Dave rocks. But seriously, it's hard to find quality people/companies these days, so we really appreciated Dave's professionalism and quality craftsmanship. He took care of several electric issues throughout the house and found some other issues which some folks in the past had overlooked. Thank you Dave!

I called McGuire Electric & left a message that one of our bathroom fixtures weren't working. He called me back right away & even though he was very busy that week, he said he'd stop by after his last appt on Friday. He was true to his word, was very friendly ( he gets extra points for being so personable at the end of the day on a Friday!) & fixed our bathroom fixture & my son now has light in his bathroom! I put his card up on the board- he will definitely be the one I call for any future electrical needs.

I can't praise Victor and his team enough.  We moved to Moraga to an older home and needed a lot of electrical upgrades, wiring, and replacement of light fixtures.  Victor gave us an itemized estimate, but ended up doing all these little things without extra charges.  While we were doing our reno, when he was around he would help us out with little tasks and making sure the other contractors were doing the right thing.  He's a stickler for perfection and we think of him as a friend.  Definitely recommend him - if you can book him because he's so busy!

I used Five or Free for a sub panel upgrade in our apartment. These guys were really, really good. They were very professional. They showed up on time, they provide an accurate quote and when it came time to do the work they again showed up on time and did a really, really good job. When the inspector from the city came out to look at the work, we opened the electrical panel and he was very impressed with how well the work was done.He was showing his Trainee and telling him that this was much better than what he normally sees. He remarked that it was great craftsmanship. The technician who did this work was Job Braun. So if you use five or free and get a technician named Job, you can be sure that it's going to pass inspection and be work well done.

We needed someone immediately and owner Juan Marin was there to help!  We called several companies but couldn't get anyone to come asap. High Power Electric took care of us immediately!  When he left we received a detailed explanation what was going on. We will call High Power Electric for all of our electrical needs because Juan was there when we needed him.  Thank you Juan for answering our call!  He's definitely the best at what he does.

Although the work performed by the onsite staff was good, the office could use some help with the bookkeeping. I tried several times to get a response and receipt plus estimate for possible future work, and have had no luck getting either one after phone call and online request.

I need to give Roger credit for helping out on an electrical problem personally.  It was just a couple days before Christmas, and long story short, I ended up causing one of our circuit breakers to trip several times before it finally gave out.  I called around to a few electricians, and while many were helpful, most were busy and couldn't come by until the following week.  But Roger called me back shortly after I left a message, we talked things out over the phone and I sent him some photos and video showing what the problem was.  He warned he was light on tools, but he'd give it the old college try with a breaker he already had in possession.

He came out immediately, and 15 minutes later the breaker was replaced and things were working again.  It was expensive, but not overly expensive, and Roger didn't charge me an emergency fee or cost of the new breaker itself.  I felt he was very, very fair.

Many thanks to Roger.  Great updates and communication, and most importantly great skills in fixing things for us, so we could have a nice holiday.  We'll call him again for future electrical needs.

I often hear about construction work exceeding schedule and initial estimated cost. My recent experience found that untrue at least as Handyman Heroes. On time and even under estimated cost by 2K. The workers are professional, clean, considerate, and like-able. The job was a complete bathroom remodel and the crew could not have been more cordial, informative, and easy to work with.
Two hard working guys showed up on time everyday, they worked so hard, cleaned up everyday when they left the site.

After being told by another electrical co. that one thing we wanted wired would be impossible, and quoting us a fairly high price for another part of the job, we called Bill Henry for an estimate.  He not only spent a lot of time considering the impossible work we desired, but came up with several workable options to work around the problem at an affordable cost.  The work was done quickly, at a reasonable price, and we couldn't be happier. His electricians were very professional and personable.  We highly recommend his company!

We had a problem with an electrical circuit.  Mark (the owner) came out on a Sunday and got the circuit working within a half hour.  He charged one fourth   of what another company quoted.  An added plus was that he was one of the few companies that would come out on a Sunday.  Most electricians are closed on Sunday.   He was friendly and I would definitely hire him again.  He is new to Yelp so not too many reviews but do not let that stop you from giving his company a call when a repair is needed.

Loved these guys. Super responsive. Super professional. Will definitely recommend them to anyone looking to put in an EV charger.

5 Stars No 10 Stars, this company is amazing!!! Upgraded my panel from 100 amp to 200 amp. Sounds like an easy project. Well it wasn't, due to PG&E. Scott and his crew were amazing!!! They walked us through the entire process. There was always some available for any questions we had, and to top it off when we had an urgent issue they had a 30 minute response time!! I would love to tell you the whole story but that would take way too long. If you need an electrician CALL THEM!!!

Direct has done several jobs for us since that first fixture installation (can lights, service panel) and continue to be awesome. Thank guys!

Literally the best contractor I've worked with on a project. We had an emergency where there was smoke coming from our EV charging port. He responded immediately to my request, and came over to fix it within 30 minutes. Whole project took about an hour, and he was extremely professional and clear about explaining each step until everything was fixed, and both the outlet was replaced and the breaker was upgraded. On top of it all, he charged a very reasonable price that was easy to pay via an e-mail invoice. Will definitely be calling again for any future electrical projects!
