Best Plumbing Services in San Antonio, TX

Why just yesterday Paul and his fabulous crew installed a new water softener in our 1950s home. We are new to SA, so like many, I hopped on Yelp and Google to find plumbers in the area with credibility and solid work ethic. Well, needless to say, Anchor Plumbing was looking quite stellar and once Paul came out to give me a free estimate, he more than lived up to those reviews. He was very clear in explaining the process of installation, the cost, the materials needed, model/warranty info and timing to complete the project. I had 3 other estimates from plumbers, and Paul came in below his competitors and by not trying to upsell me on additional products, I knew he was our guy.
The day of the install couldn't have gone smoother. Paul and his team arrived in the morning and were done before lunch. Everyone was polite, efficient and maintained a level of professionalism that did not go unnoticed. I would highly recommend Anchor Plumbing and will be using them for additional projects in the future.

Great pricing compared to most of the local competition. Just needed a replacement hose. Other companies wanted up to $400 dollars! Flexible and professional. I would do definitely recommend them and will use them again. Great service with fast response.

Henry is amazing! He responded within an hour to my request for a garbage disposal installation, quoted a fair price and set an appointment with me the next day. He communicated updates on timing via text and arrived on the earlier side of the service time window (much appreciated). Payment and checkout was easy as well. Professional and friendly, I would absolutely hire Henry and Plumbit again!

Woke up with lukewarm water and had a company come out and look at our water heater.  They came out and looked at our breakers, charged $165.00 and suggested we just go ahead and get a new water heater, provided a quote and left.  I called Blue Lion for another opinion and a quote for a new heater.  I provided all the work and warranty information from the previous company (I did not provide the dollar amount) and Blue Lion quoted all the same services and warranty for a way better bottom line.  I wish I could remember the young mans name who arrived to install the new heater, because he was great.  Very courteous, knowledgeable and completed the job within an hour or so (including hauling the old heater away).  We had hot water back and the wife and daughter are happy again.  HIGHLY recommend Blue Lion.

Every single person at this company makes you feel like you are their only customer. The tech that came to my house was super knowledgeable and explained the issues he found...then fixed them the same day! They charge fair prices and are all so nice and kind. These people have gone above and beyond for us. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They are the only plumbers we will call from now on!

After checking Yelp for highly rated plumbers that specialize in tankless water heaters in Fremont, BG Plumbing was one of two companies that stood out. When the first plumber didn't call back promptly, I called Tsanko this morning just after 8:30 am, explained that our unit had developed a tiny leak and wasn't working, and he said he could come by around 9 or 9:15.

Tsanko showed up right on time, and quickly diagnosed part of the problem (one of the end-caps inside the unit was slightly loose - and possibly had been since we got the unit a year and a half ago). If that had been it, he wasn't even going to charge us. However, it turned out that one of the sensors also wasn't working properly, and while talking to Navian's tech support, he removed and disassembled the small sensor, got it functioning properly, and hooked everything back up. That did the trick, and things are now back to normal. He also caught the fact that the unit had been incorrectly set to 110 degrees, even though the remote said 120 degrees (something that our contractor obviously missed). It took him just over an hour from start to finish, and the $95 price (his hourly rate) seemed reasonable.

I found Tsanko to be very friendly, methodical, and knowledgeable. It was a great experience all around, and it's nice to know that BG Plumbing is close by if we have any future problems.

Send me a text, show me the problem  Wow, this was after the guy David and I had a long talk about my water heater problem ... I asked him about price and it was out of my budget at this point, because of not knowing what was actually wrong with  the water heater . But clearly he was concerned about my situation so he said take picture of the leak and texted it to me and let me see if I can access and try to give you a more definitive price.
After a couple of photo texts  he accessed the situation and said barring that there is no other problems.... this would be the price $$ but if there's other issues after we get there then the price will go up to this $$. A young man by the name of Stephen  called shortly after I text  David and he said he was on his way and promptly showed up very courteous, respectful and professional and quoted me a price less than what was quoted earlier I was happy to pay what was quoted earlier but he said don't worry just do a Yelp he also informed me of another potential problem which at this time I couldn't take care of however I will be using them again in the future in about a month. I know I've only use them once and for short period of time but I do highly recommend them and will be recommending them to my friends.
What I liked about the conversation on the  phone: it was not standardize he did not talk to me like this was just business as usual he actually talk to me like I was a human on the other line if he were a doctor people would say he had a great bedside manner I'm just saying he wasn't trying to make a sale he was just being for real and honest. I guess it doesn't get any better than that.  -

Needed to replace a Whirlpool water softener from 2016.  Went to Lowe's thinking I would select the AO Smith water softener and arrange for Lowe's to deliver and setup like they did in 2016.  That is no longer the process.  If you want the AO Smith water softener that they have in stock, you purchase it and pick it up or have it delivered. You have to install it yourself or find someone to install it for you.  The process now is someone from Alamo Water Softeners (AWS) contacts you to setup a time to look at your current situation.  That immediately told me it was going to be much more expensive.  AWS called me within a few hours and they came out the next day, looked at my current system and made recommendations.  They recommended an excellent system, one of their least expensive solutions.  After looking at all the options, I selected a much better system.  AWS called a couple hours later and setup the time for delivery and installation.  So, I contacted Lowe's on Tuesday, AWS called later that afternoon and evaluated my system on Wednesday.  After that, AWS called and setup delivery and installation for Thursday.  AWS showed up on time with a three person crew and removed the old water softener, then installed and setup the new system in less than three hours.  From start to finish, AWS was excellent.  I have a new AO Smith water softener and filter system that is much better designed for the hard water we have in San Antonio.  Although this is a much more expensive system than I intended on buying, I am very satisfied with what I have.  I highly recommend Alamo Water Systems.

As an update to our review regarding A&A Plumbing written on 8/31/22, why would it take a business 2 months to respond and attempt to justify their
exorbitant charges.  Suffice it to say that their delinquent response validates the very reason we will never use their services again.  In business, honesty, integrity and credibility mean everything ... once it's sacrificed, consumer trust and confidence are lost.

We first met Jaime about 8 years ago when he was hired by our contractor to do the plumbing for a new addition on our central Austin home.  He did all the work for a new master bath, added a tankless water heater and removed old cast iron plumbing from our 1940s home.  Two years later he came back to reroute the plumbing in our guest bath.  He did great work with both jobs and we never had any issues while we lived there.

In 2019, I referred him to a friend who was experiencing a plumbing emergency at his rental.  My friend was super impressed with Jaime's responsiveness and work and was incredibly thankful to have found an honest, trustworthy plumber to help out during an incredibly stressful time.

And in February 2021, we had a pipe break in our new home after the major freeze.  We were panicked that we wouldn't be able to get it fixed timely since it seemed like everyone else in Austin was dealing with the same issue, but Jaime came to the rescue the next day and fixed the busted pipe.

In the 8 years we have called on Jaime, every single experience was top notch. I don't know what I appreciate the most about him: his professionalism, the prompt communication, the excellent work or how wonderfully nice and pleasant he is. The fact that we have been able to call on him to work on every single home we have owned in Austin really speaks volumes about the quality of his business and his work.  Thank you, Jaime, for always being there for us when we need you. You are the best!!!

Had been trying to get a plumber out for over a week to no avail. Outside spigot was leaking and making a mess of our exterior wall. EZ Flow came out 2 hours after I called them, and began work immediately after giving a reasonable quote. Stuck to the quote and finished the work in no time. Would definitely hire them for any  plumbing issues. Fast, friendly, good work, reasonable prices. Great company from my experience.

Professional and very honest. Completed the job very quickly and told me what he was doing as he completing the repair. Good price and he left me tips on how to keep my plumbing safe and trouble free. We inspected all the other water outlets in my house and he told me how to are for them all. Great job and service.

I recently posted a review that spoke negatively of this plumbing company's ability to schedule and hold an appointment . To my surprise, they took my review to heart and  called me to apologize . I chose to give them a second chance. Ernie and Jesse came to my home to assess my plumbing concerns, they left to think about what would be their approach.  They worked with In all my constraints and came in Approximately 50% under what I had  budgeted.  I will absolutely use them again and refer them to friends .

Pete was a true professional: excellent, knowledgeable, and most of all honest.  I've used his business for a number of plumbing needs and he's always responsive and fair.  His employees have always gone the extra mile to do a great job even when being called on to do an emergency job last minute.  I highly recommend Elite Plumbing . Veteran owned and operated!!!

Today was most disappointing service I've had from any home repair company. First came in look at faucet  ask have removed and put new one in and I'm told it be 245. I said ok and then he said best I just buy  my own tool and change it my self that it would cost less to do.  If that was case wouldn't have called have  the services down I will no longer we reaching out to John Wayne services

During the snow storm of 2021 a water pipe busted in my home. I called Roto-Rooter on a Monday and pleasantly found they were scheduling me for the next day.  Winter conditions continued and no show.  I called them at the end of the day and was told all scheduled appointments were moved to next day.  Next day no show, no call.  It's Friday and still no show, but what disturbs me most is no notice this whole time.  I only heard from them once and that's bc I called them.  Luckily my neighbor called A.L. Plumbing and after talking to their plumber he squeezed me in right there on the spot and fixed my problem.  A.L. Plumbing, 210-269-6346.  

I can't speak to R-Rs quality of service, but I can speak to their disregard for customer notification, time, and general courtesy.
