I am so happy to have a new plumber. Brad came through right on time and walked through every in house plumbing question I had. He addressed each concern with honesty and a professional disposition. His work was very well done and his rate is fair, he charges by the hour, not by the job, and he doesn't waste time. My wife spotted one of those dreaded Sunday water leaks at the side of our house two days ago. My usual plumbers, who are good, were not open on Sunday but we had quite a geyser coming out our  water softener pipe. I researched on Yelp and came across Plumbsmart. From the company's answering service to Cody, the owner of the company to Joe the service tech., the service was outstanding and the leak was fixed within two hours from my initial call. I was impressed with the work, the people I spoke to or met. I now see why their reviews are so highly rated.  I have a feeling the leak started several days ago and eventually split the pipe and became Old Faithful because the water pressure inside the house has increased remarkably.

On a Wednesday evening when the temperature was in the 20's our water heater stopped working. We called a number of the big name plumbers. One came out the next morning and gave us a quote. As you can imagine we were tempted to accept it even though we thought it high. Taking a cold shower makes one desperate. But we looked on Yelp under Ten Best Plumbers and called BG Plumbers. The owner, came to the house 30 minutes after the call. He gave us a quote that was $600 less than the other firm. He did the job in an hour. We are extremely pleased.

Called and set an appointment.  Receptionist failed to tell me there was a $180 diagnostic fee.  Plumber said maybe he could help me out.  Didn't want to pay $180 and then have him tell me he couldn't do anything.

David was great! Fixed my issue and gave me a thorough education on water softeners. Very honest and knowledgeable. I highly recommend.

Let me tell you why Ryan H. and A&A Plumbing will be our sole providers of any service needed:

Came home from vacation to see a leak coming through our laundry room ceiling as well as our water softener stuck in service constantly draining.  My initial reaction was to run around like Macaulay Culkin in Home Alone.  Called A&A and they sent Ryan out.

First, customer service is top notch. Not only do they stick to their times, they text you with a picture of your technician along with a link to track them.  

Next, Ryan showed up with Joe to check everything out. Everything they do is quoted and shown via their iPad. All pricing and services. Well bad news is my Master Bathroom flange was broken causing the leak. Good news is Ryan saved the day and explained what happened and what needed to happen. The water softener was a Kenmore UltraSoft 275 and beyond repair. Ryan showed me options and was not pushy.  He said I could go to Home Depot and grab a softener off the shelf and install it, or have them put a system in. Explained the pros and cons of each without being biased. He really puts the ball in your court while making professional recommendations.

Ryan and Joe left with the intention of coming back for the toilet flange fix later in the week.  I called A&A back and said I'd like to do the water softener as well. Not a problem, we'll take care of it was the response from dispatch. I cannot emphasize how customer service oriented this company is.  Thank you, please, may I, etc. They are just complete professionals.

Now, we weren't planning on replacing the water softener at the same time, but they really do have great pricing.  That on top of having a real system in place versus a throwaway softener in place made the decision easier.  

Two days later Ryan and Joe show up right away per our appointment.  Joe immediately started work on my toilet flange while Ryan replaced the softener.  My old softener was put in as if I (minimal to zero experience) installed it. Ryan reworked the valves and pipes and it now looks like it's part of the house instead of some haphazard addition.  Joe knocked out the new flange and everything was cleaned up.  Ryan debriefed me on everything and what was next. Explained and pointed out potential issues that may arise that they saw when working. Not plumbing issues, but when I redo to master bathroom, I'd need to replace the subfloor due to water damage, etc.  Ryan immediately set up an appointment to come out in two weeks to make any adjustments to the softener if needed.  Awesome!  I have other things that need to be done and am excited to have someone that can take care of it quickly, professionally, and at a great price.

My experience echoes many of the reviews and I stand by this being a 5 Star company.  It is so often we feel we get 'taken' when plumbing problems arise. A&A Plumbing is what companies should strive to be like. They keep you informed without feeling dumb. Everything is competitively priced and their #1 goal is your satisfaction.  Although I do not want any emergencies or issues to come up, but if they do, I know who's number is saved in my contacts.

I woke up to both of my bathrooms flooded and Santana plumbing company squeezed me in and within an hour found and fixed the problem. Prices arent bad, he finished in a timely manner,  and he even gave me info to help in the future. I'm so glad that I called them and they're local. They were great.

Chris and his team were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and timely. They did excellent work and helped get me out of more than a few construction/plumbing fiascos! I'd highly recommend them, best company in Austin for sure!

I want to log in and write this review now, because Gilbert is the real deal. All the great things everyone else has said is true! He was friendly and responsive from the very beginning when I emailed, patiently answered all of my questions, worked with me to find a day/time that worked with my crazy schedule, told me what I could buy and have ready to reduce costs prior to his visit, called when he was on his way, showed up exactly when he said he would and he did an AMAZING job!!!!! His nearly perfect star status on Yelp is greatly deserved and I am almost hesitant to tell you just how happy I am because I'm afraid he will become so popular that I'll never be able to get an appointment with him again. :-)  I hope to have him as my plumber from here on out and yes, that fridge magnet several people have mentioned is now on the side of my fridge! (Thank you again Gilbert!!!)

Fantastic customer service. Honest and transparent, Noel explained the entire reason as to why our AC system wasn't functioning properly.  We so appreciated the honesty and lack of pushy ness and fabrications. We'll be calling again... thank you..!

I'd recommend these guys for any job. Andrew was extremely polite & easy to work with. He gave us options to fix our leak, which worked the first time, & he was very reasonable. Great service. I'd use again!!

I called Guarantee late on a Friday to help diagnose a low water pressure issue. They had someone out first thing Monday morning.

When they knocked on the door, the technicians were wearing masks and made sure it was ok for them to enter. While one checked the pressure outside, another allowed me to show them what was happening inside.

The technician told me the pressure was low and there were a few things it could be. He walked me over to the water line boxes near the curb and showed me the water pressure regulator valve. He explained that it could be that it just needed to be adjusted. He talked me through everything he was doing while he did it. Meanwhile, as he made adjustments, the other tech was taking reading at the hose bib.

After he righted the pressure to 70 PSI, he said he wouldn't charge me the full amount and only charged $45!

They were gone and my problem was fixed in 20 minutes! I felt like they were very transparent about what needed to be done.

These fine individuals came to my house at 8pm. I called er 6:30. They were amazing and affordable. Kind and to the point. They repaired my issue. God bless them. Honest hardworking. I highly recommend! Thanks Virgil Ana friend !

I would give negative stars if I could. After the snow here, I had the company come out to repair a pipe. I had to wait 2 days for them to come which would have been okay except he charged extra for emergency service which I'd understand if it was same day but it wasn't. Also, I was charged an ASTRONOMICAL amount of $400 for less than an hour of work and since have spoken to several plumbers who say I was basically robbed and taken advantage of because I was a single woman. I have tried to contact company with no response and have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and seeking legal advice. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!

UPDATE 5/21- Response from business owner saying that I received an estimate before service was provided is completely false, never happened. Also never told of the additional travel charge (Helotes is all of 8 minutes from my house). A family member was there to witness the event and even gave the suggestion on how to fix the issue which was just cut a piece of the sheet rock out and cut the pipe above the leak and just cap it off, a job that took less than an hour. Also was told when I called that only same day service was considered emergency, so not sure why an appointment 2 days later would require the up charge. And to imply that the price is MY FAULT  because I couldn't find another plumber(which isn't the case, I went with this company because they are so close to my house) is a completely arrogant and asinine statement. Finally, they left the work area a complete mess. No manipulation tactics from the owner response on how they took care of customers instead of family will change this review. Don't be open for business if you are going to use that excuse to rob customers.

I called to have a water heater replaced in my home.   They were able to give me an appointment in 3-4 days.  The workers arrived on time, masked, introduced themselves and began taking a history.  The lead technician, Christopher was polite, informative and was able to give me an estimate within 15-20 minutes.   Our old water heater is easily accessible in the garage.  I already purchased a new heater and had it there in the garage as well.  Christopher stated there were several options on installation/ service plans etc.  I asked him for the least costly and he quoted me $2,400 as the cost-cutter (his words) option.  $2,400 to install a $400 appliance I had already bought on my own.  He stated he have to mount the expansion tank (already installed) a new circuit breaker box (heater already own its own breaker).   Understand the $2,400 did not even include the appliance itself.  I told him this seemed excessive, all I wanted was the heater replaced.  He asked me how much I expected to pay and told him $900-$1000.  Once I told him that, he asked how I would be paying for the $29 estimate fee.  I thanked him, paid him, he left quickly with barely a word spoken there after.  After about an hour of searching, I found the phone number of a local self-employed licensed plumber I had used about 3 years ago.  He remembered me and my wife and agreed to come over that day.  He arrived about 3 hours later, installed the water heater in about 3 hours.  He charged me $280.  We were so grateful we gave him a 20% tip, paying him $350.  I won't ever be calling these guys again, and I'll let any one I know with plumbing issues, my experience with them.

During the snow storm of 2021 a water pipe busted in my home. I called Roto-Rooter on a Monday and pleasantly found they were scheduling me for the next day.  Winter conditions continued and no show.  I called them at the end of the day and was told all scheduled appointments were moved to next day.  Next day no show, no call.  It's Friday and still no show, but what disturbs me most is no notice this whole time.  I only heard from them once and that's bc I called them.  Luckily my neighbor called A.L. Plumbing and after talking to their plumber he squeezed me in right there on the spot and fixed my problem.  A.L. Plumbing, 210-269-6346.  

I can't speak to R-Rs quality of service, but I can speak to their disregard for customer notification, time, and general courtesy.
