Wanda is the best !   JMW saved me from a major DEP violation/fine with plumbing that was not up to code in my building.   They did this work quickly, expertly, and at a VERY fair price.   Others had quoted much more.  Wanda is very easy to communicate with and explained clearly what the problem was and how to handle it.  I will be calling JMW for all my plumbing needs in the future.

Our water heater started leaking shortly after we moved into our new home.
I contacted a few plumbers via yelp. Mario was one of three who replied and the only one who came to the house to check that the water heater was indeed dying and to provide us with an accurate quote.

We had a power vented gas water heater and it would have been simple to just replace it with the same thing. This is what all plumbers including Mario suggested.
Somehow I convinced myself to get a heat pump electric water heater instead. Mario was very responsive and provided me with all the info I requested regarding the different types of water heaters he could install.

He managed all aspects of the installation including hiring a licensed electrician and filing the permits.

As other reviewers have pointed out, Mario is very friendly but also very professional. From my recent experience with various contractors, this combination is not all that frequent. Hopefully, I won't have another emergency but if I do I will call him.

I called at 9:45 pm about my clogged washer drain. John O'Grady called me back within a half hour. He said he doesn't do this type of work but would give me the name of someone that does and is good. I thought it was nice of him to try to help me out.

These guys are the nicest and most knowledgeable in all of NYC! I had an emergency plumbing situation in my bathroom shower and within minutes, despite this time being one of their busiest seasons, two Algozini guys showed up and quickly resolved my issue. I have been using Harris Plumbing for the last 20 years. The staff is professional and accommodating. They explain the ins and outs and pros and cons of each Job. Patsy, Joe and Tony are great. They are licensed and are above board with their work and do not take short cuts. When they do a job, it's complete.  My only challenge using them is they are not readily available on weekends and late evenings for emergencies but on weekdays, you can get them at 7am and they are very responsive to your needs, often same day to within 24 hours. Their workers have been honest, professional, flexible, reliable and respectful.

John was a friendly and professional plumber. He even waited for me while I went to the store to get parts. Would highly recommend.

This is that quintessential good plumber you tell all your friends about. The owner's name is Scott and he is as professional as they come. If he doesn't answer your call directly, he will return your call well within 24 hours if it isn't an emergency and within minutes for emergency calls. I have been using him since 1996 for various plumbing jobs and just this past month I gave him the business of converting our old oil burner to a natural gas one. He personally came for the estimate and even measured our radiators to put the perfect sized boiler in. He and his staff had the entire job done in 2 days. We were out of heat for only hours. I recommend this plumber for all your plumbing needs for people in the Bloomfield, Glen Ridge, Montclair and surrounding areas.

Branden is the best! Always helpful and patient even when he is super busy, which he always is. Great place. Enjoy doing business with them.

Highly recommend and will definitely use them again. Our A/C unit broke down just before the 4th of July weekend and we had some serious heat and humidity. I gave SafeHaven a call based on all the 5 star reviews - and they lived up to that rating! They offered an early Saturday morning call, which we jumped on. They arrived early and We were immediately comfortable with the technician, who was friendly and obviously knowledgeable. He was very open about what was likely the issue and gave excellent advice on what to do and not to do. Without question, I will call on them again when and if I need to.

Michael and his team are what you would consider going above and beyond what is expected. We had a leak in our finished basement over Memorial Day weekend and they made all our problems go away. They took the time to explain what it was they were doing and you can tell they were genuine and not just out to make a cash grab. It's rare these days to find that kind of service. Overall, I would definitely recommend them.

I've never seen a water heater in worse condition than mine!

I heard about Pelham through my friend as I am new to New York City.  Pelham delivered very reliable service in a timely manner.  Greg was great over the phone and very accommodating with my requests.  I will definitely use them again!! :)

Great family owned feel!

I can not recommend this company and here's why.

I called to schedule an appointment and went through the list of what I needed done - change a radiator valve, bleed a radiator and unclog the tub. The person I spoke with said it's $165/hour + parts. They should be able to finish the job in an hour.  

Plumbers came, worked for 30 minutes, left for an hour (not sure where they went), came back and finished the job. The bill I got was for $430.

I called the office to say that the cost was much more expensive than what I quoted. The receptionist said, well, sometimes jobs take longer. Ok, well that should have been communicated and it wasn't.

Look elsewhere. I know I won't do business with this place again.

Given that I began calling around for a plumber late on Tuesday, I did not expect too much.   I called Watson to help with a delta faucet leak that I could not complete myself.  Although Watson was busy, they did call me back and the did try to accommodate.  To my surprise, they were able to come the same day and they did a great job.  I would definitely use them again.  Thanks Watson!

Called up and made an appointment (after a 10 minute wait on phone). Assured of the time I left work to get home on time. 10 minutes after they were meant to show, I get a call saying they are having car trouble and can we reschedule for tomorrow. I realize that things happen, but the guy slipped up and said we're really busy today which to me means that they tried to sneak in an extra call (for $300 to snake a sink) and couldn't make it happen. Bad business sense and a huge waste of my afternoon.

This company is working by my apartment building and as they were loading pipes on to there cart they left it unattended and it dented my vehicle.There supervisor was standing there with them they just walked away and pretended like it didn't happen luckily for me another company was working there and told me what happened and now they don't take my calls and refuse to pay for the damages they did to my vehicle.
