Price Plumbing

I had originally contacted Price Plumbing for work on a Sunday morning at 10AM, but just 10 minutes before they were set to arrive they said they would be late. Then an hour later I get asked if they can come at 1PM, ok no problem I can work with that. Come 1:45 they say the guys can't make it and the owner is sick and can maybe come at night. Look, I get it, good labor is hard to find but I had a tight window of time that I can be making repairs while my tenants are trying to enjoy their Sunday and it was not a great experience. Ultimately I went with another plumber who had coincidentally contacted me that same morning after not hearing from him for a couple of days. He did the work the next day.

Keeping it at 3/5 stars because communication was quick and responsive, and the quote was good compared to the bigger plumbers. It was about the same as the guy who eventually ended up doing the work. I'm sure they do great work but maybe need to work on reliability.

They came out the same day I called and fixed both problems.  Excellent work, reasonably priced and great customer service. Richard is a really nice honest guy! We will definitely call them in the future...highly recommend.

Awesome response time with a quote.  Showed up when they said they would and unclogged a tub drain and replaced a shower valve.  I would definitely call them for my plumbing needs again.

My family and I were in desperate need to get our water heater changed. Over 2 weeks of cold showers, and ridiculous quotes from Home Depot & Lowe's, I was so glad I ran into Price Plumbing on Yelp!

Richard (the owner) answered my call and I told him straight up about my water heater problem. I told him him I don't know where to start and I've never done this before.

He was very nice to explain the process of going down to Lowe's or Home Depot to purchase one of my choice and make sure to write down the name of the person if someone else is picking it up on day of install. Sure! I can do that.

I must of spoken to Richard some time during the work week and he was able to fit me in Friday 8/16 0800.. Friday came and my appoint had to be rescheduled. I was pretty bummed but that just meant another cold shower night. It's okay, what's one more night?

Richard apologized, and rescheduled for the following morning at 0800  Due to the cray traffic today (Football and Made in Aloha Festival) already I knew how horrendous traffic was... so I just waited.

During the whole  waiting period, Richard texted me of the status of where his guys are and headed to Home Depot,..Alas! They arrived. 2 of  Richard's guys showed up..2 young fellows that sure knew what they had to do. I really appreciate the updates via text!

They were very efficient, fast, their clean job was a  if Plus!, courteous and friendly! I'm sorry I didn't get the name of the 2 guys. All in all, Price Plumbing is 5++++.  I will definitely recommend Richard & his men to friends and family if ever they need a plumber.

Richard and his team are awesome! They don't beat around the bush and they make sure that we were involved with every decision.  Richard came  out and gave us a quote and although he knew we were getting quotes else where before making our decision,  he didn't push us.  The job they did was nothing less then professional, clean and it was done in a timely manner.  He is very reasonable, reliable and he was able to accommodate our families busy schedule.  I would recommend Price plumbing in a heartbeat! Its quality plumbing, at a reasonable cost and you can count on Richard and his team to advise you on he best solution for all your plumbing needs !!!!

My water heater died on me and I had a few other plumbing issues in my bathroom, Price Plumbing was very responsive, and even discounted my price a little when they were able to find a water heater for cheaper than initially expected.  Great communication and very knowledgeable

Price Plumbing restored my hot water the same day that I called. They got back to me within minutes and provided me with a fair dollar amount for service. The communication process through Yelp was seem less and my needs were addressed fairly quick. The technician took additional time to raise our tank off the floor to prevent rust. That was awesome! Honest business and I would highly recommend for all your plumbing needs.

One thing I disliked was having to use PayPal for payment because I used a credit card. Since I have a PayPal it was simple enough. They don't have credit card squares to charge on the spot, so be prepared.

First time ever to utilize Price Plumbing's services. I was fortunate enough to be able to get same day service upon getting in contact with Richard. My wife said Richard was really nice and fixed our leaking faucet really fast. If we are ever in need of plumbing services, Price Plumbing will be my go to guys.

Richard came on time, great communication, he tried to unclog my outside drain but it was totally sealed and he explained to me why.... and DIDN'T EVEN CHARGE me for his time! I'm definitely hiring him for my next plumbing need because to me that speaks loudly of his integrity and honesty. Also he was pleasant to work with. So he gets my 5 stars no doubt.

They were very professional and answered my request on yelp very quickly.  They were able to give me a quote over yelp without having to come to my house.  I felt it was reasonable.  I contacted another company just for comparison, who sent someone to my house.  They were unable to give me a quote over yelp.  I of course had to pay a fee for the estimate.  The total cost to complete the job was outrageously overpriced.  So I decided to go with this company. They were not able to make it as scheduled because of an emergency but did reach out to me to let me know.  The owner was able to have someone else come to my house a little later.  They did a good job and I am very happy with the service I received.  If I ever need someone to take care of my future plumbing needs I would use this company again.  I would definitely recommend them my family and friends without hesitation.

Price Plumbing was very responsive and were able to come service my house when I needed them. They came to check on a water line for my fridge because I wasn't sure what we did ourselves was correct and we had water leaking in the past. Turned out I had fixed the problem. They offered to come back if it starts leaking again when they install our fridge.

Richard from Price Plumbing is amazing. He and his crew have done a few jobs for me now. One was a Sunday emergency when the main line to the house broke from a gardening accident and the others were just normal jobs around the house like sink repair and snaking. Great communication and service make Price Plumbing my go to crew anytime I have a plumbing issue.

I posted in YELP I need a plumber to help me install a 5 stage water filter under the kitchen sink and in 30 minutes I had 4 replies from 4 different plumbers. Price Plumbing was the one who communicated with me right away with a quote. They came on Thursday and did a very good job and charged me what they quoted me and even gave me a discount. I could not have done it myself. Let the professionals do it! Thank you for a job well done!

We were so grateful for owner, Richard to accept my call for service immediately & arrived at our restaurant in 30 minutes. The other plumber companies don't commit to a time, they tell you they'll be there within a window of 3 hours! Richard was hard working & did not give up on locating the leak which turned out to be outside of our restaurant. He cleared our clog & will be working with the building owner to assist with the outside pipes. It's a good feeling to work with small business owners who go above & beyond for their clients.

Multiple no shows with no communication. Set up a RODI but did not hook up the waste water into the drain. Unreliable response and is not punctual. Paid for the RODI hook up and never came back to finish hook up.

Hit up Richard yesterday about replacing my water heater. He was able to schedule for the next day. Great workmanship, provided all needed replacement valves/hoses, and cleaned up nicely behind himself. Ill be hitting him up again for future plumbing jobs.

Of course on late Friday before the New Year's weekend, our water heater broke. I searched on Yelp and sent a request at 10:30 at night. To my surprise, Richard responded and asked some questions about the water heater: how old is it (over 20 years old), how many gallons (80). Mind you the business hours say that he's open until 10PM, but he responded after hours. He recommended that we replace it (a friend of ours told us the same thing a couple of years ago, so we knew we would have to replace it). I sent Richard pictures the next morning and asked if he wanted to stop by and look at it first. He said he would and on New Year's eve around 2:30PM, he stopped by. Gave me a flat rate quote for the job (new heater, pipes, haul away of the old heater, and labor). We arranged to have it changed out on Monday, Jan 2nd cause I really didn't want them working on New Year's Day!  He texted to ask if we could move the changeout to Tuesday so he could bring another plumber with him. It was fine with me. They came this morning and it took a lot of work to get our old heater out because there was a lot of rust (20+ years old, remember?). Good thing we waited a day so that 2 of them could do the job. Much quicker to install the new heater!  So excited to have hot water again after 3 days!!  Thank you Richard & team!!

Looking for a plumber can be hard, but look no further Price Plumbing is a family owned company that prides themselves on being Honest, Punctual, Reliable, Providing Quality & Professional work and services.  We have hired Ricky a few times to hook up a sink and also run lines for an air compressor system for our barbershop. Fantastic speedy service from Scott.  My toilet developed a slow infuriating leak in the valve which slowly drained the water from the tank.  So it kept filling itself up every 20 minutes or so - interrupting my sleep all night long.  I found Price Plumbing on Yelp and he came right out and fixed it with brand new parts.  Yay Scott.  Yay Yelp.

We used these guys today to help us fix a damage underground pipe. I was super impressed with their fast turnaround time and professional service! Would definitely use these guys again!

I had a plumbing issue late at night and contacted several plumbers. Richard was quick to call me back and was very helpful over the phone. I sent photos of the problem and he advised us that he would not be able to replace the worn out parts (2 water heater valves and a main water supply valve) until the morning as he did not have the parts in hand.

Richard arrived promptly in the morning, replaced all of the valves and the estimate that he provided over the phone matched the actual costs.

I can't say enough positive things about Price Plumbing. My kitchen sink had a clog over the weekend scheduling an appointment within 48 hours was a breeze. Once Price Plumbing started the work it turned out the issue was much simpler than expected and Price Plumbing cleared it within 2 minutes (saving us some serious $$$) and they had a good sense of humor about our lack of plumbing skills. I highly recommend Price Plumbing they are earnest in their work and very generous with their time. The final price was adjusted for the effort required and I could not be more grateful for this. Called Price Plumbing yesterday and got a voicemail...3 minutes later I got a call back and scheduled an appointment for this morning. Richard (the owner) showed up this morning and was able to unclog the drain however due to some rusted piping under the house (possible problem) we were unable to complete the fix.  Something we will have the owner fix. Richard was kind enough to offer to come back in the event it clogs again until we get the piping fixed so our kids dont have to shower in a pool of water.

I will recommend Price Plumbing to my family and friends when they need a plumber and can verify for you that we had a great experience working with him!  Mahalo bro!

My water heater leaked on Labor Day 3-day weekend. Found plumbing companies thru yelp and sent inquiries. Fastest to respond was Malia from Price Plumbing. She was very helpful and patient answering all my questions over the weekend. She explained things for me and help me understand my options. She also provided a quick range of estimated cost. Richard was also very responsive on Tuesday (day of repair). Justin (the guy who did the repair) was also very nice. The repair took about 3 hours including procurement of the materials (heater and parts).

Price Plumbing, awesome service . Quick response to our kitchen sink being clogged for a few days . I tried but couldn't get it done . That's why there's A Pro like Richard who came by and assisted . Much mahalos

First time we do business with them and first impressions: by far the best you can get in Oahu. It is obvious that Richard has high professional standards. He responded right away, quoted a fair price, and completed the installation (tankless water heater) in a short time. We will definitely do business with him again if the need arises.

My water heater gave out in middle of night. Richard not only came the next day  but met me at hardware store in town to pick up the new water heater (I don't have a truck). He was professional, timely and did quality work for a good price. I highly recommend him.

TLDR; I'd avoid using their service due to bad reliability issues.

Ricky has done a couple of jobs for me and the work he did had been good. However the last job he failed to complete yet asked to be paid in whole which I obliged as I figured he'd honor his word. He said he would come back and finish it. On two separate occasions I scheduled a time with him and he told me he'd come by yet didn't show the whole day despite communicating he would be arriving soon throughout the day. It's now been over a month. I've wasted two whole days waiting for him and I've given up working with him at this point. It's not worth my time or frustration waiting further. Disappointed as the work he did was decent but his reliability has been absolutely terrible and now I will have to schedule a different plumber and pay them again to do work I've already paid some one to do. Until he figures out this kind of reliability issues will ruin his business I'd stay away.

** Malia, regarding your comment, unfortunately you're wrong. Please look again at the image with the job requirements Ricky was sent. Highlighted in blue explicitly is the job replace laundry faucet. It was included in the job.There were no favors as you claim. I'm sorry my review is upsetting for you but I was left incredibly frustrated. After two days of waiting and losing out on spending time with my family I was no longer willing to cancel lunch plans to wait for Ricky who wouldn't show and I explicitly asked you guys for a specific time that you would come by to finish the job and keep that time. I never got a response. This was what compelled me to finally write this review and close this issue. As for the invoice, it was dated 11/4/2019 with an invoice due date of 12/04/2019, I paid the invoice over the phone when Ricky asked if I would on 11/12/2019.

I found Price Plumbing by requesting quotes through yelp from several vendors. I decided on Price Plumbing because they offered one of the most competitive pric and were quick to respond! They also were very understanding and responsive when I had to reschedule my original appointment. His worker came on time and he was able to replace my faucet without any issues! Next time I need help with any plumbing I know who to call!

After attempting to fix a dripping tub faucet and not succeeding, I decided to seek a professional plumber to complete the task.  I decided on Price Plumbing to do the job.  Richard was on time, courteous, and knew exactly what to do.  Come to find out the timing of the repair was perfect since the faucet cartridge was about to fail and could have caused major damage to the Unit below.  The cost to repair was as quoted and reasonable.  Will definitely use Price Plumbing for my future plumbing repairs and recommend them to neighbors and friends.

Our showers were not draining. We called 2 other plumbing companies who both came out without necessary equipment and who both said they didn't know what the problem was after a few hours. We called Price plumbing, who came out quickly, with all equipment needed, to assess and start work immediately. They were timely, with great communication. They were respectful and kept the work area clean. When the drain was repaired, they replaced the toilet they had to move and retiled the area. From start to finish, they were professional.

Called with only a day or two in advance and asked for a quote for multiple things. They asked for pictures via text to give an accurate quote. It took no more than a couple minutes and I had a fair quote. I had to cancel with less than a full day notice because some of the appliances I ordered were not delivered on time. They re scheduled with no issues and they did awesome work, fast too!

Applaud these two fro running in and out of peoples homes during this troubling time. They were clean and professional.

Ive used Price plumbing multiple times Richard the owner has changed my toilet and all my faucets in my house he has even unclogged my bathtub drain.  He usually comes within 2 hours of when i call him depending how his schedule is for the day very affordable and always gets the job done even if he has to go to the store to pick up a part i recomend PRICE PLUMBING to anyone looking for quality work at a affordable PRICE.  The part that seals the deal is he always says if anything goes wrong give him a call and he will come back and do his best to fix it!!!!

Replaced both stop valves and draIn under vanity. Richard showed up on time (within an acceptable window). Paid the quoted price. He did a great job and left the job cleaner than when he started.  Would recommend.

my toilet was leaking and I had another plumber fix it. one year later it leaked again.  I called Richard of Price Plumbing and he fixed it. Apparently, the previous plumber didn't do the job right.  my shower knobs were frozen for years.  I asked it he could fix it and he did!  I would recommend Richard in a heartbeat! His price is so reasonable.  I will use him from now on.

I called many plumbers about my electric on demand water heater needing replacement and service valves installed as the old one was not installed correctly. I had THREE plumbers come and stare--and do nothing. All after telling me they were familiar with electric on demand heaters. These guys (Price) were reasonable by the hour as well as all FIVE star reviews so I thought they'd be great. Though nice, the person sent told me he was not actually the company I called--that he had his own company and was helping out...? Huh??? He had not a clue what to do. I spoke with the person in charge and he knew what I needed but this guy did not, so Huh? I emailed...they said they'd look into it. I ordered the valves myself as they didn't seem to know...I sent info. No reply. I called, No reply. Nuff said.
Strike THREE. I'd give one star but at least someone showed up, and when he didn't know what to do did not charge me. Sorry!

Terrible follow-up from Richard, the owner of Price Plumbing.  Said he would make things right, but never showed up on date/time that he set.  

Also, I made the mistake of paying in cash.  When I asked for the receipt, Richard said he would send me the paid invoice.  After a month and three requests for the paid invoice, still not emailed as promised.

Highly recommended!  Richard is very efficient and a man of integrity! Price Plumbing puts customers as a high priority and is affordable!

He installed a tankless hot water heater for me and disposed of the old hot water tank. He also installed a pressure regulator valve. All at a reasonable cost and not to long after calling him.

Out of 5 businesses I Yelp messaged for a quote, Price Plumbing responded in a very timely manner to provide an estimate. Richard requested some pictures which I was able to text to him on my phone. His availability was perfect to work out with my work schedule. Rates he quoted me, I had to do a double take, I needed confirmation to what was just provided (as I honestly thought huh? that can't be). What stood out for me & is what I look for in a business ... punctuality, communication, affordability, & getting the work done. Richard was running late but contacted me right at the time he was supposed to be at my home. Got here & got right to work. He began with trying to snake the laundry basin with some difficulty. Richard then diverted to changing out the kitchen sink drain & the laundry faucet. Unfortunately due to a difficult time unclogging he was unable to complete the job with the laundry clog. He informed he'll come back later that afternoon as he had another job on the Windward side, I live in Central. Few hours went by and Richard contacted me to inform he was still doing the other job and asked if he could come tomorrow. He politely asked what time I wanted him to come and I told Richard, You give me a time. 7:00? PERFECT, hoping job would be successful and then I could go to work right after. Next day, Richard, as always, was punctual & pulled up at 6:45am with another worker. Richard and his co-worker did what needed to be done to complete the job unclogging our drain. I was so so happy they were able to utilize the snake, if not, they would have had to use the hydro jet (which would have added to the cost of repairs significantly). Richard honored his quoted estimate price & added that although they used the bigger snake (not same one as the first time) he was not going to charge me for that (thank you Richard!). I am satisfied with Price Plumbing's work & will add this business to my contacts for future reference if needed. Richard (and his co-worker) were professional & I greatly appreciated their business. My tenants reported a toilet clog, and all the companies I called were already booked for the day. Richard (the owner) made an effort to squeeze me in after a long day of all his other jobs, which I greatly appreciated.

I was in need to finally fix a problem hot water leak under my kitchen sink.  I could tell this problem has been there for a while bc I saw a hole on the cabinet floor board under the leak.  The previous tenants of our home must of ignored the leak for a long time.

I found Price Plumbing in Yelp by asking for a quote through Yelp with a few plumbers listed on Yelp.  Price Plumbing was the first to respond that same day!

They are open 7 days a week which was a plus bc my original plumber does not work on weekends.  I was able to make an appointment on Sunday which is one of my days off.

On Sunday Charles came to my house and fixed my leak under the kitchen sink.  It took several attempts but no the leak is gone!  He even worked on 2 frozen shut off valves in my bathroom under my bathroom and replaced it with 2 brand new shut off valves.

Later that evening, I noticed that my cold water shut off valve was leaking so I called Charles ASAP.  He was apologetic and came the next day to fix it for free.  Thank you Charles!

Price plumbing saved my leaks and I will use them again.  Charles said they do remodeling too so if I am in need of a remodeling I will call them.

We needed someone to snake the toilet and after calling several other plumbers who were not available, Price Plumbing called us back and fit us into their schedule.

I needed a slow leak repaired due to the 25 year old gasket was worn.  I decided to change all the bathtub fixtures, since it was white and getting corroded. I sent out feelers for the repair, and Price plumbing was one of the first to reply with and approximate quote.  Other replies were cheaper and unreasonable.  I made an appointment with Price plumbing and they arrived and promptly changed out my fixtures within an hour.  They charged me the price they quoted and I'm totally satisfied.
