Have been so very helpful. Have had them fix a Waterheater and are working on some other issues. The people that have come to work are extremely competent and pleasant. They have followed the Covid guidelines to the letter.

I had a gas leak in my back yard that PGE confirmed but could not locate.  Bullseye plumbing told me I would need to repipe my entire house for gas because they could not locate the problem safely either.  I called Yolo Plumbing and immediately got a sensible and thoughtful response.  Joe (owner) and Koty came out within two days, carefully reasoned out where the leak should be, walked me through every step they were taking.  Isolated the leak by thinking about it in an experienced, rational way.  Then, they found and fixed it within the day.  Just remarkable service.  They were as invested in being able to succeed without costing me thousands and thousands of dollars as I was.  The work was done neatly and carefully.  My back yard was left in perfect order.  Everything was professional, honest, transparent and effective.  I could not recommend these guys more highly.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!  Joe (the owner) came out to check on an unusual problem we had with our toilet.  He spent considerable time investigating and determined that we really did not need anything to be replaced.  He did not charge us for the visit even though it took quite a while.  He explained everything wonderfully and was very kind and professional!  We have used Yolo plumbing in the past as well and the costs were very reasonable and the technicians did excellent work.  I would recommend Yolo plumbing to anyone - truly outstanding!

They are awesome!!! My husband spent 2 days and a 50 ft snake trying to unclog our plumbing line. Yolo plumbing came out and in 45 min and an 75ft snake unclogged our problem. They were friendly, honest and reasonably priced!

Yolo Plumbing fit us in on a busy day and fixed an emergency problem. They were fast, courteous, helpful, informative, affordable, and really easy to work with. I can't recommend them highly enough!!

Called Monday with a bad water heater. Tuesday - water heater replaced. Doesn't use bargain water heaters - these are the guys you use when you never want to deal with the problem ever again. Excellent service. I've used them a few times now and each time they've been professional and competent. This time I had a broken pipe outside although all I knew was there was water leaking. They came out, found the problem and fixed it straight away. I'll definitely continue to use them in the future. Very satisfied.

As a result of the excellent Yelp reviews, I called Yolo Plumbing for our plumbing issues. Joe, the owner, answered the phone and made an appointment for the same day. He was very kind and professional.  He and his assistant arrived on time and immediately took care of business. It is refreshing to deal with such an honest  and ethical tradesman who knows his stuff. I highly recommend him.

Work was fine, scheduling was easy, plumber was nice and did a good job. But ultimately, it was almost $400 to hook up a new gas dryer, even with an existing gas line. That's just ridiculous. The connection was slightly nonstandard so needed a few parts from the hardware store, took almost an hour to get back, while charging me an hourly rate.  It is a 5 minute drive to the hardware store, you can get there, buy the things you need (especially if you're a professional who knows what to look for) and get back well within 30 minutes. Charged me for the parts, with an up-charge on each item (I went to the hardware store and priced the items). When finished, sat in his truck for more than 30 minutes filling out the invoice, still charging me an hourly rate.  Why I have to pay for the time it takes to figure out how much to charge is beyond me.  I will never pay a plumber by the hour again and will not use Yolo Plumbing again.

Great experience! Fair price. Allen assigned Koty to replace our main bath faucets. It was a pleasure to meet Koty- he was personable, knowledgeable, and efficient. We plan to use Yolo Plumbing for any future projects and highly recommend them!

Contractors like this are hard to find.  I only wish this company serviced our area.

My in-laws have been using Yolo Plumbing in Davis for about 13 years.  They recently passed away and my wife and I are responsible for the estate which includes selling a 60 year-old home in Davis.  We live three hours away, so coordinating schedules was paramount.

We had a home inspection performed so we could address issues before putting the house on the market.  We trusted Yolo Plumbing to handle the plumbing repairs.

While addressing the repairs from the inspector's report, Billy identified another leak by performing a simple compartment check (filling a sink with water and then letting it drain).  The new discovery required a second appointment.  We scheduled to meet with Joe (owner) and Ian a couple weeks later to complete the work.

During the second appointment, Joe understood that we had traveled to get the plumbing and other work done.  He could not have predicted what he encountered, but he and Ian stayed until 8:00pm to complete the work!

It is apparent our home inspector did not perform the simple compartment check that Billy did.  Had a potential buyer ordered another home inspection that included this test, we could have lost a sale or been asked to reduce the price to compensate.

These are good people!  They're honest, friendly, professional, and reasonably priced.  They took the time to explain what is happening and  why.  They discussed issues with us before, during, and after repairs.  Their communication is excellent!

We are grateful that they took the time and effort to not only identify issues, but to stay three hours after their normal quitting time to complete the work so we didn't have to schedule another appointment.  Contractors like this are hard to find.  I only wish this company serviced our area.

Alan was very helpful on the phone in troubleshooting what the problem was with our kitchen sink leak.  Even though they were quite booked up, Alan got a technician in quickly after we emailed him a photo of the leak and he diagnosed a worn kitchen wand line.  We promptly went off to Home Depot to buy another fixture with a pull-out wand;  the technician arrived to install it soon thereafter.  Saved a lot of time and headaches.  NICE company!

Yolo Plumbing is awesome!  They came highly recommended by a colleague of mine and I'm glad I gave them a call.  I had a major leak under my kitchen sink that needed urgent repair and they were able to schedule me in right away.  They were VERY easy to work with and presented various options for keeping costs down. Just outstanding service.  I have used Yolo Plumbing a number of times now and they have never disappointed.  Always straightforward on their pricing with excellent customer service, and top notch work!  I couldn't give them greater praise.  Just an outstanding organization.

I called this afternoon to request service for one of our toilets and while I ended up canceling my appointment, I received great service over the phone.  My call was promptly answered, the guy who answered (Travis?) was knowledgeable, he was able to make a next-day service appointment for us, and asked me to send a photo to ensure that they had the correct parts on hand, all of which I appreciate.  I only cancelled the appointment because we were able to manage it in-house, but if I have something else that we can't handle, I'll def call back.

Joe ran a new gas line for our kitchen/laundry room renovation.  There were complications with the permits and joe went down to sort it out for no extra charge.  His guys stayed late in the evening to complete the job in one day.   Joe and his guys were professional and very accommodating.  They did quality work and the rates were reasonable.

I needed repiping done in my home.  This company wanted to charge me $180 for an estimate.  I received estimates from four other companies and none of them charged me for an estimate.  It seems like Yolo Plumbing wants to nickel and dime for everything.

I've used Yolo Plumbing four times now on a variety of projects. They've always been extremely responsive, talking me through many options, and helping me decide on the best path forward. Bill is one of the nicest dudes! He replaced my sewer line and my water heater. Excellent work! Couldn't be happier.

I have a pretty old house and Bill was able to identify some other issues and take care of them at the same time. If he hadn't found one in particular, it might have flooded my basement soon. Once he showed me, I didn't have to be a plumber to see that something was wrong.

We called Yolo Plumbing this Saturday morning at 11:30am for our 13 year old home in Woodland. We had a broken PVC line coming off the water main in the front of the house running into the irrigation system. It was leaking about an inch above ground level at the joint connector and we needed to replace the shut off valve to it too because it was corroded and wouldn't close completely, therefore the only way to stop the leak was to shut of the entire main line in to the house. Jeremy was there in an hour, removed the broken line and corroded valve and replaced them both in 1.25 hours. No leaks, the price was reasonable and the service was professional and honest. That's all you can ask for in a plumber! Thank you Yolo Plumbing!

The plumber was very polite and courteous.  He did a great job hooking up our new kitchen sink, although seemed to take a little longer than expected towards the end.  
The reason for the 3 stars instead of 5 stars is that it seemed to take him a while to hook up the water once everything was in place and once he was finished, when it was time to pay, it took him 45 minutes (while still on the clock) to put his tools away and figure out how much the parts cost so he could give me the final bill.  By that time, a job that should have taken max 1.5 hours took 2.5 hours.  He agreed the process of looking up the cost for the parts was really slow, but it definitely should not have taken 45 minutes.  I called the company and they refunded me for 30 minutes.  
If I use them in the future I think I will negotiate how long the job will take before they start, so I don't have any unexpected surprises like this time.

We had Yolo Plumbing service people out today and they were FABULOUS! They asked me a service question I have never been asked before, we haven't used up the whole service hour, what else can we help you with during the remaining time?  How cool is that?! They were very friendly, professional, and their work was excellent.

Great customer service from Yolo Plumbing. I have worked with them about 2 years ago to have a Hot water circulation pump installed. Timing and quality of work was spot on. Love the great and prompt communication via email and phone.

We recently had a new property purchase and wanted to see what options were available. Yolo plumbing and their staff, took a lot of time and did a bunch of back-end research to find options for us. Our kitchen and laundry drains are connected to the same drain line that serves that side of the house. It was plugged and we couldn't use the kitchen sink or wash laundry. Yolo Plumbing was recommended to us by one of their competitors who was super busy and couldn't get to our plugged line.

Yolo Plumbing came out the next day and snaked the plugged line all the way to the main line. The plumber encountered a hard blockage in the line that could only be cleared by a professional grade sewer line cleaner. I know because I tried using my home model sewer line cleaner and hit the blockage, but couldn't get passed it. The plumber ran the professional sewer line grade cleaner back and forth to insure that our line was clear before he left. Will definitely recommend them.

BEWARE. This company upcharged me for time the worker spent sitting in his vehicle in front of our house. I spoke to the owner, Yolo Joe who admitted they could not account for 30-40 minutes that they billed. He then proceded to ask for an upcharge, from the base 1 hour, of $30 instead of the slick $100 they tried to finesse out of us. Take in mind the job was a simple water heater flush and drain inspect. They might of been an honest good bunch at ome point but seem to have strayed far away from their local award winning reputation. Look elsewhere if your lookin' clean folks.    : /    Jan. 2020

Our house is old, and we've had some crazy issues with our pipes the last few years. We had a flash flood in our bathroom this Sunday and ended up calling Yolo Plumbing. Our technician was Bill Joseph, and OMG he was AMAZING! I noticed that the last couple of people we used were a bit cocky, and took their sweet ass time getting here, AND getting the job done. Bill did neither. He kept us updated with every single thing he did, and let me tell you, he was MOVING. He wasn't wasting our time, or his, and he was SUPER professional and really really nice. I can't recall the name of the lady who returned my call and set up the appointment, but she was very nice also, and although they were having a very busy day, she managed to get us in the same day, and Bill spent about four hours getting the job done (and it ended up being a BIG job!). The last guys we called never even showed up for the appt they set, and the next ones that did took TWO DAYS to do something that should've MAYBE taken one. I really appreciated the professionalism and punctuality of this company, and again, Bill Joseph was AWESOME and really knew his stuff. I'd HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone in this area. They're THE BEST!!

I had been usingg one of the larger companies that kept me on a three-year member plan that was meant to give reduced pricing, yet every time I needed a repair the plumber would pull out his fixed-rate manual with exhorbitant prices.  So, I decided to try Yolo  Plumbing for a tub spout change, and I am glad I did.  The whole process of setting an appointment to completing the job was handled professionally with no pricing gimmicks.  Joe did a very neat job, didn't leave a mess, and charged a fair price.  I highly recommend this company.

Simple: Joe and his coworker gave a very fair estimate to replace a leaking water heater along with rerouting gas lines. They both went the extra mile in making sure everything was neatly in place and working.

Yolo Plumbing/Bill Joseph came to my house to replace and repair the plumbing after the tenants did some major damage with their wrench. Bill explained and pointed out where, why, and how the faucets were broken and fixed all of the problems. He was fast, efficient, and left everything neat, clean and working well once again. Absolutely terrific service. The owner Joe is so knowledgeable and his work is so reasonably priced. I've had a problematic drain line for awhile and not only did Joe clear the line he also did some in-depth diagnostics so we could figure out a strategy for a more permanent long-term fix. Value and knowledge were way above the previous plumber I hired.

Great service.  They had to replace two faucets and the job had some complications due to cheap sinks, etc. that the builder had originally installed.  Yolo Plumbing did very nice work, and were easy to communicate with.  We will definitely use them again!

I called Yolo Plumbing for my mom and Joe and his assistant came out to my moms right away.  Gave a quote and came back the next week and took care of the repairs efficiently and professionally.  Excellent and would definitely call them again.

Outstanding service! I called on a holiday (today) and even though i didnt leave a message, Joe called me right back and walked me through some extensive troubleshooting of my bath tub drainage problem. Having already been under my house to take apart the drains and snake them I was able to accurately describe my pipe setup, and Joe took a long time on the phone to go over the problem, potential solutions, and steps to take before calling him out. Following Joe's advice I was able to fix the problem, but if there is ever another problem I can't overcome I'm calling these guys. I can't thank Joe enough for the time and patience he gave me. Outstanding 5-star service!

They really treat you right even after the job is something comes up. The difference between them and anyone else is that they really want the customer to be happy, which on all occasions I have used them (3 now) they've stood behind that philosophy.

I had Joe come out to do some work at my Mom's house yesterday and mentioned that I had some work to be done at my place too. He quickly made an appointment  for today, faced several daunting tasks, and did extra work that we hadn't planned for. The price was reasonable and he was more than efficient...in fact, I was shocked how much he got done as quickly as he did. I've seem Joe do hot water heater work,  two very nasty plumbing jobs (a toilet and a sink/garbage disposal problem), and some general plumbing work...I will definately be calling him again.

I had a really great experience with these guys today.  I had them recess a gas line into the wall behind my range and replace a leaking hose bib.  I was able to talk over a couple options for the gas line with Alan and he got me scheduled very quickly.  Bill and David came out did a great job.  They were friendly and efficient.  They even re-lit the pilot light on the water heater so I didn't have to call PG&E to come out to do it.  They don't patch dry wall, but they gave me a couple of recommendations for people to call.  I would definitely hire them again for future plumbing jobs.

We own an older home in Woodland and had Yolo Plumbing out to look at our dishwasher (water backing up; not up to code). Before anyone even came out the owner and office gal tried to help us troubleshoot over the phone. I was very impressed with their concern and professionalism towards us when we hadn't even met in person.  The only downside was waiting a week for the appointment but I imagine they schedule it that way in order to be able to serve customers with actual emergencies. I believe it was Jeremy that came out; he was friendly, professional, offered a lot of helpful but easy to understand information and discussed with us some of the plumbing issues that often arise in older homes like ours. There are probably cheaper plumbers out there but you get what you pay for and we will happily call Yolo Plumbing again if need be.

Yolo Plumbing did well on a small job to replace a water shut-off value for our water softener.   The technician, Bill, was on time, professional and finished the job within one hour.

Excellent reliable response - we had water heater problems and they were very detailed and careful and prompt in their response.

I thought this place had excellent service but as soon as the receptionist answered the phone she was rude and didn't even get me an appointment.  Not professional and worse service I've ever gotten. Not even one star but I had to put something

Used before, but now they seem too full of customers & themselves. Made an appt after leaving message for a person to return my call for 3 days ahead on the calendar. The day of the appointment,  an hour before scheduled time, I  received a recorded call saying something prevented their keeping the appointment  and if I  wanted to reschedule, I  was to call them and reschedule  another possible cancellation. They obviously have more customers than they need. So I  called a competitor and had another plumber within 2 hours and not once dealt with a recording. I guess it depends on your  definition of customer service.  Jay

These guys are great!  I have been dealing with plumbers who use scare tactics to get a larger job, or never call back or never show up.  With Joe and Jeremy, you know that someone is going to show up, do the job according to common sense and code requirements, and are reasonable and dependable.  They came back when the inspector had a problem with the hot water heater hookup, and they worked very hard to comply with city code.  I will never call anyone else for plumbing services again, and I hope they stay in business a good long time.  Can't recommend them enough.

I am leaving a 5 star review, because, on June 26, Yolo Plumbing employee Alan, took the time to talk to my Mom and I, about a plumbing problem we were having.   We felt the problem was rather urgent.  Alan had us send a video of the leak and assured us it was not urgent.   He also counseled us to contact our water softener company, instead of a plumber.

A less honest company would have come out just to collect a big, fat emergency plumbing fee.

Everything worked out great.   We got great, professional advice, and feel that Yolo Plumbing is a very honest, trustworthy business.   We will certainly call them whenever we have a plumbing issue in the future.

Yolo Plumbing fixed our main water line leak that was sending water down the street. They were competent to correctly assess the problem and were available to fix it promptly. They were a real blessing for us. They were honest and fair in their bid. I trust them to do honest work. I will call them again for any future plumbing needs we may have.

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Yolo Plumbing.  We wanted to replace our clawfoot with a more contemporary freestanding tub.  We talked to a different plumber first who simply told us to replace it with a clawfoot and did not even want to give us an estimate for what it would be to replace it with a different type of tub.
Our experience with Yolo Plumbing was the opposite, before coming to give an estimate they asked for pictures of our bathroom, measurements, and details on the tub we wanted to replace it with.  They did a lot of homework before even coming to provide an estimate (which was free!).
During the estimate, they took their time to draw out where the new tub would be placed to give us a very clear idea of how wide, high, deep it will be.  When installation time comes, it was as smooth as can be and we couldn't be happier.

I couldn't recommend them more highly, and Yolo Plumbing will always be my go-to plumber.

They initially scheduled an appointment for a week or so later but later called to say they had the part and could come that same day.  The plumber who showed up was polite, quick, and clear in his explanations.  He had to fix two other loose connections and a stuck faucet, previously undetected, before he could address the problem we had noticed.

Everyone that I communicated with prior to the appointment was really helpful and it was clear that they weren't just trying to score a one-time job, but a loyal customer. Billy was wonderful--professional, friendly, and worked hard to solve my problem (and with a sense of humor!). I had a clogged toilet that turned out to be a much bigger job, because roots had overgrown the piping. It was definitely more expensive than I hoped due to the scope of the issue, but I still felt pricing was fair. I'd definitely recommend Yolo Plumbing to folks in the area. Will definitely call for my future plumbing needs. Thanks guys!

Excellent plumber.  Called at 9AM, came by noon, as quoted.  The work was to replace a leaking shut-off valve.  Bill was great.  He showed me the gate type vs. a ball valve, and recommended the ball valve for longevity.  The actual work was performed quickly and professionally.  

I'll be calling Yolo Plumbing for future plumbing needs.

I highly recommend Yolo Plumbing.  We had a seriously clogged kitchen sink that required the line to be snaked.  Over 60 feet it turns out! I left a message and my call was promptly returned. This is a small, independent family business and they were booked out a week in advance when I called; by asking to be in line to take any last minute cancellations, they came out at the end of the following day.  The owner, Joe Weins, who was assigned to our job, is professional, friendly, honest and competent.  I will give Joe my business again with no hesitation.

I AM SO PLEASED! Bill from Yolo Plumbing came out the next day. I was told it could be anywhere from a 2-4 hour job quoted $250-450 (just an estimate). Bill was great. Super friendly  and walked us through everything he was doing. He didn't mess around when it came to taking his time or doing unnecessary things.  He unclogged a clog from our main line & used a camera to check our pipe all done within 1.5 hours costing only $200ish. I am very pleased and will use them again!

These guys are the best! I have used them several times and they are extremely helpful and capable.  If there's a way to save money they will tell you.  I have had them work on various projects from flushing water heaters to installing new parts.

I have called Yolo Plumbing twice, once for a broken water heater,  and once for a repeating sewer line back-up.  They did not try to sell me a new heater but fixed mine by replacing a part.  They persisted with the plugged sewer line probably beyond where it met the city line and it has been working well so far.  I have been very happy with their promptness, their knowledge, and their reasonable prices.  I will call again.

Yolo Plumbing Inc in Yolo County just left my home on a sewer line repair. Bill was the man that was sent to do an unpleasant job and had my fears removed instantly. I knew my problem was now his and he knew how to fix it. I watched the work because I wanted to see what the problem was and he let me. This company is one of integrity and honesty and CARES about the people who trust them. I saw the quality work preformed and knew he gave me his best. I give them the highest rating possible and my problems are now theirs.

Yolo Plumbing is awesome! I had a toilet which decided to leak a few days before Thanksgiving (oh noooo!). The folks at Yolo Plumbing were pretty buzy but managed to get my toilet problem fixed quickly and very reasonably. I highly recommend them since they were so responsive to my water leak problem and their plumbers were very skilled, polite and worked quickly and efficient. Much thanks to Alan for getting my small job squeezed into their already busy schedule, and to Bill and Koty who were the terrific repair team!

WOW! A true five-star review for a true five-star company. We had a slight leak from a tub upstairs and also a minor problem with our water heater. I called over to Yolo plumbing as they were recommended to us. We left a voicemail and within 30 minutes we got a callback. 30 minutes after that the plumber was at our front door and ready to help. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem and fix it immediately. He also provided helpful suggestions to us to help with our water quality in the future. If you are looking for a plumbing company in the Yolo area, do yourself a favor and call these guys. Their prices are also extremely reasonable! Great restaurants, wonderful massages, facials...stuff we love to YELP about...right?  But sometimes you just have to deal with the basics in life!  

My kitchen sink faucet broke off today and I am unable to use it.  Which means a big pain in the you know what:).  I really have more important and fun things to do during the holiday season than washing dishes in my Laundry Room!

Like a smart YELPER would do...I read reviews and selected three plumbing businesses to call for estimates.  Which brings me to Yolo Plumbing!   I am YELPING today about the great over-the- phone assistance Alan provided!  A true professional who represents his Company well.  Patiently explained to me that my job should take no longer than 1.5 hours and reviewed all prices.   I really appreciated his knowledge and actually taking the time to answer all my questions in a kind, professional manner.  But another company was available to fix the job tomorrow!  So I went with them.  I would use Yolo Plumbing in a heart beat if it were not an emergency!  

If I feel safe with Yolo Plumbing so can you!  Thanks Alan!

Addendum: I wish I would have waited 2 days for YOLO Plumbing :-( The plumber I selected ....while doing acceptable work, was very sneaky with his billing for the hours he worked. Or I should say the hour he did not work! Stay tuned for that review. Next time I will select the company with the longer in business  proven record.  Live and learn.

Love these guys - quick to respond to requests, arrive when they say they will come, really try to troubleshoot and explain your options to balance best result with cost. Have used them twice and they will be my go to business for plumbing needs.

I called Yolo Plumbing Inc on a Friday morning, and the owner Joe quickly returned my phone call, and a few hours later he made time to come to my house and fix my pesky shower! He was personable and his price was very reasonable! Fast, efficient, friendly service; it's the way companies SHOULD be today. I will definitely be calling Yolo Plumbing Inc when I have any plumbing issues.

I've had these guys out twice and they are awesome! More details below, but here's the bottom line: If you have a home in Davis and especially if you have an older home, they are the people to call. They really know their stuff, won't upsell you, and are great problem solvers that will try to repair something before recommending an expensive replacement.

The first time they came to my home was to repair a running toilet. The tech (Billy) and the apprentice that came out were able to fix the toilet really quickly, but they have a one hour minimum policy for their service calls. So Billy actually asked me if I was having any other issues that he could take care of in the extra time! While they were here, he also unclogged a sink drain, and went in the crawlspace and took pictures of our pipes so I could see what everything looked like, as we had just bought the house and I had a bunch of questions about the plumbing.

A couple months later when our water heater went on the fritz, they were the first place I called. They again did an amazing job replacing the water heater, explaining every step of the process and answering our many questions. They even replaced the broken latch on the closet door! (Sometimes it's the little things.)

If I have any issues in the future (and I'm sure I will, given this house's track record so far) they'll be the ones I call.

Summary: Simply the best experience I have had with plumbing services in and around Davis.  All of the characteristics you look ( and hope) for in trades people: on time, knowledgeable, professional, customer service oriented and with reasonable rates!

Issue: Odd (foul) smell in the kitchen.  Previous plumbers had investigated and were suggesting a re-piping solution.

Yolo Plumbers  - Bill and Justin - first wanted  to discuss any and all  background information I had.  (What, when, where etc etc.) Armed with this information they proceeded to eliminate possible causes by checking the obvious first and progressing to the more complex.  After about 45 minutes they pulled the dishwasher out and identified the root cause of the odor; name, an old mouse nest.

Throughout the entire process they kept me informed as to their progress and made a couple of suggestions regarding how to improve the operating characteristics of my plumbing system as they put things back together.  I felt no pressure to add these suggestions to the work being done.

Overall I would recommend Yolo Plumbing to anyone needing this type of service.

Repaired a leaking toilet which required replacement of a valve I was sure was rusted tight, but it was no problem for Billy. He also solved a flow issue with our shower. Will definitely use them again. Highly recommended.
