They are fast, kind and efficient. It was a late night call and a emergency. Locked out of the house with animals inside late at night. They were there in 25 minutes. Reasonable on the price especially at the hour we needed them.

Went into store location. I appreciate quality parts and material, so I purchased a "perpetua (stainless steel) key" for one of my restored classic vehicles.  Prices on these kinds of keys can run decently high "for a key". I took it in to have it copied from the original. The man working on the key immediately started making fun of the case I brought it in. He takes the key back and quickly realizes it's steel, after running it through a machine used for weaker metals. Attempts to use another machine ( suited for steel keys) but manages to launch, bend, twist, and chip the key. After he hands the key back to me, he continues to make fun and tell me how irresponsible I am for purchasing a key like this, then I guess in an attempt to Emasculate the key, he tells me that the key is aluminum and weaker than brass keys. After previously saying it was steel and even having a tough time cutting it on the machine used for steel.

Near the end of the transaction he's asking me "for what car", as to judge me on weather or not it was an appropriate thing to purchase for a vehicle.

I would hope that customer service improves there.  Instead of needing to make 6 dollars off a key, they would ask the material, look at their equipment, asses the difficulty, and maybe recommend I go somewhere else that could handle it. Messing up someone's key, and not even apologizing for 6 dollars isn't cool weather it be cheap or expensive.

I'm thrilled that so many people are happy with this company.  I am not.  Representative at store recommended the type of new lock I buy.  I bought it.  Acme charged me nearly $200 (trip charge plus one hour labor).  Alleged locksmith told me job would be "a piece of cake" to remove old lock and install a different lock.  After the hour was up, the screen door would not lock from the outside and is very hard to lock from the inside.  There was a mess on the ground that if I'd wanted him to clean up, I would have had to pay for another hour.  New lock is not flush, having a gap between the door and the lock piece.  After a month, one of the 1/4 inch screws holding the strike plate on fell out.   The strike plate he installed has caused damage to my arm several times as it sticks out.

During the installation, this guy tried to grind down the metal strike plate already present.  I told him to remove it but by that time, I had shards of metal as well as wood all over the doorway, inside and outside.  

He was not wearing safety glasses or hearing protectors and when asked, told me they were in the vehicle.  Not even five seconds after he told me that, he got a shard of wood in his eye from grinding.

I really should have known better since when I asked him to tighten the door knob on the main door he said he wasn't sure he could.

I will probably have to get a new screen door and yet another lock.  Since then, I have learned that there are locksmiths who charge by the job and one said he was willing to fix things for a flat rate of $50 since I'd had such a horrible time with Acme.  After he does the job, I'll post a review for him.

Fast, wonderful, polite, on time and reasonably priced! I don't have much info for these guys. They did exactly what they said for the exact price and didn't rip me off! Love this company.  If I need another locksmith, I will use them :)

Extremely rude serviceman. He told me he had 10 minutes to look at my locks. Said he could "maybe,  kinda fix one". When I told him I eas not interested in his services he tried to charge me $99. No way!!!

Horrible  customer service. Highly recommend trying anything but this "locksmith". No need to treat people rudely.

The woman who "helped" me was difficult, to say the least. She told me I could leave my items (newly purchased elsewhere) and she would re-key them after her other jobs ahead of me. I asked if she had some sort of receipt for my $300 worth of items I was leaving. She said no, she didn't have anything to give me. When I pressed her to write some sort of receipt, because I was leaving my items with someone I didn't know and a shop I had never done business with before, she responded that she wasn't going to write me anything, angrily waving the "tag we normally use" and stating they were "out of them". Then she told me she wasn't going to steal my things, got a bit sarcastic, and simply handed me a business card instead -- "I'm the manager". As if that was enough and I didn't need any receipt. At this point she was noticeably angry with me and I expected she would take that out in her services. I decided to take my merchandise and go elsewhere.

So glad I did! Went to Armor Lock & Safe instead -- they were very pleasant, scheduled an appointment for me so that the service could be done while I waited, and charged me less!

NEVER EVER use ACME Locksmith Corporation in Mesa. Their Store Manager there is one of the WORST Company Representatives ever. Not sure if their other locations offer the same piss poor level of service.
Last week I dropped off the Glove Box door from my 1958 Triumph TR3 along with the Key that I think is the correct key for the Lock.  Needed to either figure out why the key is not working or simply make a new Key.  The Manager either does not do this type work or did not want to do it.  Said they would have one of their Mobile Techs come by the Store the next day and do it.  Said the cost would be around $35. Sounded like a deal.
Didn't hear from them on Friday so I figured maybe they didn't get around to it until late in the day.  Tried to call the Store Monday morning but they didn't answer. Instead it was forwarded to their Corporate Headquarters.  The lady that answered there said she would contact the Store and have them call me.  Never got a call.  Called again in the afternoon and yet again the Store did not answer so the call rolled to Corporate.  Same lady answered and said she would txt the store with my info and ask them to call. Never got a call.
Tried again this morning.  Same thing. Store did not answer and rolled to Corporate. Same lady answered.  She put me on hold and called the Store to transfer me.
Store Manager came on the line and said she never called me back because 1. She runs the busiest store 2. Is Training someone (that is scary thought) but that she was calling me back now.  Ummm.... No. I'm calling you. And 3. She said her Mobile Techs work by appointment and if I want to schedule a Tech to come out here the cost will be about $95.
I asked if that means I should come get my stuff and take it to another locksmith that will do what they say.  She got all huffy and said don't get mad at her so I hung up and tried to call back figuring it would once again roll to Corporate. It did but I thought it was the Store that answered so I hung up.  The lady from Corporate called me back.  Told her what had happened and that I just want my stuff back but that I do NOT want to have to deal with their Manager.  She offered to go by the Store and get my stuff and I can come by Corporate to get it from her.  The Store is 4.5 miles from me and since their Corporate Office is only 7.5 miles from me that is fine.

Huge kudos for Eric L and Acme locksmith who came to the rescue when a key for a trailer hitch receiver was lost.  Within less than 60 seconds, Eric had the recalcitrant hitch receiver lock removed.  The price was very reasonable and the service is worth at least 5 Yelp Stars.  Kudos also to the Acme Locksmith location in Scottsdale who referred me to their Mesa location because it was closer to me.  Great customer service, reasonable prices, and people that really know how to pick a lock if needed. They also feature a wide selection of locks for multiple applications.  THANK YOU ACME LOCKSMITH!!!!!

I love these guys! I saw a few bad things and was shocked. They put multi-lock pick proof locks in my house 10 years ago, and they have been great. I just bought a new front security door, and ACME are my 'GO TO' guys for locks. The web site was perfect for creating a record of the job I desire. I don't think there is another locksmith in the Valley that has the technical expertise these guys have or offer the high security products.

Use these guys a bunch of times. If you're looking for a locksmith Acme will take care of you!

I have a multi point lock for the front door that failed.  Texted with Bobby and sent pictures.  Called this morning at 9 and by 1:45 Erv was Sr the house.  They send you a text so you can know when they will arrive.  Highly knowledgeable and efficient.  Fortunately I had an original cylinder that could be swapped out saving me weeks of waiting for a new mechanism.   Do yourself a favor and only call ACME for your locksmith needs.  This company including Amber, Erv and Bobby were all outstanding.

These guys ROCK!  I have an antique Jennings Governor Tic Tac Toe mechanical machine that I bought from a family clearing out their parents home.  No keys came with it and I quickly learned that a single lock (this machine had two!) was $150/ea and one was not even found on the internet for sale.  ACME told me they could make me two new keys for each lock and they DID!  It only took a few days for the new keys to come home and they hit it out of the park.  These particular keys are circular "cam" keys.  Thank you!!  A+++

We needed our gate lock fixed.  Called on Wednesday and Acme was here Thursday morning.  The gate lock was fixed quickly.  Great service. We highly recommend.

If I could do 0 stars I would. I urge any potential customer to think twice before utilizing this service. Not only will you be left high and dry when the 30 day warranty expires shortly after your installation, but you will be undervalued and dismissed as a customer.

The company installed a lock for our company that utilized a remote control. Installing the lock was a huge headache in itself since the company sent us the wrong lock initially. About a month later (right after the hardware warranty expired), the lock started to act up so I called the number on the quote. Even though I clearly specified our customer information, the woman on the line (Amber), did not look up our invoice to confirm what services and hardware we had purchased. She then proceeded to insist that I hadn't purchased a lock with them and that we had bought another cheap device and then hung up on me.  After recovering the invoice number from my files in order to confirm our purchase, I called back a total 4 times. Each time I was urged that Eric would be calling me back shortly. I was never called back and left to handle the issue myself even though the service warranty was still in effect. Truly an awful experience - and i hope this reviews saves someone else from a similar experience.

Very happy with my service today. Bobby arrived on time and texted his estimated time of arrival. He was friendly and knowledgeable. I like to try and use local businesses for my household needs and so happy I found this place! I will definitely use them again! Thanks so much!!

I called several self-advertised "locksmiths" before calling Acme. Most businesses that advertise as a locksmith simply do lockouts for cars. I came to Acme because I needed the real deal. I have a truck box that I needed keys to be able to secure my tools, but I did not have a key to duplicate. My particular box has a more complex locking mechanism and further complicated the task.
I brought my truck box to Acme and they HAND-FILED me 2 perfectly working keys!  I was impressed, and that does not happen often. Not only were they extremely expert in there field, they also were very focused on customer service. My keys were both done within 30 minutes.  While I waited I went and got Yoko Fast Food and watched their infomercials in the store and actually learned a lot.
I will be telling everyone I know about Acme and will be calling them for all of my future needs.

Just had them make a copy of a truck key that wasn't working on the passenger door. The copy works on ALL doors plus ignition!!! So I promptly made a copy of the copy and threw out the original.  Thank you locksmith gurus!!!

Acme is the best safe cracker in the valley! My Big Horn gun safe I bought from Costco died 6 months after I bought it (evidently a bad motherboard). I called another locksmith, they quoted me $350 over the phone to open it, and said they would have to use a 9" cutting blade and the safe would be destroyed. When they came out they said it was different from what they thought, and it would be $650, and the safe destroyed.

Mike came out, drilled the designated spot from the manufacturer, opened it, repaired the hole, and converted the safe to an old school combination lock for $525. I saved $125, AND got my safe back, better than it was before. I couldn't be happier.

Mike rekeyed a door for me today and even added a way better deadbolt than I had at no charge that he happened to have, and even unbeknownst to me until he notified me (I had an old one from 1984).  

Go with these guys and ask for Mike, I promise you will be extremely satisfied.

Bought a new to me car that only came with 1 key. Eric took care of my needs by cutting the cheap blanks I brought in. He went above and beyond by going out to the car to test the keys and lubricated the locks. I'll be back the next time I need more keys. The big boxes couldn't or wouldn't cut the keys I brought in.

I needed to have a lock replaced and was quoted a price over the phone.  The technician charged me $35 more than the quoted price.  When I challenged him on the price, he got a bit nervous and I figured he's just doing what he's told so I signed for the charge and called the office to ask if they would honor the quoted price.  The person that answered the phone was very apologetic and said the technician was new and he used the wrong code.  She very promptly refunded me the difference and sent me an email confirmation.  

I get that sometimes people make mistakes and what will make or break a business is how they fix the mistakes.  Acme owned the issue and corrected it without question or hesitation.  That warrants a 5 star rating in my book!

This is the second time I've used ACME, excellent service both times!  David was on time and quick and provided me with a link to track his arrival. Highly recommend!

Had a GREAT experience today with ACME locksmith. Called to have someone come and assist in replacing my back door lock that broke. Within 45 minutes Ryan arrived and replaced my dead bolt lock and cleaned up my door handle to make it work more efficient. Also re-keyed the whole house so there was only one key (as I wanted) for the entire house.  Replaced several broken locks and door handles too.

Ryan was professional, fast, and very customer focused. He explained what he was doing, ensured that it was working correctly and re-checked prior to departing.

I would recommend ACME to anyone needing locksmith assistance. I have used ACME and have had a very positive experience.

I just used Acme for the second time. I had my new home rekeyed as well as my mailbox. The keys included (and extras I bought) are good sturdy brass so won't break off in the lock anytime soon.  The keys work smoothly. I couldn't be happier with their service

Osher and his associate came to rekey my motorcycle. They were timely and efficient and so friendly! They spent their time making sure that everything worked perfectly, which is expected of course, however my bike is a 1989 and he had to use his senses to make new keys for it rather than just using a code!! Osher exceeded my expectations and he did it all for a great price in my driveway at home. These guys should always be your top choice for any locksmithing need.

This morning stupidity overtook me and I locked my keys in my car. I called Acme and the secretary was super cool and Erv the technician was there in less than an hour and had my car open in 3 minutes. I really hope I never have to use a locksmith again, because it means I being a moron, but if I do, I'll call these guys again.

We accidentally locked up our roll top desk with the key inside.  Ryan came out from Acme and, using a skeleton key blank, carved a working key for us.  Great job and saved an expensive desk from crowbar destruction!

Our company used Bobby from Acme Locksmith today. The service was great. All work was done quickly and perfectly. I will definitely use this company again

This business was very professional and knowledgeable about rekeying a safe that I had lost the key too. I thought for sure I was in for big cost and a headache dealing with it. But after calling and after going into their business all fears went away. The staff were nice, respectful and were good to work with. It's nice as a woman to not be intimidated  when going into a locksmith. Some are scary but not this place!!

Not to mention very affordable and offer after hours help.

I do not know what the other reviewer have seen unless they were reviewing the owners prior to 2007. I called and talked to some lady that was NOT very nice. I asked   how much it would cost me to have 2 Dodge keys with fobs attached. I was told a few  dollars cheaper then the dealer would charge. Then I was told I had to pay for each side of the keys to be cut 2 dollars for each side tot walling 8 dollars. I said the dealer was almost cheaper, the lady told me to go to the dealer. Also I was told no Military discount. I had the prior owners of the Acme (The Lock Shop) take can of my keys. I would highly recommend them. You can read my outstanding review for them.. Yes I had the Lock Shop cut and program my key and fobs.

Customer service is everything, I receive non at Acme.... Acme you had your chance..

We called ACME yesterday and we have a brand new keypad front door lock today!  Leeno came out on time and was very professional. He was very pleasant and gave maintenance tips and clear instructions how to change the keypad code. He charged exactly the amount we were quoted and provided excellent service.  Thank you Leeno and ACME! We highly recommend ACME and will always call them first for any locksmith service.

I just had my entire house rekeyed with Acme and very pleased with the whole experience! When I first called to get a quote the man that I spoke with was very patient and went over fees with me in great detail. I was also happy with all the text reminders I received to confirm my appointment and to let me know when my locksmith was on his way. Bobby worked quickly and thoroughly. I will definitely recommend them to anyone else in need of their services!

Sometimes locksmiths can be kind of sketchy, not this one.  Very professional business.  They had every kind of key and lock option and accessory you could want.  I am thinking about going back and purchasing  a safe there.  
My son has a Scion TC and the key broke, they were able to give us a low cost option to the dealer's $400 key replacement.  They were also able to make a spare key for my Jeep that NO ONE else in the valley was able to make.
I know where I will go from now on for any key/lock needs.

Very helpful and professional. We would use them again. We had to pay an additional fee for a specific time but the locksmith arrived as planned.

I initially called the first place that came up on my Google search. Well, that was a mistake! (I'll rant about them in another review). Came back to see Acme had so many good reviews and I am glad I called them! They were very professional on the phone.

I had locked myself out of my house, and their technician, Matt, was given my call right after being released from Urgent Care! He got stitches was right back to work like a champ! On top of that, he called ahead to let me know he was on the way, and was super friendly. He even beat me back to my house (I was with a friend so that I was not stuck out on my curb).

I paid exactly what I was quoted, and it was much less than what I thought I would have to pay for my silly mistake.

Quick and reasonable service programming transponder keys on a 2011 Nissan. Prices were the best of a couple locksmiths I called and much cheaper than the dealership.

My dumb ass stuck the wrong key in the ignition of the car. I wiggled, yanked, and jiggled the mofo for what felt like 2 hours, only to break the key off in the ignition... bahh.
Today I had time to get it taken care of, and I yelped "locksmiths" in the area, and chose Acme based on the 5 star reviews. They did not disappoint! They sent me a guy named Thomas who was totally awesome! The first attempt to remove the broken key didn't work, so he had a plan b, which worked.... The price I was quoted over the phone was $89.00 which is exactly what I paid...
Also, Thomas arrived considerably earlier than anticipated! So much awesome!
While I don't look forward to getting myself in a key jam again, if I do, I will gladly use Acme!

I ordered a new key for my 06 Charger with built-in FOB.  They were not able to get the FOB to program and said it must be defective and ordered a replacement.  After a couple months of not hearing back, I called to check on the order; they claimed they have no record of the order.  Not only did Acme prove incompetent at locksmithing a new key for me, but they proved themselves as crooks!

ACME LOCKSMITH REALLY GETS "ZERO" STARS

Apparently from what I'm reading, Acme is the "go to" guys for the simple stuff like replacing keys - not the big stuff that they proclaim on their website to be the best at  like a safe in need of servicing. .....  I contacted this company thru a Rosie on the House recommendation to replace the lock on my safe. I gave the info on the size of the safe and the type of lock that needed replacing. A tech came out to have a look and didn't bring a lock with him... wasted day #1.  He said he'd be out on Monday around noon. When he didn't arrive, my husband called and the service said that we weren't on the schedule....wasted day #2.  When the tech came out a few days later, the lock he brought with him was inferior and did not fit and didn't really
want to modify it ..... wasted day #3.

How hard is it to bring a Sgt Greenleaf lock to the house and install it? I've replaced this lock before without any problems. As of this post, it's been over a week and we  have not heard from Acme  and quite frankly, after wasting my time on 3 different days.....  I don't want to.

I contacted this company this morning about getting a lock rekeyed.  I tech showed up before 11am, the lock was taken care of quickly and the technician was very pleasant.  I will be using this company again.

Great job and Bobby was awesome! He was prompt and efficient. He replaced two doorknobs and completely perfect! I would call these guys again! Also, the guy on the phone was nice too!

Efficient, fast & friendly! I will return to Acme for all my locksmith needs!  I called with my lock problem, they told me to come right down and with their convenient location in Mesa I was there is 10 minutes. They fixed my lock problem within 1 minute! They are professional!

I locked my keys in my car and called several locksmiths prior to calling Acme. All the people I spoke with at the previous places were very rude and made me feel like I was bothering them. None of them could provide me with an exact fee quote, stating that the price "starts at $____ and goes up from there". One place even hung up on me after I said I would call them back if nothing else worked out.  I was already frustrated when I called Acme. The woman I spoke with on the phone was very nice and helpful and put me at ease. She was able to quote me a very reasonable flat fee and stated they could be out within the hour. I agreed to these terms and met with Ryan in about 45 minutes. He got into my car in just a few minutes and he was really nice and professional about the whole thing. I highly recommend going with these folks if you need a locksmith.

I have visited the shop twice and both times I received great service for difficult problems.

I brought in some very unique keys and they were able to make each of them.  They were also able to help.me with a motorcycle for which we lost the key. Very cool! They were generally very helpful!

I was really happy with this company and their work.  Ron was my tech, and the work was done very well.  The bill was very reasonable, just like Violet quoted me over the phone.  Friendly customer service too.

I would use this locksmith service again.

PS: I think Yelp's representation of this company is misleading.  Only one review is shown, and unfortunately it happens to be a bad review for the company.  However there are 24 very good to excellent reviews on the "Filtered Pages",

I chose this company because I read the reviews on the Filtered Pages.  Plus the company has a top rating with the BBB.  So you can't please everyone, Yelp, so please better represent this company who employs our neighbors in this trying economy.  Also, instead of showing "1 review", put 25 reviews; otherwise, Yelp, you're not making any sense.

So as I submit this review, I wonder if Yelp will put my review on the Filtered Page.... hmmm.

Matt, our locksmith, showed up on time and ready to go.  I had him re-key all the locks in our new house.  He did all that plus flipped all of the doorknobs in our house for us (since the previous owner/flipper had them all upside down).   He also provided some great tips (e.g. how I can re-key my own lock if I ever need to change the locks again).  

And 24 hour emergency service? Can't beat that.

We had a horrible experience with the first locksmith who visited our house.  Big Mike showed up and was friendly, knowledgeable and professional.  There were no hidden fees, the price they gave us over the phone was the final offer.

I highly recommend Acme if you are ever in a bind and need a 24 hour emergency locksmith.

This was the worst company to deal withZ I was continually lies to by the dispatcher. I had an emergency and 3 hours later finally somebody showed up. The person answering phones is totally incompentant. He LIED to me 3 times before somebody finally showing up 3 hours after I called.I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ANY WORK NEEDED.

I used this company a year ago and they reviewed and corrected all the locks in my home. They have a one year warranty on the work they do.

Two of the doors they corrected, out of 8 that they worked on, started to give me a problem. I called them, they sent the same technician, Matt, to my home who flawlessly recalled each repair he did 10 months earlier.

He fine tuned the doors.They again work flawlessly. All done without an additional charge.

Fine workmanship, great customer service and you can't complain about the one year warranty.....

Acme was the locksmith I got when I ordered rekey service through Amazon Services. They were responsive to my questions before I had my service. I had 7 locks rekeyed, mailbox lock replaced and sliding glass door double bolt lock installed. Price was better than others based on my research. Ryan did my locks. He was nice and professional. He gave me suggestion for a garage door opener even though I wasn't getting a reprogram service from him.

I got my service on a Saturday. He was on time. The only negative I can say is he got interrupted multiple times for calls from other customers inquiring for service. I think that the on-site tech gets all the calls during weekends. He did apologize for them, and still finished the job on time.

Will definitely recommend!

Love these guys!!! I had to get a new key fob for my jeep programed and the dealership wanted my first born and power of attorney to do it. Acme did it for WAY less and the service was awesome! I highly recommend the guys at Acme :))

Great shopping experience for a safe.  Took the time to explain everything,  options and provided a product that was perfect for needs at a fair price.  Install was on time, professionally done.  Highly recommend.

Brian helped us out when we locked out keys in the car.  He was quick, knew what he was doing, and very nice. We will use them again.

I've always been careful where I leave my keys, unfortunately with age I've found that the thing I do best now is losing stuff.  Sadly my keys are not immune to my senility or forgetfulness.  I've recently gone about trying to temper this problem by making copies of my keys, but the big box stores have your most commonly used keys/locks which is fine for most of my keys but I had about four high quality locks that apparently don't move enough product to justify keeping in stock.  I was referred here by an ACE hardware employee.  To my surprise this store has just about every key possible (and more) the keys I needed had to practically be made by hand from some of their stock one at a time.  The extra cost? none, granted the cost per key was a tad bit more than the limited ones the big box stores carry, however the cost for over a dozen keys made (all by hand and sizing) were still a fraction of the cost of one new lock.  In my case, I did have to bring the locks with me so each key could be confirmed it worked, but only took 20 minutes and that was mostly the employee waiting for me to stop fooling around with all the interesting locks they have at the store for demonstration.  I strongly encourage those of you to try this location out.  I did not have them come to my location to do a "lock out" or unlock something for me, but I'm certain their service would be just as stellar if they did.  I see there is one low rated review in regards to a  programming a key for a car.  I am not certain what specifically the dealer told that gentleman, but I can assure you in my case I  opted to have acme do it - the dealership wanted to charge 799.99 + labor for extra keys and programming, ACME - 235 + tax for the same amount of work.  I'll be having ACME take care of my lock needs from now on, I can see why they have and A+ rating with the BBB.

Yesterday I called Acme to come out to re-key my home. Even though they were quite busy the gentleman who answered the phone said he would work me in. An hour in a half later I got a call from Ryan, my tech. He said I'll be there in about 20 minutes. Sure enough Ryan showed up on time and did a fantastic job. He was polite and professional. I would recommend this company highly. Their pricing is fair and they get the job done!

They came out on short notice and replaced a bunch of my locks at a reasonable rate!  I'd do business with them again!

Purchased a safe from Acme-- a top quality product at a reasonable price. Dealt with Scott on the sales end and found him to be both personable and very knowledgeable. Delivery, installation, and owner tutorial were accomplished by Acme's Mike & Steve. They expertly got it in place with no damage to the safe or to anything else-- no small feat with such a large & heavy item. Altogether a pleasant and seamless experience. Acme knows their business and treats its customers right. I highly recommend them for your security needs.

After seeing so many 5 star reviews, I decided to hire Acme to to rekey the locks to the house I purchsed.  
Matt came out and quickly rekeyed all 7 locks I have.  He even let me know that one of the locks can easily be changed with a DIY kit I can get at the hardware store.  He demonstrated great customer service and was very professional.
Why not 5 stars then?  Well, I can't say the same for the people I spoke to on the phone.  This is my first home.  This is my first time having locks rekeyed.  When I called for a price quote, I asked how much it would be to have the locks changed.  The woman responded condescendingly, "Do you want the locks changed or want them rekeyed?"  I'm sorry I didn't know the difference at that time and told her so.  With a huff, she explained it to me.  I let her know I was going to continue to check around (mainly because her attitude was off-putting) and she decided to inform me that all other locksmiths are going to quote me one price over the phone and charge me more when they arrive.  Uhhhhh well then who's to say your company won't do that?  A recommendation:  if someone wants to call around, be confident in your prices and services.  Let them know you understand they want to shop around but hope to provide your services and are confident you have the best price.  Don't talk crap about other businesses, it's tacky.
If I need a locksmith again, I will use them....  and pray that woman answering the phones has the day off.

I called about a problem with the door lock on my Honda.  Sean, their automotive guy, was familiar with the problem and said it happens all the time.  I took it in right away, no appointment, and he worked on it immediately and fixed it in about an hour for $65.  I went over to Sassy's bakery next door and had a great cinnamon roll while I waited.

Locked my keys in my car this morning. For a flat rate fee of $69 Steve came out and opened it up in less than 5 minutes!!! Affordable/dependable/reliable!!!

My experience with ACME was fantastic. They got right over to my house when I locked myself out (yes, during a day where I was basically getting punked by the universe left and right), Matt was prompt, professional and I will definitely use them again for any locksmith needs I may have with car or home. I am a fool and lost my mail box keys. I called Acme.The lady on the phone was really nice. She gave me a price and we agreed on a time. Big Mike called me 30 minutes before and gave me a heads up that he was coming my way. He was very professional. He was fast and the price was exactly like I was first told. Really happy with the experience. Hopefully I won't have to use them again but if I need a locksmith, I will for sure call Acme.

Wonderful service and exceedingly helpful and efficient too.  Matt was dispatched to my house to complete a specific project, which he did, in a completely professional, rapid and informative manner.  He explained everything that he did and the prices were absolutely reasonable too.  I am most impressed with the security suggestions that he made (without any bend towards gaining an additional project from me at the time or later).  I appreciated the tips that he provided to me concerning these security features and most importantly it did not result in any current or future charges to implement any of the recommendations that were suggested.

I believe this and other reasons qualifies this company for 5/5 stars because I am still able to complete my project, get valuable insight into measures that I can take to increase security in my environment, and without any added expenses incurred by me and as a result.

Great service, price and quick. I needed someone quick so that I could fix two doors prior to closing on my home. Matt came over and whooosh! It was done so quickly and expertly. Afterwards he he explained what he did and had me try each door. Why did I wait so long? This was the epitome of a great company with great service at a great price.

I just got back from California early in the morning realized I had left my keys at my girlfriend's house (in cali) called them and they were really sympathetic to my situation I was also starting a new job that morning they came out as soon as possible and took care of me. Really thankful for them. The only negative is that I still had to come out of pocket 9 dollars from their 30 for 60 dollar deal. I did not expect that, but overall I will, if ever need a locksmith, I will call acme.

Our trunk latch would not open, and I tried a couple locksmiths before Acme.  Their advice boiled down to "take it to the dealer, we can't fix this".  Since there was 3 pounds of thawing fish in the trunk, and it being Sunday afternoon, the dealership option was unacceptable.

When I called Acme, Mike got the call, and was not coming up with anything either - but then he mentioned "try pressing on the hatch by the latch - if a plastic bag handle got stuck in there, this may be enough to get the eletronics to cycle the latch."  I tried it on my own, but got nowhere.  I thanked Mike for his time & hung up.  My wife and I then tried the process again (without the phone in my hand), and hot-damn! It worked!

These guys will go the extra mile for you.  He could have easily charged me to come out and do the same thing that he recommended over the phone.  Instead, he gave me the tools that got the job done on my own.  That's service.

I sure know who to call if I ever have a lock problem again.

I had an old locking hub cap that i had lost the key and wanted to have a key so i could unlock it. i had taken the hubcap to many other locksmiths. They all said that a key could not be made. I eventually took it to Acme Locksmith, to a man named Shaun. He could not make a key to unlock it but he was determined to. So he worked and worked to make me a key that unlocked the hubcap and he eventually did. Everyone there was friendly, and i had a great experience.

At first, I was upset with the extra $60 service charge that was not disclosed to me prior to making the appt.  Please make sure this is made clear to future customers, I think it will help.  In the end before I ran off to my appointment I was only able to afford half the locks that needed to be re-keyed.  This job was something that had to be done ASAP for my own safety from a pervious tenant who was living with me.  I stressed to Thomas not to let this person on the property, no exceptions.  I ran home during a break to collect my key and to my surprise, found a very pleasant note. Due to my situation, ALL my locks were re-keyed.  I was very moved!  Thank you, Thomas for supporting my safety, for caring, and for instilling peace in my life again.

One word - Fantastic!! I needed to replace a lost mailbox key and called Acme's office yesterday (12/28/15) afternoon. They were ready, willing and able to respond yesterday..WOW!! I had to postpone until today, was given a time frame between 10AM and 1PM. We were stunned when the tech (we didn't get his name) showed up and was done by 9:45AM..WOW!! (again)..I've become so jaded and used to poor customer service these days, I was stunned to find a company that prides themselves on providing 5 star quality service. Thanks to the Acme team, well done!!

The owner Robert was very friendly and informative. He kindly set up an appointment to have our new home rekeyed and provided the price it would cost to do so. I also requested Robert to please give me a 30 minute heads up so I could have time to get home to have the work done. Bobby (the senior locksmith) came out to our home and arrived before I could get home and he was great to call me to let me know he was already here. I apologized for being behind schedule, and in spite of my tardiness in arriving, (I know that he had a busy schedule) Bobby was cool about it. While rekeying the door locks, Bobby explained a device that makes it more difficult for a lock to be picked and I opted to have them installed on the dead bolts. He only charged me for one of them which was a totally cool and unexpected. I am very impressed with ACME Locksmith here in Mesa and will be using them any time we need repairs, rekeying or new locks on our home. Thanks Bobby for being so cool and for your great job! Finally, I want to thank you Robert, not only for your great customer service, but for also being a veteran. Thanks for your sacrifice and service to our country. I needed a duplicate key for a swimming pool child-proof fence. Although it was difficult to match to a blank key, Gary did a perfect job making me a spare. Instead of just doing his job, Gary truly cared about the duplicate key he was making me and went out of his way to ensure the key he made was a perfect fit. I'm so happy with the service I received, it was completely worth the drive to this location in Mesa from Queen Creek. I can't wait to bring my husband in to check out all the cool home protection gadgets and safes that Acme carries, too! Superb job Gary, you've got a new loyal customer!

This is the second time I used Acme Locksmith, and both time I was very pleased with the work.  Their locksmiths are profession and very knowledgeable.   The most current service was having a lock on my patio slider door installed.  Herb was wonderful, knew just want needed to be done and had the job professionally completed in no time.  I highly recommend them.

We bought our new house and used the Rosie-on-the-House referral network to find Acme Locksmith. They were professional, fast and went above the service I expected. We hired them to re-key the locks in the house. The friendly technician came out and took the time to not only re-key the locks but he also noticed that the deadbolts were not seated as deeply as they could be for better security. He bored out the dead bolt holes and checked to be sure everything was in working order. He then took a few minutes to give us some tips on ways to increase or home's security that were very helpful. A few days later we had to go to their shop to buy a replacement lock for our USPS mailbox and the store clerk was very friendly and knew exactly what we needed. I would use Acme Locksmith again would recommend them to you.

WOW.  You just don't get service like this anymore!  Matt from ACME went above and beyond to help us rekey our new house, discussed safety on doors and windows, put in keyless garage door opener, reprogrammed garage door with new remote and so much more.  I will recommend to everyone.  Oh and did I mention, my appointment took place about one hour after I called to schedule.  I wish all companies treated their customers like ACME.

We were happy to find an actual shop (not an overpriced mobile service) that was able to open our strongbox which housed some important papers.  It was worth the drive from North Scottsdale to Mesa for the prompt, friendly service by Sean at a very reasonable price.  He topped it off by even throwing in two car window sunscreens!  Woo hoo!  Can't beat it!!!

I've become wary of businesses who cultivate and tout their high ratings.  Acme was another whom I tried to business with who let me down.  It started with an ineffectual young man on the phone who acted totally uninterested in my needs, and couldn't care less about my time constraints.  I found somebody nearby who cared enough to do what I needed, when I needed it.  In short, they were as good as Acme says they are.

Acme was the most polite, professional locksmith service I have used. Not only was the receptionist extremely sweet, she was also very helpful with getting someone out right away because I was locked out of my house. Matt was great and was at my house within minutes, and was very professional (unlike every single company I have used before). Thank you guys!

Matt was the best!  After getting locked out of our house one night we called a few locksmiths in the area.  None of them gave us a straight answer about prices until we called Acme.  Matt was super professional, gave us straight answers, and did a great job re-keying our home.  He even found a defect in our lock and helped us fix it.  Completely recommend Matt and Acme.

I purchased a safe from Acme in 2011.  There was no problem with the installation.  I use the safe often to keep passports. papers and a few guns.  Recently, I had an issue with the safe not opening.  The code was correct and i changed the battery in the keypad so that was not the issue.  My passport was in the safe and i was leaving out of the country in 36 hours.  I called Acme to have them make an emergency trip to open the safe.  I explained how important it was to get the safe open.  I had my original invoice from them.  They told me they were "too busy" and could not get to me.  I reminded them that i purchased the safe from them.  They did not care, they were too busy.   I would not recommend them because of their lack of customer service.  I understand they are busy but I was willing to pay whatever it took to get it drilled.  No, they were too busy.  The only advice they gave me was that I had installed the battery incorrectly.   I would not do business with this company.

I was a first time customer in the Acme store.  I went in the get a master lock brand trailer coupller lock rekeyed.  The unit was brand new in the box , the box clearly stated the unit is rekeyable.  I spoke to the tech at the counter and he was unsure how to do the work so he asked another tech who seemed bothered by the question.  That tech said he could drill out the pin in my new $50.00 lock and jb weld the hole but did not know if he could rekey the lock.  I obviously declined his offer to destroy my brand new lock.  I went to HARMONS LOCK AND KEY in the 900 block of east main street where they removed the cylinder from the lock in seconds.  Five minutes later i was on my way with my undamaged newly rekeyed master lock.  I called acme back and spoke to a very nice lady to inform them that the lock could in fact be rekeyed and she was very sorry.  I would recomend HARMONS for your locksmith services, i have used them many times and will make the drive again...
