Best Toilet Installation in Seattle WA
Last October our home suddenly became super humid. Even the cats were getting frizzy hair- SO HUMID. Within just a week of this, our inner doors would no longer close in the frames. This includes the bathroom doors, so of course the dog and cats pushed them open rudely, and no one could poop in peace. Our hardwood floor warped, like imagine ocean waves made of oak. We then saw black mold creeping up and down the walls out of outlets, similar to the Conjuring movies.
I freaked out. Omg we have a flood under the house or a demon. I imagined the worst (a flood, I can handle the demon). Anxiety off the charts.
I called my trusty ole' insurance agent Chris Jones of State Farm, and like a good neighbor, he was there for me at 10pm, on his cell at home, Friday night, new baby, walking me through it step by step.
Chris Jones referred Seatown, hands down. We first hired an inspector, and he confirmed that under our house in the worlds tiniest crawl space, it was a
Roman sauna going on. He could hear the leak, but couldn't reach it because it was too tight to move. He also said call Seatown ASAP.
First time homeowners here, we just trusted the professionals.
Seatown it is.
Seatown's customer service agent was extremely professional and nice. She was able to send plumbers out quickly. She made me feel confident in choosing them by explaining everything they'll do for us in a reassuring calm manner. My anxiety lowered drastically.
The plumbers came out, one crawled down into the pit of hell, and he found the leak. It was the hot water pipe almost right under the hot water heater. (You should see our water bill for October!!) Only problem was....he was too big to reach it.
CSA contacted me with a new date to get their smallest guys out, which was if I remember correct, a week or two after this date. We were able to move it up and I was panicking because now we had NO HOT WATER since we had to turn it off. I can't go without a shower that long.
So the new guys come out I believe about a week later, and he crawls under the house. He comes out. In the course of 5 minutes he mentioned THREE TIMES that he's 6' 3 and 230lbs and no way can he get in there. When we told him this was the RESCHEDULE to get a tiny guy out, he told us that they only send who's available, and they can TRY to get someone smaller. Then be informed me it will be $250 for that visit. Excuse me what did you say to me? Yup. $250 for their mistake. All he did was come out and say he couldn't do the job!
But yet, they were both super nice and professional!! I absolutely believe they were just doing the job as they are instructed to do by the company. This is something the company should provide more insight to their plumbers on how to handle these situations that are not the customers fault.
So I emailed the CSR and explained all of it. I was given back the $250 to apply to the total quote, or I could have had it as a credit for another service offered. Again, very professional.
We finally got the smaller guy out. He actually wasn't THAT small. We had doubts. Like, place your bets doubts. This dude squeezed under the house in a 2' x 3 1/2' crawlspace entrance and for about 15 minutes we could hear him weaseling around underneath our feet. Long enough for us to start thinking he was part snake. When he returned to daylight he handed my husband a piece of copper pipe with a tiny hole in it, and said that was the problem. He had fixed the leak, and we were delighted.
Then, he went further to prevent me from downing Xanax over this entire mess of a house. He said all the insulation is dry. The leak fortunately was going straight down into the dirt under the house. Leave the crawl space open for a couple weeks, it's cold outside, and nature should take care of it. He said run a couple dehumidifiers in the house. We already have 2 large dehumidifiers we bought when it got humid so we were good to go.
Not even joking about this next part. Within a month the doors all suddenly fit into the frame, when they were 1/2 off before. Then, the hardwood floors smoothed out like nothing ever happened!!
We thought we were going to have to spend at least 20k to fix all this and it was only 800-something from Seatown!! A lot of people here complaining they are expensive. Folks YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. And, with them, we got experts and professionalism all the way. They have our business as long as we own this house.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.
Their services are way overpriced. $800/ hour.
Just do it yourself.

Our fixer was great in fixing our clogged kitchen sink. He was quick to diagnose the problem, honest in his appraisal of what would be the best and most affordable solution, and able to get everything done. We appreciate the convenience and honest and hassle-free process.

I knew nothing about Arc circuit breakers until hiring Dean. He explained everything he was doing and why & it all makes sense to me now. Highly recommend for punctuality, professionalism & communication.

I probably should have read the reviews before scheduling with this company. I needed my dryer vent cleaned, so on 6/22/21, I got on their site to book my appointment. Seemed easy enough, and I was thrilled that the next available appointment was the next day. I was only given morning or afternoon, no specific time. I took the day off, and when I didn't hear anything around 1pm, I called. Michelle in the office put me on hold only to come back on the line to tell me the automatic scheduling system did not schedule me. She truly showed no care or concern, almost like this happens frequently. She told me they're very busy & take emergency calls first. I asked when I could get rescheduled and she was very wishy-washy. Friday was open, but then she said she could no guarantee the appointment because an emergency might come up. Next week might work better for them, but then she went back to Friday. Time? Oh, she could not commit to that either. Ok, fine, put me on the schedule for Friday. The best was, I was leaving my house Wednesday around 4pm and there was one of their trucks around the block from me. Whatever. Well, today is Friday & took the day off because I was given no specific time or even time window. So, here I am drinking my coffee, and I get a text Good morning Katy, this is Maxie with Hunt's Services. We have you scheduled for a dryer vent cleaning. Our technician is unavailable today and we are having to reschedule all of his appointments for today to next week. We can offer you a $35 rescheduling credit due to having to move your appointment. Please give us a call at 253-533-7500 or text here, Thank you!. Really? I called & got Michelle again. First she said my appointment was cancelled due to emergency calls. I pointed out that the text said the tech was unavailable & all his appointments were cancelled. Again, wishy-washy, and slightly apologetic now. Second day off work, still dirty dryer vent. Needless to say, I'm on the schedule for another company on Monday, and sadly, another day off work. Thank you Hunt's Services for an unexpected 4 day weekend. At least the weather will be nice & there's beer in the fridge.

I've noticed the reviews of Southwest have run the gamut from one star to five star and everywhere in between. I can only rate and judge by the experience we have had. We've had SW come out and do three jobs for us since we moved in last year and began to remodel an old condo in West Seattle. Because we are four stories up, all our work requires a commercial plumber, which I'm sure that adds to the cost. SW is not cheap, but I have been extremely pleased with the work they've done. If I wasn't, I wouldn't hesitate to say so..
Andrew came out the first time and did a great job for us, followed the second time by Dave (who is a heat pump expert), who was also terrific. The office and dispatch staff did a terrific job getting us on the schedule quickly and assuring that either Andrew or Dave showed up. They also kept me posted on the arrival time. For this latest job Andrew and his apprentice, José, came out and removed a wall in order to move the water supply and drain for a bathroom remodel. They were right on time and called me in advance to let me know their ETA and again just before they arrived. There was no wasted time and they worked straight through, in very tight quarters, except for a short lunch break. My friend, who was helping me with the bath remodel, has been in construction as a contractor for decades. He looked carefully at the quality of the work and pronounced it Top Notch.
Andrew stubbed out the water lines and drain so we could install tile over the holes in the drywall. That allowed us to lay tile over the drywall without having to cut big holes in the tile. A few days later Andrew and José came back out and installed the valves and the drain pipe and helped my friend and me in so many ways complete the job. They did beautiful work and my wife and I are thrilled with the end result.

I noticed a water leak in my basement last week, we tried to pinpoint the direction of water flow and could not determine where it was coming from. We contacted Beacon and they were professional, on time broke down costs of tracing leak, Ismael and Bryan found the leak behind our tub .. they listened to our concerns and were able to guide us into getting a professional out to remove our furnace so that we could spare shower remodel... we got furnace removed and called Beacon back they repaired the leak and went above and beyond in making sure I knew what they were doing and answering all of my questions. Top notch service. Beacon Plumbing has been my go to for the past two years , after a not so good experience with another company.

I called on a Sunday and they returned my call immediately and walked me through troubleshooting an issue I had. Did not need them to come out after all but they were friendly and helpful and I was more than grateful for their willingness to take time from their weekend to help me out. Thank you!

Hired fixer, at a high hourly rate, to fix a plumbing problem at my airbnb in Seattle. Fixer was an hour late outside the scheduled window. After being told issue fixed, renter reports same problem 24 hours later. They promptly sent out another tech, who reported problem fixed. Within 10 days, another renter reported the same issue - for the third time.
They told me they would have to charge me for a repeat visit. They suggested charging me 2/3 of the bill because they had diagnosed and 'fixed' 2 of 3 toilet issues. No help to me, as now I have hire a plumber and am 2 weeks and 3 service calls into a problem that should have been fixed the first time around.
Only reason it's not 1 star is because customer service is responsive and attempts to be helpful. But, their inability to resolve a plumbing issue after multiple calls is a waste of my time.

Requested a quote on yelp and got a response within minutes of posting. Fast professional service during hours most other companies won't even answer the phone. Thanks Will

I emailed Craig for a quote for a ductless heat pump and he quickly got back to me and came out to our house (in Shoreline) to provide a quote. He was incredibly professional, friendly, and knowledgable. On the day of installation, his workers were clean, considerate, and thorough. He even called to check and see how they everything was doing. I would definitely recommend Craig and his company for your heating and cooling needs.

We had an electric project that we hired Dear for. I was unable to stay all day so the technician asked me to sign the papers and he would finish the work. Needless to say, he didn't. They didn't even let us know the work wasn't completed. When we called to ask when they were coming back out they had us schedule a new appointment. They were a no show. Scheduled another appointment. No show. This went on 2 more times. We asked to speak to the manager or owner and were told they don't have the information to contact this person. My husband ended up having to use 2 wasted vacation days before finally getting this resolved. Use at your own risk. They don't care about their customers.
