These guys are really great, when they called me back shortly after calling them, they ran me through some trouble shooting with our water heater, once that didn't work they came out the next day and found a broken part on it they fixed right there, they could have easily scammed me with a new water heater since ours was 16 years old, but they said they don't go bad that fast, and it was just the one broken part, really amazing honest guys!

Spoke to Paul on the phone to schedule the job. He was very nice and up front about how they charged their hourly rate (which includes travel time). Scheduled the job for a Monday but knew I needed service sooner rather than later. Called me on Thursday and said they had an opening sooner and was able to help out. Was very pleased that they remembered to call when a slot opened in their schedule. Tommy and his nephew came out. They diagnosed the problem (water softener) and were able to service the unit and train me on how to maintain it. Was glad they were honest about it all and didn't try to sell me a new unit. Then they went through my whole house and knocked out a few other things that I didn't even think of but turned out I needed. Even scrubbed the iron stains off a toilet. With contractors, I'm always suspicious that they're trying to upsell etc. Never once felt that way with them.  Customer for life.

They did great work, once I was able to get ahold of them.

I needed the main backflow preventer replaced on my yard irrigation system. The work needed to be performed by a certified backflow plumber. Hayden was able to do it. My issue is with the customer experience.

I called the main number and spoke to a lady who was unable to provide me a quote for the service. She said I had to speak directly to Paul. He promised to promptly give me a quote. I did not hear from him. Instead, I had to contact him 2 more times to get him to send someone out for the visit.

They need a better front of the house. The person who answers the phone should be able to give me a better answer than, you need to talk to Mr. Hayden.

Responsive and got the job done. We had a hard time getting someone to clean the septic tank and returning our calls. Hayden came highly recommended and were easy to reach. Thank you!

This company is Amazing!

Moving to Calvert County we never had to deal with Wells and Septic Systems ect. We have really hard water that ruined our Element within the first year we had our home built. These professionals came and installed a water softener and Water treatment system. We have no complaints only good things to say. The Father is a kind and friendly guy who will take the time to answer all questions and explain whatever it is we ask.

We will be lifelong customers and I give all high ratings!

Had a septic drain field installed and needed a plumber to move plumbing about a foot higher in basement. took 31/2 hours and billed me $1600!!!
Stay away from this rip off.

These are the real' plumbing professionals.  

They completely understand all types and aspects of plumbing.  They let you know what has to be done before the job.  They do the job right the first time and not two or three call backs.  I have seen them do work in my community for many years now and they are the only plumber that I would refer to our members.  They coordinate with us for water shutoffs and always can be relied on to communicate what is going on.

As good as it gets! Ordered a refrigerator for the house only to find out that we couldn't locate the shutoff valve. Turns out it was under the house and the past homeowner had run plastic water line across the crawlspace to the sloppy hole near the fridge.  They had copper run properly and professionally, new valve under the sink installed, and everything ready to be hooked up within an hour or so. Walked us through the work that was performed and answered any questions we had.

They provided options, basically a less expensive fix to get by versus overhauling the mess under the house.  We opted for the permanent fix and had things repaired as they should have been the first time.  Very, very polite and professional crew.  If you need an honest plumber who will take care of you or treat you like family.. this should be your only call.

EDIT: I'm not going to lower my review because the quality of work is top notch. No issues after a couple of years. However.. We needed additional work and reached out to schedule an appointment. The kind guy who answered insisted that they won't drive this far out. I explained that they have before and id pay whatever distance fee may be required, but he refused stating that it's his business and he's never traveled this far in the past. I'm currently staring at my receipt from the business 2 years ago next to that of another plumber I had to call because these guys clearly didn't want the business. Very disappointing.. I'd rather them be honest and just say they are too busy.

Had work performed (minor things) that were done well but they were very, very expensive.   Tried to schedule another service (not emergency, but desired service) and it took months to get a response to schedule.  When I finally got an estimate it was ridiculous.   The cost of the part to be installed was several hundred dollars, and the estimate was over $3K.    When I asked to explain the quote, they were evasive and upset about not just continuing with the work.   It broke down to a huge amount of money per hour for the labor.  They may do good work, but the cost was not even reasonable.

The good: this is a family-owned business.  They are friendly, very very courteous, and explain things well.  They are very upfront about what the service would cost and their weekend rates (time and half) and that they charge for travel time. Very informative and very courteous. As a small business, they seem to have the business side running smoothly.  They came when called, they were prompt, they were communicative.
The bad: Had them trouble-shoot a water pressure problem which they were not equipped to solve.  I appreciated the diagnosis and trouble-shooting.  I used the information to call a well pump service plumber that did handle that problem.  Paul Hayden expressed the opinion to me that I needed a new well to solve the problem and said several times that he was not affiliated with any other company. But after Paul's service, I began receiving unsolicited calls from well digging services and planners.  Someone gave out my contact information to well digging services and indicated to them that I needed a new well.

Helped us diagnose the problem over the phone, after our attempt to snake the drain produced no results. Turned out to be the septic. Sent someone right over, cleaned the large septic that was well overdue. Even discounted the price a little for us. I highly recommend them.

I could speak volumes about Paul Hayden's family and their company...
Over the snap of freezing cold weather we just had, a pipe broke in several places at my 90 year old Mother's house and I called plumbers for an hour and the only one that responded to my message was Paul's company. They were at our house within an hour of our call.

Excellent service!  I had several issues with stoppages and water pressure that needed to be fixed. Tommy was able to fix every issue, and even fixed the faucet I had taken apart due to sediment build up after a well pipe issue.  They were even a bit earlier than expected, and called to let me know when they were on the way.  This is a family owned business, very courteous and do great work, and I will definitely use them again.

These guys are great, friendly, professional and actually suggest things you can do so that they do NOT have to come back.

I had a mystery leak, which the two very smart, very efficient, and very kind Hayden plumbers figured out briskly within the one-hour minimum. Hayden's is top-notch and was recommended by friends, so I expected them to be expensive, but they found the problem fast, because they're smart and efficient, so they actually cost MUCH less than the Jiffy estimate. I didn't get an estimate from them, but their reputation was so strong, I called them. They have a big enough staff to be available really fast, too. had them replace a existing dishwasher,tech was there for a little over a hour. was charged 275.00 for the labor. would never think to call them for anything major or time consuming!!!
