Had kitchen sink issues and decided to turn to Yelp for advice. Found Mike Pelayo, and what a find he is! He arrived early, was totally professional, explained what he was doing and why, He tried the easy fix hoping that might do the trick, but then went to serious work snaking across the house. The price he charged seemed fair, but I don't know what's fair since this is my first house and first plumber. If there is a negative, it is only that he doesn't take credit cards -- but he was perfectly willing to leave me a bill to pay when you can. He is a genuine good guy who I would recommend to anyone

Skillful, honest forthright.
We called Direct Source after another local plumbing concern sent out what turned out to be a salesman in response to our request to auger a stopped up drain. The salesman spent some time surveying our situation and, it seemed, surveying my wife and me to see how much they could milk us for. They wanted almost $800 to get an actual plumber/tech to come behind the salesman and do the job. Charged us $39 (reduced from $69, so I guess we got a bargain) for the service call.
Direct Source sent a real plumber, Wes Hart, who showed up at our door promptly. He discussed some potential solutions if our problem persists, but did a basic clean out for $160 that seemed to make the most sense as what ought to try before turning to more drastic options.

I wish we could give more than 5 stars! We had an emergency situation with water leaking everywhere at our new home after moving from out of state. We didn't have a plumber, so I quickly went to Yelp for local plumbing reviews. That's how we found Christopher. He came over right away on a Sunday night and fixed the issue. He was so kind, considerate & cheerful for it being so late at night and an emergency call. He is the real deal as a plumber and as a person. We weren't excited about having a flooded laundry room, but we are excited to have found our new plumber!

I called and I thought I had a slab leak. The bigger jobs get referred to Jesse who is a master plumber that works with Michael. Jesse was awesome! Turns out that I had a blockage! Jesse took care of that in short order. Then I had him check out a couple other things. He was honest, knowledgable and quick to follow-up on the phone. We found our plumber!

Jason was great it was the best plumbing experience I ever had being I had a plumber come out before because I couldn't find the clean out which told me some houses in Texas don't have them Jason knew the home had one and dug it up and simply cleaned out my drains worth the charge just for finding the clean out for me

Needed a gas line run for a dryer. Upon request a builder gave me Trevor's number with a very good reference. I called Trevor and he came by to estimate cost with just one call the following day. Gave me a range, came back to perform job the following week. Over weekend we decided to add a instant hot water and our garage apartment tub had no hot water. I called Trevor Monday morning he had no issue completing all three items, and gave me a quote for the additional items. The crew arrived, Trevor arrived and walked the crew through the jobs, made sure they had all materials and the crew went to work. They completed all the items in one day. We got the bill upon completion and review of the work; it was exactly as quoted. Trevor called at 6:00, apologized for not being at the house upon completion but just wanted to follow up and makes sure we were pleased with the work. The professionalism, the customer service and follow through speak highly of this Owner's character and the culture within this small company.

Website says they will come to my area, corporate confirmed they come to Denton county. And they don't. Weak. Talked to the guy, maybe my problem wasn't big enough to come out.

Had a toilet leaking from the seal for a while and it eventually ruined the flange. Sure I could have repaired it myself for a fraction of what it cost to pay a plumber, but I have a bad back, so I decided I'd rather pay someone else to do it. I know plumbers aren't cheap, but it is what it is. Called Dial One Johnson to do the job. Everything went smooth. They answer the phones quickly, scheduling was flexible, they showed up promptly, they were professional and safe (wore masks and advised they were vaccinated), they worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. Total for toilet and flange was 885. Expensive, but I am very happy with the work they did and would definitely use them again.

I can't say enough good things about Sheffield Plumbing. I called them late in the evening about a problem I had in my rent house - not an emergency but certainly need to be taken care of quickly - and they promised that be out within two days. On the morning of the second day, the field guy called me to let me know he was on the way out there, fixed the problem, and then called me with the results. Their rates are reasonable and their service impeccable. If you have a plumbing issue in the Oak Cliff area, be sure to call these good people!!

So I recently moved in to a new place and two toilets were leaking into the flooring on my second floor. The leak had permeated the subflooring so I had TLC remove all the existing tile in both bathrooms, repair the subflooring (along with some floor supporting joists underneath), relay new tile down, and install two new toilets. I attached a pic of one of the finished bathrooms, and a before/after pic of the other bathroom . Given the end result I would rate the work done throughout the construction process to be 5 stars. The only reason I gave the review 4 stars is due to the length of time it took. The work started October 8th and completed November 5th, so almost a month for what could have been a 1.5 to 2 week job if they worked every day. Usually someone would do some work one day, and then it'd be at least 2 or 3 days until they came for another day to do some more. I understand due to COVID or other circumstances things may have been slower, but it would have been nice to receive a heads up going into it. If you have a large job I'd just recommend asking for a time estimate. For a smaller job I don't think this would be an issue. Overall though, like I said, they did a very good job on the demolition and tiling so I'd still definitely recommend TLC. If I have any smaller jobs in the future I will be calling them up!

My A/C drain stopped up. I needed an early morning appointment, they showed up promptly at 7:15 AM and started to work on my problem. The technician was great and explained everything that needed to happen, told me how much it would cost and about how long it would take.
The repair was made and I made it to work on time ! I would recommend this company and will definitely use their service again.
Everything is working fine since.

We've used Mai Plumbing for over 20 years. They are beyond excellent and totally honest. Today they told us how to quick fix our tankless water heater over the phone so no bill. Every time we've ever used them they've always been completely reasonable. Best plumber ever.

I went with this place because they had a high rating on Angie's List - wow! How misleading was that!
Had I to do it over again, I would have choosen another Plumbing company and avoided Baker Brothers Plumbing all together.
I recently had my foundation repaired the first weekend in March 2012 and wanted to confirm that it didn't break any water pipes in the process, so I called Baker Brothers out to do an assessment ... what they tried to do is take me for a ride!
Just to make the house call and run a basic water pressure check (something I could have done on my own I found out later for free) I was quoted $250, but once the guy arrived he started tacking on charges, such as $120 just to remove the elbow joint (or something) on the toilet. If I didn't pay and he broke it I would be on me to fix he said (which sounded a bit threatening to me - as if I didn't pay it he might break the piece out of spite).
I stopped the guy and asked, Is there anything else I need to know about - hidden fees, costs, associated with any of the work your doing - please let me know now before you proceed.
They guy got defensive, which surprised me, because repair men in the past have always proactively stopped and shown me what to expect cost wise when it came to a repair - even shown me the part that was broken and why it needed to be fixed, but this guy couldn't tell me anything about what he was doing, which caused a flag to go up in my mind.
I had general contractor on site at the same time inspecting the house for the cosmetic repair work which needed to be done and upon hearing the conversation even he said that didn't sound right - that in his 30 years he had never had a repair person not walk him through the process before when he didn't understand.
The guy with Baker Brothers ran in and out o the house to his truck a number of times, removed the toilet and ran water non-stop down the sewage drain and fiddled around with some instruments. Then he came back and told me I had a small leak in one of my pipes that I was losing x amount of pressure over x amount of time - but not to be concerned about it at this time, however he did claim to have found a sewage leak and wanted to charge me and additional $1,250 to do an exploratory search for it (which would involved drilling through the slab foundation) ... once they found the leak there would be a cost for the repair, and a cost to repair the drilling.
I stopped the guy right there and asked him to break the cost and steps down for me in detail, but he wouldn't. At that point I thanked him for his time and said I would discuss the matter with my husband. The guy stood and stared at me. I had to tell him again - thank you, I'll follow up once I speak with my husband. I thought the guy was going to throw his clip board down - it was obvious by the look on his face he was upset I was telling him to leave.
We went out to his truck for something and when he came back his attitude had softened, but not by much - my $250 inspection ended up being $450 when all was said and done with all the little charges.
Since the inspection, we haven't touched the sewage line and there hasn't been any back-ups and the water bill has not changed since before the house was leveled.
This is not a company I would ever call or deal with again. The person who came out genuinely appeared to be trying to take advantage of the situation and was incredibly unprofessional. I felt like he expected me to take his word on what he was telling me at face value and not get a second option. If you're considering working with this company - beware!
