Best Toilet Repair in Chicago IL

Pat and his helper Kevin arrived on time November 12, 2018. I asked him to check out the sink drain connection and dishwasher drain connection since I had replaced a hose on the dishwasher drain and a P trap on the left side sink. In the process I thought I may have broken the seal on the sink drain and just wanted him to check my work to make sure there were no other leaks. I also asked him to replace a very short hose on the dishwasher drain that I did not replace but was old.
Pat had to replace my sink drain, the P trap with PCV piping and the exit plumbing from the sink. He also replaced the short piece of hose on the dishwasher drain set up with a different configuration. He checked the plumbing for leaks but we did not turn on the dishwasher. His price was $295 for one hour work parts and labor. When I questioned the charge after he left he agreed to a concession on price of $70.
After he left on Monday my wife turned on the dishwasher and when it started to drain a good amount of water immediately started to come out of the small hose connection. Pat returned the following day and worked on it for about 30 minutes and finally gave up and said I needed to replace the drain hose from the dishwasher and that it was missing a metal end piece. He basically just left and said it was an appliance problem. I called an appliance parts supplier and after explaining what Pat indicated the representative said that the dishwasher did not have a metal end piece on my Bosh dishwasher and that I might have a plumber problem.
With that I went to work on fixing the leak using the same configuration used before Pat started work on it and some plumber tape. After some effort I was able to fix the leak and tested it with a full cycle on the dishwasher. The dishwasher drains twice after wash and rinse and there was no water leaking form the hose. Problem solved
So bottom line Pat did not know how to fix the problem which is surprising given how many years he said he has been doing this. What really was unprofessional was leaving me with the problem and saying it was not his fault and call an appliance repair company. This would have been a one star if not for the concession on price. Pat seems to be okay on the simpler plumbing issues but not on problem cases. More interested in getting on to the next job. I think he is a one man operation so finishing quickly is more important than quality of work. I would not recommend them.

It's not easy finding a good plumber but super glad we had a good experience with Scotty. The gentlemen is knowledgeable, inquisitive, listens, and gets to work. He is able to anticipate the problem, explain it directly, and offer suggestions and tips for maintenance.

We were thoroughly satisfied with the service and work completed by Rocket Plumbing.  They came out for a free evaluation and estimate.  Customer service called me back quickly after I made a same-day appointment to let me know that there was a technician down the street and could see me earlier than scheduled.  Anthony quickly evaluated the issue (leaking gas pipes to the water heater) and identified solutions that pricing quickly.  The work was completed quickly, but not hurriedly and Anthony provided an explanation of what he was doing and why he was doing it.  Additionally, Rocket provides a 90-day parts and labor warranty if I have any other issues.  I'll definitely call Rocket in the future if I have plumbing-related issues.

Jose and his guys were so easy to work with. Our main line pipe was broken and causing our kitchen sink to back up.  They were able to find the issue and solve it. They were friendly and professional and their work was very clean. They went above and beyond what was expected. I would definitely recommend J Sewer & Drain for drain cleaning.  They recently cleaned two bathroom sink drains and a washing machine drain for us and did a great job.  They were able to get us scheduled that same week and charged a very reasonable price compared to other quotes.  Jesus showed up right on time, was very efficient, and cleaned up all of the work areas very well.

Very fast response time. They came out and immediately started diagnosing the issues. They told me what was wrong and fixed the problem in a timely fashion. So I've used dozens of services in the city and I have to take the time to recognize Midwest today. They were able to accomplish same day service for a blocked main line. When the first two attempts failed from inside the unit they persisted from a catch basin outside. When that failed, the next option was to have it pumped out and Hydrojetted (much more cost intensive) As I was waiting for availability and a quote on a late Friday afternoon, Danny the tech continued to try to Rod the line and ended up succeeding. After Hours of work he called to tell me that he had accomplished it.
They were also more cost effective than the other three quotes I had gotten before. This is an ethical company which is soo refreshing in the city.

Adam did an excellent job with excellent customer service.  Also the plumbing job was last minute and he had no problem fixing the basement that flooded.

Trust! I think trust is most important in choosing an expert to fix a problem. Of course experience, knowledge, ability and integrity are also needed. But trusting the reviews written by others or trusting the recommendation of a friend is sometimes all we have to go by. I had a clogged drain about 15 feet downstream from my kitchen sink. It was the result of overzealous use of the garbage disposal. I tried snaking the drain myself but the clog was too big (turns out about 2 feet of drain was totally blocked). I did research on several websites looking for a plumber in my area who I could trust to do the work right - at a fair price. I narrowed the list to 4 companies. At 7:15 PM on a weekday I called each of them. I got two answering services that could not answer any of my technical questions, another said they would have someone call me back in a few minutes (never happened) and then there was Dmitry. Dmitry is one of the owners of CJ Plumbing. He answered the phone himself. He was able to discuss my issue intelligently, explain the likely scenarios and give me an estimated price range (min and max) for the job. It was clear from his questions and his input that he understood the problem and knew the likely solutions. As it turns out, he was absolutely correct about the issue and what it would take to fix it. I wanted to consider what he said before making a commitment. He said I could call him back anytime in the next few hours. I called several hours later and again he answered the phone and we scheduled a visit for the following afternoon.

The plumber who showed up (not the person I spoke to) was a delight to work with. He was professional, polite, and patient as he answered my many questions. He tried a few easy options to fix the problem (e.g. using a powered drain snake). When those did not work he said the best option was to cut out the clogged section of drain (which he had located) and replace it with a new section of pipe. The clogged part of the pipe included two 90 degree bends. He removed that section and replaced the sharp bends with pairs of 45 degree bends to allow waste to pass through the more easily. The drain pipe ran along the ceiling of my unfinished basement so there was direct access to the pipe. After replacing the section of pipe he verified that there were no leaks and cleaned up the area of the basement where he worked as well as the area under the kitchen sink. He even cleaned the sink.  

I was VERY pleased with his work and with his personality. The cost of the repair was within the range quoted on the phone (though near the higher end). My trust in CJ Plumbing was rewarded by their performance and their honesty. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to friends and family. I recommend them to YOU.

I just got a condo and bought it knowing the master bath did not have a working toilet, no water in the tank even with the valve turned on. I sent out the general yelp estimate search and Mike gave me a call back right away. I told him the issue and he was able to come out same day. He got my toilet working fast and helped me with my new shower head. The price was great and will definitely be calling him when i need things done in the future.

Now a days, it's VERY difficult to find a plumber that's even interested in doing a small job, let alone for a VERY reasonable price.  Without hesitation, call A & Y Plumbing if that's what you're looking for.  I'm sure they can do the big jobs as well.  I was quoted a very reasonable price and Juan and his team were good on their word.  They were on time, very polite and mannerly, very efficient and did the job just perfectly.  I needed my kitchen faucet tightened, it was very wobbly and also the arm on the faucet was off position.  Now, I see why everyone gives them a 5 Star rating.  I was SO happy with their work and they couldn't be nicer guys!  I highly recommend A & Y Plumbing!

I rarely feel compelled to write a yelp review but this guy deserved my time and more.  I called him in the morning as I happened to have the day off and he came by immediately, assessed our problem, encouraged me to call my husband at work when I was unsure what to do/what decision to make (never pushed me to do the pricier option in terms of repair work), then quoted me, bought parts and fixed my issue in a matter of hours.  He was courteous, aware of snowy boots, etc, and I felt that he was honest and professional and in general, just a good hard working guy.  Much prefer workin with a good 'ol irishman like him to the big box guys anyday.

Fast response time and excellent service in replacing our kitchen garbage disposal within days of receiving the request. Very pleased with the new garbage disposal that was installed. Highly recommend and will be coming back to Vanguard in the future with all our plumbing needs!
