A Friend reccomended I use 128 P+H and I am glad I did!  Outstanding Service.  I couldn't be happier with the job done.   The guy came in to my house with shoe covers on.  Solved problem quickly and showed me how to prevent future problems.  Lowerred my heating bill too.  Very Friendly!

One man even helped me fix my stubborn toilet! I will be a return customer (but hopefully no time soon- even though they gave me a great 10 year warranty!)

i am so impressed with 128 Plumbing.  On Friday, my water heater failed and flooded everywhere.  I was without water and called so many plumbers, who either didn't answer or were not available for days.  I had never heard of 128 Plumbing, but their reviews were really good.   I called them Saturday morning and Jared was at my house in 2 hours.  He restored cold water and determined the water heater was not repairable.  He gave me a fixed price and Gio, another one of the 128 plumbers, arrived early Monday morning to replace not only the water heater but all of the PVC pipes that were no longer to code.  That was also included in the fixed price, which was VERY competitive.  I sent out the contact information for 128 Plumbing to everyone on my email list.  I don't usually write reviews, but this company does quality work for a fair price.  I will also be switching to their HVAC maintenance program because Jared showed me that it is one third the cost of what i have been paying for maintenance with another company for over 10 years.

Wow, after a miscommunication in the beginning, 128 PHC made it right. One of the owners returned to my house and explained in great detail what his company would be accomplishing. I am replacing a 12 yr old Bryant 2 ton a/c and furnace that wasn't installed with the level of precision and attention to detail that 128 PHC is known for.

This a family owned/operated business that was recommended to me by a renowned HVAC engineer in the Back Bay of Boston. The guy installed retrofitted and installer  Tom Brady's heating and cooling in a 12 million dollar brownstone in Boston. This guy is the best of the best.  Needless to say, he did not have time to bother with my small job.
He referred me to 128 PHC without hesitation. He said if he needed work done to his own house, he would call 128. He didn't even ask me to tell 128 that he had referred them.

I will be using 128 for the foreseeable future and several of my neighbors who are in need of an hvac replacement will also be using 128.
These guys are some of the best in the business.
Remember this: THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF AN HVAC REPLACEMENT IS THE INSTALL! I can't stress this enough. You hire a fly by night guy, you will pay dearly as I have learned in the past. You can have the most expensive equipment, if its installed incorrectly it will fail and damage and void the warranty of said expensive equipment.

The level of customer service from 128 PHC is incomparable to anything I've ever witnessed.
Also, they use American Standard/ TRANE(they will install any brand) but Trane/American Standard is the best of the best. They are built in the same factory. Carrier doesn't compare. Thank you Kevin!

Had to find provider to replace my old mini split that was giving me trouble. Called this company and was told that repair man will come over to diagnose the system and that he will come with an expectation to repair it. My response that I actually might prefer to replace, not repair, due to the age of the system did not find any understanding and lady on the other end replied that I have to pay $149 for diagnostic in any case. If that was not enough, she mentioned that if I am going to shop around for price, they are not going to come. Excuse me? Just fyi, 128, thats how things between customer who pays and service provider who gets paid are working.
Oh well, I guess if this company does not want to get my $, I have one less provider to chose from for this and all the future projects.

The electrician quoted me a price that I knew was high. So I asked for an itemized quote and I was told they don't do that.
I wouldn't work with tradespeople who can't justify their price.
The plumber who came from 128 did good work but his price was also high.

Prior to 128 plumbing I had terrible experiences with water leaks. Professionals not being able to find the source of a leak then giving expensive quotes for exploratory fixes. Recently, we had a leak above our shower and called 128 Plumbing. Craig found the source of the leak within 2 hours. The cause was a leaking window above the shower; not even a plumbing problem. I can't thank Craig enough!

If you enjoy being repeatedly robocalled, call 128 Plumbing.  Once they've got your number in their database they will annoy and bother you repeatedly.  Take my advice, just stay away

Schedule an appointment with 128 Plumbing, confirmed again with the them to ensure that they are coming.. I waited, waited . However, they did not come, neither call me in advance. After pass of the scheduled the time,  I called the company to inquire, they just said sorry, they wont come today...I think it is critical to repect others time. Most of time, we take time off from work to wait for the appointment. However, without any sort of notification, just don't show up, I am quite disappointed.

Tried them on 2 occasions at two different properties.

Both times they said the last company that worked at my property did a bad job and they would need to re-do their work.

You call them for one job and they push other work on you. Had them do the work I called them for and they over charged quite a bit.

Way overpriced.  

I say call other companies and get other quotes before using 128

We used this company three times. Once they repaired, but left us with a basement with 2 inches of water. This burned out our boiler and instead of telling us to wait to see if it dried out (which ended up working later) they told us we could only have the job done THAT DAY or it's be 2 days so we better pay the $1200 today to fix it. They COST US $1200 UNNECESSARILY. Second time they sent someone who spent 45 mins at my house and charged $150. For a loose faucet. EASY job. The guy needed one wrench and the actual job took 5 minites. Inappropriate charge and time spent at my house. They fixed it free the second time after it broke 2 weeks later. As they should've.

Third time they fixed a tube that was attached to another - intersected by a water filter. One lead into the next. They fixed only the second tube when the one that lead into it was old and all stretched out. That's what they told us the second time they came. They should've replaced both. We were told by a plumber later that this was like having a flat tire and only fixing the bad one, not checking the other three. The second leak in the tube they shold've proactively fixed burst caused 6 inches of water. We told them we didn't want their help and the oil guy came to fix our burned out oil burner and charged us nothing - not $1200.

Service is poor and they are dishonest.

I had a horrible experience.  My hybrid heater/hot water system was broken.  They said it needed to by replaced completely at cost of $14K.  That's about 3K for the part and $11K for labor.  The job involved a simple swap out with the existing unit.  I can't imagine it would take more than a few hours work.  I called a different HVAC company the next day.  They fixed it quickly for about $400.  Said there was no need for replacement

They said they had no time for an emergency while they were literally 2 feet away doing work for  my neighbor. That it would be 6 weeks b4 anyone could help me.
They showed up 2 days later at another neighbors unit who said they sent a tech immediately after he called -1 day prior. Apparently, tgey don't service everyone, not even referred customers with a bona fide emergency.

We had someone come out to our new townhouse to evaluate our air conditioning system, because no air conditioning was flowing to my wife's office. When he got there, the air conditioning was working in that room for reasons we didn't (then) understand. Nonetheless, the technician told us that we had a leak in our A/C system that would cost $1500 to fix on a short term basis and that likely required a more complete replacement of the system for $15,000.

I found this somewhat suspicious, particularly as the technician seemed to be pressing us to move on it that day and the problem didn't relate to any issue we'd been having with the system. So I called another service (Excel Mechanical) who came two days later. The experience was dramatically better.

First, they were able to find the reason for the air conditioning temporarily not working in my wife's office quickly (it's hooked up to the another thermostat).

Second, they indicated that they saw no reason for a complete repair of the system and that at most we needed a new filter.

Third, and most importantly, they indicated that the prices 128 was citing us for a near-term fix or a complete replacement were double what they typically charged.

I was shocked and appalled. Will not be using 128 again.

I had a great experience with 128.

Had a few HVAC people come in to give me quotes on a ductless system (old house, no ductwork, but I wanted AC and to save money on gas). Of all the people that came through, Greg from 128 was the most professional and knowledgeable.

The actual install was lead by Craig with help from Will. Both were great and really went above-and-beyond to accommodate my requests on placing some units in difficult places. They were professional, personable, and kept me informed throughout the process. I trusted them to do whatever they needed to do in the house, even as I went out to run errands.

On the office end, they were responsive and actually answer emails and phones! This seems like a small thing, but in my experience, a lot of people that do work on houses are not super responsive. 128 was great though. Jean even helped with all the Mass energy efficiency rebates, making it a painless process.

Overall, I'd be glad to recommend 128.

P.S. If you are considering a ductless mini-split, do it!

I am writing a follow up review from my initial review, and i want to say my impression of this company and it's employees has changed for the better. My initial introduction with them came from my doing research to replace 2 heating and hot water systems in  my 2 family. I had contacted several companies for the work, and had done research myself. They were the 2nd to come through, I had a sense of what they were looking to assess, and it went quickly, but I never heard back. At that time I wrote my review. I was contacted the very next day by Ryan, who both apologized and asked about the situation. He tried to recover, but I had already committed my business elsewhere. Ryan continued to stay in touch with me though, on his own. These newer systems require annual service or they deteriorate. I appreciated his follow up, but was keeping with the installer, who I felt did a good job. Well, my installer is a smaller company and has a heavy work load, and Ryan was persistent, so I brought 128 in. All I can say is from scheduling, to service, timeliness, and follow through, they were great. The tech, Norm was professional, courteous, and took the time to explain things. Megan, who answered phones and arranged appointments was pleasant and left a very good impression, and finally, Ryan, a guy I never met, but stayed in touch from a bad experience, and ultimately won my business and left me with a very much improved perception of 128 over all. My take away is that this company is not only capable and knowledgeable, but cares about the customer. I encourage you to contact them for your system needs in your home or business.

After I posted this review, their customer service rep called to get a better sense into my experience. Matt heard my concerns and reassured me that is not how 128 does business and he offered to work with me hopefully change my experience with 128. Matt was thorough, responsive, sympathetic and worked with me to find the right light installation and scheduled a time for installation. Because of Matt's honestly and consumer service, I went forward and committed to using 128 and they did a great job installing the lights!

I had many issues with Leslie when booking the appointment. Almost canceled with the company due to her, but thanks to reading the other reviews I kept the appointment. Frank came to the house and within a short amount of time he figured out the issue, but was through to inspect the rest of our central air unit. He was very polite, apologetic about the dispatcher's manor, and informative about the unit.

Recently moved to the area, and over the weekend a pipe burst in my tankless hot water heater.   I called 128 Plumbing first thing this morning (Tuesday) to schedule a repair, and was told that the very earliest they could possibly come was Thursday, and the person on the phone did not sound sure that would even happen.  I did mention that I have no hot water, so if this is how this company responds to what I would classify as an urgent repair need, I will have to find another plumbing company!

Norm came by to my condo to help with a leaking minI-split unit. He we was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and professional. He kept me updated throughout the day and he went above and beyond to resolve the issues. I couldn't recommend him or 128 PHC enough!

I received plumbing service at my home . After approximately 30 minutes the employee had reported that the job was completed and had cleaned the pipes and claimed to repair the leaking drain. Based on the invoice (over $700) the clearing of the pipes was stated to be warrantied for 30 days. However,  4 days later the drain was leaking and the pipe was again backing up into the utility sink (in the basement).I called 128 Plumbing on the 5th day and was told that no one was available until the following week .  In the interim, I was unable to complete laundry, use my kitchen sick or use my dishwasher.

An employee came out shortly after 3:00pm and quoted (via phone) the service of looking in the pipe with a camera at about $1200. When asked if that would fix the issue, I was informed that that was the cost to see what the problem was, not to clear the pipe. Ultimately, I did not agree to this service as it would not fix the issue. When I returned home that evening, the drain was still leaking and the pipe had not even attempted to be cleared.  Since then, I have had another plumber come to my home and properly snake-out the pipe and I have not encountered an issue since.

I was appalled at the service and the inability of the plumber to resolve the issue, which seemed to be a simple problem of the pipe not being snaked properly (going deep enough) or the leaking drain tightened.

We had a Mitsubishi mini split cooling and heating system installed by 128 Plumbing. It was a fairly big job covering a 2,000 sqf house, requiring about 5 days of work.

We are very happy with the layout/design over a competing proposal from a larger company. We were also very impressed with everyone we worked with from Dave Williams to Jason & team to Zoran and Anthony. The top notch team helped us install an efficient, discrete looking central cooling/heating system in an older house with minimal waste of space.

I highly recommend 128 plumbing for a large heating and cooling project. They are very professional and their prices are fair. In case there is a B Team or C Team at 128 Plumbing, I'd ask for Jason (oversees general installation) and Zoran (duct work) by name.

My hot water heater went down last night so this morning I went to homeadvisor. I have used a lot of contractors over this past year on major home renovation projects. Today they recommended 128 Plumbing for my needs. I must say I could not be happier the woman on the phone was extremely kind and polite. The service was prompt, by 11 o'clock in the morning my hot water heater was fixed. A technician named Frank came out for the service call. He was also extremely polite. Five star service I would recommend them and call them again in a heartbeat.

I have used 128 Plumbing for several years. At first they were fantastic. I used them for heating and cooling. They were efficient, prompt, helpful and did great work. Over the last year and a half, they have gone significantly downhill. Their technicians have made mistakes during servicing, they push sales material, their office staff commits to something and then does not follow through, and different office staff has made repeated calls to me about the same item, like they are not communicating internally. I finally had enough and took my business elsewhere.

I'm a new homeowner and I like to try to do as many small projects around the home as I can. Try to save money and do a lot myself. And the cost of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work has gone up a lot in the past decade. But quality service by dependable people is not always guaranteed. I've had 3 interactions with 128 so far, and am scheduling more for the future. What I can say is that the workmanship, reliability, and my trust in the men that have come to my house and made repairs and upgrades is 100%. I'm reading some of the reviews about people being frustrated with paying for an estimate. That is nuts -  $49 for a thorough estimate by a master tradesman who takes his time and thinks through all possible options is more than reasonable. And I have no commitment to sign and no pressure if I don't like the estimate. I was given a bunch of different options of estimates for the work a couple of weeks ago. Tried to trim a few of the smaller jobs down by taking them on myself first. When I got myself into trouble with a plumbing mishap trying to shave off a few dollars I called them for emergency service. Within a few hours the repair was dealt with elegantly. As a result I signed for the most thorough estimate because I wanted to put my home repairs in this company's hands. I appreciate the customer service, courteousness and small-town feel working with this group and look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.

Very disappointed. They charged me 49 dollars just to show-up and then quoted over $800 for replacing two regular light fixtures. They don't quote a price over the phone and won't give you a free estimate for the job. I got mine done else where the same day for $200. Hope they are more upfront and reasonable with the service they provide.

Another wonderful experience with 128 Plumbing!   Gio was out today to disconnect the gas stove and dishwasher in order for us to have a new floor laid.  He too is very professional and was very quick at getting the job done!   It's always reassuring to see 128 walk through our door.   Great job Gio...we appreciate your fine work!   Thanks for a good job!   We appreciate it!

Always! The 128 provided the extraordinary service to me again!! I recently had the pleasure of having 128 PHCE to fix my heating system, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! From start to finish, the service was nothing short of exceptional. I can confidently say that the staff from 128 PHCE is a true master in their field and highly deserving of a 5-star rating!!

When I called to schedule an appointment, the friendly staff on the phone were able to accommodate my request in a timely manner, ensuring that I wasn't left in the cold for too long. The plumber arrived punctually (and even early than I expected!), fully prepared with all the necessary tools and equipment to tackle the job at hand.

Throughout the repair process, Luis and Mike were highly professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. They took the time to carefully diagnose the issue with my heating system, explaining the problem in layman's terms so that I could understand the situation.

What impressed me the most was the attention to detail and quality workmanship demonstrated by Luis and Mike. They went above and beyond to ensure that the job was done right, leaving no stone unturned in fixing the heating system. The end result was a perfectly functioning system that keeps my home warm and cozy once again!

I don't live in Arlington but go to my daughter & son-in-laws on Monday & Tuesday.  Monday, when I got there the electricity had gone out in the living room and sun room.  After everyone left I started checking for electricians on Yelp & found 128 Pluming & Heating.  I called and within a short time Shawn came, reviewed the issue but I needed to check with my son-in-law via text message because the cost was very PRICEY.  I was unable to reach him so I had no other choice but to have Shawn leave.  Shawn advised that the service charge would be waived if he needed to return.  Long story short..I needed him to return because the issue reoccured.  Work was done and I want to give a shout out to Shawn..he was great & very friendly.  The only issue was when I checked my Visa bill (which was quite high for a 5 minute job) that $49.00 service charge was applied to my Visa.  After I called, Ian assured me that the service charge would be taken off.  I haven't checked my Visa yet but if that charge isn't taken off, I will be revising this review.

We are huge fans of 128. We have a contract for our heating and cooling systems. 128 takes care of our plumbing, too. All communications are professional and knowledgeable. It's super easy to make appointments and all the workman who show up are pleasant, polite and friendly.
Last week, Craig did the plumbing we needed and he was fantastic - worked until everything was in great working order. He went above and beyond.

These guys are incredible. I've been using them for years for my HVAC system and they saved me with a main line back up last year. It was $89 to have them evaluate and no work until I gave them the okay. I like that I know they're close by, I could stop by the office if I ever had to, and they answered my call right away with all my questions and were so pleasant, Thank you to 128!

Their plumber installed the wrong toilet because he didn't understand what I meant by a dual-flush toilet. Then he overcharged me, including charging me for a nonexistent leak. He became threatening when I questioned the charges and would not leave my house without a check for the full amount. I wrote a review here as well as reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau. The general manager responded to my previous one-star review, and we were able to come to an agreement. They have replaced the toilet they installed with the type I wanted at no additional charge to me, and refunded me for the overcharge. I am satisfied with this resolution.

I have contacted this company 4 times in the last 2 days and have received no return contact whatsoever. Now, I realize this is an exceptionally busy time for them - we're going through a terrible cold spell right now - but to simply get no calls back to help me understand whether they can even help me at some point is exceptionally disappointing. I had heard good things about them from a neighbor - so I must offer that in this review - but they're simply not well staffed to handle a huge influx of customer issues, don't return calls, and don't set expectations well. I reached out to ANOTHER COMPANY with wonderful reviews on Yelp and got a call within 15 minutes and their help within an hour.

I've had 128 replace an air conditioning system in August, and now fix my furnace when it failed the week before Christmas.  In both cases they got technicians here for diagnostics and work quickly.  Their technicians have all been professional and knowledgeable, and the work gets done.  Communication from the office is also really great.  I trust their work.

Our sink was leaking and it turned out that a part was improperly installed by the plumber our contractor hired when we had our bathroom redone. Kyle came on time and was efficient, clear with his explanations and very friendly. We've had very good experiences with 128PHCE and will continue to use them for all of our plumbing and heating needs.

We had a plumbing issue in late September, which was fixed by another company, but happened again in October. We called 128 for a 2nd opinion and for help fixing it. They came out the next morning and while they weren't able to fix the issue, they stood behind their guarantee of their work. We only paid the $49 to have the technician come out.

Our furnace started blowing cold air one morning in the middle of winter.  We called 128 Plumbing and they sent someone right over.  They quickly diagnosed the problem and recommended a new furnace since ours was already 25 years old.  Kevin came to the house and gave us a list of options and answered all our questions.  He also told us about rebates available for the high efficiency models and that he would take care of all the paperwork.  We signed a contract and set up a date.  They put us on a priority list and we were called the next morning ahead if our scheduled appointment.  They came and installed a new gas furnace, pipes, thermostats and a circuit board.  We decided to add a heat pump to replace our air conditioner, saving more money for a joint project and qualifying for another rebate.  They came within a week to finish that job which required moving air vents around in the basement and adding a vent outside.  The installation team was fast, efficient and kept us in the loop with the installation process and location of new venting pipes.  The entire company was top notch and I recommend them highly.

Complete rip off and amateur. Took 6 weeks and 8 visits to get our repair complete.

TLDR: Do not use them!

We had a leak in our system. It is a mini split, with two heads inside. They decided we needed to replace the lines so we did. It costs ~$9k. It still didn't work. The tech left without it working saying it was probably too cold for the AC to run. This took two days. They said a 99.9% chance this would fix it.

Called back and got a new tech. He said the system needed to be topped off with coolant. He does and he leaves. He doesn't test the systems one at a time. Now the system only works when both units run.  

Have to call them to come back again. This time he says a part is broken that regulates coolant flow between the two systems. He has to come back and it'll be another $600. Again, 99% chance it'll fix it.

Now, after the repair, it only super cools one room to 60 degrees and the other room gets nothing. We get another tech out. He gives up after 15 minutes and says we need to replace the entire thing. The last tech spent at least 4+ hours trouble shooting, and the new guy can't be bothered to even look.

So thats $6K more for the new system. They install on the Friday before a holiday. And it doesn't work! The installer says this has never happened to him before.

A week later, we get another service tech out. Turns out, they switched the lines! The cooper lines that connect the units to the condenser were switched. The electrical for A was hooked up to the lines for B. We talk ad nauseam with the techs, they explain with them switched, they would both only run if they were both on. Exactly what we say before the first tech installed the replacement part!!! They refuse to admit this was there mistake but continue to explain the exact symptoms if this were to be the case.

Already steered one friend away from installing a 6 room mini split, I hope I can save some of you!
Other minor inconveniences
-Every time we got new people and had to explain the situation because they didn't read their notes
-They threw away our remote for our other AC
-We got a plumbing quote from them. We needed one leaking spigot replaced. They quoted us $1000 and $2000 dollar options for straitening the pipes and replacing some or all the spigots. We opted to not get ripped off and got a $400 repair.

I called this morning because my central air was not working. 128 was able to schedule for a technician to come later to come SAME DAY. Matt arrived and was able to diagnose the problem once I described the problem that had occurred. He fixed the AC in no time at all. He then showed me what had happened and explained ways to possibly avoid it in the future. He was knowledgeable and personable - you don't find that combo everyday. This was not the first time they've sent someone out here who was top notch like Matt. Thank you 128 and thank you Matt!

My water heater and boiler had its annual follow up today. Jose gave me a time estimate the day before then called me today to say he would be here in 10 minutes, which he was. He showed me pictures of what he cleaned. He also looked at a.small.area where I was seeing water on the floor. He showed exactly what was happening with a Crack in my foundation where the water was coming through. This was so helpful. He was on time, friendly and gave me extra information!

Outrageously expensive.  Replaced a Garbage disposal, kitchen faucet which was supplied and a shower valve replacement. $4725.00  If you calculate their labor rates they are over $500.00 an hour.  Unfortunately we had them replace the furnace which is a $12,000 job which we confirmed later.  Their price: $20,000.  Plus they used a Lochinvar Unit which we now understand has had some issues. Navien, Bosch, Viessman or Burnham would have been a better option.  Proceed with caution and get multiple quotes.  We are hoping the work was done properly and the equipment that was installed is top quality.

I was getting a new kitchen floor put in a few months ago and had to have my gas stove turned off while the installation was being completed.  Once my floor was complete and the gas could to be turned back on, i was charged over $500 for 10 minutes of their time, to reconnect the gas stove.  Also, talked into a special incentive that would save me money.  That was also a joke.  I do not recommend 128 as they are very expensive.  They are supposedly a family run business.

The only thing good about this place is a guy named Dom....
Last year I purchased a plan for them to come out once a year to service my tankless water heater.
Called again because we weren't getting hot water to our 2nd shower....1600 dollars later and a hole in my wall because apparently they can cutout a hole to fix something but cant or wont put the hole back together.
I called them a few weeks ago and told them we weren't getting any hot water. They told me due to the extreme rain and flooding they are very busy. I asked them because I paid for yearly service they told me I would be priority. They called back with a 2pm time. I called them back to cancel because my hot water was working ....wierd...and then called them back again because it wasnt working. They came at about 2pm..very unfriendly...and explained we have got water and told a bunch of bs on why we probably weren't getting hot water...They left. 20 minutes later I called them back because....surprise...no hot water...
The guy in the office called the guys who came to my home...and they said we have hot water. I explained ..isn't that a problem...They said they can't fix a problem that doesnt exist and he's not going to keep sending people out when there's no hot water... Then he said he was going to refund me my package... Never have I ever had a company throw me and my business away.
He then told me he was going to call me back....fast forward to 6pm...no call..i called and he told me unfortunately they can't fix the problem...they are going to have to order parts and everything's closed etc etc...I said no...nope...we don't need parts....
We called Charlie. A local plumber and friend of my fiance father....who came over and looked at the hot water heater. I explained to 128 that we called the 800 number on the heater that said service questions they told Charlie to remove this....clean off 3 things...and boom
Hot water. 128 said really? They did this for free? Yes they did. We paid Charlie. And I asked 128 about my refund check which I did receive in the mail 3 days later...tho they should have put it back on my card...
When someone says you need parts after trying to tell you there is no problem to fix...that's an issue.
So....in my opinion...they may be able to snake a toilet and cut holes in your wall...but don't trust them to replace your heater parts without calling the 800 number 1st.

We've been very happy with 128 PHCE and have always had good experiences with everyone from scheduling to the technicians that come to the house. We have a contract for our boiler, but recently had an issue with our washing machine not draining and were concerned about a larger sewage blockage. Although they told me they were totally booked for the next two days, 128 was able to send Charlie and Jeff over the following day. Charlie called in advance to let us know they were on their way and both were very professional and thorough. Highly recommend!

They came out to repair my furnace and central air unit. My technician Matt was very professional and arrived early. He took the time to explain the various things that needed to be repaired. The process was painless and the work that needed to be done only took about 2.5 hrs.

My only complaint is that the company never mentioned a $100 diagnostic fee, only the $49 service call. I'm fine with the fee just be upfront about it when people call.

The company loses a star for failing to mention that, but the technician did a five star job.

When we purchased our first home last summer, we knew that we wanted to convert from oil to gas heating immediately.  128 was the only company in the metro Boston area that would talk to me about the process without having to schedule a quote appointment.  This helpfulness led us back to 128 when we were ready to have the project done.

Everyone that I've encountered at the company is extremely friendly and professional.  We had our conversion financed through the Mass Saves HEAT Loan; 128 was able to help walk us through the process.  By the time the financing was approved (October), the only appointments the company had were in January.  Unfortunately, the existing boiler in the home was already at the end of its life, and was emitting carbon monoxide, so we weren't able to turn our heat on.  When I explained the situation to Katie, she immediately went to work in trying to fit us into their schedule before December.  They stuck to their word and completed the project in mid November in just a few days.    

We know our situation was unique and are so very grateful for all of the hard work that they've done for us.  This is a company that has great integrity and does what they can to help the customer.  We've recommended them to others and will not hesitate to call them in the future.

On March 20, 2018, I had to change my gas meter per National Grid.   National Grid arrived as scheduled to change my gas meter.  After the meter was installed, the meter installer checked over all my other gas equipment to see if there were any leaks.  It was discovered that there was a small gas leak in the pipes of my hot water heater.  This was disturbing since it was early afternoon and a gas leak, no matter how small, needed some attention.  I searched the local telephone book for a plumber.  I made a telephone call to 128 Plumbing and was pleasantly surprised that a repair person was available within an hour.  A repair person arrived within the hour and I presented the issue to him (I believe his name was Joe).  He reviewed the pipes and gave me the price of repair.  The price was not what I was hoping but I needed to be safe.  Joe was very friendly, courteous and funny.  He repaired the pipes in less than a half hour and presented a tablet to me to sign with my finger (wow to technology).  He said an invoice would be sent to me.

I appreciate the speed to which this work was done.  It was done in an efficient manner and I believe it was done correctly.  The only downside to this whole experience was that I had to pay a fee for arrival and diagnosis of the problem.  With other repair companies I have used, this diagnosis fee was included if the repair was done.    That is my only issue, the diagnosis fee.  My experience is a good one except for this fee.

This was the second time 128 helped us. This time Kyle replaced an old toilet in the primary bath. We really appreciate their response time and text updates. The first visit was to replace an old leaky kitchen faucet and fix a shower control. Each time, Kyle explained what he was doing and why. He was neat and cleaned the area before leaving. We have only good things to say about 128.

This company quoted me for a job, ok fine. They said they were going to arrive at 830am and they were banging on my door at 745am. The guy who initially quoted me for the job and who knew what the job entailed was not the one who showed up. It was a different plumber who didn't know what he was doing and was asking me a bunch of questions that I didn't have the answer to. Usually when you schedule a job and put down a $200 deposit, the company sends someone who knows what the job is. I called to ask for an explanation and was told I'd hear back from them today and haven't. I want my deposit back.

We found a keeper! I called 128 on a Tuesday and told them that my central air had stopped working. They dispatched a tech on Wednesday morning, first thing! Scott was polite, funny, and all around good guy. He came, diagnosed, and repaired all under 2 hours (which included the write-up). The only thing that I didn't like was not being able to stay in my nice cool house! :)

I think my husband and I have struck gold seeing that we have found not only and HVAC contractor that we trust and has now worked on our system but 128 is plumbing too! I guess my husband doesn't have any excuses to not complete any of the items on his honey-do list anymore!

Keep up the good work, 128! And if anyone was wondering, I would definitely recommend this company.

My gas heat went out on a weekend.  With Massachusetts February blizzards and frigid cold here, I needed someone to fix it ASAP.  128 Plumbing had a helpful service technician at my place within an hour or so after I called, and the part replaced, furnace tuned, and heat roaring in short order.

Matt was very knowledgeable, courteous, and had all the necessary parts and equipment in his truck.  Where the parts had warped and made replacement a little trickier, he had no problem doing the work.

Given this positive outcome, and compared with past negative experiences with other businesses, I'll definitely be using 128 Plumbing again.

We have used 128 Plumbing and Heating many times.  They have installed a new furnace and a new central A/C unit.  Today we had Matt R. come out for our annual furnace tune up.
Matt has been here several times before and is just one of the most friendly and professional
service persons I have ever met.  I usually feel very uncomfortable have any repair people in the house, but Matt feels like he is someone you have known for a long time right after you meet him.  He remembered our place, the work he had done here and even that I was worried about getting hand prints on doors and walls. He informed me what he was doing every step of the way and was beyond courteous and also offered several hints and tips for saving me money on my gas bill.  I felt 100 percent at ease with Matt and knew he was doing a great job for us. I haven't written a review for anyone in quite some time. But, I feel that I needed to express how impressive and responsive they were. It started with our hybrid hot water heating not working anymore. We called other plumbers in the area before reaching 128 PHCE and the soonest anyone would be available would at least be a few days.

Upon reaching 128 PHCE, I spoke to the most pleasant intake receptionist, Mia. She explained thoroughly what would happen for a consult and what it would cost, even though I didn't quite know how to explain our issue; just that our hot water heater was broken. With her sympathetic and most apologetic voice, she estimated that the next available contractor wouldn't be available until the next day. Fair enough, however she had added us to a cancellation list if in the event anyone no longer needed someone. Surely enough, someone was coming within a couple hours! Mark stopped in and assessed everything that was wrong.

We decided to ditch the hybrid system and go back to the old fashioned. Installation started the next day. Three guys came in and swapped our new tank.  They were all very kind. They took as long as it was needed. Life is good, again. I fully recommend 128 PHCE. Professional. Honest. Caring. Excellent.

They've been great from emergencies, to installs: upgraded electrical and new heater unit (very helpful with navigating mass-save reimbursements) and more. Signed up for the annual maintenance and was happily surprised I didn't actually owe a thing for the service (had paid previously.) The tech doing the maintenance, Mike, was great, and even had helpful tips for things to do to save money and keep things running smoothly.

The guy came to repair AC called RJ.  RJ is very knowledgeable and identified the issue quickly. And fixed the ac in 5 mins. The whole process is really smooth and quick. I called regarding several issues in our new home (plumbing/dishwasher hookup, electrical issue, gas stove hookup). My hope was to have everything looked at with hopefully a fix /recommendation. Maybe I wasn't clear enough when I first called but when the appointment came, it was stated that someone else would have to come to look at the electrical issue. So does that mean I have to pay the mandatory $50 charge again just for having someone else come out? Ok, fine. Next was the dishwasher. It was stated that they probably couldn't do anything with it since the cabinets would need to be cut in order for it to fit inside (there was empty space, just needed a quick trim on the sides). Ok, fine. My last question was regarding a vent pipe that I wanted to potentially have rerouted so it doesn't run through my kitchen. I understand this would be a big job but I got the vibe along the lines of why do that?

He ended up hooking up the gas line to my stove which was only one of the reasons I called 128. All said and done it cost me $247 for a job that literally took 5 minutes. After, it was mentioned that someone from 128 would call me regarding the electrical issue I'm having to schedule another appointment (reminder that I already said I'm having an electrical issue). No one ever called...

The kicker is that I ended up doing the work myself with the help of a friend and we got it all done within half a day. 128, do you not want my money?

I wanted to have someone from 128 come out to do some routine maintenance on my cooling system. I called and they said a tech has to come out even before they'll give you any service pricing information - I get that they might not want to give quotes over the phone, but to refuse to give any sense of general pricing, like hourly labor rate, or charge per pound of freon, or typical cost to recharge or do maintenance on a functioning system... it's a bit of a crazy policy.

Contacted 128PHCE for Mitsubishi annual preventative maintenance. Was impressed by their 3 or 5 year service plans so after initial PM I signed up for 3 years. Service tech was very knowledgeable, polite and professional. He also offered advice on replacement water heater. I hope we won't need much plumbing service but if we do will surely be contacting 128.

Called 128 plumbing for a leaking pipe connected to my furnace. Dan showed up on time and was thorough in his explanation of what he was going to do. He was friendly and efficient. Professional in his demeanor. Most importantly he got the job done without any hassle. I would use 128 plumbing again in the future and I also would recommend Dan to do the work. It's good to know that they still have decent people working that are actually skilled. Who ever hired this guy did a good job!

I scheduled an appointment to get an estimate to install central air condition.  The guy showed up on time and walked through the house.  He did not do a heat/gain calculation as part of the estimate although did ask for square footage of the house, so I suspect they use that instead.

After the walkthrough, he said that he'd email me later that day with an overview of what rebates were available and provide the estimate next week.  

I never received information on the rebates, nor did I ever receive the quote.  A follow up email was returned.  I could probably have called, but I don't want to have to chase a contractor to get their business.  I'll be doing my business elsewhere.

I am never disappointed with the service . The office staff work with me around my nursing schedule to ensure speedy resolution to any problems.
Recently it was the bathroom sink/ pipe leaking . Following expert advice from Charlie , I picked out a new bathroom vanity and sink.
Kyle and Chandler took great care to safely install a new sink/ pipe in an old house with challenging plumbing.
Kyle and Chandler took their time and expertise  to make sure all was in working order esp with holidays upon us , and  anticipated visits from grand kids!

I had a super old water heater that was in a small crawl space above my bathroom (A nightmare for anyone who had to work on it) but 128 Plumber and there team took on the work with no problems at all. They showed up on time and got to work right away. Kyle, Sam, and Steve D did a incredible job getting the old water heater down from the crawl space , no small feat because it was 9 feet in the air, and getting the new one in. They were able to quickly hook up the new one and the electrician came right after them, literal minutes apart to hook up the water leak sensor. My home is an area affected by the Merrimack Valley gas explosions.  I called countless places to inquire about boiler/hot water heater replacement and having heat pumps installed.  This was one of very few places that I was able to schedule an estimate with (most didn't even call back).  I was able to get the heat pumps installed about two weeks after the estimate.  The install took two days and was easy and went smoothly.  Craig and team were super professional, answered all my questions and kept everything spotless.  During the last two months, I have had countless people inside my house (gas company, plumbers, electricians, etc) which can be an uneasy feeling.  Craig and team were great and I felt completely comfortable having them in my house.  They were super polite and treated my house with great respect.  I was able to move back to my home after being in a hotel for 6 weeks.  My only reason for giving 4 stars is the piping for the mini splits that is on the outside of the house.  This was never mentioned to me during the estimate.  I didn't ask, but I think since it is so visible, it should have been mentioned.

Matt was terrific - honest, smart and a great communicator. My AC went on the fritz, and 128 was available within 24 hrs (it was 90degrees... ugh).  He could have upsold me all kinds of stuff, but explained to me that there was a simple fix, and it was done in less than an hour.

Jeremy was prompt, professional and did a great job on a gas dryer installation. While he was here I requested that he also look at an old toilet that was in need of repair. He showed me some great options and he ended up replacing it with a newer model the same day. Overall a great experience and a company that is very easy to work with.

Our sewer line broke and was backing up into our basement. Jeff F, Steve M and Charlie came to jet the drain. They found the problem was more serious and were able to explain all the options we had to fix our issues. Jeff F and Steven M were awesome at explaining everything. I have been using 128 Plumbing (128 PHCE) since 2013.  I still remember when Dave, the owner, used to answer calls.  The company has grown considerably since but the top quality of work, professionalism, and customer service have not changed.  128 Plumbing may be a bit expensive, but they are absolutely worth every penny.  I had a humming AC condenser earlier this week --so bad I received complaints from neighbors.  I had a feeling it was either fan motor fail or capacitor fail.  I called 128 and they were able to send a tech the same day.  Out came Andrew A, and immediately, he made a lasting impression.   He was funny and calmed the situation. He solved the problem immediately, found loose screw on the top.  Andrew then took the time to check everything else with the condenser, and noticed the capacitor was low on the condenser side.  Thus, I told him to replace the capacitor (it was over 11 years old anyways, only a matter of time to fail).  Finally, he used plastic ties to really tighten the top of the condenser.  Many thanks to Andrew A. and the 128 Plumbing team as always.

Not happy.  If they had a 0 star that is what they deserve .  128 did a new heating system install for our home.  We were planning on having them also do an ac condenser install too,  but they did not listen and brought a unit that was much larger than we asked for.  So... we went with another company, in doing so we got a couple of quotes BOTH company's stated that the heating system that 128 installed into our home was too large for our homes needs.  We have a 2 zone system which  128  was definitely aware of.  They installed a system that could have taken care of the entire house.  Now we are stuck with this problem!  Be careful if thinking about hiring them.

My ac went last Friday and I was able to get 128 here on Monday .  They quickly diagnosed my issues and sprung into action to fix what they could and order the fan I needed .  Then they were able to get the parts sooner and fixed it 2 days earlier then scheduled !!!  Everyone I spoke to and interacted with were so professional , kind and clear in the cost and repair .  I am very relieved and happy because it's hot as hell out there !!!

128 Plumbing and Heating recently replaced my boiler and water heater.  The entire process beginning with Kevin patiently talking me through all of my options and answering all of my emails promptly, to the office staff who processed the Mass Save application was seamless.  
The team of Frank and Stephen who did the work was outstanding.  They were punctual, kept me informed on their progress, were extremely neat and did an outstanding job.  They listened to my concerns when I had them and made sure the job was done to my satisfaction.  They were terrific!

Our water heater burst late Friday night and the dealer that installed the system was out of business.  I called 128 Plumbing and got a call back with a commitment to come by around 9 am on Saturday.  They came and installed a new system that same day.  Matt and Nick were particularly responsive, respectful of our property and cleaned up after themselves so that we got some semblance of normalcy back after a very harrowing experience. Overall, an average experience for our heat-pump conversion. Here're the details:

Good:
- Price was average, about in the middle of the bids we got.
- Responsive at the start during the sales cycle. Clear plan of what was going to happen.
- The HVAC guys are good, worked with some difficult spacing in our old house. Clearly explained everything they were doing.
- They did relocate my meter, which was not planned for. Also chased down our flaky town inspectors to get everything signed off.
- Took care of all the Mass Save paperwork.

Not-So-Good:
- Scheduling to get started took some nagging, but it wasn't terrible.
- Electricians seem a bit more disorganized than the HVAC guys. At times it feels like you're working with two different companies. Electricians didn't seem to communicate well between crews. Ghosted me on multiple days.
- The two parts of the air handler that showed were the wrong models and didn't fit together. A couple days delay (no heat) to then find the right parts.
- Lost my $10k deposit bank check. So I had to go back to the bank and get one reissued.

I chatted with them 8am in the morning regarding my furnace's issue, and she said somebody will call me back. After 5 hours nobody called back. The lucky thing is I did wait, I called somebody else at 9am, and they came out to fix the problem around 11am.

Professional and friendly BUT VERY EXPENSIVE.   I read many of their reviews and they also stated they charge a lot.  I had to go to work so someone else could let them in.  Well I was shocked when I saw the bill.   BE AWARE for every little job done there is a flat rate.  To remove existing stop valve and put new one on costs $149.00.  Parts only cost $15.00 this they say is their flat rate.  To remove toilet, and a new wax seal, flange bolts and secure toilet back on was $385 also flat rate.  Clear main line 80ft 384.00 flat rate.  Bill was over 1,000.00 for 2 hrs and 15 min    I also wondered why all the 5 stars - it's because your tech will ask you to write one.

We needed to replace an aging heat pump in our Back Bay condo.  The team at 128 PHCE executed the entire project in a most professional and skilled manner.  This included the initial survey and consultation from Morgan, the bulk of the mechanical installation work by Tommy and Thuy, and the electrical work by two craftsmen who joined in on the second day of the installation.  I am very satisfied with all of their services and with the quality of the Bosch equipment that is now running smoothly.

Long after the Merrimack Valley Gas explosion so many plumbers were not returning calls and even when they did show up were charging $350-$400 an hour.   I first worked with this firm at least 10 years ago for a cracked stack at one of my sellers homes.  This past winter they assisted clients needing a new heating system in Danvers and also came out for emergency service and follow up renovation quote for a Reading client.  I appreciate that they answer the phone, arrive when scheduled, are willing to be flexible to meet (sometimes) tight deadlines and provide great service at honest prices.   Call 128 Plumbing wth confidence for a whole host of homeowners challenges including well water testing and remediation.

Was worried from some other reviews, but they were easy to schedule, showed up on time and the work was good. I'm not sure if they have the lowest prices, but it's better than other folks in town that ghosted me when I contacted them.

I needed my air conditioner evaporator and condenser cleaned out and had no trouble getting that on short notice. I'm pretty sure that the previous owner of my home never had it serviced, so the energy savings alone will cover the cost.

We had a leak coming from our upstairs bathroom into our kitchen.  It was not an easy job and it took an hour for them to figure out where the leak was. Once they figured it out, they were able to fix it quickly.  They told us that there were other parts that would probably go , but not real soon so we were good with that.  Great job on a weird situation.

We purchased a brand new water heater back in 2013 and on August 13th we were without hot water.  They were contacted at 8AM but was told they could not come out that day.  They were quick to sell the water heater but when it came to getting service they were awful.  We anticipated better service because they do the plumbing work for our condominium complex.  

A local plumber came out that same day and installed a brand new water heater.  We will never use 128 Plumbing again and we hope our condominium association ends their relationship with them.  

Let the buyer beware.

Today we had such a wonderful experience with Charlie - we had a flood over the weekend and he came first thing in the morning at 730 and didn't leave until 7 pm - he worked so hard to replace our line and vanity - he diagnosed that we had an issue with water pressure and that our hot water heater needed to be replaced - the company send two trucks for delivery and a second plumber Joe to do the water heater as Charlie worked
to make sure everything else was all set - I have never had such an incredible experience and I feel I am

Timing is everything and what I mean by that is our HVAC system decided that its compressor just wasn't having anything to do with this heat wave. 128 came to the rescue and created a plan with my input taken into consideration. It was a team vibe and I highly appreciated this. Our service professional Luis M was knowledgeable, professional, courteous and simply went above and beyond to make things happen. Central air stopped working in the middle of a heat wave, called at 8pm spoke with Lauren, she troubleshooted a few things that are common to happen, when these things didn't work she set up an appointment for the morning. On a Sunday morning we had water dripping out of our first floor ceiling light. It was coming from the upstairs bathroom. Not having the need for a plumber for many years, I went online to find a Plumbing company that does emergency service. I called 128 plumbing and explained the situation. I was asked if I was a customer of theirs and when I said no, I was told I would be put on an urgent wait list. So much for emergency service. Not good

Originally this was going to be a 5 star review, but 128 got in their own way.

I had substantial work done to replace a broken water heater and replace a busted cast iron drain pipe. Kenny was amazing and came to look at the situation within 1 hour of my call. Chandler and his team were top notch professionals. I was 100% satisfied with their work and professionalism. My only concern was the cost of the work being perhaps higher than necessary, but I was willing to pay extra so that we had hot water and proper sewer drainage.

Fast forward two weeks and my boiler starts leaking. I called 128 because I was so pleased with their work, but they refused to send a technician out for an estimate until my outstanding balance was paid. I explained that I needed to move some money around to cover the significant scope of the prior work, and that I need a few days to make payment. I reiterated that I had no concern paying their $89 estimate fee (which as an aside is ridiculous - who doesn't offer free estimates??), but they still refused to send someone.

I told Karin and Alex on the phone that I understand their need to receive payment, but that these policies communicate that 128 cares more about getting paid than they care about having satisfied repeat customers who have heat in their home. Once I offered to make a partial payment, they agreed to schedule the estimate.

They can say all the right things, but when push comes to shove, they've shown their true colors. I'm very disappointed in 128.

When my husband and I purchased a new home a little over a year ago, we knew we would have to replace the old oil system, which was 30 years old and on its last leg. We knew we wanted to convert from oil to gas, and did extensive research to find the best company to do this big job. We narrowed down our search to 3 companies, and although 128 was not the cheapest quoted, they instilled the most confidence in us to do the conversion. Luckily, it all worked out in the end. Here is a quick recap of what the whole process was like:

Consultation- we mostly spoke with Greg Orphanos, who was a true salesman through and through. We didn't mind so much, however, because he was very knowledgeable. He took his time assessing our home heating system, put together an incredibly clear and thorough proposal, and replied to us faster than anyone else with all of our questions and proposal change requests.

Installation- Gio and Levi were the two main contractors who worked on our installation, although a few other folks showed up throughout the week to assist. Both Gio and Levi were friendly, professional, and good at answering our questions and keeping us updated about the progress of the work. We were originally told the job would take about 4 days, but it ended up taking a full week. Part of the delay was due to the fact that they weren't as comfortable with the heating system we chose (Bosch combi greenstar) and didn't have all of the parts they needed. They usually set-up Navi systems, which they probably do so often they are basically on auto-pilot. We didn't think that system would be right for us, and despite them being a little confused with the one we chose, they did get it fully operational and safe. In addition to the conversion, we had 128 set-up a third heating zone in the basement and add a baseboard in the upstairs bathroom that had no heat. I appreciated that when they came to work each day, they showed up early and on time, worked diligently throughout the day, and left everything clean and tidy.

Troubleshooting- We had a few minor things that needed to be fixed on our new installation after the work was said and done. Getting 128 technicians to assess these problems was easy. They came when they said they would, and fixed the problems at no cost because of the generous parts warranty.

Final Verdict- we haven't had any major problems with our new gas system, the house is warm in the winter, and we have saved a lot of money on our energy bills. We also gained a lot of space in the basement by getting rid of our old furnace and oil tank, and the new heating system set-up is sleek and fits snugly on the wall. We had a great experience with 128, and we'd feel confident recommending them if you are also looking into an oil to gas conversion.

Recently moving into our new home (circa 1962) we have had to do updates to many things and we were unsure of the past service history.  At first we used a plumber that we had prior experience with but later realizing we needed more plumbing work, electrical work and HVAC work and had no one that we had done business with in the past.

We brought in 128 Plumbing for our water heater replacement because of their fast response.  You can get away without hot water for only so long.  Their plumbers were professional, polite and prompt.  They had their electrician come in for the hook up within an hour.  That's when I realized the advantage of one company offering a full range of services.

Since then we have utilized their electrician service to hang a hard to reach light and replace some switches.  He also sold us on a service plan for our Mitsubishi Mini splits, which were serviced today.  The price of the 3 year plan was the same as the 1 year plan offered by our heating company.  James cleaned and serviced all 4 heads and the outside compressor, explaining in detail the service as well as providing tips for more efficient operation.  We are now looking at their offering for servicing our oil boiler.

The plumbing, electrical and HVAC staff have met all our expectations.  They send reminders about scheduled services, notify you of their planned arrival time and show up on time.

What a refreshing experience with a company and one of their team, Frank, who saved my 87 yr old in-laws (in ill health) from a disaster and shoddy workmanship by another HVAC company!!

So, here's the happy ending to what was going very wrong with another HVAC company in Billerica, RH Young Cooling & Heating... Buyer Beware on these uncaring people.

The Story...
I am both saddened and angry to post this frank and candid review of RH Young Cooling & Heating actions and negligence.
Last Friday, the central air in my in-laws home in North Reading stopped working. They are both 87 years old and in very frail health. Mom has dementia and Dad suffers from acute kidney disorder.  My wife and I along with care givers keep them safe in their home.
With that background, we sought out a repair and service contractor that could move quickly. My wife called RH Young from the yellow pages and spoke with Nancy (the owners wife) who took her call and was most pleasant to send out a tech. on an emergency call. He arrived later that day as the indoor temps hit 88, and serviced the 5 ton Carrier by adding a pound of R-22 freon... Was there for 15 minutes and managed to get the unit going. $303.
20 minutes later it failed again. We called back and Nancy said that it most likely needed a new compressor or a whole new unit. R-22 units by EPA mandate are no longer made, so she said they'd look across the US for both parts and units. We dashed out to Walmart at 9:30pm to buy 3 box fans that night to try and cool down the house. It worked a bit.
Next day, I did a little Internet browsing and tried to understand alternatives. Also talked to a distant cousin 100 miles away that does commercial HVAC. I then called Nancy back to share what I found out and see if the had any luck. She needed to talk with husband who thought he might check it out himself unsure if the junior OnCall tech. covered the bases.
Not hearing by 10am the next day, my wife and I called her. She said that they would NOT return to their house as her husband had a bad taste in his mouth that I gathered information trying to educate myself a little. Incredulously, they left us high and dry as we begged them to return and help chronic elderly. Nope.
So, we called 128 Heating and Cooling in Wakefield, MA where we live. They sent a Sr. Tech. out within 2 hours. I meet him. Frank pulled out all his gauges and tools and immediately determined that the previous tech pumped way to much freon in. He purged the unit to the correct settings, replaced the compression fan only, stating that the rest of the unit was fine, compressor and all and had we run the unit with that much Freon, it would have blown up the compressor in short order. He was there for 5 hours, replacing the fan; checking the attic; reducing the freon levels to factory specs and was not leaving until Mom & Dad were safe and cool. All the while shaking his head, at what a quick improper fix had to be undone and stating how it's companies like them that give others a bad name! Thank God we found them.
I'm giving them five stars, as that's as high as it goes. To think they (RH Young) would abandon elderly ill folks. Buyers beware!!

I was not looking forward to replacing the 16 year old heating/ cooling system in my condo: the cost, the inconvenience, the mess. I couldn't have been more wrong with 128 PHCE doing the work. I negotiated a good price and package, including Mass. Save 0% interest loans, with Darren (who was extremely easy and conscientious to work with). The furnace was installed by the team of Ron and Rafael. They were excellent technicians and good, good people. They worked around my needs and got the work done quickly and efficiently with no mess and minimum inconvenience. It was obviously that they loved their work, were good at it, and were going out of their way to make life easy.
In my 3 or 4 years of working with 128 PHCE I have noticed something unusual and remarkable about their employees: they all really enjoy their jobs and each other. There is a level of integrity and collegiality that I have not seen in other service companies. They work together easily, ask each other for advice, and go out of their way to be concerned about the customer. They love their work. For example, Ron noticed a prior installation that was perfectly functional but not well located and ugly; he replaced it in a manner that was easier to deal with and more aesthetically pleasing. And Ron is not unique: Paul, Ari, Chris, Roger, Kris, Craig, Eddy, Austin, and all of the others were pleasures to work with, both as master craftsmen but also as fine human beings.

We recently moved into a home in Wakefield and finally broke down one night and turned on the A/C during the heat wave last week...only to quickly find out that our second floor zone unit was not blowing cold air.  Add this to the list of moving into a new home frustrations.. and to my husband's constant 'did we buy a money pit?' comments.. After a few tears with another issue to address, we pulled ourselves together and took to Yelp.

We found great reviews on Yelp for this local company, and reached out late at night via Yelp messaging (we were desperate!); we immediately heard back first thing in the morning and were assigned a visit that day to determine the issue.  The cost for the initial inspection was quite reasonable compared to some of the other competitors we had also gotten quotes from.. not that we're trying to cut corners, but did you read my comment about the 'money pit.'  We need to save pennies where we can!

Back to our experience with 128.. I think we hit the jackpot with our technician, Matt.  He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and patient.  Matt was completely sensitive to the fact we were pretty bummed out to find out our new house did not have working A/C, and also very aware of the fact we have a 4 month old baby and I am a bit Germ OCD with a no-shoes in the house policy, having no problem wearing shoe covers (and even bringing his own!).

Matt almost immediately identified the issue after walking us through his plan of attack.  Sadly, the part that needed replacement may have been covered under warranty, but the previous owners never registered it.  Matt spent a significant amount of time on the phone with the manufacturer trying to get us some relief on the cost, and also to make sure we know how to register and warranty the new product replacement.

In addition to the repair, Matt did a full tune up on both of our units, and in doing this found another small issue with our wiring that he had the part for and fixed.  He obviously takes incredible pride in his work, and spent a lot of time with us to discuss our unit, how it works, its efficiency, and even offering suggestions on filter placement.  Maybe he realized quickly we had no idea how HVAC systems worked, but we truly appreciated the time he took above and beyond just making the repair, and we both feel much more knowledgeable now about our system, and how to better maintain it to avoid more costly issues in the future.  Many service people just rush in, make the repair, and rush out to the next job.  With Matt, we never felt rushed, and we felt he was more than willing to answer all of our questions (sorry, Matt, some were probably dumb!), and explain the work he was doing in granular detail.  He even offered to be our 'go to' should we have some questions on the system in the future, and I can guarantee we'll take him up on that!

We whole heartedly recommend 128 for all of your heating/cooling needs.. and I would ask for Matt.  But please don't ask too much, as we want to make sure he's always available for our tune-ups!

(Please.. Please.. no more big houses issues).

For several weeks, my Navien tankless water heater was making a horrific banging (almost like a mini explosion sound) every time we turned on our hot water.  I spent days trying to find a certified Navien technician to come do our repairs, to no avail.  I contacted 128 and, while they had to schedule me a week out, they put me on a cancellation list and actually called to do my service several days before I was booked.  And good thing, because the technician who came to evaluate the problem told me that the unit should be condemned and not turned on again!  Turns out there were major issues with the unit AND it was clearly not installed by a Navien certified technician, because there were installation problems that needed to be remedied.

128 came out bright and early the following morning with a new unit and a certified crew to install the new unit and correct the piping/plumbing issues.  The crew was respectful, efficient, and effective -- and clean!  The basement area was absolutely spotless after the repair, everything was well marked, and all of the problem issues were appropriately brought up to code.  The crew checked all of my plumbing after the repair to make sure I was getting hot water in every sink/tub/shower and made sure that the pressure was appropriate (I had a booster that needed some tweaking after the system reset).  

I felt really confident with 128 handling my repair, so confident in fact that I signed up for a service plan with the water heater, which actually has significant discounts/benefits for other repairs and issues that I might need handled.  I would highly recommend 128 for your plumbing needs -- and while I haven't used their other services yet, I was so happy that I will be scheduling an electrical appointment with them soon.

In the wake of the Merrimack Valley gas piping disaster, 128 plumbing and heating came to our rescue!  Ryan, Craig and the rest of the team are the best!  They bypassed our existing forced air system with an electric furnace (not a heat pump)....talk about solutions!!!!!

For those thinking about using this service who have never used it before, save yourself the time and the $49 fee for them to quote the job and look elsewhere.  This is a flat rate company (which they never told me up front) that charges you a fixed amount regardless of the complexity or time it takes to do the job.  On top of it, their rates are absolutely ridiculous!  They basically wanted to charge me $1611 to connect an existing plumbed p-trap to a garbage disposal (that I supplied) and a drying sink.  This is the exact same configuration that I had prior to my kitchen reno.  We're talking about a few PVC fittings and 2-3 hours of work tops.  That's like $500/hr!!  Then of course comes the call to management to try to reduce it and somehow they magically got down to $850-950 to do it.  I still told him to leave and gladly paid the $49 to make him do so.

He ended up arriving 2 hours early from the previous job.  Now I know why.  They probably told him to pound sand as well.  

Anyone who's sat through the Renewal by Andersen scheme would find this familiar.  This company is a bunch of scam artists with their flat rate pricing.  Do yourself a favor and find a plumber that works hourly and gives your their hourly rate up front.  Lesson learned.

The team that replaced a sewer cast iron pipe inside the wall did a fantastic job. Charlie,that priced the job, was very Knowledgeable and answered all my questions.
Kyle T, Chandler, and Steve, arrived on time, and cleaned up great after.

What an experience. House had not one but three blockages. We had floods in the basement, it was nasty.

Charlie came by and cleared the first blockage, not knowing of the other two.

Flooded again and he was back in a flash and took care of the rest of the issue.

He called ahead, was on time, was neat, cleaned up after himself.

He know has a client forever. Really fantastic work.

I can not recommend the company.
I asked them to come out and I had a list of things - loose toilets, lack of house-side main shutoff valve, some insecure piping, one leaking faucet and some other small things. First thing I really disliked - the 128 Plumbing person gave me all of their promotional materials first, even before giving a quote for the work. Second thing I really disliked is the quoted price - $2300 with some change. Fixing 2 loose toilets alone was quoted at $800.
So instead I decided to wait for my regular local plumber to be available and asked him to do the work. He did all for about half the price.
I can't really see why I would ever use 128 plumbing, unless I have to have some work done urgently and I am not the one paying for it.

128 Plumbing is the real deal.  After battling against an old demon oil boiler, who I nicknamed Baal, for too long, my wife and I agreed that it was time to convert from oil to gas.  This is a relatively stressful and financially taxing process.  

I called a couple of companies that seemed OK but weren't able to do an assessment for 3-4 weeks out and I really wanted to be able to have an estimate done during April vacation.  I had one company cancel twice in a row just for the consultation.  Just as I was beginning to feel cursed, I decided to stick to my local 'Wakefieldian' roots and call 128 Plumbing.  Michelle, my very first contact with the company, was amazing.  She was kind, calming and was able to get me a consultation the very next day.  As an aside, Michelle was also amazing during the energy audit and National Grid process, which would have proven very complicated without her expert guidance.  

The consultation itself with Greg and Ryan was low stress, informative, and incredibly professional.  I liked that they listened to my needs and provided me with different solutions at different price points.  Our house is in a state of constant renovation\updating at this point, but Ryan and Greg still wore protective shoe coverings and were so respectful of a house that is still very much a work in progress.  We decided on a solution and started the process towards getting a gas line installed and then the system itself installed.

Fast forward to a few months after National Grid installed the line, and Michelle again saved the day.  There was a bit of chaos surrounding the HEAT loan process (not 128's fault at all) and Michelle tirelessly worked to get me the temporary gas account number so that we could do the loan to order the parts.  I was desperate to get this done before school started in September and I could tell that Michelle was doing everything she could to get the install done before September.

Well, here we are in mid-August and the system is fully installed and ready to be fired up for the first time tomorrow after the meter hanging.  This leads to me my last point:  the installation team.  Izzy, Gio, and Dan were all professional and the hardest workers I have ever seen.  Dan, the electrician, worked efficiently to wire in the new boiler and ensure that all safety measures were wired in for the inspector.  Thank you!  Izzy and Gio were the two that I had the most contact with and I'll honestly miss having them around.  They were absolute perfectionists that delivered an installation beyond what I could have imagined.  They were neat, courteous and answered any question that I had.    It was also nice to meet Dave, the owner of the company, who came by to check in on things.  I felt like a truly valued customer.  
Well, I'm getting beyond 500 words here, but I feel that I just scratched the surface in terms of how awesome this experience was.  I guess if you made it this far, I'd like to end with the highest praise I could give:  I am going to recommend 128 plumbing to all of my friends, family and coworkers for any job.

Thank you so much 128 Plumbing for an absolutely incredible experience.  I look forward to working with you again for other projects, both big and small.

Not good customer service. Took two separate days to have them come fix a simple clog, both times they gave us a time frame and we had to keep calling them to see where the guy was. We ended up canceling them at 530pm on day 2 because they still weren't there, after telling us 45 minutes earlier that it would just be another 10 mins. Poor customer service and no concern for the customer sitting there waiting for them all day.

I called 128 to clean my furnace and the hired them to do some electrical work in my house (added an outlet $ cable feed for a mounted TV, and replaced old ceiling wiring with new boxes and hung a chandelier). They were great. Both of the guys that did the work were very friendly and professional and they did great work. The 128 office was also very responsive. In fact, after the electrician left my house I realized that pieces of the chandelier got scooped up in the trash. I called the office,  they quickly called the driver and he returned within the hour. I feel the cost was maybe a little more expensive than going with a smaller shop ($1600 for the electrical, $285 for the furnace) but I'm fine paying a little more for good work and quality service.

Pretty disappointed to see so many high reviews on this.... Was charged $200 for a guy to come in and check two limit switches with a multimeter (which I did before he came), and come to the conclusion that I needed to spend 10,000 to replace it.... He said he could troubleshoot for an hour but did the troubleshooting in the first 15 minutes.... Then he said he could check to see if Carbon monoxide was mixing with the air going into the house but his $3,000 instrument was in the truck and its too cold to operate... Um, Isn't that why you came?

He basically sat there and asked me what I wanted to know, like he was now a class professor about to teach me his profession saying it takes a lot of schooling to understand....I have an engineering degree, I know learning thermodynamics and simple system troubleshooting was a challenge, the only reason I chose for you to come out is to save myself the trouble of learning a new system myself (which I've perused over the entire electrical schematic, know voltage levels on signal lines and can talk the lingo now) ... I reassure you guys, a furnace is not rocket science.

He came with a cold house, and left a cold house, and all he could say was that I needed a new furnace... for $200... I did end up getting a new furnace, but for A LOT cheaper than his quote of 10,000 which is ridiculous considering that a furnace plus materials cost only 2,000 -- go figure -- id avoid this place, not worth their flat rate, commission based technicians trying to push for expensive repairs. If you have a technical degree, take the time to learn how the system works and replace, its likely much less challenging than your actual occupation!

Craig from 128 Plumbing visited my home this morning for a suspicion of a sewer pipe leak. He used the camera to get into my main drain, did not find any problems, leaks or cracks. He then went above and beyond to try and find where the smell was coming from.. only to find out it was an old lawn mower battery ‍  He googled information to verify this was possible, he was helpful throughout. Left no stone unturned! Craig and 128 plumbing are always quick and responsive! I'm so happy to be working with them for so many years now!

we recently had 128 plumbing and heating repair a very slow draining bathroom sink in our home. It has been an ongoing issue that other companies in the past have tried to fix and charged for an unsuccessful repair. The plumbing technician from 128 plumbing and heating was  Kenney. He arrived on time, was very polite and explained what the problem was. He efficiently fixed the problem other companies could not. We also inquired about improving our hot water system. Kenney  explained to us the benefits of replacing our  present system in a very detailed and professional manner and answered all our questions. He is an asset to the company. My first interaction with 128 Plumbing, Heating & Cooling was when I called on a Friday afternoon to inquire about the cost of having someone come out and put a camera down my sewer pipe. The women I spoke with (whose name I forgot) must have been trying to close up for the day because she was short and obviously trying to get off the phone. Nonetheless, she told me it would be 49$ for the camera and after that the tech will provide a quote on further work that needs to be done. This was by far the best quote I had received and even repeated what she had said to make sure we were both on the same page. She said the same thing again which made me happy and I scheduled an appointment for Monday.  Come Monday, Dan F. showed up. I gave him the run-down of all the issues I've been having with the sewer. He explained everything beautifully and answered my rapid fire questions and then said he was going to give me a quote to put a camera down. So I'm like whaaaat? Dan said that it was $49 for him to come out and that other work gets quoted. He comes back to me with what I think is an outrageous quote (not your fault I know Dan!) of $760 - that's highway robbery! I literally laughed out loud in disbelief at what he just said to me and If I wasn't in such a desperate situation I would have told Dan, helllls no. I know I still chose to go through with it but this was my last resort. 128 plumbing is easily $300 to $500 over the other quotes I had received. And if you say the cliché business answer like well you're getting quality and great service my reply is - I can live without it in order to not spend all that extra money! It's a camera, in a pipe - I'll take looking at a plumber's crack over Dan's smiling face any day if it would save me $500 - just saying!

Aside from all that, this has no reflection on Dan's ability. He was great. Super helpful, kind, and very knowledgeable and that's why I'm giving 4 stars. He explained everything to me and let me watch him do the camera so I could also see what was going on with the sewer pipe. He gave me some advice on my options for the future and prioritized for me what I should fix first. He is definitely an asset to the company.

Things the company should improve on would start with the first phone call. To provide your customers clear answers and information so there is no misunderstanding on the services and their costs is key. Nevertheless, Dan did a fantastic job, thank you.

Expensive! The work was timely and well done. However, after a diagnosis it was determined that the igniter needed replacing. The retail cost of the igniter was $20. Including the cost of the diagnosis ($89), the net bill was $325, in spite of a $39 discount through yelp.

Getting straight to the point, the guys who did the installation were great! The company - its professionalism, its care for their customer, its follow through, IS TERRIBLE!!! I spent over $23,000 to replace my boiler and hot water tank. The installation is fine. Did I overpay, yup. I believe I did. It wasn't about the money as much as it was feeling comfortable and confident I was spending money with a company that I assumed would care about me as a customer. I had made the initial call and had a technician come out within a couple of days. He informed me/showed me that I needed to replace my 7 year old boiler. The next day, I had another person come out. He showed me my options and gave me a quote. I needed to get this done ASAP because of my elderly mother who lives with me and winter was coming. They were willing to accomodate so I decided to proceed. However, 128's wires definitely got crossed because the advisor who quoted 2 days for the job and the installation team said, no way - this is at least a 3 day job (actually took 4). The duration caused them to push the install out to the following week. Installation was done with satisfaction (all though there was a lack of clean up, but no biggie). I got the final invoice and was shocked that it was a basic summary of what took place and a total. Keep in mind, I had a brand new water heater, a new boiler, 5 new pumps, filters, 2 new expansion tanks, etc. None of this was itemized or detailed in the invoice. BUT, payment nevertheless was expected. Then there was the follow up call on the rebate (which I've never heard from them again about). Lastly, during the installation, I asked for a water test. They took the samples, and over 4 months later and SEVERAL calls, I have no clue what happened to that water test, nor do they. You will always get, Let me look into that and I'll get back to you. NO ONE EVER GETS BACK TO YOU. If you are just looking to get the job done and you don't care who does it, go for it - hire 128. If you want to create a relationship with a vendor who will be there when you need them and you feel like they appreciate you and your business, STAY CLEAR of 128!!! I would have gladly spent a couple thousand more to a company who actually followed up and followed through. It's a total shame because I had every intention of having them as my turn-key provider for heating, AC, plumbing, and electrical. Not anymore. Any other companies out there that offer these same services, feel free to let me know and I'll give you my business. Clearly, I'm still in need of a water test and subsequent home water filtration system :)

We needed a yearly maintenance check and our heat balanced. We were able to schedule an appointment for 4 business days after we called.

Our arrival window was between 7:30 and 8:00 am, Matt arrived at 7:40 am. We explained any other issues we had been having. He talked with us about what he was doing and he used his ipad to keep everything organized. (I know some people prefer hard copies of services, but I prefer to have digital copies and I was very impressed with this!)

Matt was here for about an hour and was very efficient. He also wore those booties when he needed to come inside the house from the garage and basement. Something I really appreciate.

The price was fair and the work was excellent, we had been having issues keeping our childs room as warm as the other rooms in the house, instead of suggesting expensive duct work, he gave us a bunch of other things to try first.

Snarky management.  Charged me $941 for Diagnosis, expansion tank replacement, Boiler SafetyValve replacement Draining the heating system.

I had thought that this (or some of this)  was covered in the 3 year contract that they sold me for $397. Called and explained my disagreement.  They weren't interested. Cancelled the contract.  They kept the $941.

You might want to ask them to explain in plain English what their contract covers.

Really disappointed with 128. We were looking to have a central ac system installed in our home so we requested 128 to come out to give us a quote. The gentlemen that came out was rich, project manager. Rich was very friendly and was very knowledgable. He even put things over his boots to not leave dirt behind. We got quotes from 3 other companies and I felt comfortable with rich right away and was going to use their company to do our install. Rich said we would get the proposal within 48 hours. 4 days went by so I emailed him back. He said he was waiting on a response from the manufacturer regarding our evaporator coil and when he heard back he would get back to me. I waited another 4 days and said he had just heard back and the proposal should be sent over shortly; that response was on 4/1/16. Fast forward to today, 4/27/16, I still have not even got the proposal. I got sick of waiting and chasing someone for a mere proposal when I was ready to do the job right away. We decided to get another quote from someone else in Burlington who was awesome, project is starting next Wednesday. Crazy considering I was looking to do $5000 job.

These guys are awesome.  Just wanted to put that out there.  I first called 128 because of a radiator leak.  They arrived when they said they would.  He  went through what the problem was and what had to be done.  It was a bit pricey but worth it.  I have  called them several times since that job. There is someone always available.  They don't keep you waiting and they always do an excellent job. I  highly recommend them for all of your plumbing issues.

Dom was an excellent technician and diagnosed and fixed two leaking toilets.  My issue with 128 is what I consider to be extremely high pricing.  The total job was less than four hours and the price was $1,823.  Parts were likely less than $50.

Had a emergency carbon monoxide issue at my condo,128 came and said that a cleaning of the furnace would solve the issue. Was quoted $364 for a cleaning although the rate was outrageous but I approved the work due to the urgency.Was then contacted that a additional $800 of work is required.

I then sent my own plumber to complete the additional repairs because the rate was way to high. The cleaning was never done by 128 although they requested payment.The additional work for $800  was also not required or needed.

The whole job was completed for $150 by my plumber.

This company tried to take advantage of a emergency situation  and rip me off. Avoid at all costs.

You are correct I was not on the property I was in Ct. I got a call from the plumber on site (jim?) and was told about the repairs I allegedly needed $364 cleaning and $800 tank. My own plumber contacted me telling me that no cleaning was done. On my way home from CT. Jim called 3 times requesting my credit card info for payment for the cleaning that he said he completed ,then the office called me twice asking for payment of $364 for work that was never done.  

The fire department was call because carbon monoxide was detected and we were told to have the units serviced or cleaned. 128 said they cleaned the unit and was going to leave the unit unsafe and putting the people in the unit at harms way.

This is just further proves 128 pluming is not trust worthy . They took advantage of an emergency situation and a absentee owner.

STAY AWAY!!! TOTAL RIP OFF!!!

The sump pump under our condo driveways failed after 8 years and we called 128 to check it out. Super service. They determined the original pump had become disconnected to outflow and burned out after running all the time. Order replacement pump to match original, replace and ensured new pump was working and installed correctly. Meticulous work - cannot say enough abut Charlie C. sewer and drain technician and supervisor. Very knowledgeable. Will turn to this company for other needs in future.

We had a persistent backup in our kitchen sink which was not able to be corrected with any of the home remedies like baking soda, boiling water, plunger, plumbing snake etc..  After several days of trying to fix it myself, I called 128 and they came out to take a look next day.  They provided good insight about where the problem was likely occurring and gave me an accurate estimate of what was required for a permanent fix.  The team returned the next day, installed a much needed clean out, removed all of the blockage and its been flowing great.  

We also had a plumbing issue requiring new a new shut off valve and removal of an old basement water pump.  I asked if it could be addressed with the same visit and again they provided an accurate estimate and that was also done in the same day.

The team was personable, professional and fixed both issues very quickly.  Thanks to Charlie, Jeff, Chad and Richie for a job well done.

I just want to say upfront that 128 Plumbing, Heating & Cooling did an excellent job installing both the heating and AC unit in the house! Very pleased with their professionalism and efficiency and so I purchased a 3-year service plan from them  to service my central HVAC.  This is where things fell apart for me. This service was supposed to include new filters changed twice per year, however the filters where never changed.  The fall service was recently done and within 48 hours the HVAC system stopped working.  They sent someone out to service, who got the system up and running.  The service agent demanded an on the spot charge of $321.51 to replace an air pump. However, when I called 128 plumbing earlier that day to notify them of this problem they did not mention any charge. In addition, the HVAC system is only 2 years old and still covered under warranty, so I should not have been charged for this part. Multiple calls were made to rectify this situation, but nothing was ever done to mitigate the scenario.  After 2 weeks of warm weather I turned the thermostat up again and the system would not turn on at all.  The main controller board that connects directly to the thermostats looked to be operating properly, but the system still did not work.  After a lot of research with the manufacture of the HVAC and discussions with experts we found that a 'ATO / ATC 5 Amp Fuse' was placed in between the 'door safety switch' (in place of the 'door safety switch') connecting the power to the system.  The fuse overloaded causing the system to power down.  After reconnecting the wires correctly to the 'door safety switch' the unit continues to work fine. While this could have been an honest mistake I should not have been charged the $321.51 and should not have taken so much effort to resolve. In the end, the management refunded all my money which is a fitting outcome for a painful process.

We have a heat pump that hasn't run AC for more than a year. Twice we've had other companies come look at the pump and they were unable to diagnose the problem. The last company I worked with suggested a new unit at a cost of thousands of dollars. Thousands. So we went without AC last summer.
This year, I called 128 and amazingly, in twenty minutes or less they had diagnosed the problem and repaired the heat pump. Now we have AC and the cost of repair was minimal. Truly a great experience and a reminder how important it is to have good people. 128 is now my go to place for our HVAC repair.

I had 128 install a tankless water heater at my income property. The got it scheduled in quick time. Gio & Steven did a great install of a Navien tankless on demand water heater. They built an awesome frame to mount unit, ran new gas line, water lines, new venting and electricity (Eddie from electrician team) to the unit. Great crew all around. Explained everything very well. I love the quality and professionalism of 128. I highly recommend them.

I wanted to install an air conditioner in my basement.  I spoke with other companies and 128 Plumbing.  The proposal from 128 account manager Greg was reasonable and thorough and he informed me about Mass Save savings options.  There were some communication and follow through issues with the office that the company could tweak to improve the customer experience prior to and on installation day.  On the day of the installation, Luis and John came to my house - Luis was in charge of installing the air conditioning unit.  He is a great ambassador for 128 Plumbing.  He answered all my questions and explained everything he and John would be doing at the start of and throughout the job.  Where he didn't have an answer (for example, where the electrician for the job was-there are two - according to Greg one was sick and the other was working on the South Shore), Luis sought the answer for me.  He worked very hard to make my experience positive.  Luis and John completed their part of the job in one day and cleaned up all the areas that they worked in (extremely neat which gets extra points from me).

The electrician - Nick - came to my house on a Saturday to complete the job.  I was told by the office the job would take about 2 hours and it did.  While Luis explained the remote and how to use the AC, Nick answered my questions and told me about some features I didn't know my new AC had which was helpful.  He was professional and efficient and completed the job in the two hours!  I did express concern that a permit wasn't pulled before the job started and Nick told me that there was a 48 hour window to pull the permit for electrical in MA so this review is to be continued.....I am taking a day off next week to have the electrical inspector come review the job.

These guys are knowledgeable and fair.  What I like the best is they treated my home like their own.  They walked me through the new boiler installation along with placement options.  They didn't take the easy installation option, which would have left me with less useable space.  Instead working with me to find a solution that worked for how I use the area.  Pricing was fair based on what I've heard from others.  They also showed up when they said they would and worked while here.  Tough to go wrong hiring 128.

Had a wonderful experience with everyone connected to 128! Especially Jared D. and Sean L. who stayed late to install our water heater, and Frank, Mike, Evan, and crew who absolutely went above and beyond to install our new heat pump. They patiently answered all our questions, gave helpful tips, were kind, friendly, respectful and super hard-working, leaving the workspace spotless!! They checked in on details such as where aesthetically I would prefer certain elements to go, and took great care with the work and the space. Frank especially went above and beyond in many ways, including catching a fire hazard related to our dryer which we are so grateful for, and using creative thinking and skill to solve a problem with filter access. I can't say enough good things about the whole team at 128, all of whom very clearly take pride in their work and in their customers' experience from start to finish!

I have used 128 Plumbing, Heating, Cooling for both electrical and plumbing. We had Craig T come to install our new Toto toilet. He was great! It appears to me this company hires very professional and polite employees and it shows in their quality work.

Matt provided us with an absolutely world-class plumbing experience. He was exceptionally professional, knowledgeable and efficient. We had multiple projects, ranging from reconnecting toilets to installing new shower and sink fixtures. Matt took the time to point out potential issues and provide us with economical solutions. He completed all of the various projects in one day. We now have the comfort of knowing that all of our plumbing problems are completely resolved. I highly recommend Matt and 128 Plumbing!

I've had 128 Heating for 3 years now. They are knowledgeable, professional and reasonably priced. I have had A/C checks, I used them for electrical. They came out the day I called and needed tech asap same for a heating issue I had. I tech Jose today was great. I highly recommend them.

We love 128 Plumbing! From the start to finish, everyone we dealt with was friendly, reliable, and knowledgeable in whatever they were doing for us. We had 5 ductless mini-split wall air conditioning units installed on 2 floors, replaced our old gas boiler, upgraded our electrical panel to handle all the new AC units, and installed 3 new wi-fi thermostats. It was a very large (and expensive!) job, and we got 4 other quotes and 128, while not the cheapest option, offered the best solution for the placement of the wall units and also had the best reviews so we went with them and were not disappointed. Everyone we dealt with, from sales person (Rich), the office (Michelle and Katy), and the various workers (especially Nick the electrician, there were many others I don't have all their names) we had in and out of the house were great. The workers were always sure to clean up after themselves really well and everyone was so knowledgeable in their trade. After it was all done, Katy filled out all my rebate paperwork so I didn't have to do anything at all which was such a pleasant surprise because I was not looking forward to filling out the various forms. We highly recommend using 128 and will be using them in the future when we need it.

My gas boiler shut down late on a Sunday night and we lost heat in my unit. 128 was very quick to respond and made time to stop by my apartment within the hour. Ryan and Keith were extremely professional and responsive. Highly recommended service to anyone who needs a fast, trustworthy service.
