Another great experience with HI Power Electric. I added a 240v Car Charger for my new Tesla. The price was reasonable and they did a great job. I also added another electrical outlet behind our wall mounted master bedroom tv. Perfect cordless view now!

I previously used these guys a year a go to add an extra outlet for my Japanese toilet. They did a great job then and now.

HI Power Electric responds to Yelp messages very fast. I have rec'd same day service both time and they have showed up within 60 minutes both times :)

Installing car chargers can present some challenges and you want someone who knows not just how to do it, but understands the nuances of chargers. We used George and his team when we had our smoke/carbon monoxide detectors updated. We found them on Yelp, thanks to all the great reviews. George was quick to reply back to messages. His price was comparable to most (and definitely cheaper than some-- it's crazy how much some were charging JUST to change out smoke detectors). He was also able to fit us in his schedule the next day. On the day of, they were running ahead of schedule, and was able to come earlier than promised. They were very efficient and was in and out of there in no time. We will definitely be using him for our future electrical needs. Already have a few lined up.

Highly recommend Hi Power Electric! Needed help moving electrical in two bedrooms to facilitate tv installs. George was able to come out within two days and was incredibly efficient, professional, and so pleasant to work with. He kept drywall cuts to a minimum and really made it look easy (and so clean)! George also helped restore power to a wall of outlets on one side of the room that had not worked for years. Had Hi Power install my EV charging unit which looked good. They were courteous and reasonably priced. The unit looked ok, but I started having issues with the charging unit which showed it was 'on' but the vehicle was not receiving adequate power and not charging. I tried to contact Hi Power to come back out to look at the installation, but I received no response. I found another electrician who came out and fixed the problem, so I have to change my rating to only 3 stars.

George has helped me out on two different issues in my house over the last couple of months. Both times he has been very responsive and thorough in explaining what the issues were with my panel. A few days ago he installed a nema 14-50 outlet for my EV and the job was done in an extremely professional manner. He even came back out to my house the next day (about a 40 minute drive for him) when I had a small issue with the outlet that needed to be resolved (not his fault - I just didn't know how to properly connect my adapter). I would highly recommend George and I will definitely continue to use his services in the future.

George and Sal replaced an old ceiling fan, a light fixture ballast, and a wall plug that wasn't working for us. They found that the previous ceiling fan installation was not up to code, and that the old fan was actually in danger of falling down! Yikes! They quickly and cheerfully did a proper upgrade and installation of the fan. They are honest and quick workers, and cleaned up well after they were done. We will definitely call them again! Due to the recent rains we lost our outdoor outlets and I searched for the GFCI switch and could not locate it. I called Hi Power and within a few hours the problem got solved. George and Sal came on a short notice and I can't thank them enough. The GFCI switch was hidden behind some stuff inside a wooden shelf.

While they were there at my house, they installed a brand new outlet in my garage connected to the circuit breaker. Their work was meticulous and everything was cleaned up.

My wife and I purchased a home in laguna Niguel and noticed some electrical problems right away. The garbage disposal wouldn't turn on, the jacuzzi jets in a bathtub wouldn't turn on and there was a lack of electrical outlets in the master bathroom and master bedroom. Called and left a message asking for a call back. Sheen did call me back and told them about couple of projects I had and wanted to see if I could get a quote so I can compare to the others.

I described to him what I was looking for and on 1 of them Sheen was able to provide a rough estimate and for the other one if I could text him pictures and he could provide a quote.

I texted the pictures soon after we hung up and this was on Tuesday (11/10). No reply Wednesday and Thursday. Followed up with a text on Friday (11/13) and no response. Almost a week and still waiting on a response....

How did I get so lucky? When researching electricians, I used Yelp to find a company who could help me with a repair on an outdoor outlet not covered by my home warranty company. I saw Hi Power's five star ratings and over 200 reviews, so that already made me pay attention. Even better, when I called them for an estimate, they were upfront and honest about the pricing. After a couple calls to other service providers, their pricing was either better or equal. What sold me was the friendliness and upfront communication. I know, friendliness is not always important if you've got a budget in mind, but if you can get both why would you go anywhere else?

5 stars - Fair pricing. I'm not super handy, but I did do some research before calling them, so I already knew what to expect. When their assessment lined up with my research, I knew they weren't trying to nickel and dime me.

5 stars - I have to give five bonus stars to Sheen. He promptly called me back if I left a message and made me feel like I was a priority. He had no issue with setting up an appointment with my tenant and even provided me the documentation I needed as receipt of the work, which is important for landlords who need to keep a detailed log of repairs. Sheen really went above and beyond, and was easy to work with the entire time.

If I ever need any electrician related work done, I know who to call!

I originally had given Hi Power a great review however, in light of a few things I absolutely need to revise it. Initially, They had come out to our house for quite a few electrical issues as the old owners of our home had many suspect jobs around the house. The young guys (one was the son of the owner) seemed very nice but, in retrospect, definitely not as seasoned as electricians who have been in the field and working longer. This became apparent to me when we had another company come out very recently. After quite a few inexpensive electrical jobs I asked the guys at Hi Power to hang a pendant lighting. After hanging it it had began to slide, exposing a rather large hole in the ceiling. When I called the guys to come back to rehang it, I was told that was just the way it was due to the style of lighting and the ceiling and there wasn't anything to do to prevent sliding. That wasn't good enough for me and I insisted that they come back. How funny that they were actually able to get it the right way with no ceiling exposure and it is still correct to this day. I absolutely did not like that they wanted me to settle with it done the wrong way!
Fast forward a year later (10/19)and we are having electrical problems with the same outlets that they have repaired. My husband was not impressed, overall with the company, insisted that we have someone else come out this time. The company that came out was awesome and the tech knew exactly what he was doing. The Hi Power Electric guys had back wired one of the outlets which was an issue and was even noted on our invoice. See pics. Basically, we paid $500 for a faulty repair. I would not recommend to friends and neighbors.

Update --
I wanted to adjust the stars a bit and acknowledge that high-power did reach out to us to talk about the issues. It didn't quite change my opinion/experience but it was decent of them to do that. I perhaps should have called them first to look at the issue before calling another electrician.

We were having issues with our kitchen outlets tripping for the past few weeks, then last night, we saw a spark and the plug wouldn't reset. I was super worried and messaged Hi Power Electric last night. They responded first thing this morning and said they could come out today. We messaged back and forth a few times, and they were really responsive.

I was super impressed with their professionalism and their ability to solve the problem. Our kitchen electricity works now, and it's such a weight lifted off our shoulders.

I called Sheen when my microwave & oven combo went out, he picked up my call right away, he understood what my issue was right away and said he has a spot open later that same day! George and his crew member showed up at my door within a couple of hours, and not only they fixed my microwave issue, they also installed a wireless remote control of the family room recess lights, all done in less than an hour!!

Hi Power does excellent work for a fair price.

I had a 240V outlet installed in the garage by George and Sal. They were able to add it to my existing panel that was essentially full by replacing an existing breaker with a thinner one. Clean install. No mess left behind. Quote was accurate. Quick installation.

They even installed an exterior light for my wife and showed her where the external light sensor was.

And they are nice to talk to also.

I'll be sure to call them again!

Honestly, just incredible. George knows his stuff.

Backstory: I had contacted ANOTHER electrician with high reviews on yelp hoping to solve a problem at my house (numerous power outlets were dead with no power). The electrician was nice, but spent hours on my house trying to find the problem and ended up having to go to another job and apologized for not being able to help.

Found Hi Power Electric next....Gave George a call in the morning, within 30 mins George was at my door step at 9:00am sharp, as promised. George asked me to show him the problem areas, and the layout of the house which took about 10 min (9:10AM). George found and fixed the problem by 9:20AM the same morning! Yes folks, 10 mins to identify and fix the problem! Very methodical, he's process and experience orientated. No time wasting or spinning wheels. His assistant and him are on the same wavelengths as well with no fumbling around - that was refreshing. Super impressive and frankly I am so relieved that I have such an experienced and trustworthy electrician as a Go-To in my rolodex.

I've already got the next project for George scheduled for next month. I've been procrastinating fixing and adding new landscape lights and he helped me identify what items I need to purchase for him to install them.

Five star all the way. Honest review and just don't waste your time with others!

I hired Hi Power for upgrade eclectic panel from 100amp to 200amp few months ago. George gave me very reasonable price quote and explained every detail of all the process. I have worked few other electricians past few years but George was most honest(this is best part of Hi Power) and also being very professional. I cannot not express how happy I am to review this business. I found them on Yelp right here after seeing numerous 5-star reviews and they are all accurate based on my personal experience. I received prompt responses each and every time I inquired about something.

I initially requested for the addition of an outlet and while George was out, my husband asked to add another outlet in one of our closets, as well as a dimmer to our existing kitchen switch. They were able accommodate right there on the spot and we were really happy with the work.

After a few days I realized there was a mistake with where the initial outlet was placed and called George again, he came out the same day and took care of it immediately.

They are considerate and punctual people and have a lot of pride in their work. I will most definitely be using their services any time our home will need electrical work. Thank you for running such a professional and prompt business. If only all home-improvement businesses were this fantastic and easy to work with!

Honesty goes a long way!

I ended up not using Hi Power and George because he actually helped me trouble shoot my problem w/o charging me for a visit. He could have easily scheduled an appointment for $100 (or whatever it is) to inspect the problem but instead he gave me his time and we texted back and forth until I figured out what was wrong. It turned out to be something minor that I could fix myself!

So it's my opportunity to return the favor by giving him 5 stars and a big thank you! If I have a major electrical problem, I will definitely call George first!

Took them few days to call us back and another week or so to come out to give us the bid. It's been over 2 weeks since they came out and we still haven't gotten the bid. We called and emailed...Nothing...So we went with The Tradesman Electrian, which they were fast, quick responses to call, did a great job, even though they were super busy!

We needed a new ceiling fan installed in our guest room prior to the arrival and installation of an exercise bike. We contacted Hi Power Electric on a Thursday and the fan was installed by George and his helper on Saturday. The installation was reasonably priced, COVID protocols were observed and the job was neatly completed in about 90 minutes. The job required four cuts into our drywall to run power to the ceiling. George and his team carefully replaced and screwed the cut drywall pieces back in such a way that my wife and I were able to tape, patch, texturize and paint the cutout areas without needing additional assistance.

We will definitely be contacting George and Hi Power Electric for our future household electrical projects.

I initially called yesterday to ask about an estimate for installing a 220 outlet for my electric car. He asked me a few questions over the phone about our electrical panel size, the type of gauge wire and amp breaker we needed etc. He stopped by only after 20 minutes and gave us a free estimate. His price was right in line with some of the other companies we had called. We wanted to get it done as soon as possible and he fit us in his schedule the next morning and finished the job in only 2.5 hours! On both days, he was very punctual (and even showed up a little early). He also supplied all the materials that was included in the price.

These guys are the best!

I sent over a yelp msg for request for quote (NEMA 14-50 installation) and they got back to me asap. I took some pics on my phone of what my setup looked like and they were able to immediately get me an accurate quote right over the yelp msging system. Made my life so much easier and saved me a lot of time.

They came out a few days later after making an appointment earlier and the install was done extremely well, clean and professional.

Thank you George for coming out right away and fixing my electric problem. I had to have a 110/220 volt GFI outlet put in my backyard for my sauna that I bought. They checked the whole perimeter of my house for the best possible solution and they found a wire that was run from the electrical box to part of my yard so I wouldn't have to run conduit all along my house. I had to coordinate him with my cement and landscape guy and they were extremely flexible on scheduling. I will definitely be having him out again to update lights and outlets in my house that are old. They also replaced another GFI outlet in my yard that I had other electricians take a look at and try to fix. George and his team go above and beyond to fix your electrical issues. I needed to replace a light switch in the kitchen which I could probably do myself but there was another switch in the house that mysteriously not working. Sheen came out and replaced the switch and quickly diagnosed the problem with the one that wasn't working. He offered two solutions, one of which protected me from having to cut holes in the wall and drywall/patch. He didn't have the supplies to do that job but arranged for George (his father) and Sal to come out the next day and make the repairs. Excellent job! These guys are awesome! I had a GFI outlet that was not working and it was not a simple resetting issue. George was well experienced electrician to troubleshoot the problem and discovered that it was recirculating pump problem, meaning a plumbing issue. I don't think typical electrician would have found the plumbing problem but George did. He also changed couple outside outlets that were problematic. Top notch professional, quick response, and very reasonable cost. Highly recommend them.

AMAZING WORK!

Both Alex and George came out at a moment's notice to help me repair several 120V outlet outages inadvertently caused by a reckless electronics installer. A month prior, Alex and George helped me install two attic fans and secure exposed attic wiring in junction boxes, all without issues.

First call service - this is always my first indication if it's going to be a reputable and reliable business. If they either answer right away or call back within the same day. Hi power returned my call within only an hour or two, provided a rough estimate over the phone based on verbal description of work (pretty basic), and had an appointment available within just a couple days to get out and complete the work. Only electrician I called that could give me a same week appointment. Then they showed up on time, organized, confirmed price on spot, wearing masks, and got the work done super quick and in good order. Highly recommend Hi Power Electric for all your electricity needs. Had a great experience with Hi Power Electric! I recently got a Tesla and needed a charger at home asap. George (owner) was super responsive on Yelp and replied my messages immediately throughout the day and was able to set up an appointment for me the next morning. They showed up on time and completed the charger in maybe 30 minutes or so. I also asked them to fix two of my interior lights that had stopped working for a while and it was not a problem for them. The work was done quickly and for a very fair price. Definitely my new go to electrician.
I want to point out that I definitely recommend them for any EV charger installation for Tesla, Chevy Volt, Nissan Leaf etc. Their price is very fair from what I've heard!

I needed to move my sprinkler timer from the garage to the outside and also install a new LED strip light installed under cabinet in the kitchen. These were done to my satisfaction. I had to replace a garden light timer and the first time the timer did not meet my expectation. But Sheen came by and replaced it. Called and left voicemail. I get a reply hours later at 10:40 pm via text asking for more detail about the work and when I do the following question was what city and when I told him he replies a few hours later suggesting that I get a local General contractor.

Response and business etiquette deserves less than 1 star.

There should be a disclosure up front that states they don't travel more than 19 miles for a job. I would have kept . i did not want to contact multiple electricians to only pick one to do the work(sounds like a big waste of time for other electricians).

I just had George & his crew at my house to figure out what had happened to cause many outlets on family room& etc not working.
He checked our fuse box & confirmed it was okay & figured out right away what caused the problem!
I am impressed how experienced & honest George was and he was out of my house in 30 min & very very reasonable charge! Of course, the problem fixed.
He advised to change all the outlets to avoid further issues so we will definitely plan to do that w them in near future.

I initially picked these guys based on their yelp reviews.... I needed a dead outlet looked at, a switch that would trip a breaker and having a ceiling fan put in. I called on a Saturday and left a message.... took them nearly a week to call me back. The gentleman I initially spoke with was very nice and professional. I explained to him what I was looking at having done. He asked me some general questions about the electrical problems and if there was attic access for the fan install. Based on our discussions, he said he should be able to get everything fixed and the fan installed in less than a day. That way I would not have to pay multiple service calls. He gave me a rough estimate of about $400 for everything....Seems great.... I gave him the tenants number to arrange to get it done.

Another several days go by with no contact. This afternoon I get a call from the tenant saying the electricians were there and they were only there to do the fan and knew nothing about the outlet or the switch. They also said there was no power in the attic so they would have to cut the walls to run power. Well I know there is power in the attic because there is a light there....
Then he tells me 1) it will be $350 just to run the electrical for the fan 2) it's $125 just for the service call 3) since they didn't know about the outlet and the switch they can't do that today so it will be another $125 for another service call and I would also have to hire someone to patch the drywall because we don't patch....
Well thanks for the attempt to bait and switch so I told them to pack their bags and we would find someone else!!

I would definitely be on guard with these folks..... my guess is that they were trying to take advantage of the tenant and leave we with a grossly over inflated bill!!

Contacted Hi Power to install NEMA 14-50 for our EV. Sheen replied my quote request promptly. He asked for photos of my main panel. The quoted price is reasonable. Scheduled an installation at 8 am. Around 7:30 am, got a text from George asked if they could start early. Of course!

Sam and George are friendly and professional. They finshed the job in less than an hour. They double check the circuit and cleaned up everything.

George at HiPowerElectric saved us when our electrical panel blew out. Knowing how dangerous the situation could be with sparking in the panel, he came right away on a weekend. He determined that the bus bar was very damaged and the panel needed replacing.

I made the mistake of trying to go through our home warranty for the panel replacement--I wasted countless hours on the phone with our home warranty and with other electricians who were very dishonest.

In the end, we asked George and HiPowerElectric to replace our panel. The panel was very old and very difficult to replace. He also installed several outdoor lamp lights. Once again he did a perfect, professional job for a very fair price. He puts people and safety first.

Amazing work!! I highly recommend this company!!! The most reliable, honest and communicative electric company I have every worked with. George is a stand up guy! I called him on April 4th to see if he could come out to my house to diagnose the best plan of action for a new built-in microwave I was having installed. He ended up coming to my house on Easter morning (the next day), despite having guests in town, which immediately gave me an idea of the great service I was about to experience.

Long story short, I already had a double oven that was running off of the only accessible circuit for these two appliances, which ended up not being enough juice to run both appliances. Two days later I had two brand new dedicated circuits run for each of the appliances, and I couldn't be happier.

Hi Power Electric deserves its many five star ratings. I needed to replace my rusted out sub panel box outside in pool equipment area and requested 3 bids. Pictures were sent and 2 bids came in on basis of pictures. Hi Power scheduled a site visit, inspected the panel, and the main panel and gave me a bid and a time when he could do the job.
He arrived exactly on time, did a really good job and recommended replacement of two fuses in main panel. Excellent work, reasonable price, and doing the job exactly at time promised is reason I will call George again for any needed repairs.

This company knows customer service. Sheen installed the Ring video doorbell, however, the signaling device inside our house was not compatible. He then provided us with an inexpensive solution that required purchasing a wireless signal device. The following day, Sheen contacted me asking if he could make one more attempt to get our video doorbell and original signaling device to communicate (something he had thought of only after he left our initial appointment). Though unsuccessful, I was extremely impressed with Sheen's due diligence. We've had many sub-contractors work in our home in the last year, and I must say Hi Power Electric is the only company that went above and beyond all expectations. Incredible service! I needed to have a 240v outlet installed so I could charge my Tesla. I was referred to Hi Power Electric via a Tesla forum and I couldn't be happier! I cannot thank these guys enough! We lost power in half of our house this morning and resetting the circuit breakers did nothing to correct the problem. Recently our ceiling fan in our master bedroom went out. We bought a new one at Home Depot with the intent of installing ourselves. However, due to the recent heatwave, and a lack of good electrical talent, I decided it would be better to have a professional do the installation.

I called a couple of electricians here on Yelp! and didn't really like their demeanor...one didn't answer my questions directly and one didn't even call me back.

I then called George at Hi-Power. He answered the phone and asked a few simple questions and said he could be over in about 30 minutes. He was over in 15. He said it would take about an hour to an hour and a half to complete. He was done 45 minutes. He was pleasant and knowledgeable. And, he did it for the price he quoted over the phone. He made sure my wife and I were both pleased with his work before he left.

I plan to call George again the next time we need an electrician and I will recommend to all my friends. George is great--honest, prompt, and professional.

Called yesterday, and made an appointment for today @3pm. They were able to see me early (1030am) on that day! Cool.
My issue: I had 3 outlets not working. I changed them out, and they still didn't work. George came with his team, reviewed the work I did, and then went to the fusebox. They quickly were able to determine that I had a fuse not reset completely (doh! I should have checked that). They charged me a standard call out fee - which should be expected :)

They were a great group and awesome to work with. We'll use them again since I appreciate how quickly they worked and honest they were with me.

George and Sheen did a great job fixing a challenging backyard lights problem. Without diving into details, the old wiring, control box, light fixtures and other system had issues. George came to our home, gave a brief explanation and focused evaluation of the major issues, and recommended a plan before he started working.

When he showed up (on time) with Sheen, they took care of business (results orientation is VERRRRY HIGH) and fixed all issues with great efficiency (High competence is VERRRRY Clear) and finally, gave us some inputs on how to use things to avoid problems.

Few days later, we found a minor issue that needs be fixed. We exchanged few texts and he came and took care of the business again and we are happy (customer orientation).

Update: my wife and I just moved into a new condo and requested the same work that Hi-Power electric did for us. The other company that did the same work, had so much better quality in their work. The bathroom fans (same ones) had absolutely no drywall work needed as they measured perfectly. The recessed lights installed had no extra work needing to be done. It was shocking to see the quality of work difference!! For those looking, I went with Armes Electric which I highly recommend!

Hi Power Electric employs the most honest, high integrity electricians I've ever had the pleasure of reaching out to, as evidenced by my call today with an awesome rep named Sheen. I turned off our circuit breaker after installing a new appliance, but it wouldn't turn back on. I panicked and called Hi Power, asked if there were any techs available today for an emergency call, and although he confirmed he did have an available appointment, he asked if I had tried flipping the switch ALL the way in the off position before switching it on. I hadn't tried that, and I'm so incredibly grateful that he suggested it, because it worked! Even though they could have been underhanded like some other companies and sent someone out anyway, Sheen was kind enough to help me over the phone to restore power to my home and to my family. Sheen is awesome! And we will definitely ONLY work with Hi Power for all of our future electric emergencies.

Yesterday my family and I were enjoying our Saturday morning when out of nowhere we lost power to one section of our home. After checking GFI outlets and the breaker panel, which both were fine, I started to panic as the cubs game was a few hours away and I had no power. I searched yelp and found George based on his rating and great reviews. George tried helping me over the phone to assess the issue myself. Who does that? That was when I realized I contacted the right guy. After it was determined that the problem was beyond my skill level, he and his son made it over to my house in a matter of a couple of hours. They went through a series of checks and tests and located a faulty outlet near the front of my home which was causing all of these issue. They repaired and set everything back to normal just in time for me to watch the Cubbies! I will use them again and recommend them for any and all electrical work. Extremely happy with the service received from Hi Power. Starting with my initial phone call to the completion of the work, I could not be happier.

On my initial phone call, they took the time to listen to me try to explain the issue and they patiently tried to trouble shoot the problem for me. In my case, the basic steps proved ineffective (overloaded GFI outlet that was constantly tripping the circuit breaker). Made an appointment for them to come out since it required repair/upgrading (something I wanted for a longer-term solution). Their pricing seems in line with other electricians that I contacted but my decision to use Hi Power was based on the service received over the phone.

On the day of my appointment, they arrived promptly and ready to work. Again, they listened to me explain the issue and presented me with options (varying price points). They took care of the issue quickly and cleaned up after themselves.

They are professionals. They listened to the problem and presented me with options. I never felt that they were trying to sell me something. I never felt that they were doing anything dishonest. They were prompt, efficient, and courteous. Everything that I would want from someone providing me with a service.

Called on a Saturday afternoon and received a text back within minutes asking if the following Monday would work. My gfi circuits were tripping due to moisture intrusion from the rain. George and his son came the next day and isolated some of the circuits, installed additional gfi outlets, and sealed some existing ones that were not tightly sealed. This family owned business definitely cares. I was being dumb and called on a Saturday expecting to have the small project completed that same day. He tried to squeeze me in but had an emergency.

Finding an electrician on Yelp? Why not, we use it for everything else. We had a minor electrical emergency. The master bedroom breaker tripped and would not reset. I've had a breaker fail before, so I replaced it. No dice. My wife found George on Yelp and scheduled an appointment for the next morning.

Upon arrival, George and an assistance went to work diagnosing the problem. Won't bore you with details, but the fault was eventually found, some wires in the wall that I would not have been able to diagnose on my handiest day.

To earn 5 stars, George solved our problem, walked us through the situation and how arrived at the solution, and then charged a very reasonable fee. We'd call George again in a heartbeat. He doesn't advertise, he's a Yelp only marketer.

I bought a spa without thinking of the electrical issues associated. My breaker box is in the front of the house and the spa would be located in the backyard. I had 16 fluorescent 4-pin recess lights replaced with LED screw in lights through a lot of rooms the builder had installed them. The team at Hi Power were great: Sheen in the office was very efficient, in regular communication to make sure he knew exactly what was required in advance, quoted me a firm price and got me set up within 2 days; the finished job looks great. The job was complicated by the installed cans not being standard 5 or 6 inch but they guys worked with it and made them work without having to cut the ceiling. No trouble they just got on with it. They were tidy, putting down drop sheets, cleaning up afterwards. Payment by Visa card with a swipe on the device attached to the cell phone made it all easy. I will call Hi Power again for sure!

We were having a problem with the electronic control panel on our gas oven going dark. Sheen arrived on time and efficiently troubleshot the issue. He added some pigtails and altered the existing GFI outlets so that the oven would not be affected by future problems caused by appliances plugged into those GFI outlets. He also replaced a duplex switch in our bathroom with a more modern rocker-type switch. The service call charge and labor plus parts were normal for our times. I recommend Hi Power and would use them again.

These guys are terrific. I had a major electrical issue that was causing the main breaker to go off and my sub panel was sparking. I needed 3 outdoor outlets installed with new breakers. My setup was a bit tricky for most electricians since I did some pre-installation myself (not the best). George showed up the next day and evaluated my previous work and the work needed to be done. Not only he worked around my previous homemade effort, he also took the time to explain various options available for me to save me money !! His honesty was refreshing.

After the outdoor job, he also spent extra time diagnosed my other indoor electrical problem (not due to my own effort). Based on his 20+ years experience, he hinted my problem was a tripped GFI in the garage. He was absolutely correct ... I am embarrassed that my family lived with this issue for 3 years. I had previous electricians tell me my situation was not repairable and the fans we had in our home were as quiet as they can get without cutting deep into our dry wall and causing severe damage to our ceilings. Well, George, the owner, Sheen and their partner Alex installed perfectly two new fans in our 2 bedroom condo in less than 2 hours and didn't make a single mess! They were so respectful of our home and timely! They even wore socks in our house on our recently cleaned floors They covered the surrounding areas, no questions asked, to prevent any possible dry wall fall out and made such minimal mess I could barely tell they even changed anything other than the amazing super quiet Nutone fans they installed! They picked up the fans for us and didn't over charge us at all! They have very reasonable pricing and I felt the work and cost was affordable and exceeded my expectations! They also installed a outlet that can hold up to 20 amps just for my blow dryer which resolved the electrical power issues in our home that was driving us nuts!! This company is wonderful and they really do back themselves up with great customer service and high quality innovative work! They find creative ways to solve your problems rather than upset you with frustrating No's and lack of professionalism or better yet lazy minds and workers. This company rocks! I will definitely use them again! Thanx again Hi Power Electric! My only regret is I didn't find them sooner!

I have been meaning to write this review and I'm just getting to write it now as I had several contractors at my house through last summer and just finishing up now in the new year. I had George and his crew to my house several times doing different electrical jobs, only to discover things not working properly, holes made and walls unnecessarily that were at my expense, later I had to have repaired by another contractor. Recessed lighting put in my kitchen now has ring marks on the ceiling where I guess they decided not to put the lights in, i'm assuming this is from them erasing their pencil marks off of my freshly painted kitchen ceiling. I had an outlet on my front porch which a week after was installed was hanging out of the stucco wall, this outlet and several others were huge boxes with big plastic covers on them not like the normal once you see it peoples houses with the metal outlet doors that close and sit recessed in the wall. We paid a bunch of money to have some overhead under garage lights put in the didn't even show up at night under our garage. Then after paying him he insisted that he already spent the money on those lights so we had to get and pay for the new lights to put under there even though we were completely unsatisfied with the job he did under the garage. My husband ended up installing some lights beautifully and used the proper lighting that looks fantastic under the garage. we also had a couple of brand-new TVs wall-mounted in our bedrooms, when Hi Power left there were some outlet plates left off, just open spaces or you could see the electrical boxes behind one TV, I mean isn't the whole purpose of getting a TV mounted on your wall is so you don't see all the wires cable boxes etc. ? also the outlet box down by the floor where the cable runs through was left with no cover plate, I didn't know we were supposed to supply those? One TV was not hung properly, The first day two of George's guys could come and we picked the perfect spot for it then they decided they didn't have time to finish it that day so George came back several days later and hung it however he wanted to hang it which was not right. My general contractor and my husband had to take the whole thing down and rehang it again, so job left incomplete as far as I'm concerned, also outlets kept tripping after the first time after he left so we had to call him back etc. I could go on and on...... I would not use these guys again. I guess if you're looking for commercial work that doesn't have to be pleasing to the eye, this would be your guy, but if you're looking for someone to come in to your home and make things look cosmetically nice not so much. Prices are nothing special, in line with other companies that would do a much better job. Mind you I would've not had to write this review, if George had a better attitude and had done the work properly and not pinned the lights under the garage on us $$ , because HE got the wrong type of lights. It was too bad I had already paid him for THE LIGHT and tv hanging work even before all the work was finished because I would have not paid after seeing what the lights looked like at night under our garage overhang or that he never asked me how I wanted my TV hung. Several of my neighbors commented that they could not even see the lights and that they were not bright enough and for the price we paid for them should've been able to see them and they should've been the better quality spotlights I wanted my little plastic things with lightbulbs stuck in them. Anyway glad my husband was able to get some nice lights and fix the job. Note to George good customer service, follow through and making the customer happy helps build a better business. Also if a job is too big for you or you're not wanting to do cosmetically pleasing work, or don't have the resources to get the proper lighting that the homeowner wants, you should pass on the job and let someone else do it to avoid major headaches for everybody, instead of just doing it the way you want to do it remember it's not your home, A Family has to live in that house every day! Anyway glad we are able to finally fix all the items between other contractors and on our own.

Wow I am totally satisfied! We had a 20 year intermittent issue in the house that stumped several handymen and a least one other electrician. A circuit would overload and loss of complete electrical outlet power would occur in two separate bathrooms. Usually the fix was to go trip the circuit breaker and power would be restored. The problem resurfaced and the flip of the circuit breaker no longer did the trick. I went to Yelp looking for someone with good reviews and Hi Power came right up with 5 stars. I called them today at 2:00 and George and his man were here at 4:15. Problem was diagnosed and fixed by 5:00! What was I thinking for 20 years? Use George you will not be disappointed.

With such high recommendations, including a referral from Home Depot, Hi Power Electric must be extremely busy. In spite of phone calls and emails there has been no transaction. When George didn't show up for an appointment I called and he told me there must have been a misunderstanding. I verified what he charged for an estimate and agreed to it. He said he would email me an appointment day as he didn't have his calendar. Receiving his email, I returned it telling him that day would not work and suggested two other days. I have heard nothing since. I have hired another electrician for the jobs.

lights in 3 rooms on the second floor of my house started to flicker 2-3 weeks ago, and it becomes more and more frequent. I called 3 electric companies with best reviews on Yelp: Hi Power was the first to return my call, and it was within 30 minutes. Sheen was professional and polite over the phone, and was able to set me up for the same-day appointment. (The other company called me back in about one hour but they were all booked, and the third one never returned my call.)
George & Alex showed up on time, quickly diagnosed the problem and found out that the old circuit breakers caused the flickering. Based on safety concerns, they recommended to replace all circuit breakers, but they gave me options whether to replace one or replace all. I decided to replace all circuit breakers. They got the job done quickly, tested all circuits after the job, and checked again thorough inside the house. Lights no longer flicker! I'd definitely call them again should I need electrical work.

These guys are the complete package. They called back right away and offered a lot of help right over the phone. Then they came to my door within an hour of my request, on Christmas Eve no less. Whether it is a small job or a big one, definitely give George a call.

I saw lots of good reviews for George on Yelp so my husband and I had decided to give him a try to install a new switch for our backyard patio cover lighting. That was several months back... last year.

And we have since used him a few more times... to install a 220v EV charger in our garage and most recently a big and very time-sensitive project -- upgrade of our electric panel from 100 to 200 amps. He did a great job and charges quite fairly.

I feel so bad that I have been so busy the past months that I was not able to give him our feedback on Yelp sooner. And I do owe him an excellent Yelp review because this is where I found him. But I have been recommending him friends and to the FB (mom's) group that I belong to whenever a member asks for a referral.

We are very grateful to him for all his great work and in our most recent project (the panel upgrade) for his patience in the approval/scheduling process. He took care of the city permit approval and inspection and called SCE (several times!!!) to set up the schedule for powering-off/inspection/powering-back-on. As all of these needed to happen in just a few hours (4-6 hours), including the actual upgrade work that he needed to do.

He came to the house a few days before the actual day of upgrade to prep some of the things ahead of time, then on the day of upgrade, came to the house very early at 7am in the morning to make sure he gets everything done on time for the inspection -- SCE wanted it ready for inspection and hear back from him by 12 noon!!! And the city had to inspect and approve it too before SCE did its own inspection and turn the power back on. All these processes in a very small window of time, not much room for any error or delay... otherwise, we would be out of power the whole day!!!

But everything completed on time... George actually finished his part ahead of time, and waited patiently for all the inspectors to come. You're a good man, George! Keep it up. Thank you very much. We'll definitely see you again.

Got the referral for HiPower Electric by a colleague and friend. Definitely a gem of a find. George was quick to follow-up with me with a thorough and reasonable quote on some electrical needs based on a home inspection report. Didn't need his services right away, and when I called over a month later, it was easy to schedule some time, and they kept to their quote. I had three ceiling fans installed, a GFCI outlet, new ballast, and clean up to an electric panel. George and his son arrived on time, were professional, cleaned up, and took the time to explain to me what they were doing and why. They also gave me a great referral for a drywall expert (needed with my fan install). Will definitely call HiPower again, and pass along the referral to anyone with electrical needs.

We needed an electrician at the last minute and George was the man. He answered the phone and once he determined that he could do the job he said he would be over in 30 minutes. He arrived quickly and told us that he would prefer that we have SCE out as well to turn off the service line to prevent a larger short to other people in our building. He agreed to come back when SCE arrived... And sure enough he showed up. Quickly replaced the necessary part and charged us the agreed upon price even though he had to come back a second time. We will definitely be using George again in the future for any electrical work.

Our power went out over Labor Day weekend, we called HiPower and George called right back. He helped us identify the likely problem and the parts he might need before he came over so that he could bring them. He showed up promptly the next morning (Labor Day!), with his son and the part, and they fixed it within about an hour, including time waiting around for SCE to come and unlock our main breaker panel! He was super nice and charged us a very reasonable price even though it was a holiday. More importantly, George identified an underlying with our system, that the SCE tech confirmed, so that we could fix that before we have more problems. Amazing work by these guys! They installed a ceiling fan with no existing wiring in my living room for a very reasonable price in less than 2 hours. The fan looked great and worked perfectly! After installation, I realized that the fan I had purchased did not go well with the living room (which Hi-Power told us when installing). I asked if they could replace the fan with a different fan and move the old fan to my bedroom. They came back the next day and put it both fans within an hour! It was great to get everything done in 2 days. They have very reasonable prices, great customer service, and their work product is very good. I am very glad that I chose Hi-Power and will make sure to use them if I have any other electrical needs.

I would highly recommend using Hi Power electric. I called him to come out and bid an install of a charger for my electric car. He came out same day within an hour. I chatted with George briefly during his bid and could tell he was an honest hard working guy. I typically get 3 bids and a feel for a contractor before I commit to a project. This was an exception, George gave me a quote that was considerably less then I expected. I will usually negotiate a bit with whomever I chose to to contract but there was no need here! I ordered my charger and told him when it came I would call. Day it came I called George and he offered to come the very next day when I was off work! The install was considerably more work then either of us expected (partially due to construction and partially due to SDGE having inadequate power to the condo's during abnormal peak). He was here twice as long as he should have been but charged me nothing additional. I would highly recommend choosing him even over a lower bidder.

The circuit breaker and wiring in my house is very only and the AC kept shorting out the electricity in the whole house. I gave these guys a call and explained the problem. they had me text over a photo of the breaker to show them what it looked like so they could tell me if they would be able to fix it. If only all contractors were this responsive, professional and efficient! I had a dimmer switch that was malfunctioning and causing the lights it controlled to stay on, or blink. Found George on Yelp, called him up to replace a 220V outlet from a 3 prong, to a 4 prong to accommodate my electric dryer in my new apartment. He was honest, and let me know he'd be about an hour until he could come by to take a look. He was very concerned with following codes and laws, even though I didn't care how he did it, I just wanted it done! He was friendly, fast, and matched another quote I got from another electrician. We scheduled an appointment and two workers came to do the work. Alex and another person. When the work was completed Alex used a small vacuum to clean the area in both places where the switches were installed. They left the area very clean. Thank you for a great job.

You will never need another electrician again if you use Hi Power Electric. George and his son Sheen are the best in OC! I had them install a chandelier in a ceiling where there was no light fixture or previous electrical box. When I called them they responded right away and we set up an appointment in OC that same week. This was a complicated job as they had to go up in the attic to do the install over the bedroom. They were very thorough and professional, and we couldn't be happier with the result. They had in stock a wonderful remote receiver so that they did not have to do any major cuts in the ceiling. The chandelier looks like it has always been there! In fact, we liked their work so much that we contacted them again to install another ceiling fixture in another bedroom. It also looks great and the job went smoothly. They are knowledgeable and dependable. I would refer them to anyone without hesitation.

Had a great experience with George. Called him for a quote to install a 220V outlet behind a kitchen stove, and contrary to other electricians who were unwilling to give me a quote or unwilling to take the time to come by the house to visually estimate the work, he was able to meet me that same evening and gave me a quote in person after thoroughly considering the situtation. Wonderful experience! Worked with George, who brought two assistants to help. They were thorough, efficient, and didn't overcharge. We had them reroute some lighting, add in extra lighting, install a chandelier, and everything was great. After they initially set everything up, our painters ruined some of their work, and they came back to fix everything quickly without overcharging again. So many things go wrong with a new house and it was refreshing to have someone do their job well. Highly recommend and we'd absolutely use them again if we need any more lights!

During the recent rain storms in southern California, all of our GFI switches were not working due to the storm. We were leaving on vacation and it was a pain as all of the bathrooms had no power as we were trying to get ready to leave.
We called George and it was really a simple solution that he walked us through over the phone. He could have come to the house and charged us anything and we would have been happy to pay to get the power back on.
Integrity and honesty are unfortunately not the norm today so we should celebrate it when we find it.

After reading his Yelp reviews, I contacted George via his website about trouble shooting 2 electrical switches in my home. I heard back from him in 10 minutes. I told him that I was in the process of moving and needed to have these items fixed as part of selling my home. I also told him I needed to have the switches fixed as soon as possible and for the least cost. George told me that he could be at my home at 2:00PM the next day. He arrived at 2:00 PM as promised, fixed the faulty wired switch and did it at a reasonable price as requested. I've dealt with three different electrical firms while owning this house over the past 7 years and have never had one firm as responsive or as reasonably priced as Hi Power Electric. I wish that I had discovered this firm earlier. I highly recommend them!

A few months ago we had our kitchen remodeled. Needing an electrician we saw all the stars on this business and were anxious to call George.
George does very professional & neat work but we were very disappointed at how on 2 seperate occasions he didn't listen to what we told him. 1st We didn't want Halogen Can celing lights (costly & Burn hot) also wanted a dimmer which he installed but I couldn't use because the halogen was already too dull for a kitchen. He did nothing to correct his mistake and try to please the customer (me). Thank goodness for Home Depot electrical sales person who helped us solve the problem at $240.00 cost to us.
Same problem then with undercounter lighting..too dull Can't make it lighter and did nothing to help solve the problem.
Not Happy At All! If you use him, get everything in writing. I thought he was a nice guy and trusted he'd do right by us but I was wrong.

I had two work items that needed to be done. The first Home Depot referred contractors wanted $2000 for recessed lighting, which George did for $185. The second another company wanted $2800 to install a charger for my electric car, which George did for $285. The other companies do painting and drywall where George does not, but even with that consideration I'd prefer to pay 1/10th the price.

I would give George and his crew 6 out of 5 if I could. George was very quick in responding to phone calls. George and his son replaced all our outlets and installed GFI's in all of my bathrooms and kitchen. Not to mention celling fans in the bedrooms. They both performed with the utmost professionalism and integrity. His price was very competitive and it translates to the quality of their work. I would always add in extra projects that would make them stay longer than usual, he never rushed his work nor complained. We are very glad we chose Hi Power Electric. I just moved to Laguna Niguel and had a worker blow out my breaker box - a fire hazard not to mention inconvenient as we had lights out in parts of the house. I was able to get an appointment for the same day. He was right on time, and once I explained the symptoms of the electrical problem, he methodically went through it step by step and within 15 minutes found and fixed the issue (a poorly installed electrical outlet by the home builder). We had an amazing experience with Hi Power Electric. We recently moved to Laguna Niguel, and my husband was trying to install electric fans. Long story short, he wasn't able to get one to work so we decided to call Hi Power Electric based on all the good Yelp reviews. I called at 7:30am on a Saturday morning. The team was at our house by about 11:30am that morning. Everyone was very nice, well presented and friendly. They fixed the fan my husband was having troucble with and helped install a chandelier over our dining table. The price for their work was very reasonable. This was the first time I had called an electrician, I had always done electrical myself. However, I had an issue that I was unable to fix, so I decided to call in a pro. I had 4 outdoor 3-way lights and a set of interior 3-way lights that weren't working. I called Hi Power Electric on Monday morning around 9 AM, they accepted the job and said they'd be over around 12:00. Would you believe it they were actually ahead of time and were 30 minutes early, very unusual in the trade and very appreciated! When they arrived they were cautious about coming inside so that they didn't dirty my just cleaned floors (it was raining that day). In about an hour they found and fixed my 4 new lights which were wired incorrectly and installed new 3-way switches in the kitchen. They cleaned up nicely afterwards and were very professional and friendly as well, so I am very happy at the work they did at my house. I will for sure recommend them and use them the next time I need any additional electrical work done.

Also brought a skilled assistant which increased efficiency. George showed up right at the time he said he would and he texted me first when he was on his way. He quickly fixed my 15 amp circuit breakers and then explained why I was having my electric problems in the first place, which was due to the way my home was originally wired with multiple outlets on 15 amp breakers. George told me that he could easily upgrade my wiring with 20 amp GFI outlets and he gave me an estimate which was more than fair so I had him run new wiring for added outlets in my office, in my kids rooms and another for my extra appliances in the garage. His crew cleaned up as if they were never here and all is working great. The work completed was professional and the materials he used were of good quality. I recommend using Hi Power Electric....

I tried to install and new hanging lamp and did something wrong. Basically I fried the switch because I connected the wrong wire to the incorrect attachment. We had no idea what the problem was , so called George. He was great, cam over fixed everything in less than an hour and hang up the new chandelier. Great service, knowledgeable and affordable. Needed an antique chandelier hung in our dining room with a vaulted ceiling. Geo was recommended by a friend. This job was not as easy as we thought it would be. So happy we called on a professional. In the midst of our minor house remodel, we had a blown circuit that affected some outside lights and all the sockets in the front part of the house. Breakers and GFI showed no problems and no elecricity. I called George based upon his good customer reviews. George rechecked the panel and GFI's to confirm the mystery when he came. It took an hour or so to trace the problem back into a bad connection in one of the house sockets. Other small things were fixed that were found during the tracing of the problem. George did a great job for me at a reasonable price. I will probably get him back to work on other electrical things as we finish the remodel.

I don't often write reviews, but I felt after meeting George yesterday at my home in laguna niguel, i had to give him a 5 star rating. He was quick to return my phone call, he was immedaite to set up an appointment to see what was going on with a GFI socket in my backyard. Then to top it off, we asked if he could adjust the time a bit for our appt and he suggest that he could come over within 30 minutes of the phone call. He showed up exactly as promised, took the time to assess the issue and fixed the GFI in less than 30 minutes. I would highly recommend Geroge! We called George about installing a lighting system for a new entertainment center that we were designing. He came within an hour and not only gave us an estimate for the work but gave us important feedback and ideas on how to make sure the wiring setup was done properly. He was knowledgeable and safety minded which was important to us. We were also impressed that George would come so quickly during off hours. After getting a very reasonable quote, we scheduled George to install the lights after the contractor completed the construction of the shelving unit. George was exactly on time and did a great job of installing the lighting system. We liked his work so much that we asked him to install an outlet in our garage the same day.
