I've had David or his team (Peter and Troy) out for a couple of jobs now. Competitively priced, on time, and professional, I highly recommend Alvarado Electric.

The owner, Ramon, was very responsive when I submitted a request for quotes through Yelp.  He came by my place to provide an in-person consultation for the services I requested.  He was friendly, thorough, knowledgeable and gave good insight on what should and should not be done.  Although I did not select him for this project, I will definitely use him in the future.

My previous 40A charger was not working.  I bought a new tesla 48A charger to replace the old one, and I called several electricians for installation.  One of them didn't want to do the work because he thought it would be a lot of work, and most of them didn't even  answer the call.

Ed answered the call and stopped by the next day.  It turns out the previous electrician used inappropriate wires and circuit breaker, and the circuit breaker was failing.

Ed replaced the old wire and the circuit breaker with newer ones that can support the higher current, and installed the new charger fairly quickly.  Ed diagnosed the problem, completed the job, and cleaned up afterwards within an hour. Thanks to Ed, now I can charge my car at home worry-free.

Clearly, Ed has done this type of work numerous times, and I recommend if you need help installing a new charger for your electric vehicle.

Our overhead lighting went out monday afternoon. We are a small family restaurant and needed the light to be fixed quickly and when we are closed.  We found Ochoa Electric. And they service north county. When we called we received prompt service. The technician Enrique Gonzalez arrived promptly Tuesday at 9am as promised. Enrique did a great job!!

Exactly what I needed. Flickering lights, crackle in the wires. An electrical contractor was badly needed. The electrician with CLD Electric, Peter was knowledgeable, hard working and had a good attitude.

I had them evaluate the lighting and replace the old lighting that had been there. They put in several new lighting fixtures. They changed out the wiring in the wall that was crackling. Installed several new switches with the dimmers.

5 stars to the entire organization at CLD Electric. I highly recommend these electricians for all electric service needs.

Jeff came on time and checked our recessed lighting and some of our outlets which needed replaced.  He was very knowledgeable and answered any questions I had regarding wiring etc.    He did a great job and I would hire him again if anything arises.

I highly recommend Core Electric. Craig is responsive and reliable. Shane is also a pleasure to work with and very knowledgeable. They've installed a sub panel in my garage and ran circuits to my pool pump outside. Shane came out on short notice to replace a bad breaker to my AC unit when it was over 100 degrees last summer. Big or small, Core is my go to electricians.

I ran into a problem when I was replacing an old florescent recessed troffer kitchen light on my own with an upgraded LED version.  I called Bingham Electric and Doug was able to schedule me an appointment the same day.  Doug was experienced, quick, and reasonably priced.  Thank you Bingham Electric, glad I called.

We're in the final phase of a major master bathroom and bedroom remodel with Ideal, and we couldn't be happier. We've been working with Ideal for years -- they've handled all of our plumbing, HVAC, and electrical needs ever since we moved into this house in 2003. So when it became time for this major job, Ideal was our first call.

We had a significant root intrusion in the sewer line beneath the slab in our master bathroom. After a lengthy consultation, and frankly our hesitancy (this was going to cost a lot), we took the plunge.

Joe Clark was our contact person and remodel manager. Since we would be jackhammering the concrete slab and replacing a section of sewer line, it would be a perfect time to get the full-size shower we always wanted. Joe gave us an estimate, and a time frame. We signed the contract.

Once work began it all went really, really smoothly. Ideal proved to be an excellent partner in this process, for three key reasons:

1. Excellent workmanship. Aaron and Justin came in and with the help of a series of assistants tore into the place and had it demoed in a day. Then the floor got chopped and dug up, and the old sewer lines removed. Soon new sewer lines were laid, the trenches filled in, and the concrete slab poured. At every step of the way, from demo, to framing, to drywall, to fixture installations, to two new window installations, to finishing paint, Aaron and Justin were stellar. Truly great guys. Friendly, extremely skilled, and great communication.

2. Excellent communication. You always hear horror stories about contractors -- that they talk a good game on the front end (when they're selling you on the job), but then they vanish for days or weeks at a time leaving you hanging. That NEVER happened on this job. Joe's estimate of eight weeks was EXACTLY right, to the day, despite the occasional challenge getting this or that from the supplier. Aaron and Justin showed up every day at the same time, and if they were going to be late I'd get a call from Ricky at Ideal letting me know why they would be late, and when they would arrive. Every day when they left they'd say goodbye and let me know the day's progress, and what was happening next. My time was COMPLETELY respected and, frankly, I didn't see that coming. They went above and beyond.

3. Excellent planning and coordination. Joe Clark did a fantastic job. Our first impression of Joe was surprising. He's not the sort of guy you normally meet in the construction and remodel industry. He never tries to sell you anything, or glad-hand you into doing something you don't want to do. He listens to all of your wild and crazy ideas, sorts through them, and turns them into possibilities. Then he humbly offers a set of options and alternatives. He just quietly gets things done without a lot of fanfare or noise. And his team (Aaron and Justin and others) respect him -- they all genuinely seem to get along and work extremely well together. Their calm excellence was a constant sort of comfort for Lori and I during this remodel process, a process that is unavoidably disruptive by its very nature.

The bottom line, we couldn't be happier. As I write this, the glass guys are here installing our new shower door and three mirror panels on Lori's sliding closet doors. All that's left is a few closet door handles on order, and for us to move back in. I can't wait to try out our new shower later today!

This was a major job, with a price tag to match. But the price was completely fair and within industry standards. And considering the across-the-board excellence of Joe, Aaron, Justin, Ricky, and Juan the electrician (and a number of other Ideal employees), it was absolutely money well spent.

Alfredo is FANTASTIC!!!
On New Years Eve our home had an electrical problem. All we knew was that the power went out and we smelt smoke! After contacting our landlord, we immediately contacted Alfredo. This would be his second job for us but we felt a little apprehensive calling him on a holiday. Nevertheless, he returned all call and came out in the morning to fix it.

With family in town and children everywhere Alfredo was very professional weaving through the traffic to successfully and efficiently repair our electrical problem. He even checked our electric heater to ensure we're using it safely!

Over the years we have used several different electricians with mostly poor results. But I am very confident that we have found a great electrician whom will continue to receive our business.

It's very rare to find honest and respectful proprietors who exhibit the quality and proficiency of Alfredo Carreno. I recommend Mr. Carreno and Brilliant Electric to all who need electrical service.

A light fixture in a bedroom stopped working.  They came out and charged $180 to 'diagnose' the problem, which, with a voltage tester would have taken them less than 10 seconds.  They wanted to charge an additional $200+ to install a light fixture - not even providing the fixture.  Luckily, I found out about it before they came out to do it, and had my handy-around-the-house hubby do it.  Put in a $30 light fixutre in under 5 minutes, and we were done - the only tool required was a screwdriver.  The whole job, even if you charged a travel fee and an hour minimum should have been less than the $180 they charged for the 'diagnosis'.  I tell everyone I know to avoid them!
