Wonderful service. Called Andre on recommendation from a friend & great online reviews on Yelp. As a first time customer, wasn't expecting same day service to replace old leaking water heater. Matthew did a great job & all was accomplished by the evening of that day. One of the best responses we have ever had & will definitely use them again.

Plumbit was responsive and reliable when I needed service for a toilet clog and kitchen sink leak ASAP. They provided a 3-hour arrival timeframe and a text when they were en route. They resolved both issues and were very respectful of the home.

They offer FREE ONSITE ESTIMATES and gave me a quote via Yelp's Request for Quotes before they came out. This local business also has the heart to support our military and first responders with a discount.

We were caught with a significant week-before-Christmas emergency slab leak. I called at least 7 different companies. Most, it seemed, didn't want to deal with the frustration of a large job or felt ill-equipped to cope. It was a three-day job which they performed with a high level of excellence. They were kind, informative and the price charged was more than fair. They are 100% my new plumbing guys.

Garbage company.  Incredibly unprofessional on the phone and disrespectful.  I guess you are what you clean.

ETA: I have edited the review to add a photo that shows the written estimate that Cody sent me after we got off the phone. Before accusing a customer of lying, one would be smart to check their records and make sure they don't have proof to back up their claims. As noted, my initial interactions with this company left me feeling they were less than honest with their lack of transparent pricing. However, the harassment by Cody and Adam after leaving a 3-star review initially are what earned them a 1-star review. The reply to this one-star review below tells you all you need to know about Cody's character. In looking at other low reviews (to which PlumbSmart replied to every single one, blaming the customer), I now see that others have mentioned their high-pressure sales tactics. BUYER BEWARE!

P.S. Apparently this company works really hard to get Google to remove any review that is not 5-star, even when the review states facts and has receipts to prove it. I now realize PlumbSmart's 5-star rating on Google is not authentic. As Cody mentioned, Yelp does not allow businesses to bully or buy their way out of low reviews. Thank goodness!

Original Review: I reached out to this company for a quote for a water softener installation for our new home. The price I was quoted was $3,000 for the cheapest water softener they sell, plus an extra $2,000 for a carbon filter. That's high compared to other quotes, but no big deal. Companies can make up whatever price they wish.

The kicker for me was that I couldn't get a straight answer on the price to install a plumbing loop. I was told it would be between $800-$1500, but they would need to come out to the house to give me a price. Okay, that's fine. However, I was then told I was going to be charged $79 for a tech to come out to the house to tell me the price for the install. They advertise here on Yelp, Free Estimates, but apparently that is false advertising (see photo).

The final thing that didn't sit well is that they wanted me to commit to having the work done on the day that they came out to give the quote. I don't make a decision on a purchase that is over $6,000 on the spot. That is a very high pressure sales tactic. Ultimately, this made me choose another company.

That alone led to a 3-star Google review. However, after leaving that review, the two owners of the company, Cody and Adam, harassed me so much that I lowered my review to 1-star. What did that harassment look like? They collectively called and texted me TWELVE times in the span of one hour, calling from different numbers when I didn't answer the first number. They likely would have continued, but I blocked their numbers.

Clearly, they have some other good reviews, so I sincerely hope they were (both?) having an off day when they blew up my phone on Monday. However, based on the fact that they worked so hard to get me to take down my honest (3-star) review recounting my experience with their company, I question the legitimacy of their 5-star rating here. While I did not end up hiring them, my experience with them absolutely reflects their professionalism--or lack thereof. I had some work done & estimates given for more work.

This review is difficult & complicated to write--so I have simplified a complex situation.

While the work done was correct--it was also about twice as expensive as the same work by another plumber I called in afterwards. The work done was also the type of repair I have done myself in the past so this was sort of a test. I was actually disappointed because I believed it to be a simple adjustment rather than replacing a part that I know how to do anyway.

Also, every plumber before & after my encounter with BG has always recommended a certain brand of a popular fixture. BG told me he doesn't think this brand is any good & instead of working on them--wanted to replace them with another product. Needless to say, I got frustrated on this matter & was turned off. Guess what? I saved about $300 by having the next plumber do it!

As far as the estimates for the additional work I was considering--it was also at least twice as expensive & made out to be more complicated than what I actually paid for to have another plumbing company perform. By using another plumber--I saved about $1000 over what BG told me the way he recommended on doing the work--to satisfy himself! It's advisable to get other opinions folks!

No doubt BG does excellent & elegantly designed work--but its pricey and didn't offer me lower cost, but still effective alternative solutions, to solve the issues at my home. Maybe he didn't wanted me to use him again so deliberately was charging me too much. If you do your research here on Yelp, you will find competent plumbers who do good work & at lower rates.

Really poor service, they would agree on the phone to perform service and then rudely decline through mail. Not to be trusted.

Our Alamo Water System has been in for about one year (RO & Whole House). We had Caleb out today for our first RO filter change and a main softener check.  He is super knowledgeable about the systems. I mentioned offhand that I had a few hard water marks appear on some black pants, and he knew the adjustment to fix that for us right away.  He also spent time with the hubs explaining the recharge cycle to us again too.

Shout out to Caleb! He's super friendly and knows literally everything about how the Alamo Softeners work. We really appreciated his excellent customer service during our appointment today.

We have had good experiences with Alamo, from installing and servicing our water softeners and filters. If you are on the fence about getting one, it's a top improvement for our house. In Lakeway/Austin we have really high chlorine levels in the muni water and high ammonia from time to time too. Our family loves the clean drinking and cooking water from the reverse osmosis filter faucet and the lack of hard water stains in the sinks and fixtures. (Also, no more chlorine smell)

Just moved into home and was having water pressure issues.  Called A&A plumbing due to proximity and reviews on yelp. I was thinking the worst in that my water pressure regulator had gone bad.  However it was actually am issue with the main water line.  Service was great Adamson was great. Didn't feel like i was being taken advantage of. In short i plan on being a customer for the foreseeable future

Came across a small water leak on the main line coming into the house...I was happy to see that Jamie lives in my neighborhood, I mean...how much more local can you get...He showed up in about 30 minutes, gave me what I thought was a very fair quote and got to work...job was wrapped up in about 4-5 hours and was please with the whole process...Looks like we have a new Plumber that I wouldnt hesitate to call for my needs.

These folks are amazing - I called them when another plumber recommended them for my particular situation and not only did they answer right off the bat they came within an hour or so - it was awesome! They fixed the issue, explained what was going on, and were as personable, on time and professional as all get out. Heavily recommended!

I called with a minor-ish problem with my...faucet thingies that connect to the washing machine.  Gilbert walked me through how to check for what was leaking and asked if I felt like I could change the supply lines because he'd hate to charge me for a very simple fix.  I am actually capable of changing the supply lines (I guess I just freaked out when I saw the leak).  Two thumbs up for a guy who would tell you how to fix a simple problem and NOT charge.  If anything else plumbing related in my house needs help, I'll only be calling Blue Dragon.

These guys are awesome! Came over with no issues to inspect my system and pointed out CO2 problem & were able to fix the system same day! Great service, great customer service, and great value! Noel & Jesse were professional, quick, and clean. Answered all my questions and were very knowledgeable about the HVAC system and explained why there was a problem & what it took to fix it. Very transparent about what they were suggesting and why. Recommend services!

Texas All Cash Home Buyers have used Josh and his team at Mr. Rooter for over hundred service calls and renovation projects.  There friendly, scheduling when needed and very fair pricing.  They have become our preferred plumber of choice and would recommend them to anyone.

Best plumbing service ever!!!!  Troy King was at my house in less than an hour after I called. Replaced my water softener and worked with me on the price.  Did a number of small plumbing jobs as well.  I will always use this company for all my plumbing needs!  The company also gives a 10% military discount.  Troy was very professional and knowledgable and went the extra mile to complete the job.

After going to sleep on a Friday night to a busted bathtub valve, I called AAA Auger at 9:00 on Saturday morning.  I got a call back at 9:30 and the AA Auger truck rolled up 15 minutes later,
The repairman looked at the problem valve, gave me price and got right to work.
About 40 minutes later, the valve was replaced an working like a charm

Very quick response with an estimate before they showed up.  Final price was slightly higher but still within reason.   Nobody has time to pay plumbers $89.00 for an estimate, but if you do the work we will refund your estimate.  So IK applaud this company for knowing how much a job should cost and putting that out there for the consumer to decide.  No games, just good work.

Had an appointment scheduled between 8-12, only to get a call saying its more like 2. I had to call back at 2 only to find out, o wait ur looking at more like 6pm. No apolgizes just we're running behind do u want to keep the appointment or not. Theres running behind then theres running 6-8hrs a whole day behind. If u were running that far behind that should of been something acknowledged way before hand, and just asked to reschedule..or at least a call back after a 2 hr push back window was now going to have added another 4 hr window. People take off work or give up their day off to wait for an appointment you guys scheduled and cant even keep or apolgize for.

During the snow storm of 2021 a water pipe busted in my home. I called Roto-Rooter on a Monday and pleasantly found they were scheduling me for the next day.  Winter conditions continued and no show.  I called them at the end of the day and was told all scheduled appointments were moved to next day.  Next day no show, no call.  It's Friday and still no show, but what disturbs me most is no notice this whole time.  I only heard from them once and that's bc I called them.  Luckily my neighbor called A.L. Plumbing and after talking to their plumber he squeezed me in right there on the spot and fixed my problem.  A.L. Plumbing, 210-269-6346.  

I can't speak to R-Rs quality of service, but I can speak to their disregard for customer notification, time, and general courtesy.
