Best Businesses in San Antonio, TX
Being a new homeowner I don't have a trusted plumber just yet. I called around a few places for quotes and a random local search popped this place up. I won't lie, my first phone call didn't set me on the right foot. They don't have the best customer based phone skills and they got out to me about an hour later than quoted. But once they were here they were the nicest guys! Never once made me feel like I was being upsold or didn't have my best interest in mind. They kept me in the loop every step of the way and did a fantastic job! I even got my toilet repaired as well and still paid $400 less than two other major plumbing company's had quoted me. If you're patient enough to go with this mom & pop company you won't be disappointed with their work.

I live in Phoenix and have a home I rent. Texas Plumbing Diagnostics charged me $750 to replace 3 flow masters and 1 flapper. It would have been cheaper to fly to San Antonio on a Friday, rent car for 2 days, book a hotel for 2 nights, buy the parts myself, and fly back to Phoenix on Sunday. The reason I was given for the high charge was they have a $30,000 truck and had to pay a guy $35 an hour to go out there. I feel that they took advantage of me living out of state. They may take advantage of you next.

Honest and trustworthy. He is extremely knowledgeable and very honest on cost. Will not overcharge you and will explain the whole process prior to just doing the work. Will be using him again.

Our water heater went out and we needed a replacement fast. Gabe was the first to reach out and offered to replace our unit the same day. His quote was very affordable compared with others that we received. His work is high quality and he made adjustments so if there is a need in the future repairs will be easier to perform. I highly recommend Gabe, and we now have a new plumber!

You can TRUST this company! Very competitive quote which includes everything--you won't be upcharged when they are installing your Hot Water Heater or the like. Top notch parts. Friendly, clean, careful, etc.

We called the team out during a bad winter storm. We had water in our living room. They called to give update on time of arrival. They took 48 hours to come out. Other companies had is on waitlist for two weeks. The team that came out was incredible. Johnny was so helpful and quick.
This would be a company I would hire again.

We called this company because it had really good reviews. The Yancey Water System needed to move our water meter but wouldn't attach it to our current water line. We were told from Kunz that it would be 90 bucks an hour and we could save money by digging a trench. He stated that he could be here on Thursday which was 2 weeks ago. No one ever showed. We tried to dig to find the existing line but couldn't find it. I called Kunz because Yancey is ready but was told from the receptionist that Kenny whoever that is stated there was some confusion with the water company and he wanted us to call someone else to do the job. Don't hire these people. They don't want to work. Look for someone else. I gave them 1 star because it wouldn't let me not give them a star. In reality they deserve no stars. Bad business and the worse customer service. The receptionist sounded like she was asleep every time I called.

If you want the best value for your home A/C & heating system then you really need to speak to the folks at Woods. The job will be done right the first time with top quality equipment and technicians. It's important to have a quality air conditioner in Texas. My own experience with Woods? Top quality and the best value. Get the job done right the first time and rest easy with Woods' quality.

Ajax has been in business for YEARS. The building is a familiar face on W. Commerce. The sign is original and takes me back to the old days when I see it. I have used their services for many years. This past Wednesday, they came out to unclog my kitchen drain. Their initial response didn't sound too good. Sounded like a lot of work, and a lot of money. They weren't satisfied with that so they continued to try other things. Sure enough, they were able to determine exactly where the clog was and clear it out. Whew!! Thank goodness for their persistence. My bill was WAY under what I was expecting.
I'm going to continue calling them if any other issues arise. Oh, yeah. I called Wednesday morning and they were there by noon.

I had water pipes that burst with the Texas Snow Storm, Uri. I called 1st Call Plumbing because they sent me a flyer, and represented themselves as a Family Owned business. When the technician came, my Free Estimate was a contract he presented at the curb. $175.00/hr. for leak detection with a 4 hour minimum ($700.00) and a repair cost of $595.00/hr for repairs with a 4 hour minimum ($2,380.00). Then there was the cost of the plumbing parts. This was a contract for over $3,000.00 and they had not even looked at my broken pipe! There was water leakage in my wall but the service technician said he would not be dealing with that. He would be doing a deversion to get my water back on. I would need to call someone else to deal with the dry wall and water leakage in the wall. I hadn't had water in my house for Two weeks, and he said Other People Are Paying It Wow! I declined to sign their contract, and called the owner, John. He claimed this was not how his company did business, but they sent these contracts to my email, and had a recording of my conversation when I called for a service request! I'm going to wait a few more weeks to get a reputable plumber who really cares about people and does not treat their customers like a business opportunity.

Showed up on time. Gave me a few different options to retrofit sink and plumbing in 1939 home. I appreciated that.

Last month we were standing in the middle of the yard, realizing we weren't going to be able to fix our own problem and lamenting over the fact that plumbing companies are notoriously hard to trust. We were calling around and we were told either that we'd have to wait quite some time or were quoted over $1000 for a job they hadn't even seen. Then, someone drove past in a SA Plumbing Co. van and we called the number... Ben turned around and came back. He was professional and polite and assessed the problem and gave us a very fair quote really quickly. He got to work and finished up within an hour.
So when an indoor problem arose, we knew who to call. They sent Ben again (yay!!) again, he assessed the problem quickly and fixed it in just a few minutes. We once again received prompt, courteous, fair, professional care and it kinda cracks me up but I appreciate it that Ben goes overboard in keeping things tidy and clean. We have found our FOREVER plumbing company!!

Had Harold's Plumbing out to unplug a washing machine drain. It took Harold's son about 10 minutes, and he gave me a bill for $285. When I called Harold to complain, he said that it is normally $225 for this service because they have to use a small machine, but that he understood there was more service involved than the washer drain. There was not because my tenants had taken care of the other problem. Harold did reduce the bill to $225, however, I checked with Bryco Plumbing and they said it should have cost about $156. I also checked with my regular plumber who had recommended Harold's for services requiring drain cleaning, and he, too, said that it should have cost around $150. I tried to post this complaint on Harold's website, but it appears you can only post reviews that give them very positive responses.

Very disappointed in this company, this company was assigned to us through our warranty; A plumber from A-Tex Plumbing came in and glanced for a second under the sink where the leak was, then said he will come back with a flash light but never did. did not come back to the house at all, instead stayed in front yard on the phone and then left. 30 mins later warranty denied our claim for repair due to pre-existent condition, but how did the plumber who did not even see anything in the house make a diagnosis? VERY unprofessional. Would not recommend this company to anyone.
