Had a leak from our toilet down into the living room. Simple as resetting the toilet. Cost was not unreasonable and very up front pricing - no hidden tricks or gimmicks. Woman on the phone was a lovely person and so pleasant and communicative. I've definitely been burned by plumbers before but these guys were true professionals. Quick work and left no mess. Simple problem and they didn't make it a hard fix. Will definitely use them again if needed.

We've been having issues with the toilet running when not in use as well as the water mysteriously shutting off when in use.

I've always cooked on a gas stove.  I moved into my new house two years ago.  Heating and hot water was gas, but the stove was electric. After two years of frustration and hearing all the talk about gas stoves being banned, I decided to switch. Safehaven replaced a broken sewage pump in my new house two years ago, so I called them first. The estimate came in a tad over budget, but I was able to save on the gas stove thanks to a Presidents Day sale. Joe and Steve arrived on time to run the gas line.  Tom, the owner, stopped by to see how the job was going. They did a great job running the gas line around the outside of my house to the kitchen. They also installed the stove perfectly. Lori Ann in the office was great also. I highly recommend Safehaven.

Joe and Steve from Safehaven Home Services recently installed a new gas water heater which was a replacement for a water heater which had failed prematurely. Both workers were very professional in their diagnosis of our old water heater problem and did the installation in a very timely manner. They had also previously installed a pressure relief valve which would minimize any damage to our boiler due to overpressure by incoming water from SCWA. Their work was superb and Lorianne, the office manager, scheduled everything perfectly for us. The price given to us for the amount of  work done was very good. I highly recommend Safehaven Home Services for any plumbing services required.

I was super happy with my first experience with Safehaven but my second experience wasn't so great. After a full season of running, I had Savehaven come out for our yearly maintenance. When they came out, they spent less than 30 mins here from arrival to driving away and said everything was clean and that no cleaning was required. I ran the burner for an entire season (Sept. to July of the next year) but for some reason, they kept saying that they were here recently which they were not. They only changed the filter, said everything was clean and charged me $250 for this service.

The first time around, they were in the house working on the boiler for maybe 2 hours and cleaned everything inside the boiler and changed the filter. I was expecting this level of service the second time around and wondered why I paid $250 for this service when 95% of it was not done and apparently not needed.

I will find another company the next time around.

We remodeled two of our bathrooms utilizing Safehaven for the plumbing part of our project.    Tom and the safehaven team were an absolute pleasure to work with. All we came in contact with through the process were reliable, showed up timely and very helpful. The work was done well and we are enjoying our new bathrooms in less than 3 weeks time start to finish. Besides the team doing the work being such a positive experience, the customer service and support we received from Lori Ann was also exceptional! She was extremely responsive and patient while we got our act together and cooridinating with a contractor as well as flexible to work out schedules.   Would highly recommend using Safehaven to anybody in need of plumbing services.

I had a leak I couldn't pinpoint. After speaking with Lori Ann a couple of times we locked in an appointment. She was on the ball from the beginning of this and right up until the end. Thomas showed up a couple days later as scheduled and right on time with a smile on his face. His overall demeanor helped ease some of the stress me and my wife were having. He was very diligent, meticulous, patient, and most of all, knowledgeable. Eventually he traced the leak to the source, explained how the water gets from point A to point B without me seeing it, and provided priceless advice and answers along the way for any question I had (I had a lot). What I can tell you is; if you've got Thomas coming over your house for work in the afternoon, you're going to want to ask him to stay for dinner. Thanks Thomas.

Tom and Safehaven plumbing did an excellent job installing a new shower faucet kit in our home. The team was professional, personable and sensitive to our request to wear masks in the house due to health issues in our family which we appreciated greatly! Lori was very helpful in scheduling the appointment and explaining what we would need to provide and what to expect.
The work was done extremely well, Tom discussed the plan with us before he began and completed it in a timely fashion. He was very meticulous in his work and the room was left very clean. I would highly recommend!

These people are absolutly amazing!! I called the office in a bind, needed a bathroom leak fix on the same day. Lori was so helpful calming and got Joe here to fix the problem in 20 minutes! He did a pristine job, saved us from almost not closing on our house! Would highly recommend to anyone, and they were fairly priced! Amazing work team! We are truly more grateful than you know!

Extremely polite and helpful! Although They haven't done any work for me I can confidently recommend them. I called to ask about having a camera inspection done of a waste water line in my home. I was told that, due to local law, they were not allowed to work in my area (Islip). After a short but nice conversation I was given the number of a business they have recommended in the past that could help me and they did.
Better than any big plumbing empire. Go with the local guys.

I am extremely please with the work that Joe did connecting our generator.  Other plumbers did not want to be bothered with a small job like this one, but Joe showed up, ran back out to get the parts and was back in record time.  He tested everything and when he left, I was confident that the generator was now ready to be used. Finally!!!!  AND it was fairly priced.  I highly recommend Safehaven Home Services.

Safehaven did a really good job fixing the Freon leak for my hvac. Lori-Ann was very nice and patient with me throughout the process. She even got back to my call on a Saturday because I was worried about the situation. The technicians are also very good at their job and took their time to explain to me what they did and how everything works. I had a really nice experience with the company and I'll definitely call them if I need any home service in the future.

5 stars is not enough to give to this amazing team . This is a family business in every aspect and not only did they put my wife and I's mind at ease, but they treated us like we were part of their family. We had an old water heater and tricky situation. They were able to move the water heater into our crawl space, moved around duct work for the water heater , answered all our questions when asked , and most of all never gave up on us. They found the solution after some
days of outweighing different ideas and Lori consistently checked in with us to let us know any updates. Tom, Joe and Lorenzo really diagnosed the problem and thoroughly checked to make sure everything was going to work out. Thank you Lori, Tom, Lorenzo and Joe! It is truly rare in a a sea of mediocre service businesses to find one that is exceptional in all respects. Tommy and Lorenzo came to my home on time during an ice storm and proceeded to explain exactly what was required to determine the issue and the resolve. I was anticipating a major undertaking with a slab leak. They proved out, in terms that I could understand, the issue or the lack there of. The cost for the work and diagnosis performed was fair by anyones standards. I plan to use them for any of my plumbing needs and would  recommend them without hesitation!!!

If I could give Tommy and his team (Lorenzo, Joe, Lori-Ann, & someone I haven't met yet), 10 stars, I would.  **********.  First, I found them on Yelp so thank you to all of the reviewers who gave them high ratings.  I was extremely unhappy with the last plumber I used, so when my boiler decided to stop working, I needed to find someone who was highly rated.  Tommy told me what was going on with  my gas boiler, and pointed out that my 15 year old water heater had a slow gas leak, so we needed to plan for that as well. We thought we wanted the highest efficiency gas boiler/hot water system, but he pointed out that if we lost power, we wouldn't have hot water.  Since we've been without power for numerous days several times due to storms, this wasn't a great option for us.  So we went with the higher efficiency and separate hot water heater--which is still much more efficient than what we previously had.  He gave me an estimate (and of course, we had several estimates), and his pricing was very fair.  Even though the prices had gone up do to supply chain issues, he honored the price he gave us.  He explained things so clearly  that deciding to use Safe Haven was a no-brainer.  It's a family-run business, so he didn't give me an estimate and then send a guy with one of his trucks to do the work.  He doesn't work that way.  He and his crew handle all the jobs.  He and his crew were extremely neat.  Also, (and this might be what I loved about them the most), the day after the installation we found that we had no heat in my daughter's room.  Not their fault--it had to do with the way a contractor had reconfigured pipes when we were doing a renovation, so it was a behind the walls issue that he couldn't have seen.  Still, he made it a priority, left his crew at a large commercial job they were working on (not near my home) and ran back to my home to figure out and fix the problem.  
I couldn't finish this review without mentioning his fabulous one-woman back office staff--Lori-Ann.  She was amazing.  She tracked him down to ask him questions we were concerned about before he started the job, and when we had the problem with the heat still not working in part of the house, she tracked him down, made sure he was going to be getting to us that day.  Lori has a way of making you feel like her new best friend or part of her family.  I am going to miss speaking with her every day.  

Even though they aren't located in Huntington, where I live, (and they go all over the island, so don't let that stop you), they are now my plumbers for as long as I live on Long Island and I will happily recommend them (I actually already have) to clients and friends.

Highly recommend and will definitely use them again. Our A/C unit broke down just before the 4th of July weekend and we had some serious heat and humidity. I gave SafeHaven a call based on all the 5 star reviews - and they lived up to that rating! They offered an early Saturday morning call, which we jumped on. They arrived early and We were immediately comfortable with the technician, who was friendly and obviously knowledgeable. He was very open about what was likely the issue and gave excellent advice on what to do and not to do. Without question, I will call on them again when and if I need to.

We had the pleasure of a slab leak in our dining room.  Our first call was to Lori-Ann at Safehaven who sent Tom and Lorenzo over to our house in a matter of hours.  They quickly diagnosed the problem area and gave us a fair estimate.

We called back, made an appointment and had the repair done on schedule and within the estimate.

I'm glad it's over and I'm glad that we now have a reliable and fair plumbing service to reach out to for the next time.

Safehaven couldn't have chosen a better name for their company! They saved our renovation and our sanity. We had master suite extension done and the previous contractor and his plumber were an absolute nightmare. They made many mistakes, to the point that we finally had enough and looked to have the issues fixed and the job completed by another plumber. Lori, the office manager, is an awesome person and her communication with us, from pricing, to questions about scheduling was amazing. She always got back to me in a very timely manner and is an extremely pleasant and professional person to deal with. Tom, from Safehaven came over and was very thorough and honest in his estimate of what needed to be done to fix the issues cause day the other plumber as well as to complete this job. This was a 3 day job. Tom and Lorenzo showed up each day on time, was extremely professional and courteous, and did an outstanding job! Tom took the time to make sure that we were comfortable with the placement of our fixtures and double checked to make sure we understand all aspects of the scope of work. They had to deal with some difficult issues due to the incompetence of the other plumber but they did so with patience, professionalism and grace. On the second day we discovered a leak that was caused by the first plumbing company. I called Lori and she got right back to me. Tom sent over his coworkers within 30 minutes of my call to take care of the other plumber's error. If that is not genuine concern for his clients and true professionalism, I don't know what is!
They left our place spotless and Tom made sure to go over everything he did in detail with us and made sure that we understood how to operate everything before he left. This was the first time I smiled during this whole renovation.

First to respond. I received a quote the same day I emailed pictures that was requested. They were on time and completed the job quickly and professionally. They replaced my expansion tank on my water heater. They rerouted the water line and hung it correctly. They found a small leak on my water heater and fixed it. They replaced the fill valve on my toilet and installed a bidet. I mentioned a leak on my spigot outside. I was told the leak was from the packing. He repaired it. He could have said it required replacement, he didn't. Most important, they are on time, professional and are very nice people. They took their time to explain things. I had some questions and they answered them. I paid less then what I was quoted. They also give a military discount. I recommend Safehaven Home Services. When needed I will use them again.

Believe all of these great reviews- they are 100% accurate!  I needed a toilet installed and found Safehaven on Yelp.  I am so glad I did.  Lori was friendly when I called to schedule and was always quick to respond to an email or text.  Thomas and Lorenzo were on time and efficient.  Thomas took the time to explain the work he did and made sure I was happy with the work.  Excellent service all around.   I will definitely use this family run business again.

If you are looking for an honest Plumbing/Heating company look no further. I called Safehaven last week for a sewer line crack that I had a previous plumbing company tell me they could not fix it. Tom and Lorenzo showed up the next day diagnosed the issue and fixed it perfectly. It is nice to know good quality and service still exist. I will make sure to use Safe Haven for any future projects plus also recommend them to anyone looking for a good company. Also very nice that I received text updates and notices when they were on there way.

10/10! I can't say enough good things about Safehaven!! They helped us remodeled our guest bathroom and did an amazing job. Safehaven was the quickest to respond out of several plumbers I had contacted. Lori, in the office, is always available and is so friendly, helpful and honest with questions, and transparent with pricing - as are the plumbers themselves. Tommy and Lorenzo came to our home for the job - to remodel a single sink vanity into a double sink vanity. Their work was seamless, efficient, and they went so far above and beyond - they left my bathroom clean, shiny, and looking brand new. They were so helpful and patient with any questions we had, and they were SO honest - the work actually ended up being a bit less than originally anticipated, and Tommy reduced our price for the job - I'm blown away by the honesty and professionalism. Loved that they were able to come on short notice!  My water had to be turned off in the house caused by a leaky spigot. They were able to repair it  quickly. And also the repairthe  pipe under kitchen sink.
The guys were extremely polite and explained everything that needed to be done.

SafeHaven is absolutely incredible. They are officially my plumbers for life. Tom Lorenzo Laurie Ann and Joe were so knowledgeable and incredible to work with. They are all so personable and make the experience feel like working with family members. We did an oil to gas conversion which is a daunting process and SafeHaven streamlined everything for us including all permits and all the other complicated things that go along with the conversion. Tom went above and beyond to help us with massive issues we had with the gas company and I couldn't thank him enough. This isn't a normal company, they really care and make you feel completely supported throughout everything. They show up when they say they will and the communication is impeccable. I called asking for someone to come fix an issue we were having with our boiler. CO2 was building up we found out, so it was definitely a pertinent issue. The guy asked me to text him my info and he'd get back to me that day or the next. Didn't hear from him until a week later. I had to find someone else to come. It turns out, the issue was more dangerous than we thought. Thanks for nothing.

My initial call was to explain my problem and make an appointment (obviously). He said to text him my info and someone would be getting back to me, which never happened, hence my review. Don't try to play off like it's my fault. Just take responsibility, or lack there of, of bad customer service.

Amazing and fast service! They were quick to respond to my call and were very clear about when they plan to show up and what their plans were to resolve my issues. They were upfront about their cost and gave me various options to consider. They showed up on time, were respectful of my home, resolved all of my issues, and were very cleaned. Most importantly, they explained everything that they did and educated me on things that I wouldn't know on my own.

Will likely be calling them back for other plumbing and heating issues.

I am a new homeowner, and I was lucky enough to find Tom from SafeHaven. Actually, I have been blessed in many ways throughout this whole process from buying my house up until now. There is nothing worse than working with people and giving your time & money to people that you do not trust, but these past few months I have met many people throughout this whole process whom I would happily call my friend starting with my real estate agent to Tom from SafeHaven.
You will find that stress in your life just starts to decrease when you find and surround yourself with good people. Tom came in and replaced my heating and cooling system with brand new units. I decided to go with an efficient wall mounted condensing boiler (converted from oil to gas) and a new AC system (with new ducts run to the basement) as well as a whole house water filtration system.
Everything works perfectly and the setup is beautiful. All his work is so clean and crisp - very professional! You can tell he cares about his work by his attention to detail, and he personally cares about you and your home. His prices are very reasonable as well! He beat out all the other quotes, and he definitely saved me money in the long run with his advice and lessons from his life experience.

100% amazing service from beginning to end.  We just moved to the neighborhood and needed to find a plumber and Tommie is our guy!  Laurie Ann answered our call almost immediately and was really friendly.  We got an appointment quickly -- when other people were taking a week to come for our clogged sinks -- and Tommie was skilled, quick, explained things to us in a way we could understand and was totally charming to boot!  Also, the price was 1/3 less than the first people we called, who were one of those big name companies, rather than the mom and pop operation that Safehaven is.  Feel really lucky to have found them.  HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

After having a bad experience with two plumbers who failed to solve the tight space issue where my leaking water heater was located, Tom and his crew found a solution. I had excellent communication with LoriAnn in the office who patiently answered all my questions through phone call, texts and emails. I received a detailed estimate in advance and the job was completed professionally and on time as promised with no added fees or attempts to up sell. This is by far the BEST company I have dealt with in many years. They were recommended through my contractor, we gutted my bathroom down to the studs. It is an older home, Tom and Joe came in and replaced all of plumbing lines, I relocated a few things. They then installed all of my beautiful polished chrome fixtures in the shower. They  installed two sinks and the chrome fixtures for those. They installed the knew toilet. The job was done with precision and in a timely fashion. They were a pleasure to have in my home. They are respectful of all COVID rules and they wear booties or remove their shoes. I was so pleased that I decided to use them to install a new water filtration system in my home. I called for an appointment and LoriAnn answered the phone, it turns out she owns the business with her brother Tom. I love to see women in the trades. She is super friendly and knowledgeable. They will come out for any size job. They have a great system, LoriAnn sends emails and texts to remained you of your appointment and you even get a text or email message when the men are en route to your home. They are true master plumbers who can handle all of your plumbing and heating needs. I recommended them to my friend, she wanted her wood fireplace converted to gas, she was thrilled with their work as much as I was with mine. They should be put at the TOP of your list when looking for any type of plumbing or heating job.

I am so happy and relieved that we found Safe Haven. My wife and I desperately needed a new water heater, but our options were limited due to the size of the closet the water heater was in, as well as the size of the rest of the house. On top of that, our water heater was a 16 inch heater which is no longer manufactured. We are first time homeowners, so this process seemed like it was going to be a real headache. However, thanks to Tom, Lori, Lorenzo, and Joe (all of which are lovely people and very responsive) we figured out our solution and were set up very quickly! All work was done in a timely manner. The best! My husband and I are relatively new homeowners and haven't all of our *people* yet. Well, we had a major boiler issue at 7pm and had no heat (and it was 27 degrees out!) We looked here on yelp for some reviews and picked Safehaven. We made the right choice! They spoke to us immediately and made it to our house that night. Tom stayed until we were up and running, and came back the next day to finish things up. We were not taken advantage of in any way despite being an emergency call, and Tom was honestly one of the nicest people we've met.

I'm so glad I called Safe Haven! Called them on Saturday and if not because of how late I called they'd have replaced our water tank that same day!

Went above and beyond to ensure we knew what we should do. Fixed a hot water heater issue that had been rigged as a temporary fix by previous owner. Very pleased with the service.

It is rare when you have a service experience deserving of a 5-Star rating. Safehaven Home services proved to be Personable, Professional, On-time, Honest, and Affordable. From the first call, Lori Ann was friendly, informative and set very clear expectations for our service visit, including what proved to be an accurate price quote based on our needs. Joe, the tech who completed the job, was very prompt, respectful and professional. He completed our plumbing job in less than an hour and was very thorough. He pointed out anything he noticed and gave me the information I needed to make informed decisions on the repair. While the job required additional parts, the cost was minimal and honest. More important than fixing the problem, Joe fixed my distrust of service people. I used the option on Yelp to send estimate requests to several local plumbers for a toilet that was taking too long to fill and for a leaky faucet sink . Safehaven was one of the first companies to respond and offered the most reasonable price. Some companies sent me a shady we will provide an estimate in person message which I ignored .  Thomas ( owner) came the following day with an assistant (Cody) and arrived on time . The company sends a message alerting you when they are en route which I really appreciated.  Upon arrival they quickly identified the problems . I also surprised Thomas with two other plumbing issues and he got right to work . I'm very happy with the work and the prices . He charges flat rates and offers various discounts.  He is a friendly person and will explain everything to you as he works. ( and in my case repeat it all over again for hubby over the phone) They also clean up any mess they make before they leave which is just amazing.  Unfortunately, like taxes,  plumbing issues are inevitable so it's best to be prepared with a good company when something does go wrong . Safehaven is definitely the company to call!

This is the second time Tom from Safehaven has been to my house, and I can't say enough good things about him. The first visit was for a routine boiler service. I called and left a message, got a phone call back right away. I was able to make an appt easily, and Tom and his apprentice showed up right on time. Believe it or not, it's actually difficult to find someone willing to come over for a simple service. Great service, great price, really nice guys. Planned on using them again. But the second visit is the one which made me write this review.
I woke up this morning with no heat and a pool of water surrounding my boiler and hot water heater. I called Tom. He was booked for the day, but told me he would fit me in because he didn't want me to be here with the kids with no heat in the cold weather. He came, diagnosed the problem (and explained it thoroughly to me), fixed it, and got my heat and hot water back on. He was late for a family event to help us out. Not only that, he noticed that my son had spilled a bunch of water on the floor while playing, grabbed a mop and helped me clean it up!
It's not common these days to come upon a person like this; honest, reliable, skilled, kind, and not out to break your bank. If I could give 10 stars I would. Call him.

I cannot say enough positive things about Thomas Drago and Safehaven Home Services. Responsible, reliable and responsive. We were so worried about having to have someone come to our home during Stay At Home order to fix our kitchen drain. Thomas responded immediately, came over right away and explained everything that was going on. He was all gloved up and wearing a mask. He fixed it within minutes. Pricing was very reasonable and there were no surprises. Best of all, he's a professional and friendly. Will definitely use him again.

I'm a pretty handy guy and try to do as much as I can before I call a professional. When my kitchen sink clogged, I tried everything I could to get it flowing. I called Safehaven and Tom had it fixed in 10 min. His price was reasonable and he was very professional. On top of all that Tom is a really nice guy who cares about his customers. I have no problem highly recommending Safehaven for any plumbing needs.

After having a negative experience with plumbing in the past, I was nervous when I found my hot water heater drip drip dripping away.  I did the usual review search and came across great reviews for Safehaven Home Services and gave them a call.  So glad I did!  I called on a holiday and they answered immediately and scheduled me asap.  The owner Tom and his helper Cody were awesome from start to finish, even sending a text when they were en route.  They called around and got me a great price on a new hot water heater (mine was way past it's prime) and were able to do it in record time, taking into account my work schedule.  They cleaned up, hauled out my old tank, and even helped me to look up my heat pump's age (for curiosities sake).  I do not hesitate in recommending them to new, nervous homeowners like myself.  You will be glad you did and I'm glad to have a new plumber!

After contacting several plumbers I received the best response and quote from Thomas at Safehaven. He was very professional and booking an appointment was easy. The day of the appointment, I received a text to let me know they were on the way. They arrived promptly and I immediately felt I was in good hands. Polite and friendly, they take pride in their work. After removing an older toilet, there were some possible issues with the seating in the floor. Thomas explained to me best-case and worse-case scenarios before he proceeded. At the same time, other contractors were working in my kitchen and asked them if they had a small part for my sink. Thankfully they did and they were happy to help. At the end, Thomas took his time to explain the charges on the bill with a clear breakdown. He also offered some helpful information for my kitchen remodel. After they left, I noticed they left the area clean and even neatly placed the bathroom throw rug. The little things! Good vibes, good people, good job, good price. Highly recommend.
