Damon Millard has worked very hard to get to where he is now. While working as a residential electrician in the day and working from 5-11pm at night doing commercial electrical he learned very quickly. He needed to provide for his family and instead of doing other odd end jobs he dove right into it 150% in 2002. It's his passion and driving force that keeps him motivated in doing what he loves ever since that day many years back. He enjoys playing music and being with his family as much as possible!

I highly recommend DM Electric. I first used them when building an ADU. They did a great job wiring a whole house from scratch, including a car charging station. From top to bottom, appliances, can lighting, dimmers, and exterior lights. Everything was done well. I've referred them to clients for new electrical panel and upgrades. I've also used them for smaller projects at my own home. I recommend them and will continue to refer them.
Recently called on DM electric to put a LED light over my sink. I'm very happy with it as it was just what I needed. Perfect to leave on in the evening instead of the ceiling light. It only took about 15 minutes. Thank you DM Electric. I'll be calling you soon for a bathroom fixture lights upgrade.
Damon and Jeff handled all of the electrical work for a major addition to our home. Part of our home has some really old and tricky electrical lighting features. Damon was able to tie in the new with the old and troubleshoot problems we were having with the old system. We've called Damon several times for help and he's always been responsive and fixed the problems. We've again hired him to upgrade our panel and do some additional work. I do not hesitate to recommend him and his team.
Damon and his crew were highly professional in completing all tasks having to do with upgrading our home to 200 amp service (complete new service entrance and box), installing wiring for an EV hook-up in our garage, and updating our electrical breaker boxes inside the home. Damon took care of all permits and interactions with SDGE. All facets of our project were handled expediently and without unnecessary delays. We also felt that his prices for these services were very reasonable. I would highly recommend his team to do any electrical work on a home.
Manny answered my call right away, even after business hours. He texted me the next day with a time that someone would be coming out to fix our broken outlet. Derek showed up right on time and had everything fixed and running in about 20 minutes. Will definitely use them again!
Needed a new breaker that wouldn't reset. Called a few places but no one was responsive. Reached Damon on first try after finding him in Yelp. Had a straightforward discussion describing my issue and then him a photo of the problematic breaker. He was able to come over within the hour after finishing another gig, replaced the offending breaker and gave a suggestion on how to avoid failure in the future. Job completed quickly and successfully. Damon grew up in north park and knew some of our neighbors. Would definitely use him again.,,

These guys were out to the house to install a couple new outlets. Barney was friendly and knowledgeable. Any time we have called them they always offer reliable service for a competitive price. Definitely give them a thumbs up.

I looked around for a while for an electrician to install outdoor lighting and DM electric was referred to me by a neighbor. They were better priced than the other bids and really spent the time to make the process easy and comfortable. They helped me source the some for lighting and help me understand the different lighting options I bought from Amazon.
When they came onsite the crew was very professional and did amazing work. They even fixed an electric exercise bike my dog had damaged for free! Their work was top notch and I was very happy.
I highly recommend this company for your electrical needs.
DM handled several VERY large commercial projects for me. He was unreal and the work completed was on time and done professionally. I highly recommend DM Electric and his team.

Damon and Hector installed 2 new ceiling fans and replaced 2 defective outlets for me. They came back to troubleshoot and repair a previous electrician's mistake at no extra cost. The work was done expertly and cleanly at a reasonable cost. I am extremely satisfied with the entire experience.
My husband had the pleasure of working with Damon after Sean from Target Electric came to our house and tried to swindle us!
Damon was honest, professional, and told us that the problem we were having was a SDG&E melted line.
Damon gave us his card and we will most definitely call him and recommend him to everyone! Thank you Damon for being an honest and up standing person. You are hard to come by these days!!!

Our house in La Mesa, Mt. Nebo area, was built in 1946 and has been added onto in a hodgepodge fashion over the years and electrical was interesting at best. We recently have embarked on a full kitchen, dining, living room remodel. Damon was 100% professional, he responded promptly to phone calls and even text messages. He sent us a reasonable bid, listened to what we needed, made additions when we asked, and has worked with us to get our project finished. His bid included all aspects of the job from start to finish, he has a payment structure to coincide with work completed...no surprises. Damon was able to fix many of the sketchy wiring in areas of the house that were done years ago by a previous homeowner himself. When we added work, Damon's charge was fair and we didn't even blink about settling up. He even accepts Venmo, which made payment easy. There are two negative reviews, I'm sorry for that, because that was absolutely not my experience. Highest recommendation to DM Electric.
Absolutely AWFUL customer service. Ok, so I can handle the pointless phone tag and complete lack of attention to detail with the information provided, but then setting up an appointment, just not showing up and not letting the client know, is beyond unprofessional. He just didn't show at all. Eventually, 45mins after I'm already at work, he answers me and says he's going to send a random guy and that it was my fault because I should have just known that he didn't get my address. When I asked him why he didn't call/text saying that we have an appointment but he didn't seem to get my address, his answer to me was sorry, I don't have time to chase down clients. Has your jaw hit the ground reading that like mine did?
Unbelievably unprofessional. I should have known better, he seemed distracted and aloof over the phone, but was giving him the benefit of the doubt. I'm a professional and know what it means to meet my commitments to others. If you at all care about your time and being treated like a valuable customer, I would suggest looking for someone else on yelp that would actually love to show up and do the job.

I am a Realtor in the North Park area that sells many older homes. With that being said, we sometimes run into electrical challenges once the buyer does their inspections. It is nice to have worked with Damon for the last several years as he has come in and saved the day on many occasions. Nothing is ever a big deal; he is honest and his prices are very fair.

I called Damon on a Tuesday and he was able to get to my place on Friday to install an outdoor outlet. He was in and out in a half hour and installed the outlet with a cover, exactly what I was looking for, for a reasonable price. I will most likely hire him to install ceiling fans and lighting as well!
I don't know why I haven't written a review for these guys sooner. Damon and his team are awesome! Not only are they actually enjoyable to be around (these guys are super down to earth), but they work fast, get the job done well, are up front with cost, are flexible and willing to work with your budget, and arrive when they say they are going to arrive. For electrical work, they are also really reasonably priced! I've had D M Electric work on my cafe 3 different times now, and will continue to work with them for all things electrical.

I had a 1970s remodel project and was referred to Damon and his crew by my real estate agent. Damon was a pro and, with all our interactions over 2 months, became a trusted friend. He offered solutions when faced with problems, made decision making easy and, as scary as specialty contractors can be, was fair and (sometimes) generous in his pricing. I did not feel nickel and dimed, he set me up for future growth/development of my place, and I know he would support any challenge that comes up in the future. Kimo and Jose, his trusted team were also great - personable, helpful, and out for my complete satisfaction. No hesitation - DM Electric are rockstars!

Damon and his partner Kimo were FANTASTIC! We live in a 1920s home in the Normal Heights area and had lots of small but stumping electrical issues. Damon and Kimo were very professional, knowledgeable, kind, down-to-earth and all around great guys. Excellent service!!! We contracted Damon to install our EV (Electric Vehicle) home charging station based on positive online reviews and research, and we are VERY happy we did! We Booked an appointment quickly, he was fast to respond to all email & texts, he was on time, performed the work professionally and quickly, did an great job, and charged a very fair/reasonable price (less than other electricians we got quotes from). The other reason he deserves 5 stars is because we had an issue with a faulty circuit breaker over a year after the initial installation, so we contacted Damon, and he came out and fixed it quickly and free of charge! We HIGHLY recommend him!!!
Hire Damon! In less than 20 minutes he assessed and fixed the issue caused by old, worn out wires at my 80s condo complex. Based on other reviews here I can tell his business is focused on bigger jobs - but I didn't feel like that at all. He let me know he had a full schedule but squeezed his visit it on the way so I didn't have to sit in a darkened living room for another day!
We have a 93 year old house, so it's always nerve-wracking when something goes wrong with the power. It turned out we had a faulty outlet, which Damon replaced in a very short time. Highly recommend! Will definitely use him again.

Damon and his team are experts in their field! I've known Damon for several years after my experience working with him as a vendor while opening up a new restaurant / night club. When my partner and I bought our new house that was an investor flip, I knew exactly who I wanted to do all the custom lighting upgrades. He is fair in his pricing, and focuses on getting the job complete in a timely manner without cutting any corners.
His original estimate to me was exactly what I had asked for and when his team uncovered electrical issues that were extreme safety hazards, they took the time to fix them and eliminated the potential risks for disaster and STILL CAME IN UNDER BUDGET! Needless to say the investor who flipped the property worked with a contractor who was a hack and did sub-par work without regards to code and blatant issues they covered up.
I would highly recommend Damon Millard and his team for any residential or commercial projects! If he is really busy and can't get to your job immediately, he's worth the wait if you have the time. I waited patiently knowing I would be happy with his professional care and attention to my new house.
We had a minor electrical issue that was a huge inconvenience to us but no one could figure it out. Damon came the the rescue the same day we called. He showed up on time, patiently and systematically tracked down the problem and fixed it in about 15 minutes. We won't hesitate to call him the next time we have an issue. Thanks Damon!

Damon was referred to me by one of my best friends after sdg&e cut my power off because of one incompetent electrician that wanted to make a quick buck without telling me that the work he was doing required a city permit. To make a long story short I was without power for two months, because of many reasons which I'm not going to talk about. After I contacted Damon he came the same day and he started to get to the bottom of the issue, he contacted the power company, got the plans to install a new double metered panel, and he restored my power in a very short time. He came with his crew, also very professional and knowledgeable, and they did an amazing job up to code, reinstated my city permit, got city approval, and got me out of the dark! He also fixed some other issues without charging me for the extra work!!
I would totally recommend DM electric to everyone that needs an honest, reasonable, and fare priced electrician. Email me for a referral.

Damon is the man! He is the most down to earth, honest, and can work around your schedule. I would for sure recommend him for anyone.
I need to move the ground wire for my electrical system over a few inches and I wasn't sure it was something I could or should do myself. I called Damon and asked him to come take a look at it. He came over the next morning. After inspecting it, he told me it was something I could move myself, showed me how to do it, and didn't charge me a thing. Super nice guy.
WOW!!!!! All i can say is amazing! Damon saved us big time! Half my house went out on a Saturday, Damon came over and fixed everything within an hour! Great service, great prices great guy!!! Thank you so much Damon!

Damon did lots if work on our home. He was professional, reliable, honest and did an AMAZING job!!!! We live in an older home and the previous owner did a ton of Mickey mouse wiring. Damon fixed EVERYTHING and got it all to code so we can eventually put it on the market. I would recommend him to anyone and will refer him in the future!
I decided to go with D M Electric after talking with Damon about replacing our existing breaker panel. He seemed knowledgeable and detailed about the scope of the work to be completed. When I arrived home the day of the work, the technician working on the panel was extremely sub-par. The panel had been installed and he was trying to figure out which breaker controlled what. He then asked me to help him do his work. When I took a closer look at the work he had completed, it turned out that they had not grounded the panel correctly, had used the wrong gauge wire and had improperly labeled all the breakers. It was in worse condition than before I had hired them! Not only that, the technician working on the job left cigarette butts and wiring scraps all over the area he was working. I've attempted to reach out to DM Electric for repairs due to current issues I'm having with our electrical and have never heard back. I would steer clear of D M Electric at all cost, especially if you want a safe and working electrical system on your project. Terrible service!!
Just an update. Damon just rewired my very old kitchen, and found lots of unexpected potential disasters. Very good job at tracking and remedy, so adding to my previous post, once again very happy and pricing very reasonable.
Thanks to Damon and Mike for all of their help with our remodel. Damon texted to confirm our appointments each time and was on time for each visit. Minor issues that were encountered were dealt with quickly and we were happy with the work overall. His prices were also very competitive and fair.

I had an odd electrical issue at my 1912-built craftsman home in Kensington Park that I could not figure out. Half of my house had power and the other half was dead. I read the other Yelp reviews about Damon's professionalism and gave him a call. He showed up exactly when he said he would. He identified the root cause issue of my electrical problem, dove in, and had it repaired before it got dark. I was so scared that I was going to have a huge bill (as I am always frightful when a vendor comes to my home and sees how old it is.) The cost for time and materials was MORE THAN fair. So fair, in fact, that he walked out with a couple bottles of my very best home-brew as a way to say thanks. I will be sure to recommend DM Electric to my neighbors as I frequent nextdoor.com. A++ work. A++ people.
Damon is so reliable and does a great job. He has done work for me and I know many people that he has done work for. You can count on him, he does what he says and he is there when you need him. Even though Damon did not actually do any work on our home I have to give him 5 stars for his honesty and reliability. After being quoted over $3000 for work on our new home by other companies (even though they did not look at the actual electrical work already done) Damon came and thoroughly reviewed the condition of the electrical work. He let me know that there were no major issues and most of the work had already been done on the house, saving us tons of money, even though it meant him not getting a job. He even made some simple do it yourself recommendations to take care of some minor issues. I really appreciated his honesty and friendliness when giving us a quote and will definitely be using him in the future for any needed electrical work. I would recommend him to anyone that wants honest and quality service.
What makes DM Electric so fantastic is Damon is really in the know about newer technologies and how to implement them into a project. Having had previous exposure to caveman electricians that do NOT stay up with current tech it was refreshing to have seemingly difficult LED lighting questions answered with ease by Damon. With his help we have gone from a monthly consumer of 1600 bulb watts down to just 309! The other thing we love about Damon is, unlike our experience with other electricians, Damon will give you very thoughtful input into what it is you are trying to accomplish. He always has good advise and even a eye toward good design. Our home simply would not be what it is without Damon.
