I HIGHLY recommend Main Man. We had a sprinkler company in to turn on our system. They broke the valve which turns the water off and on and then high tailed it out of here when they realized that the also couldn't locate the main water valve in the street to turn the water off. We called a few people and one company who has multiple yelp positive reviews said we would need to open up the street and change all the pipes as well as replacing the main pipe in the house. They said they would have to rip up our blue stone and would not be responsible for any damages. They also said it would take 2 days and cost nearly $14,000. We called Scott at Main Man and he called us immediately. He came in SAVED the day. He did his homework and knew exactly where the main outside valve was. He told us the pipes outside were fine and did not need replacing. He turned off the water, changed the inside pipe and was out of here in 4 hours for less then  half of what the other company quoted us. If you want someone who is super honest, fast and a PRO. . Our toilet had a stoppage in the middle of the night. After consulting with multiple plumbers, Akeim of Sturks Sewer Works was able to clear the blockage and get the toilet back into functional order at a very reasonable rate. Thank you so much Akeim!

We had to get our kitchen faucet replaced, due to a leak. We sent him a video, and he was able to diagnose the problem and get a technician out right away to help us get the problem fixed.

Patrick from his team came out and was nice, pleasant and a total pro, who explained to us what he was doing, since me and my fiancé would like to be able to fix a similar problem should it happen in the future. Great professional service. Will absolutely use again when needed.

Had a bolier issue and have been unhappy with the last, oh, ten plumbers we've used.   Asked around the neighborhood and everyone's response was Don't know, but if you find a good one give me their number!   I ended up getting Downtown's recommendation from a contractor who I trust, and my search is over. I was 80% sure  I didn't need anything replaced and they didn't try to throw expensive solutions out before they looked closely (been there too many times) or have even a hint of upsell during the call (ditto).  They knew what they were doing, solved the problem for a price I was happy to pay, and I was back in business.   Domenic has a great manner and is an excellent communicator.  Everything, from phone calls to figure when they could come to doing the job and filling me in on what I had going on was handled professionally and to the satisfaction of anyone's standards.  

Will definitely be using them from now on.

Our kitchen needed remodeling. Honestly, my wife and I purchased a new kitchen countertop and we were looking for someone install it. Samir by far is a great choice. He made us feel very comfortable, answered all our questions, and also suggested a few other options. The installation was quick, neat and perfect. He educated us throughout the installation and has a great sense of humor. You can tell that he really enjoys his work and understands what the customer needs. Definitely a great choice. I should've expected a snarky attitude from this guy when I read his replies to other people who gave legitimate criticism. This guy is so nasty for reasons I can't quite understand. First of all, his business wasn't open on time so I called an alternate number and perhaps he was grumpy because it was early but he wanted to charge $200/ hr to come and estimate the work when I ask for clarity if $200/ hr was for the actual work or the estimate he replies I don't work for free no one asked you to work for free I just wanted to be clear.  As a homeowner I understand that plumbers charge service fees but usually plumbers will say we charge a service fee of $$ and if you choose us to do the work this will be applied to your cost simple and professional.

After speaking with him I'm very suspicious of all these 5 star reviews.  Naturally I'm sure the owner won't hesitate to provide a nasty response but readers of these reviews should note that several people have raised the same complaint about this guy. Don't make the same mistake I made and overlook the tone in his replies to people and the highly accurate feedback about his negative demeanor.  Ideally, one expects a plumber to knowledgable, trustworthy and at least cordial which inspires confidence that they know what they're doing but more importantly it earns credibility that you'll make things right in the event something unexpected happens. Sure you can fix a simple kitchen sink and get 5 stars but when you're contracted for more complicated and pricey work how will you respond if the unexpected occurs? There's too many plumbers in Brooklyn to endure unprofessional nastiness - if this is his behavior before doing the work I can't imagine how horrible he will be at handling anything that may go wrong. Previous reviewers have noted just how bad he is at addressing your concerns when you aren't happy.  It isn't even about the $200 since I don't mind spending for quality work on my home this is about character and it's just not worth the risk that this guy does inferior work and then treats you with disregard after you've spent your money.

Best service Ive ever had from a business.I had a problem with the DEP not accepting my backflow test results due to the initial test being filled out incorrectly by a Build it Back architect,Tom and his staff did all the legwork contacting all the parties involved and rectified the situation.They saved me a lot of money in fines,And also saved me from having to hire another architect.They asked for nothing in return,even though they spent alot of time and energy on my case.

Quick response and reasonably priced quote. We needed a leak repaired in our main bathroom as well as replacing a vanity. While he was here, he noticed the toile needed to be fixed and offered to that that for a small additional charge. Very friendly and professional. Arrived on time, got the job done quickly and efficiently. We are hiring him again to do some work to our master bathroom.

Great experience with Robert and his team. We had a major clog on the day of the election and he made accomodations and came by in 3 hours! Spent the whole time making sure they find the source of the blockage (roots in the sewage pipe 100 feet away!). Very approachable when asked questions and provided real logical responses. I rarely give reviews but when its due, it's for a worthy cause. As for the bottom line - very reasonable compared to the others who gave mediocre results and on top - ripoff (I know them). very disappointed that I thought this guy is cheap or at least reasonable when most charge only $49.99 I feel he rip me off by charging me $350 cash for a 15 minutes job using just snake to clean the sewer see pic. this is exactly what he used to drain the sewer

At times you will see a van with advertising Drain Sewer for $49.99 because they only use snake (see pic) and it only cost $42.05 at Zoro this is exact Snake he used

He did not even use the professional machine (see pic) maybe I won't feel bad

He is a very sensitive guy too, he took advantage of my being naive and vulnerability since the basement is already flooded.

When I called his office the woman says it's a free estimate? his estimate is $350 and went to his van to get the small red snake (see pic)

Also, this company offer a 1-year warranty if they have to come back and Drain the sewer pipe again all I have to pay is $50.00 (all the time they have to re-do their draining) -

Really rude and unhelpful. Just needed one part and they were going to charge extra bs fees for handling. Do yourself a favor and buy exactly what you need online
