Words cannot express how happy we are with the phenomenal service and results we received from General Electric Services (Edwin and Hormus). We recently moved to San Jose and spent about two weeks trying to find the perfect electrician for the job. We came across GES and scheduled an appointment; they arrived early and were able to give us a quote and schedule our appointment for installation within 30 minutes! We had recessed lights, recessed outlets, smart switches, ceiling fans and a chandelier installed. They were very very professional, clean, friendly and courteous. We truly had a 5 star experience!

I called four electricians for estimates to upgrade our service panel from 100 to a 200 amp panel.  Albert was the only one who came to give me an on site estimate.  The others gave me a verbal estimate over the phone.

I told all the companies I called my city's building dept. to ask the amount of the permit ($118) and would pull the permit myself.  One company employee argued with me that it would cost more than that.  I did not select that company.  My reasoning is if I start off disagreeing with the company initially, what would happen during the rest of the project?

Albert clearly explained the work he planned to do, the brand he would be using, and gave me a timeline.  Albert coordinated with PG&E and arranged a smooth transition to disconnect and reconnect my upgraded service panel.

Because of the way my old house was originally wired, PG&E required a junction box for the old wiring before being connected to the new service panel.  Albert gave me a choice between a metal (more expensive) or plastic junction box (less expensive).  Both are approved by current electrical code standards.  I chose the plastic box.

The City inspector passed Albert's installation on his first inspection.

Albert was communicative and did not try to upsell me other services.  In fact, because of a time line deadline, I considered using Albert's stucco person but Albert knew I was handy and told me I was capable of doing it myself.  I felt that Albert is honest, ethical,  and reliable.  His estimate was reasonable.

I plan to have Albert upgrade my sub panel in our garage next year.  Highly recommended.

Mike was the third contractor that I worked with on this project -- I only wish that I had started with him!  I wanted to replace 6 on-off and 2 dimmer switches with smart switches and he arrived on time, walked me through the process and helped me setup the switches to the smart hub.  I completely recommend DV Electric for any and all projects requiring an electrician.  I will definitely call on him for my future electrical project needs.  TOTAL PROFESSIONAL!  GREAT JOB!!!

I first had Mike over to remove an ugly chandelier that came with the house and replace with recessed lighting.  I had no idea what pattern to drill the lights in but Mike was patient with me and gave me his suggestion, as well as backups in case I didn't like his #1 pick (I went with his first suggestion and the lighting is perfect in my house).  Mike was the only electrician that told me that we need to get the lights with higher lumens because of my high ceilings.  Mike proved to me that he knew his stuff.  Oh, and he charged less than the other guys.

Then I had him over to replace all the ugly light fixtures in the house, change out all the light switches, install an electric car charger in the garage, mount a chandelier from the 20 foot ceiling, and add a few GFI and regular outlets in various places around the house.  After countless hours and thousands of dollars, I can confidently say that Mike is the best.  He has a great personality and is super reasonable (lower than the rest).

He is awesome.  Cleans up after himself.  Beautiful work.  Can't recommend enough.

After a handyman installed some lighting fixtures, the lights became unstable and began to flicker, dim or brighten.  I was very concerned about the installation of those fixtures and needed a real electrician to check it out but was afraid of the cost of calling an electrician.  Acero Electric to the rescue!! Richard came out the same morning I called and after checking the wiring of the fixtures he told me exactly what was wrong ... the dimmer switches needed to be replaced. I went and purchased exactly what he requested and he came back the same day and replaced all the dimmer switches.  Not only is Richard knowledgable and prompt ... but his rates are so reasonable, his business card has earned a place on my Wall of Fame along with other top notch service providers like my plumber, garage door repair, tree service, AC repair etc.  Acero Electric is your go to guy for all your electrical needs!!!

I highly recommend ARSEN Electric.  I needed a ChargePoint Home Flex NEMA 14-50 installed in my garage.  Here's my experience:

- Called ARSEN Electric.  Dimitry picks up phone.  I scheduled an appointment for later in the week for the free estimate as he was fairly booked up.
- Dimitry calls me back the same day and offers to come by in the afternoon as he was in the area.  Great!
- Dimitry shows up, listened to what I wanted, and clearly explains what he will do.  Gives me a very reasonable quote on the spot and I accept it.
- We schedule a date+time for Dimitry to install.  
- Dimitry shows up on time with one other and installs the charger exactly how I envisioned it. The entire job took about 2 hours as I needed the charger installed about 20 feet from my 200 amp panel, wrapped above my garage.  
- He patiently waits for me to sign up the ChargePoint account and makes sure my Tesla is properly charging before accepting payment.  
- Everything works!  No issues.  Cleans up the entire area + makes sure everything is placed back as it was.

Super smooth.  Highly recommend.  Any future electric work... Dimitry is definitely my go to.

Exactly what I needed. I called Brother Electric and got a quote ASAP, well priced. Excellent service and professional. They did the job quickly, they cleaned up and everything looks better than expected. Based on my only experience so far with them, I would recommend it.

Start from beginning .....It was so easy to make an appointment. Within couple of days I already had Mickey working in my house. My electrical problem was very complicated and involved so many parts you have to consider in order to solve a problem. I got very comprehensive explanation on what is going since I am not good at electrical stuff, so that helped to understand. If you need professional and responsible electrician please go ahead and use them. Strongly recommend

We were in the midst of recovering from a partial flooding of our house when we discovered that 3 of the 4 electrical outlets in the living room did not work. We were not sure if it was from the flooding that got to the wiring.  We got a reference for an electrical company from the company who did the drying out of our house but they couldn't get to our house today and we wanted it checked out today.  We didn't know if we had a fire hazard.  That first electrical company recommended we try Alley Electric.  Words can't express how grateful we are for Alley.  Chris showed up this afternoon and proceeded to follow the current to see where the problem started.  It happened to be the porch light of all places!!!! He was persistent, took his time, was thoughtful with putting covers on his shoes.  Our house is still a disaster as we have furniture all over the place so flooring can be replaced so he had to make his way around the mess and was so careful.  An extremely polite young man, very friendly. We met Rafael when he worked with Dakon Electric and called and asked for him when our dishwasher failed to start. Damon was kind enough to tell us Rafael had started his own business and gave us his number. How many companies do that?  We called Rafael and he came over within 2 days and was able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem.  he then took one of our lamps with him and rewired it and dropped it off within a week.  He is very competent and ethical.  I call him first for everything now. He really is the best.

After browsing a long list of Tesla charger installers, I ultimately chose Fruitdale Electric. Within days of my initial contact, they visited my home and provided a quote, which was much faster than I expected.

On installation day, their technicians arrived promptly. They installed a Tesla gen 3 charger, surge protection, and ran electrical wiring through my attic to the opposite side of the house. Despite the terrible weather at the time, they delivered flawless work.

The location of the charger was a challenge due to the tight space, and I had anticipated conduit running outside of my house. However, they exceeded my expectations and executed an incredibly clean installation with no visible wires or conduits, leaving just a Tesla charger on the wall exactly where I wanted it. Most importantly, my car now charges at a rate of over 40mph, a significant improvement from the previous rate of 4mph.

Jamil and team are very responsive. We had foundation work done, which messed up our front door. It would barely open. He replaced the lock and handle and rebalanced the door so it's working fine now. Professional and stays on schedule (something I always appreciate).

Update: Jamil returned last friday, installed a bolt lock on one door, repaired another one and added a lock to my garage, and three small door latches- all done quickly and efficiently.

Calling in for service was very professional and gave me an appointment quickly! Our service technician Wally was on time! Very polite and professional. Also very knowledgeable! I would definitely use this company again! Even though my job was small- I wouldn't have to think twice to call for other issues! Definitely will tell my friends!
