Best Toilet Installation in Seattle WA
OVERALL: 9.7/10. Near Labour Day 2021, I noticed that there were puddles of water in my second bathroom, and freaked out - I couldn't tell if it was from a pipe burst, a ceiling leak, or something worse.
It turned out (after a lot of self-experimentation) that it was from the toilet (most likely the feed that goes into the toilet bowl itself) -- since it was from the original condo build in 2003, and this was 2021, so... I guess toilets can stop working too?
In any case, I had to scramble to get someone to fix it since I was afraid the leak would affect the floor beneath me (given how terribly this building was constructed, I wouldn't be surprised if the between floor spaces had issues).
I bought my own toilet from Home Depot (thankfully they had some toilets, but I didn't get a water-saving one like I wanted because, despite the rebate, I don't actually pay for water in my building, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯), and set out to find a plumber to install it. I tried to make sure I found a local business to support, so off I went!
1) VALUE FOR MONEY: 9/10. All things considered this turned out to be the cheapest option I had, since the other quote (Joe's 2 sons plumbing) was almost double what this one was. It came out to $523 (after tax) for labour and installation (of customer-provided toilet); the cost came out to be the same for either repair or replace ($375 for an onsite visit), but I needed to also change the angle stop for an extra $100 (labour inclusive). After tax, that seemed pretty reasonable, since I didn't know how to do this myself (Eero had mentioned it was pretty easy, but if it was my first time installing a toilet... maybe I should watch first).
2) QUALITY: 10/10. So far, no further leaks. I had a smarthome leak sensor near the toilet just in case, but I moved it elsewhere in the home as I realized these guys were legit, and I'm very happy with this off my back!
3) SERVICE: 10/10. The workmanship was solid - the most impressive thing I noticed was that I didn't need to move my over-toilet shelf to accommodate the plumbing work.
He simply worked around it, and installed the toilet successfully! The plumber's name was Eero - he was no-nonsense, and even answered some other quick questions about my hot water heater that I had concerns about.
The full turnaround was only six days, from initial contact to work completed (including a site visit to give me a free quote). I contacted them on September 3rd, and they completed the work on September 9, 2021. Jeremiah was responsive and explained everything in a very thorough and articulate manner (especially given my lack of understanding in the plumbing space).

This is my first ever Yelp review and I decided to write my honest review for After Hour Services.
My kitchen sink has been stuck for more than 12 hrs. I tried different methods for 5 hrs but still couldn't get it resolved.
After Hours Services exceeded my expectations in many ways-
Responsive: Will replied my request for quote under 10 mins, and replied my text and call fairly quickly.
Professional: Will got things done in under 30 mins. In addition, Will was very thorough in examining andexplaining the issue. What I love the most is that he cleaned up the area after the issue was fixed.
Transparent pricing: he's honest and it's a flat fee and very reasonable price. I got different quotes and his is the most transparent.
On-time: he was on time, which is a very big factor for me.
Overall, I recommend Will and After Hour Services, with passion.

Very prompt and spot on with his initial estimate. He didn't have the specific part in his truck that was needed but drove down and purchased a nice quality replacement part and installed it very quickly. Hopefully we won't have any other plumbing issues but if we do I'll call Jeff and give him first chance at helping out.

This is the second time I've used Schuerman Plumbing. Both Jim and Mark were very knowledgeable, professional and pleasant! They replaced my refrigerator hose and valve- did a great job. They are busy so you might have to wait a bit to get an appointment. Molly-their receptionist is very friendly as well. Would most definitely recommend if you're looking for a good plumber!!

I was referred to WS Sewer & Drain by a friend and I could not be more impressed with Bill and Judy. They were so helpful. I didn't need immediate assistance so was able to schedule and get Bill over for an appointment and then a second appointment once all my parts came in without issue. Bill was fast, courteous and knowledgable.
I was so happy with the service, the results and the cost.
I would definitely recommend... Thank You!!!

One of their vans passed me on a double yellow line with on coming traffic. Extremely reckless and dangerous. I would never hire someone who employs such immature employees.

This company is responsive, up front and reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future. 5 stars all around.

Positives: Professionalism, Punctuality, Responsiveness
I cannot recommend Tim and their services enough - very responsive, easy scheduling and they to fit me in for garbage disposal emergencies which I really appreciate.
Tim is professional, informative and friendly. He's super nice to drop by and help clean up the mess I made (again), thank you Tim for being so gracious and helping out in these stressful times!
Great business and great people. Highly recommend :)

Action Jackson is a fantastic business and they deliver as promised every time. I recently had the opportunity to work with Jay and Josh and both were very professional, courteous, and provided a clear and concise breakdown of options. I am a realtor and need a professional crew that is exceptionally skilled while also being excellent at communicating and making my clients feel very comfortable as they are often present during the sewer scopes. Action Jackson delivers every time and I'm thankful I had an opportunity to work with Jay and Josh. Highly recommended!

Simple toilet repair turned in $10,000 job.
Thought I'd give them one more chance on another simple water heater supply leak and they didn't fix the leak and just wanted to replace the water heater. Had to call another plumber who just replaced the shut off valve to the tank which was probably the issue all along.
They give fair fixed price bids, but that does no good if they can't fix the problem.

Wow, Zach and his crew rescued us from a Thanksgiving weekend mess. A pump in our studio sewer system quit, and left us with no working water systems. They came out to inspect the problem on Friday, and had it fixed by the end of the evening, working in the dark and damp. And the bill for all of this, parts and labor, was quite reasonable. We highly recommend this company.

Tommy came out to my house and put in my new garbage disposal in no time at all. His kind and professional manner made us feel like we made a great choice to replace and have a warranty that we didn't expect. Thanks for making it easy!

Yes, yes, yes.
This are the most professional business I have ever engaged with.
They came out the morning after I called them (5pm the night before). The had a bid for me within the hour.
The young men who came and dug the hole were polite, professional and a pleasure to work with.
You won't be disappointed.

I called on Monday morning and got a same day appointment for a leaking kitchen faucet. Janelle was polite and professional as she booked my appointment. Aaron called before arriving (as I'd requested), removed his shoes before entering my home, was extremely polite, efficient, and professional. He even checked out a couple of other concerns around the home and gave me his professional advice on a number of different areas.
I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!

I write with mixed feelings. I had a leak on July 9 and Mr Rooter was available that day. The first visit was a disaster. The leak could not be recreated so the plumber cut 5 holes into my dry wall. TWO were bone dry. Which a water meter probably could have determined without cutting. He recommended I hire a water remediator service who could help identify the issue. Next day service comes out only to tell me they don't help with the issue but for $3000 they can remediate the site. Next day Mr. Rooter sent two new plumbers, as i requested a scope/smoke test. When they arrived they were unaware of why they were there and didn't have equipment to do a scope. They left. Next day Mr. Rooter sent a plumber to do the scope. He concluded it might be the toilet in the guest bathroom upstairs and that i didn't need a scope. Next day Mr. Rooter sent yet another plumber. He quickly determined it was a leak in the guest bathroom sink. When he found it was so incredibly obvious and he did a couple tests to diagnose how the water got onto the floor. He was able to repair several days later. Now I'm left with multiple holes in the dry wall. I am not a plumber and completely stumped why this was so hard to identify when it's so visible. I'm quite happy with the last person onsite but frustrated over all with the fruitless visits and subsequent costs. The plumber who cut all the holes in my dry wall did not seem well trained. After the last visit I had another water remediator (not recommended by Mr. Rooter) come out who determined the floor and ceilings were dry and that they didn't need to pull anything up.

My water heater broke and flooded the garage the night before Thanksgiving. I called and got many quotes. Vortex gave me a call back right away. They had the best price and they had the availability to come out on Thanksgiving morning. They didn't charge me extra for the holiday. They did a professional job. The new water heater was installed well and works great.

We had used Southwest for several jobs over the last 2 years, but their customer service has gone down a lot the last 4 months. In October, I scheduled a visit for an estimate. They called an hour before they were supposed to arrive and said they didn't do that type of work anymore (a bathtub install). Then today, I was going to give them another chance, and they said they would charge $89 for an estimate. That is ridiculous, and none of the other plumbers we contacted charge for estimates.

Unfortunately, I cannot give a rating less than 1!
I had a very simple job to do: remove my existing dishwasher and replace it with a new one that I had bought. Both these dishwashers are from the same brand: GE Profile performance.
I had called around an talked with family and friends and found that a cost of $120 to $150 was a reasonable cost for getting this work done. In fact Home Depot, Loew's, Albert Lee etc. also quote the same.
I called Puget Sound Plumbing and Heating and gave them the job description and was told that a basic installation would cost around $99.00 and if there was any complication or extra work then there would be an extra cost. That sounded reasonable and I booked an appointment.
Two guys showed up about an hour late and after looking at the job gave me an estimate of $650.00 to remove my existing dishwasher and install the new dishwasher.
When I asked for an explanation of the cost, he said that is what it would cost - no explanation. My dishwasher cost is in the same ball park, this is daylight robbery.
Plus I had to pay a dispatch fee of $99.00 even if I did not get any work done.
I called the home office to confirm why I was being charged such a large amount and why was I not told about the dispatch fee when I had first called. While I was speaking to the lady on the phone, the guy just handed me the bill, banged my door and left - how rude and unprofessional is this.
I described this event to the lady on the phone and instead of apologizing for the act of her plumber, she condoned his behavior as natural since I did not want them to do the job. Great!!!
She also went on the record to say that I should have been told about the dispatch cost, which I clearly refuted. I even asked her to go check her phone logs if they keep a recording - she said she would have to have her manager do that.
Please be aware of this scamming plumbing company.
