Best Businesses in San Antonio, TX
Being a new homeowner I don't have a trusted plumber just yet. I called around a few places for quotes and a random local search popped this place up. I won't lie, my first phone call didn't set me on the right foot. They don't have the best customer based phone skills and they got out to me about an hour later than quoted. But once they were here they were the nicest guys! Never once made me feel like I was being upsold or didn't have my best interest in mind. They kept me in the loop every step of the way and did a fantastic job! I even got my toilet repaired as well and still paid $400 less than two other major plumbing company's had quoted me. If you're patient enough to go with this mom & pop company you won't be disappointed with their work.

Well that's twice. Had a leak, standing water in a box in the front yard. Dave was the technician this time. Everything went exactly the same as I described in my earlier review (although no traffic this time, so showed right at 9:00). Couldn't have been happier with the service. Thanks again.

Honest and trustworthy. He is extremely knowledgeable and very honest on cost. Will not overcharge you and will explain the whole process prior to just doing the work. Will be using him again.
8240 Liberty Park, Fair Oaks Ranch, TX 78015
Our water heater went out and we needed a replacement fast. Gabe was the first to reach out and offered to replace our unit the same day. His quote was very affordable compared with others that we received. His work is high quality and he made adjustments so if there is a need in the future repairs will be easier to perform. I highly recommend Gabe, and we now have a new plumber!
New Braunfels, TX 78130
You can TRUST this company! Very competitive quote which includes everything--you won't be upcharged when they are installing your Hot Water Heater or the like. Top notch parts. Friendly, clean, careful, etc.

We have been long term customers of Doug Kinsey, the owner of Kinsey Plumbing. However, in Dec of 2015 we asked for him to come out and do 3 repairs/estimates. 1. To check the drain system in the kitchen and laundry room since whenever we do run water in the kitchen it leaves a bad smell in the laundry room. 2. Install strainer cups in our back sink. 3. Repair the leaking taps in our shower.
For the first time, Doug did not come to do our service. He sent his journeyman plumber, Sean(shawn?) to do the service. My wife was the primary person when he got here. His attitude was horrible, he simply did not appear to care about doing the repairs.
On the first request, he didn't even look at anything and told my wife that we would likely have to rip out the wall to find out the issue.
On the second request, he installed the parts we bought. The sink began not to drain soon after.
On the third request, he replaced the parts my wife had bought at a specialty plumbing store. We have an older home and it requires parts that are not normal for newer homes.
My wife called Shannon, the receptionist at Kinsey Plumbing, and told her that she didn't care for Sean's attitude and that only 2 of the services were done. She advised that, even only a few days after Sean was here, the back sink was not draining/draining very slow since the service and her shower was still leaking. In addition to the leaking, the hot water now didn't want to flow correctly and the pipes were making a weird keening/banging noise. She requested that Doug Kinsey come out and look at the issues, since we had no faith in Sean.
She was advised that Doug doesn't come out on minor jobs any more and that Sean was their best guy. She offered to send him back out. My wife refused because we had no desire to have him back in our home. We were denied access to Doug.
So, we decided we would just have to live with the issues since we didn't want Sean here again and we couldn't afford to have another service from a different company so soon after the failed one. We couldn't get in touch with Doug, it seems that Shannon is filtering contact with him or something.
Fast forward to April 2016. The back sink was fully stopped up and my wife's shower doesn't work right, plus it sounds like a bunch of pots banging around. I am disabled, but I was able to clear the back sink drain with liquid plumbr and snaking around in it. An odd plastic like substance floated to the surface and finally it drained. I have no idea what the stuff was, but I would like to reiterate that BEFORE Sean touched it, it drained fine. We only had the new cups installed because it was leaking around the old ones very slightly.
At this point, we decided to try one last time to get some sort of resolution from Kinsey. We asked again if we could have Doug come and please try to fix what was NEVER fixed when Sean came. Again Shannon told us that Sean was the only available plumber and that we were probably beyond warranty. We said we had called in very soon after the first service to report problems and had requested someone other than Sean, but she said that didn't necessarily matter. Desperate for some sort of help, we agreed to have Sean come out again for a 'possible' warranty service.
Today, 5/20/2016, Sean arrived with a helper. He was very non-professional looking and acting. I walked him to the bathroom since I had already fixed the issue on the back sink, which I told him and he just grunted. I explained what was happening, he played with the water a bit and then turned to his helper and told him to go get some stems. He then advised me that there would be no warranty service and that we would be charged for a new call. I told him that he could leave the premises, since we would never pay for that man to work on anything plumbing related in our home again. I told him some of the things I have listed here and was told repeatedly that it either didn't happen or that my wife was basically lying.
I called Shannon and asked for her to have Doug call me, but I doubt I will hear from him. I want to note that all the work we ever had Doug do was excellent, it is only the work done by his helper that is bad. I don't know why he is so hard to get in touch with now and can only hope that Shannon isn't keeping people from talking to him.
We will most likely have to pay out of our limited funds to have another service provider repair the issues that Sean has left behind. Mr. Kinsey, if you somehow read this, please be aware that Sean is a toxic negative to your business.

I am very happy with the customer service and service that was received.
They were very quick to respond to our call and complete the request.
Once the call was placed the work was completed within 36 hours, very impressive. They are very knowledgable about what is needed from the city and obtaining the correct paperwork for the necessary job/request. I would recommend them to anyone.

After working with two ac/heating companies I finally found Woods.
They are exceptionally responsive, have very reasonable prices for an ongoing maintenance system and my technician, John Haug is so great to work with- always cheerful, positive and always finding ways to make things better.
Highly recommended.

Have hired Ajax before with pleasant techs and reasonable prices--until now. Tech John H tried to overcharge(& not very personable either). He did not get a signed estimate to approve price and was only a 30-minute job--he hinted it would be a big job? We talked him down to a lower price but still seemed unreasonable. I paid price and called owner to state dissatisfaction--was just sent a $75 Refund Check.

My garbage disposal was backed up so I called them for help. The person who answered the phone was very polite and set up an appointment right away. They called to tell me when they were 30 minutes out. The service person accessed the situation and I had a clog that they could plunge quickly, so they didn't charge me. And they even checked my water quality for free. I highly recommend them.

Mr. Richard was so knowledgeable and professional when he put in our new water heater! We highly recommend EL Smith plumbing to do any plumbing service for you with perfection! I was overly impressed with the with the amount of skill and knowledge that came with their EL's plumbing service!
2013 West Ave, San Antonio, TX 78201
These guys are prompt and professional. We just bought a house and of course there will be unpleasant surprises. Replacing the 40 year old dishwasher was not going to happen until Brett and Joseph got involved. Old, inefficient fittings and patch jobs got replaced with new, clean piping and angle stop. A small leak that had been there was gone and the new dishwasher runs and drains perfectly. The price was totally fair. And this was on a Saturday. We'll be calling them when the next plumbing surprise shows up.
12682 Old FM 1560, Ste 103, Helotes, TX 78023
called to have low water pressure fixed, and to locate pressure reducing valve buried in my yard. the plumber they sent did nothing for me to fix my problem or locate the valve. i wasted 150 dollars for nothing, i do not recommend.
Cibolo, TX 78108
Very rude!! Called to ask a question and the person was very short and acted like he didn't want to be at work! Asked for his name and while I was asking him he hung up on me! It's ok I called their competitor and I will definitely spend my money with them no matter the cost! Everyone looking for a plumber call AAA-Auger. They are actually good peeps.. I wouldn't Harold give them a star but apparently I have to

Lack of integrity! These people came out through my home warranty. The technician was very nice but came late and had to return the next day to complete the job. I had to call them back out to adjust the faucet. They completed that but After I took a shower, I was unable to turn the water off. I recalled them through my home warranty. They were suppose to call me that day and did not. I tried calling them that day and the next with no response. I contacted The home warranty and after they called them I was assured they would get back with me. On the third day I called, and again they did not answer and I let them know I would give them a bad review if I did not hear from them. I called my home warranty to complain and was told they contacted them and told the warranty people that I told Atex to get off my property so they will now refuse the job! I found that they called me back within minutes telling me they have been having phone problems
