Ben is so friendly. He was able to come out the next day. He was super patient. I was flustered caring for my children and Ben was super calm and did a great job explaining things to me. His prices are competitive. He did a great job! We will call him for our plumbing needs in the future.

Merari and Edgar did great work installing drop lighting above our kitchen island. They moved the electrical and installed new boxes that were centered on a two story house (much harder). The sheet rock patching and texture work was amazing! We had them back the next week to help us mount our tv above the fireplace with hidden wires. Super friendly, professional work!!

I've had these guys out twice and they are awesome! More details below, but here's the bottom line: If you have a home in Davis and especially if you have an older home, they are the people to call. They really know their stuff, won't upsell you, and are great problem solvers that will try to repair something before recommending an expensive replacement.

The first time they came to my home was to repair a running toilet. The tech (Billy) and the apprentice that came out were able to fix the toilet really quickly, but they have a one hour minimum policy for their service calls. So Billy actually asked me if I was having any other issues that he could take care of in the extra time! While they were here, he also unclogged a sink drain, and went in the crawlspace and took pictures of our pipes so I could see what everything looked like, as we had just bought the house and I had a bunch of questions about the plumbing.

A couple months later when our water heater went on the fritz, they were the first place I called. They again did an amazing job replacing the water heater, explaining every step of the process and answering our many questions. They even replaced the broken latch on the closet door! (Sometimes it's the little things.)

If I have any issues in the future (and I'm sure I will, given this house's track record so far) they'll be the ones I call.

Bonney is a scam artist company - they take advantage of the elderly and even have a past of doing it and being charged by the government for extortion.

Bonney charged me $350 for a fill valve, I felt ripped off, but left it be. They then added me to a membership I never asked to be added to, but allowed them to come service and tune up my new AC just because it'd make up for that $350 cost. The tech who came out was very nice, he said my bottom of my house ducts for their age look very good, and the ducts in my attic also look good, but two are bad and should be repaired or replaced. He'd call his boss to come look.

The boss came, he looked like some shady sales men. He did work got dirty by going under the house and came out I got bad news and then went in my attic More bad news.
Note: In my house only 1 room has bad air flow, the rest is GREAT. The bad air flow room was confirmed leaking in the attic by the first tech, and another company.

The sales guy then tried to tell me You should replace all your ducts, or at least your attic - and you should get a split system. I asked for quotes.
Quote 1: Replace all ducts: $17,680
Quote 2: Replace 6 ducts: $15,872
Quote 3: Split System (Add to any) $6,500

I told him no, I'm not doing that the issue is two ducts (See images, $52/duct) I called a second company - they said no duct work needs to be done outside those 2, and that to replace EVERY duct in my house would be $2500-$3500.
I showed my licensed neighbor these quotes and he laughed and said WILD he inspected my attic ducts and quoted me $100 for parts, $100 for his time and he will do the job.

The way Bonney has a membership no one signs up for shows how sketchy they really are. Its a way to invite them to your house to constantly lie about issues that are not issues. Their quoted prices every single time is unrealistically high.

Also, Bonney tried to tell me my brand new May 2023 electric water heater is bad and should be replaced for $4000 from them. (It was $1200 brand new, $1000 install/permits from home depot).

Avoid Bonney! They should be out of business, but a lot of older people fall for their nice charm from their sales and tech team. Just note - a repair is called a Sales lead to them.

Simply put: just not responsible or trustworthy.  He's trading on the fact that he's a Veteran - as am I - but he made two appointments with me and broke both - including one for which I told him I'd work from home for a whole day to accommodate his schedule.   It's important to me, as a Veteran, that those who trade on the fact they have served - do so responsibly and represent other Veterans well.  Not the case here... hoping he finds a way to become more professional, and only make commitments he can keep.

He showed up when he said he would be there. He ask me a few questions about the clog and went right to work. It was a very difficult clog and he worked for two hours until he got it cleared out. He cleaned out the pipe and went 50 ft. To make sure it was completely clear. He was very professional and made sure the area was clean when he finished. I will call Iggy's for my next plumbing job for sure.

Called based on yelp reviews hoping for the best ... I thought it would be more money based on the info I was given by pg&e, but when Huft arrived and soon after was finished, my tankless water heater just needed a deep cleaning. Highly recommend! Reliable, honest plumber - finally. I had a concrete slab leak  in our home he walked just through the process didn't make huge holes or start cutting up my. flooring, - he did the job efficiently and repaired the leak same day.

5 star experience with Ixtapa. I needed some intensive remodeling in my kitchen and these guys managed to knock down a wall, cover a door and build another one in a matter of two days. Not only they were blazing fast, but the quality of their work was top-notch, all of that for an unbeatable price. Alex and Jay, on top of being super nice guys are also extremely knowledgeable and their tips and tricks while I was doing some renovation myself in other parts of the house were more than helpful. We are already planning on having them doing some more construction work in our attic and our garage that we want to remodel into a studio. You are in expert hands with Ixtapa, I strongly recommend!

Spot-On-Service For Your Residential Plumbing Needs

SITREP

I rent an apartment from Nielsen Properties (aka Nielsen) here in Midtown Sacramento and I guess it was just time for my kitchen sink to *crash* completely:

1.  The faucet started leaking, but not just drops, it was a consistent small flow of water that I had to mitigate by using strong rubber-bands to compress the lever as close to the faucet as possible to reduce the flow;

2.  And unfortunately, only HOT water was coming out of the faucet - there was no cold water (so I had to kind of inconveniently mitigate this for myself by constantly traveling to the bathroom sink for glasses of water OR to the bathroom tub if needing to fill up a pitcher with cold water; and then on top of all that,

3.  This is also when the garbage disposal decided to crap out.

THE SETUP

So I was having a winner-July-month!  I just knew in advance that I would need (want) to be home during any repair work that transpired and unfortunately, I was work-traveling for most of June and July during the week (and so when I was home on the weekends, I had to endure these plumbing-indignities).  

So these irritations no doubt took longer than necessary since I wouldn't be able to sync up my schedule with a plumber until I would be home more regularly, WHICH as it turned out happened to be this week and the rest of the summer.

NIELSEN & ROONEY PLUMBING

Thankfully, Nielsen has a relationship with Rooney Plumbing (aka Rooney) so as soon as I put in a work request to Nielsen, Rooney was already on the ball contacting me to set up an appointment the very next day.

And actually the owner's nephew, Dylan, ended up being my plumbing-guy to rescue me from my plumbing predicaments.

GREAT WORK

Dylan did the visit to see what he was up against.  He noted the faucet issues and said he would head out to Home Depot to get the replacement faucet which would take care of the leak.

But before he left, he did some magic hand stuff with the garbage disposal under the sink, found some debris, noted a disconnected electrical line (because when I flipped the switch, there was not even a sound to the motor coming on), clicked some reset buttons on the disposal unit and got the unit working before he even walked out the door!  [That would have been a much more expensive headache if he had had to replace the entire unit, but he didn't have to.]

Dylan came back an hour later with a new sink faucet (newer model of the one I had before) and set it up - and no leak!  I should also state at this point, Dylan called in a work notice that the was turning off the water to my entire building (8 units) so he could continue the faucet replacement.

This was also necessary because when looking at the cause of only the hot water coming through my faucet, he discovered a clogged cold water line that he had to fix (DE-clog) in order to get that working again.

After doing the particulars, he turned the water to the building back on, and *whooosh*, my sink was working again with both Hot AND Cold water.  

THE LOWDOWN

I couldn't be happier to have a working kitchen sink again in all of its faucets (and faucets ;) ), and I am grateful to Rooney Plumbing for making this happen.

I've used this service several times and continue to be impressed. I had bad experiences with other plumbers not knowing what they're doing and creating ineffective solutions at my expense, so it's very important to me to be able to trust my plumber. Lunt Marymor has never let me down. They've repaired toilets, unclogged drains, replaced fixtures and fixed leaks, each done well within a reasonable billable period.

WOULD GIVE HIM A BIG ZERO.  He charges $500.00 an hour.  Will talk your ear off and comes all the way from Fowler.  
Relies on friends in the trades to get him customers they give him their customers numbers he sends them a message telling them they have an appointment with him.  The other guy does not tell you he gave this so called plumber your number UNSOLICITED.  
He gives lots of unsolicited advice but not much service which in the end does not require much time.  
HIS CHARGES ARE USURY .  WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM--- WAY TOO EXPENSIVE , CHARGES WERE USURY, USURY, USURY .  
Takes liberties uses your card number without your permission says he's sending you a receipt from his computer but doesn't.  Charged $432.00  to change one tiny part ,  indirectly sells solar negotiators service.  Do not use his service there are a host of other plumbers call them . DO NOT CALL HIM YOU WILL BE UNHAPPY.
