Our home was already prewired to install a car charger. So easy way of doing this was to have a NEMA 14-15 outlet installed into the junction box. But we wanted to have a wall connector just so we have the option to get the fastest charging we could at home and since we didn't get a mobile charger, might as well utilize that $200 credit from Tesla right?

I started my search through Yelp and started a project. I initially reached out to 5 other companies before I landed with Ed. One told me flat out, I couldn't install the wall connector with our current set up in the garage and that installing a NEMA 14-15 outlet was the only option. This was suspect as they had installed our neighbor's wall connector and also increased their breaker to 60 amps from 50. Also he's done so many other people's wall connectors in the area that I felt like he just didn't want to do my easy work. Another told me that they could install above the junction box by pulling wires through the wall. Another (who was a Tesla recommended electrician) said they could do it to the side of the junction box or above. Another just had an extravagant price that I was like...yeah no. Another had the cheapest price, but the work they did in our neighbor's garage was far less than aesthetic with an external flexible metal conduit from the junction box to the wall connector.

I was about to settle with one of the 5 but my last interaction with our initial chosen company left me with slight anxiety and just something didn't feel right. So I tried one more search on Yelp. I saw EV Charging Solutions was in Tracy, but he did service our area (Fremont) so I took a breath and sent him my project alongside a few photos of our current setup and the breaker box and just hoped for the best. Basically same day, he asked a couple more questions and provided me with the clearest, step-by-step, line itemized what I'd do to get this done and a straight forward quote that was very reasonable. My interaction with him versus the other companies was like night and day. It was a breath of fresh air. I didn't feel like I was questioning my sanity because I knew this could be done and placed right above the junction box with little to no problems. At this point my gut told me, this is the guy. He's the one and this is why I shouldn't settle.

I then asked when he would be available, and we scheduled roughly a couple weeks out which worked out perfectly for me.

Ed texted me the day prior to our appointment to confirm the time and date. He also texted me as he was on route to our home. When he arrived, he was as pleasant to talk with as on Yelp messaging. He did provide another option for us when he saw our set up in person in case we wanted to keep the junction box as is, but we did end up just going with the initial suggestion of placing on top of the junction box and also increasing our breaker to 60 amps as our wiring was able to handle it. He was never pushy and he welcomed any of our electrical questions.

After deciding the setup, Ed basically said it would take roughly an hour to do everything including wifi setup. And true to his word, basically in about an hour, everything was done, he texted me to come out to the garage (we may have not heard him knock on the garage door as it was a little further from where we were), and our wall connector was beautifully installed. It was what I envisioned and he made it to reality. He showed us some photos of the inside wiring, showed us how to use the wall connector as well as some tips about charging. He again asked us if we had any questions and he kindly answered all of our concerns. As a Tesla owner himself, it was great to pick his brain just to ensure what I've been learning/researching was in line with his experience.

After everything, I easily paid through Venmo. He also takes other payments just ask :)

Like many folks in Yelp have said, Ed is very easy to talk with, calm, skillful, detail oriented, professional, knowledgeable, honest, and just overall a really really great person who takes great pride in his work and takes great care of his clients/customers. Contacted Right Away Electric (Jonathan) to get a quote on adding 2 to 3 new electrical lines for a master bath renovation.  He responded to my request for a quote promptly and was able to get out the same morning to see the work site.  Meeting him went very well - he was prompt, courteous, professional, honest, and gave me a good idea what the work would entail.  By that afternoon, I had his quote in hand and gave him the green light go go ahead.  He was flexible with the start date (I moved it out from a Monday to a Tuesday and he accommodated with no problem).  Tuesday morning came around and he was early to start at the agreed time (great!).  Working efficiently, he did the job as discussed and even went ahead and helped wire one of the lines to be optionally 240V - something I had thought about but wasn't fully sure.  With his expert help, I can now run 120V or 240V depending on my future needs.  Very satisfied with his work, his diligence, attention to detail, responsiveness, and courteous demeanor.  I wish Jonathan all the luck in growing his business and look forward to calling upon him again in the future.  Thanks!

Moises is THE BEST-he will be my electrician from now on. He came on short notice on a Saturday after 5 pm and replaced 4 smoke detectors and fixed a light fixture as well.  Really nice guy, very competent and fairly priced.  Will definitely be calling him back to do some more work at our home.

Great experience with Grover Electric this past weekend. Our new wall oven was installed improperly by the appliance company hired by Pacific Sales. The wires were exposed and burning in the wall!

Pepe came out quickly, rewired and reset the oven into the wall . It was a heavy and difficult job. He had a wonderful attitude and was determined to complete the job to his high standard.  We Highly recommend Grover Electric!!  Professional, personal and capable!

I purchased a new glass cooktop to replace an old coiled one.  Called Chuck to cut the countertop/tile for the new dimensions of the cooktop and to install the new one.  He was very informative and knowledgeable.  I would definitely work with him again.

I found Emanuel through yelp and requested a quote through yelp's service.  He responded back and I called him up and he drove down for an estimate.   He was very professional and was able to give good insight into the placement of the extra outlets I requested.  Initially I called him to install an outlet for my tv and for my driveway camera but I ended up using him to install a few more outlets.  I recommend him highly.  He does a very clean job running the new wiring and always cleans up any debris he's made while installing the outlets.  Thanks again Emanuel and Pablo!

David is awesome!  I called about 8 different electricians trying to find someone to help with old knob and tube wiring problem I was having with a new ceiling fan.  David was only 1 of 2 that actually answered the phone! They say in construction it's about time, cost and quality - you get to choose two.  Somehow with Safety First you'll be getting all three!  Ronnie came to my house to give me a quote for a new EV home charger and the rest was history.  He walked me through the process and was able to explain complex electrical concepts so that they made sense and I was able to make informed decisions about how to proceed.  After careful decision making, Ronnie and I agreed that a panel upgrade made the most sense for my aging home.  He was also able to help install an additional 220 outlet that will now allow me to move my dryer away from natural gas and make the most of my solar.  He was also able to install BEAUTIFUL recessed lighting throughout our home, something that had previously be a low point of our home's aesthetics.  Finally, Ronnie was able to install a gorgeous chandelier over our kitchen table that utilizes stunning Edison bulbs.  I seriously feel like I live in a brand new home thanks to Safety First!
