Followed through in a timely and efficient manner and cleaned up afterwards. I would hire again.

Great family owned plumbing company. I would recommend them for your plumbing needs. They did a great job at my home for a new bathroom and washroom. Polite and professional

another great experience! Tyler, Bryan. all employees I spoke to or came to my home are awesome. very professional and friendly. . my ac unit stopped working. came out same day Tyler stayed till 1030 to get my bedroom to stay cool enough to sleep there. they were even going to go out and get a window unit so I could stay in my home. they came out next day as promised, replaced my system, cleaned up after and Tyler followed up to see how things were working. the manager came out a day or 2 later to recheck everything to make sure everything was working properly spending money on a new air conditioner is expensive but having envirosafe doing the job helps. reassurance. answered all my questions ,explained everything in detail so I understood it. what a great company.

Roland and his cousin Benjamin were awesome!
I used Roland's services 2 years ago to unclog a main line in the back and now the sewer line in the front gave me problems!
Fortunately, he squeezed me into his busy day on a moment's notice and worked well after sundown to finish the job.
He's got a client for life :-)
... and his side kick Benjamin wasn't half bad either ;-)

I wouldn't use again. Another place that sends out drain techs instead of plumbers. Spent $150 for nothing- worked on a drain which he wasn't familiar with- (Z-Trap) and damaged the line where it was leaking through my garage roof after he left. Hard lesson learned- get estimate ahead of time.
NOTE- I talked to Joe and he was upset this happened and destroyed my check. I'll leave my review at 3 stars since he didn't charge me.

Ward D. Burnside & Co. has been incredibly responsive and reasonable. They have spent the last year working at my rental property bringing it up to snuff, particularly in the last few months as I had made the choice to sell it. Their prices have been reasonable and they have provided me with alternatives to save money while still achieving the items required for sale. Everyone with whom I've worked has been very responsive. Eric has been the primary plumber with whom I've worked and he even came out on emergency one night, resolving the problem at minimal cost. I highly recommend them.

My husband and I just bought a house and we used Star Plumbing for the first time. I agree with the other comments it is a shame they don't have a higher review! The receptionist was very helpful, polite, and well informed. Our water heater was leaking badly and they worked fast to be sure that someone came out to address it promptly. The man they sent was very polite and upon my request wore boot covers (to protect my new carpet). They ended up replacing my water heater. It was replaced swiftly and for a very reasonable price. I would recommend using them and plan on using them again for emergencies, and home improvement projects. I was quoted to have my kitchen faucet replaced I will write another review once that work is completed.

I recently took on the rehab of a long-vacant property near me. East Falls had to do a complete re-plumbing of the 3 story house, including a new boiler and replacement of some (very heavy!) radiators. I have to say it was completed with minimal of complications on my part. The work was done in the time frame he suggested and when there was a problem in one of the older lines he was back to make the needed adjustments to correct the problem. Very professional and easy to work with.

Great company! Couldn't have asked for better service! Prompt, fast, clean and reasonable cost.

Been using these Thompson since I bought a home in Fairmount nearly 20 years ago. They're professional and responsive. During the Pope's visit my toilet sprang a leak and John rode over on his bicycle, tools in his back pack, and fixed it! Try and find someone in the building trades that will go to those lengths for a customer. They may not be the absolute cheapest, but the prices are fair and they're good at what they do. It's a plus that I feel they are trustworthy and have no worries about having them in my home.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They are scam artists that think they can overcharge when people are in a bind.
I purchased a home that had a Bradford White 50 Gallon - 40,000 BTU TTW Power Vent Energy Saver Residential Water Heater installed on 4-23-19 by McLoughlin. At the time of writing, the unit is a little over 3 years old and is still covered under Bradford White's 6 year warranty.
I have a Floodstop installed that automatically shut the valve when it sensed water in the pan and contacted McLoughin yesterday to have the tank replaced. I did tell them it wasn't emergent for them to come out last night, and they could come out in the morning. I sent them photos of the unit so they had the model number & serial number for the warranty claim. They finally got back to me at noon today and said they could come out after 3PM today and replace the tank for $1,445. My mother-in-law just had the same situation with a Bradford White water heater a month ago and paid ~$800. I called my regular plumber and he said he could do it for ~$500 to $600 plus ~$100 to get the 6yr warranty back in effect for the new tank . I called McLoughin back and told them their price was too high and they offered to knock $150 off the cost. They're pricing was still SKY high, so I told them to forget about it -- I could go buy a new hot water heater and have it installed for $1,500. I also would advise against Bradford White's, they are not the same quality they used to be. They spend a lot of $$$ on advertising but their product is not the top quality they claim it to be.
If you want to be ripped off when you have a heating, cooling, plumbing or hot water emergency, call McLoughlin!

Our toilet developed a phantom flush. It would flush itself every 3-4 minutes. Not a full flush, just a bit and then refill. I knew what the problem was, I just couldn't source the part needed to remedy the problem.
After striking out at the hardware store, the plumbing supply shop and failing to solve the problem using a universal part, I decided to take the plunge (get it, the plunge?) and called Victor James Plumbing. They were local and I like to support local businesses.
They assured me they'd have the correct part for my toilet and explained they had a minimum service call charge. I was so tired of hearing the flushing that I was willing to pay $100+ for service call and part.
When they showed up (late), they fiddled with the toilet for 5 minutes and after a call to the boss (who evidently is the actual plumber (the two who showed up were only plumbing technicians), handed me an updated estimate-for replacing the entire toilet, to the tune of almost $900!!!
That was their solution to a problem that required a $10 part. So I sent them on their way agreeing to pay the minimum service charge (and kicking myself for providing my credit card number when I made the appointment).
I then discovered they charged almost $200 to my card (more than double the original estimate). Needless to say I wasn't having that. I called and complained and told them I was going to dispute the charge. After a rather unpleasant exchange, they agreed to issue a refund - still charging the minimum service charge. Later I found the part online for $12 including shipping and did the repair myself.
The take away? Either Victor James Plumbing has an inept plumber, or they are just crooks.

Called them up, came out within the hour and cleared the clog in my sink. Service was quick and professional!

I never leave reviews but this service was so poor I wouldn't want anyone else to contact them. We got the number from my fiancé's parents to call them
for a leak in our basement and it's 4 hours later on a Wednesday night and still no call from any technician after calling dispatch 4 times. Now we get to stay up until 4am for someone from roto rooter to come by because nobody has anything else to do at 4am. save yourself the aggravation and never call these people for service. ever.
