The story is typical. Come home Monday night from work. The wife says The water is not getting hot. Nuts, pilot light on water heater is out. Downstairs, look at the stream of water originating from the hot water tank. Yep, dunzo.

Came upstairs and at 5:59pm, called JB Plumbing. Got the owner, Mark. Explained my situation. He said he'd be there at 630am to check it out. By gum, he was there when he said. Took 5 seconds to correctly diagnose the problem. He said he'd be back around 9am.Went for coffee, and as I was returning at 715, he was already there, unloading the water heater.

45 minutes later he was done, and I was able to head to work. Yay!

I was glad he was able to bust this out so quickly. Kudos to JB Plumbing for helping me have hot water so quickly.

Lovely guys. They came and solved my problem immediately and didn't even charge me. Highly recommend.

Called after hours and the guy picked up. Set a time for the next day. Overall, felt he was friendly and communicated well. Asked for a video of the issue to properly assess the problem. Priced the issue right over the phone. Roommate stayed home and met him at the set time (just a little late) the next day. Snaked the backed up sewer line and took videos for IG (without my knowledge) of his process. $385 for the service. I had no reference point for the cost so I agreed. I asked for additional info/detail from him via email for my insurance, which he agreed to but never sent. Roughly 2 weeks later and the same blockage is happening. He stated over the phone that it could be a bigger issue (curb trap, a $4k+ installation) but if he came to do it he exact same job it would be another $385. Next door neighbor had the identical issue 1 week after my initial blockage and got a diff company to come out and clear her curb trap and clear her drain issue for $285.  I have called them to come service my issue correctly. It appears Boss neglected to check all possible blockage points, as the issue has quickly returned.

EDIT:
2nd company came out. Looked at the curb trap as a first step and immediately determined the issue was blockage outside, not inside the home. They retrieved the item blocking the drain and showed me the all clear on their camera system. This part of the drain was not looked at by Boss. Problem resolved by 2nd company, unfortunately for the exact same price.

They are not thorough...they do not have appropriate equipment to do a proper job...added the cost of toilet seat removal which ended up being more than the cost of having them come out for the drain clean.
Added to all this, they did a shoddy job...I will NOT recommend them!

Started expierencing a more significant leak from a previously dripping bolt under the toilet tank at midnight last night.  Started reaching out for plumber referrals then, including a search on Yelp.  John responded immediately (and the fastest of all the others that responded) and said he could be out this am.  We confirmed the appt this am, he arrived on time, he made all the necessary repairs, and advised me on some other plumbing questions I had for several other future projects that are plumbing-related.  John is personable, knowledgable and experienced.  THANK YOU, JOHN!

We were having a problem with our bathroom sink and laundry sink. Kit came in and fixed the sink so quick. Then he diagnosed the laundry sink and told us how to do it ourselves. He didn't charge as the fix was so menial but i was still so grateful as he came all the way for us. We know nothing about plumbing so felt a little embarrassed but he didn't judge! Will definitely be in touch again if we have real problems. Thanks again :)

After contacting 3 other places with no return phones calls which is very unprofessional by the way, hubby and I contacted Goodman plumbing. Someone actually answered the phone and came out the same day. Within the hour actually. There were two guys both named Ed who snaked my back yard drain. They were very nice, very professional, and even gave a tip on how to try and prevent the issue from reoccurring. I will definitely use them again in the future!

Rick answered my yelp message in about 10 minutes.  I called around 9am and he was at my house to fix the problem around noon.  Would definitely recommend for impeccable service.

Mike is professional and friendly. You can tell he is passionate about his work and always takes great care to do the job right. I had a leaky toilet that needed to be resealed but he went above and beyond, replacing a section of pipe to support the new seal, replaced the rusted bolts, and more. An all around good guy and hard worker. Would definitely recommend him to a friend.

Wonderful, knowledgeable, trustworthy service! We had an issue with the stems on our bath/shower, and got an estimate from another company who said there was no way to fix the issue without completely replacing the faucet, at a high cost. We contacted John Neill for a second opinion, and after explaining the supposed problem over the phone, we were quoted a max price for the same fix that was $100 less than the other company. They said they'd come out ready to do the job, but would see if there was an easier, less expensive fix they could do first. After looking at the system and the problem, they were able to replace our stems only, saving us hundreds while fixing the problem and saving us from another future problem at the same time. They know the systems that are used in OLD Philly homes well, and will give you the best, honest solution.

Perfect company, plumber was great, on time and price was normal. No extra fees or bs. Highly recommend to anyone

I cannot recommend Chris Williams enough. Chris has done many jobs for our family in both our previous home and our new home. He installed an entire master bathroom addition for us as well as other smaller jobs and repairs. Most recently Chris has helped us during a water main clog right before the holidays when we had family visiting and we're in a major pinch! If we had not hired him for the job, we would very likely have ended up with waste water overflowing in our first floor kitchen and bathroom on Christmas Eve!

He has gone above and beyond in many ways - from being available via text and cell at late hours, to taking the time to fully explain in layman's terms the details of every job he has done. He lets you know why he recommends the solution he is proposing as well as gives you options. He clearly thinks through each situation with care and does what is best for the homeowner. He and his team have always been courteous and kind, and on top of it all, his prices are very fair and reasonable. They started off great on the first job, but when the job failed, they didn't call back, didn't show for the appointment and left me hanging for weeks! I had to call another plumber and pay again for the job to be fixed correctly! I was really disappointed in them.

Needed to replace the hot water heater and not only did the team of professionals quote pricing for a decent temporary fix, but also competitively quoted the cost for a full replacement (incl. labor).  We went with the replacement and couldn't be more pleased!

Both quotes were very competitive! Service was fast and comprehensive. Didn't take long to schedule the prelim evaluation or the replacement service/repairs.

Never got the courtesy of a response. Not quite getting why Yelp recommended them if that's how they behave. Best to move on from plumbers like this one.
