I called Paul at 5 p.m. on a week day asking if he could help me mount my new 55 inch tv and he was able to come that same day to help me out. He was a really nice guy who was able to mount our tv within a half hour and then also helped my roommate mount his tv in his bedroom.
Paul was reasonably priced, especially compared to Best Buy Geek Squad and stuff like that, and was exactly what I needed to really make the tv's look terrific. I would recommend Paul to anyone looking for a handyman and will definitely keep him in mind for any other tasks I might need accomplished

Paul is an exemplary handyman. Paul was easy to schedule and did a spectacular job fixing several lingering issues in our home (i.e., doors that had trouble locking, leaky faucets, sinks that wouldn't drain properly). He was also methodic in diagnosing the underlying cause of all these issues. For example, there were several doorknobs we expected having to replace entirely, but Paul was able to figure out that the main issues was a misalignment between the bolt and bolt hole (saved us having to buy several new sets of doorknobs!).

Paul was also generally pleasant to be around and it was easy to communicate with him. When I mentioned a couple other things around the house that needed work , Paul was happy to address these issues.

I've attempted to work with other handymen in the past and was extremely disappointed with those experiences (e.g., unclear pricing policies, failure to respond in a timely manner / at all). Given these previous experiences, I could not be happier that I found Paul's handyman service. He has my strongest recommendation, and I will certainly contact him again for future projects.

I called Paul on a Saturday, and he returned my call within a few hours from a music festival I think... so he's easy to be in touch with. We have a rental condo in a 2 family, our unit and the other unit ,which is also rented out, needed some work (caulking, water damage repair) in the bathrooms. It was a bit annoying for me to coordinate because I had to deal with the owner of the other place that does not live nearby, and coordinate with my tenants and their tenants. Paul was super patient and easy to schedule (though he did have to reschedule the first time, but it was no big deal). I ended up not meeting him, but according to the tenants he arrived on time. He did the work and sent us a very detailed email about what he did, and any potential problems to look for. His prices were very reasonable, as well. He is definitely our future go-to handyman for anything that comes up in our rental property or primary residence.

I had botched a home project pretty bad and needed a professional to come help. Paul was extremely responsive and punctual. He did a very quality job for a fair price as originally quoted. Will definitely be leveraging his services again!

Found Paul's info online and called him in to change some locks and fix a broken sink stopper. He was able to come to property the same day within 2 hours and did an excellent job. Also a nice guy, gave me a ride back to work, and has interesting conversation stories.

Highly recommend! Fantastic communication and response time, was able to make the repair (storm door) same day for a very fair price and was upfront with pricing from the start. Great experience.  I would absolutely hire Paul again!

Great response time, quick fixes to the problems.  Did a couple of last minute things that I had not scheduled.  He is a great guy and very efficient.  Prices on the mark.

We needed some help getting our new window A/C units installed. Paul was great to work with. He responded quickly, gave a price quote upfront, showed up when he said he would, worked quickly and did a great job. Can't beat that!

What you need to know about Paul G. approach to scheduling:

You know? The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Why didn't you squeak? Surely you understand people in my line of work are in demand, and the person who communicates repeatedly is more likely to get service.

In my opinion this is unprofessional.

I have received 3 emails total from Paul G. concerning my review. Two yesterday and one today. It is despite him writing here that he has no record of our communication.

When I saw he'd sent the first two emails I thought he'll say something like: Sorry this happened. This is not representative of me. I'm proud of the work I do. Do you still have jobs? Maybe we'll schedule, see my work, and you change your mind. I don't have jobs, but I would have thought he is a reasonable guy and would have updated the review and changed the rating to 4.

Instead I got angry emails You wrote the review on Yelp?, full of capital letters, blaming me for not being proactive enough, not calling him with I really need your help, saying that other people love his work and my review brings his average down, that my review is unfair, and that I didn't put enough efforts to communicate with him and instead complained to the whole world.

I politely said that I followed all the instructions he gave me for scheduling with him, and than this review correctly describes my experience.

Got another long angry email today. Again putting all blame on me. And requesting me to remove the review. Here is a part of it:
I don't like that you passively waited, took no action, and then chose to tell the world about it via Yelp, making me look bad (a little bit) and bringing my average down.
I'd appreciate it if you removed your review.

This exchange is unprofessional. I'm glad I have never given him my phone number.

This is a 2.5 stars review.

Paul responded to my call within 10 minutes and was at my house within 20. He did the job fast and well (replacing three old smoke detectors). He is pleasant and polite and reasonably priced.  Sorry to have found him just as I'm moving away from the area!

We had Paul help us with getting a rental unit we own into better condition.  He came to the house (on Father's Day!) and reconnected the hanging gutters to the house.  He then painted the bathroom wall and regrouted the bathroom tiles and bathroom sink, so that the whole room was far more presentable and inviting.  He also regrouted around the kitchen sink.  The apartment also has old-fashioned windows with rope weights in the sides.  Paul re-roped them so that they work perfectly.  

We would recommend Paul without reservation.  He was fair and honest, did the work he committed to, and all of the work he completed was excellent. We will keep his number handy and call him any time we need any work done in Arlington!

He left this long winded message on his cell phone telling you that he needs this and that before he can get back to you.  I made a detailed list of all the work needed to be done.  Then he doesn't get back to you.  I'm a bit older so it is amazing to me that people can manage to stay in business.

I hired Paul to install some recess lighting in my apartment. Paul did a awesome job and completed the job fast. We had to reschedule a few times because of the massive snow storms we got recently, but Paul was always sure to call me and let me know if he would be late or couldn't come do to the snow. I would definitely recommend Paul for handyman services

My husband Rob found Paul on yelp and was very impressed with Paul's work. He is very responsive, organized and helpful. We got a list of things that needed to be done and arranged a date for him to come. He came and fixed everything with very reasonable cost. We loved working with Paul. Will def call him again in the future. Highly recommend!

I used Paul on numerous occasions to help with various things for my bosses son's apartment in Cambridge. Paul is great trying to fit you in his schedule. Whatever we needed help with he got it done. Whether it was putting a complex desk together with a million pieces, installing a bidet toilet seat (lol) and even shaving the bottom of a door so a rug could fit underneath the bedroom door when it's closed (thanks to his carpentry skills). He's also funny, in good spirits (while listening to his music while he works) and pleasant to work with. I would definitely recommend him!

After speaking with Paul, I would like to update my review.  He called me last night and took the time to explain the intent behind his comment - that he was encouraging me to use my brain to take a look at the situation to recognize that what I bought wouldn't fit well - but he also acknowledged and apologized for the impact. I truly believe and accept his apology. We had a great conversation and found common ground, and I said that things he sees as second nature and common sense, may not be obvious to someone without his affinity for such things. He took this point very well, and I think will keep it in mind going forward.  

(As an aside, he was doing work in my house while I went to the hardware store in an effort to save me money vs paying for the time it would take for him to do both.)

I chose to update this Yelp review of my own accord, after speaking with Paul and hearing and truly believing his apology.

I had a  small job install job that requires minor carpentry work--installing new sliders for a bathroom vanity.  Paul did a great job communicating with me about the scope of the work and telling me upfront that his colleague Gary work be doing the work. Gary was great. He arrived on time and got right to work. He quickly understood the job and proceeded without oversight  When he discovered an obstacle, he explained his ideas to me before proceeding.  When he finished, he cleaned up the work area and left us with a renewed vanity. Great job. Highly recommend Paul and Gary.

I called Paul because he had great reviews and was local...he was able to adjust his schedule to fit me in, as I had a leak that I wanted fixed as soon as possible.  I also had some jobs that have been lingering, and he finished them all in a few hours ! He replaced a garbage disposal, fixed an electrical outlet, hung a light, and, very much appreciated on this 90 degree day, he installed my new air conditioner.  Paul offered amazing service, is very friendly and we had some great conversations while he worked.  I felt comfortable enough to leave my house and run to Home Depot while he continued working... I am already putting together a list of more around the house things for him...I would trust him with any task and he is very reasonably priced.

I was looking to have my upstairs rooms painted.  I made an inquiry through Yelp and Paul got right back to me.  He came, assessed the job, and we agreed on the start date.  Paul was amazing.  He completely transformed three rooms in two days.  The paint looks wonderful.  He was so skilled at seamlessly moving things in a way that did not disrupt our living space.  He replaced two pipes and faucets under the house, and replaced a faucet in one of our bathrooms.  Paul also helped me get rid of debris in the garage.  Friendly, professional, courteous and kind, my son and two dogs also loved having Paul help at the house.  I can't recommend him enough!  Thank you so much Paul!

Paul's web presence and Angie's List rating is what brought me to him.
I emailed Paul regarding some prompt and thorough work I needed to prep my Condo for sale. He was able to fit me in - Coming by late on a Friday evening to do a walkthrough of the job and even brought in extra help to make sure the job was done on time in the 3 days I had available. It was great working with Paul, who was very thorough in making sure everything met my desires, and was sure to redo work if it didn't come out just right.

Our place looks fantastic, and I actually was prepared for the total cost to be more: Paul worked very hard and fast, and I look forward to working with him again in the future!

Paul replied promptly (same day) to email request for IKEA re-assembly after my move. I needed the job done within two days. Gary came over the next day - accommodating my schedule that day - and completed the job within the number of hours estimated by Paul based on pictures.  

Very good work, professional yet flexible, very reasonable prices. I would use them again and recommend to friends and family. Made my move just a little less stressful!

Thank goodness I called Paul. He called me back immediately, was courteous, and very interested in helping me get my job done. He referred me to Gary, an expert tile installer, to complete my kitchen backsplash. The price I negotiated with Gary was reasonable and within the range I was quoted from others.

I was particularly impressed by a few things: Gary's calm and respectful manner, his meticulous attention to detail when cutting and laying the tile, and his consistent and efficient work, and his flexibility with my schedule.

The only minor issue I had was that the site wasn't cleaned at the end of each workday. There was grout powder and tile spacers left on my countertops and in the sink, but it didn't cause any damage.

I left 3 email messages both thru Yelp and Paul's business email and I never got a response.

Paul made himself available right away.  he quoted his rate with clear explanation of the pricing, minimum hours, etc. He did 2 days of work and handled everything we threw at him.  This was for a n office building move, so not only is he adapt at home projects, he can also do business/commercial tasks also.  

He was prompt and gave very clear communication, but more importantly, fast replies.

Paul gave it his all and we got 2 projects done. Very pleased with services received and I would gladly hire Paul again or recommend him for your household projects.

I needed IKEA furniture assembeled and contacted Paul via Craigslist. He was very prompt and professional and turned around the assembly in one day! I will be calling Paul for other jobs I need done in the future. He is very well priced as well :)

It is really difficult at these times to find a reliable handyman with utmost most sincerity and integrity. I am really happy with the way he does business and his business philosophy. He is really transparent and makes things easier with clear communication. Plus he knows what he is doing, he cares and respects his work. Highly recommended!

Paul is a professional starting from the communication stage to work completion. He is very clear about work to be performed, estimates on time/materials, workday logistics, etc. His log of the workday is the most accurate I've seen. During Covid-19 time, he is very considerate about protecting client place and people involved.

Work is done and beyond thanks to Paul's thoughtful ideas upon asking. After some collaborative discussion with Paul, we slightly changed the scope of a demolish project to save a section of cabinets; it turned out to be a great idea!

I had no luck with Paul. He was slow to respond, asked twice to describe the job. Said he might be interested. Basically couldn't give me a clear answer and left me hanging. I sent him multiple emails but no response.

Judging from the reviews looks like he is good when you need a light bulb replaced or a picture put up, but he got nothing when a job is a bit more involved.

My advice Paul, if you are not interested in a job, just say so. Don't leave your customers hanging and we won't write bad reviews.

I hired Paul and Gary to help make my two-family more livable. They came on short notice and even rescheduled jobs to help me finish before my tenant arrived. They put in two smallish IKEA kitchens, Gary tiled one of the kitchens, re-grouted a bathroom, and straightened up various odds and ends around the house. I was very happy with both of them.

Paul helped us with quite a few projects around the house - hanging curtain rods, switching out bedroom ceiling lights and resizing our existing kitchen cabinetry to allow a larger sized fridge. He was quick and worked hard, and very pleasant to work with. He is multifaceted and unconventional; in a good way. Good communication, very conscientious about time/charges and we will definitely hire him again for more projects.

Paul is really fantastic! The job I had called him for was really small (fixing the garbage disposal). But then he resolved in one visit all the other issues that I had thought of addressing but never got around to, like caulking the wall-ceiling gap in my apartment. And as bonus, he gave me this fantastic picture puzzle I am still trying to solve.

I was really happy with the service provided.  Paul was on another job but sent over Gary to do some minor repairs in my condo.  Gary was prompt and finished everything in a short amount of time.  I would definetly use Paul's services again for any small jobs around the house, though I'm sure they would do bigger jobs if needed.

Paul did a terrific job helping me ready my rental property for showing. He was on time and did exactly what he said he would do at a reasonable price. He even made helpful suggestions (dismantling a Murphy bed to make my condo more marketable to prospective tenants) and carried out all the work in an efficient and
professional manner.  In addition, when I needed additional work done on short notice, he made time in his schedule to do the job the very next day!  

I have ZERO mechanical and carpentry skills and trusted Paul to shop for and install a new bathroom exhaust fan and completely new toilet tank inner workings.  The fan that needed replace was at least 30 years old. It was a size that is not available anymore and had been mounted into the tile work. Paul figured out a way to replace the working parts without disturbing the tile, thus saving me time and money.  

I have several handyman jobs that need done in my own home. I will be calling Paul for that work, too.
As an added perk, Paul is personable, intelligent and has a great wit and sense of humor.  I am very happy and thankful to have found him!

Updating this review, Paul returned and did some more work for me. He came on time ready to go, as last time. I took a day off from work to be there to let him in, but I I'm deducting one star for a couple reasons. First, I must say that I didn't have a vacation day. He talked to me or had me assisting all day for things that in my opinion could have been figured out without me; or, he could have given me a full report at the end instead of continuous calling me to help or take a look at something. It ended up being a little stressful. I also was disappointed in how he kept my house, just little things; traipsing in without even thinking to remove his shoes, dumping out contents of a new sink on my white carpet, leaving wet towels on my kitchen counter, throwing a dirty mailbox into the newly detailed trunk of my car, and dumping grout, wood and trash in my new large garbage can without liner (I'm picky about that). He also made a joke about some artwork in my bathroom, saying oh, so people can get culture while they poop. Just a little odd. I'm sure he will barely remember this stuff because he didn't seem to think about it. It's just because I'm obsessive about my house and keep it ultra clean and I was a little hangry! I was so busy with him I had no time to eat.

Otherwise, he is phenomenal. He is so incredibly nice and stayed LONGER than he planned to help me out, because I had forgotten to buy a new mailbox. so he waited for me to make a Lowes run. He's a sweetheart and takes pride in his work-to the point that you sometimes have to pry him away from something extra. He did beautiful work and was very reasonably priced. Despite these few issues, highly recommend.

Paul responded super quickly and was able to come over the next day. He fixed our annoying towel rack and replaced the sash cords on three old windows. He did a great job! Highly recommended.

Paul and his counterpart Gary are great. They do an excellent job and show up on time. They totally went above and beyond the call of duty and did fixes to my apartment in 6 or so hours that would have taken me weeks I feel like. Their experience, skill, expertise, attention to detail, and agreeable personalities make them a great hire. They are fairly priced as well.

I am very, very glad I hired them, and I was amazed, frankly, by how much they got done, so well, so quickly in such a short period of time. They fixed a leaky shower head (which was not even on my list of must fix items) by going out and finding the exact right part and replacing it because they knew it would be an easy fix. They painted two bathroom ceilings in a jiffy... re-calked two showers in a jiffy, and fixed two complicated door hinges... and the work better then ever--very smoothly.

Definitely hire these two if you can. They do a fantastic job and have a great sense of humor. They cleaned up everything nicely at the end, too. No complaints. Perfect job.
