Best Electricians in California
Excellent service from Brian. Saturday morning, half the power in our home was out and we were desperate for help. Brian was the first to respond that he was available and came out within the hour. No other electricians were able to come out. He was professional, identified the problem, explained everything, resolved the issue quickly and the price was reasonable. He will be the first we call in the future. Thank you Brian!

Seems I am the first one writing reviews for Mega Power. They actually had more reviews for the LA branch. I read those reviews and I can tell that Gary really cares about his reputation.
OK, my story. I was thinking of installing solar in early 2022, after learning NEM 3.0 in California would be delayed indefinitely. I started my journey with energysage.com, and got quotes from 6 local installers, including Mega Power Electric Inc. I've also reached out to SunPower, and left my contact at Sunrun in Costco. I finally decided to work with Mega Power for these reasons: 1. many positive reviews; 2. their price is very competitive; 3. I work directly with the owner German (Gary), who actually does the job. No sales; no project managers. While those sales people are nice and professional, the process is just as as efficient as talking directly with Gary. Mega Power does everything very fast. Gary came to our house and took some pictures; went back and shared his initial plan; we wanted two additional panels; Gary revised the plan (within 24 hours). One or two weeks later, Gary and his people were on my roof. Installation of 24 panels was done within one day. City inspector initially had questions about the ground wire. Gary and his team came back another time, and finished #4 ground wire upgrade within a couple of hours. Passed city inspection. Getting approvals from PG&E (final step) was a long story. Gary and Mega Power did whatever they could to help and I appreciate that. Overall experience with Mega Power was quite positive. Definitely recommend Mega Power for their efficiency, work quality, and communication. Additional data points I would like to share: while Gary and his team worked on installation, I was busy filing complaints with another company for their no show activity in the very first scheduled meeting. Oh, my wife and I already recommended Mega Power to another lady. I probably should collect some referral fee from Gary.

I had them come to my home today to do some work. They were prompt and got the job done quickly. I know it wasn't cheap but it was reasonable. I have paid much more for other electricians in the area. Highly recommend Al Smith Electric.

Natalie is friendly, transparent, professional and knows her stuff. She helped us troubleshoot and fix some faulty light fixtures that two other electricians hadn't been able to correctly repair.
Highly recommend and would absolutely hire her again!!

Very glad that we found Tyler through Yelp! Right from the start, he was hyper responsive, which I really appreciated. He worked very quickly and efficiently to install a light fixture in my home office. Would hire him again for sure!

Ivo responded to my quote request and immediately came out the following day. His work is great and at a fraction of the price of all the other electricians. I will be definitely be using Ivo for all of my home electrical needs from now on.

Excellent service and results! New home owner that needed to have some electrical outlets replaced and they were able to get someone to come out and fix it within the week. Their technician Chris came out and was very friendly and did an excellent job of fixing the issue as well as being very informative about the cause and how to avoid it. If I need any more work done in the future I will definitely be requesting him to come and resolve the issue.

Ryan is a lifesaver! We bought an older house last year so many pieces are old and giving out or were improperly done by the previous owner. Ryan spent more than a week helping us with big jobs like tearing out dry rot and redoing wood siding (woohoo he matched the paint despite a clueless store employee trying to give him the wrong shade and special ordered our wood siding that other handymen said weren't sold anymore), trim, realign, sand down, and paint an old door that wouldn't close, and replace several leaking pipes under the house. It was thousands of dollars of work which hurt, but Ryan tried really hard to help us save money with alternative options to repair and being honest when a job was smaller than originally quoted so we could have a small discount to be fair. He saved our door, got original hardware moved so it worked without replacing it, and crawled under the house multiple times extra just to get me photos/video of a surprise leak that popped up on the other side of the house during the final walk through. I was able to prevent mold and rot under my house thanks to him going above and beyond our contract. Ryan came to work even sick with the flu because I was trying to meet a deadline and beat a rainstorm. He's a good local guy and does volunteer work for local school sports teams to give back to the community too. We've got your cards and will be calling again for the next repair in this little old house, thanks Ryan!

John Hope Electric did a good job with a good price on my home outdoor lighting. So I called them again to do install a new fixture and re-do some plugs and also look at some track lighting for my rental. They quoted the work on a T&M basis and I noted how long they worked. While they did good work, the billing department sent me a bill which reflected a much longer, obviously approximate time (2 guys for a half day) which after asking questions, they started handwaving this included travel time, and set-up time. After I called them out that no one charges for any of that, and I told them I was there and the times did not line up. They did settle with me on the right charges but I did not appreciate having to police their hours, have to call them on this, and argue with the company about the bill. I am not going back to John Hope, I am sorry they did really nice work, spoiled by the accounting dept bad experience

Sam was terrific helping me fix the issues created when we had a PG&E transformer blow up on our street. It blew out my garage door opener, my doorbell, 2 GFI outlets, my Keurig coffee machine, my Sonicare toothbrush and several other things in my house. Sam came in and quietly and efficiently fixed everything, and at a very reasonable price.
Thanks. Marilyn

I called Cross Electrical at 9am on Monday and left a message. My call was returned in 10 mins.
Thomas showed up within 30 mins once he found out I was without power over the weekend.
He arrived wearing a mask and told me he would be dropping his mask occasionally to smell for electrical burns. Which is important these days.
After investigating several wall outlets he discovered the cause of the electrical burn odor was due to a blown transformer in the garage.
He replaced the transformer and only charged me for the actual price of the part and one hour of labor. He even checked my circuit box to make sure there were no problems there.
Cross Electrical are honest, prompt, respectful and very affordable. You can trust this company.
It's very hard these days to find someone who isn't out to gouge you for money.
Cross Electrical is definitely going to be my go-to for any electrical issues I may have. Plus they are local in Fremont.
Thank you Thomas!!!

Alvaro did a great job installing my Tesla wall charger. His many years of electrical experience was obvious as he evaluated not only the installation location at the side of the house, but also the whole of the electrical system to ensure code compliance and safety. He did the installation quickly while explaining each step of the procedure. Now my Tesla is charging at a sweet Level 2 rate that I am confident will not burn down my house.

I have had Dave's Electric do numerous electrical repairs on my house. They are prompt, courteous, efficient and always competitively priced. I wouldn't ever use anyone else. I have referred several friends and neighbors to Dave's Electric and everyone is pleased and satisfied with the work. If you need electrical work, do not hesitate to call Dave's Electric they are the very best and I can't say enough good things about them.

Reached out to Bob for an estimate on a whole house rewire. Even though he doesn't specialize in big jobs, he took the time to speak to me and gave me advice on how to go about the process.

Jose and his team were great to work with. They were on time, professional, responsive, and knew how to resolve the issue at a fair price. I plan to continue using them for electrical work in the future.

I hired for a Tesla charger installation in my home garage. Sent an email in the am, very quickly Arash called me and set up a time to come for initial inspection for same day. Cale by in the evening and performed the installation which took a couple hours. Clean installation process from start to end. He knows his stuff and will definitely recommend him.

Our home was built in the 70's and has the original electric panels. As a safety precaution, we had Jim check it out. Jim was very understanding and was easy to work with. He was very knowledgeable and what he didn't know he was not afraid to say. He did tons of research before coming to us with the best solution. We felt comfortable enough for him to do the upgrade while we were away. Thanks Jim
