When we started having water seeping up through our floorboards on a holiday weekend I started calling plumbers in a panic.  Donnie answered the phone and said he was more than happy to have someone come out on the holiday weekend for an emergency fee, but rather than do that right away he talked me through checking to see if this was something that needed to be taken care of or if it could wait till the week when it would be normal rates.  Not only did he save us a lot of money, but he got members of his team first thing the next morning and they were able to diagnosis the problem as a leak in our water heater and get the whole thing replaced and up in running in about half a day.  

Every member of the team was polite, professional, and amazingly helpful.  I cannot imagine having a better experience of replacing a water heater and they were able to salvage a really stressful weekend.  We will definitely be calling them again should the need arise.

I have used Donnie several times for different plumbing issues. This past weekend my parents woke up to a burst pipe and wet basement. Donnie sent his team out that day to help them and did not charge them until the work was completed. 100% recommend.

Ricky and his co-worker did great job to unclog 2 sinks at church. We will ask him again. They are best plumbers in the whole world.

Spoke to Donnie early in the morning about an issue we had with our kitchen sink being either plugged up with debris or needing to be replaced.  Donnie was awesome and was able to ensure a team member could be out that same day.  He also made sure I would be ready for either scenario and provided recommendations on where and which brands to purchase for a replacement faucet - above and beyond.  What was equally impressive was when the team member (I believe his name was David) showed up.  He was a total pro - and an efficient one at that.  He came in with an assistant and quickly diagnosed and removed the debris from the aerator and faucet.  Viola - faucet works great now.  Will definitely be using them as our go-to plumber!

We had an issue the day before Thanksgiving and called our regular plumber, but he was out of town, so HE called Cross County for us. The guy I trust trusts them, so that's already a plus.

They came out within a couple hours and snaked our main line. The price was fair for the work which was nice because we did not ask. We just needed it done.

Then a couple nights later we had a similar issue, so they came back and did the work the next day for no additional cost, and were able to send a camera down the line and show us the problem.

The whole time they were here they were very respectful of our space and all-around nice guys. If you ever need a plumber I hate that for you but I'd recommend Cross County without a second thought.

Had a pipe burst in the middle of the night, my HOA helped me contact a plumber in order to fix the pipe and be able to turn the water back on. They came when they said they would, Donnie gave me a heads ups when they were on their way which was super helpful since I have a toddler schedule to coordinate around.  The gentleman that came worked super fast around the restoration people, fixed it, explained the problem and made sure I knew what to do so it didn't happen again. I did not know what to expect from a cost perspective but was relieved and felt that it was more than fair compared to other work I have had done by plumbers in the past. Will definitely call them if I need anything in the future.

Donnie is amazing. I have used Cross County Plumbing for more than one issue and every time he is extremely courteous, quick to respond,  honest about the situation and what needs to be done. I just really appreciate someone who has such a high degree of integrity.

These guys came through for my family in the middle of a truly hard and stressful time in our lives. We had a plumbing situation that came to light at 3am Saturday morning.

I called and texted with Donnie around 9:30am. He was able to do a quick face time session and look at the problem in our laundry room with the water overflow and suggest what the issue was and that he would be sending someone over in the afternoon. He was upfront about the cost as well. I am not sure what the traditional cost for such a service would be, but we were fine with it as we truly had no options.
Kevin came at 3:15pm and sawed a PVC pipe and used a snake to drain a clog. Whatever he did worked and we were back to normal by 5pm.

We have used Cross County several times. Recently we called about a leak in our ceiling. When they first came out, they thought it may have been an improperly seated toilet, which they fixed right away. When the leak didn't stop, they got someone out to look again, and because they hadn't caught it the first time around, they didn't charge us. Unfortunately, the leak didn't stop there, and the same person came out to help one more time. He apologized for misdiagnosing the problem, fixed it, and told us there wouldn't be a charge.

This is the first contractor I've ever felt comfortable contacting, and even when the problem doesn't get fixed right away, Donnie and his team are always willing to make it right. This is a really great place to contact when you need work done.

These guys stepped up when I needed a reliable plumber and hit a home run. I will never use anyone else. Donnie and his crew are fabulous.

I was very impressed with Donnie and this plumbing company.  I actually have a service plan with another company, but after several confusing calls with them, I started to call other plumbers.  Donnie was the first one to call me back.  I asked him about getting some new toilets installed.  I liked that he did need to come in and do an initial inspection and then give me quote to install toilets.  I was asking a pretty straight forward questions, but many other companies wanted to send some one out, and charge me for a visit without doing any work!  

DONNIE IS VERY HONEST AND TO THE POINT.  I really appreciate his honesty in all aspects of the job.  I asked him what toilets to get, and he gave some great recommendations.  He did not try to sell me anything.  I read my own reviews and saw that his recommendations were consistent with other users.  I ordered the toilets and picked the toilets up the night before the install. One toilet was broken so I called Donnie on the morning of the install to ask him should I reschedule, he was so fair that he told me not to worry about it.  He said he would come back and install the new toilet like he was doing multiple work at my house, even though they had to come back on separate days!

In addition, a few days before my scheduled toilet install date, I asked if he could replace a bathroom faucet sink, he said no problem and did it on the same day!

In addition, the price Donnie quoted me for the work was very fair.  I called other companies including the company I have a service agreement with, and Donnie gave the best price especially for the great quality of work, honesty, and great customer service. I did not mind ordering and picking up my toilets and faucet, but the plumber could have done that too for a small extra charge.  

The quality of the work was great!  All the toilets and faucet work great and they will come back and fix something if it does not work.  The work is guaranteed for one year.  The person who came was quick and fast.  He was also friendly and kept me informed throughout the install.  

Believe the Yelp rating and all the 5 star reviews, these guys are legitimately  great.  I would use them for any plumbing service and already started referring them to my friends.

My hot water heater began flooding my basement at midnight on Saturday night. The 24/7 emergency plumbers I called Saturday night and Sunday morning either didn't answer or were unavailable. Then I called Cross County. The water had stopped coming out of the tank, and Donnie spent considerable time on the phone with me to figure out the issue. He was willing to come out, totally transparent about pricing, and then helped me resolve the problem without coming. He went way above and beyond, especially for someone he didn't know. I am grateful to Donnie and his incredible professionalism and customer service. Cross County will be my first call in the future when I need a plumber.

I have been using Cross County Plumbing for a few years now. Honestly I have dabbled with several other plumbers over the years, but Cross County Plumbing is the most reliable, cost-effective, and takes the time to communicate. They are the best value for your money. Price is always reasonable for a plumber. There are cheaper options but  you don't want cheap and you don't want expensive. You want value. If they serve your area, stop looking and call Donnie.

Donnie and his team of expert plumbers (Ricky) and his apprentice were fabulous!  They were punctual, wore masks and removed shoes upon entering and even found a small pinhole leak before it became a huge problem.  We had them back twice to put in 4 additional sink faucets and a shower faucet.  Extremely reasonable prices and top-notch!  They will certainly get our business in the future!

Called Cross County about a leaky shower head and Donnie answered the phone right away.  He explained the problem in layman's terms (without being condescending!) and even discussed the pros and cons of repair versus replacement.  He was able to schedule an appointment for just a few days later.  His colleague Ricki arrived right on time and worked steadily until the problem was fixed.  The charge was very reasonable.  Cross County Plumbing will now be my go-to plumber!

Had a water main going bad - apparently the previous owner of our house had the water main previously repaired that started going bad - but Donnie and Co were able to dig it up &  fix with a reasonable time and price quote and all worked out well . Thx

Cross Country Plumbing repaired a burst water line last weekend after the recent cold snap. I could not have been happier with their service, which is saying a lot for anyone who has worked with contractors before.

I called them on a Saturday afternoon and they were able to come out the next morning, on a Sunday (the only plumber of the five that I called who could respond so quickly). They arrived on time, worked efficiently, were very knowledgable, and friendly. After a solid four hours of work, they had our water back up and running.

I would definitely consider using them again in the future - I was very impressed.

I had a great experience with Cross County!  I called about a toilet. Donnie promptly set me up with an appointment. Based on my description of the problem, he told me the possible causes and gave me an estimate for repairs.

The next morning, Rob appeared right on time. He slipped on his shoe covers and came in to check things out.  He explained what was wrong and told me how he was going to fix it. Then he did so for exactly the price I was quoted!

None of this should be surprising.  But having a plumber who shows up on time, explains repairs clearly and charges a fair price is rare.  I really appreciate professional and polite service that I received from Cross County.

I can't say enough great things about this company. I had a ceiling leak in the basement and they were here within a couple of hours, before any other company could come out. They got to work immediately and spent an hour and a half doing the repairs and cleaned up after themselves. They were very honest, respectful and fair. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely continue using them in the future for any plumbing needs. Thank you Ricky and Donnie!!

Expensive Plumbers.  CrossCounty was in my house 10 minutes, replaced 1 toilet gasket and charged me $175.  They said that was the minimum charge.

First time I called for this provider and the man on the phone is very rude. He didnt answer any of my question about our toilet issue. He didnt bother asking what repair do we need or anything. I think his yelp reviews are not legit.

My utility tub, that the washer drains into was totally clogged up!! IT flooded the laundry room, it was a mess.

Donny answered on a Sat morning and was as honest as could be about time and price (yes it was the weekend and it would cost more, but my daughters were leaving on a big trip and NEEDED to do last-minute laundry!).

David was here within an hour and snaked that clog outta there!!! Done in about 45minutes!!!

It's Saturday am and My girlfriend and I are stuck in my one bedroom condo because of Coronavirus situation.   My toilet clogged this am.   I tried to plunge it several times (which always works) but no luck.   I called ccp and Donny answered - who was at home.   He spent about 15 minutes on the phone with me and walked me through retrying to plunge and fix it.  Sure enough, it worked.   Donny couldn't have been nicer and more helpful.  I highly recommend Donny and this company.   I will be calling them next time I need a plumber

They are the best contractors I've ever hired. I hired them for a simple pipe replacement, but thanks to whomever built my house, they had to deal with a number of problems which made a simple repair into a long and difficult job. Donnie and Ricky along with their crew handled it with cool professionalism and focus that you never see in a contractor these days. It took them longer than they had planned, but they overcame the problems through sheer ingenuity and got the job done. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

If you hire any other plumber in moco, you're a fool. They will be my first call for every plumbing problem in the future and should be for you as well.

A simple wax ring replacement turned into an unexpected (and out of our depth) flange replacement. I asked for a quote via yelp on Saturday night, and Donnie immediately responded and had someone out here by Sunday afternoon. Ricky was absolutely terrific and got us squared away with both the flange and adding a laundry line to the same pipe so we could move the washer down to the basement. The extra work took longer than expected, but they stuck to their quoted price, and Ricky was really nice and patient with us the whole time. Would definitely use them again and highly recommend!!

They were able to provide service promptly on a last minute notice. Professional and efficient!

Our property manager called Cross County Plumbing to fix a leak from the unit above us.  The plumbers said they did not find an active leak & left without providing a cause or remedy for the leak.  We put plastic over the hole in our ceiling & sure enough, droplets of water have come down since last night.  Clearly, there is an active leak, but they were not able to find it on Friday due to incompetence, corruption or both. I do NOT recommend this company.

We needed a garbage disposal replaced over a weekend, on short notice. Kevin not only did it in record time....but was pleasant and didn't seem to mind the (annoying) homeowner watching over his shoulder! Great!!

They came out the next day to hook up a new fridge to water, replace a tub spout, and investigate a leak. They were on time, courteous, made the fixes efficiently, provided me with materials to fix the leak, and all for a very reasonable price. I really appreciated the prompt attention and good service. Don't be turned off by the brusqueness on the phone--these guys know their stuff and are honest and fair. Will use again.

Kevin Lyons came out to my house the same day I needed my drain snaked. I have two toilets that are not working as well. Kevin identified the problems very quickly and fixed the two toilets, and completely cleared the drain in a very professional, efficient manner. While he was fixing it, Kevin found the problem of the kitchen sink water hammering which has been happening since I moved in, which he fixed as well. I am very glad I called Kevin and will definitely recommend.

Hands down the best plumbing service I have worked with! Donnie was fast to reply to my inquiry one evening (which was around Easter time, by the way). He gave me a very reasonable quote and said that he could send someone out the very next morning. David arrived promptly. He was courteous and professional, but most importantly he was persistent. What initially seemed like a quick snaking job ended up being more complicated, and instead of giving up he kept working and after some time the issue was totally resolved. Though the job took longer than expected I was charged the original quoted price. I called Donnie to provide positive feedback about David and he called me back to thank me for my business. Having a plumbing issue is terrible but Donnie's fabulous group made it as easy to take care of as possible.

Great, honest company. Donnie was very responsive to my phone calls and texts. They came to the house on two separate occasions and were prompt both times. The guys were super nice and finished the job quickly. Highly recommended!

We had a great experience with Cross County Plumbing.  They responded to my quote request within minutes and got me set up with an appointment as soon as I was available.  The plumber was friendly and took care of our drain quickly.  I would definitely use these guys again.

These guys are great!  More affordable than the two other plumbing companies I had come over to give us estimates (these companies also had excellent reviews).  Donny came to do the estimate and we felt that he was practical and demonstrated commensense about how to approach our situation. He didn't try to up sell us on things that did not need to be verifiably replaced (at least currently), but he did catch one issue that none of the other plumbers noticed, which was a good idea to address.  While installing a new water heater (one of the jobs we needed addressed) his team did notice an issue with how the prior plumbers (who installed the previous water tank) installed the gas lines and instead of ignoring the situation, his team didn't want to mess around with a safety concern and so they addressed this issue as well for a reasonable price.

I also want to acknowledge that they did not have any issue dealing with my wife who was able to stay home and telework.  Quite a few contractors seem to freeze or not be happy when they have to deal with a women, which I think is ridiculous in today's day and age.  I have also noticed that these folks tend to not do as well of a job for whatever reason.  My wife really liked Donny's team.

I used Cross County plumbing for the first time on 07/25/19, based on their very favorable yelp reviews.  I had a kitchen sink that was clogged for three days, and I tried my best to get it unclogged. I'm the type of person that if there is any chance at all that I can do it myself, I will try to do it. I was four hours into it, and exhausted, and I own a professional Rigid plumber's snake, but I couldn't get the damned drain to clear. Both of Donnie's technicians advised me that I need to get a different auger head for my machine. I found it on Amazon and ordered it.

I must say that Donnie is an honest guy who is straight with you. The communication was excellent, and the technicians came to the house when Donnie said they would. They had some equipment problems with a plumbers snake breaking (this is life), and they had to bring another one from another location. The price for the work done was extremely reasonable. They first tried to go 30 feet, and the clog was still there. They then went 67.5 feet and finally got it. With that amount of drain snake they used, they probably cleared out both of my neighbors drains too, unbeknownst to them. The technician was there at least an hour. I guarantee that most plumbers would have doubled the estimated price, because they had to snake the drain twice. But Cross County plumbing stuck with their initial estimate.
Also, the technicians were very friendly and knowledgeable.
You can't get any better than this.
I will not hesitate to use them again.

I had an emergency situation and normally using that word means you're about to be taken advantage of. What a plesant surprise when I encountered Cross County Plumbing. They were booked on existing jobs, but told me someone could come early that evening. Kevin arrived and saved the day for me. He was knowledgeable, professional and had my problem promptly fixed. The biggest surprise was the total amount due! They couldn't have been more fair and reasonable. It is so nice to find a business that cares about the customer and treats them honestly. They will be my go to plumbers in the future and I highly recommend that you use them for your plumbing needs.

It's the day after thanksgiving, and I start hearing the toilet bubbling. Of course, the sewer line is clogged. For the second time in a month! I definitely wasn't using the same guy as last time, so I went to trusty Yelp and found Cross Country Plumbing. I called and left a message for Donnie. He called me back within 15 minutes and clearly explained what was happening, how to fix it, and his cost. Without even seeing it! I had another plumber on his way out who was going to charge me 3 times as much! Kevin came out within the hour and was friendly and competent and fast and gave me what I thought was a very fair rate, especially considering it was an emergency and he didn't charge an emergency rate. He cleaned up after himself and calmed my nerves and even told us how to get WSSC to refund us his charges. I've found my plumbers.

Nothing but good things to say about Donnie and his crew.  I needed a plumber twice over the last few weeks- first for a clogged garbage disposal drain line, and then for a leaking toilet.  Both times a plumber was sent that day, and both times Tony did a quick efficient job getting everything working again.  He then double checked everything was working, and cleaned everything (and I mean everything) back up.  They are very friendly an explain everything to you.  I'm very happy to have found a reliable plumber in the area!

When a pipe busted in my house 6 other plumbing companies said they couldn't get to me for 4 days. Donnie found time and got to me as soon as he could which in this case was the next day. Quick, professional, and from my point of view very knowledgeable. They troubleshot the problem, and found the pipe in less than hour, then had it capped and got our water running again in no time. Big relief.

I genuinely appreciate good business and these guys were a good business. If you need a plumber, give these guys a call. Based on my experience, you wont regret it.

I needed an Instant Hot machine installed under the sink as the old one died and the copper tubing didn't reach the new one. Plumber arrived on time, took his shoes off, was very nice and quickly finished the job. He also stayed and test the new machine and showed me how to operate it. In passing I asked him how to reduce the hot water temperature in the house and he took me to the main water heater and did it for me while teaching me how to do it. I will certainly be using these guys for my next plumbing job!

The only reason that I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because they do not take credit cards.  They take only cash and check.  Inconvenient.
Nevertheless, I will use them again.

At first, we wanted to change our 3 prong (hot/cold/shower) to just a one prong.  The main reason why we wanted this was due to an issue with our main bathroom tub and shower, where when we would turn on the water, the shower also came on.  This was unfortunately causing issues with our water pressure and taking showers in this bathroom.  Unfortunately, Cross Country would have had to tear down tile and drywall to complete the work, and we just did not want the hassel.  The plumber that came to complete the work was able to replace the shower stem and changed out our old spout for a new one. This improved our water pressure and we are now able to use our shower!!!!!  We are so grateful for Cross Country for their honesty and service!!!  We will definitely recommend them to our friends and utilize them in the future!

I scheduled an appointment with Donnie, the appointment was scheduled for a few days down the road.  Shortly after scheduling the appointment I called back and said the appointment wouldn't work, shortly after that I left another message saying that the appointment would in fact work if we could have the appointment be from 10:30 to 12:00, instead of the initially agreed upon 10:00 to 12:00.  I left a couple follow up messages because Donnie hadn't returned my call, I asked him to get in touch with me to let me know if we were on for the 10:30 to 12:00.  He never gets back to me until 11:30 in the middle of the window I'd proposed, and wants to talk about sending somebody over.  When I express that it wouldn't work at this point and that I didn't know if he was coming or not because he never got back to me about the changed appointment time, he responds by saying, Well, you kept changing the appointment.

Again, after initially booking the appointment I cancelled it, then followed up very quickly and said we could more or less do the original appointment but with a half our delay at the start time, and please get back to me and let me know.  I don't hear from him for 2 or 3 days (and not until two thirds of the way through the appointment window I'd proposed) despite leaving multiple follow up messages and he's implying it's my fault because I kept changing the appointment as if I'd changed it 8 times.

I've got a pretty serious leak in my kitchen and this has delayed me getting it fixed.

WOW!  Just when I thought there were no more honest plumbers I was fortunate enough to call Cross County Plumbing.  I explained the issue over the phone and received an honest assessment as opposed to a sales pitch preying on my concerns.  I will definitely call them in the future if I need anything plumbing related!

Donnie responded promptly to assess the situation and gave recommendations on actions to take.  He even suggested to contact the City of Rockville to screen out some other possibilities.  Came quickly to inspect and honestly suggested the right repairs needed.  Big thumb-up for the great service and honesty!

Had a clogged basement drain. Arrived at the time agreed. Snaked it. Problem solved in 30 minutes.

We can't say enough great things about this company. I sent a query on Yelp on a Sunday - I received a call within 2 hours. They were the only company on Yelp we contacted on Sunday that did get back to us that day, even though others stated 24/7 service. Cross Country Plumbing was able to go out the next day (Monday) to examine the problem and did the work on Tuesday. The owner is amazing - he's so responsive, kind and honest. We felt like we were dealing with a very reputable company who cared about doing good work and providing honest fees for the clients. We had an issue related to a corroded pipe that was leaking into our basement so it wasn't one of your run of the mill issues. They assessed the situation, were spot on with the solution and we could not have been happier in dealing with this company. Would highly recommend. They are going to be our first go-to company going forward for any plumbing needs we have.

David has done a great job on my project. He arrived on time and put on shoes cover as requested. He unclogged the toilet and cleaned the mess after the job was done. He's efficient, professional and courteous. Thank you.

Thank you to Donnie and Rick. Their team good work on my water leak on the front yard. However, the last crew that do the cover up was not as great. It is ok. I fix it no problem. Overall, they are very up front and honest about the entire process.

My kitchen sink, which has a disposal on it, was clogged. I called late morning, and by early afternoon, a plumber showed up. He was very personable and efficient. He had my kitchen sink draining well within a half hour.  No muss, no fuss, no mess. If I ever need a plumber again, I'm calling them.

This review is a few months late but we highly recommend Cross County Plumbing. Our basement flooded due to backed up plumbing and, of course, this happened over the weekend. I called several plumbers and Donnie was the only one to return my call. To avoid weekend prices, Donnie recommended that we continue to use water sparingly and that he could have someone at our house first thing Monday morning. The plumbers arrived on time, we're friendly and did a very thorough job in clearing the pipes and replacing a kitchen faucet at a fair price. We would definitely use them again in the future.

Donnie went out of his way to accommodate my schedule. Installed a new hot water heater 48 hrs after I asked for an estimate. Excellent service and follow-up.

I've used Cross County Plumbing twice now, once to install new shower fixtures, and a second time to install a new garbage disposal. Both times the work was completed quickly and flawlessly. But what I appreciated most about them was the time that they took to understand the problem (and help me understand what I needed to do) before actually proposing a solution and coming out to do the work. I talked to Donnie on the phone both times and felt like he really listened to me, helped me understand what was going on with the plumbing, and what my options were. He also gave me recommendations on negotiating the warranty with the manufacturer which really paid off - although the product was no longer under warranty, I did get a discounted replacement part from the manufacturer. So I really appreciated the all-around professionalism and great customer service. I'm really glad that I found them and intend to continue working with them for future plumbing needs!

Had a very good experience with Cross County to replace a faulty pressure reducing valve.  Donnie was able to dispatch someone within a day after my call.  David was professional and friendly and got the job done efficiently and tidily.  The company is also recommended by some neighbors on Nextdoor.

Donnie from Cross County Plumbing was the only one out of multiple requests I sent to highly-rated Yelp plumbers who responded to my request for an estimate. He called the same day (a holiday evening) and talked through the list of items we needed to have addressed. I felt comfortable hiring Cross County to do the work and was pleased with the work they did. The crew was on time, professional, neat and tidy, and responsive to the couple of questions I had. I also called Donnie last night when we had an emergency (broken water pipe) and although unfortunately he didn't have anyone available, he gave us some guidance on what a reasonable price should be for the repair based on our description. I will definitely call Cross County the next time we have any plumbing issues.

I found cross county plumbing when my mainline backed up. I had a few other plumbing companies come out for estimates and cross county was the most honest and helpful to work with. As an out of town landlord this was really helpful. Some other companies were charging me $43k and a full line replacement. Kevin took a look and explained to us how that wasn't necessary and the line just needed to be cleaned out very well. I highly recommend them and will use their services again.

I am very impressed with Donnie and his team. Donnie was very responsive and returned my calls, despite the fact that we were playing phone tags for over a day. I can't recall the names of the individuals who came by to repair the leaky pipes, but they were true professionals. Without asking, they knew to take their shoes off coming in to the house because they saw that I was walking around the house barefooted. I showed one of the guys the water main shut-off in the basemen (in the husband's man cave). On their way out, they turned the water back on, turn off the lights in the basemen, and cleaned up the work area. It is as if this stressful leaky pipes incident never occurred and they were never here...Oh and they fixed the leaks. They are my plumbers for life.

Must have caught them on a bad day... Whoever answered the phone (a male) was very rude and condescending. I was so put off by him that I did not want to deal with him anymore. It's too bad considering the seemingly good reviews posted... In the end, we went with another plumber that was polite, came the same day and did a great job.

I contacted Donnie yesterday after reading other Yelp reviews. I needed a toilet replaced and a kitchen filtering system changed. He sent Jim this morning and it was taken care of well. Great work and straight forward. I will definitely contact them for any future needs. Seems like a local small business so always worth encouraging. The price I paid seemed a bit high but issue resolved promptly so am happy.

This is the company to use.  They are incredible.  Donnie is the owner and runs a wonderful business. Rick, Mike and Dave did the work (I think I remember the names correctly).
We had a leak in our basement pipes (pinhole leak in copper pipes).  The emergency repair was done by another company on a Saturday night.  We needed to replace all the pipes so that this would not happen again (we had already replaced the 1st floor pipes).  I left messages for 5 companies and they all responded within 30 minutes.  Donnie however had one of his staff out at our house within the hour to look at the job.  He called right back with an estimate and was able to start the work several days later.  It turned out to require some additional work and they came back the next week and finished.  They were neat, clean, respectful and wonderful.  The cost was very affordable.
Another company came that first day to estimate.  They told me it would be 1 to 2 days for an estimate.  It came a week later (after all the work was already done) and it was for 4 times the amount Cross County charged (using the same materials).  
It is very special in this day and age of expensive poorly done work to find a company that takes pride in their work and does it so well and for such a reasonable amount.

We were about to leave town for a cross country flight for the holidays, when our sink backed up. Not wanting to leave gross standing water sitting in the sink for over a week, I started calling plumbers to see if someone could come on an emergency basis. The first few plumbers I reached basically told me I was out of luck. Then I called Cross County and got Donnie on the phone. He understood the urgency and told me that while he couldn't come out right away, he could walk me through how to open the trap under the sink and at least drain the standing water. He was patient and took me through the steps, and it worked! When we returned home a few days later, I scheduled with Cross County and Rob came out. He arrived exactly on time (first thing in the morning) and was very polite and professional. He checked the sink and found that the clog was really far down the drain. After a few tries he was able to clear it. He cleaned up after he was done. Great service all around. Not the cheapest plumbers but you get what you pay for and I was very pleased with their work.

Tony, Anthony, came to my condo in SE DC to replace a wax seal below the toilet. He was respectful, knowledgeable, professional and kind! I am very impressed with him and his company, esp Donnie Trimboli, one of the owners. I def recommend these guys to anyone wjo needs work done. Very refreshing to find Cross County in DC. With all the horror stories and bad contractors in this town, Cross County are the good guys! Well done.

Great company. I've had two issues in the past year and Donnie has always responded very quickly. They are very detailed in their diagnosis and are very friendly. They don't over charge and are quick but thorough with their work. They gave an estimated time of 4 hours after I called, but ended up calling and said they would be there within the next 40 min. They came a lot sooner which was great! Very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

On Tuesday, July 21,2015, I came home from work, and found water coming through the ceiling in my laundry room. After searching on Yelp, I called Cross County Plumbing based on their high reviews. At almost 8:30 pm I was called back in less than 5 minutes by Donnie. After explaining my issue, he asked what was above that room. I said the master bathroom. He patiently walked me through checking the toilet, and instructing me what to do to eliminate any further damage. What really impressed me, was that he told me to wait 20 minutes and call him back to let him know if the leaking in the laundry room ceiling had stopped. I called him back 20 minutes later and it had stopped ! Once Donnie was sure that we were okay for the night, and could wait for the morning, he asked for my address and told me that someone would be by tomorrow, as soon as they could.
            On Wednesday morning, Donnie called me to let me know that someone would be by to assist, between 2 and 4 pm in the afternoon. I also confirmed with him that Cross County Plumbing, took only cash or check.  Anthony, was at my house at 3:30 pm and by 4:00 pm he had the leak fixed.  It turns out that it was coming from the tank bolts. Anthony replaced the bolts, the gasket, and turned back on the water. No leaks ! Anthony then went downstairs into the laundry room and looked through the hole I had cut in the ceiling in an attempt to see what was going on. After feeling under the shower in the master bathroom, and the toilet, he proclaimed us good to go !  I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Donnie made me feel secure enough to go to sleep that night, and Anthony treated me and my house with respect and care. Anthony even took off his shoes before entering my house, without being asked. After receiving the extremely reasonable bill, and writing a check, Anthony politely bid us farewell, and mentioned that he also lives in Montgomery Village. He also told me to call back if I have any other problems.

Unfortunately, no one likes having to fix a leak, but because of it I have found a new plumber and a new plumbing company !

One of my best customer service experiences ever! I called Donnie (at the last minute) before Home Depot arrived to install new countertops and we needed the water shut off ASAP, but the valve under our sink was stuck/corroded. He stayed on the phone with me for 10 minutes explaining different options and walked me through how to shut off my water at the water heater. Amazing advice. I felt like my dad was walking me through something. We did have them come later to replace the valve. Anthony was prompt, polite and explained as he repaired. It was extremely helpful! He even demonstrated how we can install our water filtration system ourselves! I will absolutely call them next time I need someone and will be recommending them to everyone I know. Great service, great guys and very affordable!

Competent, honest, and responsive. What more can you ask. I will not hesitate to hire them in the future. Compared to other estimates, prices were very fair - not low balling but very well priced. They know what they're doing.

Called and left a message over the weekend - Donnie called back with a major 'tude and very confrontational about how I got his number. What? Maybe he was just cross.  Are you insane or maybe just racist? Obviously, didn't even get as far as that phone conversation. How else are people supposed to contact you? Through ads, buddy! If you don't want to be bothered on a Saturday, then don't list yourself as a 24 hour plumber.

As good as it gets!  They are dependable, responsible and reliable; they work as a team and perform variety of duties and handle each situation with ease.   When you call them, they take their time to assess the situation (calm you down) and patiently walk you through the steps that need to be taken to mitigate the situation and what will be done.  Donnie and his staff take their time to explain the situation and provides alternative actions (if there is one), to make sure that you fully understand what is being done and how much to expect for it to cost; no hidden fees.  This team shows pride in their work and I wouldn't think twice about calling another plumber.  If anyone reaches out to me in search of a plumber, Cross County is the first one I mention.  So if you're in search of a plumber, don't look any further, call them!  You will be happy you did.

If Cross County ever gives up plumbing they should open a school to teach other service professionals how to run a business!

We had a leak in the ceiling of our garage.  OF COURSE it started at 4:30 pm on a Friday!  My wife called Cross County and was given the option of a Monday call or an emergency Friday call (which would be more $).  After a few minute discussion, it was determined that we could wait until Monday which would save us the extra $.  The appt was scheduled for an arrival of 8-10am.  They showed up at 8:30, were incredibly professional (removed their shoes every time they entered our home), explained what they were doing, and were done in 30 minutes.  Problem solved for less than $ I expected!

There was a water line leak in my front yard and was potentially my line that needed repairs.  I called up Donnie and he immediately picked up, whereas the three or four other plumbers never picked up or got back to me.  I explained my situation to Donnie and was helpful in answering my questions, and describing to me the potential scope of work needed for the repairs.  He came out later that day (Saturday afternoon) to physically examine and assess the situation and provided me helpful tips to determine whether my water line that was leaking or if it was my neighbors.  Based on his advice I determined it was my line leaking and two days later (Monday) Ricky came out to determine where to trench, the path of my water line and where my line came up from the ground.  In both instances when Donnie and Ricky came by, they never once asked for a service charge for providing their advice or for making the drive to my home.  Donnie later sent me an estimated quote of the work.  The price was REASONABLE and FAIR - it was not on the low side and it was not on the high side.  He was not looking to thump me on the head on the pricing while I was in a bad situation.  Ricky and his son came out on the scheduled date and began working right away.  What should have been one day job spanned to two days and the need for additional equipment (trailer and backhoe).  While there were some unexpected hiccups (at no fault to Cross County Plumbing) in making the repairs - again Donnie did not beat me up on the pricing - he was FAIR and offered to spit the cost of the additional equipment.  Ultimately, the repairs were completed and I am extremely satisfied with the work performed and with the costs.

Like most people, I was very worried about the costs and the amount of work associated with a major job like replacing a water line - But Cross County Plumbing alleviated my concerns immediately and I appreciate that.  It is not very often, at least in my experience, to find honest, reliable and fair plumbers.  I have saved Cross County Plumbing's business card and will definitely be contacting them in the future for any plumbing needs.  I am very thankful that none of the other plumbers I called before Cross County Plumbing picked up or returned my calls.

I'll also add throughout the whole experience - Donnie ALWAYS picked up my calls or retuned my calls with an hour or so.  It was never too long before I was able to get a status update of what was going on and when they would be coming, etc.

They were terrific. They took time with me over the phone when I called to troubleshoot and make sure it wasn't something I could fix myself, then walked me through shutting the water off, etc. They came out first thing the next morning for a leak under my kitchen sink.  They rechecked and found another issue, which they fixed.  Incredibly reasonable compared to other plumbers I contacted.  Would definitely use again.

I came across cross country plumbing information after searching for companies who could come and replace my main water line. I spoke with Donnie and he was very friendly and very informative right away, unlike the other companies that had to dispatch someone. Long story made short, I contacted Donnie on Monday morning around 7am and he was at my house before 8am. He quoted me a price half of what the other companies quoted and the next morning the work was started at the time he gave me and completed and completed a few hours later. Donnie and his crew were very professional and definitely men of their word. I will for sure call them for all of my plumbing and heating needs!!!

I called for a leak in the basement and Donny had someone come out the same day on a Sunday afternoon to fix it.  The plumber who came to the house solved the problem and even charged us the weekday rate (versus the higher weekend rate).  He also arrived within the estimated time.  Highly recommend for being honest, punctual, and dependable.

Kevin came out on a Saturday morning for a backed-up main line and resolved the problem very efficiently and professionally. Reasonable rates even for emergency work. Would not hesitate to call them again. 5 Stars.

I plan to continue to call Donnie and Cross Country Plumbing in the future.  The plumber was on time, introduced himself, and went right to work.  He was friendly and professional.  He even cleaned up after himself. The rusty metal pipe was replaced in no time and he was on his way.

I called with a really small job and was instead told that I didn't want them to come out and I could fix it myself, along with an explanation of how to do it.  Amazingly enough, I was actually able to fix it.  I will definitely use them again when we have a real problem.

Donnie and his team saved the day today with a last minute plumbing emergency.  I cannot say enough about how polite, professional and timely they were. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing plumbing services in the future!

I found Cross Country on Yelp when I had a plumbing emergency.  They were fast; they came in about an hour when our usual plumber said he would not be able to come until the next day.  They were fast, courteous and clean.  I could not be more pleased.  They are now my go-to company for anything having to do with plumbing.

Had a water supply pipe leak from the WSSC line to the house at my elderly parents' place.  We were referred to Donnie and his company who responded promptly and got right to work.  His crew did a great job.  They were focused on getting the job done properly rather than collecting a deposit or getting a signature on a contract first.  Very honorable and rare!  Will refer to others and move them to the top of the list of go-to contractors.

Full disclosure:  They haven't actually done any work for me yet, so this review is purely based on my interactions with them.

It's a rare occurrence to come across honest businessmen who actually want to save you money.  I had the pleasure of interacting with both Donnie and Ricky and they are both honest, helpful, and amazingly cared more about fixing an actual problem rather than making money.  Without getting into technical details, I have a pump connected to my furnace that pumps water out of the house.  With the recent drop in temperatures, the tube taking water out of the house kept freezing and water was collecting in my utility closet.  I sent requests for quotes to six different plumbing/hvac companies through Yelp; Donnie answered my email within an hour.  Donnie was very honest with me on the phone and set up a meeting to game plan.  He  worked around MY schedule, saying he didn't want me to have to cut out of work unnecessarily.  Amazing.  The next day, Ricky came bright and early to check out the situation.  In the half hour he was at my house, he provided three different solutions and ultimately told me to go with the free option first so we can see if it works.  He even told me the materials to buy at Home Depot and how to go about insulating the tube outside.  Curious, I asked for a quote for the paid options as well, just in case this free option didn't pan out.  The quote he provided me was literally $600 cheaper than another plumbing company in the area.  In the end, there wasn't even a service charge for coming out to assess the issue and providing me with his professional opinions...Ricky simply walked out of my house as cheerful as he came in.  If shit ever hits the fan with any plumbing problems, these are the guys I trust to call going forward.

Dominick (Donnie) sent a plumber named Kevin who snaked the drain pipe behind my kitchen sink. The work was performed quickly and fixed the problem by removing compacted detritus from the line. It took less than half an hour. I was very pleased with the service and work, but I was dismayed at the high price: $225.

I had a clogged garbage disposal and water was standing in the sink.  It was a Saturday and I was fairly sure I'd never get anyone here on the weekend.  I called Donnie and he was fantastic.  He sent Jim to my house and he was there within an hour of my phone call.  He knew exactly what to do and fixed the disposal right away.  I was so happy with Donnie and Jim.  Cross County is the only plumber I'll be using in the future.  I've already recommended them to two other people since Saturday.  Thank you Cross County Plumbing.

Donnie was prompt in responding to my calls. He walked me through over the phone to pin point the leak and determined it was not critical enough to warrant services over the weekend. Called Donnie back on Monday and he was able to fit me in his team's very busy schedule. Mike and David arrived later in the afternoon to have a look. They determined it was the kitchen drain line. They were very careful in having to cut out the drywall and tile in order to get to the leaking pipe. Mike decided to replace the entire copper pipe to the main sewage line but had to get some parts prior to the replacement. They returned later with the parts and successfully installed the new pvc drain line. They made it look like we were in an operating room. Mike being the surgeon and David handing him the right tools and fittings to repair the drain line. Great professional service. I will use Cross County Plumbing for my future plumbing needs. Highly recommended and fair pricing for services rendered.

Big Wow. You don't find customer service like this much anymore. Donnie was great, professional, responsive, educational, straight forward and worked with us to find the best cost effective solution. We were impressed from the get go. Anthony came to do the work, even on a Sunday, and was VERY impressive. So kind, knowledgeable, respectful, efficient, and good at his work. He even took the time to educate us on other plumbing issues, basically any question we could throw at him. Will DEFinitely refer them and use them again.

I'm giving them just four starts solely on the basis I didn't actually have them come out and perform any work.  I had a backed up sink on a Saturday morning.  I called them and quickly got a call back from Donnie who gave me steps to fix the problem on my own.  Rather than charge me time bs a half for weekend work, he was efficient, honest and very helpful!  When I actually have a problem I will certainly has them.

Ricky has a can-do, make-it-right attitude and approach. He and his guys always remove their shoes when the enter your home (a little detail that means a lot). They answer the phone, don't keep you waiting at home, and they do quality, clean work. Thanks, guys.

On Saturday August 15, 2015, I frantically called several plumbers listed on Yelp because of a burst pipe only to get we're too busy until I called Cross County Plumbing.  Donnie immediately put me at ease letting me know that he had a  plumber nearby.  Within a half hour, Richy was at our door ready to check out the problem and get to work.  After assessing the problem, he quickly came back with several options that would save us both time and money.  Even more importantly, he found a way to keep from damaging the tile in a newly finished bathroom.  His open and friendly nature going through the options sold us that we picked the right group to fix our bathroom.  He did a beautiful job in less time than expected.  He never let on that he was going off the clock when our call came in.  I would recommend this group to anyone who needs a great plumber.

All the yes! They just replaced our leaking 23 year old water tank (I know, I know... don't judge). The owner is very responsive, and was very patient with all of my questions. No upselling, and didn't speak to me like I was an idiot. The plumbers that arrived were very friendly and polite. They cleaned up behind themselves, and the whole think took less than two hours. They even took away my leaking relic!

I contacted cross county plumbing because we had a bad leak under our kitchen sink. I called their service number and was promptly called back. A technician came out that day and was friendly and polite. He quickly found the problem and fixed it within minutes. They gave me a fair price for the repair and checked the other connections to make sure we didn't have any other problems. Great service at fair prices - who could ask for more?

Responsive, Reliable and Reasonable!  I found them on Craigslist and could not be happier with the service I received.  They called back immediately, made an appointment that they kept and showed up on time, and not only fixed the problem but helped with some preventive insulating.  I had expected to spend 3 times more than they charged.  The plumber was polite, clean and respectful.  I am not wishing to need a plumber again soon, but if I did, I would call them instantly!!

Cross County Plumbing, Inc just completed our main water line replacement in Fairfax County.  I wanted to recommend them to Yelp users should others need this replacement or other plumbing repair work done (they also ran a new ice maker water line for us).  They are very competitively priced and gave us a lifetime warranty on labor and materials on this main line!   No other company that I know of stands this firmly behind their work on the main water line to a house!  They went straight in under our house and pulled out our old line and replaced it so as to be the most minimally invasive procedure.  We are out of town landlords and I had to do a LOT of searching online to find this honest company.  I worked through Donnie and he answered every question I had and followed up w/ me after pulling the proper permit, etc. and seriously, could not have been any nicer or more helpful.  I highly recommend him and Cross County!  Thought I would share my experience with others so added them to Yelp.com...they are a small company and generally work on word of mouth referrals.  Yelp is a unique site with reviews from ACTUAL customers so it is always one of the first places I go to separate the good guys from the bad guys.
