So I had a few things I needed to be installed / fixed around my house. I called a hand full of electricians after my last go-to kept pushing me back in his schedule because he was too busy.

It was a lot of the same honestly. Everyone is slammed, so it was either a long wait, a crazy price, or both. I am thankful someone recommended Alex and his team to me. I tend to avoid companies with crazy high perfect reviews, because (in my experience) they tend to be more of what I already explained. I promise you Alex is NOT that.

After calling Alex, he came out promptly to look at the job, gave me a quote the same day, and had a couple guys out to the house that weekend to knock it out. In all, I had a Ring spotlight, an attic light, a ceiling fan, and a couple sconces installed (all new wiring) as well as some troubleshooting (I attached a few pictures).

I had three guys from his team helping me out (I only recall Jesus and Guillermo's names). They were all super professional, did real clean work, and did exactly what I asked of them.

I have no problem telling you, because Alex made a point of telling me - Alex IS the cheapest quote you are probably going to find. This certainly was the case in my situation and absolutely did not take away from the quality of the work performed. Would recommend Alex and his team to anyone and certainly will be a return customer! Thanks again!

Alex and crew were very professional and accommodating. I had an old and overloaded breaker panel which was causing part of my house to loose power. I want to thank Alex and his team for the great job they did on my home. They installed led lighting, ceiling fans and new bathroom fans throughout the home, which is a recent purchase. The team arrived on time, was courteous, executed to plan. I observed the way they ran the job, I was impressed with the organization and teamwork displayed. The house is older, so they had to do some raw installation and small repairs along the way, but they handled everything, stayed on schedule. I will look to them for my future projects to come.

Five-star service by a licensed electrician, and at a fair price.

For Prime Day, I finally scored a Haiku ceiling fan at a reasonable price. Ordered it on Monday, Amazon delivered it on Tuesday, and Alex Lopez Electric installed our beautiful new ceiling fan on Wednesday morning. Easy peazy.

When I telephoned Alex, he replied within an hour, confirmed the installation price & confirmed an appointment the next morning.

Two installers arrived on time, and used dropped cloths to cover their work area. After confirming the center mounting location with me, they proceeded to cut the mounting hole, wired the electrical, and then mounted the Haiku ceiling fan in a new support bracket. They even packed the trash. Everything was completed as expected, with no surprises.

Many thanks, we love the new fan. Now we're ready for summer!

I just moved into another home and needed some electrical work done. Installation of two new ceiling fans, a GFCI outlet, an additional outlet in a hallway nook, an exterior weather proof outlet and 4 exterior wall lights/sconces. Contactex Alex Lopez Electric this morning. I needed help installing a ceiling fan. Alex was super courteous over the phone, gave me a very reasonable quote, and was able to schedule the installation for the same day. He texted me to informe me of the approximate arrival of one of his staff members.

Giovani and his assistant arrived on time and did a great job removing and disposing of the old ceiling fan, and installing the new one.

After the installation was completed, Alex Lopez Electric texted me to inquire about my level of satisfaction, a very nice gesture indeed.

I will certainly call Alex Lopez to help with future projects.

My wife and I bought our first home and needed to upgrade our electric panel and fix some of the house wiring. After hiring another electrician who quit on us mid job, we turned to Alex and his team. They were highly recommended and for good reason.

Alex and his team were on time, made a quick and accurate assessments of what we needed, and worked quickly and professionally. He also gave us a fair estimate, stayed on budget, and most importantly performed quality work.

They moved our electric panel, rewired part of the house, installed an extra outlet in a pony wall, brought the kitchen up to code, installed an emergency shut off breaker for the AC unit, repaired and stuccoed the wall, and grounded our panel along with a few other odds and ends.

I highly recommend Alex and his team. He was fair, honest, professional, and performed high quality work. I will hire him again for additional projects.

When we first moved into our home we really didn't know how much work it would need, our electrical kept shutting down, we called our home insurance and the electrician they sent was not competent.

I came to Yelp to find an electrician and found Alex.

We've had several things done to the house, but the most important was changing the electrical box, it was priced reasonably and the staff were professional and courteous.

The estimate we received did not change and there was a clear understanding on the price we were going to pay.

I lost power in a section of my house. I had an electrician from my home warranty take a look at the issue. After an hour and a half, he couldn't diagnose the problem and suggested he might need to tear open some drywall or climb through the attic.

The absolute BEST prices in San Diego. We got 8 recess lighting fixtures installed in my home for kitchen and dining room, and alex electric was amazing. The technicians Guillermo & Oscar came out and did a phenomenal job and were very curious and cleaned up after they were done. We had a major job and 4 new fans to be installed, 3 having all new wiring and holes cut in the ceiling. Two were pull cords and 2 were remotes. Everything went perfectly. I couldn't be happier. Once for a bid on a new panel and again yesterday to get a rush on electrical work I needed to keep me on schedule for my remodel when another electrician had to cancel. A huge thank you to Alex and his team! We purchased our first home, it's older and needed a lot of work. Alex provided me a quote right away. Initially I only requested the panel, but in talking with Alex about the home inspection results he was able to really transform the electrical system for the house. He advised me on many things I did not originally consider.

Right after closing Alex and his team came in and rewired the entire house, upgraded the panel, added some recessed lights (made a huge difference), improved the lights in the garage, fixed all the faulty wiring, added an outlet for my tv, and upgraded all our outlets from 2 prongs to 3 prongs.

Alex is extremely courteous and very communicative. Alex always kept me informed which was really helpful and reassuring. I really appreciate his flexibility. His team was incredibly polite and friendly. Anything I asked to do or change they were very accommodating. Alex and his team even acknowledged requests and input from my dad. I really can't thank him enough.

In the end the work was very professional and clean. No shortcuts taken whatsoever! Im very happy and impressed with their work. Very competitive pricing - it was totally worth it!!!! It's a noticeable upgrade and change to our new house.

I really appreciate the positive experience working with them. Alex and his team really set the bar high for all future contractors we work with. I'm already planning on calling him back for additional work. I look forward to working with them again.

We'd recently moved to San Diego from WA and purchased a house built in 1992. We'd gotten all our things delivered and we're hooking up the washer and dryer, to our surprise the plug for the dryer didn't fit into the outlet in the house.
I'd called several electricians and alex responded in a timely manner and quoted me a very reasonable price. He sent out one of his guys who said he'd need to come back with alex to finish the job. They returned later that afternoon and fixed our outlet so we could now do our laundry.
I also then asked him to do some more work as the house didn't have very many lights. He and his crew came out within a few days and installed 12 new led can lights in addition to replacing the existing can lights with LED ones. He was also able to put in a new outlet so we could mount and plug in our tv instead of needing an extension cord.
I'm going to have him come back for more outlets in our master bathroom soon as well(who only puts one outlet in a bathroom?!).

I've called him up twice for sudden electrical repairs (bad outlets), and both times he's sent over guys who found & fixed up my problems quickly, thoroughly, and at very fair prices. They also came rather quickly after me requesting them (as in, the following day), which was particularly nice, since both of the issues were very time-critical because of very real potential of fire danger...one team even came in on a holiday because of the urgency of my request.

Great guys, and I don't see any reason to call anyone else for my electrical needs. I sincerely appreciate Alex and his network's services :)

Alex installed a fast charger for my new Tesla. When I called him he was at my home within the hour and delivered an estimate 30 minute later. His team did a fast and very high quality job and the result is perfect. His quote was very reasonable and beat other local bids by more than 30%. Alex & his crew are the best!!! So professional. They show up when they say they will. They do excellent work & very willing to work with you especially when things change which is inevitable in a remodel. They offer suggestions & better ways to go about the operations. All of the crew are polite, trustworthy & pleasant to be around. I had an emergency & had to leave for a few hours & felt totally comfortable leaving the crew here. I was very impressed one day when I saw Alex (the boss) working with the crew. That said alot to me. Another thing that meant alit to me is the clean up. The crew cleaned so well. They even vacuumed! We lost power to our garage, which included an extra fridge, our car chargers, and the irrigation system. And of course it happened on a Sunday. Everything about the day went smoothly. Jose showed up right on time and Hector walked in a few minutes later. Both wore masks the entire time which made me happy. They explained everything that they were doing in a manner I could understand and then worked quickly and quietly. When they realized switches I bought weren't going to work with fans, Jose ran to Home Depot and got the correct ones. Wafted they were finished they vacuumed up the mess, took the fan boxes and left. Would highly recommend them and the price was reasonable too.

I literally cannot say enough good things about Alex Lopez Electric. Alex himself is the ultimate professional. We have worked with him on numerous projects and he can't be beat. His work is clean, efficient, and most importantly up to code. It doesn't hurt that his prices are consistently better than anyone that we quote and the quality of work is amazing. Also, he leaves your house clean and perfect by the time he is done.

Alex and his crew are fast, precise and professional! He upgraded my main house panel from a 60 amp to 200 amp panel in less than 1 day! Now I have enough juice to support my house and granny flat! His prices are more than fair and he even patches and paints his jobs so doesn't look incomplete or trashy! I will definitely go back to Alex for any future repairs!

You couldn't ask for more! We wanted recessed lighting in our kitchen and two ceiling fans. Alex showed on time for the estimate and provided a very reasonable offer. At all times he was friendly, considerate, and professional.

Alex and his team of electricians did an excellent job installing recess lighting in my home. On time, quick install . He also changed out my other dated recess lighting through out my hallways and my kitchen to LED, everything matches! And to top all of this off his prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Alex and his team for any electrical work you are in need of. Very fast response time, most competitive quote, and he had his team in our home within a few days. What was supposed to be just a two hour job turned into almost 4 hours due to some road blocks with the way our home was constructed and no fault of the electricians at all. Alex and his team did an excellent job for us. After contacting several other electricians for quotes, Alex was the most competitive and responsive. He communicated quickly with me and provided a timely and very reasonable quote. We were adding two dedicated 20-amp electrical outlets in our garage and a new circuit in our breaker. Alex and his team arrived on time and got the job done in an hour. I personally made a mistake in describing the distance from the outlets to the panel in our original communications, which forced Alex to head out and buy more conduit. He didn't complain or up-charge me. He stuck to his original quote. Alex and his team were professional, cleaned up afterwards, and everything works great in our garage. I needed electrical work to install a new cooktop and oven. He was very professional and straight forward with what needed to be done. He worked my job into his schedule and managed to complete it within two days. They do get the dirty work done and leaves the work space clean! He even checked back to see if the appliances were working well when installed. I should have used him to install the appliances, instead of the box stores recommended installers.

Rarely do I find such a good business to work with . We are a medium sized business and when we need a master electrician we call Alex and his crew. I am extremely happy with Alex Lopez. I contacted him to relocate a ceiling fan in my mom's kitchen. I don't live in Chula Vista, but he asked me to call him the day before to confirm, which I did. He sent Gio, who was on time and ready to work. He did a fantastic job and was very helpful with suggestions on how to hook up a coax cable to connect to the internet (this was not part of his job; he heard three women talking about how to fix the problem and he jumped in to offer a solution). A couple of days later, I called Alex again -- after the kitchen renovation the lighting fixture didn't fit with the new look. Alex sent another crew to install four recessed lights and when they were done, Eddie sent me a picture because by this time I was no longer in Chula Vista. I have a couple of other jobs for an electrician. There is no question I will be calling Alex Lopez Electric again. I trust them and the quality of their work. My mom is 84 years old, lives by herself, but cooks every single day. She is very happy with the work Alex and team did. I highly, highly recommend.
