I had an old gas fired water heater that needed replacing.  I had previously been quoted $1,150 by another HVAC company.  I called Mark and he quoted me $850.  I called him based on his outstanding yelp reviews.  Did Mark live up to his yelp reviews?  Yes.

Things I appreciate:

- Mark quickly returns calls.  Also, if he says he will call you in 3 days, he WILL call you in 3 days.  (Unlike other contractors who forget to call you at all!)

- Mark said he would be at my house at 8am.  I looked out my window at 7:40am and he was there.  The new water heater was installed by 8:40!  

- Mark charged exactly what he quoted.

- Mark took my old water heater away.  Other plumbers don't want to do this and whine about the hassle.

- He is a genuinely nice guy.  I have dealt with other contractors who have an attitude. (Even in this economy! It's like they're doing you a favor.)

I wish Mark did more than plumbing - I'd call him for any job at my house!

After having my sewer line back up twice in two years due to root intrusions in the terracotta (!) pipe, I decided it was time to replace rather than just clear the line.  Travas was one of 3  plumbers that came to assess the issue.   I was impressed with his knowledge of and comfort with excavation.  He offered a fair price and followed through on everything as promised.  Emails and texts were promptly returned, questions thoroughly answered, online payment was easy, and permits and inspection handled without incident.  He and his team got started at 8a and were done by 3p.  I remain impressed with the speedy and professional work.  I've found the plumber I'll be calling for as long as I call Philly home.

I needed someone to assemble my 12 ft Christmas Tree. It weighs nearly 200 pounds and needed to be carted from the basement to the first floor. Within 3 hours of my posting I had an appointment with A-1 Handyman and Home Plumbing. Brandon and his uncle arrived this morning ahead of schedule and within 45 minutes had the tree together and did not break a sweat. Brandon was great. He is polite and respectful and obviously someone who takes pride in his work. He was careful to leave the house as clean as when he arrived. I will keep his number handy for other home repairs that may be needed.
I should also add that he typically does not like to work in my area because of the parking. He likes taking care of Yelp customers so he did agree to complete the job.

Just bought a home. I needed to install a new sink in my bathroom, went to turn off the shutoff valve and boom - valve starts leaking. I call Boss Plumbing and Heating, text them a video of the leak, and Warren and his crew were out the next day. There were some unexpected issues with cutting in a new valve, but they were still able to get the job done fast and done right for a reasonable price. Warren is very responsive and easy to talk to, and if I ever have another plumbing issue, I know who I am calling.

I needed a new toilet installed;  They were quick, reliable, efficient and affordable.  Will defintely use them again for future plumbing needs.

I woke up to a leaking hot water heater on Friday 3/1/2019 at 7am. I called John and he answered quickly. Although he was busy, he told me he would get to me in the afternoon and would let me know when he firmed up the time. He was at my house by 1:30pm and gone by 3:30pm and I had a new hot water heater.  John and his team member were both professional and took the time to answer my questions. I appreciated how easy it was to work with John and I'm obviously appreciative that they could fit me during an emergency situation.  I will be calling John for any future plumbing needs.

It's my second time using them. First time Kit fixed garbage disposal that I thought needed to be replaced at a fraction of the cost. That's when he earned my trust. This time I called for a faucet installation and I needed someone who know what he's doing. I was worried that gold finish  could be scratched during installation. It turned out even better then expected. Completely happy with service.

Rudest receptionist I've ever encountered. We had an emergency and got a bulldog instead of a sympathetic ear.

This business should consider getting someone who understands customer service.

This is 3rd time we used Rick.  Always responsive and communicates.  First rate work and our projects are not easy  Meticulous and very reasonable rates.

Mike is professional and friendly. You can tell he is passionate about his work and always takes great care to do the job right. I had a leaky toilet that needed to be resealed but he went above and beyond, replacing a section of pipe to support the new seal, replaced the rusted bolts, and more. An all around good guy and hard worker. Would definitely recommend him to a friend.

We love these guys. They've come by a few times, they're always friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable, and even willing to teach us something. They can be a little hard to get a hold of in short notice, but John always calls back soon and he's really nice!

I highly recommend them for large and small jobs.

We just bought our house and had water back up into the house from the sewer system. We were stressed because we hadn't even been in the house a month. I found Valdel plumbing on  Angj's list. We couldn't be happier with them. They were very nice, knowledgeable and professional. They needed to dig a path in the front yard and replace the piping due to root intrusion. They did the job quickly and put all the dirt back. We will recommend them to anyone that needs any plumbing needs.

Decided not to use them but appreciated their quick response. I like companies They charge $87.00 to come out. I like the companies that come out & give Free Estimates. I already paid $55 for Alliance to come out and they told me what I needed so I didn't want to pay another $87 for them to come out and get their charge for what I already needed to get repaired therefore I looked for another company who did free estimates. The woman I spoke to who works there Christine was very nice she did say they had a $60 off coupon to use and she did give me a price on a new toilet which the other company told me I needed. But when I found a company who gave me free estimates this licensed & insured company repaired all the insides of my toilet tank & it cost me half the price. My toilet works perfectly. Plus, I saved a lot of money! McGonigle Plumbing in Maple Shade, NJ ---ask for Tom.

I've had Chris and his team do a number of jobs for me in the past 5 years. I've always had good results, and Chris is always very willing to explain options and choose the best solution for the job. Definitely my go-to plumber.

Minor toilet problem, came promptly, repaired problem, reasonable cost---exactly what I wantrd

Mr. Rooter plumbing was great. We had a huge crack in our sewage line into the concrete. They were able to give a consultation same day and snaked the drains same day as well. They were very knowledgeable and professional. They even followed up with us and were able to schedule their work in the same week. They came 2 days in a row to drill into the concrete, remove the old plumbing and insert new PVC pipes. They did a great job and for a reasonable price. All their workers are very friendly as well.
The only thing that wasn't 5-star worthy is they left some old piping in our front lawn for a couple of days. We were told someone would come pick them up next day but we had to bug them for a couple of days to come get it.

Kevin came out the same day for a difficult water heater project and was able to make it work.

Appreciate all the help! I would definitely recommend him to others and will be using him for future jobs.
