shop and get needed parts. I didn't think anything of this - at the time. Stay tuned. Holmes' shop is 3.4 miles from my house. He was gone for over 45 minutes. He returned, installed the 4 vent required by code, replaced the expansion tank and gave me the bill for $300. I thought that was a fair price and I headed upstairs to call my credit card number in to their office to make payment.
Holmes called me before I could call them. They called to tell me that the bill was incorrect and that the charge is really $420.49! The woman who called said He charged you for 2 hours of labor and it really took 3. So I asked Does that include the time that he spent driving back and forth to your office to get the parts? And she said Yes, that's billable time and that's our policy. So I paid $120.49 for this guy to drive a van 6.8 miles.
I suggested to the woman that perhaps he could have brought the required parts with him the first time SINCE I HAD TOLD THEM PRECISELY WHAT WAS NEEDED WHEN I MADE THE APPOINTMENT! She responded that they couldn't possibly know what parts are needed until they assess each job. I agreed with her, but again reminded her that I had told them EXACTLY what was needed when I made the appointment. I said But I told you that I needed to replace the expansion tank for a boiler you installed and that my water heater wasn't venting properly. I even told you I had a 3 vent pipe. She immediately interrupted me and said That's not code. Code requires 4. I thanked her for making my point for me but she was insufficiently astute to grasp my meaning.
They had me over a barrel. I could have raised a real stink and told them that I would pay $300 because that's what the written bill from them said the charge was. But seeing the sort of people I now know them to be, they probably would have both sued me and charged the poor plumber for the shortage. And I need to close on the sale of this house in 3 weeks. So I paid it. And I told the woman that my previously high opinion of their company had been shattered. That requiring me to pay $120 an hour for their employee to drive to and from their shop is absurd - I could have chauffeured him in a limo for less than that. I said that they should either charge a reduced driving time rate or send a junior person back and forth at $15 an hour and charge me $25. But that the only term for what they do is ripoff. Plain, pure and simply, R.P. Holmes is a ripoff. I even told her that I work for a major bank and that if we engaged in a similar business practice? My CEO would be skinned alive in the press and by the regulators. I received yet another that's our policy in response.
So I closed the chapter royally pissed off, feeling as though I'd been completely ripped off and unable to do anything about it except what I promised her I would do: tell everyone I know. I said I'm sure I will again need to hire a plumber. I'm equally certain that it will NOT be R.P. Holmes. I live in a tight neighborhood. I will make sure to tell ALL my neighbors at our upcoming block party never to do business with R.P. Holmes - and why. I will be certain to tell the buyers of my house never to do business with R.P. Holmes - and why. And I will tell both my realtor and the realtor who listed the Newton Centre house I am buying exactly what you did and that they should never use your company.
The last thing I said to her was And you can look for it on Yelp! So here it is - exactly as promised and within the hour. RIP, R.P. Holmes. You do a dirty business - plumbing - in a filthy way.

We've always used them for servicing our furnace and they have been helpful and reliable. Today I had my first service call to them for an actual problem with my kitchen sink leaking. They came right away, helped me turn off the water in my basement and didn't even charge me for the visit because the problem is irreparable-requires a new faucet. Very impressed with the friendly, dependable, honest service.

Totally unprofessional. I called them multiple times to find out when and how are they going to fix my plumbing issue but no response. At least be courteous enough to say you are busy and not interested in small repair jobs.
