Sun Services USA Solar Panel
I had a Solar System installed on my home in Prescott Az. We had 21 panels installed and couldn't be happier. Team 3 did a great job with the installation. The Az Sun Services staff was very informative and kept me up to date as things changed and progressed. From the start we were happy with the services that were provided. I'd like to add that if you need a roof, they can help you with that as well.

Sunny Energy Solar Panel
Sunny was great from start to finish. They were very informative up front in terms of the system. Once we started working together they were great project managers. System has been on for a few days only but is working just as we all expected.

Caliber Roofing And Solar Services Solar Panel
We were very impressed with caliber roofing from the beginning.  Their office responded almost immediately when I put my info on Yelp. We had a huge leak in our flat roof and needed someone fast after the huge storm we had. Derek came to our house for the estimate within a few days. He explained exactly what he recommended and within the day had an estimate emailed to us.  They were very responsive and Rich and Chris came the first day to make sure everything was going as planned.  The whole project took 2 days and they were extremely clean and left hardly any debris.  Derek came back when the job was done and inspected everything and showed us what they did.  I would definitely recommend them to anyone and we'll use them again for our next roofing project!

Aneva Solar Solar Panel
Aneva did the ground installation of the solar panels for us last summer. Yep, their crew worked smack in the middle of it. We do appreciate  all the work the kids had done and it looks awesome and also produces  a lot of energy.
We picked Aneva for the following reasons:
1. Sales guy Mark G is a pro. He looked at our house, consumption and offered a solution that fit us specifically. We did not even think of ground installation but it did turn out to be the best fit for us. When you have an expensive clay tile, installing solar panels on them is not an option- contrary to other contractors belief ;)
2. Crew is wonderful and worked their buts off in this heat. I had to work a lot and was not up to supervising but they really did not need to. Their PM even stopped showing up- but I am sure he would if you prefer more hands on experience.
3. We are getting a Lot of solar even though a tid bit of panels are in a shade in the morning. Aneva has a design person who works with your sales guy to come up with the great design for placement based on the lot or house.
Couple of things to share - hopefully informational and some are general solar related ;)
1. If you want solar and want to finance - use anything but solar financing.. it is predatory and usually comes at 20% upfront fee( yep still legal). We were explicitly told about it by the other bidder but would suggest to Mark to include this bit of info in the discussion.
2.probably would have done a bit more communication upfront as we had no idea what went into plans, approvals until I asked a day before the work started. It turned out great anyway;) and I would rather be hands off than on. bottom line is if you are more of a control freak - your sales guy and front desk are super responsive so just ask them.
3. Whoever was depositing checks along the way (4 payments I believe ) was above replying to emails. Again that's why Mark and front desk are there to help
4. Aneva has a special clean up guy!!! He is awesome and takes care of everything that PM could not
5. I think it takes some time to figure out but generator is really helpful on big ground jobs. Our outlets were not able to carry the needed load. So the crew rolled in one.
6. We had to replace the electric panel and the crew did it wonderfully. But picture having no electricity/ Wi-Fi for half a day in AZ summer...
7 Solar install is still quite expensive but electricity costs from the grid are not going down either. Although we are not completely independent we do enjoy with Aneva's help ;) -generating solar power, paying at this point almost nothing to APS and occasional enjoyment from virtue signaling to all the Prius and Tesla drivers ;) oh yes, and the fed tax refund too

Firefly Electric & Solar Solar Panel
Firefly Electric provided an estimate and completed my project on budget and in a timely manner. Ryan and his partner were both pleasant and followed a COVID protocol. I had a new outlet placed in a difficult location, and two new outdoor flood lights installed. Both projects were not only completed, but were done in a aesthetically pleasing way. I will definitely be using Firefly Electric again in the future.

Arizona Home Daylight worked great with the roofing company. The project was completed on time and on budget. Arizona Home Daylight did a quality job with great attention to detail. I would recommend them to anyone. We love our new solar tubes. Scott, Scottsdale

Black Platinum Solar & Electric Solar Panel
My wife and I had been looking at putting solar on our west valley home since we purchased it in 2017. We are seasonal residents who will likely move here full time in the future. In early 2018 I began looking at companies to take on our project. We had proposals for 5 kw to 12 kw systems. We had proposals from 4 different companies but never felt right about any of them.

December 30, 2018 I started researching other companies since we wanted to get this project done this year. I ran across Black Platinum Solar on the internet and started digging in deeper to learn more. They had very good reviews but I am always skeptical about what I read. My first contact with the company was Jan 2 via email. I got a very quick reply - good sign. I learned they are a smaller firm; family owned and operated. I had several email exchanges and then phone conversations. I learned what products they use and why. My main phone contact was John. He spent a significant amount of time explaining what they do and why. He encouraged as many questions as I could think of on our first call. At that time I told him I needed to digest the data he provided and we would talk again the next day.

We did talk the next day and for the next couple of days with John patiently answering all my questions while asking me more to learn about what we were looking for in a system. We discussed my interest in having someone look at our roof for suitability of the coating on our flat roof. John sent one of his sub contractors who specializes in roofing to look it over. The roof was ok but he offered some suggestions and options I really liked and we added a coating for the roof to the project.

We were also interested in adding a pool heater for our pool. Again John had a source for us. We received a proposal and decided to add that as well. The proposal was less than one we had received in December and the proposed equipment was first class. Needless to say we added that to the project. After discussing our complete project in detail we settled on a 13.2 kw system. John and his team prepared the proposal Jan 8 which we read over and signed that day.

John and the team got to work obtaining all permits and working with the various regulatory bodies. They coordinated all the work - roofing, pool heater and solar installation. They have the process down extremely well. After a bit of rain, the project kicked off in earnest Jan 14. The roofing company worked side by side with the Black Platinum team getting the roof ready and the mounts installed. Permits were obtained, hardware installed, systems connected and inspections completed. Our project was commissioned Jan 28 and we began producing energy at 1:30 pm that day.

All the people at Black Platinum were great to work with. Our thanks to John, Toni, Johnny, Joann, Dan and the rest of the crew. This was one of the best and easiest projects I have ever been involved for residential or commercial.

For those who read this far, I can only say from our experience, it would be hard to go wrong using Black Platinum Solar. I would be happy to converse privately with anyone interested in learning more about our project.

Rooftop Solar Solar Panel
We have had our solar for 9yrs, our installation was seamless and follow up service has been appreciated.  I live in Sedona where a summer APS bill can be 200$ or more!!  We are feeding the grid daily and I'm proud to say last July our bill was 16$!    Rooftop solar has been a pleasure to work with!

Mr. Sunshine Solar Solar Panel
This company, actually Mr. Sunshine himself, provided a truthful, clear, and concise explanation of the process and outcome of going solar.  No pressure,  I called back 5 times and did not pull the trigger for over two weeks.  During that time I never got a pressure call back.  The quality information sells the product by its self.

Have worked with these guys to get solar for my home. Very professional and very knowledgeable. They also gave me a lower price than the other company that came and showed me what they had. They gave me a low 2.99 interest rate on my solar. I will recommend them to any and all my friends and family.

Harmon Solar Solar Panel
Yet another desperate company that refuses to respect peoples property and those of us who take the time to post "NO SOLICITATION" & "NO TRESPASSING" signs.   No I did not do business with this company because they they insist on breaking the law tells me enough to stay away from Harmon.  They put a flyer on my  property that is clearly stated both no soliciting and no trespassing.    I am sure they will come back with some lame excuse like "sorry we hired a marketing company" which I don't care.   If that is the fact I don't care because you are responsible for the company you pay to market your advertising and there behavior with your flyers.    Only companies I see do this are nothing but desperate and I wouldn't trust a company like this to watch my grass grow let alone do expensive work like solar installation.

Had a problem with my ceiling fan where the remote and light both stopped working. Changing the bulb didn't fix it, so I needed a reprogramming. These guys came out and fixed it pronto, and at a very fair price. My neighbors also use them and have been happy. A great locally owned business!

Titan Solar Power Solar Panel
Titan Solar has taken advantage of my military veteran, senior father by convincing him he needs solar panels on his home.  His home has not had central heat and air for the past 10 years.  He uses 3 window units in the 3 rooms he "lives" in.  When you walk up to the home you can see 1 of ac units and when you enter you see he is also a hoarder.  His electric bill is set to $85 per month and he usually gets a credit at the end of the year, he does not need panels!  My father's short-term memory is gone and has multiple health issues that I have been working with him on since March 2022.  Titan sold him the panels in January 2022. When I found out about the panels in March 2022 I began reaching out to Titan.  I have sent Titan Solar Power emails requesting a call and for them to remove the panels due to his dementia with no response. I have reached out to the BBB only to get that if he was not diagnosed before he signed the papers they are not at fault.   There is no diagnosis as it is a symptom not a disease.  I have requested all signed documents and have yet get a response. I have a power of attorney to speak on my dad's behalf and he also understands things, but his short term is bad, so it is hard from day to day.  This company should be ashamed on what they have done and now I found out they have a financial statement against his home.  I also found they are charging him $40.99 per month, not sure for what and they won't talk to me.  I have tried to get legal help, but this is not a case that will make an attorney any money and they say it will cost us thousands to fight!  This company is after the next dollar and does not care who they get it from!

Tesla Energy Solar Panel
Where: Home Depot #464 (Tatum and Bell, Phoenix AZ)
When: Saturday, August 30 at 11:15 AM

Headed into the Labor Day weekend in celebrating a newly built pool, I stopped at this Home Depot location to obtain a switch that would complete the install of an air blower for the in-ground hot tub.  Just inside the entrance was a SolarCity kiosk staffed by an older, heavier-set gentleman with glasses that was directly in the path and line-of-sight of where I had to shop for the needed part.

Generally, I can pass by these nuisance promotional kiosks with the investment of a nod and a smile, and they catch the sucker next to me that speaks up or makes eye contact with them - I had intended for this experience to be the same so I could get in, get done, and get out.

Approaching the electrical aisle, the salesperson broadcast a cheerful greeting and jumped right into the, "Have you heard about the benefits of Solar energy and...".  I offered a nod and smile, disregarding his recitation, and kept walking.  Unfortunately I had made eye contact as a courtesy and, in turn, unwittingly set myself up for a continued sales pitch:

"As a homeowner you can save as.."

"No, thank you" - another pleasant nod and smile, now keeping my head down and considering that I should also check for a 2-inch compression fitting while I'm here.

"You're not privileged to be a homeowner - I understand".

I almost stopped; at first I wasn't sure what I had just heard. But I did hear it - I was just profiled by a SolarCity nobody on the basis of not wanting to hear his solar energy spiel on Labor Day weekend.  Although, if I were in my mid-60's hawking exorbitantly-priced crap at a kiosk on a holiday weekend to make ends meet, I'd likely have just as much contempt for anyone that wasn't interested.

My purpose at Home Depot had nothing to do with SolarCity, rather, it was to purchase a product and go about my business.  Had there been any interest in the practicalities of solar energy, I would have sought a recommendation and pursued a vendor for more information.  The concept of vendors at the entrance of Home Depot and their assertive approaches is already annoying (that I can tell, other big-box stores do not engage in the practice), so the unsolicited insult offered as a result of my stop at Home Depot just galvanized my dislike that much more.

And maybe this passive-aggressive practice is generally successful for SolarCity to engage customers further in conversation and piss away their holiday weekend, and I can only assume that Home Depot condones behavior of this nature because they persist in allowing them to place kiosks within their entrances.  Personally, I don't find much charm or appeal in the practice, and it wouldn't surprise me if their snarky reply earns them a punch in the throat by someone having a bad day and just needs to quickly buy a part.

To Home Depot: consider ditching the entrance-based vendors.  The experience is irritating at best, and at worst, would be enough give cause to drive down the blue box store.

To SolarCity: it's now improbable that I would consider your business for my primary residence or any of my rentals. You should probably look to release the person staffing your vendor kiosk on Saturday.
