Best Plumbing Services in Massachusetts
I called Mike Hickey in a panic this morning, he happened to be in the neighborhood, came right over and luckily my furnace seemed to be working ok, although it hadn't been the day before. Mike was professional, courteous, and refused any payment.
I'm so glad to be able to have a plumber in my town to call upon in the future!

Things have so changed for the negative since Dick Steadman turned the business over to his son. It is too bad we used them for years

Ray arrived early (wow!), did the needed work quickly, and got it inspected just as fast - with no problems whatsoever.
Two comments: Ray may charge a few dollars more than some other plumbers, but in the professional trades, I've always believed that you get what you pay for. Being cheap just doesn't pay in the long run.
The other comment is to be VERY wary of any plumber that doesn't list his/her license. By law, a plumber's license type and number must be shown on any sign, listing, or advertisement. If he/she doesn't list it, they're probably not licensed, and you could run into insurance problems if there's ever the need for a claim.

Still the best plumber. We discovered a pvc pipe that had nails through it from when the original renovation occurred in 2013. Over time the crack worsened, and we came home to water all over our downstairs bathroom. Joseph G. Perry managed to fix it sooner than I had hoped.

If you're looking for gas fireplace sales or service stop searching and call these guys. I was shocked to see the consistently bad reviews of all the the other fireplace stores/installers in metro Boston.
I recently purchased a house with a gas fireplace in serious disrepair and was expecting to have to replace the insert. I called Mazzinini at 8:30 one morning and they were at my house at 1:30 the same day. Within an hour the tech had cleaned and repaired the insert, saving me the $5000 cost of replacement. He explained everything to me in detail and even saved me another $200 by offering to find a new battery cover for the old fireplace remote, rather than having to replace it.

I highly recommend this plumber. They showed up within and hour of my call and fixed my toilet in record time. Very friendly and professional service.

I have used Alewife over the past few years both at the business I GM as well as at friends' houses and my own. They have always proven to be timely, affordable, informative, and most importantly, good at what they do. They all seem happy, which proves that they are treated well and are all around a pleasure to work with!

Dave was prompt, courteous and professional! Backflow valve looks brand new. Did the entire repair in approximately 30 minutes. Wrote him a check for the exact amount of the quote. No issues. I highly recommend the company!

I would highly recommend Mike. He is very nice, dependable, respectful of your time (will call if running late) and does great work. It was a really good experience hiring him.

We had major issues with our sewer line and downstairs toilet. We called Paul after having a clog removed by a local drain cleaning company to fix the pipe that had burst. Paul scheduled us that day, and when his initial work didn't alleviate the problem, he came back almost immediately. In fact, he came a total of four times and wouldn't rest until the problem was solved. It ended with him replacing the toilet, quickly and efficiently. He treated me with respect, yet got right to the point and was willing to work with me to identify the problem. He was beyond reasonable when it came to pricing. I am so grateful to Paul for his dedication to me as a customer in this matter!

Rich Mathews installed my boiler and hot water tank about 5 years ago. At the time my old system suddenly crashed we were in the middle of a intense cold wave. I found him by random and he called me back immediately. He arrived at my house with 6 space heaters BEFORE I even agreed to hire him. His price was totally fair and his work, even according to the Nahant plumbing inspector, was superior. Both him and his son great guys, super friendly, respectful and total pros that stand by their work 100%.
Fast forward 5 years my hot water wasn't working, I called him this week, he remembered me and showed up that day. Turned out it was a simple fix and he wouldn't take a penny. I tired to force him to at least take money for coming to my house, he said no way, once my customer always my customer. If you need a plumbing job call these guys, you will NOT be disappointed.

I called Dan first thing in the morning, he returned my call by mid morning and was installing my hot water heater by mid afternoon. I have been between plumbers for awhile, it's hard to pick the right one. God knows I should have yelped the last crazy, with a capital C guy that I picked! Several calls around, Dan was strait forward and the best price! The work was done within the hour, and the cellar was left neater than when he arrived! I was referred to him by my neighbor, who called everyone in the book last winter when his heat went out. Dan was the only one who returned his call and then came out to see if he could get it going on a Sunday. I am no longer in between plumbers. Dan and his right hand guy Brian are definitely the guys you want to call.

Our outdoor AC unit stopped working early this year so we had been living without AC for the past couple months. Jim was fully booked but he was nice enough to squeeze in an early morning appointment. He came on time and was very courteous and professional through out the process. After opening the panel he found a nest that was built by a chipmunk or some small animal and it had been gnawing on the wires. It was a big mess. He cleaned it up, replaced the parts and all the wires on the unit plus a blown fuse on the furnace and was able to get the AC working. Have to also mention that he was very considerate that he chose to walked around the house every time when he need something from his car instead of cutting through the house. I told him it's OK to cut through but he said he doesn't want to dirty my floor. He even took off his boots when he went in to check my furnace. Overall I am very satisfy with his service. Will definitely keep him on my contractor list.

Overpriced with an attitude. Got a price on a water heater and the bill was much higher/unacceptable.

Had my boiler fail this past weekend and lost my hot water. White's was at the top of the list for manufacturer recommendations. Called and left a voicemail, no response. Called 5 times Monday, no answer and still not return call from my message. Don't hold your breath with these people!

This is my first time using Puleo and they came over gave me an estimate. Scheduled a date. Had to adjust the date by a day. No problem. Their communication was excellent. Their knowledge was excellent. Price was very fair. On top of all that they fixed a complex shower problem and it now works great! Thank you!

Boston Standard has done a fantastic job maintaining a complicated cooling system that has suffered from many problems before we switched over to them. They've also been very fair about the way they bill for their services. Recently they fixed a problem that required three separate visits, but only billed us for one callout because they thought that was the right thing to do. Brandon managed to unclog a stuck valve by cleaning it and allowed us to avoid a $1500 replacement.

FAST, COMPETENT, BUT SUPER EXPENSIVE.
My mistake was that, I had someone call me plumber. The company arrived the same day, right on time. They had a kitchen faucet in stock and provided the estimate. If I had an extra day available I would have paid the service call and looked for another company. Andy was very competent and professional. However the price was more than double what anyone else charges. I have used expensive plumbers before but this one is far and above. When anyone quotes you a flat rate to the job and does not itemize the parts and labor, then brace yourself. The following week, I spoke with Marcy in the office and although she was nice, she explained that is how they provide estimates. No problem, I have learned a hard lesson that if it is not an emergency, shop around.

Lifesaver! Our older Lochinvar boiler was intermittently failing. Would run fine for days then keep needing to be reset. Contacted a bigger plumbing contractor (begins w/ Cr) a few weeks ago because we were desperate to find anyone to come who we hadn't dealt with in the past. They came and did a service on the boiler, which of course was running fine at that time, but then proceeded to go off again 2 days later. They did come back, but at that time it was running fine again (at least they didn't charge us for that visit). So the week before this record cold it really starts cutting out, so I called Lochinvar and their service branch gave me a few local names. By chance I called Russo first and they said they could be here the day after. Woke up to house @ 52 degrees that morning.
Anthony showed up and assured me he would get it fixed, and proceeded to go through with me all the possible issues before replacing the fan unit that was most likely culprit. Couldn't have asked for a more professional and knowledgeable technician. Our only regret was that we hadn't found them earlier. What an immense relief to not have to worry about losing heat on the coldest day of the year!

We have a Mitsubishi ductless AC system which is about 5 years old. The system developed a leak so we called Rodeniser for them to come out and do the inspection. We were told that the charge would be $69.00 for them to come out. When I told them I didn't mind paying the money but what would happens if they can't find the leak. The answer I got was '' if there's a leak we'll find it'' When Their '' tech'' arrived he wasn't really interested to look for a leak and told me that the chemicals used in the coolant caused the copper pipes developed holes and the solution was to replace the copper pipes with the rubber tubing. He proceeded with an estimate of $ 10,000.00 for a job which I declined. ( who wouldn't) I called the Mitsubishi customer service to inquire if there's a possibility of that happened and was told absolutely NOT. So my advice to everyone before you call Rodenhiser for your AC/ plumbing needs find someone else . But I must say he wore a face mask and put the plastic overshoes over his boots not to mark the floor. I guess that's what they charge $69.00 for
