Drew Donarumo Plumbing and Heating

Requested to have a faucet replaced and leak under bathroom sink fixed. I supplied the faucet because I was remodeling and switched from stainless to brushed nickel. They came in and were done in 15 mins. Leak was fixed but a week later I noticed the drain did not match the faucet and it was still the old stainless drain. I asked if they could come replace the drain and was told that they threw away the box with the drain in it!  Then I was told to replace the drain that's another $180 on top of the $200 to replace the faucet. I don't mind paying the money but I would have expected the job be completed. Also if you're not going to use all of the products the customer supplies you should atleast return them and explain the drain doesn't include the faucet replacement! Now the drain lever isn't working and the drain doesn't stay closed. Now to find another plumber to fix this job.

This company is stellar!!!!! Drew came by and looked at my project the same day I called and was able to send someone the same day to fix my water heater.  I am so grateful because I had cancelled three plumbers prior who waited till the negotiated day of installation to change the previous quoted price. I was at my wits end. Drew was fair. His son who did the work, did it in less than an hour.  They cleaned up after themselves, explained how the system worked, removed the old hot water heater and even helped with cutting up the cardboard so I could discard it with the recycling.  These guys are awesome!!!

So pleased with how quickly they were able to get to us. We had a gas leak from the stove and they were here with in half an hour and fixed it right up quickly. Definitely nice to have a piece of mind.

We called Drew to fix a leak in our bathtub which was costing us so much money in our water bill!  They were professional and were able to fix the leak in an hour, even after having to travel to two different locations to purchase the parts necessary to address the problem.   I will not hesitate to contact this company for any future plumbing/heating needs!

Drew and his team are outstanding to work with! If you need any heating or plumbing work done you must hire them. I usually don't write reviews but felt compelled based on our wonderful experience.

We own an 1800s house that had not been updated in 50+ years and Drew updated all of our plumbing and heating systems and fixtures. They have a wonderful and rare these days CAN DO attitude and with all the problems of an old house they never left me feeling like I was on my own to figure it out.

The work was done quickly and with the same care as if they were doing their own house. They were friendly and professional. I mean really I can't say enough good things about them!

I'm not a person who ever writes reviews about anyone trying to run a business, but this time is an exception. Don't ever hire this guy to work on your plumbing needs. He came recommended by a neighbor so that neighbor called him to tell him I had a water tank leak. Without even coming out to look at it  he gives the guy a quote over the phone, 1st red flag. So the guy sends out 2 guys several days later with new tank on truck, (I never authorized the work). I tell his worker to call his boss to give me a solid quote, he's now at $300 more than original quote Without even seeing the job. I spoke with him and convinced him to lower price to the first one. Workers replace tank with new (which was under warranty). They left 3 hours after but had to call an electrician who spent one hour connecting thermostat to hot water system. Gave his worker $2200 in cash for labor. Later on, I notice water on floor near tank, along with poor water pressure from faucets. Called him back and his response was curt, said he would send someone out next day. Worker shows up and repairs water leak. Then proceeded to flush the faucets. Tells me I need an aerator for the bathroom sink, goes out to his truck and drives away. Call him again and leave message, he text me back with a response all done there. Finally I get a hold of him and he said he would send someone. 2 days later, young guy shows up, removes bath sink faucet, inspected the situation and tells me I need to replace the faucet and leaves. In the end, I call in 2 more different plumbers to inspect the work and to get a separate opinion. Both plumbers told me the mixing valve in faucet was bad and should be replaced. But then I was floored when both plumbers told me Mr. Donarumo over charged me more than $1000. And these guys had never met me before. So be very aware if you hire this guy.

When my upstairs kitchen sink started backing up in my downstairs kitchen sink I thought I could unclog it myself.  I poured some heavy duty industrial drain cleaner in there I plunged it out and let it sit all day and nothing worked.  So I tried taking the pipes underneath the sink apart to drain the standing water out and lo and behold it broke.  I was given the name of Donarumo from a drain company that I've used in the past who could not help me because plumbing pipes were broken.  I called spoke to a Matt, sent him pictures of what was broken he got back to me in a very short amount of time with a quote he said he could have someone come out that night but we opted for the next day because it was not an emergency.  The two plumbers that came out to the house were knowledgeable, polite and cleaned everything up when they were done.  They repaired the pipe that I broke, they reinforced another pipe that did not have any type of hanger so the pipe itself was just dangling. And they cleared the drain in no time.  And best of all the price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend this company to anybody looking for fast reliable service.

The service was fantastic.  Quick, efficient and in and out in under 15 minutes.  I had some tank gaskets that needed to be replaced in my 3rd floor toilet that was leaking down to the 2nd floor.  I would have done this myself, except I didn't possibly think the gaskets could go bad on a 1 year old toilet!  So I thought something else was wrong.

Two guys came, looked at it, drained the tank, placed in the new gaskets, tested for leaks and left.  I later got the invoice... $325!!!  Wow.  parts could not cost more than $15.  That would mean labor per hour per person is about $600 per hour.

I should have become a plumber.  Why did I go to college?

WOW! Super quick response and same day service. Second time our family members have used this company and will continue to do so. One large job and one smaller. Really friendly, efficient, reasonable, left area super clean! Very satisfied we picked them. Highly recommended.  Well done!

Downsized to East Boston and inherited a toilet that wouldn't stop running. Neighbors recommended Donarumo, and were they ever right! Matt responded to a phone inquiry very quickly, and had me take a couple of pictures so he could bring the right part. Showed up as promised and fixed the problem immediately!

Even though we're fully vaccinated her, Matt showed up with a mask on, so his concern was appreciated. In addition, invoicing and payment are all paperless/online, which is just so much more efficient. They're now my go-to plumbers!

I had these guys out to install our new hot water heater. They were quick and efficient in getting the new unit in and hauling off the old one. They did some new piping work given the height difference of the new heater and did a great job.

Matt was very knowledgeable with all of my questions and extremely transparent with the additional costs for piping that would need to be done before he even arrived. Highly recommend these guys for any residential plumbing work.

Blown away by Drew and his team's outstanding service. I called on Tuesday afternoon and they came out first thing on Wednesday morning. I know they must have had other customers and I was so thankful that Drew made my needs such a priority regardless of that. Drew came himself first thing in the morning, evaluated the problem, and had two plumbers out due to the need of additional equipment within a couple of hours. His guys not only worked fast, but they were extremely friendly and professional. I thought I was going to find a mess in my basement when they were done, and the area they worked on was clean and my pipe was no longer leaking. I think I found myself a permanent plumber! Essential when you have an old house that needs lots of fixing. Call these guys for your plumbing needs. You won't regret it!

When our heat went out and I called our usual plumber, I was met with a rude reply because it was a weekend. I then went to Yelp to find someone that could come out and Matt called me back right away. He was extremely helpful and kind and explained that while he could come out, it sounded like it was an issue that couldn't be resolved on the weekend because of the specialized part, and he didn't want to have to charge me a very expensive fee. He then offered to come out first thing Monday morning. When I texted him back about another issue with my tenant's system, he said he could also check that out no problem.

Monday morning came and I received a text that he would be here in 15 minutes and he was. Super polite and clean, he was able to fix our problem in a few hours and then also pointed out a few things he could fix for us when we were ready. He also had his team come back the next day to fix my tenant's system.

Fabulous work and wonderful service. He's my new plumber! Can't recommend him enough.

The best!  I called for a non emergency, lack of water pressure in my shower.  Drew called me back within 10 minutes and Juan was here within 45 minutes.  Solved the issue and gave me some great tips as well.  Could not be happier!

I'm a recent first time home owner and new to all things plumbing. I needed to replace my kitchen faucet, and Matt came to my rescue. I'm blown away by the prompt response, professionalism, and overall friendly servicing he provided me. He completed the job quickly and even offered to help me with removing some handles on my cabinets. I'm beyond impressed and grateful for his help. We had Matt Donarumo over to replace a valve on our furnance.  Matt did the job which entailed draining the heating system, cutting the pipe, replacing the valve, soldering the connections, and bringing the water level back to normal.  The job was completed quickly, the new valve works perfectly, and our heating works better.

I received more valve than I paid for.  I received instant contact when I reported the problem.  Updates regarding when the service would be completed.  Matt is meticulous.  He always leaves the area he works in cleaner than before.  Donaurumo Plumbing is the most professional, responsive, and customer focused company I have ever dealt with.  We are repeat customers.

BEWARE! These guys will scam you. I am a property manager and use dozens of plumbers, electricians, contractors every year. There are many perfectly honest plumbers here on yelp. Called Drew because I was in a pinch and I had never used them before. He put me in touch with his clearly inexperienced son Matt. Explained to them both my heating system needed the transformer replaced and I already had a plumber look at it. Matt assured me that he would get my heating system running and was quick to fit me in his schedule the very next day. All seemed a little too good to be true and I found out that it actually was just after they arrived. They tinkered with my boiler for no more than 5 minutes checking to see if all the components worked and finally turned to the transformer after I asked if they were going to replace it. Dodged the question for a bit, took out some electrical circuit testers, almost electrocuted themselves, started a small fire, and concluded the transformer needed to be replaced (I had already told them it did many times!). They THEN informed me that they do not have a license to preform electrical work, cornered me in the basement and demanded that I pay their $185 service fee or they wouldn't leave. They generously offered me a discount to $125 and sent me a phony receipt that didn't even have the amount paid on it. I have seen this before. It is a very nasty way to scam grandmas and desperate people who need to get their heat working in the winter. DO NOT TRUST THEM. This is criminal, I almost called the police.

I've been a customer of Donarumo Plumbing for several years. They are reliable, their work is consistently good - and they're really nice! If it's a small job they are often able to show up the same day; for bigger things it's usually no more than a few days.
