We highly recommend this company! We were desperate as to one of our tenants had no power for more than a day. Brian was the third electrician we had booked an appointment for our emergency issue. He accommodated us in such short notice and was the only one that was able to resolve the issue. Brian is very experienced, honest and communicative with the process. It was truly pleasure working with Brian.

We really enjoyed working with Brian! He was professional and considerate to ensure he doesn't charge us more time than needed. We hired him to hang a chandelier in the stairwell which was a bit tricky but Brian was able to figure out a way to do it.

We will definitely give him a call again for future electrical work!

No call, no show.  Had an appointment with Brian at 3pm.  He texted me after 3pm to let me know he wasn't going to make it.  Not very helpful as I'd already gone out of my way to be available at this time.  Professional courtesy would have been a reasonable heads up.  Will take project elsewhere.

Brian was extremely helpful and came out to take a look at a few questions and even a couple issues I am having at home with Solar- Inverter and some light fixtures. Very honest and informative! The day I need an Electrician again this is first person I am calling! Highly recommending to any and everyone.

The owner of the company is super personable, efficient and does great work. We hired him for a small electrical job outside our home. He gave a reasonable quote and offered  quality advice on things above and beyond. Super work!

We had a well pump installed , but the plumber could not figure out the wiring, so we called Brian. He came within the hour, he was great, polite, knowledgeable and got the job done in 40 minutes.

Brian did a great job troubleshooting and fixing a problem and pointing out some potential future issues with our ancient panel.  He clearly enjoys his trade.  Since I am a bit of a do it yourselfer, he gave me lots of info on how to handle some typical problems.

I set up an appointment with Brian to get an estimate at my house a month ago. He never showed, didn't call to let me know that he wasn't coming, and never heard from him to reschedule.

Brian wasn't able to help me within the timeframe I needed as he was going to be out of town. BUT, he took the time to text me back to recommend another electrician. For his kindness and knowing that I needed help and because he was open to sharing a resource with me, Brian at Archbold Electric gets 5 stars.

Brian is awesome! He installed our dining room pendant lights in about 2 hours. Called him on a Saturday and he was in by Monday (maybe I got lucky with his availability).  He'll be our go-to electrician from now on! (Until he retires to Tahoe, that is :) )

I've been looking for an electrician for 6 months with broken promises and frustration so I sen my father to Yelp when he had a problem.  He found Archbold and immediately liked the owner on the phone.  The amazing thing is that HE SHOWED UP and DID THE WORK!  

My dad had never used Yelp before and he let me know how happy he was and what a find Archbold is.  He also personally like the owner and said he was an interesting guy.

I contacted Archbold Electric due to an issue in our garage.  Considering my knowledge of electrical issues is minimal, my default was to contact an expert to try and get fixed.  Fortunately, the fix was very simple over the phone saving me much $$ in time/effort to have someone out to get diagnosed.  Thanks again!

Had an issue with my EV charger in the garage. Brian diagnosed it right away as a loose wire overheating the breaker. Had a replacement in the truck and replaced it in less than an hour. Cars charging normally now, no issues!

Honest electrician!

We called right before the holidays because our garage door wouldn't open after the storm. Many of our calls went unanswered due to the holidays, but Brian answered and was willing to give us an appointment that same day to help us out. Upon describing the situation, Brian suggested he help me fix it over the phone to save us money and so we could be unblocked as soon as possible. I followed the steps he described and the garage door worked. Brian saved the day!

It's really hard to find honest good people who aren't looking to exploit a situation. Brian lent us his time and expertise for free to help us out. Thank you so much Brian. We really appreciate it!

This is the very definition of an honest business. I called with what I thought was an emergency the evening before I was supposed to go on a family trip to Disneyland. Every light in my house had dimmed and started to flicker, and all of the light indicators on my electrical outlets turned red. I didn't have a clue what was going on, but I knew I had to do something fast.

I called Archbold Electric and explained my emergency. Instead of trying to exploit my panic about the situation, the owner told me he wanted to save me some money and ran some FREE trouble-shooting with me over the phone. He then (correctly) diagnosed that the issue was with PG&E, and provided me with their emergency contact number. The issue was promptly resolved by PG&E later that evening.

I very much appreciated Archbold's honesty and integrity. The next time I have a situation requiring an expert electrician, I know who I am calling.

Had a great experience. After calling another electrician who quoted us a very high rate to come by, I called Archbold. The owner (?) who answered was really helpful - he shared his rate which was more reasonable than the other one we were quoted; and better yet he helped us trouble shoot it over the phone for free such that we didn't need a visit at all. Will definitely call them the next time we need work done!!

I had a bit of a problem because my large GE oven was installed improperly and only the 110 work but it was not hooked up with the 220 so I looked on yelp and discovered Archbold electric here. He answered on the third ring and was able to come out the same DAY.
You can't get better than that!

Brian is incredibly knowledgable, helpful, and honest. We called him when the entire power went out in the house. After we described what had happened, Brian was able to provide an educated guess at to what had happened and rather than coming over to charge us a fee to take a look he said it was most likely an issue that the city could fix for free. Turns out he was right! There had been a power outage within a small area where we were and the city utilities came to take a look and resolved the issue.

Without Brian's help, we would not have known what to do and likely would have had to spend some money for an electrician to come take a look. I am incredibly impressed that he was able to figure out the exact issue just from hearing a vague description of what had happened through the phone.

His technical expertise really showed, but what impressed me the most was how much he cared. I could tell right away from talking to him on the phone that he wasn't just after making a quick buck (why else would he suggest me calling the city to fix it free). He was genuinely concerned about us not having power in the house and offered to have us call him back right away if it turns out the issue wasn't something related to the utilities company.

Recently installed a DIY hot tub and needed all the electrical hook up done and outlets installed for the accessories. Chris shows up on time, was polite, smart, hard working and just a nice guy. My wife and I were both impressed. It was a full day job and everything worked as hoped. We have used them on other projects with the same level of service. Good value and good work.

I've been meaning to write a review based on my recent experience when Brian. He came to my house to inspect some potential suspect electrical after we had two new appliances malfunction. He was prompt, very thorough, honest and incredibly personable. The personable part isn't as important as other attributes, but it's nice to find an electrician who is knowledgeable, experienced and nice :)

After about 15 minutes of inspecting our service panel and PG&E connections, he was fairly certain that the problem was on the power company's end and not because of our in home electric. He was right, but insisted upon inspecting our inside panel and the connections behind the dryer. All this was done in less than one billable hour. He even made the call to PGE to get some to our house asap. If you want someone who does their due diligence, knows what they are doing, is honest, AND is nice, call Archbold Electric!

In my experience, the owner Brian is a stand up honest guy.  We had a lighting issue that other folks were quoting us $200-300 to fix.  Brian gave us some advice to fix it ourselves, and we were able to do so for $10.

Excellent service from Brian. Saturday morning, half the power in our home was out and we were desperate for help. Brian was the first to respond that he was available and came out within the hour. No other electricians were able to come out. He was professional, identified the problem, explained everything, resolved the issue quickly and the price was reasonable. Brian and Chris were excellent today doing an install on our new Nest doorbell. BRIAN GOT BACK TO ME VERY PROMPTLY, was able to schedule the work quickly, showed up on time, and did the work with no fuss whatever. Also they were incredibly courteous to my wife and I. Will definitely make Archbold Electric my go-to electrician!

I could not have been happier about my experience with Brian and Archbold Electric.  He responded quickly to my call, and was able to fit into my somewhat difficult schedule (due to the fact that I was working around renters that were coming and going).  He made a number of suggestions that were immensely helpful and then did the work quickly and at what I felt was a really reasonable cost.  He brought in Chris to do some of the work and he also seemed great.  I highly recommend!

Brian is awesome. He answered his phone, came out the same day, fixed our fuse problem for a reasonable price and advised us at length on recommended panel replacement. Very nice and very professional. He's our guy from now on. :)

I had Brian and Chris install an electric car charger at our house. Brian was prompt coming over and telling me what needed to be done, and Chris was also right on time and finished the work in the exact amount of time he estimated. The installation is faultless and exactly what I wanted.  I highly recommend them and will be using them as my standard service from now on!

I can't comment on the quality of Brian's work. My only experience with him was when we spoke on the phone, we agreed to a date and time for him to come look at the job, the day came, and he was a no-show, no-call.

We recently purchased a home built in 1952 that still had its original electrical system. We solicited bids from three electricians and ultimately hired Archibold to upgrade the service to 200 amps and handle a long list of upgrade and replacement work throughout the home.

This is the third old home that we've purchased and updated and after working with Brian and his crew, we have to say that they are first rate electricians.  Neat, clean, knowledgeable, thoughtful and all at a fair price.

When dealing with power surges and humming in the light fixture when using my hair-dryer at the same time, along with a myriad of other little electrical oddities, I would like to say that Brian had excellent trouble-shooting skills. He was able to assess my situation in a timely fashion as well as make recommendations that were resourceful and helpful. He was able to help resolve my issues right away. He is also very prompt and thorough in his response times. I would use him again for sure.

A few months ago we lost power at our house. Fortunately my husband got Brian's number from another electrician and gave him a call. Brian was able to come up to the house and take a look at our situation. Not only did he get half of the house back up, but he came back the next day and finished the job. We had another company come up before Brian, their quote was 10x more than Archbold Electric and they claimed it would take up to 6 weeks. Thanks to Brian we did not go broke and wait weeks to solve the problem with our electricity. I will definitely be calling Archbold Electric in the future.

My family and I have used Archbold Electric for many years now on various projects. The owner, Brian, is very personable and easy to work with! We used a contractor before that claimed to be specialized in electric work and were disappointed. I recommend going with someone that specializes in electrical over a one stop construction company! You'll save a lot of money but not having to redo faulty work like we had to. Hope that helps.

Brian was able to fix my light switch problem in less than an hour, and charged less than other electricians. I texted him a picture of the light switch, and he came to my house at the appointed time, new light switch in hand. He noticed that the color was a bit off so he went to the nearest hardware store to find a dimmer switch that would match better. He returned promptly and fixed my switch, all at a reasonable rate. I would recommend him.

I have used Brian Archbold as an electrician on many different jobs. He completely wired in my Photovoltaic solar system and is always responsive and knowledgeable. He is honest and has great staff.

I asked Brian to help me with an update of a property of ours' meters. Brian made this process easy to handle. He was polite, knowledgeable, and very professional. He was really easy to work with and he answered communications quickly. He was fast at getting this project completed and his pricing very fair. He was a great help and he will be our go to electrician. Highly recommended.

I first contacted Brian a few years ago to fix a kitchen outlet that didn't work.  Another time he replaced a bathroom fan and rewired it because the dingleberry who originally installed it used lamp wire.  I recently had Brian and his crew do all the electrical on our home remodel.  He quoted a fair price and he and his crew worked quickly.  His work is so neat and organized. He even labeled every wire at the outlet boxes! Wow!  He then got rid of the knob and tube that we were no longer using.  He always has a cheerful attitude and is great at advising me on electrical products -- even recommending the type of heated flooring I should get in my bathroom.  He knows all the latest products.  We made a couple of small changes but that was no problem -- he took care of it with a good attitude.  He is very trustworthy and conscientious. I will definitely use him in the future and recommend him to everyone. If I could give him 10 stars I would.

We were in need of some rewiring in the attic ahead of a HVAC installation. Brian was quick to respond to a general quote request through Yelp and came out a couple of days later to give a more comprehensive quote. He thoroughly explained the work that needed to be done and gave us a cost-competitive quote (compared to 3-4 other companies). He also highlighted another issue with the electrical in the attic (a potential fire hazard) and included a fix to this problem in his quote. When he returned on the day of the HVAC installation we realized that there had been some miscommunication in the original quote as the job at hand was actually larger than anticipated. Brian was however very flexible and gave us a sharply discounted price on the spot for the additional work that was needed. We very generally very happy with Brian's work and the HVAC contractor also told us it had been a pleasure to work with Brian.
