Best experience I've had with hiring anyone to help with a project. Ryan and his assistant were very professional, communication was excellent, they were punctual, and handled unexpected challenges with the job aptly.

The company is modern and you get email reminders and invoices through their online portal (no more checks needed!)

They were also considerate and wore masks throughout the job. I would highly recommend them for any plumbing job you have!

I have had several plumbing problems recently. I am so fortunate that Chris and Ray are able to be responsive. They are cheerful and pleasant, willing to explain what the problems could be. Then after they have taken care of it will explain how to prevent the problem from reoccurring. They are the best!!

Sent a message on Yelp for a request for heating repair. Company says location is Mission Hill. Got a response saying I am out of their service area. I live in Dorchester .. not sure how that is out of service area since it says so on the Yelp map. So frustrating.

We've used them several time and have always gotten excellent service. When our water heater failed they were out there the same day with a replacement. Ryan has been great to work with.

Can't recommend this company enough. Got a call 11pm Saturday night from my renters saying the hot water heater went. Scrambling because of the time and it being a holiday weekend I reached out to a few companies on here and got a response from Ryan very quickly.

Set up appointment for next day. He showed up early and the new water heater was installed by lunch time.

This is the third plumbing service I have gone through for various items, but this will definitely be the only one I use from now on!

From the moment I called them asking for a quote to hook up a dishwasher, fridge, and gas stove, to when Ryan showed up, the whole experience was extremely professional and of highest quality.

Ryan showed up early, made sure to text and email a confirmation ahead of time, was the only person to ask me for pictures ahead of the job to understand what he was getting into. He was extremely thorough, showed me where various shut offs and pipes were that I didn't know, and notified me ahead of time that he would have to disconnect as well as reconnect my appliances, which no one else had told me.

Overall I am extremely satisfied and happy with the service I received, the professionalism, and I would recommend him and this company to anyone who asks!

Words cannot express the unbelievable Ryan of A F Ventolieri plumbing. I will be referring him/them to every single person I know. I've already started texting my friends to rave about them.

To make a long, scary story shorter, I had an emergency issue with a gas oven. It was a Sunday in the summer in Boston. As you can imagine, not very many companies were responsive. I finally thought of using Yelp and I messaged  a bunch of companies.  Ryan messaged me back within five minutes, had a phone conversation with me in less than ten minutes and was at my apartment in less than an hour. Less than an hour. On a Sunday. He was extremely professional from the get go.  Ryan was so honest that after he came out all that way on the emergency call he told me at once there was nothing for me to do other than replace the oven. Being someone who has no knowledge about gas ovens and, given the nature of the issue with the oven still functioning, Ryan could have taken advantage of that and very easily and charged me whatever he wanted.

But wait, that's not all. I was frantic to have a new oven and, once I obtained one from Home Depot a few hours later, Ryan actually came back again. That day. Yes, I mean he came twice on a Sunday. The same Sunday.  I dare anyone to find a company that would do that.

Let me not go into a rant about how unbelievably well-priced they were. As in, lower than quoted well-priced. On a Sunday. Twice. Did I mention that yet?

I know it sounds nuts, but I'm almost happy I went through this ordeal because I finally have a reliable and honest plumbing company that I can turn to anytime I need without hesitation. Not something easily found at all.  If you've ever had a plumbing issue, and I have had my fair share of them, you know what I mean. Skip the rest of them,  save yourself the headache, time and money- call A F Ventolieri, talk to Ryan and you will have the best out there on your side. Ryan...thank you, thank you, a thousand thank you's!!!!

Scheduling was initially easy as we communicated via text. However on the day of the scheduled appointment (after confirming several times) I was asked to move the appointment on the same day. I then rearranged my work schedule to move the appointment, and then 45 min before the appointment he texted me to cancel. I was surprised by how unprofessional this was given all the good reviews.

Prompt, professional, reasonably priced and overall amazing. After he fixed our garbage disposal plumbing issue he asked if there was anything else in the house to take a look at and replaced a tub drain that was bothering me for years but never thought it would be an easy fix. In less than 10 minutes he replaced it. The final bill was totally reasonable. Highly recommend this company!!

Mornings where you have a leaking pipe in the basement are not good ones. This is something of an understatement when your condo actually is in the basement.  The pipe coming in the building had ruptured a corroded-looking fitting, and was gushing water. Fortunately, our basement drains right to century-old rocks, so it mostly was harmless.

Despite that, the surface-dwellers above us wondered why the building's water was shut off, so it was probably best that Ventolieri was able to show up within a few hours. Until then, they looked at photos via text message and were well-prepared when they showed up.

Upon arrival, their guy took some time to suss out how the system worked, and offered interesting editorial commentary on it (bad, of course).  But, confident there wasn't anything immediately wrong other than what was at his feet, he quickly performed the simple fix needed.  No danger of the 'we can't even let you drive this house off the lot like this, it's not safe' treatment.  A simple $150 fix done well and some insight about what might come next, but no pressure.

Much appreciated and we'll quote them when a bigger rusty thing breaks.  Or before.

We had to replace our old boiler and Chris was AMAZING! I rarely leave reviews on here, but this team was so great that I couldn't not do so. Chris is the best professional I have ever had the pleasure of hiring. His free visit to make the quote was thorough and he was kind and understanding. He went beyond his duty in trying to give me the best boiler and fix the pipes that had water in them. He then came back to test everything and will do it again in the fall. I wish every professional in Boston were like him.

I am writing this on the behalf of my company. I called to get more information a receipt that was sent over, and did not include a detail of what services were rendered. After calling customer service I was told to speak to a Manager which sent me an email to reach out to him directly. He gave me nothing but attitude and told me if I was indeed with the company I was asking for the receipt about I would have already received. They may do great work, but customer service is crap. I asked for a serial number to water heat that was installed in our office something that they should have on file, as I know I have worked for two master plumbers which both include these serial numbers for their customers so when they need to be fixed they have for the warranty information. Rude, rude, rude.

Good luck, I won't use them personally for this reason alone.

I had a phenomenal experience with A F Ventolieri! Our master bath flooded in the middle of the night. I called a couple of plumbers in the morning. A F called me back within half an hour. The plumber, Ryan, was so nice and knowledgeable. He helped me narrow down the diagnosis over the phone then set up a time in the early afternoon to come look in person. (He even took a meeting I had into consideration and came when it was more convenient for me - unheard of!)

Ryan was great in person - he was very thorough before reaching his diagnosis and recommending a drain company (who also came that day - fabulous). We could not have had a better experience with A F Ventolieri! Would absolutely recommend them for any plumbing and heating needs!

After searching for someone to work on a few projects in our bathroom, we were referred to Ryan at AF Ventolieri. Ryan was really quick with the work, and was in constant communication through the scheduling process. He was also able to find a part for our shower that others could not, saving us a ton of money on replacing the unit. Hands down amazing work.

I was just told that our office in downtown boston was not in the coverage range, because it didn't fall into a specific boston neighborhood. (we're located in downtown crossing, right in between a bunch of their listed neighborhoods). don't say you service the boston area if you don't....service....boston.

Chris and his team replaced our boiler and hot water tank with a tankless combi unit. They were knowledgeable, professional, and did good work for a competitive rate. Communication was good throughout the process even after the install was complete and I had Mass Save paper work to deal with. I will definitely be a return customer the next time I have plumbing/heating work to be done.

Had a leak under my sink and they were super busy, over a week out to schedule an appointment.  But I just happen to have some time off, darn.  But then he told me I could just get the part and replace it myself.  Simple, easy, five dollar part.  Didn't have to do that, but he saved me a ton of money and both of us some time!   Thank you

Ryan from AF Ventolieri was awesome.  He responded immediately and was on site within an hour to quickly replace a failed dishwasher disposal.  I reached out to AF Ventolieri because of a recommendation from a friend and also saw their outstanding yelp ratings.  Their service was totally worthy of their five star rating and they have earned my business and recommendation looking forward.

After he repaired our toilet once, I contacted him for help with a separate problem. He was kind enough to help me troubleshoot over the phone and I fixed the issue - I imagine other companies would have taken the opportunity for more business. Highly recommend!

Ryan was great! Huge help, honest price and very personable. He consulted (pics & description of leaky sink) before the appointment and told me the best way to get a part (for a cost savings) and quickly responded and scheduled with me. I contacted Ryan about my garbage disposal which was acting up. Via text he tried to help me fix it on my own, asked me to send him pictures, etc. I was blown away by his willingness to help. Ended up fixing the problem on my own, but will use him in a heartbeat if I have an issue again.

Yep, another 5 star review for Ryan.  He did some tricky re-plumbing for a new washing machine I installed at my place in the South End.  He was cool to work with, fast and thorough.  Also conservative - seemed like doing things in the way least likely to create problems for others in the building was important to him.  Thumbs up all around!

They ended up having to do extra work that wasn't included in the original estimate and yet they didn't ask or expect to be paid for it.
That is a stand-up business that will hold themselves to their own estimates ... even when they could have easily stuck me with an added charge as 'unforeseen problems'. .
They are a definite go-to business for all plumbing work ... without question.

Disappointed to find that he was not willing to drive 5 miles to Dorchester considering his posting indicates he services Boston and Surrounding areas and reviews posted show he's going out to metro west in Watertown and Waltham.  However, he said he was busy and would only service the South End.  That said, on the plus side, he was very responsive in getting back to me.

Many thanks to Ryan for being extremely responsive to our needs.  That counts for a lot in my book.  He knew got back to me quickly, scheduled a visit that matched my constraints, showed up, was knowledgeable and effective in resolving our problems.  I recommend him highly.

They say greater Boston but don't service Brookline. I was referred by someone but they were not helpful.

I needed a water heater replaced asap. Chris contacted me immediately and replaced the water heater the next day. The water heater works great and I haven't had any problems. Two years later I contacted him with a question about the water heater and he emailed me back within 20 minutes. Great customer service!

These guys are the REAL deal. They understand service and are courteous, prompt, professional and super responsive. I needed an emergency eval done on a condo in Allston on a Friday, and at first, he said he could go first thing Monday, but when he heard the story, he said he would get over there that very day. He explained everything clearly, quoted me the price, and was reasonable. He even stopped to pick up a key to my unit since I was out of town. Talk about above and beyond, I hope these people are sitting on piles of money because they deserve it for their hard work and incredible work ethic.   I can't tell you how many times I have referred them. I have used them twice in the past year with great results.  The first time they had been brought in by my contractor for a very tricky bath tub drain.  (When the old tub surround was pulled out the drain did not line up at all with the new tub and they did an amazing job).
Second time was to install and outside water supply line.

Ryan was prompt, knowledgable, polite, responsive, honest and fair.  I would highly recommend them and will be using them again.

Highly recommended. The company was the first one to reply when i requested a quote from Yelp. Ryan is timely and maintain communication throughout the process. We thiught that our boiler is beyond repair but Ryan was able repair it. So we dont have to spend $$ to replace the whole thing. He even fixed the heating issue that we had had but gave up on it because our prior plumber couldn't. I think we just found our plumber!

Ryan returned my call right away.  He looked at pictures of my hot water heater, checked with the manufacturer, and was ready with a plan.  Before coming out he made a suggestion and it actually did the trick and we didn't need service.  I was so impressed with his professionalism, quick response and willingness to talk with me and help me, that I called him when I had a problem with my heater.  To my disappointment, he doesn't do heaters but came back with a great recommendation for someone who does.  Ryan and Ventolieri Plumbing are at the top of my list of who to call if I have a plumbing problem or project!

I have finally found a great plumber! I requested a quote through Yelp for replacing a toilet and immediately got a response from Ryan. Rather than  blindly believing that I did new a new toilet (as I was told I did by another lazy and overpriced plumbing company), Ryan asked that I text him a picture of inside my toilet tank. He quickly diagnosed the need for a new flapper rather than a totally new toilet! We made an appointment and I now have a working toilet! I highly recommend Ryan!!

Great experience- called them - shockingly came over within an hour or so- was completely professional- fixed my my issues and was reasonably  priced. Extremely pleased with them- they will be my first call going forward.

Responded quickly and did good work getting our heat back up and running. I called and Nick was on-site in about 45 minutes and made the necessary repairs in less than two hours.

Ryan was excellent. Very responsive, getting the job done and cost competitive. Have had bad experience with other companies that did not get the job done or were very slow and unresponsive. This is the company to trust with your home.

All good.  Fast (same day) installation of a new water heater.  Quick response to my initial call, helpful Q&A by text, on-time arrival, thorough clean up and everything done as discussed.  Accepts credit card.

Ryan was great! I came home on a Saturday night to a puddle in my bathroom with a leak coming from the sink. Ryan contacted me at 12:30am and figured out the problem over text and showed up the next day at 9am. He was not only super helpful but made me want to continue doing business with him! Highly recommend.

I can't say enough good things about my recent experience. I have a small business and had a water heater start to go. They were booked two weeks out, but I basically begged and they managed to come in and disconnect my tank one day and replace it two days later, helping me to avoid a flooding situation. Ryan was terrific, fast, skilled and clean. Great customer service. They're now my go to plumbers!

Used these guys twice for our water heater.  Came out first time to assess our water heater and let us know if we needed a new one...i was not charged anything but it was installed by them about 8 years earlier so not sure if they normally charge a consultation fee.  Ryan was very honest and said we could wait and should be fine for a while.  He was extremely responsive, friendly and knowledgeable.  When our heater started leaking a while after their initial visit, I called them at 7am and the owner was out to fix it by 1pm.  $1,500 total.  The owner was also extremely nice and was a pleasure to work with.  Very positive experience and would recommend to others.

Fantastic!  Ryan responded right away, was able to come immediately to do plumbing work for a leak in my condo.  He was professional, friendly, and very communicative.  I really like that he tries to give you good information and education vs. trying to get you to hire him to do more work.  The price was also reasonable.   I'll definitely call again if I have plumbing needs.

I had a leaky toilet that was supposedly fixed by another plumber a few years ago, only to start leaking again three years later. Instead of calling the original plumber, I decided to call AF Plumbing, and I'm very glad I did. Ryan was incredibly responsive via both email and phone (he always responded within minutes of emailing!), polite, professional, honest, and extremely knowledgeable. Within seconds of surveying my toilet, he quickly guessed that a flimsy wax seal was to blame for the leak, and wanted to install a neoprene gasket instead (which the original plumber should have done three years ago). My toilet is a tricky rear-ejection toilet, whereby he needed to lift it up out of the tiles to install the gasket, and didn't have the tools he needed on that first visit, so he had to reschedule. He wouldn't accept payment for coming out and doing the assessment. We scheduled a follow-up visit the next week, and he was able to lift the toilet out without breaking any of the surrounding tiles, put the gasket in, and he also fitted the toilet with better anchors than the last plumber, all at an extremely fair price. He also followed up with me the next day to see whether there were any other issues. There were not!
