My electric water heater broke down recently and left water puddles in my garage and leaked into other areas where it was originally installed.
I called Anchor plumbing for an inspection of the damaged water heater and they responded quickly, got to work on the problem right away and had a new water heater delivered, installed in matter of a few hours, they also made the transition smooth, quick, professional. I recommend their top notch water heaters and products used for my home because of their warranty backup as well. Overall I am very pleased so far with Anchor Plumbing.

We were having issues with our PRV, some drain issues and an issue with our water softener. On the initial visit with Pablo and Jerson, I was informed about all the options to fix the issues I brought to them. I discussed things with my wife, had a couple other companies come out for estimates and ultimately was just a lot more confident with Pablo and Jerson than anyone else we talked to. We were really treated well and with great respect. They did an amazing job, not only fixing everything, but also with educating us on the new products and what was being done in the process. If you need a Good, Trustworthy plumber that will do you right, call Anchor and ask for Pablo and Jerson!

We ran over our PCV valve and broke the line in our new house. Ralph came out in less than an hour, stayed after hours to fix it, explained everything to me in detail and repaired everything beautifully. I have used Anchor Plumbing multiple times over the years. During the recent freeze, the PVC pipes to the pool's automatic refill system broke. I called Anchor Plumbing after the holidays and got them scheduled. They were able to change the pipes from PVC to PEX. They were very reasonable considering the type of valves that I needed and some of the extras I needed for the type of set I had. Ralph was great and gave me several options to choose from. I have used Anchor Plumbing multiple times over the years and they have always backed up their work, reasonable and never out to screw you like some of the others out there.

I began my search for a plumber with anchor plumbing services because of how many high ratings the company received. While many mentioned their high-dollar rates, my partner and I just wanted answers! So, we invited an employee from anchor out who gave us an extremely honest assessment. He didn't believe our issue was in the plumbing, but rather that something had died in our walls. This employee called his manager and foregoed the initial evaluation fee as he had determined I needed an exterminator as opposed to a plumber. The honesty of this business has made me a lifetime customer for even the slightest inconvenience.

Hot water pressure dropped sharply in one of the showers. Sought help online, Anchor Plumbing was among the first 3 to respond, and of the 3 they were the most professional.

All my calls during office hours were answered promptly.

Worked with my schedule. They came to assess the next day.

The plumber (Joseph G.) was very thorough. Identified problem with understandable explanation. Offered options for solution. Pricing was itemized and well explained.

Joseph was extremely thorough and careful; job was not rushed, and no cut corners. He made sure the job was done perfectly.

Thorough work, left minimal demolition.

Will seek their help again for future repairs and projects.

If demolition is required to address your plumbing issue, keep in mind that *this is a plumbing company.* You'll need to find a general contractor or other specialist for non-plumbing repairs, such as wall repairs.

Anchor Plumbing came out to check our water heater for maintenance. Also, checked all the areas for drips or leaks. Found nothing. I called their main number to schedule a technician.

They provide a text and sometimes a call for when they are coming out. You get a photo and brief summary of your technician. They also offer an annual plan about $190 that waives the service fee portion of the visit.

We also had a second job done on our shower head cartridge. The work was done in about 3 hours, as our technician needed a part. He forgot to change some scalding setting so had to come back out the next day since our hot water didn't work on the handle.

They got the work done and the price was reasonable. They also did not request to do any extra work.

Cost a fortune, and took 3 times over 2 days just to fix my PRV valve. It was like 1300$. In hindsight I would have just done it myself. That's a ridiculous amount of money, let alone how long it took.

Had a wonderful experience with Anchor Plumbing today! Their communication was great, with text update and a call when the technician was on the way. They were able to get me in for a same day appointment and the technician, Brandon, was on time, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He fixed my issue (a leaking kitchen sink!) and took a look at some other plumbing items in the house just to check everything out while here. We recently bought the house, so he was able to educate me on several general plumbing items that are good to know as a new home owner and explained what we should address now vs later. I asked a lot of questions and he gave detailed explanations about what to look out for in older homes like mine. He was able to fix my issue quickly and for a great price. I also learned a lot in the time he was here! I will be calling them for all of my future plumbing needs!

Down to the wire, this company at every level from the owner, reception, consultation, service, has the customer in mind. I was very anxious to find reliable and affordable plumbing. Dakota thoroughly explained what needed to be done and gave me several options, from the most minimal cost and immediate fix of the issue, to minor/major improvements to better my plumbing after the immediate work.

My water pressure had bottomed out, I had no water softener, the problem was quickly diagnosed, there was no overselling and many options were given, Ralph and Gerson were prompt in fixing the problem same day as the consultation, and educated me on my new softener system.

From my initial response from the owner, phone call setup, in home consultation, to service was lightspeed. My water pressure, quality is beyond outstanding and the work physically is clean and not sloppy, the quality of materials and workmanship genuinely show. These guys are a must have for any of your plumbing solutions, I wouldn't call anyone else.

TLDR;
Water psi was at 30 at a faucet outside, couldn't do laundry or take a shower, do dishes, etc. Bad prv, expansion tank replacement, needed water softener to improve water quality. Quick fast service, many options to pay, different levels of improvement based on budget, no overselling or pressuring, patient, understanding, and educational service.

Post repair/install: Psi at 70, water softener improved water quality significantly, entire home is running better than ever.

This plumbing business was incredibly responsive and managed to schedule a visit same-day. The plumber who took our ticket was professional, took his time to get the job done right, seemed very knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. For the work we had done, I would have expected the total cost to be about $150 less than it ended up costing especially for the work required. Regardless, I'm going to give this business 5 stars. Responded timely to a leaking water heater same day I requested service. Staff was very professional and pleasant to work with. Very conscious of maintaining a clean work apace. Pros: prompt service. I was able to call and have someone service the leak in the same day. Staff was courteous.

Cons: pricing felt like borderline highway robbery. I had a leak just off the water meter. I exposed and discovered the leak, a pvc 90 degree even calling Anchor. I was quoted 65 dollar service fee and 668 dollars... Around 730 total to fix this l the leak. The only reason I agreed to the estimate was I didn't wish to wait another week for someone else to make it out.

TLDR: I won't be using these folks again

100% recommended! We just moved into our home and our sink in our kitchen was clogged we got in contact with Anchor plumbing and they were fast to reply! Pete arrived on time and was extremely nice! 100% recommend him!

I went to these guys because the Yelp reviews looked good. Wow, was I disappointed. These guys charged over $2,000 (Mostly labor) for a job that they told me was going to take 5 hours, but then the guy called me about 90 minutes after starting and said 'yep', we're all done'. Well I was originally impressed with their business philosophy and service. I had them come out to my house when we 1st moved in about 1 year ago to look at my water pressure assembly outside and a couple of broken toilets.
Originally I thought they did great and they advertised their high prices due to their high quality parts and service. I have found over the last year that neither was true :(
Pressure Assembly: They installed it outside the house like they should have and then check my Water Heater to drain out. They could drain bc they said it was to old which I understood so I left it at that. Then when I had a different company come out to replace my water heater, they told me when I had the pressure valve installed, the company (anchor) should have told me I needed a backflow canister etc installed...
Toilet Fixes: They I stalled new handles that coated 119.00 but BOTH broke with in a year of being installed!! NOT HIGH QUALITY AT ALL!!!
The reason I'm now just writing this review is bc all this happened over the course of the last year.

They came by and charged me $500 to run a camera down the pipes. They advised me there was a section holding water but I never heard back from anyone after that. I followed up several times with no call backs on the extent of the issue. I am having to work with another place to assist and determine if the problem is really present.

I understood from reviews here that there would be a charge to come out to give an estimate, it was $65. Dakota was on time. The purpose of this visit was to determine the house system with 2 existing water heaters in one house and another system in our guest house, water softeners for both and an RO system for the main house. I showed him the layout and the clear problems left by other plumbers as well as a new water heater I had bought, asking if it was the right one. He said it would be easy to determine the answers to all my questions and gave me verbally the sales pitch for about $13K of equipment he said he could install immediately.
I asked for written information with the options he discussed and he agreed to send, I paid him and he left. But he only sent me a proposed invoice for the items he wanted me to buy. I politely texted him for the information for the house system and the model numbers and such for the items he recommended, and asked if it would be another charge for him to come out to get those answers.
He wanted to chat on the phone, he said the system should be this or that. I stayed polite as he tried several times to faff me off. I didn't want a chat, I wanted the actual information on my house set up. Which heater serves which bathrooms? How can we determine the GPM for the tankless heater if we dont know what it serves?
I was willing to pay for another service call. He was irritated but asked when he could come back with no charge. I said sure and gave him dates within days.
He wrote a long text saying how empathetic he has been and how he's given me options some nonsense about not being able to do better over text and backhandedly fired me as a client. No return date. At least he said he would refund my $65.
So I am learning about these plumbers in San Antonio. They just want to sell you their equipment, they dont have the confidences in their products or service to answer relevant questions.
From reviews it looks like they may actually do good work and install good items, but I'll be doing my own research on the items and using plumbers who will answer questions.

Dakota and Dakota were knowledgeable and professional. We had a 2nd floor leak that needed to be addressed to find out our pressure was too hitch which was most likely causing the issue. Also turned out our water heater was about 3 years too old. Imagine my surprise when Dakota said he'd be able to get a team here and have everything taken care of within 3-4 hours. Absolutely amazing work and answered any and all questions I had through the process.

My water heater went kaput and flooded the side of the house. My wife and I were so stressed with another appliance going out. To call someone, it takes time and then you worry about the financial aspect as well. So who are we to call, will it take several days to come out, do you have to miss work to fit in the window they give you? Those questions arose when we started to thumb around, looking for a reliable plumber. You have heard the commercials and the big names, but we know that would be expensive. So we across Anchor Plumbing Services. They responded quickly. It took about an hour after we made the call to the time of their arrival. We were greeted by two men, Brandon and Mason who are some of the nicest Gents you'll ever meet. They were very industrious, polite, and communicative with our needs and helped us in every way. I never had servicemen who were so prompt and well trained, they took away all our stresses and made us at ease. The price was a lot less than major competitors but more so they gave us peace of mind, which is priceless.

I called Anchor based on the Yelp review rating and I admit they arrived same day at the time stated. All I had was two leaking faucets in the same bathroom and I just wanted to fix the leaks. Unfortunately the tech that arrived simply pulled the handles off in the shower and said he couldn't identify the brand. He didn't even bother to pull the stems out to see if a simple rubber o-ring would fix the issue. Instead he immediately went to complete replacement recommendation at a cost of $1037 bucks. And he didn't even look at the sink. He just recommended complete replacement on that one for a cost of $512 bucks.
I politely declined his recommendations and paid a $65 dollar service call. All that was accomplished was a few pictures and the removal of three shower handles which was something I could have done myself.
So for timely response in arriving quickly Anchor Plumbing rates very well. As for work performed while at the job and providing realistic recommendations they rate pretty low in my opinion. I mean, really? Not to even remove one stem to assess the actual problem before moving to a $1000 dollar repair? Come on. Really?

So I called them out because my faucet was leaking. Their technician came out, he was really nice and he also recommended that in addition to fixing my faucet I would need to fix something else that's messing with my water pressure. $1400 later, my faucet is still leaking. Same technician came out, still leaking. They told me it was the faucet I bought and that I would need to get another one. I did and they installed it, still leaked a bit, I asked them for other plumbers to come then they came out and did something else and it finally stopped leaking. No refunds or anything which I feel like if my old faucet and the new faucet leaked maybe the problem wasn't my faucet but they would say it was the faucets fault and not them. Well since this situation I've called them to check out the same faucet because of the hot water not heating up as fast as it did before, they told me they would have the supervisor contact me and he never did. I guess I'm black listed cause I asked if they were blind and couldn't see a leak. *shrugs*

Contacted Anchor Plumbing Services for a quote on June 4, 2020 at 8:58 PM.

Informed a representative by the name of Paul A. that I would like (1) my old 3/4-inch copper sweat fitting shutoff valve to be replaced with a 3/4-inch male adapter fitting + 3/4-inch ball valve; (2) replace corrugated copper tubes with 3/4-inch stainless steel water supply lines + thread them onto new ball valve; and (3) connect water lines to water softener using adapters (e.g., 1 threaded coupling, 1 x 3/4 threaded bushing, 3/4 nipple).

8 hours and 30 minutes later, Paul A. replied requesting clarification on whether I am hooking up to a new softener or the one in the picture I had sent him. After I told him it would be to a new softener, he quickly replied, Ok gotcha! Our cost to do what your asking is app 288.00 and that is with all material as well.

I, then, requested that we schedule an appointment. Again, he promptly replied, Absolutely, can you send me your address and contact number and I'll book it.

On the afternoon of our scheduled appointment at 12:05 PM, I contacted Paul A. to inquire about the expected arrival of the plumber and whether the plumber would call me before arriving. Paul A. assured me, Should be within the hour but we will call prior to our arrival.

Indeed. At 12:27 PM, two male plumbers from Anchor Plumbing Services arrived, started, and finished before 1:20 PM.

It has been 65 days since then and the shutoff valve is still working. I successfully used it to shut off water to the house on several occasions, that is, to repair pipes, toilets, and install a pressure reducing valve below the 3/4-inch ball valve.

With regard to soldering quality, it is sloppy but effective. It has observable runs, but the temperature was good and seems to have fully penetrated. Aesthetically speaking, the soldering could have been made to look a little nicer, but my primary concern is reliability. Thus I am still awarding Anchor Plumbing Service a 5-star rating.

On a final note, I am unable to find the hex nipple 3/4 male NPT I had installed on the corrugated copper pipes before the plumbers' visit. I think the plumbers may have inadvertently taken it away as they were hauling the old pipes to their truck. Nonetheless, it is only an $8.00 part, so I will not hold that against their 5-star rating.

Highly recommend this company!!

I'm not even going to go into the issues we've had with our Townhome HOA. This isn't a review for them. But because of the ridiculous HOA we got to see how well Anchor dealt with estimates, scheduling (and rescheduling) and communicating.

The work was done with care and done quickly. We even received pictures of all of the steps completed.

Anchor is the most professional plumbing company I've ever dealt with. No run arounds, they answer when you call, show up on time and all of the employees (especially Chris M. and the kind and patient person that helped with scheduling) are super personable!

Came out for a tub faucet leak. I provided the part, a cartridge. Plumber changed out cartridge and that did not correct problem. Original cartridge still looked like new but bc they changed it out they still charged me $265.00 and they kept my original cartridge valued at $200 or more that didn't even need to be changed.
Then I was told it MIGHT be the valve that needs to be fixed and was quoted an additional $1200.
I didn't feel confident they new what the problem was to be fixed. I've got other quotes and so far all have been less to repairs a valve.

I noticed my water heater had a slow leak and was beginning to pool in my garage. Checked Yelp for the best plumbers in San Antonio and Anchor was right up there. I called and Liz set me up with an appointment window for that afternoon. She was very friendly and helpful on the phone. The technicians called me when they were on the way, giving me about a 25 minute notice. They were able to determine the issue and give me a course of action quickly. They offer a military discount as well.

What an absolutely great company to work with. We had to replace our water heater and decided to get a few quotes on it. Anchor responded the same day and set an appointment for the next business day. When they came to give us a quote, we let them know that we still had a couple more quotes to get so we weren't deciding right then.

Brandon, our tech, proceeded to give us tips and questions to ask the OTHER companies to ensure we were getting the best quality from them. He educated us on verbiage he was using and that the other companies may say to get us to pay more. Instead of getting cold and finishing the quote quickly, they stayed for 5-10 minutes to give us this information and answer any of our questions.

We recieved a few quotes that were under and above what Anchor quoted but we could not get past the quality and customer service of these folks. We went with Anchor, scheduled the installation, and in about 2 hours they were done! They even took off the door where the water heater was located for us (the room was too small for the water heater on our end, not theirs).

It's a couple weeks and our water is feeling good feeling great!

Overall, it was an extremely pleasant experience and I would have no doubts going back to them for any of our plumbing needs. Great company!

I approached Anchor for a quote to install a tankless water heater. It took a while to connect with the right person to discuss the job, and every time I called I had to start over, describe my project, and give my contact info, even though I talked to the same individual each time. They eventually scheduled an appointment for an in-person quote but nobody came. No call before or after or any attempt to follow up.

Keep in mind this happened after the crazy winter storm of 2021, and I'm sure they were quite busy with water damage work. Still, they were not organized, so I went with a different group.

Our master bathroom shower was leaking into our kitchen. I called several different plumbers, but Anchor was not only the cheapest for a service call but also they could come out the next morning. Dakota and Alex showed up right at 9 am, Dakota was very knowledgeable and explained what our options were but also what he would recommend in our case. They repiped our shower for us in a matter of a few hours, we have a new valve and no more leaks! My Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) went out on Sunday night! Made an appointment with Anchor Plumbing first thing the next morning for between noon and 4:00pm that day. I got a phone call at around 9:00am saying they could come early. Adam & Tyler showed up enthusiastic about the job and explained everything and made recommendations to consider. The pricing was reasonable, considering the extra work that needed to be done! They finished up the work in about 2 hrs and even found the time to take care of my neighbor as well! Really great customer service! I had a massive hair/ soap scum clog in my shower that I had already attempted to remove on my own (took out the shower guard and vacuumed out everything I could) but was still standing in a pool with every shower. They were able remove the clog in a little under an hour, stayed to make sure the drain stayed clear several minutes, and gave me some product recommendations. Very professional, efficient, and friendly. Thanks Pete! Of note, I did thing the clog removal was a little pricy ($280) but hopefully it stays gone for a while.

Contacted Anchor for a simple quote for a standard hydrostatic test. Person answering the phone said that only a technician could give pricing and that was only by meeting them at the house. Have gotten other quotes over the phone and online without a problem from competitors, I will not be using Anchor. Why would I spend my time to go out and meet their technician for a job that is easy to give a quote on and potentially waste my time if I don't agree to/like their price?

Update: After seeing my initial 2 star review, received a call from the technician who was able to give me a quote. Updating my review to 4 stars since they took the time to call me back.

We hired Anchor Plumbing to hook up our sink and garbage disposal after new countertop install. The beat other quotes we got by over $200. The quality of work was excellent. Unfortunately they showed up for the install maskless. When I asked if they were vaccinated they said no so I asked them to wear masks. They didn't even have masks with them! We had to give them two of our disposable masks. So despite the websites claim of techs wearing protective gear, it isn't happening, not even among their unvaccinated staff. This home is my father's home, who died from COVID, making this a pretty offensive lapse in everyone's safety. If they did it at my house, they are for sure walking boldly into every other clients house unvaccinated and unmasked.

Pete and Ralph installed 4 new toilets in our home and a new faucet, strainer, and disposal for our kitchen sink. They also set our home pressure back to normal. Our shower hot water stopped working and I needed a new water heater. The company responded first in my Yelp request for help and came out the following day to fix my shower and replace the water heater. They also installed a new water softener in the house which was badly needed. I really was impressed with the work that Kameron Joseph and his team provided for my house and will be going back to them for all services. Due to amount of work, the job was pricy but I expected that due to what was needed. The company offered easy financing and I was able to get all my problems fixed and now have a peace of mind about my water issues with the older home I have. I have them quote a very simple job requiring them to undo a straight string of simple plumbing remove and replace. Their quote was 10 times what I thought it should be.
I will never request their services again because their costs are way out of line with reality.
I finally found a plumbe (Will fix it) that did the job for 1/2 of their lowest quote.
They do have very big nice trucks however.
Based on cost I will give them a zero out of 10 rating.

The technicians are friendly. However the technicians are more sales persons than plumbers: (1) The $289 diagnosis fee is totally a rip off. The whole diagnosis simply involved opening a tiny hole on dry wall, and poking in a LED camera for some inconclusive images. Anchor Plumbing will refund 50% of this $289 diagnosis fee if they are haired for the project. Apparently, the company uses this $289 fee as bait, so that customers will spend more money with them. (2) the technicians are well trained to take advantage of customer's insufficient knowledge in plumbing and eagerness to have the issues fixed. The technicians saved no effort guiding customers to believe blooming a couple hundred-dollar small repair into thousands of dollars large repair is a better option. Anchor Plumbing has no interest to work on a small project, unless customers accept their inflated proposal. It is clear Anchor Plumbing prioritizes their interest over customer's. Please have a second thought before reaching out to Anchor Plumbing.

Had two water heaters and one was leaking water and had no Idea who to reach out to repair. I looked on Yelp and found Anchor Plumbing . Henry and Taylor came out and explained the problem, provided a quote and replaced both WH's, which BTW were located in the attic of our two story house and it had to be at least 110 degrees up there, so they get extra kudos for that. They got the job completed super fast and Both were very professional, ensuring that everything was done and cleaned up.

I had a clogged drain from my washing machine and Adam and Taylor came to get the job done.. They did an outstanding job diagnosing the problem. I watched as the camera went down the pipe and saw the debri that was clogging it up. They were able to get the machine on the roof and get my clog unstoppable. They were very professional. I really appreciated their customer service from the text showing a picture of who they are with a description about them to a phone call that they were on the way. My house was built in 1983. I bought it in 2010 to take advantage of the tax breaks that year on new home buys. The owner had remodeled quite a bit so the place was still in good shape. One thing he'd ignored were the master bath fixtures. Well, after eight years of tolerating em, I decided it's time to update.

Ran thru my local Home Depot, and found a couple I thought would work perfectly. I actually pondered changing em out myself. In fact, I'd set out one day over the holiday to do just that. After crawling under the sink about 10 minutes I decided this wasn't for me.

I usually use another local plumbing company but, much like government contracting, I believe it's important to spread the business around. I return to my faithful Yelp search engine for recos. Surely, I come upon the listing for Anchor. I peruse the reviews then use the handy Yelp tool to request quotes. Anchor was the most reasonable...by about 15%! Now, I don't know if it'd be that way every time, but it was this one.

I email back for a time, they're available the next morning. I confirm everything thru the Yelp app. The gent, Henry, calls to confirm they'll be over in a half hour which was the originally scheduled time, and there he was right on time.

I meet Henry and Dakota at the door, show em to the restroom, and leave em to their work. In less than an hour, I have two new faucets installed with no trace they were ever there. Henry walks me thru a couple important things and off they go, and I'm back to my day.

I had used Anchor Plumbing in the past with great results, and had even recommended them to others. I accidentally turned off my water heater and could not get it relit, so when it came time to call for repair, I called them first.

They scheduled an appointment and said they would arrive 10am . That would have worked for me. The day before the appointment they sent me a text saying that they would show up between 10 and 12. So, not 10 am as agreed? It's kinda like not dealing off the top of the deck, right, but ...ok.

So I sat around for two hours thinking... Is this the Spectrum cable guy or what. He was a no-show. Well, I've already missed two hours of work so...

I received a call later, but I was already busy making up for lost time, and said they could try and reschedule if they wanted, but didn't appreciate them not keeping their word. Never heard anything else from them.

Naturally, I wasn't going to waste time calling them again, so I called ABC Services, they came out the same day, promptly, and showed up when they said they would, and quickly and efficiently fixed the problem, and gave me an estimate for future work. And they didn't charge me for their effort or waste my time. ABC Services is awesome, Anchor was not.

I called them out to fix a leaking hose bib, but that turned into a big repair to the pressure valve. They checked the pressure and realized it was high and confirmed it with a test. I already knew I had a potential valve problem because a previous plumber stated it could possibly be going out, but didn't run a test like Anchor did. The price was fair considering the work they had to do. Adam and his assistant were very nice and patient and didn't rush or push me into doing something I didn't want. I would recommend them going forward. I hope I don't need a plumber soon (no offense), but if I do I will be calling Anchor.

Great attitude!! Initially, the quote for purchase and installation of an ADA compliant toilet seemed high, but it was comparable to the purchase + Installation from a big box store. The single biggest benefit was that I just had Achilles surgery and they were able to leave and pick up the proper toilet to install with a few hours. Henry and Alex showed up on schedule and fixed my plumbing problem. Thinking outside the box, they bypassed a leaking pipe in the pad by finding another way to get water from here to there. Minimally invasive rerouting leaving me with some easy sheet rock repair makes getting back to normal easier. Realistically priced, the final tally was spot on the quote for an out of pocket (for me) job. They did great work and even my dogs liked them. Anchor Plumbing was recommended to us by our realtor. My Flume noted a water leak and I discovered a wet area in the front yard. I called Anchor and they sent Pete out very quickly. Pete diagnosed the problem as a split pressure regulating valve. I also asked him to fix a leaky hose bib. We did end up electing to replace our two aging water tanks and bringing everything related to that up to code. Shortly after that work we noted a problem with our toliet and washing machine. Pete came back out again and discovered our water softener was leaking resin. He walked us through our options and was very patient as we mulled over what to do. We ultimately decided to replace the water softener. Pete was very dilligent at ensuring that all of our water fixtures in the home, including the malfunctioning washing machine and toliet we fixed. I really appreciate Pete's professionalism, patience, and excellent communication skills. Yes our repair work was ultimately expensive but I felt their pricing was fair. Noticed late evening Wed 1/5/22 two outdoor spigot pipes apparently froze/cracked and were leaking. Called Anchor first thing Thu morning 830ish 1/6/22 hoping for speedy service. Luckily they quickly scheduled me for same day service between 12-4 which I was grateful to secure. Love that I was asked if I prefer the technician mask-up in which I replied YES for sure and that I will certainly have mine on too. Protect you-protect me....what a concept. Thank you Anchor for this health first approach-too many businesses out there treat this pandemic time we are in like any other day-shameful. Anyway-Anchor called me 1.5 hours later to advise they can do it much sooner now as availability opened up. Brandon arrived at 1030-impressive! Masked-up Brandon performed a thorough analysis and provided me with options. Brandon ultimately took care of the issue, was highly efficient, knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. The price was reasonable and the work was done with quality and care. Have used Anchor twice before for a water heater install and pipe replacement with Dakota and Henry. They dazzled me then and Brandon today was equally as impressive. Thanks for another great experience Anchor-classy operation. We had a toilet that needed replacing as it would no longer seal and ran constantly. Went through Yelp and hooked up with Anchor plumbing services. As it was not an emergency, we scheduled for the next morning. Brandon (Jason) and Adam came on time, diagnosed the problem and we ended up having a new one installed. They went and got a new one, changed out the old one, installed, cleaned and took out the old one. All in under 2 hours! And even though the price was high, it was less than it would cost at Home Depot to purchase an entire system.

I have nothing but good things to say about Jason and Adam. They were very friendly, competent and even went to the other bathrooms to let us know if we needed to replace or rebuild each toilet was a very nice gesture. I would definitely use Anchor Plumbing again for our plumbing needs. Thanks guys.

I scheduled an appointment for someone to come out and check out the condition of the plumbing on an older duplex I am purchasing. The lady on the phone said it would be $65 but when the tech came out it magically turned into $188. He said it was the piece of mind package. Only problem is he didn't get under the house like we asked or answer any questions we had. He basically walked around the house for 10 minutes and didn't look at anything we asked him to. So we ask him what he thinks a ballpark price is to update some on the water lines and he says around $6,500 and he would send us over a quote. So we are on day 4 after the appointment with no quote so I have to call to check and I had another guy tell me he can only give me an estimated bid since he doesn't have any measurements or much info. Which is weird because I paid $188 to have one of their techs come out to get measurements and get us a detailed quote. And to top everything off that $6,500 verbal quote turned into $45,000 which he said was on the low end. All and all this was the worst experience I have every had with a contractor and I deal with a lot of different companies being in real estate. I asked them to refund my money but they never did so beware when you use this company. Their lack of knowledge and customer service makes me wonder how they have such good reviews but steer clear. I ended up using Tiezte and my experience was much better and they only charged me $49 and actually did a full inspection

I'm giving 2.5 stars bases on Yelp's description of the stars. I will recommend to folks where cost is not an issue.

Gist: $540 ($490 with Military Discount) to replace a Pressure Reducing Valve. The job took 1 hr from knock on the door to payment. So that is 85.00 for the part and $405/hr labor (w/ fuel & prorated business costs).

Call for quote before replacing PRV if you have the following: Jack hammer sound when flushing any toilet or running any faucet. I took the steps to clear a water hammer but the problem continued.

Cons:
- Cost (Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me)

Your guy was great, he had the problem diagnosed as I was describing it. I'm guessing because he had the new part in his car that this is a fairly common issue.

Is this the first time you have replaced a PRV valve in the new residential Alamo Ranch Area? No, probably not. Valve was 8 inch below the surface and easily accessible.

He knew this was a quick job but I didn't. I asked how long it takes on average and he said I don't know, we have to dig. I asked him how much that part normally runs and he said he didn't know because you don't buy from Home Depot.

Average cost w/ labor online in 350. Add the 350 plus the 65.00 you charge for the visit without service, that is 415. It was worth it, at that point, to spend the 75$ just to have it done now. Again, I didn't know the cause before you came out, otherwise I would have compared quotes.

I would prefer that in the future you ask a fair price for jobs you have a good understanding of, not the I don't know, maybe it could cost 1 to 3 hour price. That is the difference between 2.5 (ok) and 5 stars (great).

Fun fact: Brain Surgeons make $175/hr. on average.

The day after we closed on our house, we had water shooting out of a pipe in our front yard! Not a good welcome to the neighborhood. Anchor Plumbing was able to quickly get us on their schedule and fix the issue. They were extremely polite and professional on the phone and when doing the repairs. Will most definitely call them for any future needs!!

Paul has been our go to person for plumbing services for almost two decades. When he started his business many years ago, I did not hesitate to make the switch. He and his company have provided many services over the years from installation of fixtures to emergency repairs, and in doing so, has never failed to provide the superior advice and services. Paul and his crew are as honest and experienced as they come. Just recently, Dakota and Mason came out to the house to address my water pressure issues. They were professional and completed the evaluation and service in a timely manner. Dakota and Mason are definitely on my request list when I call for appointments. We experienced a partial clog yesterday evening after hours. I called 1st thing this morning and Adam was out to my residence same day within a few hours. Service was top notch and the repairs were affordable. Adam did great and was able to provide multiple solutions to the problem I had.

I'm giving 2.5 stars bases on Yelp's description of the stars. I will recommend to folks where cost is not an issue.

Gist: $540 ($490 with Military Discount) to replace a Pressure Reducing Valve. The job took 1 hr from knock on the door to payment. So that is 85.00 for the part and $405/hr labor (w/ fuel & prorated business costs).

Call for quote before replacing PRV if you have the following: Jack hammer sound when flushing any toilet or running any faucet. I took the steps to clear a water hammer but the problem continued.

Cons:
- Cost (Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me)
- Plays word games when doing reputation management

Is this the first time you have replaced a PRV valve in the new residential Alamo Ranch Area? No, probably not. Valve was 8 inch below the surface and easily accessible.

He knew this was a quick job but I didn't. I asked how long it takes on average and he said I don't know, we have to dig. I asked him how much that part normally runs and he said he didn't know because you don't buy from Home Depot.

Average cost w/ labor online in 350. Add the 350 plus the 65.00 you charge for the visit without service, that is 415. It was worth it, at that point, to spend the 75$ just to have it done now. Again, I didn't know the cause before you came out, otherwise I would have compared quotes.

I would prefer that in the future you ask a fair price for jobs you have a good understanding of, not the I don't know, maybe it could cost 1 to 3 hour price. That is the difference between 2.5 (ok) and 5 stars (great).

He was thorough in his job and communicated well. The company then presented us with three quotes from which we could choose. After the solution was chosen he went right to work. He did not stop till the project was complete and everything was properly tested.

Your guy was great, he had the problem diagnosed as I was describing it. I'm guessing because he had the new part in his car that this is a fairly common issue.

Is this the first time you have replaced a PRV valve in the new residential Alamo Ranch Area? No, probably not. Valve was 8 inch below the surface and easily accessible.

He knew this was a quick job but I didn't. I asked how long it takes on average and he said I don't know, we have to dig. I asked him how much that part normally runs and he said he didn't know because you don't buy from Home Depot.

Average cost w/ labor online in 350. Add the 350 plus the 65.00 you charge for the visit without service, that is 415. It was worth it, at that point, to spend the 75$ just to have it done now. Again, I didn't know the cause before you came out, otherwise I would have compared quotes.

I would prefer that in the future you ask a fair price for jobs you have a good understanding of, not the I don't know, maybe it could cost 1 to 3 hour price. That is the difference between 2.5 (ok) and 5 stars (great).

Fun fact: Brain Surgeons make $175/hr. on average.

We found this business to be very responsive. Their representative, Adam Purvis was very knowledgeable and made an extra effort to educate me in the operations of the equipment he was there to check. He was thorough in his job and communicated well. The company then presented us with three quotes from which we could choose. After the solution was chosen he went right to work. He did not stop till the project was complete and everything was properly tested.

The day after we closed on our house, we had water shooting out of a pipe in our front yard! Not a good welcome to the neighborhood. Paul has been our go to person for plumbing services for almost two decades. When he started his business many years ago, I did not hesitate to make the switch. He and his company have provided many services over the years from installation of fixtures to emergency repairs, and in doing so, has never failed to provide the superior advice and services. Paul and his crew are as honest and experienced as they come. Just recently, Dakota and Mason came out to the house to address my water pressure issues. They were professional and completed the evaluation and service in a timely manner. Dakota and Mason are definitely on my request list when I call for appointments. I'm giving 2.5 stars bases on Yelp's description of the stars. I will recommend to folks where cost is not an issue.

Gist: $540 ($490 with Military Discount) to replace a Pressure Reducing Valve. The job took 1 hr from knock on the door to payment. So that is 85.00 for the part and $405/hr labor (w/ fuel & prorated business costs).

Call for quote before replacing PRV if you have the following: Jack hammer sound when flushing any toilet or running any faucet. I took the steps to clear a water hammer but the problem continued.

Cons:
- Cost (Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me)

Wow! Wow! I couldn't be more pleased with the wonderful jobs Brandon and EB did at my home today. They arrived when they said they would and were gone 45 minutes later. The guts in the toilet tank has been replaced and the hose bib outside replaced. They were very polite and considerate of my COVID-19 protocols and practiced their own as well. Masks were worn at all times and they wore gloves and booties in the house.
The price ran about $285. And I will be very interested in using this company again.

Our family had a wonderful experience with anchor plumbing services. I have multiple health problems and a sudden change for the negative forced me to reach out about having a brand new toilet installed. We have had only one functioning restroom for a number of years. Having a 2nd was truly only going to be a luxury but given my circumstances it was something that needed to happen and needed to be as affordable as possible. I'm out of work, we had to do this only on my husband paycheck alone.

Anchor plumbing reached out to me quickly after I contacted them with a quote. They answered all my questions, addressed all my concerns, and were flexible with price. Having strangers come into your home during the time of a worldwide pandemic is not anything we take lightly, especially with my compromised immune system.

The gentleman that came to my home were professional, and extremely sanitary. They were covered from head to toe, wore face masks, gloves, pull tie suits, covered their shoes, changed out their gloves periodically and put my anxieties at rest. I felt respected as a client and I plan on contacting them any time in the future for any other jobs. I also plan on referring them to anyone needing plumbing work in their household.

Being a new homeowner, I never knew the amount of things I DIDN'T know, such as how to install a water softener system to a pre-plumbed house. Well needless to say, after 2 hours of setting it up and getting it ready to hook up, I needed help with connecting it to the plumbing system. Anchor Plumbing Services provided a reasonable quote, quick service and the two who came to install were extremely professional.
On top of installing the water softener system to the house, one of the two installers also helped me with securing a washing machine hose which had come out of the wall during a wash cycle and spilled water everywhere throughout my house while I was out. The technician was nice enough to explain how the issue can happen and secured it for me with a zip tie...adding peace of mind and gaining information on how to prevent that from happening again.
Fast forward three months, I received a letter from Paul Arguijo stating during an audit they noticed I had been overcharged and sent me back a check. This not only shows the integrity of this company but that they truly appreciate their customers. I almost feel bad taking the refund since they charged me less for the install (since it was already put together and I had all the supplies), put in the 5 bags of salt afterwards (which those things are not light) and secured a water hose for me without question. Thank you Anchor Plumbing! You have a customer for life!

Clint and Brandon were so incredibly efficient and professional. Ultimately saved me $2,000 based on the initial quote I received from Bonney for a water heater install (with me providing my own unit). They were VERY friendly and explained the whole process. This is the third time in 2 years we have used Anchor. The first was 2 years ago, ONE day before Christmas Eve when I was expected a house full of guests for Christmas.... Out goes the water heater! Four hours after I called, the crew arrived, replaced the water heater, and had me ready for guests! Since then, we had a scheduled water softener replaced by them. And most recently, an emergency clog in our kitchen sink fixed by Brandon Adkins. He took care of our problem speedily! Anchor is quick, courteous, and very reasonably priced. I live in Austin, Texas and my elderly mother lives in San Antonio. She contacted me to let me know that she didn't have any hot water in her house. My father passed away two years ago and she was heavily reliant upon him taking care of things like this. So by doing some quick research online, I came across Anchor Plumbing Services that had the best reviews and recommendations.

Paul was the one who answered my call and he listened to the details. He easily could have told me that they couldn't send anyone out until the next day, however, he told me that he would call me right back because he wanted to check with the technician that he had out in the field to see if they could swing it. In less than five minutes, Paul called me back to let me know that Henry and Dakota would swing by my mothers house after they left a job that they were currently on. This is very impressive and is a reflection on why all of the reviews about this company are nothing less than stellar.

Paul, you and your business are the epitome of what customer service and satisfaction are all about. I am writing this review before you guys even go out to my mothers house--I am THAT confident that you will treat her as if she was your own mother. I needed a shut off valve for the gas line so I could use my new gas range as I was switching from electric to gas. Anchor came out the next day and installed the shut off valve and gas line to reach my new range. They could have stopped there as that was all they were required to do, but they hooked up the range, made sure there were no leaks and removed all the packaging from the range. They then realized that I didn't have the correct outlet behind my range. Since I wasn't moved into the home yet I didn't have an extension cord to plug in the range. They went to their truck, got an extension cord, and proceeded to verify that the range was properly working before they left. They definitely went above and beyond! Thank you for a great job!!

Be sure to get another quote! Anchor quoted me $1800 + $65 service fee to replace a manabloc that was leaking. I found the exact replacement part from the manufacturer for only $195 with free shipping, then had another plumber install in less than 1.5 hours. Price gouging at its worst!

Most of what I said about Anchor, when they were a little guy and had only 80 reviews, is yet unchanged at 300+ review level, but today I am lowering my rating by 1 star, because (like a few others have posted) Anchor is no longer price competitive. I recently referred them to a relative, and Anchor quoted the relative $4000 for a typical garage water heater install and a simple bathroom faucet replacement, which I feel is nothing short of greed, and WELL ABOVE other quotes received. In addition, in a referral to my Uncle just a few months back, they quoted $550 to fix a leak in a copper hose bib connection (in the water main flow). Believing in their honesty, and under the duress of my 104 year old uncle being without any water, I agreed. But the repair and remounting of the pipe, which the plumber accessed as a MEDIUM, turned out to take them ONLY about 1 hour. How is that $550? And just the other day, Anchor completed a call to my house to attempt to locate a hidden leak (exposed by our Flume). My wife explained on the phone that we had already ruled out leaking in the house and thought the issue is most likely a water leak under the driveway or in the foundation, and then repeated this again to the plumber (4 bullets I had written out, of how we had already completed a systematic house inspection for the leak), yet Anchor plumbers took the call ONLY to eventually tell us they had no technology (other than to systematically dig up the entire water main) to locate such a leak. They were fine charging us their $65 travel charge for essentially accomplishing NOTHING (other than to double check my assessment). In a way, I am good with it, because they did in fact spend near an hour with their investigation, which for $65 is a plumbing value. But in the end, their recent high estimates and this communication breakdown, have discouraging us from selecting them as our plumber of choice in the future. In fact, we just tried out another plumber to repair this current leak, which we ultimately located, without the leak detection company Anchor suggested.

Just a few days after moving into our new house I noticed our downstairs toilet about to overflow when the washing machine was draining and I freaked! I googled some plumbers in my area and chose Anchor Plumbing based on the great reviews. The two gentlemen that came out the very next day were super professional and very knowledgeable on what needed to be fixed. I even had them come back out to replace an upstairs toilet with a brand new one and that second visit was just as great! Our toilet overflowed twice in the middle of the night on a Saturday night. We had previously used Anchor Plumbing Services after a bottle was flushed down the toilet (thank you my toddler boys) and we had been impressed and called them back for service to our plumbing system. Definitely did not live up to their ratings. Replaced a hot water recirculating unit. Never checked to see if it was recirculating hot water. It didn't work. Called the manufacture and was told the water heater just needed flushing out the tank. Save your money, call another plumber who knows their craft.

The kitchen garbage disposal was clogged. Anchor Plumbing Services responded to a Yelp quote request the night before and were able to provide service early the following morning. They were very professional, wore protective gear, such as masks, gloves and boot coverings. Great services! We called at 11:00 AM and they were on the way in half an hour. We ended up replacing both toilets. They went back to the shop, got the toilets, put them in, realized one seat was broken so brought us a new one. Whole process took a couple of hours. It was great! Professional guys, explained things without mansplaining. the last time we called a plumber, it took them over a week to come for a non-emergency. Highly recommend!

Called Anchor for a minor urgency. They were very courteous and prompt. They went out to my parents house, assessed the situation and fixed the issue. Plumbing is never cheap so yes the bill was a little high but due to the issue I expected that. They were very nice and helped us with a senior discount as my parents are in their 80's and on a fixed income so this helped out tremendously. Then when I needed the receipt to submit to the insurance my elderly dad could not remember what he did with it. Called Henry Sauceda with Anchor plumbing and he immediately sent me a copy via email. I can't say enough about how helpful they were before, during and after their work.

I had a water softener installed by another company who found a pre-existing leak they could not fix. I called Anchor Plumbing and these guys were out there within 30 minutes, fixed it, no haggle, quick, and very professional. What's funny is that I found Anchor plumbing on my own through yelp. My water heater was not producing any hot water so I called my home warranty service (American Home Shield). The plumber that came out just took a quick look at my water heater and did not do any type of diagnostic, and said that I needed to replace it. I was then quoted $1300 of out of pocket expense for work they said was needed not covered by AHS.

I didn't feel comfortable with what they were telling my so I decided to get a second opinion. I called Anchor Plumbing based on all the positive reviews. First of all, I didn't expect them to come the same day much less within an hour, but they did! I met Paul and Alex at the house, both were very professional and knowledgeable. Explained what happened, and stressed that I'm on a limited budget. Within 15 minutes they had my water heater running!! They did what the first company didn't do - they diagnosed the issue and determined that the thermostat was issue. If I didn't call Anchor, I would have been out so much money for something that didn't need to be done. I appreciate your excellent customer service and professionalism. You've got a lifetime customer!

We discovered a leak over the weekend and called Anchor based on previous customer's reviews. I'm really glad we did. Anchor was responsive, received a call from Liz within 10min for an appointment. They were very accommodating and worked to get us an early time. I received a text with our journeyman licensed plumbers name, Brandon A. and that he was on his way. Immediately after Brandon called letting us know he was en route in about 5min and he was at our door within the 2hr window given by Anchor. Great communication and were here when they say they would be. Brandon is friendly, professional, and was thorough in locating the leak, explained all his actions and asked for our permission to proceed with repairs. We are very pleased with his work and knowledge, grateful for guys like him who take pride in their work, enjoy what they do, and do it really well. He was so good, my wife asked him if he could take care of a couple more repairs, which he did willingly. Anchor is a great company. So we had a variety of odd plumbing jobs come up (we bought a beautiful older home with plenty of quirks) and it included a sink full of standing water (ew) in the kitchen. Had a water softener and water heater installed by Anchor (Alec) - great work and fair prices- the owner is great to work with (Paul) and the plumber (Alec) is terrific and is always willing to answer all my other plumbing questions. You can probably get a cheaper price at Home Depot or Loews, but the quality of service and upgraded equipment they install is a better value in the long term.

So many pros to list....
1) answered phone each time I called (great communication)
2) bumped me up on the waiting list a day in advance
3) job was done clean, in a timely manner and perfect.
4) I wasn't home when the service was being performed but my wife was. The tech spoke to me over the phone and I asked my wife to take pictures of work being done. Better yet... the tech took pictures of before and after and sent them to me from his phone. That shows confidence and accountability and that goes a long way with me.
5) price was fair in my opinion. I didn't get other estimates because I felt I didn't need to nor did I care to pay someone less money because of all the reasons above.

The work that took place was repairing a leak at the main valve. This required digging about 15 inches and replacing a section of old rusted pipe with pvc and fittings. No more leak!

If there was any con.... it would be that there's a waiting list, but if there's a waiting list for something, there's probably a good reason why.

Our house fell victim to the most recent winter storm. Pipes busted and water run down the ceiling. Anchor Plumbing Service was able to send help in shortest time. Since the pipes were above the ceiling and behind the wall, it takes experience and skills to reveal the leaks. I called Anchor and they were able to come within just a couple hours. Brandon and Pete showed up, all I can say is WOW! I am so pleased with them. They fixed a silly problem I had been having with our new shower heads for the last 6 months, in 10 minutes. And fixed one of the toilets. They were punctual, super polite, professional, and got straight to work. If I ever needed a plumber again, I would recommend Anchor, and request Brandon and Pete by name.

I have to say, I was a bit skeptical reaching out to a plumber on a Sunday through Yelp after reading the reviews.

I called this morning to have some check on my low water pressure I have been having. The kind lady on the phone gave the timeframe. The two gentleman that arrive gave a call and were on time. They quickly diagnosed the problem and also gave a history of the area I live in and some of the common problems. While checking the pressure valve in the ground they even removed a live snake. They changed the valve and added expanded water tanks quickly and efficiently and were priced right. What better service could you ask for. I will definitely use them again. Anchor Plumbing has been awesome so far. Since I moved into our new home in 2016, we have had a few Plumbing issues, but I've called our (sad excuse of a) home warranty company for repairs. As one would expect, a typical pipe issue isn't covered. The company they sent quoted $600 for the job. I told them I'd get back to them but I wanted to get another quote. I set up an appointment with some guy named Will too fix it (if you're in San Antonio, you get that joke). Well, Will called 4 hours later, so I had to reschedule. The next time Will must have been fixing someone else's stuff and was a no call no show. That's fine.... So I went on Yelp and found Anchor.

I had an immediate callback from Paul and was set up for an appointment the next day. Just by my description over the phone, Paul quoted me $350 as an estimate. I asked him if they would fix it right when they came out to do the real estimate and he said most likely they would. This is odd because the first people that quoted me $600 wouldn't be able to fix it the same day. It was a nothing part from what I've learned. Anyway, when Henry and Dakota came out, sure enough the cost was $350 on the nose!

While they were here, I asked them a few other things and just anticipated they'd just add to the $350. But... No.... No charge!

Well, now... I'm having toilet problems. Most likely it would be covered by the home warranty. But, I don't have time to deal with that, only for them to find something wrong that isn't covered. Blah blah blah. We went to Home Depot tonight, bought a toilet, and it's ready for Anchor to pick it up and install. Just waiting for confirmation from Paul on when it'll be done.

So far... Class A service. Heck they have nearly all 5 Star ratings on here for a reason. I recommend Anchor Plumbing to anyone here in San Antonio.

The guys that came were so polite, quick working, and very helpful. We had a few small issues they helped us with. One issue was had was a toilet that wouldn't stop running, not only did they fixed that, the toilet was slightly wobbly and they tighter it and didn't charge for that. We also had a faucet hose that was frayed and they could easily have told me that I needed to replace the whole thing just to get more money out of me but they told me that the brand of faucet I have has a lifetime warranty on it and that I should be able to get a part sent to me for free. He also showed me how to replace it when the part come in. It really makes you trust your plumber when you don't feel like they are just trying to charge everywhere they can. I highly recommend this company and will continue to use them anytime we need a plumber.

The pipes in my home were banging every time the toilet flushed or we used the shower, etc. Anchor Plumbing responded to my request right away and was able to come out the same day! I am very happy with the work they did. Turns out we needed a new pressure valve. Water pressure is great, no more banging pipes. They even checked out some other pain points (water line to fridge, a/c drain) we are having which helped narrow down the solution needed. I did not hire Anchor Plumbing to replace my water heater but their response was fast and a good consult/estimate. I'm writing this on 7/29/2020 and we're in the middle of COVID, so home visits are fewer. Mr. Paul called me back and we facetimed with our iPhones so he was able to see what I needed. Initially, I wanted a hybrid water heater to replace my old one. However, after talking with Mr. Paul, there's a lot more involved than simply switching our units. He was frank about how a hybrid needed to work with building codes. Other plumbers I took estimates from didn't seem to know or were willing to skirt the rules. I'd rather have someone tell me possible but rather than do the work halfbaked, and I have to deal with it years later when I sell the house. For my next plumbing fix I'm definitely giving them a call.

It's not often you can say that was an excellent experience when you have to have a water heater replaced. Paul was so quick to return my request for a very informal quote and process for an appointment. We set a time and the team was early. They were very professional and knew right away what the issue was. I definitely needed a new water heater and they got it done. I was able to get a better brand than I had as well. Services Performed:
Water Softener Removal: Anchor Plumbing removed my water softener that was not in working condition. They disconnected and removed all piping in garage and completely removed all parts of water softener devices in a timely manner. They left no debris behind.

Water Leak from Water Softener Pipes under Driveway: Anchor Plumbing came as requested to fix a water leak that we determined was under-around our driveway. The pipes happened to be part of the water softener pipes (that was removed two months prior) that were connected to our main plumbing pipes under our driveway. Anchor Plumbing was able to tie off pipes to ensure no more water leaks would occur from the pipes under driveway. An easy fix and one we were thankful for since we did not want to the financial burden of redoing our driveway. Anchor Plumbing did a fantastic job and worked quickly and as before, removed all debris and replaced all soil and grass prior to leaving.

I contacted Anchor Plumbing on a Saturday, and within a short time, Paul the Owner responded back. I explained the work that needed to get done, and his quote was inline with what other plumbing companies quoted me. I appreciate that he messaged me back on Yelp and had called me back. On Sunday, I reached back out and scheduled work for later in the week. Paul confirmed the date and window time on a Sunday afternoon and followed up the day before work with a more concrete time. On the day of, Henry called and said he was 30 minutes away. Henry was very nice and professional, and he took care of the three plumbing items that were needed in the house. The final cost was still inline with the original amount quoted over the phone (although they would have discussed additional costs if the plumbing issue was a different issue than originally expected). We would be happy to use Anchor Plumbing in the future, and we're glad we chose them for our recent plumbing needs.

They scheduled it for a few days later with a few hour time frame. I got the call that the guy was on his way. So after about an hour of work, the issue was kind of fixed. We just recently moved to San Antonio and had a few minor plumbing concerns that we wanted looked at in our house (low-ish water pressure, water softener functionality and maintenance, etc). I had been dragging my feet in calling a plumber, but my hand was forced when my 4 year old flushed a plastic toilet paper holder down the toilet, rendering my master bath toilet useless. I called Anchor after seeing Facebook suggestion. Paul was friendly, professional, and quick to get out to us (about 2 hours since he was on another job when I called). After getting here, he was able to snake the toilet and have the issue fixed within 10 minutes. He even humored my son's million questions and our ever nosy dog with stride. The prices were reasonable, but might be a little on the higher end if you have a quick job like mine. This is due to the fact that they use a flat rate rather than an hourly rate - a benefit if you have something that's going to take a bit of time, but something to consider if you have a quick snake job like we had. Basically, I paid a bit more than I was expecting, but it was more than worth it because of what Paul did AFTER he fixed the immediate issue at hand.

Paul was amazingly helpful and took the time to examine our water pressure and water softener for free. He checked our outside pressure and after a few questions and further examination, determined it was probably a source issue (the pressure is ok, we just wish it was a bit higher). He did offer some helpful DIY solutions for the shower, toilets, etc. He also went to examine our water softener and schooled me on the required maintenance. If after following his instructions we found that our softener still wasn't working properly, he'd come back and check it out for free and see if we needed repairs. Luckily, his directions worked and we now have a fully functioning water softener.

Overall, we were super satisfied and will DEFINITELY be using Anchor again in the future.

Henry and Dakota are outstanding! This is the second time I've used the company and will continue to for ALL my plumbing needs. The first time was a hot water heater that was out for 5 days because the Home Warranty company was doing what they do best...absolutely nothing! I called them 1st thing Monday morning and Henry and Dakota came out soon after. They replaced my hot water heater the same day. The most recent was an upstairs sink clog. Having come home for the Holidays and findng out our main water heater has given out, I contacted Anchor Plumbing late afternoon on Christmas Eve and Paul answered the phone and was super friendly and set up an appointment for the 26th. Luckily, our other water heater was still working so we were able to get by for a couple of days. Alec and Jared came out and inspected our Water heaters and I had them replace both at the same time as they were both about 14 years old now. Alec and Jared were superb in their service and professionalism. They gave me a cost to replace both water heaters (which were in the attic, by the way..) and they got it done in a few hours and cleaned up afterwards. I also ad them come back out to replace the pressure valve at the water meter for me as that seemed to be starting to have issues. Why just yesterday Paul and his fabulous crew installed a new water softener in our 1950s home. We are new to SA, so like many, I hopped on Yelp and Google to find plumbers in the area with credibility and solid work ethic. Well, needless to say, Anchor Plumbing was looking quite stellar and once Paul came out to give me a free estimate, he more than lived up to those reviews. He was very clear in explaining the process of installation, the cost, the materials needed, model/warranty info and timing to complete the project. I had 3 other estimates from plumbers, and Paul came in below his competitors and by not trying to upsell me on additional products, I knew he was our guy.
The day of the install couldn't have gone smoother. Paul and his team arrived in the morning and were done before lunch. Everyone was polite, efficient and maintained a level of professionalism that did not go unnoticed. I chose Anchor Plumbing Services because Paul is a local independent plumber. The small independent vendor normally gives you a fair price and exceptional service. And that is exactly what Paul provided. I emailed Anchor Plumbing about my needs and said that there was no rush. Didn't matter I was contacted immediately. Paul came out to look at the job gave me a quote and we made an appointment to get the job done. Changed out 14 turn off control valves and caulked our shower. Only took him a couple hours, everything was clean afterwards and used high quality parts.

Paul replied to my Yelp message quickly even though it was a Saturday. I was able to schedule an appointment for Monday and he even called to confirm it on Sunday. He called about half an hour prior to coming to let me know he was on his way. He flushed and inspected my water heater and answered any questions I had. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs plumbing work done.

Very dedicated business. Worked through rain, sleet, snow of 12/7 to complete my six feet deep sewer issues. Henry stayed late making sure area was safe & as presentable as could be. Owner Paul came to site when unexpected issues arose. Would use again & highly recommend.

Very happy with my experience using Anchor. I had to get a hydrostatic test done on a home that I was looking to purchase on a tight time frame. First company I tried to use was a no-show on a Friday afternoon. I contacted Paul via Yelp over the weekend and we were able to set something up for first thing Tuesday morning. Henry and Dakota showed up right on time Tuesday morning and conducted the test and found several issues with the home's plumbing. Anchor's inspection allowed me to back out of the purchase and avoid all of the headache of dealing with a new home with large plumbing issues. Highly recommend Anchor.

I'd been having problems with a faulty clogged toilet, and issues with shower faucet. Paul was very honest with upfront pricing, and delivered quick excellent service. In addition, he was understanding and patient since I was shuffling being busy with kiddos homework. I would definitely use Anchor Plumbing again, and recommend anyone for there plumbing needs.

Called this morning because of a leaking hose spigot. Paul scheduled me for same day service even when I called back after discovering another issue. Anchor goes above and beyond to service their customers. My wife and I live in Southwest San Antonio and we quickly began having issues contacting a plumber that would come out. Excellent service. We called Anchor plumbing for a shut off valve leak in our upstairs bathroom. We decided to use them after viewing yelp, and hearing recommendations from our neighbors. Paul came out the next day early, and fixed the issue quickly. His price was half of what we were quoted by some of the other plumbers in the area. We will use them again.

Paul is my go-to plumber--he's highly skilled at the right price. I've bought 2 houses in San Antonio over the past 6 years and he installed much needed water softeners and water filtration/reverse osmosis systems. No leaks or issues since--he does the job once and does it right, and when he leaves you'd never know he was ever there.

Anchor Plumbing Services provides outstanding service with competitive pricing. Henry and Dakota were professional, honest, and hard working. They took the time to locate the issue and provided various solutions rather than simply choosing the most expensive route. My wife and I are very pleased with their work and although we do not anticipate any more plumbing issues, without question, we know who we will contact. Besides their professional service, both Henry and Dakota were very polite and courteous. I am not one who easily places trust in others, but upon meeting them, I found that I immediately welcomed them to our home. In fact even our three little pups enjoyed their company shortly after they began their work. I also quickly realized why they were rated so high and favorable during my online search. I called Paul Saturday about our kitchen faucet failing: he was out here by Mon. midday to remove the old faucet and install the new one! He is a good communicator and shows up when he says he will, even calling again to let you know he is enroute. While here he also tightened a bathroom sink handle. The third and by far most challenging situation he remedied was installing a hot water handle on a new Roman tub filler. Two previous plumbers had not been able to get the hot water handle attached due to inability to remove an old stripped or frozen screw at the base of the old extension tube where the tube meets the cartridge. Paul would not give up on the problem: even though he broke several drill bits in the process, he persisted until he drilled out the old screw. Now we can finally use our tub again! I wouldn't hesitate to use Paul/Anchor Plumbing again. He is pleasant, professional, reasonably priced and does excellent work!
