Best Electricians in California
Sherman Electric is one of the most professional companies I have ever dealt with. The are quick and have amazing pricing. Being a property manager of an Old Victorian home I always run into electrical problems and Sherman Electric is always prompt to respond and fix it in a timely manner. I would not use anyone but Sherman Electric for my electrical repairs.

Originally Chris was helpful and very nice. We were happy to establish an electrician just moving to Santa Cruz . He then sent out another person at the last minute to do a planned job who we were not thrilled with but let it go. We have been trying to reach Chris for two weeks to discuss the job done by the other person which seems to have some issues with no response.
It could be that he is dealing with some other issues but really shocked at the lack of responsibility.

Problem: some outlets inoperable on the same circuit.
Analysis: did basic troubleshooting such as:
Resetting circuit breaker; checked GFI plug; validated wire continuity in case of an open. Sent Yelp request for assistance.
Resolution:
Ron took time from his busy schedule to call and stopped by the house to troubleshootNTF and provided a couple of suggestions based on his extensive experience. For safety, I replaced the GFI and manually checked all the plugs and mapped to the circuit breaker box.
Thank again Ron. I validated that the kitchen plugs are in a different circuit hence the remap of the CB.
Root cause: User error. Unable for provide a cost value because the lessons I learned from Ron are invaluable. However if cost must be a factor, price is reasonable. I would call on him again should I have electrical issues that need resolution.

We got our foundation's horizontal crack fixed by Reno. They were very responsive. I had many many questions as the crack was around 12 ft and one part it crossed other side too. Take a look of the pictures. I consulted atleast 5 companies, all solutions were minimum 20-25k.
Reno pro, took out all loose concrete, took out old rusted reinforcing bars. Replaced with new once's. Pour concrete. They nicely took care of my artificial grass along with the foundation too. I got that too done last year that's when I found the foundation issue. Other contractors were asking to take of the grass myself and put back after done. Yesterday we had 5.1 earthquake, foundation is still standing well

David was the first person to respond to my request for quote.
David is a professional who arrives on time, listens to his customers and comes up with a fresh win-win solution. He fixed the stuck door problem with expert skill, replaced all the door locks, installed a new LED wall lantern and patiently cleaned up the debris afterwards. He is very accommodating to your requests, patiently answers your questions and even laughs at your not so funny jokes. His motto is Do it right the first time! which saves you money and time in the long run. He wore the appropriate PPE out of concern for the safety of his clients and himself. He has made our family life more simple and less stressful.
Stop worrying and avoid making the problem worst by cutting corners.
Your time and mental health are too precious to waste. You owe it to yourself to give Dave the Handyman a call today!

They were very responsive and sent me a detailed quote to install an outlet to charge my Mach-e. When they came out the job was done quickly and the outlet is working great!!

I seldom write reviews but felt compelled to do so for Hourmouz of Bay Sun Electric. He worked on the electrical portion of a recent remodel and did a good job. He was polite, helpful, and dependable, which is not always the case with many tradespeople. He worked hard and worked late to make sure we were not without power overnight during the remodel. Hourmouz was also flexible and willing to put in temporary measures to make things easier for us during the many months of remodel. Would strongly recommend him.

I had some electrical issues that I had no idea was wrong. Called, made an appointment, and next thing you know everything was working great.
Daniel and his son are very professional as well as very friendly. I highly recommend their service to anyone looking to get any electrical issues fixed!

Had the pleasure of working with Taylor.
He was super professional and attentive to all of my needs and got the job done quick.
Exceptional service like this seems harder and harder to come by, I will definitely be coming back to Alpha Omega.

I'm frustrated with Service Champions Heating & Air Conditioning.
Since some time back my HVAC has the error HE0 lockout due too many retries
The company told me to get new Ducts, new control Chip in the circuit board and new thermostat but after doing this, the problem is still there. It still happens randomly.
It is very sad and frustrating to spend so much money for something that does not work as it should.
Update on 12/23/2017:
After the problem was fixed it came back last week after a very cold night. Now the issue is pressure switch (!!!)
I wonder why this was not found before?
I have to wait that the part is available by the manufacture!
My conclusions about this problem are:
1. Few technicians understand the problem lockout due too many retries.
2. The technicians that have more knowledge need to perform a better and more thorough exam of all components in the HVAC in order. This will avoid the house owners to waste time and money.
3. Almost all HVAC companies in the Bay Area have technicians with very poor technical knowledge.
4. There is almost no HVAC technicians in the Bay Area qualified to deal with the error HE0 = lockout due too many retries
5. If you have this problem with your HVAC make sure the technician who is working with the problem check ALL parts of the HVAC system.
Update on 12/30/2017:
The technician brought the new pressure switch and replace it but the furnace today has the error E0. So it still does NOT work as it should.
Update on 01/01/2018:
The furnace still has the error E0 this morning!.
Update on 01/02/2018:
The furnace is working again, other technician came, the conclusion is that the system is fine(!), the system blocks itself when there is too much water, the system is too smart.
When the error HE0 appears again I was told to check the pressure tubings to determine if there is a problem between the Inducer Motor and Ignitor.
I will keep this review with this rating until I don't see the error HE0 anymore or better solution is provided when the error is displayed again in the circuit board.

Ray and his team were fantastic. They had a slot available on a weekend and in one day came in and installed a sub-panel for the backyard studio. While they were at it they identified a few problem areas and fixed those as well. They were incredibly efficient and got the work done in a tidy and to-code way. I really appreciated Ray coming by the day after it was done even after I'd paid to do a walkthrough and see if anything else needed fixing up.
Will totally be using him again.

Dave was simply amazing, provided us the proper assessment of our situation. After he shared details about what we were wanting to accomplish we realized the scope of the job was less than initially we both had thought and talked through the cost of the job from there. He was professional the entire time and would hire him again for any of our electrical needs.

We are so pleased with this company. We had an electrical problem and called them. They sent a guy out (Rick) the next morning even though it wasn't an emergency. They texted a reminder for appointment and when he was on his way. The problem was easy to fix and they didn't charge us anything, even for the evaluation. Overall the customer service was great and Rick really knew what he was doing. We have saved this companies information and will definitely be using them for any future electrical problems at our house.

I needed an electrician and I saw recommendations for Jesse Mata, Alpha Omega Electric on nextdoor. I texted him and asked him if he was licensed. He said yes and that he had done work for the mayor of my city. Which seemed strange as I had not told him where I was located.
I was stupid and had him come anyway. He arrived in a company van. I asked him again if he was licensed and for a card. He told me he had something better and pulled out a magnet and stuck it to the side of my fridge towards the back. I showed him my electrical concerns and we decided he would come back to do an inspection.
It was really stuck in my mind that I never saw his license number, so this morning I pulled out the magnet. It had someone else's name and no license number.
When Jesse arrived, I immediately asked about his license and for a business card. He didn't have any. He is partners with his best friend, whose name is on the magnet, the license number was on the van, he did work for this person and that person, look he's mentioned on yelp, I was questioning his integrity yada yada.
He left and I looked up the number of the license on the van. It is for Alpha Omega Electric with only Joshua Fisher on it as a sole proprietor. When I tried to research Jesse's name through the state, nothing came up.
Jesse Mata is passing himself off as a licensed electrician and offers no proof of such. He is personable, a name dropping reassuring braggart who seems like he knows what he's doing (we have a 10 year company guarantee!!). I do not trust him nor his company. This is not the way a truly licensed contractor behaves.

Jason and his young assistant did great work installing four recessed lights along with a ceiling fan. There was an issue with one of the lights flickering and Mark (the owner) promptly came out and had the light replaced. Highly recommended.

I needed to install a ceiling fan in my kids' bedroom and gave Jesse a call. He called me back very quickly and came out just a couple hours later to install the ceiling fan. All his work was very clean, he's very professional and even provided some advice on the type of fan that I had purchased as it requires the use of a remote control. Fan was installed quickly and you would never be able to tell he was even here! Super friendly and just a really nice guy. I will certainly use him again.

Ivan was great!! He installed a new 220v outlet for us in our garage to prepare for a purchase of an electric vehicle. The price was fair and he helped educate us on the options regarding amps for different types of level 2 chargers. He was prompt and very helpful. Highly recommend.
