Best Plumbing Services in Indiana
Jimmie Self with Who's Our Plumber is one of the most honest, fair, diligent, and knowledgeable plumbing contractors I have ever worked with. I have hired Jimmie to work on my own house multiple times, and including 2 slab leaks that required the excavation of a portion of my garage, porch, sidewalk, and the installation of a brand new service line. The company was not only diligent in completing the work, but also great at communicating with the my insurance company directly. I recommend Who's your plumber to all of my real estate clients, friends, and family, and everyone has had an excellent experience related to timely service, pricing, and having their plumbing problem solved.

We were in need of emergency service to fix our washer and dryer. I called at 12:30 to check on availability and they were at my house by 3. They fixed the issue quickly while also explaining to me why the issue was occurring and how to notice in the future of a potential problem. I was impressed by the professionalism of each person I spoke with today and their rate was extremely reasonable. A Team will be my first call the next time we need a plumber.

Amazing experience with David. He was extremely knowledgable about the codes and what equipment to get. He stepped in an corrected a basement sink and pump installation. While it was frustrating to be in the situation, I felt assured that David wasn't going to take advantage or take any short cuts while fixes someone else's mistakes. He communicated very well- he gave me updates on when he'd arrive for both the quote and the work. He was very professional, wore booties around the house, cleaned up all the messes from the installation and ensured we were 100% happy before leaving. He also gave a range of options for the repair/replacement; ie fix the current leak, fix the worst part vs total replacement. In addition, he let us know his work is guaranteed and to call if there are any issues.
Again, to be in a situation where someone you hired did not do the job they were supposed to, it is very frustrating and you feel very taken advantage of. David came in and completely reversed the situation and gave us a ton of advice for next steps. It was great to work with him! We will be sure to use him for all our future plumbing needs!

We hired Precision Leak detection to locate the leak- He was wonderful, came out the day we called him, pinpointed the leak with thermal imaging, ultrasound and pressurized the lines with air to double check with ultrasound. Very informative and accurate. We Highly Recommend!

I have used Hamm & Son's for the last 7 years for my 1965 home in northern Indianapolis. I have had good customer service, prompt on-time service, fair pricing, and lasting results. I highly recommend them. My services calls over this time have included update of sink shut off valves, replacement of toilet during upgrade, and most recently clogged main drain.

I needed a new toilet installed and a friend recommended Sordahl plumbing. The man who came out was knowledgeable and was able to get everything switched out quickly. It's working great! I'm having them come back next week to install some cut-off valves under the sinks. I'd recommend for efficient and good service.

Super quick and professional response. They were able to come the next day for a quote and were able to complete the work in the same day. Had a pipe start leaking below the slab. They were able to chip through the slab to repair and patch the slab before leaving. 10/10. Will call again.

We had a plumbing leak in our basement. We called Service Plus - two different guys fiddled around the entire day and then they let us know that they were going to need help from a more senior guy who could come out later in the evening. Until then, no using water, period. They called later explaining that it would be even later than expected, possibly 10 or 11pm, which turned into later, which turned into the next morning. They sent a more senior guy who came out and said that we needed a new grinder pump which, with installation, they estimated at $7782.
Sent them away and called Covalen, who charged me $3382 with tax and installation. Covalen, Rick 317-308-2957

These gentlemen were wonderful! They came out on a Thursday evening to give us a quote, and we're back Saturday afternoon to do the job of installing an additional outlet in the garage. They were very thorough on the planning, and the checked a couple times to make sure they were doing what we wanted. They were very well priced, courteous, quick with their work, and cleaned up after themselves. We will definitely use them again for future electrical projects.

Super friendly staff (I mean way over the top friendly, which isn't a bad thing) and great technicians. Luckily I haven't had to utilize a service call, but they have a great service club that is basically like an insurance policy should anything go wrong - you pay a monthly fee to not be charged when your heating or air conditioning goes out in the middle of the night or on the weekend. We deemed this an acceptable gamble when dealing with an exceptionally hot summer with a newborn - we didn't want to run the risk of having the AC go out and having to wait a few days for it to get fixed.
So far so good - the technicians are helpful and service is great. Everything continues to run smoothly thanks to their assistance. Highly recommended!

I'm sorry to say we didn't have a great experience with this company recently. I called on a Friday evening for a gas water heater repair - there were warning lights on water heater and it hadn't been working all day. I had read the mostly positive reviews and found a coupon online for a free service call ($89) with repair. They offered to come out that night, but wouldn't honor the coupon since it was considered after hours. I asked if they could come first thing Saturday morning and honor the coupon and they said they could. So - ease of scheduling was good. The repairman was out before 9 am Saturday morning.
He looked at the heater, checked some stuff in his book, and said the igniter assembly was probably broken, which was a common problem with that brand of water heater. He said we could google the brand and read all about it. He said it was going to be an expensive repair - at least $1000 - or we might prefer to opt for a new heater altogether. He didn't have the parts in stock, and couldn't check until Monday whether the parts were under warranty, in which case we'd only pay about $500+.
Meanwhile, my mom, who happened to be visiting, took his advice and started googling. While the repairman was looking up costs, she found a YouTube video that described the exact problem we've been having - the flame tries to ignite, the fan goes on, and it doesn't stay lit. It cycles about 3 times then turns off for an hour. The video repairman showed that this is usually caused by a dirty, corroded igniter. The video showed how to remove the igniter assembly and clean it with steel wool. After the repairman left, my Dad and I were able to follow the video and do just that. It's been 5 days now and the water heater has been working perfectly ever since.
I would have been perfectly happy to pay the repairman a couple hundred bucks to do what we did. However, he didn't even look at the assembly. He also gave us a written estimate of $1900 for a new water heater with installation. According to the web and everyone I've talked to, a new mid-range water heater with installation should only be about $800.
When he called back on Monday to tell us our parts were indeed under warranty he didn't sound at all surprised to hear that we had fixed the problem ourselves. I think he knew by then that he had overshot his target. We did end up paying the $89 since we didn't make a repair - fine. Luckily we now know the parts are under warranty - if they break permanently I'll call a different company.

Had JD Smith install a water heater 11/2016. Found that it was damaged prior to installation but they installed it anyway and didn't bother to inform me about it. I wrote to them concerning the damage and here is their reply:
Thank you for reaching out to us in regards to your water heater installation. I have reviewed your picture and your invoice history as well. Water heater installation can be quite an adventure. Getting them loaded and unloaded on our vehicles, dragging them upstairs or holding on for dear life as we go downstairs. Squeezing them around corners in homes and into tight little closets all without damaging the door trims, carpet or walls. On many occasions the water heater jackets get scratched or dented in the process. Sometimes they even come out of the box with a dent or imperfection on the jacket. In almost all cases the issue is purely cosmetic and does not affect the performance of the water heater or the warranty. The jacket of the water heater performs the task of holding insulation in place and providing a bit of clothing on what would otherwise be an ugly black steel tank.
Our technician should have brought this to your attention and explained what I have explained above. For that I apologize. However, I can assure you that in no way is your water heater compromised nor will it's warranty or performance be lessened in anyway. Once again, thank you for contacting us and for your business.
Sincerely,
Terry Illy

Seems it's just too bad if you end up with damaged goods and customers just have accept that fact. If I had them deliver a new TV or stove with damage, would that be acceptable? Why is this any different?
The assistant manager cavalierly dismissed my claim, so I'll let you decide if you want to have them do your plumbing work.

Called B&W to look at a hot water heater. Repairman didn't even evaluate the unit. Just wanted to see how much he could charge me. Quoted me $1,200.00 plus $250.00 to move a washer next to it! Went to Home Depot and got same unit installed for $700.00! What a rip off company! Wouldn't use them to hook up a garden hose.

My floor drain was plugged up I call just Drains because I like their commercial. The tech was rude and yelled and cussed at the drain. Needless to say he couldn't clear the drain he said it was a collapsed Line and recommend a company that could replace it. Looking back this must have been a friend cause he wanted a $1000. Anyway I called Mr plumber and the camera tech said his line would not work and suggested I use a blow bag which hooks to your hose expands in drain shoots a power jet stream into the clog!/it worked cleared my line. I called and talked to just Drains supervisor came out and said no refund even though the tech could or would not fix it as well as the missed diagnosis. $147.00 down the drain because of crooks please help by forwarding this review to everyone u know

I got lured by their furnace tuneup discounted offer. But I had a feeling that it was just to get them in. The tuneup was nothing but cleaning the condensed water pipe. Of course they want to get you somewhere. Although my furnace was running fine, yet the tech recommended to replace the capacitor and he quoted the price of $98. I okayed to replace the capacitor. It took him literally 1 minute to put one in. When he was doing the paper work, I decided to check the price of the capacitor online. To my shock it was a $2 part, for which he charged $98 for a one minute work. I tried to tell him how he was ripping of people. But these are experienced robbers and he wouldn't budge on the price. What a money making scam they have.
