We recently had Alvarado Electric upgrade our electric panel (& subpanel) to larger amp in preparation for solar and David was great! He corrected the existing subpar patchwork arrangement and he and his assistant replaced it beautifully. He came early for all appointments, gave us clear explanations/bids, and worked seamlessly with the city and SDGE for permits/inspections.

We were so pleased with the quality of his work, we hired him to add an in- door switch for an outside water feature and make some lighting changes in our house. Again, they worked together to efficiently and professionally complete these projects for us. I love, love, love the lighting they did in our hallway and living room! Can't say enough good things about Alvarado Electric...we highly recommend them.

Had an issue with an exterior garage outlet that stopped working suddenly. Sent multiple requests out to Electricians for quotes. Most were overpriced and honestly gouging customers. Ramon responded quickly that he couldn't get out for over a week but offered some advise of potential easy DIY problems. After a few minutes troubleshooting he helped resolve the GFCI issue and probably saved my family $300+ dollars for a none issue. Highly advise anyone who is ethical enough to help people whether or not the get the business.

My previous 40A charger was not working.  I bought a new tesla 48A charger to replace the old one, and I called several electricians for installation.  One of them didn't want to do the work because he thought it would be a lot of work, and most of them didn't even  answer the call.

Ed answered the call and stopped by the next day.  It turns out the previous electrician used inappropriate wires and circuit breaker, and the circuit breaker was failing.

Ed replaced the old wire and the circuit breaker with newer ones that can support the higher current, and installed the new charger fairly quickly.  Ed diagnosed the problem, completed the job, and cleaned up afterwards within an hour. Thanks to Ed, now I can charge my car at home worry-free.

Clearly, Ed has done this type of work numerous times, and I recommend if you need help installing a new charger for your electric vehicle.

We needed an electrician to install our Ring Doorbell and Camera Floodlights. I had reached out to 3 or 4 electricians based on reviews in our neighborhood NextDoor app. My first appointment showed up, we walked the property, and they indicated they would email an estimate. I had two other electricians come out for quotes. The latter two never sent their quote. The first electrician sent a quote and then vanished. Several months later I found Horton Electric on Yelp. Tom, the owner, offered excellent advice about the install and provided his quote promptly. He also had installed Ring equipment prior to our visit. Tom installed our Ring equipment impeccably. We could not be happier. He is competitive, highly-skilled, an excellent communicator, responsible, professional, and delivers high-quality work. He is now our go-to electrician.

Called on a Tuesday and had a Wednesday morning appointment and solved by Wednesday afternoon! Technician was friendly, efficient.  Would absolutely hire again.

Lifesavers! They had availability on a Sunday morning to come and fix our whole house fan. Quick, efficient, and reasonably priced.

During the middle of a big downpour on a Saturday our sump pump went out. The problem was not with the plumbing but an electrical short that caused the system to shut down. We called Craig from Core Electric at 4 and he came right away. He worked on it to make sure it was safe and functional, staying until after 10 at night in pouring rain.

Craig was knowledgable, fantastic, a pleasure to work with, and a real professional who knew what he was doing. He was such a pleasant person to work with and explained everything in detail. He is the top of the list of electricians that I have worked with. I will definitely call him again and recommend him to anyone who needs an electrician--he's great at what he does and takes emergency calls which is huge.

We have used Ideal for electrical, plumbing and A/C service calls for the past 9 years. On the hottest day of the year (so far) our A/C stopped blowing cool air. Less than 5 minutes after scheduling an appointment for service Melissa rang us back; said she reviewed our service calls from when the home was being rented out and found the condenser breaker was tripped last year. When everything else is running why would I think breaker? Sure enough, that breaker was tripped again and Melissa saved us the trouble of suffering through a hot holiday weekend. Thank-you Melissa for the reliable, friendly and proactive service!

Just got off the phone with this company. They performed a very clever play on words on free estimates. As expected trying to imply the sale of an additional service. Also be careful with their Yelp AD because the person I spoke to was not knowledgeable of it. Did not love my experience at all.

We've used Zed Electric for several projects. We've also used another licensed electrician on a few occasions. The difference in workmanship and professionalism was an eye-opener for us. The city inspector found several issues with the work of the non-Zed contractor whereas all Zed Electric work passed with flying colors! We learned our lesson and are now grateful Zed Electric clients.
