David and his team came and helped us rewire our entire 1890's house and replaced the main panel. Our old craftsman house that still had knob & tube wiring and needed lots of love. They did the job quickly and quietly and were finished in 4-5 days. My wife kept changing her mind about the placement of outlets and switches - they accommodated every request right away. When we had an outage at night while they were doing to re-wire (not due to anything they did) - David helped me trouble-shoot late at night. Customer satisfaction is clearly high priority with David and he delivers. He was extremely courteous and respectful to us and our home (+kids) throughout his work. On top of this, he cost is very fair.  Will definitely recommend to family and friends. A+++

The owner, Ramon, was very responsive when I submitted a request for quotes through Yelp.  He came by my place to provide an in-person consultation for the services I requested.  He was friendly, thorough, knowledgeable and gave good insight on what should and should not be done.  Although I did not select him for this project, I will definitely use him in the future.

I was reading an article that many NEMA 14-50 plug installs are not adequate for the continuous nightly draw we EV owners place on them and called Edward.
Edward knew exactly what I was talking about and my concerns since his primary Business is EV charging installation.

He was very accommodating, making time in his schedule to come out and look at my previous installation.
He was reasonable, noting that one of my plugs was installed well, and we just replaced the actual socket for a better one at a nominal fee.

As for my second NEMA 14-50 socket, I was shocked to find that indeed it had started  to melt and needed to be replaced.
We decided to place a dedicated charger for my second vehicle, and I found his pricing very reasonable.

I would highly recommend that everyone who has an electric vehicle, makes sure that their install was done properly and not with inexpensive parts meant to be used an hour or two a week. EVs put a huge work load on the wiring and sockets and a bad install is highly likely to fail from heat and arcing leading to
a risk of fire.

If you think of all the money you pay for house insurance, calling Edward out is a small amount of money for peace of mind.

I want to make this clear, the rating is not because of the electrician who came to fix my issue.  He came did his job and the company charged me an extreme rate ($150 for 30min worth of work and $25 for outlet replacement!!!!) to solve the issue.  My issue is the company and/or management.  I set an appointment for 9/930. 9 comes around nobody and no call.  Ok no big deal.  930 comes around no call no one shows up.  I call them and they say let me talk to the service manager and we will call you back. 15 minutes go by and no call.  By the way I have to take time off work to make this happen so my time is precious. So then I call them to find out that the tech is running late because of a previous job. In the end he is about an hour late. Ok, that's fine I get it things happen but where is the professionalism? You have an administrative asst. answering phones, is it too difficult for you to call the next customer to tell them your running late.  Come on! Overall this company is not even close to 5 star status and would not recommend.

Needed to change out my main electrical circuit panel. I read great reviews on Yelp for Carlsbad Electrical and requested a estimate/quote.  They responded efficiently and provided a reasonable quote. Ron came out for look and completed the job the following week, based on my schedule. Very happy with the work. Reliable, honest, and excellent work. I will continue to use their service for other projects I need done.

I needed a level 2 EVSE home charging station to be installed for my Fiat 500e.  I went with a JuiceBox Pro 40 and needed it placed inside the garage.  Unfortunately our garage didn't have a 240v outlet (the house was old and some say they came with it because of electric dryers in the past).  So I've made arrangements with Ochoa Electric to tackle this project.  The power box was located at the opposite side of the garage, so they ended up installing a dedicated power line with 40amp breakers.  They snaked the wires through the attic that routed to the garage.  Conduits were used to protect the wires from outside elements and a NEMA 14-50 socket was used for the EVSE. The install was clean and they even fixed a few loose ends that the previous sloppy electrician left behind.  Overall the team from Ochoa Electric did an excellent job.  Eddie (Edward) with his two team members finished the job with great efficiency in a timely manner.  Though not the cheapest, if you want the work done right the first time contact Eddie and his team, they will tackle all your electrical needs.

Tom responded quickly to my yelp message and I was able to schedule an appointment the next day via text. He was by far the most reasonable estimate I received as well. Would definitely use him again.

Our bathroom and kitchen lights completely stopped working but all other lights worked fine. We called out an electrician from a different company the night before, although they were nice and did try to find the problem, they still could not after 2 hours of looking. We were afraid that the problem was much deeper so I went ahead and contacted CLD Electric for a second opinion.. Scottie came out and saved the day!!! He found the problem in just 40 or so minutes, explained it thoroughly and then fixed it right away! He even set it up to where the problem should not reoccur. My family is so incredibly relieved and happy with what Scottie was able to do for us today. On top of that, the price we paid was absolutely worth it and completely reasonable. Scottie is truly the best around! Thank you CLD Electric! We are forever clients now!

Jeff is awesome! Had some lighting installed in my condo. Lights look great and his experience is shown in his work. Highly recommended. Prices are way more fair than some of the other companies on here.

The lady answering the phone is useless, rude and should be no where near anything to do with customer service. Xantrex said they were a warranty center, Xantrex also said they were in Carmichael, CA. These people are not. Aside from being rude they are running a scam with were they are located.

When calling Xantrex, Xantrex was great. Xantrex is pushing a fast return for us. By sending it back to the factory. As a small business we try to do all the business we can with other small businesses. Businesses with this attitude don't deserve your support. Joan is not nice or helpful.

Doug came out to my residence to install a 30 amp RV outlet near my circuit breaker.  The work was done in less than an hour and I couldn't be happier.

Alfredo is very professional and very knowledgeable. We had a bad circuit on a part of house around night time and he still came at night. He's very helpful and gave us some tips on preventing short circuit. I would recommend them to everyone who read this review and all to my friends. Especially for those who looking for honest and very helpful electrician. Choose them.

We recently referred Zed Electric to a buyer of a large home for a purchase inspection.  ZED used the general inspection report and then was able to elaborate on the repairs and recommendations to cure as well as provide a bid that the buyer was able to use in a Request for Repairs negotiation.  The seller side was able to provide a lower priced bid for the same line items and Zed was able to match it.  There is a charge for an inspection which includes time to review the general inspection report, visit the property, and provide a bid.
