The owner Sam Biddle is the most polite and honest plumber we have ever met! Being a Master Plumber is totally a plus, too. Very thorough and knowledgeable in his explanations and work. He'll do very well in Hawaii. Total Aloha spirit all the way around!

This review is not about the actual work, because we never got that far, but about the communication before any job was going to happen.
I called Morgan in June to get a quote for a tub to walk-in shower conversion. I read in the reviews that they specialize in this, and the photos I saw online impressed me.
Morgan asked me to send him some photos and details, such as measurements, address, email, etc. I sent him the information via text message a few minutes later. He then replied with a link to a brochure from which I could pick the tiles that were to be used. After the last text where I selected the floor tile, I suddenly heard nothing anymore. I figured, well, maybe tomorrow, as we were getting outside his normal business hours at that time.
Tomorrow came, but nothing. The next day, I sent him a message to ask if he was able to make a quote, but received no answer. Another day later, I tried calling him, but no answer. About an hour later, I received a text message, saying that he needed more time to get the quote. I said that was ok, but it was the last I heard from him.
Needless to say, I was sorely disappointed when I did not hear from him anymore. Not only because I was really hoping for them to do my bathroom (after all, Morgan appears to be doing a great job, if you can get him to work for you), but also because I was strapped for time with family coming in later this year (though, at that time, I still had several months). It made me feel the customer's time was not important. A quote shouldn't have to take days if this is something you do often, even a spitball amount would have been good to give me an idea if we could make this work. It was definitely not for a lack of budget on my end.
If you do not want to work with a customer (and that goes for any contractor out there, really), for whatever reason, let the customer know (and that goes for any contractor out there, really). It is basic customer service. After all, you never know who the customer knows and how they will mention your name whenever their friends or family need any service. It would've been ok to let me know the job was too small or that you were too busy. When you deal with someone yourself, you want them to answer, too. And I'm not even asking for
Anyway, I eventually did find another contractor, who not only did a tub-to-shower conversion but also replaced the vanities. The bathroom is entirely new again. Sadly, not thanks to La Rue Plumbing. :(

I was looking for an emergency plumber to come over late afternoon on a weekday. I called Full Service as they were located in Kaneohe and they sent out a plumber immediately to fix my issue. Fast, efficient and professional - I will 100% use this company again and will recommend them to everyone too.

A homeowner may be where I was. I hope, when they read this review, my experience and suggestions will prove useful.
I moved here from the mainland. Over 15+ years, I'd managed to avoid any major condo expenses. Then my electric water heater died, January, 2022. That put me in a vulnerable position, started a to-do list.
For each item the goals will be the same: I want the most bang for the buck, using quality parts, and getting quality service. Copied information from the old unit and shopped around for price, warranties were comparable. Ordered a replacement online. The local store was out of short length electric units. It became a supply chain issue, new unit shipped from Tennessee, many weeks later.
I didn't know anybody to remove the old unit and install a new one. Got price quotes from multiple sources. It was clear the service would cost more than the new unit. Some quotes indicated the providers were in business to help customers. Very high quotes reflected that these providers were in business to take advantage of vulnerable customers.
Asked around, referred to United Drain Techs. Josiah was the plumber, accompanied by an eager to learn, helpful apprentice. Josiah is experienced and efficient, he knows his stuff, and does fine work.
He drained the old water heater, capped off the connections so there would be no leaks, and properly disposed of it. He picked up the replacement unit on installation day. After 2 months of waiting, I had a reliable unit.
Josiah showed me what I needed to do for maintenance. The cost of services and parts wasn't cheap. The job was bigger than I thought and cost more than I hoped, but in the end you get what you pay for. Overall I did the best I could by calling United Drain Techs.

My husband and I decided to remodel our kitchen during this pandemic to keep ourselves busy and to update our 17 year old kitchen. I contacted Rudy and he and his team did a fantastic job! Rudy replaced all my countertops to Quartz countertops, installed a new sink and faucet and also installed my new range and microwave (where he routed the air vent outside to the patio). The new island countertop is a foot longer and also extends 6 inches wider so he had to custom build a support base which added more support to hold up the new HEAVY island top! These photos show the before and after look. As you can see, Rudy and his team did an AWESOME JOB!! We plan to do other home rennovation projects in the near future and will definitely call 'Rudy and Design back again! Rudy is so knowledgable and has over 30 years of experience! He not only can do plumbing work but is also a very skilled carpenter as well! He does excellent work and is very thorough. We are extremely happy with what he has done for us! Highly recommend!!!

My water heater gave out in middle of night. Richard not only came the next day but met me at hardware store in town to pick up the new water heater (I don't have a truck). He was professional, timely and did quality work for a good price. I highly recommend him.

Roto Rooter was one of five plumbing companies I called. They were the one who were able to respond the quickest to my plumbing emergency (broken sewer line). They observed proper COVID protocols and explained everything they were doing. My household was back up and running in no time. They did a good cleanup job and were friendly and professional. They were able to beat their competitors' pricing. Appreciate Frank, Noah, Nick, Johnny, and one other gentleman whose name I forgot to write down. Will definitely use them again!

Does this company ever pick up their phone? Called them multiple times yet never once have picked up their phone. I seen them come to my complex multiple times. Wonder how people ever get any type of communication with them.

Alright, so the HVAC/air conditioner in my unit had to be replaced according to this company. This company takes our old unit to get rid of for free and replaces it with their own makeshift unit. The unit they installed worked for two years and then stopped working. Turns out they IMPROPERLY installed this with a mix of stainless steel, copper, and brass pipes, which caused a LOT of corrosion and we now have to get the entire thing replaced AGAIN.
Tried everything to contact this company to help us fix this, but suddenly find out they don't do HVAC services or any air conditioning things anymore. Now they only do things like plumbing, don't call us for things like AC or HVAC. These people are literally listed as people you're supposed to call at the newer apartment buildings. Strangely, they're still listed as people to call to get your AC fixed by our building. Hmm.
What a joke. No apologies, no trying to help us fix it or a referral to someone actually qualified to fix it, no refund for a job they completely botched.
Don't use this company ever, they don't know what they're doing. They'll pretend they do, take all your money, then once you realize you've been had and they're unable to fix the problem that they themselves created they'll say they don't offer that service anymore.
I normally don't leave bad reviews, but this is terrible customer service and these people took our money and HVAC unit and then ghosted us. We're getting quotes for a new HVAC, and the average quote is $14,000. Yes, FOURTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS.
