Blue Dragon Plumbing offers both commercial and residential service, including water heater repair and installation, drain cleaning, kitchen and bathroom fixture repair and replacement, Insta-Hot and garbage disposal installation, light remodeling of kitchen and bathroom fixtures, repair of water leaks, PRV installation and replacement, repair/replacement of appliance gas lines, annual commercial gas line inspections, and annual plumbing system maintenance. All of our work complies with the rules and regulations of the Texas Plumbing Code, without exception. Our regular hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Saturday. If you have an emergency plumbing issue, please call rather than contacting us by email or through Yelp. Our labor rates consist of a one-hour minimum of $165,which includes a half hour of travel time, and additional time is charged at $27.50/15 minutes ($110/hr). Gilbert is the best! Super communicative and gets the job done super fast. And if he's busy, he even has a personal list of other plumbers he recommends. Prices are reasonable and up front (doesn't require someone to come out to get a quote/give you some arbitrary ballpark number).
We had already prepped the site for him to fix our main water valve and he had it done in less than 20 minutes. We spent more time waiting for the water to be turned off and back on than he actually spent on the job.
Would definitely use again for plumbing needs!
Very impressive response. Unfortunately, Blue Dragon does not service my area, but Gilbert was extremely responsive and actually provided a recommended local company to use. Now that's service - even for essentially a non-customer. Thank you Gilbert!

I called for him to come out and finish an installation of a water heater that was missing a sediment trap. Hassle free and below estimate he installed it and really offered a lot of advice for someone who is a new home owner for other trades as well as tips for few other things around the house. I've called this company 3x over the past 2 years. Every time I call I'm told they are 1 or more weeks out before they can even look at the service need.
He also doesn't call back or respond to message.i had to call him again. Nice when you talk to him but you probably can't easily hire him.
Professional & speedy service, and also reasonably priced. Highly recommend!
Man what can I say about Gilbert. He arrived on time, was polite, and assesses the issue quickly. I was thinking it was going to be a leak, turns out the filter was really dirty. Honest professional who helped in during a tough time. Highly recommend if you are looking for an honest and knowledgeable professional.

I called Blue Dragon Plumbing after neither our handyman nor a guy from a big box service company were up to the task of installing our under-the-counter water filter. Gilbert completed the job quickly and easily. He even texted the next day to make sure we had not experienced any leaks. I also really appreciated his friendliness and reasonable price. We will definitely call Blue Dragon again when needed!
Gilbert did a wonderful job for us today -- a SATURDAY! Don't know if he normally works weekends, but he was able to come out to Georgetown today and fix a toilet and a valve and did it all quickly and for a very reasonable price. Plus he is a very nice guy and answered lots of questions and gave us good advice. Call him -- you won't be sorry!

Blue Dragon were super upfront and let me know that based on my description of our situation they probably couldn't help, but gave me a recommendation of another company to call. I called the other company and have had an excellent experience with them. It's really nice to feel like Blue Dragon honestly assessed the situation rather than send someone out and waste time and money, and even better that they sent me to someone who could help us out.

Over 400 5 star reviews should tell you all you need to know but I'll add mine too. I hired blue dragon when my water heater needed replacement. The man who came was extremely friendly, but what really stood out to me was how he showed me how the heater worked and gave me step by step instructions to maintain it year after year.

Gilbert is a CHAMPION. He arrived, asked some questions, assessed the needs of the project and communicated clearly to me what he was about to do. He wasted no time at all during the project. His work ethic was easy to see, he worked fast and efficiently to install a pressure regulator and owner shut off valve at my house. He also listens, and when I asked to make a last minute change to the length of the tube for the owner shut off valve, he happily went back out to his van, got a saw out and cut it to my requested spec.

I had Blue Dragon Plumbing come out for a leak on a exterior faucet. I had never used them before and later learned Gilbert is the single employee/owner. He was very quick to respond and when he arrived was very efficient in removing the existing faucet and replacing it. The cost was reasonable I think. Gilbert is very friendly. I continue to use Gilbert year after year. He's so professional, so knowledgeable, so nice and just such a wonderful person. My water heater was acting up, and I asked him to come out and look at it. He showed me how I really needed to replace it because it was completely rusty on the top and would be too dangerous to fix. It wasn't safe. He helped me decide on a new water heater, and just put in the new one today. He urged me to get a second opinion on the price because this is the kind of person you're dealing with. He's so honest. Let's just say I'm loyal for life.
We had a leaking kitchen faucet and Gilbert saved the day. He was able to fit us in the same day we called, he did an amazing job and he even threw in some jokes for free!
He did an awesome job for a fair price. Gilbert at Blue Dragon is now our go-to-guy for all our plumbing needs.

I felt like Gilbert has so many five-star reviews, why leave another? :D But I do want to, as I've been time and time again over the moon with Gilbert and his work. He's fixed things, added an owner shutoff valve, and even sends me recommendations when he feels he can't get to me on time. But I always come back to Blue Dragon.

I hate dealing with plumbers and electricians but really did well with Blue Dragon Plumbing. Gilbert did a great job of replacing our kitchen faucet and at a fair price and in only 30 minutes. Nice guy to talk to and very down to earth and he really seemed to actually like what he does for a living and it show.
This is one occasion where we kept a business card! We will call Blue Dragon again if we have other plumbing issues.
Unfortunately I had an emergency and they were not available until next week, but they responded quickly and referred me to another plumber that took emergency calls. That is really going above and beyond and I appreciate the time and effort they took to help me.
Gilbert is the type of person you always want when something goes wrong with your plumbing. I have used his services multiple times because he Just gets it done. He is a hard-working master craftsman who does OUTSTANDING work. He has gone above-and-beyond expectations every-time. Blue Dragon is great. I would give them 5 stars but on 2 occasions they have been too busy to come out and have recommended Plumb Masters who were very high priced and not customer friendly.
If it is not an emergency - Blue Dragon is worth the wait. If it is an emergency, do not take their recommendation of Plumb Masters.

Gilbert installed a dishwasher and garbage disposal for me recently; he arrived on time and did great work. I always try to learn new things when embarking on a project and Gilbert was incredibly patient with me. Afterwards, I was able to point out a few other issues (related to how homes are built these days) and he took the time to suggest improvements, which have already been scheduled. It's always nice to work with professionals who take pride in their work and enjoy what they do; don't hesitate to schedule Blue Dragon for your project--whatever it is. But with their stellar reputation, don't wait until the last minute to call! :-)
Finding a good plumber is not easy! Gilbert at Blue Dragon Plumbing came highly recommended by my son-in-law when I needed a water filter installed under my kitchen sink. Gilbert was quite busy when I initially called him and wouldn't be able to help me out for about two weeks due to being backed up on jobs. My issue wasn't something that was an emergency, and given all the 5 star reviews they have, I took a chance with them and said I'd wait a couple weeks for him to be able to come out. I wasn't disappointed. They ended up having a cancellation and were able to get to me a lot sooner than expected and had me fixed up in a jiffy. I was quoted 500 - 1000 for the job due to there being a lot of variables that can affect the price, and they came in at the very low end of that quote
which was an awesome surprise.
I can't say enough about how awesome Gilbert is. He is polite, punctual, hard working and a master craftsman.
If i need ANY plumbing work in the future, Blue Dragon Plumbing is who I'll be using.
I called Gilbert out to fix two shut off valves in our kitchen. I wanted the new quarter turn valve and Gilbert told me I could save money if I got them myself at Home Depot since his supplier didn't have them. He also answered my calls when I couldn't find the eighth size. He was quick and very friendly.
I asked about putting in a ice maker valve in my garage and he took a look and told me how he could use the water softener loop. He came back and installed a whole house shutoff in our garage and an ice maker hookup! He is such a great guy and down to earth. He was even joking and singing to my son who was interested in him soldering the connections.
We had a great experience with Blue Dragon. They replaced 2 hot water heaters in our attic. We had some lingering hot water issues throughout the house after the new heaters were installed. They returned and helped identify all of the issues, replaced sink faucets, etc. Their team is great - very professional and responsive. And fairly priced.
Was in need of emergency repair after the great freeze of 2021 and Blue Dragon came through. Great communication, great work, and great price. Highly recommend and will definitely call for my future plumbing needs!
Discovered sink wasn't working when I came back after the freeze last week--Gilbert picked up right away and was at my house in less than 2 hours--which is AMAZING considering all the plumbers I called before weren't answering phones or taking new clients due to all the homes and pipes affected by the cold snap. He also took a look at the water heater in my attic and said he couldn't replace it as it needed a crew and some construction work, but he recommended me to someone that could. He didn't charge me for the visit since apparently my sink valves were just turned off. He was incredibly kind and generous with his time to help me figure something out for free. This guy is the real deal.
Gilbert and his crew are friendly, fast and knowledgeable. Had a clogged drain in the kitchen and Gilbert responded to my email within hours and set up a time for the following day. Arrived on time, quickly assessed the issue and had it fixed in less than 45 minutes.

We have used Blue Dragon several times over the years with fantastic results. Blue Dragon is on time, on budget, with perfect customer service, and excellent results. Most recently, we called Blue Dragon for a bad water heater. Again, they tool care of our problem as true professionals.
We had hot water in no time for a fair price. I would not trust anyone else for my plumbing needs.
I highly recommend Blue Dragon plumping. Scheduling was easy and the turn around was quick. I had a new main valve installed, new lines installed under my kitchen sink and also had a new dishwasher hooked up. All was reasonably priced. The tech who did the job was named Aaron. He was on time, courteous, he communicated well, wore a mask and did an excellent job. Blue Dragon Plumbing will be my go to company for my plumbing needs. Matt came by and hooked up the water supply to our bidet correctly. It was so good to get a professional on the job. I couldn't for the life of me get it done myself.
From start to finish, Blue Dragon was friendly and professional: in scheduling my service, in pricing and in fixing the problem. They even knocked a few bucks off the job because it was a simple fix. We just appreciate them coming out. Their competitor wouldn't come out, he...doesn't do bidets. (lol).
I am so glad we know a good plumber. Blue Dragon Plumber is in our Rolodex.

Well looks like my last review was right, after the last job Gilbert did. He gave me a bid for replacing my water heaters and pressure regulator value. I got that bid the same day, even thou he said to shop around for prices I did not. I knew that day I wanted to use Gilbert again.
Gilbert and Blake came out and did a fantastic job! I will say this has been my BEST yelp decision yet. I have used Blue Dragon going on three times now and will continue to use them.
His pricing it spot on, fast service, and just a cool guy.
I will say it again. If you are needing anything plumbing related you MUST call Gilbert at Blue Dragon. You will be glad you did!!
Had some issues with hot water pressure. I requested a quote early Saturday morning over Yelp (non-emergency) and Gilbert responded within minutes to set up an early afternoon appointment.
Like I told Gilbert, I learned a lot about how I wasn't taking care of my water heater. The guy was a pro and had me back up and running within 90 minutes.
When my old water heater finally kicks the bucket I'll be using Gilbert and team to replace.
Bonus point to them for teaching me how to flush the water heater...most homeowners are probably as unaware as I was.

Gilbert completed a list of miscellaneous plumbing chores for me today that I had been putting off for a while. He replaced all the shut-offs to the washer and bathroom fixtures, which had frozen up with good old Austin water calcium; he also rebuilt the toilet workings. Given the nature of the job, rather than stack up fixed charges for each item, he charged an hourly rate for only as long as the work entailed (the total has about half of one of the line item bids).
I had used him several months back to replace my water heater and repair some fixtures. I really like the fact that he always has offered up options with clear explanations. Both experiences showed his work to be fast, efficient, and of good quality and care; and as a person he has been prompt, professional, and friendly and easy to work with (especially to schedule). Given that no one wants to have plumbing work done, I must say that that both times he left me happy with my selection and with the work.
I think Blue Dragon is about a 4.6 or so, so I've rounded up to 5. I had a shower faucet that leaked into the shower. I had tried to get the handle off myself for the repair, but it wasn't budging, so I decided to call a professional. Truthfully i changed my mind three times before picking Blue Dragon. In addition to the shower issue, we had two outside faucets (aka hose bibs) that would drip a bit in colder weather.... i wanted to get those serviced, suspecting an old washer or crown packing,. Last on my list were the valves to my two toilets. I hate multi-turn valves when there's a bowl emergency (about to over flow), and the crowns also leak a few drops in certain positions.
With that list I used the Blue Dragon web page contact form on a Wednesday night to place my request. The next day I got an email from the owner (Gilbert Jimenez) detailing his fees and proposing an afternoon visit. I took it, and one of his crew, Matt, was calling promptly at 12:30 to say he was on his way.
My wife was on site when he visited. I had to walk him through the wish list a bit again by phone, and he recommended it would be cheaper to replace the outside faucets rather than repair them, I agreed. My wife says he moved quickly from task to task. He had a bit of trouble getting the shower handle off to, but quickly came to a solution and took care of it.
All the work was done with two hours of billing (including their standard 1/2 hour for travel).
When I got home there were a few detail points that I though needed further attention. I put another request in on the website and promptly got a followup call from Gilbert. He took my 'notes' with no push back and Matt was able to drop by again the next day to address the details.
I am very pleased with Blue Dragon's service. I would use them again and recommend them to my friends. I am particularly pleased with their suggestions that were different from my request, but saved me money. They were able to use a couple parts I had in my 'plumbing' box. They were very conscientious about being on the clock and moved swiftly from task to task. And, when I had a couple concerns about the work, they came back promptly to do the fix on their nickel.
One suggestion for them is to find a web based contact system that sends the client by email the message they leave in the contact form. There was one point in the project when my wife asked didn't you tell them XYZ, and I thought I had, but I couldn't confirm it. Until then, before you hit 'submit' on their web page contact form, you might want to copy and paste your message locally so you have a record.
A few days ago I had a new toilet installed by Gilbert at Blue Dragon Plumbing and it's easy to see why he's risen to the top of yelp. I had scheduled this installation about a week in advance through yelp and Gilbert responded at the end of his work day to get me scheduled. What I love is how Gilbert was upfront with his fair pricing so I knew what to expect. From the start I really felt comfortable working with him as he treats clients as he'd want to be treated.
The day of installation, Gilbert arrived on time with a courtesy text beforehand to let me know things stayed on schedule. Upon meeting him, it was clear that Gilbert takes pride in doing solid work so I knew I was in good hands. He switched out my toilet easily and I'm looking forward to working with Blue Dragon again in the near future for a few more toilet changes and more.

As if the reviews on here arent enough, I am adding mine into the ring as well.
He told me that it would be about a week out for this particular job and I was totally willing to wait (because of all of the positive reviews already on here). He gave me a ballpark estimate over the phone which I was ok with and scheduled the job
After he came out, the job actually took a little less time than he thought it would so he was in and out and therefore the cost was a bit less than I expected even. He is not motivated to take his time like other plumbers and take as long as possible on jobs so that you are stuck paying more and more for the hourly fees. He is super professional, very friendly (loved my dog), and DANG good at what he does.
I have found my new plumber for any and all jobs that I can possibly use him in the future and already referred him to a friend who needed to get some plumbing work done. The only negative I have to say about him is that he doesn't have a clone - because I imagine once the word keeps spreading like this it will be tough sledding to get him! He is just that great!
Spoke to Gilbert on the phone at 10a, by 1030 Matt was at my house and ready to get shit done. Knew exactly how to fix the clog in my AC line, and then also replaced some wrong parts installed on my ptrap under the sink. Previous AC guy out the day before had cut the drain line and Matt located that, and fixed it without me having to show him or tell him. Matt was pretty knowledgeable of AC units being that he's a plumber. Gilbert, keep him brotha!
$210 is what Gilbert guesstimated over the phone and that's what it ended up being so all in all, I'm pretty good with that if that's what it took to solve the pesky issue.

Update 6/3/19
Finally got a chance to get some work done by Blue Dragon, after having a good experience with customer service a couple of years ago. These guys were very responsive, and even managed to get the job done earlier than we originally estimated.
The job was to lower a gas line for my new range. In order for it to back flush against the kitchen wall we had to lower the gas pipe connection about a foot or so. Pricing was fair and competitive based on the bids I received for this job, communication was excellent, and work was done professionally.
Note: This is not a negative, just an FYI for anyone planning this type of work. They had to cut out a piece of sheet rock to lower the plumbing, however they do not do sheet rock repair. You'll have to have someone else patch up any openings. They did refer me to a handyman though.
We have had Blue Dragon to our house 3 or 4 times, for major projects (water heater, replacing all cutoffs and faucets) to minor leak repair. We have always been happy with the quality of work and the friendliness. I recommend them to my neighbors and say hi when I see him in their driveways. Our whole street is in on the secret: call Blue Dragon!
It is easy to see why Gilbert and Blue Dragon Plumbing get stellar 5-star reviews. I had another plumber (Radiant) do some work at the house on a water heater under warranty and they said the water pressure was too high in the house and we would need to install a pressure regulating valve (PRV) to a) bring the house up to code and b) the current pressure in the house was high and would damage the interior pipes.
I called Gilbert to get a second opinion, he came out and tested the water pressure and showed me the result - it was only 50-55 psi, well under the high pressure of 80 psi. Radiant Plumbing basically wanted to do $1000 plus worth of work that was unnecessary. Gilbert even looked at my water heaters and came and did an inside inspection of the bathrooms. I told him I wanted to pay him for his time and his response was 'why, I didn't do anything...and that other plumber tried to take your money'. Exceptional service, honesty and very transparent in his service and work. I will call him for all of our future residential plumbing needs.

They showed with wearing masks as they promised and on time. They diagnosed the gas fireplace And found the problem. They repaired and gave a tip to maintain it properly so it will last long. Highly recommended.

Previous home owners decided it would be a great idea to incorrectly seal one of the toilets. Over time it began leaking under the floorboards, warping them. Gilbert came out and fixed it right up in no time flat. Turnaround was great, even during the holidays. My wife and I chatted with him for a while after the job and learned more about him and his business. Great guy with a great attitude. I certainly hope we don't need any plumbing work in the future, but when something inevitably does go wrong, we know who to call.
He came. He saw. He fixed our problem.
We had a water leak in our pipes and he quickly came to fix the problem.

I chose to go with Blue Dragon because of the strong yelp reviews and I was not disappointed! We came back from vacation to our water heater broke and was leaking through a wall. I called about 5 places and couldn't find anyone to come out, but after I txted Gilbert and told him I was running out of paper towels to dry up the leak he was there in the same day, new hot water heater in hand. His quote was very reasonable and he was friendly, expeditious, and knowledgeable about other plumbing issues around my house. The other thing that impressed me is that as soon as I mentioned I was thinking about a hybrid or tankless water heater he mentioned a few places he could refer me to, stating he didn't do those installs. Instead of trying to talk me out of it, he just said here is someone else who can help, that shows character. I was and am impressed and will use them again.

Gilbert showed up promptly, added the gas tie-in I requested in about 20 minutes, that was it. Great service, and I was able to schedule it the same-day. I would highly recommend!
Gilbert was great. Stopped by to lower the gas line behind our new stove and made quick work of it. Very professional and I'm glad we were able to make our way onto his busy schedule.
Had service on primary main valve into the house. The tech didn't get the pressure right but came back and all is excellent.

I called a few plumbers on Monday morning, and got everyone's voicemail. Gilbert answered his phone on the second ring and let me know up front that he didn't have an opening until later in the week. A couple of hours later, Gilbert let me know that his tech was available if I was ok with the date change. Aaron completed the work in our shower, replacing a part in the shower handle so it would turn, and also addressed issues we'd been dealing with/ignoring in 2 bathroom sinks, and restored water pressure to my kitchen faucet. Both men were polite, friendly, and very professional. Highly recommend.

Once again Gilbert came to our rescue right away when we needed it! It turned out that it was a very minor repair that took a few minutes. He didn't even want to charge us, but he took the time to travel to help us so we gave him a tip anyway. Easy to tell he loves people and loves his job. We think he is the greatest!

Don't waste your time calling other plumbers like I did. Call Blue Dragon. You might have to wait for them because they are busy. But that's because they are honest and don't try to scam you. I called 3 plumbers. These guys were hands down the best. Best service and price. Good, clear communication throughout and easy to work with. So thankful to find a reputable person who cares about his business reputation and demonstrates it through the quality of his work and care of his customers.

First time home owner and I wanted a once over from a plumber to make sure everything is OK.
It was a great experience from:
- Prompt response on Yelp after I described my situation
- Good communication and on time arrival
- Honest assessment of what he can or can't do and what wasn't necessary (at this time)
- Impromptu hair removal from a tub just to share a tip with us on how to handle it on our own in the future
- No charge for all this
I really appreciated Gilbert's passion about plumbing and his honest and direct communication style (he's a riot). Even though I didn't have any work performed on this visit, I won't hesitate to call hime in the future when I need a plumber.
Always prompt, polite, friendly, and helpful. I've been going to Gilbert since I first discovered him on Yelp more than five years ago.
On his last visit, he added in a quick 2nd job for no extra charge since it fit within the minimum hour that I was paying for anyway.
10 stars if possible!! Gilbert fixed a shower/tub leak AND gave me a super competitive quote to replace a 24 year old Hot Water Heater. I waited and worked with his schedule for both jobs as it is a busy summer!
When you find a fantastic, masterful, and positive tradesman, it's best to stick with them as trustworthy and brilliant technicians. Gilbert is an amazing master plumber - worth the wait if you can wait on any job - he's an artist with his work and a great man to trust your home with. I couldn't be happier with his work, communication, pricing, and positivity. Leak solved quickly and hot water heater replacement was flawlessly accomplished.
Sent Gil the plumbing section of my home inspection report and he got back to me wuickly with a quote. When Matt came out to do the work, he let me know a lot of what was on the report may have not been in need of repairs, so that saved us a bunch of money. Work was completed quickly and everything works great.

We used Blue Dragon to replace our water heater about 2 years ago and they did an excellent job. So when our shower head started leaking I immediately called Blue Dragon and they were able to come out the same day to fix. Gilbert was very knowledge me and good at explaining what he was doing. I will continue to use them for all our plumbing needs.

Our sink disposal stopped working and Blue Dragon was recommended to us. Gilbert was very easy to work with on the phone and super accommodating for our schedule. Matt came by to work on our disposal and was able to find and fix the problem within minutes. Since we already owed for the whole hour, he installed a new faucet that we recently purchased too. Very happy with the quality of work and service. Pricing is around 160 for the first hour and around 110 for each additional hour. Very reasonable! Will call them again.
Gilbert is Awesome. Came on the same day as the call. Very professional has lots of knowledge. Very polite and courteous. Had low pressure water to the house. Repair quickly And efficient. Thank you Blue Dragon Plumbing. Down to earth Gentlemen.

Watch out for this company! Unless you ask upfront....they do not give you a quote for the job! They charge you for an hour minimum even if the job only takes 15 minutes! They also charge you for 30 minutes driving time.... which I didn't find out about until it was time to pay the bill. Why would you charge someone for driving time? That is part of your job requirement to drive from one place to another! Very shady and dishonest. The plumber who came to my house had to leave twice to get the parts that should have been on his truck. So a 15-minute job drug out for 2 and 1/2 hours. I learned a valuable lesson here. Next time, I will get several quotes ahead of time! Spoke with the owner Gilbert and even after he said he would give me a partial refund he called back to inform me that he was not giving me a partial refund. Very dissatisfied customer here!
I can't believe I'm saying this from my home in Texas, but my pipes froze overnight. I am so thankful that I found Gilbert's Yelp page because he took the time to help me despite his extremely busy schedule today. Gilbert- thank you for taking my call!

Gilbert was fantastic!! He showed up on time and got right down to the problem. He found the two leaks that I had and then walked me through how he was going to fix it. He then found some corrosive material and told me it was better if I just bought a whole new faucet. That was very honest because he could have just did a half-ass job to plug the leak.
He installed a brand new kitchen faucet in a matter of minutes. Even though he gets paid by the hour he didn't milk it to get more $$ out of me. Even though Gilbert is usually booked days out he is worth the wait if you can. Highly recommended and if I ever need another plumbing project I know the man for the job.

OK, so the deal is this. Gilbert obviously has 3 arms...which seems like a good thing.
Aaaand so how do I know this? It is because Gilbert is the ONLY plumber who answers the phone every time it rings. I mean how else can you hold a leaky pipe, a pipe wrench AND reach for your mobile?? Seriously!!
But that is only the start of how Gilbert up-levels his game - as good communications are critical to homeowners who are in a pinch.
My personal experience was very good as Gilbert helped resolve a backed-up sewer pipe. To ensure his work was thorough, he ran his pipe-cleaner 4 times into every sink we had. He managed this messy job in a very clean and sanitary manner - which impressed me.
As others mentioned here, Gilbert is committed to customer service and satisfaction with his demeanor, his communication and setting of expectations.

Had a very good experience with Gilbert. He was the only one who called us back when we had a nasty leak and needed help quickly. He got right to it when he arrived and pulled off a very impressive job, cutting a huge old pipe and splicing it with ease. It's a year later and the job has held up perfectly. Blue Dragon to the rescue. Needed to replace the toilets in our house ASAP and they got here less than 24 hours after the request. Gilbert went above and beyond to get the old corroded toilets out and put in our new ones. So thankful. Polite, professional and did what it took to get the job done.
Excellent. Their employee wore a mask and installed my faucet with ease. Great job and he cleaned up after himself which is a plus.
Gilbert was great at communicating and very clear about his rates prior to coming out. He showed up on time with all the tools and parts needed for the repair and went over and above what was asked. He not only fixed the symptom of the problem but actually identified the root cause and proactively fixed that as well. I have dealt with a lot of service providers over the years and there are very few that I would put in the same category as blue dragon Plumbing.

Absolutely top notch service. They came out 15 minutes after I called them, on a Sunday! Andrew was extremely knowledgeable, polite, and helpful.
I will be calling Blue Dragon for all of my plumbing needs from here on out.
Had a leaking drain valve on a water heater that dripped every 3 - 5 seconds. In the process of explaining my issue to several plumbers, over the phone, most said its either a replacement of the heater or replace the valve which may or may not work. Most wanted a trip charge ($$$) to come out and look at it plus parts etc.
Gilbert gave me a call back and over the phone said your best option is to just put a hose bib cap on it-- $2.40 my issues was fixed over the phone. He was very informative and honest! I will be sure to use his services in the future due to this experience.

Gilbert and Matt are good guys. Gilbert was incredibly responsive, helpful and friendly via both email and telephone, and Matt arrived on time with a phone call in advance to let me know he was on his way. He then did a great job at a fair price installing new toilets. While I hope I don't have more plumbing needs in the near future, I'll now consider Blue Dragon to be my trusted, go-to solution.
As a first-time homeowner, I was concerned about finding honest and trustworthy businesses for maintenance and repair work. Blue Dragon was recommended to me by a friend, and they have been absolutely wonderful! Gilbert is incredibly kind and responsive to emails and phone calls.
Andrew came out and fixed the toilet that wasn't flushing when I bought the house. He then took the time to walk through the whole house with my boyfriend and check the rest of the plumbing, offering honest advice and doing some minor repairs like adjusting the sink stoppers.
I had Andrew come out again about six months later to install two new toilets (even though the repaired toilet was working fine. What can I say, I'm picky!) He remembered us and asked how all our DIY projects were going. He installed the new toilets in no time at all and explained everything he did and how to keep them in tip-top shape.
I'm so grateful for Blue Dragon. They have earned a customer for life!
I couldn't ask for more in a plumber. Gilbert responded extremely quickly via both phone and email, and always took the time to thoroughly answer my questions. When he couldn't do work I needed, he was quick with a recommendation for someone who could.

I have used Blue Dragon Plumbing for two different jobs that I was 110% satisfied on both of them!! Gilbert and his crew are all incredibly knowledgeable, honest, professional and very friendly. Gilbert is very, very thorough with his craft. The water heater installation he did is immaculate and the busted pipe they fixed is all good to go now and was fixed the SAME day I called them. I recently had another plumbing issue that I planned to call Gilbert to come fix, and sent him an email with what was going on. He gave me a call the same day, diagnosed the issue over the phone and I fixed it on my own that night with a $10 fix. I've NEVER had somebody do this for me as they always want to come out for the service charge, and whatever else additional charges that may come with the repair. This shows you how GREAT of a company Blue Dragon Plumbing is and how honest of a person Gilbert is. This is the ONLY plumbing company I will call for all my future plumbing needs and recommend anybody and everybody to call them for theirs as well. I have been in touch with Gil at Blue Dragon a few times in the past couple of years for some plumbing issues. Previously, he has been booked and referred me to plumbers who have got the jobs done, but I recently got to work with Gil and learn why he has the reviews and ratings he does. He is one of the best. I had an issue with my disposal following disposing of a homemade mac'n'cheese rejected by toddlers. Thought I needed a whole new disposal. Gil was available, quickly came by and fixed the issue, and educated me on the easy fix that I was unaware of. Wouldn't take a trip fee. Just volunteered his knowledge and expertise, solved my issue, and left. He is a man of integrity and I am grateful for his expertise and passion for his work. ABSOLUTELY USE HIM IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.

He knew the problem I described for the outdoor backflow preventer.
Unfortunately, he was honest in telling me he let his certification lapse for this because he didn't have many requests to fix these. Totally respectable and appreciate his honesty!
Although I couldn't use his service, I appreciate his willingness to reply and help me.

We researched the best.
And with Blue Dragon Plumbing, we got better than the best!
Our initial inquiry into getting our toilets looked at set us at an appointment time about two weeks into the future. Was it worth the wait?
Yes! Gilbert got back to us with an available time in the first week we called, and we seized the opportunity to have our toilet problem solved by the most experienced and efficient plumber around. The diagnosis was: need new toilets.
Our brand new Kohler toilets arrived a week later, and Gilbert was more than happy to come back out and to do our bathrooms justice with his excellent plumbing skills and great humor on the side. From the moment he arrived to the second he left, courteousness stuck to his words like white on rice. All professionalism, but at the same time, he made us feel like family, joking and smiling all the while saving our bathrooms from the pit of despair that they had been. We finally did away with the cheap models with a bidet attached to one by the previous owners, who claimed they used it to wash the dogs. Out that went!
Gilbert is the epitome of intelligence, the paragon of efficiency, and his dedication to his business and customers is the most shining example of the American dream: to believe, to hope, to work hard, and to achieve the kind of success that not only serves himself but spreads to others.

Gilbert and Aaron are both amazing! My contractor assured me that he could do the simple plumbing in the bathroom he was remodeling for me. When the water wouldn't divert from the faucet to the showerhead, he spent 2.5 weeks researching the problem (including calling Kohler). I finally got tired of waiting and called Blue Dragon. Gilbert came out for the free survey and told me what he thought might be responsible for the problem. After some discussion with my contractor, I texted Gilbert and he came back out that day to problem solve some more. He thought he had a solution but would have to come back at a later date. Keep in mind, he had previously said Wed was his earliest available appointment (this was Thursday). He didn't want me without the use of the shower for another week, so he asked Aaron to come out to do the quick repair. When that didn't completely solve the issue, Aaron stayed and kept working on it until he figured it out (some obscure issue). He communicated with me the entire time to keep me updated on what he was doing to try to get it working correctly. My shower is now working beautifully. Both men were very reliable, diligent, and extremely personable. I highly recommend Blue Dragon!
We had Blue Dragon come out to fix leaky piping under the sink. We decided to buy a new faucet and garbage disposal while we had the plumber out. Gilbert not only replaced all our piping and install faucet & GD, but also removed an old unused reverse osmosis filter that was cluttering up the area under the sink. He arrived promptly, was clean and polite, had a very good fun demeanor, worked quickly but with absolute quality. Did it all in 2 hours and a reasonable price. I gave Gilbert a ring after banging my head against the wall with my home warranty company (AHS). Had an issue they had sent 5 different plumbers out to fix, and they were now giving me the run around. I decided to call Gilbert to see if he'd be willing to come take a look and hopefully resolve my issue. Gilbert took the time to chat with me and actually tell me what the issue was with my plumbing and how to fix it, and that if I was handy I'd save some cash doing it myself as opposed to him coming out and charging me! I took Gilbert's advice and added the valves he mentioned, and my issue was 100% resolved with the 30 minutes it took for me to add them and the $80 I spent for the parts. I've been corresponding with owner Gilbert Jimenez for a few months about a few plumbing issues around my house and when the project hasn't been appropriate for his business, Gilbert has recommended others for the job that have worked out great. Recently he came by to give me a free inspection of a leak. Since I'm planning a renovation before long he gave me a quick fix at no charge and recommended several companies that could help with various parts of the renovation. I'm impressed because he could have charged for the inspection or for some needless work but he spent his time patiently going over options and recommendations instead. I really appreciated his time and kindness and look forward to hiring him down the road when something appropriate pops up.
We had a non emergency service request to replace a wax seal on a toilet. Gilbert was professional, did a great job (quality), and left the job site clean. Price was right too!

Gilbert said I could probably fix our running toilets our myself before we spend any extra money by going to hardware store and buying $4-5 flapper and replacing those. He even recommended a leak professional company if we do think we have a leak. He said that was the first step before calling a plumber if our water bill is high and we think the cause is a leak! What a breath of fresh air! He said he did not want me to waste any money until we try those 2 options. HIGHLY recommend Gilbert. Oh and he called me back in less than 2 minutes of me leaving a voicemail. Very responsive. Thank you Gilbert!
Gilbert is as good as it gets. The kind of service professional that is hard to find these days. Honest, knowledgeable, professional, pays attention to detail, and makes customer service his top priority. He is in such demand that he can't take near all the jobs that come through to him but I've worked with another plumber he referred me to in the past and with him today and was thoroughly impressed both times.
Gilbert came out to give me a free quote on switching from a tankless to a tank water heater. He was very prompt and gave me a courtesy call to let me know he was coming. I requested a quote Monday night and Tuesday morning Gilbert J (the owner) was at my door smelling good and ready to rock n roll. The communication with this company is excellent, along with their punctuality and professionalism. I suggest anyone reading, go break a bunch of pipes in your place so you could get these folks over to help you out.
Fast response. Good communication when on his way. Only took Gilbert a few minutes to do 4 or 5 things and all for a great price! I appreciated the quick response. Gilbert came out to access my hot water heater not working. Unfortunately it was leaking and he did not charge for the call since he was unable to come out for 2 weeks to replace it. I could not wait that long but he did offer 2 great referrals. Not sure why but scheduling a plumber has been super difficult for us. Folks have flaked, charged crazy amounts just for a quote, ghosted us, the list goes on. Gilbert was super responsive to every message, professional, prompt, and helped us figure out what we could do ourselves vs what he would do as a plumber. Even did a small repair free of charge since it took him all of five minutes and we already had the parts. It was a huge relief to realize we didn't need more extensive work done, and even better that Gilbert was honest and didn't charge us for work we didn't need. You never want to HAVE to call a plumber, but if we ever do Gilbert will be at the top of our list.

Gilbert is awesome and does work that he stands by. I have used him twice now, once for a basic tub/shower handle repair and once for a hot water heater replacement. Gilbert was always very responsive to questions and arrived on time. He even worked extra to ensure that the new hot water heater would meet the updated city code. Furthermore, he replaced some hose bibs for free because he noticed that my current configuration would cause corrosion over time. Great guy, great service! Would highly recommend Blue Dragon if you have any plumbing needs.

Love this service! I was wanting to install gas logs in my fireplace. Gilbert stopped by to see what needed to be done first and gave me some recommendations. I ordered the kit on Amazon, then he came back over for the install. It was up and working within the hour. So happy with it! And very reasonably priced work. Highly recommend.
Had Gilbert out to remove my kitchen sink and replace it with a new one. He is a total pro. He worked quickly but with attention to detail. I had the hardest time finding someone who would take a job this small and not try to jack up the price. I'm glad I kept searching because Gilbert is now my go to plumber.

I was having a problem with a sink and a toilet. Finding a good plumber is difficult enough, but finding a great one is easy, BLUE DRAGON!
I called Blue Dragon, and Gilbert picked up immediately. He asked about my problem, and said he could squeeze me in between a water heater replacement and his afternoon clients.
He gave me an approximate time for arrival and was right on time. Not only did he do a great job, but cleaned up after his work like it was his own home.
As an aside he is a consummate gentleman, and someone I would recommend to anyone looking for a plumber.

We've got recommendation for Gilbert in our Nextdoor app, and we love him! Every time I called, he responded immediately. He always called before his arrival. He did a great job in installing a chair-high commode for us. He is very detail-oriented, super efficient, and also very friendly. Recently, he fixed our bathroom sink faucet due to a clogged aerator, and he didn't even charge us, stating that was too quick and easy. We are very impressed by his professionalism. I know he has a busy schedules, but I still highly recommend him, not just for his excellent skills, but mainly for his integrity and honesty.

I had a plumbing issue at my home. After receiving a quote over the telephone Andrew was out to my place within 3 hrs. It only took him 10 min. to resolve the issue. He was very professional. It's not everywhere you get same day service, especially on the weekend.
Gilbert/Blue Dragon is the best! We called on a Saturday afternoon (from yelp reviews) with a leaking 20 year old water heater. He was too booked to come out, but recommended another plumber after answering our distress call himself. We reached another plumber faster than his recommended guy, then reverted back to Gilbert for advice (many emails!!) when that plumber let us down. He gave us the BEST price quote, but could not install for a week (booked) & understood we had to get it done before holiday family guests arrived-needed hot water in the winter! He basically counseled me for free to a great size/brand/type water heater solution over 4 days of emails! I will ABSOLUTELY call him first on any plumbing need we ever have! Thank you, Gilbert!! I am WOWED.
A second 5-star experience with Gilbert. I had a water heater break and leak at one of my rental properties and was quoted $1800 by a local all-in-one company that could do emergency repairs. I remembered about Blue Dragon and so I gave him a call - it turned out he had some availability. He quoted me ~$1200, which was way better than $1800, but the kicker was that the final total was $700. He's an awesome, honest, and I would hire him again in a heart-beat.
Our previous plumber went down in quality and service drastically, so I had to find a new one. I noticed Blue Dragon had amazing reviews on Yelp and elsewhere, so I called a few months ago for a Shower problem. Gilbert was booked weeks out, so he gave me his best backup plumber's information.
Yes, he gave me a competitor's information! That shows me that he is more concerned about getting my issue fixed than just making money for himself. The plumber he referred me to did an amazing job and I was satisfied.
Fast forward to today, I have two sinks that are not draining. I couldn't reach the plumber he referred me to last time, so I called Gilbert again. Sadly, he was booked, but again he gave me the hookup to two businesses he trusts to do a good job. I called the first and have an appt. today without any hassle.
This is the first time I have ever given someone a max review for NOT being able to help me! I am simply amazed that Gilbert and Blue Dragon would rather help someone than just make money. Not once, but twice! I don't want to wish another plumbing issue on myself, but if it happens, I will be calling Gilbert and Blue Dragon first.
Gilbert got to my house and knocked out three small plumbing projects in 90 minutes. He even told me a few ways to do a couple of things myself to save some money. I highly reccomend Blue Dragon!
None of our toilets were flushing. I called Gilbert and he was out with-in the hour. Unclogged the line with a smile and super friendly attitude. I had a plumbing question about our master tub and he happily took a look and gave his opinion.

Gilbert and Andrew are phenominal. I had a faucet in my bathroom that started leaking last night. After turning it off and on it quit leaking. It was less than a year old so I was concerned that it would start doing it again.
Andrew came over and looked at it. He explained that it was more than likely a piece of calcium that got stuck in the cartriage and by turning it off and on I dislodged it. He said that he would take a picture of the faucet and if it happened again he would be able to bring a new cartridge and fix it. He did not charge me for the diagnosis. Living through a remodel with every crook in Austin doing work for me I have finally found an honest company. They want to do a good job and are honest! What a combination. I was having a problem with a sink and a toilet. Finding a good plumber is difficult enough, but finding a great one is easy, BLUE DRAGON!
I called Blue Dragon, and Gilbert picked up immediately. He asked about my problem, and said he could squeeze me in between a water heater replacement and his afternoon clients.
He gave me an approximate time for arrival and was right on time. Not only did he do a great job, but cleaned up after his work like it was his own home.
As an aside he is a consummate gentleman, and someone I would recommend to anyone looking for a plumber.

We've got recommendation for Gilbert in our Nextdoor app, and we love him! Every time I called, he responded immediately. He always called before his arrival. He did a great job in installing a chair-high commode for us. He is very detail-oriented, super efficient, and also very friendly. Recently, he fixed our bathroom sink faucet due to a clogged aerator, and he didn't even charge us, stating that was too quick and easy. We are very impressed by his professionalism. I know he has a busy schedules, but I still highly recommend him, not just for his excellent skills, but mainly for his integrity and honesty.

I had a plumbing issue at my home. After receiving a quote over the telephone Andrew was out to my place within 3 hrs. It only took him 10 min. to resolve the issue. He was very professional. It's not everywhere you get same day service, especially on the weekend.
Gilbert/Blue Dragon is the best! We called on a Saturday afternoon (from yelp reviews) with a leaking 20 year old water heater. He was too booked to come out, but recommended another plumber after answering our distress call himself. We reached another plumber faster than his recommended guy, then reverted back to Gilbert for advice (many emails!!) when that plumber let us down. He gave us the BEST price quote, but could not install for a week (booked) & understood we had to get it done before holiday family guests arrived-needed hot water in the winter! He basically counseled me for free to a great size/brand/type water heater solution over 4 days of emails! I will ABSOLUTELY call him first on any plumbing need we ever have! Thank you, Gilbert!! I am WOWED.
A second 5-star experience with Gilbert. I had a water heater break and leak at one of my rental properties and was quoted $1800 by a local all-in-one company that could do emergency repairs. I remembered about Blue Dragon and so I gave him a call - it turned out he had some availability. He quoted me ~$1200, which was way better than $1800, but the kicker was that the final total was $700. He's an awesome, honest, and I would hire him again in a heart-beat.
Our previous plumber went down in quality and service drastically, so I had to find a new one. I noticed Blue Dragon had amazing reviews on Yelp and elsewhere, so I called a few months ago for a Shower problem. Gilbert was booked weeks out, so he gave me his best backup plumber's information.
Yes, he gave me a competitor's information! That shows me that he is more concerned about getting my issue fixed than just making money for himself. The plumber he referred me to did an amazing job and I was satisfied.
Fast forward to today, I have two sinks that are not draining. I couldn't reach the plumber he referred me to last time, so I called Gilbert again. Sadly, he was booked, but again he gave me the hookup to two businesses he trusts to do a good job. I called the first and have an appt. today without any hassle.
This is the first time I have ever given someone a max review for NOT being able to help me! I am simply amazed that Gilbert and Blue Dragon would rather help someone than just make money. Not once, but twice! I don't want to wish another plumbing issue on myself, but if it happens, I will be calling Gilbert and Blue Dragon first.
Gilbert got to my house and knocked out three small plumbing projects in 90 minutes. He even told me a few ways to do a couple of things myself to save some money. I highly reccomend Blue Dragon!
None of our toilets were flushing. I called Gilbert and he was out with-in the hour. Unclogged the line with a smile and super friendly attitude. I had a plumbing question about our master tub and he happily took a look and gave his opinion.

Gilbert is a true professional who enjoys his customers, takes pride in his work and does a fantastic job. He replaced 2 water heaters for us that passed city inspection with flying colors. He does small jobs too and is just as helpful even when the fees are smaller. I won't call another plumber...Gilbert rocks.

Gilbert and Andrew are phenominal. I had a faucet in my bathroom that started leaking last night. After turning it off and on it quit leaking. It was less than a year old so I was concerned that it would start doing it again.
Andrew came over and looked at it. He explained that it was more than likely a piece of calcium that got stuck in the cartriage and by turning it off and on I dislodged it. He said that he would take a picture of the faucet and if it happened again he would be able to bring a new cartridge and fix it. He did not charge me for the diagnosis. Living through a remodel with every crook in Austin doing work for me I have finally found an honest company. They want to do a good job and are honest! What a combination. No more getting referals from friends. Yelp is the way to go. Andrew and Gilbert live up to their Yelp reviews!

Gilbert is awesome, very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. Or garbage disposal clogged up 2 hrs before we were scheduled to fly to Montreal and he took care of it in no time! Definitely saved or travel plans and disposal. Just recently had him out again to replace a leaky sink basket was just as happy with his work! Our go to plumber!
I called another plumber to come out and take a look. It just required some tightening. Luckily he didn't charge me.
This whole situation could have been avoided if Gilbert wasn't so defensive and rude. For the record, he did not offer to send anyone out. Me: it wasn't leaking before
Gilbert: We didn't do any work inside the walls. I'm not going to honor that.
Me: So I should take my business elsewhere?
Gilbert: Yes
Update: At no time did he offer to send anyone out let alone show up himself. It makes no sense for me to refuse that offer. I did hang up in frustration due to his rudeness.

Call these guys. Professional and responsive. Not only were they transparent about the fees upfront but Matt came in and immediately identified the issue and quickly resolved.
Gilbert is awesome. I had a sprinkler repair guy tell me my pressure reducer valve was failing and needed to be replaced. I call Gilbert late last week, we make an appointment to have him come out Sunday morning. Any extra charge for coming out on a Sunday, I ask? Nope. Normal fees. So he comes out, tests the prv and says it's working fine, no issue and doesn't need to be replaced. That just saved me $500-$1000. So I ask him what I owe him for coming out to test it, he was here for almost 30 minutes. Answer: nothing. He wouldn't accept anything. I told him I should pay him something for his time, he wouldn't hear of it.
I can tell you this, next time I need a plumber, Gilbert is my first call, no doubt about it.
Highly recommend Gilbert and his company. Honest hard working man. Great service. I even recommend him to my own customers that my handyman company service. Wonderful company.

I wanted to replace a kitchen sink, faucet, and garbage disposal. Gilbert responded very promptly and scheduled time in within the week. Matt came out to do the replacement and was very efficient with his work - the entire removal and installation project took 2 hours to complete. They were able to quickly respond to our follow-up questions, as well. Everything looks great with no foreseeable problems.

Great jobs!
Gilbert came in a few days ago to update a few things in the kitchen. He also managed to repair a leak that we had given up on because so many other plumbers had worked on it. Amazing!
All this while being on time, informative, quick and very courteous.
A pleasure to work with! Will certainly call on him again whenever necessary.
HOW RUDE!! What an absolute jerk!! I'd like to leave stronger words but I'm not like that.
The following lasted less than 30 seconds on the phone. I called to ask about availability to get an estimate on the water heater pressure relief valve in a house we're inspecting buy. I was rudely cut off and told that I needed to send as many pics and angles of the water heater for an estimate. He cut me off again when I said I asked if could simply explain the prob and send my house inspectors photos and description. He further refused to discuss this with me and that he's a week and a half booked out.
I've called 3 other plumbers and they were kind, willing to listen, and reasonably explained their process of writing an estimate with their schedule and availability. This guy cut me off mid sentence twice. No matter how busy you are, or have a policy in place, you don't rudely just say NO and cut off a potential customer.
I'm super duper handy. I have a zillion power tools. I can tape and float drywall, screen in a porch, install a ceiling fan, replace doors, bring home the bacon AND fry that bitch up in a pan. What I can't do is plumbing. So when my kitchen sink started channeling The Exorcist, I looked to Yelp for guidance. Enter Gilbert and Blue Dragon Plumbing.
Gilbert answered on the second ring, and, after asking for a description of the problem, was at my house within 30 minutes. He spent a good hour wrestling with my clogged pipes, finally clearing a clog almost at the street. He was clean, efficient, timely, and reasonable, and now I can wash dishes with abandon. Thanks, Blue Dragon, for making everything ok again!

Fantastic service from the initial contact to completion of job! When I initially contacted him he was booked.. of course.. but he referred me to another quality plumber. Soon after he contacted me and said a spot opened up! Gilbert called before to let me know he was on the way and while on site he worked quickly and efficiently and answered any and all questions. Great guy all the way around. Definitely would recommended him to anyone in need of a master plumber.
Best plumber I'd ever had the pleasure of working with. I called Gilbert out to fix my sink and dishwasher that kept backing up every so often. I'd had other plumbers out to look at it, and the did a couple of things, declared it fixed, and then left.
After about a half day, the problem would start up again.
Gilbert found the actual problem and fixed it in about 45 minutes.
The hardest trade to find in Austin is a good plumber. I read the Yelp reviews and called Gilbert this morning to come investigate a loud noise we had when we flushed the toilet in our guest bath. I was thinking the worst. Gilbert was fantastic. He came within hours of my call, knew exactly what the problem was, installed a new part in the tank and left me a happy camper all in about 30 minutes.
I'm a Realtor, and a very picky one. I have tried plumber after plumber in hopes of finding someone that I could depend on and recommend. FINALLY! I have found a reliable resource. Thank you, Gilbert! You will be hearing from us again.
Are you wondering why a PLUMBER has almost 300 5 star Yelp reviews? That's more than a lot of busy restaurants in town. Blue Dragon are super customer service friendly. I submitted a bid request to Blue Dragon through Yelp. Gilbert the owner contacted me very quickly with a great quote that was better than we were hoping for. He also took some time to explain related issues that we weren't aware of, which may have saved us up to $2000. In the end, we opted not to perform the work we had inquired about, but I certainly wouldn't hesitate to call Gilbert for any future repairs. Thanks Gilbert.

Very professional and quick! Spoke to Gilbert on the phone and made an appointment for Matt to come the very next day. Matt installed a garbage disposal, fixed a leak and unclogged a drain all within the hour. Super happy with Blue Dragon Plumbing!
I called Gilbert to fix the low water pressure in my home. he was very responsive and he shows up in less than 24 hours. He was planning to change the pressure control valve. He called the water company and do all necessary checks to be sure that what he will do is really needed.
He found out that one of our neighbors manually shutdown our control valve. He consider this as a site survey and did not take any money

Andrew came by and ended up installing a newer toilet in one of my bathrooms. I was very happy with his honest assessment and efficient work. I have had two toilets need repairs over the last 6 weeks and Gilbert was timely, efficient and friendly! Both times I emailed and received a phone call in less than 30 min. Gilbert is very easy to talk to. He knew what the issue was and had the parts on hand in both cases. I so appreciate someone that I can trust and will continue to use his services. I did not use Blue Dragon only because they were not available for a week. And I see why. I sent out a estimate blast and they responded to me very quickly. They could not get to me, but sent me a referral of someone who might be able to help. I'm SUPER big customer service, and even though I didn't receive their services, I received GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
After the city dug up our street to replace a water main we had much lower water pressure. The city's attitude was 'too bad so sad'.
I called Blue Dragon, and feared a very expensive repair would be required.
Andrew from Blue Dragon came out to work the problem. He was pleasant, articulate, and clearly competent.
He did some kind of flushing of some of the water lines, replaced a clogged toilet mechanism, and cleaned the filters on several sink faucets.
In less than an hour and at a very reasonable charge we had water pressure again!!
I was very pleased and will use Blue Dragon again the next time I need a plumber.

Several of our neighbors reported water heater leaks in their attics. Since they were the same model, vintage and builders I figured it would be best to just get ahead of it while I wasn't under pressure. I reached out to get several quotes. Blue Dragon was able to perform a virtual site survey by trusting me to send all the pictures and measurements needed for Gilbert to know what he was getting into. The price was very competitive relative and the workmanship was good. I'm glad I went with Blue Dragon and they should be on your short list for getting a quote for your project.
We went to Blue Dragon after having a pretty terrible experience with Radiant.
Gilbert was extremely nice and was able to fix our leak quickly. He even educated my wife and I on how to prevent this in the future, leaving us a tool that would help us out.
All of the five star reviews here are no lie, Blue Dragon has earned every one.
Highly experienced professional offering candid recommendations at a fair price. If you're doing any plumbing work on your home, it's worth a call to Gilbert. He's busy because he's good.

I decided to give Gilbert a call based on these Yelp ratings. My experience was with Blue Dragon was excellent! Gilbert is extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable about his trade. His prices are also extremely reasonable. The only downside is that because of this, he seems to stay pretty booked up. However, he really tries to get to you as quickly as possible and if you need faster service, he gladly offers referrals to other plumbers he recommends.
If I could give Gilbert more stars, I would! All I needed was a plumber who confidently diagnoses the problem, successfully addresses the problem in a timely manner, and is reasonably priced. He diagnosed the problem over the phone, scheduled me in within a couple hours and saved me some stress and money. Gilbert exceeded my expectations and is more than a professional! Although my issues weren't too demanding, I was thinking that I wouldn't be able to turn my water main on for a few days, but he saved the day with how quickly he got it done. On top of it all Gilbert is a very personable, knowledgeable and honest human being! What a pleasure to have met him!

You can see why Gilbert has so many great reviews - he did a great job on a garbage disposal for me a couple of years ago so when one of my faucets started making a rumbling noise I called him and held the phone next to the faucet. He told me to open all the valves all the way and presto - no more noise. When I asked him how much I owed him he said nothing ( i sent him a gift card).

I may need to have my man-card partially revoked. After vowing to change out the kitchen sink fixture myself, and not doing so for more than a year, the wife rightfully called me out on it. I searched Yelp of course and luckily found Blue Dragon with their stellar and subsequently well-deserved reviews.
I called Gilbert, and made an appointment for the following day. A very friendly and professional gentleman named John showed up, changed the kitchen sink fixtures, replaced my dying disposal with a unit I purchased at Lowes, AND replaced a new outside faucet. The work was done quickly, and done well.
Two months and a toilet that never stopped running later, Blue Dragon John shows up and fixed it within minutes. These guys are great and I see no reason to use anyone else as long as they're in business.

Gilbert does amazing work and is super fast. I had him replace a bent outdoor spigot and hose bib. He cut just enough drywall to do a very clean job. He also recommended John Borsi (I Love My Handyman) who did a flawless drywall repair and texture. Both gentlemen were fantastic craftsmen and all around great guys. There's a big difference between your average plumber and handyman, and folks like Gilbert and John who take pride in their work. Excellent communication, awesome results, and attention to detail.
Gilbert came out and fixed my toilet which had a faulty flush valve in less than 10 minutes! He's super positive, great energy, and was extremely efficient. I'm so glad to have found a good plumber in Austin finally.
Gilbert did a great job from start to finish with my small plumbing job. After reaching out, he got back to me quickly and got me on his schedule, answered a couple of questions I had before coming out, and explained his cost structure. Gilbert is amazing.
Our water pressure had been slowly getting weaker for years. After having the water company come out, they told us the pressure at the street was 100psi, but at our house was 40psi. They said we needed a plumber to check the PRV (pressure release valve). After reading the amazing reviews BDP had on Yelp, we emailed Gilbert through the site, made an appointment, he came out, and voila. 2.5 hours later we have better water pressure than we knew we ever could have.
In the words of my husband, We should've called him years ago.

In a world where it is difficult at best to find an honest, affordable and reputable repair company, along comes Blue Dragon Plumbing and the well-deserved 5-star reviews on Yelp.
In the midst of a home improvement project on Sunday afternoon to replace several bathroom faucets, one of the shutoff valves sprung a leak and needed to be fixed. I had to turn the water to our house off until the valve was repaired. I called several other emergency plumbing services and then Blue Dragon Plumbing. Gilbert answered the phone immediately, explained his pricing (no emergency/weekend extra charges!) and said he would call me back when he finished the job he was on. About 30 minutes later he called me to tell me he was on the way to my house. He arrived within an hour of my initial call - on a Sunday afternoon!
I could tell immediately that Gilbert knew what he was doing. He was also very friendly and interacted with my son while he was working to repair the shutoff valves.
I used Gilbert again a few days later for some additional work. He called me a few hours before our scheduled appointment to let me know he was running early and was on his way. Who does that? Needless to say he showed up 90 minutes early and worked quickly to address my issues. He also pointed out what the original builder had done wrong with our plumbing and installed things properly to ensure no further leaks were encountered.
It takes a lot to give a company five stars. Blue Dragon fully deserves it.
I hope Gilbert gets some help soon as he is booked days and weeks in advance. Great service will only make him busier as more people find out about him and his excellent service.

Gilbert Jimenez who own Blue Dragon Plumbing is amazing. So happy he was recommended to us! He's super responsive and knowledgeable. No sales pitches or pushing upgrades. So glad we found a skilled trustworthy plumber we can depend on when needed.
AMAZING!!!!!! Best Plumber I have ever met! :D He fixed our flooding bathroom that put about 1 in of water over the whole kitchen, it was a crazy night haha!
Gilbert came at 9pm and spent over an hour making sure that our bathroom was fixed right!!!! He is very focused on customer service and satisfaction. We will definitely always call him for all our Plumbing needs!

I wish other plumbers would study Gilbert to see what a good plumber is like. He was at our house for about 2.5 hours, took care of about 5 nagging plumbing tasks, and he was working his tail off the entire time. One thing I didn't know before he got here was that he works on a (mostly) hourly rate. You would think that working at an hourly rate would encourage him to move slowly, but that was definitely not the case! The previous plumber we used came out and gave us a free estimate for repairs, without any kind of hourly rate, but the cost of the repairs was outrageous.
He also did almost all the work by welding with copper pipes, which I've heard is the gold standard with plumbing jobs. A lot of guys use cheap PBC pipe instead, which lasts no where near as long.
He really seemed to enjoy his work as well, which I think really shines through in his work ethic (he told me he worked 11 hours on his birthday) and work quality.
Only disadvantage with Gilbert is that he's so good that he's booked up! But it's worth the wait, especially if you want quality work for much lower prices.
One thing to note: when you call him, he uses a bluetooth headset to take calls while he's working! I was amazed how many phone calls he got, but it didn't seem to slow him down much. I was also impressed how many referrals he gave to people, since he is so booked up, and he had every phone number memorized. Anyways, if you call and he sounds like he's working on stuff, he probably is.
I had an excellent experience with Blue Dragon Plumbing. Gilbert came out and was on time, very friendly and reassuring, and got the work done with no time wasted. He's got a great sense of humor too which made the whole experience better. I hadno doubts he knew exactly what he was doing. Highly recommend this company!!

These guys are awesome. I posted a service request at 10:30 at night for a gas leak in my stove. They responded first thing next morning and were at my house by 10:00. Gilbert was friendly, very knowledgeable, explained each step as he was taking it. He was quick but thorough. The whole experience just made my day. Will ALWAYS use these guys in the future.

My wife and I recently encountered a leak on our newly remodeled shower plumbing. John came out and quickly and expertly fixed the leak. Out of kindness, he took a look at the shower valve b/c it was pretty tight. A couple of days after the adjustments were made on the valve, we noticed a drip. We wrote Gilbert an email and the very next day he showed up, took the valve apart, went to his supplier in the middle of a storm to pick up a part, replaced it, and didn't charge for any of the labor or parts. My hat goes off to Gilbert and his crew for his top notch customer service and ethics

What a pro!! Gilbert responded to our emergency call, and though he couldn't help us out that day, he gave us a list of references to other plumbers we could call upon. When they couldn't help either, we went back to Gilbert and he made time for us on his weekend- which was completely kind and considerate of him.
He showed up, got right to work, and fixed our broken kitchen sink/disposal in minutes, all while laughing it up with my husband and just being a generally very good guy. I would call on Gilbert in a heart beat any time we need a plumber!!
Super fast response to my Yelp request for a quote. We had 3 items to be fixed: very slow stream from the shower, kitchen faucet leaking and leaky toilet.
When he called me he gave me great advice about the leaky kitchen faucet...it was about 7 years old and he told us it would probably be cheaper to replace the faucet than have them diagnose the problem and go buy the parts...great suggestion.
In the 20 years we've been in Austin, we have yet to find a consistent plumber. We're Blue Dragon customers from now on...

My husband and I are usually do everything ourselves but we just bought a house. When the guest bathroom suddenly wouldn't do anything but scald our guests, we figured we would call an expert and so took to Yelp. After all the positive recommendations for Blue Dragon and Gilbert, we decided to give him a call. He wasn't available for two weeks, but offered to give us some recommendations for plumbers who would be available. Since it wasn't an urgent need, I went ahead and scheduled with him.
When the appointment day rolled around, he called to let me know that he had finished early and wanted to know if I wanted him to come early (EARLY!!!!). I said yes and I was introduced to one of the nicest men, not just plumbers, I have ever met. He fixed the shower, was cordial, happy go-lucky and very, very good at his job. He even gave me some advice about other plumbing stuff, complimented our toilet replacement job and cleaned out the drain in the guest bathroom.
If we could give Gilbert and Blue Dragon more than 5 stars, I would in a heartbeat. He is wonderful and does an outstanding job!!!

I reached out to Blue Dragon for a faucet issue. They emailed back right away with valuable information about how to try to fix the issue on my own before hiring a plumber. They are awesome!
I am sometimes leery of so many 5 star reviews, but decided to Gilbert a try this morning as our main drain outside was backed up and I'm too busy to do anything about it. I called Gilbert and he was at my house in less than an hour, and took care of it right away.
As a small business owner I have seriously high expectations when it comes to service, and I'm typically let down. Gilbert runs his business the RIGHT way, with the primary focus on customer service and satisfaction. You can tell that the moment he gets out of his truck.
Forget the big name plumbing companies in Austin, I've used them and they've sucked royally. Gilbert is the man and my goto plumber from now on!
Gilbert and Matt are fantastic! We had another plumber do some work because the insurance company required we use a specific company. They didn't get a single thing right. After two unsuccessful visits and fighting with the insurance company we decided to pay for the repairs ourselves and get it done right. I called Gilbert at Blue Dragon on a Sunday afternoon to ask about a water heater, cuttoff valve, and pressure regulator valve replacement. I was able to send him pictures of all work items by email for a bid. Less than 24 hours later, I was signing my name on the receipt. I had gotten estimates from a few other plumbers but none of those places talked about items that were required to be up to code, how to prolong my new water heater's life span, or why it was a good idea to pay literally a few extra dollars for better pipes. Gilbert paid me the compliment of being honest and I can't think of a better place with which to do business.

I called Gilbert because our office disposal was on the fritz and we thought was completely broken. I found Gilbert and Blue Dragon by searching Yelp. Hard to argue with 5 stars after that many reviews.
He was booked solid when I called, obviously in high demand. He offered to recommend somebody else for the job cause he was so busy (who does that anymore??). Good for me, I wasn't in dire straits and was able to wait for his next available appointment.
Gilbert was professional, honest and awesome. Arrived when he said he would, walked me thru the job and the billing.
Now here's the kicker. He charged me LESS than he quoted me. At the end of the job he sat me down and told me the job wasn't the bear he thought it would be from the pictures I sent him, so he knocked a chunk off the price. Once again, who does that??
Turns out the answer is Gilbert from Blue Dragon Plumbing.
I wouldn't use any one else.

I've been using Yelp for quite some time, but never been compelled to write a review until having Blue Dragon come to my house. I was replacing toilet and found a completely busted toilet flange in my concrete slab. Flange was broken to the point of needing to replace the entire flange not add a flange fixing device on top. Gilbert from Blue Dragon was able to come by on short notice and service the project in one hour for under $200. I had received phone quotes from other well rated plumbers on Yelp for $360 and $500.
Gilbert's also probably the friendliest tradesman I've ever had in my home and would gladly welcome him for future plumbing projects.

Gilbert is as good as it gets for a plumber. He takes his work very seriously and does the job right. He goes out of his way to get you the best price too. We have been working with him since 2014. He has installed 2 water heaters- the second one he had to make slight modifications with the new regulations on water heaters (no prob). We had a gas leak scare last week - he came and made the repair the same day (on the weekend)!! and didn't mention cost. We highly recommend Blue Dragon- he will do it right and treat you like family.

If you want quality, competitive prices, and fast, friendly service you want to hire Blue Dragon. I needed 2 toilets serviced. New tank bolts and a new 1/4 turn cutoff valve on one. A new flange and flange bolts on the other. Requesting bids via Yelp rocks. Gilbert responded quickly and his pricing was fair and his billing and scheduling process was up front, clear, and easy to grasp. True to his word he called in advance of showing up and he showed up on time. He did all that work in an hour. It would have taken me all day. He had all his parts, tools, and stuff needed to avoid making a mess all with him. He moved through each job so fast i actually missed his putting in the new valve and I was standing right there to watch and learn and lend a hand if needed. He's a plumbing ninja. Gilbert was too busy to get to my job in the short time frame I needed, but he answered the phone immediately and gave me two other plumber referrals, which was awesome. We're selling our house and the inspection came back with an item we agreed to take care of - the hot & cold lines in a bathtub were reversed. Because of the great reviews, I called Gilbert. He was really nice, asked what kind of faucet it was and brand. He then told me it wasn't a difficult fix and told me how to do it.
I told my husband and he wasn't comfortable doing the work. And we thought our buyers would appreciate it being done by a professional (and correctly) so I called Gilbert back and asked when he might be able to come do it. I felt bad because it seemed like a silly job for him to have to waste time to come out for. But he was so nice. He was on a job in Round Rock and said he'd stop by (I live in Cedar Park) when he was finished. Within 2 hours he was at my house.
He began working and realized there was a bit more involved than first thought but he still had it corrected within 30 minutes. The price was very reasonable.

I am totally amazed! When my garbage disposal went out a week and a half ago, I bought a different model and decided I'd rather pay someone who knows what they're doing to come swap them out for me, especially since I was worried the pipes might not line up correctly. I first tried a company my neighbor recommended, but after a week and three attempts at rescheduling I gave Blue Dragon a call instead. (Not naming the other company because I've got nothing against them, emergencies do come up and I absolutely get that; broken garbage disposals are annoying but not as urgent.)
Anyway, Gilbert picked up right away, had me text pictures of what I was worried about, called me right back to let me know he could handle it & even happened to be near enough to come over that morning. He was fast, fair, knew what he was doing and charged exactly what he said he would, and even gave me his opinion on another small plumbing issue I was wondering about (including a cheaper way to fix it).
Seriously, it was less than two hours from my first call to him and waving goodbye with the problem solved. I can't praise him highly enough!
I had a major water leak at my house, and for the life of me could NOT figure out where in the world this leak was coming from. I had used three previous plumbing companies to try and find it, with no luck. Then Gilbert came along and it was a beautiful thing to see. He came to the house, on a mission to knock out the problem. He had to dig in the ground to find the water line and it was a very difficult job that took a lot of work. Finally, Gilbert found it, he explained that the pipe work originally done by the people who built the home had been done incorrect. Gilbert installed a swing joint and patched it right up.
What is awesome about Gilbert is that he is just wonderful guy, he takes the time to not only do the job correctly, he takes time out of his busy day to explain what he is doing. I'm the kind of person, I like to learn about what is happening (in case it happens again,) so that I can speak the language and be able to communicate. After spending a considerable amount of time trying to find the right plumber, I was referred to Gilbert. I am so grateful that I was. He is one of those rare folks you meet who you not enjoy having help you with your plumbing problems, but you just enjoy their company because they're such good people. Gilbert is that and more! He's a family man, he is extremely professional, knowledgeable and funny as hell. He also gave me a GREAT quote on a job to replace my water heater. I will be using Gilbert from now on, I suggest you do the same. All I can say is, Blue Dragon Plumbing is one of the best investments I have ever made. Gilbert rocks!

Just another review to confirm that Gilbert is a person that knows what he is doing and can be relied on. I had him over yesterday to replace a toilet that I had discussed with him by phone. He picked up the toilet that I had paid for and came prepared to replace it. However, upon removing the existing toilet he told me that it did not need to be replaced. Then he pulled out one of the biggest roots that I have ever seen from the drain pipe. He said that previous plumbers should have found it but he was very familar with that problem because of his experience. He replaced the existing toilet with a new wax ring and it seems to be working fine. Highly recommend him as a very knowledgeable and reasonable person.

I called these guys to tune up three toilets that wouldn't quit running. The gent who showed up quickly diagnosed the problem and got right to work.
The only issue I have was NOT being told they charge a half hour for travel time. I don't mind paying going labor rates for skilled work; but I DO mind being charged for travel time.
Gilbert, the owner and I exchanged emails about this a few times. He explained the different rates for time exceeding an hour. My bottom line was, I don't care how you slice it, I paid for 1.75 hrs for 1.25 hrs of work This little bit of info should have been shared UP FRONT, not when presented with the invoice.
Other than that, everything was fine.

I stumbled upon a water leak in my kitchen this past Mon evening. The shutoff valve to my house was broken preventing me from turning off the water and preventing any further water damage from the leak. I got in touch with Gilbert and he was able to squeeze me into his booked calendar the following morning to address my issues.
Gilbert quickly and professionally fixed my broken shutoff valve and water leak in the kitchen. He also replaced a broken outdoor faucet attached to my house. The completed work was excellent and his pricing was extremely reasonable.
This is the second time i've used Gilbert for a plumbing issue (the 1st was a broken water heater circulating pump back in Jan'13) and he's been great on both occasion. I HIGHLY recommend Gilbert for any plumbing issues you need resolved!!!

I had a split in my water line in my front yard and called Gilbert around 3:00pm on the Friday after Thanksgiving based on the numerous recommendations here and was glad I did. He wasn't able to send someone out that day (very understandable) but did so the next afternoon.
The technician ended up running about 2 hours late because of a problem at a previous job but warned me in advance of our appointment time so I was able to be productive that afternoon. When he arrived he quickly spliced the water line but ended up having some issues making it water tight because of the condition of the line. He did eventually got the line fixed and very kindly only charged me for an hour of labor because the job took much longer than usual. Plus, he helped deal with a flow issue with my kitchen sink after the water that wasn't there previously came back on at no additional charge.
Both Gilbert and his technician were professional, kind and easy to deal with. I felt very satisfied with the price as well.
When my water heater went out I called Blue Dragon Plumbing based on the reviews. However, since they were very busy the week I called, they would not be able to come out until the following week. Without hesitation, they provided 2 recommendations for other plumbers that would be able to help me out. What a great business! I can see why now they are so highly recommended on yelp.

I was trying to replace my toilet by myself and ran into an issue where I felt stuck. Johnny from Blue Dragon Plumbing came out within a few hours on late notice and was a huge help.
When I initially called I spoke with Gilbert who asked that I send a short note with the problem. I was surprised he was able to confirm he received my mail and would have someone out only 4 minutes after I sent my first email.

Since this we used Gilbert one last time as we sold the house, he fixed a hose outlet in the backyard that had leaked visibly into the cement below. As he fixed the pipe, the old setting fell apart. We were lietrally days away from a flooded livingroom. Once again Gilbert and his new plumber with him to the rescue.
Now if he'd only make husecalls to Portland, OR... ;)

I felt compelled to give Gilbert a shot based on his outstanding reputation, and indeed, he does it great justice. He diagnosed and fully repaired three toilets in my home which had been developing various issues and costing me exorbitant utility fees and minor leak frustrations. We also discussed an ongoing issue with low water pressure inside my home on which I intend to follow up soon, and I'm certain that Blue Dragon Plumbing is the company for the job despite his generous offer for me to shop around.
The total cost of the job came in near the estimate and the components of the bill were reasonable and well justified. He was in touch via cell phone the day of service, showed up on time, and stopped the work clock when he had to leave for a short time to get some parts. He works quickly and efficiently, but not without great character.
He does seem to be fairly booked at the moment - we had to schedule a week out from my initial call. He was training a new employee named John on the day of my service, who was also professional and seemed ready to uphold the Blue Dragon name and quality standards. Hopefully this trend will continue and Austin will have ready access to a fleet of honest and skilled plumbers who share Gilbert's passion for helping people to stay clean and hydrated.

I'm not a Do It Yourselfer, so I really don't know why I tried this, but I went and bought one of those plumbing snakes at home depot. Yeah, that didn't work out for me and it scratched the **** out of the ceramic in my toilet. It was then that I took to Yelp to find a pro. Blue Dragon showed up quickly in my search and I trust other Yelpers' opinions for the most part (please don't rate a great restaurant a 1 star when you say they had great food but the bathroom was dirty). Called to get a second opinion after the 1st plumber gave me an estimate of $450 to fix a bath/shower fixture.
I described the problem over the phone, and he convinced me that I could do the work myself. Wow - an honest plumber!!!
I went to Home Depot, bought two tools and a replacement cartridge for a total of $40. It took me about 15 minutes. I can't believe it!

It's always hit or miss when you call a new plumber. Is the guy gonna be fair and honest, or is he gonna gouge you? Is he gonna do quality work, or a shoddy job? Is he gonna be condescending and cranky, or friendly and informative? The fact that we're often apprehensive about hiring a new plumber is testament to how hard it is to find somebody you're really comfortable with. You never know who's gonna show up.
Gilbert Jimenez is the guy you always hope for and rarely get.
I called Gilbert at 9am on a Sunday morning for help with a bad leak from a bad spigot in the front yard. By the way, this wasn't any Sunday; it was the Sunday before Labor Day. A holiday weekend, the last time any of us want to get up early and go to work.
Gilbert was at my house within 15 minutes.
He quickly assessed and repaired the problem, and stuck around to fix a couple of other things I'd been meaning to take care of. He was friendly, relaxed, and down-to-earth; he took the time to explain exactly what the problem was and exactly what he was going to do about it. His rate was reasonable and customary, and get this: he didn't charge me extra for coming out on a Sunday. I got the same rate I would have gotten on a regular business day.
Before Gilbert left, he gave me some very practical plumbing tips, and encouraged me to call him any time, day or night, if I needed his help again. I was almost sorry to see him go....I wouldn't have minded if he'd stuck around for a cup of coffee and a chat on the front porch.
I'll be using Blue Dragon exclusively from now on. Thanks Gilbert!

Gilbert is amazing! I discovered water leaking from my ceiling Sat night, saw great reviews of BDP on Yelp and thought I'd give him a try. Gilbert greatly exceeded my expectations!
Water leaks can be stressful but he put me at ease. After several tests Sat night we couldn't find the cause. Sun I woke up to water again and he came back out quickly. He then determined it was the AC unit.
He didn't charge me over-time for the Sat night call and didn't charge me at all for Sundays visit! (even after I insisted)
He has great rates, is fun to work with and very reliable (answers phone, calls back promptly, shows up when he says he will). He's been a plumber for over 30 years and has owned his own business for a year. I'll definitely call him again as I'd like to see his practice continue to grow.
I'm long overdue in writing this review but I want everyone to know that Gilbert and his company Blue Dragon Plumbing, are tops in my book. Gilbert installed a new water heater for us about 6 months ago. He showed up on time, worked quickly, and obviously knew his stuff. After the installation, he made sure the heater and tank were operating properly, and he explained the ins and outs of the unit - what we would need to know about how it works and what we'd need to do to maintain it. Of course, after 6 months, I had forgotten what he'd told me, so when I wanted to flush the tank, I needed his help. He responded to my email promptly (even though it was Sunday) and gave me step-by-step instructions over the phone. Needless to say, next time I need plumbing help, I'm calling Blue Dragon.

I hate being a home owner. Had I really thought about it, I would have elected to move into my car before taking on the responsibility of homeownership. My biggest fears being 1) electrical problems and 2) plumbing issues, but not in that order. Last night, had a disgusting situation of kitchen sink backing up from the dishwasher and the washing machine. Seriously, dis-gust-ing.
I went to Yelp first thing and found Blue Dragon. It had 70+ 5 star ratings, and I know why. He came out at 8:30 last night, got the job fixed, and didn't charge me any extra service fee for coming out after hours. He's as nice as the day is long and just a very smart business man. He knows that a good reputation is priceless to a small business owner and he really earned his. I hope I never need a plumber again, but if I do, I know who I'll call.
Gilbert is on time or early. An early plumber? Jesus may return any moment.
He did exactly what he said he would do, and cleaned up after himself. I am not lying.
The work was done to code and had no problems afterwards. He also alerted me to a problem (that another plumber missed last year), and saved me a future headache. Great job. (Ask him to tell you his story - pretty amazing dude.)

I used Yelp to contact Blue Dragon Plumbing over the weekend about a slow leak I had in the water line from the water meter. Water usage had nearly tripled in the last month according to the meter reading. Blue Dragon was the first to respond and also had the earliest proposed repair day. They sent Andrew out on Tuesday around 1:00. He diagnosed, demonstrated and fixed the problem (the irrigation company had taken a shortcut) in under two hours, between two thunderstorms and for about 25% less money than another company had estimated. I found Blue Dragon to be fast, courteous and effective. I would definitely call these guys again.

Called him, got the machine. Called me back in five minutes and apologized for missing the phone. Really?
Came over the same day, took one look at the horrible state the city had left my front yard (leak in the underground pipes) and the tiny little hole through the sidewalk he had to work with and told me there was almost no way he could even turn a wrench down there but...he'd try. In 100+ weather he worked with a tiny hole in the sidewalk and dropped a bucket of sweat in addition to the apparently 35,000 gallons of water (literally) I had lost from that leak in a month.
Dude is polite, hard working, personable and just exudes this sense of honor like he's some strange plumber samurai. And he got the job done.

Based upon other Yelp reviews I decided to call Blue Dragon Plumbing for an issue with one of my bathroom sinks. Gilbert answered the phone right away. He asked me a couple of questions and based upon my answers he told me to try something that might address the issue. I did what he recommended, and it solved the problem! Gilbert did not want to come out and charge me $200+ for a problem I could fix myself. I called him back and thanked him for his help. He told me where to get the part I need, and problem solved. I will definitely call Gilbert and Blue Dragon Plumbing when I need a plumber in the future, and I recommend that you do too!! Thank Gilbert for being so honest and saving me a lot of money.
Everyone has a plumbing horror story, myself included. Here is a fairy tale story instead...
I called Gilbert just before leaving for vacation because our water heater was no longer heating. He called me back several times to get information so he would be prepared when he came out. The first part did not work, so he had to schedule time to come back. Here is where it gets really good. He knew we were leaving for vacation, so he got with our friend who was watching our house while we were gone. I received a call while on vacation letting me know that my water heater was fixed and that I would be able to have a nice and relaxing shower when I got home. True to his word, the water was nice and warm and was a very welcome gift when we returned home after 2500 miles of driving in one week!
Gilbert is awesome and if you need plumbing work, you will not regret calling him. He puts all others to shame!
After reading all the great reviews here, I was real curious about Gilbert.
He repaired a stove valve for us that was broken off by installers. He did it quickly and at a fair price on the same day we called him.
Gilbert offers real service from his heart and he really enjoys educating his clients so they fully understand his work and their systems. He is kind and brings great energy into your house and I am so glad to find him. I'm sure we will do business with him again.

Busted sink faucet, drain stopped up, shower not working properly, garbage disposal broken, kitchen sink leaking... I'd let all these things go on way too long before calling Gilbert. And all of this was done super fast for WAY less than I expected to pay.
That they're also a major community supporter and member of the Austin Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce is a bonus!

My problem was a clogged garbage disposal. Gilbert fixed it quickly and explained what he was doing, so I could potentially handle it next time. Very reasonable prices, billing hourly with one hour minimum and 1/2h travel charge in Austin.
My go-to plumber for anything in the future.
I just have to give a huge shout out to Gilbert at Blue Dragon. He has replaced both my water heaters and most recently replaced my Pressure Relief Valve. He does great work, at a great price and most of all is a genuinely nice gentleman who has always been super responsive and helpful when I email him with plumbing questions. He gives me very thorough information and I appreciate him so much. You won't go wrong calling him for your plumbing needs.
Gilbert answered the phone right away, was able to stop by within 3-4 hours and did a great job of re-connecting our gas dryer, after I tried and it leaked. Professional, fast and ethical. Can't recommend him enough!

Gilbert was able to come by, fix my problem and did so in a rational and efficient manner. He worked quickly, and his rates were as he stated. I was very happy with his work.
I can't recommend Blue Dragon plumbing enough. I've spent a year without getting hot water in our tub, have had multiple plumbers assess the problem and was told that we would need to do this massive undertaking of boring a hole through our Sheetrock in the garage to HOPEFULLY find a manifold behind it- all of which would cost about $1500 for the plumbing alone and extra for the Sheetrock repair. Gilbert from Blue Dragon was able to diagnose and fix the problem in under an hour by simply removing some excess mixing lines for a little over $100. This is after he graciously agreed to move my appointment when I called him last minute. I finally get to use our bathtub!!! Could not be happier, thanks Blue Dragon!!!

On Yelp, even the best establishments usually only muster a 4 or 4-1/2 star rating. But Blue Dragon Plumbing has a 5 star rating, and it is soooooooo well deserved!
Gilbert is the best! I had a slow gas leak between the wall & my oven. I called him Friday night, and he was able to swing by and fix it Saturday afternoon. When Gilbert arrives, it more like a friendly neighbor giving you a hand. He is worth every penny spent, and treated us with honestly and with respect (which is unfortunately rare in the plumbing world).
My girlfriend and I consolidated households and turned her house into a rental. Gas company came out to turn on gas for renters and discovered a leak in the gas line. Had to move fast, so did my Yelp search and found Blue Dragon Plumbing, a fairly new company started by Gil Jimenez. Although Gil didn't have a lot of reviews yet, those that he had were very positive; my experience confirms the great reviews were warranted.
Gil came out that same day and inspected the gas lines. He quickly identified that the leak was in the new line put in for an outdoor grill and fireplace. He understood City of Austin code and process and quickly came to conclusion best bet was to temporarily cap off new line in order to get partial turn on certificate from City so renter could at minimum start taking warm showers again. He did the necessary work in short order and then went downtown to get required permits and approvals. Everything was done in a very professional manner. He had to come back the following day to check gas pressure and make additional code changes required by the city. As the first day required more hours than anticipated sitting in the permit office, he did not charge us any additional fees for his time on day two; this speaks volumes of the man's integrity and honesty.
Although this is a new company, Gil has been working in the field for many years. When you talk to him you can tell he has a great deal of knowledge and experience. In the future Blue Dragon Plumbing will be the first and hopefully only Plumber I deal with when problems arise.
Gilbert arrived promptly, was polite and worked quickly. He quickly assessed the situation and realized he wasn't able to fix my issue with the tools he had. So, he referred me to a service that could. In the end, he refunded the service charge for his trip out. Thanks Gilbert. That was an upstanding move.

I've utilized Gilbert's services twice and he is as good as it gets.
The first one was to install a high end faucet that I had purchased, he installed it no problems. He did this on extremely short notice and was able to get me in.
Second time I needed his services, my toilet decided it wanted to leak. He came by, changed out some stuff, everything seemed fine. Later that same day, the leak decided to rear it's ugly head again. I contacted Gilbert again (mind you it was already 6:30 PM), without hesitation, he came back out that evening and fixed the issue once and for all. He did not charge me to come back out.
He is an expert at his craft, personable, and very fairly priced for the level of service you receive.
I would recommend Blue Dragon Plumbing without hesitation and will use him in the future as needs dictacte.

They just left my house and I am so glad that I called them.
My toilet started leaking from between the tank and the commode and after a trip to Home Depot and an hour and a half of frustration, I gave up. It was a ridiculously easy repair, but I didn't have the time and patience to troubleshoot it.
Gilbert and Mark arrived within 30 minutes of my initial call and were completely professional and very willing to help me with my malfunction. They were very quick and explained to me what I had done wrong, and what they had done to fix it.
The charge was less than expected and totally fair. Sometimes it is so wonderful to just pay someone who has the skills and knowledge to do something right.
I will definitely call them and refer friends to them. I really appreciate that they were so nice about taking on my easy job.

Gilbert is MAGIC.
I'm typically stingy with my 5-star reviews, but Gilbert deserves EVERY SINGLE ONE (and more). He is MAGIC and he really knows his stuff. He just fixed major problems with BOTH my bathtubs AND ALL THREE toilets in less than 2 hours.
I wish I had called him A LOT sooner (instead of worrying for over a year why water spots were growing on my downstairs ceiling and dreading having to call a plumber). Call him. He really is as amazing as all the reviews say he is. (( :

I had a sink that wouldn't drain, and little did I know, the builders of my home never connected the sink to the draining pipe.
We had one of Blue Dragon's newer plumbers out to try to diagnose the problem, he spent an hour or two trying to find a clog but to no avail.
Gilbert came out on a Sunday to follow up and realized what the problem was after using his camera thingy. He was quick to fix it and wouldn't accept any more payment for his visit.
We found him incredibly friendly, generous, and kind, on top of being a skilled plumber and passionate business-owner.
We'll be using Blue Dragon for any future plumbing needs.
Outside backyard faucet was dripping, so I called this company, made an appointment. I needed a new faucet head, a 12 dollar part. Guy came out I showed him the faucet, he went to his truck, then to the backyard, came back through the house I said oh you forget something? He said no I'm done! Toolk all of 10 minutes, good job. Bad thing it cost me $170.00!!!! He never gave me a price, he just changed the faucet head and charged me a kings ransome. Way over priced! Will not use again....

I had a busted pipe on a Saturday evening. Called 4 different plumbers who advertised 24/7 service and either got the runaround or exorbitant quotes.
Then I called Blue Dragon. Gilbert answered right away and told me he could absolutely have someone out that night. Within about an hour, Bill Taylor arrived. He was super pleasant and friendly, very professional, and fixed everything up for me in short order.
Not only was Bill a pleasure to work with, the bill was very reasonable. Far better than anyone else had offered.
I have used several plumbers over the years and never had one that I was compelled to recommend until now. I've got Blue Dragon's magnet on my fridge now, and as far as I'm concerned, they're my plumbers.
Gilbert of Blue Dragon was right on time and worked fast, and helped me understand some other plumbing issues I need to address in the future. His rates are fair,especially for the excellent work he does. I plan to use him again on my next project.
They are super busy I think because they already have so many good reviews, but we wanted a good company so we were willing to wait till they could fit us in for a new water heater. We were very happy we did and think we got a fair price as well.

I have used many plumbers in Austin over the years and Blue Dragon is by far the best. My plumbing needs are usually immediate - broken pipe, leaks, etc, and I've had to go with who's available. I can honestly say, if Blue Dragon can meet your time needs, that's your choice. Gilbert did mention that he's hired another excellent plumber because of the customer demand, and he did come out the same day for my latest call. Why do I say Blue Dragon is the best? First of all, the basics - efficient, professional, well skilled, reasonable costs. More importantly, he's smart and can problem solve. To me, that's most important.
Quick, fast and did a good job. A little on the expensive side with the truck fee, but after horrible experiences with ARS and Radiant, I was willing to pay a little more. Still, a little less fees would have been nice.

The house we bought had low water pressure in both showers, and the kitchen sink sprayer was not working. We reached out to Gilbert and he was lightning fast in responding and scheduling a time to come by to take a look. He's got a great sense of humor, friendly and gave practical advice on how to tackle the low water pressure. He also made a suggestion for us to get an S-shaped shower arm when he noticed how long the current shower head position was. He was very fair with his fees and efficient in fixing our issues with the water pressure and kitchen faucet. We've definitely found our regular plumber for any future plumbing issues.
After being stood up/treated rudely by two other plumbers I finally found Blue Dragon/Gilbert. Gilbert picked up my call on the second ring, let me know he could come help me out as soon as he finished the call he was on at the time, and then showed up 45 minutes later after calling me to let me know he was on his way.
He quickly assessed that my disposal was blown and was able to replace it on the spot. He took extra time to show me how to do basic maintenance myself. He's an all-around lovely guy - very kind and very knowledgeable.
I will absolutely call him if I ever have any plumbing needs again - he's the best!

Had a leaking garbage disposal. Purchased a new one and called Blue Dragon on Friday after 5pm. He texted me at 7pm and we scheduled the installation for 2:30pm on Saturday (and said he'd charge weekday rates). He called at about 1:30 and said he was on his way. He arrived at 2:04pm and was done in about 35 minutes. He was fast, precise, and very professional. Because it was so fast he gave me 10% off!!! Thanks Gilbert for a job well done!
We love Gilbert! He was so nice and prompt when we had a leaking toilet on Christmas Eve. Our chain and handle had rusted and we tried to DIY but the toilet ended up leaking and we had no idea what we were doing. Called Gilbert and he arrived in 15 minutes. He even took a look at a slow draining sink and our other toilet that was having some issues. Such great service and he was very professional. John was up front and didn't mind explaining things to us. They currently couldn't help us with our issue, but were willing to give us references that could. Background, our house is old and it looks like the previous owners took it upon themselves to do their own plumbing. Like I said John explained to us the mess that is our plumbing drain system and gave us a good plan of action.

Just had a wonderful experience with Blue Dragon Plumbing, LLC. First they came out on a Sunday with no extra fee. Second John was here mere hours after I called. Third after figuring out it was just a matter of tightening the sprayer on my faucet after it coming loose he said No charge. ON A SUNDAY. Awesome and thank you, you've got a customer for life!
Sat morning started off with my toilets and showers backing up into the house. Gilbert got there within the hour, squeezing me in between two planned appointments. He correctly diagnosed the problem within 30 min of a collapsed connection to the city main line. Not only did he identify the problem quickly but he wrote out exactly what I needed to tell the city in order to get them to respond to my emergency. I could not have asked for a better experience. Gilbert is personable and cares about his customers.
Gilbert was very friendly, straight to the point, and honest. He was prompt and got right to work. I appreciate the service he did in a timely manner! Would definitely recommend Blue Dragon Plumbing to my friends and family.

When Best buy came to install a new washing machine, the guy pointed out that the hose lines and nozzles were rusted and he could not install it. He recommended me to call a plumber who can help me. I started researching in Yelp and in other sites cause we just recently had a terrible experience with a contractor. Anyways, we called Gilbert and he was able to come next day first thing in the morning. What a great guy. He was so nice, not only that, he did a smooth repair in less than 30 minutes. While working at it, he answered a phone call of someone who needed him for another job, but his schedule was full so he gladly recommended some colleagues. I highly recommend him, no doubt he is the best one in town.
Gilbert replaced the garbage disposal in our house, he was very quick to give us a quote, helped us to pick the right products, and he finished the job very fast. Reasonably priced, great job.
It's not often that someone will recommend his competitors and then go the extra step of checking back with you to make sure you got hold of them and got the help you needed. That's what Gilbert did. I called Blue Dragon first but they were booked solid for the next ten days. Gilbert recommended Armadillo Plumbing and E.T. Plumbing and sent me their contact info. I don't tend to go out of my way to write a review but I felt like I needed to because Andrew did a great job with the repairs to our faucets and shower head. Not only did he fix 3 faucets and 1 shower head under an hour... he helped repair the cover to our tankless water heater that wasn't covering properly that I did not mention before. When it became time to pay Andrew tacked on 10% off because he said the repairs were easy... I didn't think so but then again I am only good at replacing light bulbs.
Great service. Our dishwasher was constantly backing up and Gilbert came all the way over and helped troubleshoot. He was extremely knowledgeable and knew the issue right away. He has earned my future business and is the one I plan to call for any future plumbing needs ;-)

I was super impressed with Gilbert. I had high expectations after all the 5 star Yelp reviews, but he still managed to exceed them. Wonderful attitude, prompt, friendly, efficient. I could go on and on.... Highly recommended. He's a busy man, so it may be a bit of a wait for you to get him out to your house, but I recommend you call him first anyway. If you have a pressing matter, he's happy to recommend other plumbers. Great service. Blue Dragon is my plumbing service from now on.

I would definitely recommend Blue Dragon. My bathtub faucet was leaking pretty bad so I contacted several plumbers. Gilbert was quick in responding, upfront about pricing and could be here the soonest. The job was finished a lot faster than I was expecting. He showed me the water pressure is too high and explained what any plumber would need to do. I was impressed with how he told me without asking what I could do to prep for the job to save some money. When I can get that fixed, I'll be giving him a call. Great to find a honest, legit professional!

Like all the rest, I went to the reviews. I read them all. It doesn't happen often that the reviews were spot on because everyone sees differences in everything and everyone. Guess what, every reviewer was SPOT ON.
I called Gilbert this morning, explained what was wrong. Recurrent kitchen clog about 25 feet from drain, due to builder bad design. (I've been previously told) Anyway, Gilbert got here less than 4 hours later, (even though it wasn't an emergency) Quickly assessed the situation, found out where the clean-outs were and away he went. Very professional, shook hands first, then offered name and information. Followed him out to truck as he got materials and commented to him, Mr. Jimenez, according to Yelp your a Rock Star! He just smiled and said he had good customers. Came in and began working, explaining and fact gathering. Stories were awesome. He is the real thing folks. He can come into my home anytime, not just a plumber but as friend.
It only took him very short amount of time to fix problem, ran line all the way to the outside clean-out, I can say the three others times its been fixed, that didn't happen. Drain way running fine within an hour. And he was all packed up and ready to go. Came back into house with bill, and talked to teenage son and his friend while I wrote check. Gave me recommendations on keeping the drain clean in future all while he entertained us with stories of his family. Wow. (Kids if you read this, your father is your biggest fan and a great man)
Thanked me and was on his way to help some other family in need of his EXPERTISE. He is a Master Plumber in every sense of the words. Caring, congenial and as my children would say REAL.
His magnet is on my refrigerator, none with take its place I can assure you. He also made it a point as he was leaving to tell us that even if we have weekend or after hours problems, there wasn't up-charge for that. Well unless is a teetotal emergency, I can wait till business day, but it is sure nice to know. He is top notch, and as good as you could ever hope to have in your corner.

We had a kitchen sink leak threaten to derail our holiday baking plans today (Sunday) and called Gilbert at Blue Dragon Plumbing. He was there within the hour and:
1) Put on booties over the shoes to protect the floor (a small thing, but a lot of contractors have trouble with this and it drives my wife crazy)
2) Came right in and diagnosed the problem (in and out within 30 mintues)
3) Was extremely friendly and polite
4) Didn't charge overtime rates even on Sunday during the holiday season!
Had a chance to chat with Gilbert while we were going over the invoice and he sounds like a really great guy, the kind of small business I'm happy to get behind. I would highly recommend and will most definitely utilize his services for any future plumbing needs.

These guys are the real deal.... I picked them due to the overwhelming number of reviews and it was a great decision. Gilbert was fantastic to work with and set up our appointment very easily. Andrew came out and is a very knowledgable plumber that's been in the business since he was 5 years old, when he learned the trade from his dad. Reasonable pricing, honest work ethic and showed up exactly when they said they would. I've already referred them other business before they even did the work because I was impressed with the communication and follow up from the initial call. That about says it all.... Hope I don't need them soon, but they will be my first call when I do!!

I needed to have my water heater replaced so I came to Yelp and called about 5 plumbers to get quotes for how much it would cost. Gilbert responded to me the same day with an accurate quote. He answered my questions via phone or email quickly and with the details that I needed. From his answers and the details that he provided unprompted, I felt very confident that he would be the best person for the job. I did get some other quotes - they all started significantly lower but as I started asking questions, Does this need to be done, is this important, do you charge for xyz? they all crept up to the ORIGINAL price that Gilbert had quoted me. I am so appreciative that he didn't try to reel me in with a lower price and then surprise me afterwards with all the extras that needed to be done in order to do the replacement correctly. If I didn't have his quote, I wouldn't have even known to ask about all the other things that needed to be done.
Working with Gilbert is a pleasure. He's a really nice gentleman and taught me the plumber motto, The Plumber protects the Health of the Nation. I'm really glad that I got the opportunity to work with Gilbert and definitely recommend that if he is available to help with your project or repair, that you snap up that appointment!
After a poor experience with one of the bigger companies, I looked through reviews here to find a local plumber and settled on Blue Dragon. I had a little problem getting a hold of Gilbert because he has a lot of business. While he was here, he fielded several calls for customers whom he referred to other businesses since he couldn't get to them right away.
Fortunately, when I called, he had an opening and was able to come by a few hours later. Efficient, on time, reasonably priced, knowledgeable. The only issue with such a family business if fitting in to their schedule. Gilbert is very busy & has a 10 day waiting time. Never-the-less, he deserves 5 stars & I will use again!.

Gilbert at Blue Dragon Plumbing was great. They were able to squeeze me into their busy schedule and made quick work of a plumbing repair. I was impressed that he was able to solder a new pipe joint without cutting a huge hole in the ceiling - very skilled at his trade!
As they are busy - lots of great reviews here - Gilbert got a number of calls for service while he was with me. He was quick to offer advice and provide referrals when we he was not able to get the caller on his schedule. In fact, originally, he had told me that he could not get to me for about a week. He gave me 2 others to contact, which I did, but they were also busy. I am glad that I contacted Gilbert again and chose to get on his schedule (turns out he got an opening the next business day for my repair).
I would definitely recommend Blue Dragon Plumbing to others looking for a good, pleasant and responsive plumber.

So I just bought a house and needed the water heater replaced. I looked on yelp and couldn't believe the great reviews Blue Dragon was getting. I contacted Gilbert to get a quote. No one else came close.
After I ordered my water heater and received the wrong one several time, I had to keep delaying my install. Gilbert was always very accommodating and understanding. Today was install day. It had to be 105 degrees outside and 130 in my attic, where the water heater resides. He began working immediately. He climbed right into the oven of an attic and barely stopped to take a break. Got the new water heater up there and installed in no time flat.
This is not a guy who's going to swindle you or charge you for things you don't need. He's very straight forward and up front. He's always professional and very very nice. Will never talk down to you. He goes the extra mile and does it with a smile. Bookmark this page and save his number in your phone. You will not regret using Blue Dragon.
One call, same day service (even though it wasn't a demand on my part). Called when he was on his way, showed up when he said he would, did the work that needed to be done. Quick, efficient, quality work, great price. I can't ask for more!
While he was fixing our sink drain he got a call from another customer asking about installing a new disposal. Not only did he give them an estimate including the disposal, he told them that if they bought the disposal themselves they'd save a LOT of money vs. his buying it - saving them some cash and him some time. Honesty pays off in spades...
Asked him to estimate two more needs - we'll be scheduling that work shortly. What's more, I'll be keeping his info for any future issues and using him at our rental property. Quality professionals are a gem to find!

I chose Blue Dragon Plumbing based upon ALL of the great reviews on Yelp. Everyone is absolutely right about the owner, Gilbert. He is a great guy, does great work, and has great prices!!! My water heater sprung a leak and had to be replaced. He came out early on a Saturday to get my new water heater hooked up and he had no problem with the fact that I wanted to save some money by my buying the new water heater from Home Depot, my disconnecting and removing the old water heater from the attic and my putting the new water heater in the attic so that Gilbert only had to hook up the new water heater. Everyone should use this guy !!

This is a small business. It's Gilbert, who is CEO and master plumber. First things first, when you call Blue Dragon, Gilbert actually answers the phone. He is very professional and knows his stuff. It's obvious he cares about his work and taking care of his customers. He takes care of business too. Diagnosed our problem and gave us temporary relief in 30 minutes. Then gave us a referral to another professional that specialized in our particular problem (roots in the drain system). This is just a great one man shop with skills and customer service second to none.
Very responsive, friendly and knowledgeable. Prices were fair and work was very high quality. They are my go to for plumbing related work from now on.
Gilbert showed up on time and was very professional. I sent him some pictures before he came over and he told me what to expect before arriving and did what he said he would. He worked quickly and I was very happy with the whole transaction

Prompt, courteous, knowledgable and honest. That sums up Gilbert and Blue Dragon Plumbing. He came out and promptly diagnosed three different plumbing issues at my house. Gilbert made the repairs in a professional but personable manner and charged an extremely reasonable amount for his services. I'll be a repeat customer with my future plumbing needs.

I was calling to have a service done and Gilbert took the time to explain to me how I could do this service myself and save my hard earned money. I used them a year ago and was completely please.
Today, I had them out, and frankly I won't use them again. Maybe because he had gotten good reviews, he decided to make more money!
Let's see- a 30 minute travel charge (no matter how long it takes them to get here, mid day without traffic!) + hourly charge and if they are 5 minutes over (which was them writing up the bill) they charge you another part of an hour, and the topper- a $25 Truck charge for wear and tear on their trucks.
It occurs like a racket to drive up charges. I paid $173 for them to refasten a T joint in that had come loose- which they won't warranty- but offered to have it replaced for 600-800 so they could warranty it.
I am sorry- they may be good, but their new concern seems to be how much money can I squeeze out of a person.
I will go elsewhere next time!
Addendum: Just to comment to Gilbert's comment. I understand his need to defend himself. However, in this case, he is inaccurate. The original installation was 17 years ago- no problem in 17 years, so I don't think it is shoddy work by another company. Seems like normal wear and tear due to drought!
And I am very clear about the overages on time due to paperwork, etc. Perhaps my mistake was NOT checking the website before I called- I thought I could just call some service person who had done service before and I would be told BEFORE I had them here that they raised their prices significantly. I have lived and learned. Thank you.
Gilbert was friendly and efficient. He replaced a sink and faucet assembly and did a great job. Showed up at the appointed time, and did the job very quickly.
Gilbert is super nice, knowledgable and professional! We needed two 40 gallon gas water heaters replaced - Gilbert was very prompt with the quote and the result was a plumbing work of art (it's a shame that they are hidden in the attic). About a week later Gilbert resolved an unrelated issue with our tub faucet...we plan to call Blue Dragon Plumbing again for an upcoming renovation project.

Gilbert replaced two toilets, hauled away the old ones, and because I'm paranoid, replaced all the old supply lines and shut-off valves in my house. I was thinking it would take all day... nope! I had a leaking water heater that needed to be replaced. Gilbert's quotation was not the cheapest, but I went with him on the strength of the Yelp reviews. Very glad I did!!! He assessed the situation, replaced all the questionable parts (such as the shut-off valve, which did not work!!). I know enough about plumbing to know he did incredibly skilled work, and he did it very quickly!!!
He was entirely professional in every way, I felt very comfortable having him in my house. When he finished, I asked him to look at the rest of my plumbing to see what shape it was in. He did so, and had some suggestions for us that we will be following.

Gilbert replaced a water heater for me in May 2013. I chose Blue Dragon based on the positive feedback on Yelp and Gilbert exceeded my expectations. Initially, I communicated with him via telephone and email. He patiently responded to multiple emails after-hours and addressed all my concerns. I sent him a few photos of the old water heater from my iPhone and he gave me a quote. As a busy professional, I appreciated the ability to arrange everything without the need to take time away from the office.
On the day of installation, everything went smoothly. Gilbert arrived early. He worked with purpose throughout the job. I had several questions as a new homeowner and Gilbert helped to educate me on the basic plumbing features of my home and showed me how to operate and drain the heater. In addition, he explored my attic and climbed onto the roof to diagnose and fix a leak he noticed around the water heater exhaust pipe, from the original construction of the home.
We requested the permit inspection a few days later. The inspector actually goofed, went to the wrong address, and planned to reschedule for another day. Luckily, Gilbert managed to persuade him to accommodate me on the same day, which helped me avoid another morning away from the office. The inspector found no issues.
Fast forward to Monday, September 16, I experienced a plumbing emergency that had nothing to do with the water heater Gilbert installed. I noticed raw sewage overflowing from the cleanout pipe, in the right-of-way, outside my fence line. Let me repeat, raw sewage. I was stressed out. I sent Gilbert a photo and asked for his help. He called me and advised I immediately phone the City to report the problem. The City responded quickly with a crew of four workers and heavy equipment. They found a blockage in the sewer line and addressed the problem. Again, this issue was totally unrelated to the water heater installation, yet he was more than willing to help me.
Great, but the next night, my garage smelled like a sewer. I traced the stench to the washing machine drain and sent Gilbert a panicked email at 8:13p. He replied the same night at 11:12p with detailed instructions. Are you kidding me? I didn't expect to hear from him until the next day. He gave me the information necessary to diagnose and fix the problem.
Gilbert is awesome. I can't say enough about his responsiveness and customer service. It's such a relief to find a skilled tradesman who takes pride in his craft and is reliable, capable, accessible, and goes the extra-mile. I recommend him to my family and friends without hesitation. The next time you need a plumber, look no further.

Gilbert was on time for our appointment. He gave me an estimate through email and because he finished the job a lot quicker than expected, he charged less than the estimate. He has a lot of integrity and I would definitely use him again if I ever have any plumbing problems.
Gilbert was amazing! He installed a new disposal in only about 20 minutes and was extremely friendly and courteous the whole time.
Was the only plumber to answer out of the first 3 I tried calling and came out to my house the same afternoon I first called him without an appointment. Will be the only plumber I call next time I have any plumbing problems.

I'm adding my 5 stars to the big pile of stars out in front of Gilbert's office. Gilbert gave us a FAIR price to replace our water heater, which is located in our attic. By FAIR, I mean that his quote was $1000 less than the other company we had out.
He and his helper arrived right on time and did the job we asked of them. The thing that REALLY impressed me about Gilbert was the way he interacted with his teammate (assistant? apprentice?). They were very respectful and kind to one another while working. I know that's a weird thing to point out, but it just really struck me, you know? Like, I was happy to have that kind of vibe happening in my home. I like people like that and am happy to write them great reviews. It's a Karma thing.
When Gilbert was done, he had the hubs and I join him in the attic so he could give us a quick tutorial on our unit. What to do, when to do it, how to do it, that sort of thing. He went above and beyond to make sure we were set for a successful relationship with our new water heater.
Definitely call Blue Dragon for your plumbing needs! Honest, fair, friendly, and kind. A+!

The five stars are not a fluke. This guy is the awesome.
I had a leak in my ceiling from the shower. First guy I had out from another company poked at the shower for five minutes then wanted to rip my ceiling open. I decided to go for a second opinion. Glad I did.
Glibert showed up and instead of gouging me with a complicated solution right away, did the smart thing and tried the simplest solution first. He replaced my fixings in the bath/shower and that was that. No tearing apart of my ceiling. Problem solved.
Gilbert is honest, efficient, and affordable. He is great at communicating, and shows up on time as scheduled. And he's friendly to boot. Can't think of anything more you'd want out of a plumber.

Gil Jimenez was professional and friendly. I called him Saturday morning when I noticed a leak in wall and he was very prompt in responding to my needs. He inspected the problem and was straightforward and honest; he even suggested that he do the permanent repair on a weekday to avoid any additional emergency service charges (which seemed reasonable anyway for weekend service). He would have done the full repair on the spot, but I didn't need that bathroom over the weekend anyway.
On Monday morning, he was on time and even rang my phone before ringing the bell in order to make sure I was up and decent. Definitely a nice courtesy to someone like me who is slow to get moving Monday mornings!
Gil certainly seems to care about respecting people, treating you right, and getting the job done correctly. He even took the time to inspect and answer some questions I had about a previous plumbing job (not his work) for no charge. His rates were very competitive and I was greatly relieved with how little this unexpected problem cost me!

So I was enjoying a Breakfast with Santa Fundraiser for my daughter's school on a Sunday morning when I get a trouble call from my new tenants moving into our rental house. They bled the water line to ice machine water supply which was not used by the previous tenants and discovered that they couldn't shut the valve off! They had to shut off of the water supply to the house in order to stop the flow. So in a panic I looked up plumbers in Yelp and ran across Blue Dragon Plumbing which appeared to have great ratings. I called and got in touch with the Owner, Gilbert, as I darted off towards the rental house. I explained to him that I would attempt to remedy the problem myself but not knowing the extent of issue I needed a Plan B. Gilbert was in the middle of installing a water heater and advised me that it would be two hours before he could get to the house. He told me to go ahead and evaluate the situation and proceed with the repairs I was comfortable doing on my own. He said he would come out and finish anything I couldn't handle and that he wouldn't charge overtime for the Sunday house call.
So I got to the house and managed to remove the defective valve. I went over to Crump Plumbing Supply and picked up a replacement valve. Minutes after I got back to the house Gilbert called and informed me that he completed the water heater install and that he could come over if I still needed him. I figured I would sleep better at night knowing a licensed plumber completed the install instead of yours truly. So Gilbert proceeded to install the valve I purchased and only charged me for labor. Since he was already there I asked him to replace a suspected leaky washing machine supply valve. Gilbert made quick work of both repairs. I was pleasantly surprised at the bill which was quite reasonable. I really appreciate the fact that he didn't take advantage of situation.
I only have one minor criticism about Blue Dragon. They don't accept credit card payments which is kind of a pain when you have an emergency situation like I had and you don't have your checkbook handy. In my case he met at a nearby bank ATM where I paid him cash immediately after the repairs. Beyond that he showed up on a Sunday two hours after I called, picked up where I left off on the repairs, and charged a very reasonable amount for the services. That's 5 star service in my book.

I called Gilbert about replacing two water heaters. He asked me to take pictures of the set-up and then gave an estimate via email. I was going out of town so we set a date a month out. Then I had to change the date and he check to make sure his helper was available and let me know within minutes if we could make the change. He showed up on time--and even though the job was more complicated than the pictures could convey--he honored his original estimate. Everything was easy: Gilbert was easy to reach, he responded quickly via email, he did good work, and he honored his estimate. Really great service!

As a realtor, I have met many great tradesmen. Today, I met the best plumber I have ever had the pleasure to pay. It is Christmas Eve. I am baking, cooking and have family in town. I will admit it, someone put a bunch of apple cores (apple pie making in full swing) in the sink and most were in the disposal. I thought about digging them out, but I was busy and thought that it would be okay. NOPE, IT WAS NOT. My hubby took sink apart and determined it was in the drainpipe. We needed a plumber. I apologized for the timing and asked if he could help. I did not know that he was already closed, but he said yes, but I just sat down to supper, I just would like the chance to eat supper and I will be right out. I emailed him my information and got out everything that I thought he would need: work lights, extension cords, flashlights, towels, buckets, etc. He arrived in about 45 minutes and assessed the problem in about 10 minutes, determined the clean out line that was the culprit and began working. We had a doozie of a clog, yet he got it cleared and everything back in working order in an hour or so. He was so nice, polite, prompt, professional and pleasant...it made this awfully timed emergency not so bad at all. We were actually nervous about the invoice...we have had a plumbing emergency before and have been seriously gouged, but were in a tight spot, so we just paid. We were SHOCKED. Not only did he not gouge us by extra charges (like travel time or equipment use, etc), he did not charge us some crazy holiday rate or after hours. Maybe he did this because it was Christmas Eve (also my birthday), or maybe because he and my husband chatted about marching bands/drum corps intl or MAYBE HE JUST IS A DECENT HUMAN NOT TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE PUBLIC!!!! Do not use another plumber. He knows what he is doing. He is professional. He is nice and honest. I only gave him 5 stars because there is no 6 stars. Wow, Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday to me....wish I had met him years ago.
Great job fixing a toilet that smelled like sewage, and fixing two outdoor hose bibs (faucets). Strongly recommended.

We called Gilbert for some help removing an old gas stove. The nut to the gasline was stuck and we didn't feel comfortable banging around it, anymore than we had. He was friendly, personable, on time and very professional. He also came out the day after we called him, even though he was short-handed.
Edited for a mistake: I re-read Gilbert's e-mail and it did disclose the charge for travel time. I was reading it on my phone, the first time, and missed it. My apologies to Gilbert.
In any case, I'd hire him for future jobs in a second.
Gilbert is a great plumber and so easy to work with. He came out right away and easily diagnosed our problem. I had been putting off calling someone for weeks. Now I know exactly who to call when there is an issue.

I found a big pool of water under the sink in the morning and called our usual plumber, but he was busy, so I called Gilbert at Blue Dragon, based on the Yelp reviews. As soon as I called, he told me his rates and asked if I was okay with them. Though he had other scheduled jobs, he swung by to take a look and in 5 minutes determined that the faucet was leaking. He told me to buy a new faucet and to call him when I had it. I went out and bought the faucet, let him know, and then he swung by and installed it. After all that, then he charged me. He didn't charge me for his first visit either - though he made two visits, he only charged for one. Very honest and ethical - a rare find indeed these days. Highly recommended!

Blue Dragon came to the Rescue. I was having a toilet issue and tried to fix ourselves as we had no go to plumber! Fixing it ourselves was of no use so I went to Yelp. Blue Dragon had great reviews so I called; totally prepared to wait a few days. Gilbert answered, asked some specific questions and said he would get back with me an on estimate on when he could get out. He called back a few hours later saying he had finished a project up early and could come out that very day. He was on time and got to work. He fixed the toilet and gave some recommendations to solve possible future problems. He was very nice, very professional and his rates were reasonable. I now have a GO TO Plumber with Gilbert and Blue Dragon Plumbing!
I'm fully satisfied. Gilbert is courteous, friendly, prompt, and honest. He has great communication skills and explains things very clearly. Better yet, his final bill came in below estimates, though that might partially be because I pre-excavated the Pressure Reducing Valve that had failed.
Gilbert also seems to check emails nightly and this is the first time I've had someone ask to get pictures emailed prior to coming over so as to better assess and prepare for the work. I can't tell how much that helped w/ coming in under budget, but it was confidence-inspiring.
Bottomline, I've got good water pressure again, and this was a great transaction from my point of view. I'll definitely be calling Gilbert the next time I need a plumber.
I hired Gilbert to move the hot/cold lines and drain in my powder bath to enable installation of my new vanity. He came out right away to do an estimate and then worked the job into his tight schedule. His price was great and no problems with the job--he works fast and cleans up after. The job entailed his moving the lines and then coming back to do the install after I finished my part (texturing and painting the wall), and he was super about staying in touch and scheduling his return. Will use Blue Dragon again for sure.
How can you beat honest, friendly, helpful, informative, willing to change a busy schedule at the last minute and just plain awesome? You can't. All these positive reviews are very well deserved. Gilbert is where it's at.
All I can say: Amazing, clean work! I had to get to upgrade my water heater. Came out earlier than he anticipated and was finished really quickly! He even gave me some hints to extend the life of the new water-heater. I plan on using Blue Dragon for any other plumbing issues that may arise in the future.
Long story short: if you need a plumber: Call Gilbert at Blue Dragon. He won't let you down!

This is an AMAZING plumbing company.
We just moved to our new house and had concerns about our water heater and our garbage disposal. Unlike other companies that I called, Gilbert spent time with me on the phone going over simple ways that I could fix the problems myself (reset button, etc) but after some minutes of discussion, determined that he would have to come over to take a look.
I actually didn't expect him to come over for a few days but he called back the same day and said that he could come right over. He took a look at our water heater, figured out that we needed to replace it, fixed our garbage disposal quickly, AND found a leak under our kitchen sink... and fixed that too for free. He had to refer us to another plumbing company for the water heater because he is booked solid for the next few weeks (another sign of a great plumber!).
On top of all of that, Gilbert's prices are absolutely right, much better than anyone else I called. He is friendly, professional, and wants to help you help yourself before you take the plunge and hire a plumber. That sets him apart. Go call him! I would definitely call him again!
I can't say enough good things about Gilbert and Blue Dragon. We needed to replace our water heater + pressure regulator + a lot of valves... and he got our job done quickly and professionally. He was able to meet me the day after I sent my email request. He was prompt, extremely knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable with the process. We were scheduled within a week and the entire job was complete within a few hours on a Sunday! He and his assistant were great, they explained everything and made sure we felt comfortable with the finished product. Three weeks later, everything is working beautifully. Gilbert just left our house and we were amazed with the level of service. I called fairly late in the evening with a slow leak from an upstairs shower that was running into the wall below. In spite of the late hour he came right out. He was able to open the sheetrock, identify the leak, and cap the pipes to prevent further damage. He was friendly, professional, and his prices were more than fair.

Well, it's been a year and everything still works well. That bathroom has developed a new issue (that Gil did warn me might happen) and once my income tax return comes in, I'm calling Gil back.
Excellent work from Gilbert on short notice replacing my garbage disposal. He came over and looked at my disposal to make sure it was broken before he told me what disposal to purchase (a less expensive one to save me some $). He did all this before he charged me a penny. Installation was done the next day and was quick and well done. Will be using his services again.
Gilbert is a wonderful plumber. We are in the process of renovating a home we just purchased and came across some leaking valves in the bathrooms. It was a Sunday and he came within 10 minutes and was done in an hour and with a reasonable price. He is easy to communicate with and tells you exactly what needs to be done. Outstanding Service! We called Gilbert to address some leaks we had in the house and he took the time to discuss them over the phone so that he could show up prepared to launch into them and then he did show up (exactly on time, no less) he worked so fast it was like watching a blur. He was thorough, effective, and I would have no problem recommending him to anyone else.
I cold called Gilbert to get a second estimate to replace a 50 gal electric water heater. He asked that I send photos and he'd email me back. He did exactly that! Even emailing me as late as 11! My husband says he must work his behind off! He offered a reasonable rate and he's gotten rave reviews. Unfortunately he didn't end up doing the work only because we needed to shower for work and he was booked. BUT he's very professional and it was so much easier taking photos and sending at my leisure instead of waiting around for someone to give an estimate Yadda Yadda. Gilbert did a outstanding job of replacing a commode and unclogging a very difficult sink drain on my 80 year old moms house. Gilbert was very courteous, arrived a few minutes early and quickly diagnosed the problem. I was so impressed I asked for a stack of his business cards for myself and girlfriend (realtor) to refer him to other people.

I want to log in and write this review now, because Gilbert is the real deal. All the great things everyone else has said is true! He was friendly and responsive from the very beginning when I emailed, patiently answered all of my questions, worked with me to find a day/time that worked with my crazy schedule, told me what I could buy and have ready to reduce costs prior to his visit, called when he was on his way, showed up exactly when he said he would and he did an AMAZING job!!!!! His nearly perfect star status on Yelp is greatly deserved and I am almost hesitant to tell you just how happy I am because I'm afraid he will become so popular that I'll never be able to get an appointment with him again. :-) I hope to have him as my plumber from here on out and yes, that fridge magnet several people have mentioned is now on the side of my fridge! Gilbert is very courteous and prompt! I discovered water leaking from my water heater about 8:30 on a Saturday night and called him. I didn't leave a message, but he called back within an hour. He told me he considered that an emergency, but doesn't charge extra for weekend or after hours work. He asked I take pics of the heater & connections and take measurements. I emailed those to him that night and had a very reasonable quote emailed back to me a couple hours later. He came out on Sunday morning & installed the water heater in just under three hours. He also replaced a shut off valve and hose to a toilet and only charged for parts. I would highly recommend Blue Dragon Plumbing!
We were able to have Gilbert come out at relatively short notice to fix some issues that came up in our inspection when we were trying to sell our house. He was super friendly and courteous, even our dogs liked him! He really went above and beyond and saved us a lot of money. We were told our water pressure was low and Gilbert actually checked our 2 neighbors pressure and saw it was the same. He told us it was not an issue with our plumbing but rather the water pressure in our neighborhood was low. He suggested we contact the water utility to get confirmation and he was right! We saved hundreds of dollars by not having the get the pressure fixed. Highly recommend.
They rescued us from a plumbing emergency, showed up fast and got the job done fast, so I can't complain. Based on the other reviews I thought the price would be more reasonable than it was, but late on a Saturday afternoon and in a pinch, it was worth it.

I had a last minute plumbing need that came up and he was able to make it out same day which was amazing. They are also fantastic communicators and respond quickly and keep you in the loop - which is not normal for sure.
Extremely friendly and work was great. Prices were reasonable too.

Amazing - simply amazing!
We had a busted outdoor faucet pipe that required us to shut off our water. We called Gilbert from Blue Dragon first thing in the morning and explained our situation. He was over within a couple hours to fix the problem and get us back into the world of running water again.
All told, probably took him under an hour and that involved taking out some of our sandstone facade to fully access the pipe. Gilbert even took the time and care to drill the mortar between the stones in order to pull whole stones which we can reuse later to close the hole back up. Very very impressive, extremely friendly and good humored to boot.
Blue Dragon's trucks may stand out for their graphics but they represent a high level of competency, trust and highly competitive rates.
We feel incredibly lucky to have found Blue Dragon and that Gilbert was able to come over and help us out. We'll definitely be calling Blue Dragon again for any of our future plumbing needs. Shout out to Gilbert - Go Eagles!

Gilbert has done two plumbing jobs for me, each expertly, quickly, professionally and with a smile (except for the shaking of his head when looking at some of the former plumbing).
The first job was to replace two toilets and look at the overall plumbing status of the house. The second job was to repair a leak at a shower head/faucet.
Without doubt I will call him again!!!

I am so happy with this company! I called today, and Gilbert asked me to send an email describing the problem. My toilet was flaky - it flushed most of the time, but I had to fiddle with the handle, and sometimes it didn't fill, so I had to try it again. About an hour later, Gilbert called me back and said he could do the work today. He showed me how the valves in the tank had been installed wrong. He redid them, and charged me nothing! I will definitely call him the next time I need plumbing work.
I am especially impressed because another plumbing company told me it would cost $223 to fix the problem. Gilbert was honest, efficient, and everything I could ask for in a home repair technician.

If I could give Gilbert more than five stars, I would. Sunday around 12PM our toilet started backing up raw sewage everywhere when the laundry machine water dropped. Found BDP on Yelp and called him immediately. He told me what to do to relieve the pressure in the line outside and within an hour was at my door. Cleared the line and told me what to do in the future to prevent the inside mess if it ever happened again. The charge was UNBELIEVABLY LOW! Seriously, he not only didn't take advantage of our situation, it felt like he treated us like he would a friend or neighbor. Bonus: he has the greatest personality ever. We won't call anyone else, ever. Thank you!!

What can I say? Gilbert is professional, thorough, prompt, and explains things in a way that's easy to understand for us none-plumbing types! He provided a courtesy inspection of my new condo and later replaced two faucets and a shower head. I already plan to have him replace a toilet and water heater in the not-too-distant future. 5:30 on Saturday afternoon. 6 wk old baby son fussy. Toilet and tub full of -ick-backwash water and it'll cost me at least $75 to rent a snake from Home Depot. Sigh. And I get to stick my arm in that? Ummm... lets look on Yelp for a plumber. Gil picked up on the third ring. Said he was in North Austin and was on the way. OMG. Awesome. And awesome he was. Snaked it out in about an hour.(I guess Daddy needs to know what is and is not flushable in the diapering department!)
He also let me know that the tree in my front yard that stands between my water meter and my house will become an issue eventually(if not already...) bummer. I like trees. BUT! when that day comes I will know who to call! Amazingly fast, great service and MUCH less than I would have thought for a weekend job... WORTH IT FOR NOT HAVING TO MESS WITH SEWER WATER!!!!! YAY! I can pee in my house again. Thanks to Gil and Blue Dragon. (Being the Year of the Dragon, this makes sense....)LOL
Gilbert came out within an hour of calling him. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and easy to understand. We ended up having a tree root in the sewer line issue that Gilbert did not fix but for any other type of plumbing issue I would not hesitate to call him again.

Gilbert came over to check a leak we had in our home. After ten or so minutes of investigating he told us there was nothing he could do. The problem is not plumbing related.
He was very polite and nice - up front that he couldn't help us. He gave us a couple of referrals for people that can help and I will be calling them shortly.
If I ever have another plumbing issue I will not hesitate to call Gilbert or recommend him to friends.
Owner/Lead Gilbert is fantastic. Hard worker, honest, on time, fair pricing. I know many contractors and as a home owner who has worked with many (some bad, few good), Gilbert is among the best. Well earned 5* call him.
I will never use another plumber after using Blue Dragon Plumbing! Gilbert was not only punctual, but incredibly friendly and i felt very comfortable with him and his assistant being in my home. I called him for what i thought was a problem with my disposal, but after further investigation, it was something wrong with my sink line. Not only did he fix it in about 5 min, but didn't even charge me for it!!! I don't know if it had something to do with me expressing how poorly my day had gone, but he truly turned it around. It's so wonderful to know there are still people like him that just want to help out. I'm truly touched by his generosity. Thank you, Gilbert!!!

Awesome service. Had them out on a holiday weekend and showed up within the hour of our call. I had to work, so my wife was home with our baby. Way good. Like there should be 10 stars for this company. I found Blue Dragon Plumbing through Yelp and the number of 5 star reviews caught my attention. I called and Gilbert regarding intermittent hot water in the kitchen sink, and he gave me a couple of quick tests to do on my own, just in case it was something I could fix myself. I was pleasantly surprised, free plumbing advice! Turned out to be beyond my skill set and I scheduled an appointment. He arrived on time and not only fixed the sink, but was done quickly. He also identified a larger issue with corroded pipes under the house - even I could see they would need to be replaced soon. What kills me is we had a kitchen remodel last year and moved plumbing underneath the house and no one mentioned anything about the corroded pipes under the house - there were 5 guys moving plumbing for 3 days! Gilbert made a recommendation to two other companies that could do the work. Definitely a trustworthy person, it was clear he wasn't trying to snag additional business for himself. Blue Dragon is in my rolodex now as my plumber of choice.
Gilbert is awesome. He is fair, courteous and reliable. Did the job he said he would so and charged me less than the original quote. And he showed up on time! What plumber is ever on time?

Finally- I'm able to write this well-deserved good review. I had a clogged kitchen sink right after the Memorial holiday. I knew it would be tough getting someone out to look at it. One place I called was booked for 2 weeks. I saw the great reviews for Blue Dragon Plumbing and gave them a call. Gilbert showed up at my house within the hour of my call. He cleared out my drain in 5 minutes flat- now that's fast service! Since I don't trust myself with gas, I had him drain my water heater, too. That probably took 10 minutes tops. He gave me tips on how to preserve the life of my water heater, too. His price was right in my budget and within 20 minutes of his arrival - all work was completed and he was on his way. A week later and my drain is A-ok. I've tossed out the number to my old plumber and now Blue Dragon will get all my future business. 5 Stars to Blue Dragon Plumbing!
Ok. Could it be true? 5 star service from a plumbing company. YES!! it does exist !!. Gilbert is awesome. Got me on his schedule for the same day. Took time to access a difficult clogged drain problem so it was done right and charged me a super reasonable rate for the work. All around awesome experience for something everybody dreads-- calling a plumber. He is also super nice too!
Gil was amazing. Out here in under twenty minutes after my call on a Sunday night at 8pm. Had a stoppage going from my house to the septic tank and he fixed in in under five minutes for a great price.

Gilbert is GREAT!!!! After calling 3 other plumbers and setting up appts and having them NO SHOW even with great reviews I was ready to be let down. However, he was timely, professional and quick. He could of easily taken his time and made sure he got paid for another hr. of labor but he very punctual. Most importantly he was personable. The worst thing is having any kind of technician in your home who is rude or short with you. Gilbert was very nice and pleasant to be around as he thoroughly explained what i needed to do next.
I'd refer him to anyone and his magnet is staying on my fridge for anything in the future.

Like so many others, I was looking for a reliable plumber so I scoured the five star recipients carefully. I got voicemail with the first two I called which could be a good sign if they were busy but I needed someone now. My third call was to Blue Dragon and Gilbert answered the phone. I am so glad I didn't get the first two because Gilbert is great and I would recommend him to anybody!
My first call to Blue Dragon was for my relatively new, low water flush toilet that decided to flush on it's own in the middle of the night. I figured it needed a new valve in the tank but my days of getting under the tank and doing such repairs are over. Gilbert understood the problem and asked me to send him an email with address and phone number details. I thought that was a bit odd at first but then it made sense if he is his own staff and scheduler. I was at work and my wife at home so I wasn't going to be there to meet him. He came by and looked at the toilet that day and admitted he wasn't familar with that model of toilet but adjusted the valve. My wife was impressed with his honesty and professionalism. In addition, he did not charge us for the call since he was here for a short time and it was only a minor adjustment. Over month later, the toilet is working great.
We had our kitchen remodled a few years ago by a company who apparently did not know plumbing as the goose neck under our sink has come apart periodically. I have put it back together but it doesn't stay for very long. So, a couple weeks ago, I thought I would call Gilbert and see if he would look at it. It was the same scenario: I called, sent him an email, he showed up later that day. He greeted my wife with a familiar smile and looked under the sink. He discovered the PVC parts used for the new sink were not the correct size and that's why they would not stay connected. He left to get the right sized parts and came back and repaired the situation. The pipes are solid as a rock and the bowl under the new goose neck has been dry since the day Gilbert left.

If you need plumbing service, give Blue Dragon Plumbing a call! After doing laundry, my bathtubs and shower backed up with water. Gilbert was timely, courteous, and best of all, took care of the problem the same morning I called! He even took the time to tell me how I can help the situation with a product from Home Depot or Lowes. Should I have plumbing issues in the future, Gilbert will be my first call!
Needed a new hot water heater and went to yelp to look for a plumber. Contacted three of top reviews for my area. Gilbert was the only one to come out and look at the existing water heater and describe the severity of the fire hazard. His bid was comparable to several others but his willingness to discuss the options and describe the details was excellent.
He called ahead on the day of the install and finished the job in about 2 hours.
I would recommend Blue Dragon to anyone in need of quality plumbing services.

Blue Dragon came out the same day I called and made my sink drain better than it did before following a terrible clog. Gilbert even fixed a piece that had come loose from my garbage disposal that I thought would never go back into place. It was all done quickly and professionally.
These folks are amazing. I was going to an special event on a Saturday, and late in the afternoon my plumbing decided to back up into every orifice in the house. I called Blue Dragon and they were over in record time, fixed the problem and I was able to make my event with 10 minutes to spare.

Seriously, I don't write yelp reviews (even though I read them all the time), but this time I had to chime in on what a gem Gilbert of Blue Dragon Plumbing is.
I needed to have a new garbage disposal installed and Gilbert returned my call promptly, set up an appt for the next day, called before he reached my home, showed up on time and installed the disposal with no fuss no muss - what more can you ask for?!!
It was a pleasure to work with such a professional and genuinely nice guy. Thanks, Gilbert!
Gilbert is very friendly, punctual, speedy, high-spirited and clearly knows his trade.
We called him to investigate a slow sewer line and replace two toilets. Turns out the old toilets were installed poorly and that was causing the slowness. He explained everything he was doing as he installed the new toilets and he applied his trade expertly to compensate for the shoddy work we previously had. He even pointed out and explained a few other items in our bathrooms that we'd need to look at.
The expense was extremely reasonable, and his attitude made the experience a pleasure. I wish more tradesmen were like Gilbert!
Blue Dragon Plumbing was at my house 15 minutes after I called them. The plumber worked on my plumbing needs and had them fixed in under an hour. He was honest and professional. I will definitely call Blue Dragon Plumbing again.
I found Blue Dragon on Yelp after reading the good reviews. I now know why so many have had a positive experience. I requested to be contacted about replacing 2 water heaters using their website. Gilbert responded very quickly to the request. He offered to visit my home to take a look but I was able to email the specs and other details. This saved me time. The replacement went well and did not take long. Gilbert explained everything about the new equipment and the recommended maintenance. Everything was neat, clean, and in good working order.
Excellent Saturday service! Gilbert came out immediately and helped my mom with the dirty water problems she was experiencing. My son also used Blue Dragon awhile back and was very satisfied.

If you don't have an immediate plumbing issue Gilbert is the man to call. His availability is 3 to 4 weeks sometimes. He is that good. Integrity, quality, customer service - all outstanding. extremely professional, friendly and courteous. Hope I never lose his phone # ever. oh yeah, if you think this guy is going to cost you an arm and a leg then think again. Highly recommended. It's not some gimmickry as to why is on #1 on the list. He answered my phone call EVERY TIME I called him. He answers his emails at night. when he was at my house he answered everyone's call while he was working. Gilbert can multi-task very well. What a guy !!!

This plumber is awesome. He is quick, and knows everything about this industry. Amazing. He had fixed my leaky sinks and toilets back in December, and I recently had another issue with another toilet. They fixed it so quickly and was just really fun and professional. Hire this person immediately.

Gilbert is incredible.
We had a minor plumbing emergency this morning at 11am when our kitchen faucet shattered. The type of configuration we have is not something I wanted to tackle myself and not having a working faucet or dishwasher is not a viable option in a house with six people, so I came to Yelp to see what could be done.
I gave Gilbert a call based on his excellent reviews. I was expecting to be able to schedule an appointment tomorrow at best, but Gilbert fit us in between two other appointments. It is now just shy of 2pm and everything is fixed. Gilbert also noticed a problem with our dishwasher plumbing while he was installing the new faucet and took care of that as well in about 90 seconds.
The timing was fantastic and his rates were totally reasonable (and less than two other plumbers I called).
We will definitely use Blue Dragon Plumbing and Gilbert again for any future plumbing needs. We can't recommend this guy strongly enough.

I have never written a Yelp review till now. I just recently purchased my condo and I have been living here for maybe a month or so. This morning after flushing my toilet a loud and vibrating sound was coming from I guess the pipes. Obviously I was freaking out because thoughts of my pipes bursting or something in that nature happening was going through my mind and it is Saturday so most places would be closed or charge extra to come out on emergencies and technically this isn't an emergency. I looked on Yelp and Blue Dragon Plumbing was first on the list with nothing but five star reviews. I called and left a message for Gilbert. In less than an hour he calls me back not once but twice because I missed his first call. He guided me on what to do which was turn my shut off valve to the toilet counter clockwise until it stopped and then he told me to flush my toilet and what do you know...no noise or vibrations! He told me that the valve wasn't open all the way and that is why it was making that noise and he was calling me while he was out of the state. He went way out of his way to help me out. I am definitely calling Gilbert and Blue Dragon Plumbing for any of my plumbing needs. He exceeded expectations. You just can't provide any better service than what Gilbert provided. Five plus stars!
He came out to fix my toilet and it looked fine. For some reason it started leaking after a couple of days. He came out for free, and even bought some hardware and didn't charge me anything. Everything works great of course. Highly recommended.
We hired Gilbert to inspect and then later replace a defective toilet in our house. Gilbert responded to our request for services immediately and when he wasn't able to get to our appointment that week he recommended two other plumbers that served our area and that he trusted to do a good job. We were so impressed with Gilbert that we opted to turn off the water to that toilet and wait until he could fit us in, which he very quickly did. Once here, Gilbert was EXTREMELY professional, courteous and efficient. He took extra care when placing items on our wood floors and also kept the work space clean and made sure he left the area spotless when he was done. It turned out that we needed to order a new toilet so the timing on that required Gilbert to come back out the second time on a Sunday morning, which he did and at no extra cost and made quick work of the problem. You read that right...made a trip out on a Sunday at NO EXTRA COST! We can honestly say that everything about our experience with Gilbert went well beyond expectations, which unfortunately is a rare thing these days. Gilbert personally answered the phone when we called, called just as he said he would prior to arriving for our appointments, was super knowledgable in his work and followed-up on the service. All of that said, maybe the best thing about Gilbert is how friendly and personable he is. We will ALWAYS use Gilbert for any plumbing needs from now on and just can't say enough good things about this company. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would because he knocked it out of the park in every regard. THANK YOU, GILBERT!!

I had called Gilbert for bunch of small odd jobs and he did great job. I did find the total price charged to be a little on higher side (for small jobs) but still giving all stars for the prompt and quality service. Gilbert is going to add the details for his hourly charge and the extra charges (30 min for travel + $25 truck charge) on his website also, so there are no surprises.

Gil is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and does great work at an honest, affordable price. After calling around to Roto Rooter and various other handymen in the Austin area and being blown away by their high prices, I was relieved to find Gil who did the work very efficiently and at way less than half the price of the other guys. We had some holes in our irrigation system and two of our showers hadn't been used in awhile and weren't working properly. After an hour, everything was working perfectly again. An all around very professional company with an honesty that is hard to come by. I highly recommend Gil and his company!

This was my first time trying out Gilbert's service after seeing the great Yelp reviews. I was looking to add an instant hot water dispenser on my sink. He came on-time, had everything he needed, and did a very clean and professional install of everything in a tight space.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Gilbert at Blue Dragon Plumbing. First of all, he managed to squeeze us into his already packed schedule the same day we called. Then, when the problem with our sink backing up turned into a more difficult issue than expected, he was still able to resolve the issue on site for a reasonable price. He is definitely our go to plumber from now on.
There's a reason Gilbert stays busy -- he's great. He does excellent work and is very fair. I'll definitely use Blue Dragon again.
I will never use another plumber for any work in Austin! After experiencing a smell that can only be called funky for a few months and having several other plumbers come check it out, Gilbert was the only one to correctly identify and correct the issue. The other guys did smoke tests incorrectly, explained that the rework the previous owners had done must be causing the problem and generally told us it would cost thousands of dollars to just identify the problem. Turns out the issue was a drain pipe that had backed up into the shower pan and simply needed to be cleaned really well. Problem gone. What impressed me most is that Gilbert could have made much more money from my ignorance, but he is as honest of a man as I have ever met. I will recommend him to everyone I know.
I would give this HORRIBLE man -5 stars if that were an option. The unprofessional, rude, abrasive and incompetent individual I have ever encountered. DO NOT HIRE. He came out, broke off his cable in my pipe and left without informing us that he has left a piece behind. The second plumber comes out and now what would have been a very simple unclogging has turned into 1,000$ of work to fix an issue that Gilbert Jimenez caused and refuses to resolve. When I became aware that this pseudo plumber Jimenez had caused me so much additional damage, I called to give him the chance to rectify the situation. Unfortunately, he screamed at me and accused my pipes of breaking his faulty old equipment. Like the pipes had ill intentions towards him. He also claimed that he wasn't the kind of plumber to remove clogs, however it clearly dictates on his website that this is a service he is licensed to provide. When I asked why he made an attempt to do something he wasn't capable or equipped to do...he hung up on. Like any mature, respectable, professional business owner would do no doubt.
I had a clog kitchen sink and found Blue Drago pluming on yelp. Gilbert is great and he came out to try root the drain line and he is very prompt and professional. He put down rug in the area to keep my kitchen floor clean. When there were even a few drop of water, he immediately wiped them clean. After two hours of rooting the drain line, my clog drain broke part of his snake and leave it unuseable. Gilbert keeps apologizing for not able to continue and refuse to charge me a penny! Wow, what a great guy with admirable integrity! There is a good reason he has over 84 5 stars rating! Thank you Gilbert.
I have yet to use this company. HOWEVER, I sent a message last night when my hot water heater went out. Gilbert called me first thing this morning. He was too busy to come today so he gave me 2 other numbers to call. I called the 1st one and had someone here by noon. Thank you so much, Gilbert! I will definitely call you again if needed.

Our faucet was leaking and after seeing all the great reviews Gilbert was receiving we thought we would give him a call. My husband and I are are so glad we did! He came out the very next day. He gave us a plumbing 101 lesson as he worked, carefully explaining everything so that we knew what he was doing. He was friendly and professional. We will definitely be calling him future projects.

I had a stopped up kitchen sink full of dirty water and debris. I found Blue Dragon on Yelp along with a few others. I gave them all a call and Gilbert was the only one who called me back right away. He thankfully squeezed my job into his busy schedule, and basically headed right over to my place despite the bad traffic (this was around 5pm). My sink is now draining perfectly. Not only is Gilbert a skilled and dependable plumber, he's a really nice guy. He'll be getting my business from now on.

I had a plugged up toilet for some time. The plumbers I spoke to said that the toilet had to be removed and it would be very expensive. A friend recommended Gilbert. He didn't have to remove the toilet, and the problem was soon solved. Plumbing services are always expensive, but Gilbert did the work for $200 less than the other estimates. I was happy to write that check! I'm on Team Blue Dragon.
Gilbert is my HERO! My neighbor's tree fell down onto our water main covers and smashed the PVC pipe and crushed the pressure regulator. My daughter was at home alone with no water, needing to take a shower for work, and running late. I told her to call Blue Dragon since Gilbert had done several jobs for us before including installing the pressure regulator just six months prior to it getting smashed by the tree trunk. Gilbert was busy with a job at the time but gave my daughter two referral numbers to call. When neither of the referral numbers answered, she called me for help. I called Gilbert to see if he had any other referral numbers since he was busy and the first two didn't answer. When I explained the whole situation, he had me text him my address and came over as soon as he was finished with his other job. Even though his dinner was waiting for him at home at the end of a long day, Gilbert tacked on my job to the end of his busy schedule and saved me from having to go to a hotel for the evening! My neighbor across the street happens to be a master plumber but I will ALWAYS call Gilbert when I need plumbing work done. He didn't even charge extra for an emergency call! Gilbert is honest, affordable, and goes out of his way to help when you're in trouble. Call him! You won't regret it!

We had Blue Dragon out to our house to install a new water heater in our house. He was fantastic! He prepared us for the installation and gave us tips for making the job cheaper. He was very knowledgable and efficient. We will use him again when we need a plumber!
Gilbert was fantastic! I called him with a minor plumbing issue and he saved me a TON of money by suggesting a do-it-yourself method. Doesn't get much better than that

I called with a minor-ish problem with my...faucet thingies that connect to the washing machine. Gilbert walked me through how to check for what was leaking and asked if I felt like I could change the supply lines because he'd hate to charge me for a very simple fix. I am actually capable of changing the supply lines (I guess I just freaked out when I saw the leak). Two thumbs up for a guy who would tell you how to fix a simple problem and NOT charge. If anything else plumbing related in my house needs help, I'll only be calling Blue Dragon.

I hate to just pile on but apparently the 5-star reviews are right. Gilbert called 30 minutes ahead of time to tell us he was on his way. Then he showed up right on time. He went above and beyond by helping us load some stuff into a trailer while he was here. He finished the job quickly and took the time to explain in laymen's terms what he had done and why. My wife insisted that I write up a 5-star for Blue Dragon and I couldn't disagree.
I have to agree with the other 5-star reviews. Glibert was efficient, effective, reasonable, and friendly. He's at the top of our list for any future needs. He was kind enough to give us preventative tips to avoid future problems.
Really excellent service --Gilbert was super professional and set up my appointment in a jiffy and when Johnny came in and replaced my toilet handle (in about 6 minutes!) he was also really friendly and efficient. Great company!

I was lucky to find Blue Dragon Plumbing. I called Gilbert on Labor Day Saturday afternoon about a hopelessly clogged kitchen sink. He came out that afternoon and cleared the drain for me with no extra charge for weekend. Gilbert also gave us tips on keeping the plumbing flowing in this old house. I am very pleased and highly recommend this company.
Cleaned out a blocked pipe on a Sunday. No extra charge for coming on a weekend. Came quick, worked fast. Couldn't be happier.
We needed to have some kitchen plumbing work done after a kitchen remodeling project. I checked Yelp reviews and took a chance on Gilbert and Blue Dragon Plumbing. Well, after an initial mix up on the date for the service, he came through for us in an excellent way. It wasn't a big job but the quality of the work is exceptional. Even when we had to purchase a new disposal, Gilbert communicated and coordinated all the work with my partner to get everything done in a timely and efficient manner. Would I use him again......you bet!!!
Gilbert came out today Easter to fix our outside faucet. After looking at how it was in the brick saved us time and expense by going through the back wall in our outside storage. It could have been very expensive to remove the brick. He even helped remove the storage items. What more could you ask . The price was very reasonable and no extra charge for a holiday. I will use him for any of our plumbing and highly recommend him.

I called at 8 AM for a backed up sink that we could not clear with a plunger or drain cleaner. Gilbert was on his way to calls but said he could get by late that day. I thought to myself, he'll call late & say he got tied up & could not make it. Quite the opposite, he called before 11 AM & said he could get by between scheduled calls then, if it met my schedule! That is amazing service! He arrived soon after, cleared the problem, and was friendly & courteous. I would highly recommend Blue Dragon Plumbing to anyone without hesitation.
I recently had a plumbing problem in my one bathroom condo. It was a Saturday and relatives from out of town were visiting so I was afraid it would not get fixed on the same day. I called one of the big name plumbing companies who said they would show up but by 7pm they were a no show in my mind. I sent family to a hotel for the the night. I got a call at 10:00 pm with an expected apology and reset appointment to Sunday morning. On Sunday morning I get a call saying that they can't make it until Monday. A discount and an apology offered was not enough for me to take my business elsewhere. Blue Dragon called back and came to the rescue. They were fast and there were no additional fees for coming out on a Sunday. I was so satisfied that I'm telling all my neighbors about this company. As a former business owner I understand the importance of treating your customers respectfully and with care. This guy totally gets it and it shows.
