Technician Rafael arrived on time he came for a kitchen sink clogged .Rafael performed a full plumbing inspection in my crawlspace to better understand my plumbing system he discovered that my kitchen line was leaking in my crawlspace for quite some time .
He was courteous and shared videos and and pictures of my drain lines.
I agreed with the estimate to replace my entire drain system Rafael kept me updated throughout the whole project.
Overall I'm am very happy with the outstanding level of service that was provided to me and my family.

TJ at pacific coast services saved my house this past weekend. Our septic overflowed and basement flooded on New Year's Eve. I found PCH on Google. TJ came within an hour and spent 12-14 hours a day Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and did some crazy things to stop & redirect the overflow. He and his colleagues Juan and Ernesto made multiple Home Depot runs, built two 100+ yard pvc pipes to carry water out of the property to safe runoff areas, Jerry rigged a wild sump Pump system to pump water faster than it was flowing in, identified and documented the issues so I could resolve them later, and more.

All while being a great dude ... TJ showed up early and stayed late, was very patient & communicative with a home owner (me) who wanted to be involved in all the details and decision making...

Could not recommend or appreciate anyone more highly.

Omar and Jeremy came in the evening and were very kind and personable, even after having a whole day of
clients. They troubleshot why the heat was eneven in my house and showed me how to work my fireplace properly. Very professional!

Simple storm drain issue, has some roots between clean out and the exposed drain in my dry well. Two yahoos show up, that hardly know which end of their snake is the business end. They quote me $1200, snake the line, pull out a few roots and tell me there is nothing else they can do. Then charge me 3.5% on top for paying on a credit card. They don't have a different snake that can clear out the roots without me paying several more hundred dollars and signing a waiver that if they cut my pipe in the process it isn't their fault. I can't ever recommend this company. They just don't have expertise.

I called Pacific Coast Home Services in an emergency with my entire house including all bathrooms backed up.  TJ was the foreman that was sent with Juan and Carlos.  They were all very knowledgeable and quickly identified the issue as a main sewer break in the crawl space.  They referred a restoration company and they came to clean up the mess the next morning.  As soon as the are was clean, TJ came again with Juan and Carlos in the afternoon and worked into the early evening to replace an old cast iron section with ABS and installed a convenient clean out to avoid issues in the future.  They had to make a lot of improvisations to make a good fit as the previous plumbers had cut some corners.  They also stayed late to make sure everything was working properly and answered all my questions.  It was clear that they wanted to do the job right and cared about me as their customer.  
I did get some quotes tat were a little cheaper but I felt that this crew knew what they were doing and cared about the project and I am happy that I made the right choice.  It was a terrible place to be without the ability to use any water at our house with 2 kids.  But I am happy that Pacific Coast and TJ and his crew resolved the situation in less that 36 hours and I feel confident that aside from unforeseen circumstances I am in great place with the plumbing in the house.

Andrew was awesome, arrived as scheduled, made a professional introduction, and quickly diagnosed multiple outlet issues.  He clearly explained the issue in a manner I could understand, obviously a very knowledgeable pro.  Also, I felt very comfortable due to his polite and friendly manner through the process.  He gave three options, and discussed the variables with honestly.  Then he helped me get an expeditious repair appointment based on my availability, and gave me his followup contact info in case anything fell through.

Extremely satisfied! Also have had great experience with several other pros from the company.

Complimentary electrical check resulted in suggestions that I needed $4500 (minimum) worth of work for some tarnishing in my electronic panel. As a metal arts major in college, this was bulls#!t. Also irritating that scare tactics were employed telling me that my electrical system could fail soon. I can imagine how some vulnerable people would be motivated to have this unnecessary work done. Plus they wanted $450 to replace a thermostat that was a straight forward replacement. I paid the discounted charge (to show up) of $45 and hired another electrician, who charged me $99 and was out the door in 30 minutes and that included a tutorial on the program.

To respond to the comment that I am not actually a past customer, I'm sharing photos of texts with Joseph Rogers at Pacific Coast, as well as auto texts they sent me when they were coming out. I was indeed a past customer. If you don't like my review, don't discredit me by suggesting I'm lying. Just own the errors.

Beware the promises of the sales guy. Don't be like me - do your due diligence. If you want efficiency rebates via BayREN for improvements, make sure to check the BayREN site first and use one of their partners for your project. The Pacific Coast sales guy promised me that they help you get all the rebates, but that's not true and he's not capable of doing that. when I asked him about it, after showing him that the site says the contractor needs to be the one to submit the paperwork, he said he'd talk to his manager and then ghosted me. #notsurprised.
The actual work was adequate. I had to have them come back to finish the electrical. The first guy they sent simply looked at the electrical and left, as if he was never told what he was supposed to be doing (even though the original installers took pictures to share with him). And then no one showed for the 2nd appt. Finally, on the 3rd scheduled time, the work got done.

These guys came by and said a fix of some overhead lights not working was going to require going through dry wall and running a bunch of new wires. Quoted us over $5k. Another certified, well reviewed firm, electrician came by and checked a nearby socket and fixed the whole thing for the $150 cost of a service call in 30 mins. Either they have low quality electricians or they are pumping people for money but this was inexcusable. Some other reviews here suggest same experience if being quoted $4-5k for what ended up being a simple job someone else did for $100-200. Looks like a clear pattern of bad behavior. I'm staying away.

The house only had 1 outdoor outlet that was way in the back of the house. Quite inconvenient. It also stopped working when we needed it most. So we decided to drop in 2 more outdoor outlets to supply all our outdoor power needs!

I called up pacific coast home services and they sent someone out the next day to look around and give me a quote. They came in assessed the area came up with a great solution and gave me the quote all within 30min. Then told me they can send someone in the next morning.

Chris texted me the next morning when he would arrive and came right on time. We took a few minutes to go over the plan then Chris knocked the job out of the park! He put everything exactly where we needed it in a timely manner. The outlets came out looking beautiful.

Speed, quality, and great responsive service was my experience with Pacific Coast Home Services. Definitely would recommend. To be honest, probably will seek their services again too.

Big shout out to Chris for coming in and doing an awesome job! Really happy with how everything turned out.

My orignal review was 1-star because they said they needed to send someone out to give me a QUOTE for a SIMPLE outlet install and on top of that charge me $100 for the QUOTE. Ridiculous!
I contacted many other companies that gave a quote over the phone or sent it email, I then selected one of those companies to complete the work for less than the price of the fee that Pacific Coast Home Services charges to provide a quote. lol

The one star remains. But let me respond to Tricia (business owner). Your comment is nonsensical. Its your issue that you use a call center that is uneducated in the trade rather than someone knowledgable. Further I'd recommend you do some research on your competitors, there are MANY legitimate companies that give estimates over the phone. I'd list them for you but that would make it too easy + I don't want to get flagged.

They wanted to charge $250 to just show up on a weekend - which does not cover any bit of service. It's an expensive area but jeez, but should at least cover an hour or two of labor for that steep cover charge.

Most irresponsible and unethical company I've ever worked with. Decieded to install ac unit with them after receiving quote and in house consultation. During the consultation, we specifically asked questions on proper location for the condenser so it is within regulation. But after installation, we were told the condenser is NOT at the correct location, the distance from the wall is not in cordinance within the city's regulation). When we contacted Pacific Coast, the rep said since we didn't have them apply the city permit, he didn't bother to pay attention on that part. The company refused to respond to our emails or correct this mistake. Never resolved the issue. Plus, we asked for a powerful yet low noise unit, the one they installed is not only loud but not efficient for our house.

I booked a free consultation to fix one of my lights that was not working. I recently moved into my new home so had no idea whether it was even working properly in the first place. The two gentlemen that came to my home for the consultation were Juan Carlos Murillo and Angel Vargas. They were absolutely the best. They came in and noticed I kind of knew what I was doing with lighting installations. They gave a quick glance at the light that was not working and were immediately able to identify the root of the problem. They then told me this was a super easy fix and gave me two options: (1) pay them like $300 and they would fix the problem for me; or (2) they can verbally walk me through how to fix it because it's a super easy fix and they wouldn't charge me a penny! I was a little suspicious at first but they told me it was for a liability reason (if they touch my light and accidentally break it, then it would be on them).

So Juan and Angel thoroughly explained the problem and walked me through step by step on how to connect/disconnect which wires. Less than 10 minutes later, my light started to work like a magic! Again, disclaimer that I knew a little what I was doing. I would highly suggest you let professionals like Juan and Angel take over if you absolutely have no idea what you're doing.

Overall, I was very satisfied with their attitude, quality, timeliness and service. I even insisted on paying them afterwards but they refused. If Juan and Angel are a representation of the unmatched service quality at Pacific Coast Home Services, then I would recommend you contact Pacific Cost Home Services for all of your future electrical needs. Ask for Juan and Angel if possible. 10 star out of 5 stars for this company. Highly recommended.

Juan Galvan our service technician was detail oriented, explained the issues well, and kindly responded to our questions. He repaired our hvac on the spot and it runs like a top now.  We would use their service again and recommend him to a friend.

Absolutely a nightmare. They scammed me to replace my current outdoor LEDs with super expensive lighting that had a lot of features. None worked. This happened a year before pandemic. Struggled to get them to fix it. Never did and still haven't.

This company looked great as I've seen their vans driving up and down in the Bay Area so when I had a heating and air conditioning issue I was happy  to call them.
The technician came and ran diagnosis and let me know that a wire needs to be replaced and it will cost $1,200(WOW).
I called 2 more companies to check as it didn't make sense why a simple wire will be that much. The two companies showed me a completely different problem and solved issue with $60!!!!!!!!!!!
I called the nice lady who booked the appointment and she transferred me to some guy, don't remember the name. He was awful! He started the conversation by saying WE DON'T NEED YOUR BUSINESS, I was shocked as I wan't that angry in the beginning but the way he attacked me right away for no reason I was shocked, it didn't stop there, he cursed me! unbelievable he actually cursed me and screamed at me.

I regret the minute I called them and I hope everyone will read the reviews and understand how they work.

I set up an appointment for a technician to come out and give me a quote for AC Installation and possible new ducting in Oakland.  I spent time on the phone setting up this appointment ahead of time, providing my address, confirming my location, and explaining what services we were interested in.

I received a call from the technician thirty minutes before the start of my appointment window on the day of my scheduled appointment, and was told that they do not really service my area (Oakland), and that they would rather not come all the way out to provide an estimate if I was still in the process of gathering other quotes.  I was told that once I had finished gathering other quotes, to let them know and they would match whatever the lowest quote was.  

That's all well and good, but honestly what is the point of that?  If I already have a quote that I'm good with, why would I then take it to a different company that couldn't even be bothered to keep an appointment THEY made and CONFIRMED, and inspect my house for themselves.  If you have a good, established relationship with this company, I suppose that could make sense, but I'm a brand new customer and if this is any indication of how the service will be, count me out.

I am not happy that we blocked time off of our work calendars today, moved items around to provide access to the crawl space, and essentially had our time wasted for no reason.

Came home to a broken heater during the recent cold spell.  I didn't know if it was our heat pump, furnace or thermostat.  I started to look around and saw a blown fuse in the furnace but it kept blowing when I replaced it.

Called Pacific Coast and their only availability was after 4 pm, which triggers an emergency service charge.  I couldn't find anyone else and I needed it done before the family got back from vacation.  I scheduled it and within minutes they called back with an earlier appointment with no emergency service charge!  I'll take it!!

Pablo came out and very methodically tracked down the problem.  It took a little while, through no fault of his, and he got it working perfectly!  He was very professional and polite, kept his mask on the whole time and did a fantastic job!!

I highly recommend Pacific Coast Home Services!

They record your calls. They don't even work for me yet and they're already treating me like a freakin' FBI suspect.  

I sent them a picture of the problem but supposedly they couldn't see it because they claimed they didn't have access to their own yelp account!

Wanted me to identify what kind of fittings I had.  How am I supposed to know? I'm not a plumber and that's why I sent a detailed and labelled picture.  

I asked them to send the picture to the plumbers so they would know?  No, supposedly they don't have the capability of sending pictures to a plumber's phone!!!!

Oh and they would charge me to even bid on the work.  

Too many red flags. Hard pass.

My husband and I needed someone to install two outlets, one in each of our bathrooms, as well as one outlet in our crawl space for a chest freezer. Each on their own dedicated circuit. He sent requests via Yelp to several businesses including this one. Their estimate was extremely high - $3500 - so we didn't hire them. We went with another company that quoted $1300.

That didn't stop Pacific Coast from charging $89 for simply coming out to give an estimate - something no other contractor has done before in my recollection.

Additionally, we received several invoices for this charge via email, SMS, and the mail, indicating that they would send it to collections if we didn't call to pay over the phone - but it took weeks to finally get through to someone on the phone, as the number in the notice goes straight to voicemail 100% of the time. We finally got through to their weekend answering service by calling the regular business number.

Carlos, Jaime and Richie are Great!
These electricians that I took a chance on saved me and my roommate's life!
Jaime came over and diagnosed part of the problem. He didn't try to get me to panic but ensured that everything would be taken care of and that it was a good thing that I called.
Carlos and Richie skipped lunch under Carlos's advice. They knew this needed to be taken care of.
To state the problem, there were several outlets and lights in my house that wouldn't turn on because of an outlet that had burnt wires inside the wall that looked totally destroyed!
Both Carlos and Richie explained things in a manner that I could understand and stated very clearly that it could have turned into a fire!
Carlos also knew that I have a tight schedule because I work the graveyard shift so he made me his first priority.
Carlos is knowledgeable but very down-to-earth. He understands things that most people don't about electrical but doesn't flaunt it. He even took the time to have a fun conversation after the job was done!
These guys are awesome! Everything was fixed in less than 2 hours and  now I have dependable electricians that I can count on!
I will never forget this! Thank you so much to Carlos, Jaime, and Richie!

We reached out to replace our smoke detectors (reaching end of life, annoyingly sounding off periodically).  They scheduled us for the very next morning, and Richard showed up right in his designated time slot. He was courteous and knowledgeable.  He diagnosed the situation quickly, and had replaced the whole system in no time. He was so good that we asked him to fix another electrical problem we were having with a light switch (which he also did quickly and efficiently).  Strongly recommend.  Thanks Richard.

Needed a refrigerant recharge - they told me on the phone that the $89 diagnostic fee will be applied against the repair.

Appointment set up was easy, but once the tech Adrian arrived everything started going south quickly..

I told him I need a recharge, but he wanted to check, so he cut insulation on one of the pipes about 4 long(never seen this before!!!??)...few mins later went on to state what I already told him - that I need a recharge.

Instead of promptly quoting me, he went on to give me a sales pitch about how techs should get paid more etc..there are not too many good techs in the area, other companies techs are not trained/re-trained enough...I already started sensing that he was setting me up for a high quote..

Then he hit me with the numbers $735 for 6-8lbs of 410a refrigerant..that works out to $92-$122/lb of 410a!!!! I decisively asked him to wrap up, since I knew it should cost no more than $20-$30/lb..he started to get very defensive and arguing with me about prices..like Im lucky to be getting these prices, everybody charges these prices etc etc.. at some point he even said, do u think I should be paid like somebody flipping burgers - at that point I told him there was no point in continuing the conversation and have the office invoice me for the $89...he insisted he do the billing, I really wasn't even comfortable handing him my credit card after the way the conversation was going - but I let him charge it anyway...$89 for 15-20mins of work..or non-work in this case, not bad - and I don't think anyone made that much flipping burgers! So not sure how he drew that comparison.

Overall - a very negative experience, the outrageous pricing was part of it, but the defensiveness of the tech was another part of it as well - he told me several times that he is constantly retraining, well some retraining on customer interfacing is definitely in order!

If the customer doesn't like your pricing, either offer better/reasonable pricing or just let them do their own thing!

Also checked my surveillance tapes to review what he was doing and noticed that he kept leaning with his body weight on one of the pipes to get up...Im just hoping he didn't damage that pipe and cause a leak that didn't exist in the first place..

Btw if you Google R410a, you'll see several buying options at ~$100 for 25lbs!!!! So $4/lb, - their cost is probably even lower buying in bulk.

So, all you yelpers who just need an AC recharge, call several companies, ask them BEFORE they send out their tech what they charge per lb of refrigerant..and save yourself some time, money and a headache!!

Interesting all the years I have used this sight I always had quotes. And I have come across some very high standard companies. Huge shout out to to Juan from this team.  They replaced our furnace back in March 2020 and were able to come back for a warranty check-up this past month.  He provided advice on what to troubleshoot, gave me his direct line to let him know if there were any further problems, and was very friendly throughout everything.  Thanks to this team, our heating is working great.

Pacific Coast Home Services recently completed a AC installation in my house. It was a very challenging job, where there was no existing ducting and fragile wall plastering throughout the house. Many of the vendors I talked to wouldn't touch the project as it was far too complicated to be an in-and-out job. Ray came and walked the site with me multiple times and came up with a clever and creative solution that was not overly intrusive with the house details but would be functional.

There were several different technicians on the project but Noah and Patrick were the primary on the site. Every day they did a fantastic job cleaning up and being careful in the house. The job was completed on time, within budget and works great. I can say that I feared to have issues along the way but I was quite delighted in the end product and service.

I would recommend the crew to do an AC installation. A+ from my experience.

Huge shout-out to both Adrian Urena - the technician and Pacific Coast Electric Heating and Air.

Just when the air quality in the San Francisco Bay Area decided to turn abysmal recently, my AC decided to quit working.  I called in HVAC companies and most of them had 1 - 2 week wait times for coming out to diagnose the problem.  Pacific Coast was the only one able to see me in a couple of days.  

The tech, Adrian, was competent, punctual and service-oriented.  He quickly diagnosed the problem and provided me a transparent estimate for the work.  I made a counter offer; he got that approved with his manager the next day and immediately fixed my AC.  He has a great equipment-side manner as we spoke about the weather, HVAC training, the Warriors, election and voting!

I was also impressed with the professionalism of Pacific Coast.  From their friendly human-centered customer service calls, to confirmatory phone calls to timely text messages with the service window, ETA, picture, and ratings of the technician, Pacific makes getting a service done a breeze.  They honor their quote for 30 days once issued and roll the service charge over towards repair if you hire them. I had two light switches that weren't working right, one not working at all, the other inconsistently.

Richard came and figured out both quickly and fixed them and went above and beyond to make sure they won't have issues for a long time. My lights work great now. He was at my house for just over and hour. Would be glad to recommend him to others.

We had some breakers that would trip and we were unable to identify the issue. I called Pacific Coast Home services seeking their help. Richard Castenada arrived within the 2 hour service window neatly dressed and wearing a mask and shoe covers. Richard was very knowledgeable and explained the issue.  He then fixed the issue using supplies he had already in his toolbox by replacing the breakers for us. I'd definitely recommend (and hire again) Richard Castenada from Pacific Home Services for your electrical needs!

Incredible customer service, knowledgable repair team (Juan and Pablo, both great) and excellent communication via text messaging on appointment reminders and technician schedules. I had an odd request for the second story of the townhouse I rent:  I needed an outlet properly grounded (for the sake of having a proper hookup for grounded sleep, an Earthing alternative). This project was really important to me.

Richard arrived within the timeframe I requested; he was prompt and professional, realistic, and jumped right in with assessing the situation with our outlets. Not only did he explain in detail what he saw happening with the electrical -- he also took the time to sit down with me and brainstorm a few creative options for how the job could best be executed, where it seemed there'd be only one way to go about the grounding rod installation I needed.

Unfortunately for me, after he spoke with his manager and we concluded there would be no economic way to see the project through. That said, I was impressed with how both Richard and his team handled the situation. I would definitely recommend these folks and will look them up again in the future when I need to hire.

I really was impressed with the professionalism of office staff in setting up an estimate for a new AC condenser.  Also, the technician who came to do the estimate notified me that he was on his way and got me a professional estimate (that spelled everything out) immediately.  He was very responsive to my emails.

They gave me the best priced estimate (Landlord Special) and if they had an available install date sooner, I would have gone with Pacific Coast.

I will definitely contact them the next time I have a HVAC need.

Totally Unprofessional. Don't waste your time!!! We contacted them for an estimate on a home rewiring for a house we are buying. They scheduled a time and even sent a text reminder/confirmation with a 2 hour window. After driving 90 min there and waiting over an hour into the time window they called to say that they do not service the area. WTF??? They knew the address when they scheduled and confirmed but had no problem wasting our time. Since I was angry they said they would have a manager call me, not to clear things up but to explain why they don't service that area, as if that matters.

Called because my space heater, kept tripping the fuses and I knew I needed to update the panel in our house a while ago so this was the day!
It turned out to be a huge job, rewiring the whole house plus add some plugs throughout. The estimate was significant, 10k plus, and the first guy told me he could do it all in one day and he could start the next day!
I was impressed. it turned out that would never happen. My whole house was broken open and they said they had to come back the next week.
I said, no way! I singed this quote with the guarantee of a one day job.
And after 5 calls with there sales team from the assistant to ,I think, the boss, they pulled 2 other guys from different jobs to finish everything that day. Not with one bad word, as it may sound, but normal respectful communication.
The 5 star rating is only because of these great guys who did this huge job! They worked a 12 hour day with a smile and delivered excellent work.
I would definitely recommend, but make a very clear agreement.

I really liked the fact that they sent me an email/text showing me who was going to show up at my place.  Richard Castenada was my electrician and he was super friendly but also very professional and knowledgeable as well.  

He identified and resolved the problem quickly and was top notch in every respect.  If you need an electrician, I would HIGHLY recommend you ask for Richard :)

We needed some major residential electrical rewiring done, and Justin and Steven from PCE have done an outstanding job. They are knowledgeable, professional and respectful. They did a great job of briefing us each morning with the plan for the day, and each evening with an update on their progress.

It was a challenge with our old house's wiring, but they did a beautiful and tidy job, and kept their cool and professionalism throughout the challenges.

PCE provided a project manager, Susanna, as our point of contact throughout the project. We are happy that we chose PCE for this major project.

Michael was fantastic. Arrived on time, wore booties, and was such a pro. He was here for two hours to fix our issue and do their full house safety walkthrough that's no cost. I was blown away by how thorough he was and how he answered all my questions.

I called Pacific Coast Electricians because a section of my House had lost power. Richard arrived promptly and did a detailed assessment of my electrical system. He did a complete troubleshoot that uncovered a lot of problems. He explained everything that he did and kept me informed every step of the way. I ended up having to get a new panel because the old one was melting my breakers. I now have a beautiful, top of the line Leviton panel. It seems very high-tech and came with fire protection. Richard did a great job installing this. He worked very hard and was always available to update me on my insurance claim. Kudos to all in the office who assisted me as well. Pacific Coast was worth every penny. I am glad I made that initial call!

Oh my goodness...where do I begin??? After years of sticking with one electrician, who was NEVER available or reliable, I decided to do an internet search, seeking help. Pacific Coast Electricians caught my attention...so, I called and booked an appointment that very day!!! I received a phone call 15 minutes prior to my two hour window, that my electrician was on his way to my home.
Richard Castaneda arrived five minutes early!!! After introducing himself, he went to work, finding the problem and resolution ... in a very timely manner. Needless to say, we have a new, reliable, and brilliant electrician. I have Richard scheduled for more work that I've put off over the years...because I felt that I had to prioritize areas of our house that seriously needed attention (because of my old, unreliable electrician)...not any more!!! If you are looking for professionals who can solve your impossible electrical problems, these are the guys. I have had electrical issues in my apartment for years now and every other electrician has not even been able to diagnose, let alone fix the issues with my transformers and lights. After trying pacific coast electricians, Francis arrived on time and figured out the issues in about 15 minutes. It took some time to order the parts but these guys know exactly what they are doing.

Rudy and Reggie did a great job replacing broken components and explained what they were doing every step of the way. They took their time to make sure everything was done correctly and safely. They were very friendly and provided more information than I could ever ask for.

Bottom line, if you're tired of being told that your problems cannot be fixed; give these guys a call. It is totally worth it.

Edit: I had a few more lighting issues that popped up since I last used pacific coast electricians. Unrelated to the last job. They were able to identify and fix the problem right away. Eddy and Manny did a great job and even went the extra mile to replace some other lights free of charge. I will be using pacific coast electricians for all my electrical needs in the future.

My furnace broke down this winter and I put in two calls to highly recommended service providers.  One didn't call me back, but Pacific Coast did, and I'm so glad they did.  Noah provided a fair quote of my four options. They also dropped off heaters to get us through the night.  Then the next day, Joseph and Ruben expertly resolved the situation and professionally installed my new furnace, and all the while, clearly communicated throughout the entire process.  This was important because of course this all happened when I was not able to be on site!  I needed someone I could trust.  I found them all to be well trained ethical and professional in every way.  I recommend them to all who need furnace work.

Customer service was great. The appointment set up was easy and someone came out to give me a quote. The reason I'm leave a review though is because the quote was insanely high compared to the other ones I've had, and I felt that they were dishonest in why it was high.
I'm getting recessed lights installed, and was quoted $65 per light, just for the light itself. They claimed that they used the best quality lights, and recommend that I use it because it has cans and temperature sensor so the light doesn't burn out from being too hot. But they are LED lights! When do they ever burn out. Also my place simply did not have space for cans, but they didn't  properly point that out; I would have had to take out studs or insulation to fit those huge cans in. Then I was quoted $2000 to patch up and paint the whole that they were going to cut. Overall was just super overpriced, and since they contract the work out anyways, I recommend shopping around with this company.

I am very disappointed in this company.  We had them out to inspect a faulty outlet.   The technician informed us that the circuit breaker was old and should be replaced (originally quoted 7k, but settled on 6.  The work was done.  The next morning half of the outlets in the house weren't working, presumably the circuit breaker.   Pacific came back.   Then the technician informed us that the whole house should be re-wired to the tune of 70k.   They said the house had a fire danger and probably wouldn't pass inspection otherwise.   It also appeared that he looked up the home's value on Zillow and said, well, the house is worth 2m....  Keep in mind everything is working fine at this point.  I told them just to finish getting the circuit breaker signed off by the city and we will not be using their services in the future.   Only reason for 2 stars is they responded quickly when things weren't right after the new panel was installed.   Oh, and the house did pass inspection (except for needing larger exterior house numbers, which we will have someone else do).    Be careful if you hire this company unless you have unlimited funds and don't mind being taken for a ride.

I hired Pacific Coast to replace my 2 wall heaters with new units as well as the ducts from the heaters to the roof. I also had them blow insulation into my attic. By bundling that into the heater work, they gave me a very nice discount. I especially appreciate tech/salesman David Earl Glover who took several hours to explain the pros and cons of wall heaters vs. central heating. He did a thorough inspection of my heaters and my attic. We signed the contract on a Friday and the heaters/ducts were installed on Monday - and with permits, too! The techs who came to the house were Covid protected, were knowledgeable, thorough and personable. They cleaned up after themselves as well. Communication with their office personnel was always pleasant. Mr. Glover let me know that if I had any questions or issues I could call him at any time. I am really happy with Pacific Electric, Heating & Air. I highly recommend them!

First, the good: they were fast and on time. It was easy to set an appointment. The technician, Clifford Rowley, was very professional and knowledgeable; he communicated clearly and walked me through the work plan before starting the job. The not-so-good: the price was very expensive for a simple job ($900+ for the installation of an additional circuit breaker and one outdoor electrical outlet about 1 foot away from the circuit breaker; total work time took about 1.5 hours) -- this was an extremely significant premium over other quotes I've received. Overall, the work quality was good, but I would hesitate to recommend them unless they modify their pricing.

Noah completed a service call today to trouble shoot a problem with the thermostat for our electric wall heater. He was very professional and knowledgeable. Because he is still researching the problem and looking for the part for a very old

Hi Yelp peeps! We want you all to know that this is our second review for PCE because they are the best, most respectful, most thoughtful and most kindhearted people around! Their installation crews are highly intelligent and can talk for days about amperes, watts, ohms and anything electrical you can think of. And I mean anything.. three weeks into our home rewire and we've asked Benny and Noah pretty much everything under the sun we are concerned with regarding electricity in general and regarding all that's being done to our home - panel questions, wiring questions, switches outlets and lighting questions.. there was always something new to learn everyday lol. And in the offchance they don't know something (like .0001%), they will find out for you because they are proud of what they do! I work from home so was fortunate to have seen their work first hand every single day. I know what knob and tube is and I've seen my attic and crawlspaces because of their pictures! They did such a great job, the attic crew we hired to clean out our asbestos were pretty impressed by their wire work. And did we mention previously on our initial job with PCE that a 20-year carpenter told us he was in shock at how amazing our electricians were, that 'nice' electricians are a rare breed? We told him you don't even know.. in our three weeks with Noah and Benny our kids feel safe, we feel safe, and even our dog loves them! The amount of respect and care they have put in working around our home and with us is something we have never experienced with any contractor. Our burnt out wiring is gone, our knob and tubes are disconnected and taken care of, our ceiling fan will be braced so much better (it was done by someone who put them on some plastic contraption or other), I mean, these guys care plenty and Benny himself was shocked saying that our fan could have fallen on us or our kids at any point in time in the event of an earthquake! And they looked worried for us!! And Noah as well - how many times did he explain how a subpanel/panel works, how power gets distributed etc, because he was the one underneath setting up the circuits although between the two of them we're pretty sure they always backed each other up and cross-referenced the work that was done. So again, Noah and Benny, Benny and Noah, we are grateful tons!!! These guys could have just done their job and clocked out at the end of every day but no, they took the time to speak to us whenever we asked and explained things to allay any fears or concerns we had. Such a stellar job, we hope Chad and Jorge aren't jealous that we had Benny and Noah for so long.. lol. (For reference, the amazing Chad and Jorge plus Eddie was the initial crew who came out to do our first job - some outlet changes etc, see previous review below!) As I write we still have some minor things to take care of and we still have to get code approval from the city and sheetrock fixes done. Mind you, waiting another two weeks or so to get the remainder done is not an issue as we know exactly where we are and what is happening in every step of our rewire project. Knowing Benny and Noah are on the job is like having Batman and Robin in our corner! We'll never worry again.. and I'll let them decide who is who.. lol. We are customers for life.

Levi Mentz was great - he arrived on time (and on the earlier side within the two-hour window), put on shoe covers without being asked, answered all of my questions patiently, provided as much detail as I asked for, and was generally super-nice, pleasant, and friendly. As a single woman, I am very safety-conscious, and he was great about making me feel at ease, comfortable, and safe. He also finished the work quickly and professionally, and I appreciate his eye for detail with respect to the alignment of the light fixtures that he installed. Pacific Coast's Reggie Ico installed 7 fixtures for us without any issues. Three outdoor and four indoor. He was punctual, friendly, respectful, and professional. He made extra sure we were happy with the locations of everything and the quality of work. Eric is a life-saver! When my wife and I goofed our DIY install of our new clothes dryer, we accidentally shorted the 240V connection. That sure made a spark! We tried to reset the breaker box to no avail, and thought we may have blown either the box itself or even the wiring in the walls.

Eric arrived right on schedule, and it took him all of 5 minutes to fix the issue. Calling up PCE saved us a ton of money and worry -- we feared we had done potentially thousands of dollars in electrical damage to the apartment we had just moved into. Definitely recommend calling in the pros for this kind of work!

Pacific Coast Electricians did a great job replacing the rest of our knob and tube lines to current code. Manny Rivera was our main guy!  He worked hard, made sure to cover his shoes every time he had to walk through the house, cleaned up at the end of each day, explained every step of the process and made sure we were satisfied with his work. I used Pacific Coast to do some electric work at my properties.  This is the first time I used them for my AC system.  Adrian came out to service the AC unit which has been giving us a lot of problems.  He arrived early (!) and it was quickly apparent to me that he is one of the most knowledgeable techs I have ever met (and I have used multiple AC company's so I have some experience).  Better yet, he is good at explaining what is going on and recommending options.  Did not try to rush through the explanations and let me ask a bunch of questions.  Our situation with this AC unit is a little complicated and there are many options.  After he left, he called later to say I was thinking about the AC at your place while driving to other calls and proceeded to provide another solution.  Awesome stuff by Adrian.

About a week ago we had Pacific Coast Electricians come out and install a ceiling fan in our Belmont home. Francis Thomas, our technician showed up on time and did a great job. They were pricier than other bids but, far and beyond more professional. We even had to modify our Rejuvenation fan in order get it installed. I'd recomend having them out if you've got a project.

[update] After two phone calls this morning, I got a 4:30 appointment today. Chris is the really star!! Saved the day. I would definitely gave Chris 5 stars, but considering my time and stress in the whole process, I would give 3 overall.
Chris identified the issue pretty fast, fixed it right away. Very knowledgeable and was able to explain things to me nicely. His assessment of the electrical panel's condition sounds a lot more reliable to me.
I really hope I don't need to call an electrician again in near future. Still not sure if I would work with them again. I know every newbie needs to start somewhere. But thinking this job should be an easy installation, so sent out someone who turned out to be incapable of doing it, and ended up taking all other people's time and effort to fix it, is not the right way to go. At least not for me.

[first part of the story]
The whole experience starts with 5 stars and then everything went down hill. Can't believe this is the first serious Yelp review I write, so upset by this whole experience.

To start with, my wall switch for water heater was burnt during memorial day weekend. So I googled and yelped, and called them. Eric came really fast. He didn't have that type of switch with him, so he did a temporary fix to keep my water heater working. And said he would get the switch after the weekend, then schedule a visit with me to install it. There are two items in the estimation: 1. install the switch for water heater, 2. replace the breakers controlling water heater with refurbished parts since the panel is a very old model.
Up to that point, it's still 5 star impression, maybe a little surprised by the price, but thought the service would be reliable.

But then, I never heard back from them, not sure if they are waiting for the parts or what. So after a while, I called them, the lady on the call said she'll let Eric call me back soon. No call back. One week later, called again, another lady picked up, saying she'll notice the manager or somebody. Next Monday, yesterday actually, finally got a call back, get scheduled for switch installation for today. Eric was busy, so it's another guy, which they said he'll know how to do it. But, everything was not working well today!! Michael arrived after 10am, later than the scheduled time. Did the installation, tripped the breaker for my whole unit (I'm in a condo) in the process, and finally said it's all done. Then I let out some hot water to test, the water heater is not powered on! Then he started testing the power from wires (indeed not enough power!) and calling Eric or other leads, tried to rearrange my breakers in the electrical panel, didn't work. Finally, said his lead will come in the afternoon.
So the sr guy came, tested the new switch installed, turned out that new switch was already burnt after installation. Then he went to the store, get another switch, installed, reconnected everything. It's over 6pm, I was pretty annoyed at that point. So when he said it's done, I trusted him and forgot to do the water testing myself (which turned out to be a huge mistake!!), paid, and let them go.
This work took a whole day!! And I wasted a work day at home!! When I remembered to test the hot water afterwards, the water heater does not work!!!
Just called them again, the lady said she'll let the electricians check with me. It's being ~1hr now, no call back yet... Wonder if I would ever got the call back any time soon since they've got my money.
During the process, the sr. guy kept telling me my electrical panel was too old, not safe, and said they can schedule an appointment to upgrade it with safer panel within the week. Well, if you guys can't even fix this one switch, how could I ever trust you guys with my whole electrical panel??!!! Didn't even test the whole system to see if the switch is working properly! And a high price for such level of service that left me with no power for hot water!!!

Ezekiel was very friendly and professional. He was very thorough in explaining my options. He explained all the safety features that I don't have. I had no idea how unsafe my hole was! I highly recommend this company and Ezekiel. They provide the best service I've ever had. Would give 10 stars if I could! Thank you again!

Andrew was ultimate professional.  Neat. On time.  Pleasant.  And he did diagnose the problem correctly,  for just over half what others charged minimum.  (Others wanted 150 alone for the visit.  This was much less) Gave written upgrade suggestions, which our initial visit can be used as a credit towards, but absolutely no pressure. I played phone tag with several firms, Pacific helped right away.

I unfortunately did not get a chance to hire PCEH because I had an emergency but they had the best quote for starters $89 initial fee that goes toward job and personnel answering phone have the best way of assuring that you will be taken care of.  I won't hesitate to contact them again.

Excellent quality work and great customer service with clear explanations of what was needed and done. Eric has been very responsive about the job initially and throughout. Value good from what I can tell. Technician Miguel was particularly good -- high quality work, attention to safety, good clean-up, detailed explanations and available by text for questions after.

We are so impressed by Eric Nordoff's level of professionalism and responsiveness and are grateful to have an excellent customer experience working with such a capable electrician. We had an emergency electric issue and Eric was able to come to our house in a prompt manner and assessed the issue thoroughly. During the diagnosis, he patiently explained the details of the issue to us and was able to quickly identify the issue and fix it. My house is old and typically once a year we have issues with our electrical. This time around (shortly before the holidays) we called our typical electrician and we never heard back. So we had to try a new company and thought we would give these guys a try. Eric from pacific coast came to our home last week. He made resolution to the issue at hand in abtimely manner, kept our home clean and offered us a preventative maintenance plan which I had never heard of prior. Great overall experience! We will definitely ask for Eric again

Beware of this company.  They came out to check the outlet in the bathroom. He changed the plug and the breaker. Told me all my breakers need to be replaced and at risk for fire. He said that their company will go through my home insurance and it would only cost me me the deductible.
Next morning I went to use the plug and it doesn't work.  I called them that morning and asked them to come back and fix the plug. They were supposed to call me back to make an appointment.  They didn't call, so I tried calling their different numbers. All I got was a recording.
They charged me over $600 and now that they have ripped me off, they won't take my call.
Maybe they will take my attorney's call or the Better Business call that is who I will be calling next.
I noticed another review that was the same scam they told me, regarding replacing all the breakers because of the fire risk. That review also stated that once they get paid they have little interest in you.

I was so impressed with Pacific Coast Electricians. Eric who came to our home was very professional. First of all, they text you prior to arrival and include a photo of the electrician so you know who to expect. I love this considering my husband set up the appointment. I highly recommend them. Eric was very thorough. This is an easy recommendation.

Had some work done under my house and needed dedicated electrical run for two points. I went with Pacific as I do not want unexpected issues down the line. They were very accommodating and knowledgeable. I appreciated their honesty and effort to get the job completed as expected. Rogelio was very professional and upheld high standards as he went about his work. Not cheap but who wants cheap electrical work in their walls? I will use them again when needed.

I called pacific coast for an appt to provide a quote on a variety of issues with my home from pool lights to gfci safety to dryer outlet issues.  Andrew arrived exactly on time, was very detailed at looking at all of the issues and provided alternatives on how to get all of the issues addressed.  I am looking forward to having Andrew come back to take care of the issues discussed.  5 stars for on time arrival, professionalism, knowledgeable, and excellent/friendly customer service.

I was very happy with the service I received.  Jonathan, the technician, was very friendly and professional.  He also seemed knowledgeable and explained my electrical issues in depth. I tend to ask a lot of questions and he was willing and able to answer them all.   The cost was quite reasonable, and rather than trying to upsell me for additional work while he was there, he simply provided an estimate of additional work I might want to consider in the future based on our conversation.  No pressure, very easy going, and extremely helpful.  I would recommend this company based on my experience with Jonathan.

Really liked EVERYONE I interacted with.  My mother needed help with a light fixture and they were extremely courteous and did a great job.  They also identified a very dangerous problem with her outside electrical box.  I highly recommend that you call them for any electrical work you need.  The also recommended me to a great drywall company called Hole in the Wall to help the ceiling repairs after the fixture was put in. All in all, just an excellent experience!

I called Pacific Coast Electricians because a one of the electric line tripped off and out of power. Andrew came, even before scheduled time which was great and helped us to fix the problem really quick. He was friendly, respectful, and professional at the same time.Highly recommend them for any electrical service.
