O'Grady Plumbing

I have nothing but good things to say about O'Grady Plumbing NYC....I  have had a main drain backed up issue 3 times since I bought my house 1 1/2 years ago. I had used Empire but I felt they only solved the issue temporarily and they were very costly  to happen again after 6montha. So I decided to call Roto Rooter. Two young in experience Plumbers came to my home.They stayed 30mins used a 50ft snake once and told me there was nothing that can be done that O would need to contact the city to break the concrete to get at the drain with the blockage.

Looking through the internet for another Plumber I saw great reviews about O'Grady so decided to get another opinion. John called me and he was super sweet and tmasked all the right questions. He sent over Con. Con was so knowledgeable and went beyond any Plner that we have had work on the drain. He snaked twice, did the jet three times and did the camera to show me what was going with my the drain. If it was another Plumber they would have gave up after a hour. But Con worked on my drain for 4 hours and made the drain was good.  With all that said they also charged me half the cost of the work. Any other Company would have charged double or triple. I recommend O'Grady 1000%! They are good people who care!

I can't say enough about this family business.
I needed a curb valve installed and was told to called these guys for the job.  I had no idea about permits and cost but John and his crew took care of the entire process. They were able to find the valve that some idiot buried into the sidewalk and put in a new one saving me a fortune!!

O'Grady Plumbing is the ONLY company to call in the event of a water main break. John O'Grady showed up at the site within hours, evaluated the problem, took pictures, and then visit me at my home (a different location). This is a FAMILY BUSINESS. John's father founded the company. He is extremely knowledgeable, articulate, and well-connected. He pulled the needed permits within hours and was on the job the next morning. He had the street closed and the job was done in two days. In sharp contrast, do not call Luke of Underground Plumbing Watermains & Sewers. He was unable to give me any useful information when I called him and was a no-show. He never even followed up.

Before selling our home, we had to have the first floor piping changed due to it being turned off and Con Ed placing a lock on the meter. From the beginning, Josephine was very patient and explained everything the entire process to us. We needed things done very quickly (like yesterday) and they did not disappoint. A process that could be overwhelming, Josephine made it easy because of her knowledge and expertise. I would highly recommend them!

My dad had pipe problems at his home in the Bronx.  John and his team came and fixed the problem in ONE DAY.  It included a massive dig, repiping, major fixes.

I needed a broken. backed-up sewer line replaced in the Bronx.
Fortunately, a contact referred me to Mr. O'Grady, who met with me within the day; explained the work needed; obtained the necessary NYC permits; and started the repair work within a day.
The sewer repair work was carried out in an extremely efficient and professional manner, inspected and passed by the NYC Sewer Inspector, and is now fully functional again. Thank you Mr. O'Grady and crew.

I called at 9:45 pm about my clogged washer drain. John O'Grady called me back within a half hour. He said he doesn't do this type of work but would give me the name of someone that does and is good. I thought it was nice of him to try to help me out.

So my Mom has had this terrible sewer problem for over a year now.  She has had a number of plumbers come in to help but before long, the sewet backs up again.  She called for help yesterday and was connected to John from O'Grady Plumbing,  John said he would come that day (and he did) and he came with a MONSTER piece of equipment that got the job done!  He gave my Mom so good, sound, reasonable advice that I believe will help her going forward.  He and Jamie were quick, knowledgeable, and patient with all our questions. Five stars for the work, but TEN stars for the professional time they took to explain things to my Mom.  TOTALLY RECOMMEND!

Martin O'Grady is knowledgeable and dependable.  When I needed the water service line to my house replaced due to a leak, I did my due diligence; I got all the estimates and did my research.  Not only did Mr. O'Grady offer a very competitive price; but he shared his knowledge so I could make a good decision.  He was punctual; followed up with all the necessary permits and his crew did a fantastic job.  They even worked with me to save my front yard lawn.  Martin and his crew are first rate.  If you have an issue with your water or sewer line, call them first and hire them after you talk to the rest.

Received call from David two days after I left message. Sent him photo of problem, and never heard back.

Recently I needed to have a new water line installed from my home to the city main.  I called Mr. O'Grady and he came to my home that very day to ascertain the problem.  Doing business with Mr. O'Grady was thoroughly enjoyable as he know exactly what to do to get the job done in a timely manner.  He is indeed a master plumber.  Within days he secured the necessary permits and arranged for his crew to do the appropriate work.  I highly and without reservation recommend O'Grady Plumbing.  It is an excellent firm, and with Mr. O'Grady at the helm, one that you will always be able to rely on for outstanding and professional workmanship. We had a water main break in our house in Yonkers.  I called 3 plumbers who all quoted me 15-30K to repair.  Martin O'Grady came over, and was able to do the job for under 5K.  The reason is that he specializes in sewers and water mains.  The other guys don't have excavation teams on staff-- they just subcontract all of the excavation, which is very expensive.  Martin's guys are on staff, and know just what they are doing.  Martin is a nice older Irish guy who knows what's what, and took care of the whole problem.  I hopefully won't have another problem with the water, but if I do, I would call O'Grady Plumbing without hesitation.

Don't call anybody else. This is the most outstanding company that I have ever dealt with. I needed emergency help to replace my sewer pipe. They came on a Sunday morning and finished the job the same day. A very big job, they came with a big crew and worked and worked and worked. Very polite and very professional. I highly recommend them.
