Best Ductless A/C Services in Washington DC
My toilet was not flushing properly, and I needed someone to come as soon as possible to remedy the issues. I used Yelp price estimates to find someone, and I was pleasantly surprised to get a response from Reddick & Sons, who said they could come in a few hours. Shon, my technician, contacted me to give me advance warning of when he was coming, and identified the problem as soon as I explained to him the issue. He was able to repair the problem in 15 minutes or less and I couldn't have been happier with the level of service I received! I will definitely use this company again.

If I can put minus I will put -5 stars. They installed my brand new cooktop inappropriate. After 3 times visitations, they couldn't fix any troubles or find problem. They explained to me that they did all they supposed to do. However actually there are 5 wrong parts have been put. VIA incorporate technician came to fix all of them. After 1 & 1/2 months later my cooktop starts working.

its hard to find the words to express how thankful & grateful i am to have found this company. after literally being traumatized by fh furr & neglected by every other company that has been in our house for the last 25 years, our home has been made right, singlehandedly by oha. they are one of the few businesses left on this planet that choose to stand tall & take pride in their work AND KNOW WHAT THEYRE DOING. THEY ARE EXPERTS. THEY ARE HVAC SCIENTISTS. but they dont gouge or take advantage. their skill level warrants them to charge double but they dont. they demonstrate empathy towards their customers & staff. david & devon came to inspect our newly installed system in our 50 year old home. they discovered the unit was mechanically too big & the ductwork was too small. they thought it through like a puzzle, which it was, but they enjoyed the problem solving with a personal satisfaction. it was actually pretty exciting! if you dont enjoy your livelihood then you cant understand this type of enjoyment. they provided further information through phone & email to be sure we were comfortable in our decisions. next came zach & mr kim to provide the duct rejuvenation. they were here for ten hours!! zach was lead & mr kim was helping, all the while zach explaining the job but never expressed frustration or aggravation of getting through a very long day with someone green but eager to learn. applause all around!! i commented to zach about his patience & he said he knew what it was like trying to learn from someone without it. this is another example of how this company keeps it real. they have universal respect. which also brings me to the ladies of the operation: my initial phone call was received by shelby (so friendly & the best laugh ever) with their location being in fredericksburg i was afraid i was outside of their service area but she said 'tell me what the problem is'. she listened to me ramble & said they had a new location in chantilly & they would call me. moments later rebekah called, listened to me further ramble & then she added brian (sr tech) onto the call. he too listened for quite some time reassuring me they had the right guys for the job. they literally woke me from a nightmare. rebekah had an excessive amount of email exchanges with me answering EVERY question. she never got short & never expressed any frustration when she easily could have. if youve been burned & jerked around, oha will fix you! i am so thankful for the peace of mind they have brought to my family. i wish this company & its employees many successes & all good things. THANK YOU!!!! ps-i just called to confirm shelbys name for this review. joe answered & he was just as fantastic as everyone else!!! in a world gone to pot, these guys bring hope & positivity. dramatic to say, but true!!

Cardinal was the only one willing to come out on a Sunday for my hot water heater. Nick the technician was great. Super personable and professional. He was on time or even early (when early gave me a call to confirm it was ok!). I was scheduled for the next day first thing in the morning. He came prepared for a very challenging install. Prices seem reasonable for the area. Emails with picture of technician and when they were heading out sent out were a nice touch.

Our water heater started leaking on Sunday AM (we knew it would need to be replaced, as it was installed 17 years ago).
Searched on YELP for a plumber, and determined to go with a local-owned company. Liked what I read for Duvall's, and called their number.
I spoke with the agent, told them what we had, and figured out that we could be okay with current unit until Monday, so we didn't have an emergency fee (although they had techs ready to come if we wanted).
Called Monday AM and scheduled appointment for 9:45. They arrived (John, the owner, was the lead tech) with replacement unit on the truck, was quoted a reasonable price, and they got down to it. New water heater was installed by 11:00!
This was one of the best plumbing interactions I have ever had! I will not go anywhere else for any plumbing/heating/AC work in the future!

Pablo was responsive and professional. He serviced my HVAC mini split system (2), one of which had stopped working properly. I found Pablo to be very engaging and answered my questions. He analyzed the problems with my system and corrected them. He charged a fair rate. I will use him again. Excellent value especially in the Takoma Park and Silver Spring area.

When S*** backs up into your basement, you want someone to come out and fix the problem ASAP. Randy Davis was more than responsive in coming out and unclogging my sewer line on a holiday weekend when another company that I had used previously told me I could make an emergency appointment in a few days.
When, less than a week or two later the sewer clogged again, Randy and his crew were out to unblock the line right away. I knew it was time to get the sewer fixed and got an estimate.
The Brian B Quick crew hand dug at least 8 feet deep into my yard to find the problem, replaced the sewer line; while they were down there I asked them to replace my lead service line, which they did, and they noticed that I needed a new trap in front of the area drain by my basement entry door, and they fixed that as well.
I can't say that the bill was cheap, but it does seem that the work was done well. The only downside is that 4 months after the work was done I still have a pile of dirt in my yard that is slowly settling, but I'm not sure this would have been avoidable given what had to be displaced to access the broken pipes.
Would definitely hire this company again.

Have come out twice to fix our boiler when we returned from vacation to a cold house. (Yes, this happened twice in one year). The most recent time, I called at 6:30 PM on a Saturday and was initially told service person would come within an hour. They called back and said he was stuck at another job, but could come around 10 PM. I said I'd look for another company, thanks, but couldn't find anyone else to come out. Called them back and said could he still come? Yes, he came out even though it was almost midnight when he was available, and got the system working again. Would give 5 stars for service, but on the previous repair they did extra work that was supposed to fix the problem, only to have the same problem recur a year later.

Twice yearly service contract is expensive. Both visits the technician stayed for 20 minutes or less with two units. I think he changed the filters and that's it. I've had other companies provide service which lasted about 45 minutes. Makes you wonder.

I discovered a failed and leaking hot water heater over a weekend. Jafar is a true professional and was pleasure to work with from first contact to the completion of the project and beyond.
Despite the urgency of the situation, an unnecessary emergency response (and associated charge) was avoided. The cost of the project, to include parts, labor and disposal, was extremely fair and reasonable.
Crews reported promptly at scheduled times and the project was completed in a timely manner. Otech showed me exactly what was done to remedy the situation and provided helpful hints/education for me to avoid similar problems in the future. Otech has followed up since the completion of the project.
I am extremely satisfied with my experience and will be using Otech for my future plumbing and HVAC needs.

George A. replaced one of our water valves, which had started to leak. Although our issue was not urgent, George arrived the day we called, and arrived within an hour. He was very polite, professional, knowledgeable, and quick to fix the problem. After the new valve was installed, George provided some tips and recommendations, which will help us mitigate potential plumbing related problems in the future. The next time we require plumbing assistance, we will definitely ask for George.

Wow... I could not have chosen a better plumber to solve my problems...I thought my water heater was going to have to be replaced...I had another plumbing service out the week before and was changed $800.00 for thirty minutes of snaking out a drain... didn't fix the problem...J. Hood came out on the recommendation of my neighborhood social media feed...they were prompt and professional...they located the problem in minutes...not my water heater but a line in my AC was the issue...they fixed it, cleaned up the water flooding and guess what, they didn't charge me anything because they said it was just a minor problem and I had already had a bad experience with the other highly advertised plumbing firm...I can't recommend J. Hood Services enough...a bright light of service, professionalism, and integrity!

I can no longer recommend Sila. They were good for a number of years that I used them. However, in the past 2 years the level of service has gone way downhill. They miss appointments and don't call to let me know they can't show up. As of today, for my past 4 scheduled appointments this year, they rescheduled the first 2, didn't show or call for the third, and didn't show or call for the fourth. They then called 3 hours after they were due for the fourth appointment to reschedule. That's 4 days I took off work to be at home for them and 4 days wasted. Never again. I don't know what happened between when I first started using them about 6 or so years ago and today, but a company that repeatedly misses appointments with no notice will not get my business or my recommendation.

This company did wonderful work for us with plumbing repairs and the installation of a new wall mounted combi-boiler. Finally happened across TEC after trying a few other plumbing companies that could not solve our problems. By far the most professional administrative and plumbing staff that I have found. Couldn't recommend their plumbing division more highly!

About two weeks ago we were having low pressure upstairs in all the faucets in our house and couldn't figure out why. We called Jiffy and Pete called us on Saturday and stopped by first thing on Sunday morning. After checking a number of things upstairs and down, he finally determined that the issue was our actual filters on the taps. After removing them and testing everything, he cleaned them and then made a few recommendations. When we sought to pay him, Pete's integrity shown through and said he couldn't accept payment. He said that he and Jiffy guarantee their work and because the filters will inevitably get clogged again, he couldn't guarantee this. We were both surprised and impressed by Pete's forthrightness, integrity, and honesty. Thanks!

At 11pm on a Saturday I returned home to an 80 degree house and my wife saying the AC wasn't working. After spending 30 minutes on my own trying to troubleshoot, as I figured there was no way to get someone out tonight anyway, I called Nugent & Sons and left a message on their emergency line, with the hope they'd call me back on Sunday so I could try to get them out. I didn't have a service contract with them. A few minutes later I received a call and 20 minutes after that Jason from the company was in my attic diagnosing the problem Not long after my AC is up and running again. He was very nice and a credit to the company. 5 stars.

Our toilet got flooded due to the refrigerator. He agreed to fix our bathroom ceiling with paint and living room ceiling for $600 total. Once he started working he started complaining and started saying its too much work i and I am just helping you we paid him $300 to get the supplies. He messed up our walls and said he never said he will be painting the whole ceiling. This guy was trying to find ways to get more money out. He simply refused him and asked him to leave. We were not going to pay more for the job which is still unfinished and very poor job. Now he started to post my pictures my kid's pictures my house pictures on social media and he has started to harass me and my wife. I would not recommend this person at all. If anything happens to me or my family this guy Edward would be responsible

Wake up Sunday morning to have no hot water in the house! I have an electric water heater and I checked the fuse on the main circuit breaker which was fine. Why do these things have to always happen on a weekend? Started calling and reaching out to a few plumbing and heating services, but no luck. Finally called Jimmy Gusky and lo and behold someone actually picked up the phone that wasn't an answering service! I explained my situation and they walked through how to reset the electric heater, which panel to unscrew and what button to push. He explained that 99% that should resolve the issue and if it didn't to call him back and he'd send someone out. I did as told, and sure enough we had hot water again! The reason for the 5 stars is not because they came out and did a good job, but because they are honest enough not to! Could've easily charged me for a service call.

Tuesday I experienced a main drain backup and was informed roots were visible. In the past when I have had root issues at another location in DC, the techs were able to snake and clear the drain, removing just enough roots, to give me time to permanently resolve the issue. But, in this case, by Friday the backup returned. I questioned the size of the snake (auger) that was used, since the current techs did not indicate they pulled out any roots.
I called Spartan and spoke with a floor tech. He informed me that usually after clearing the drain, roots could return in 4-6 months. I told him that's understandable, but it's only been 3 days. He also told me to get a camera down the drain, it would cost 400+ per hour. This is in addition to $979 I was charged Tuesday (also requested the guts in two toilet tanks be replaced). As I was telling him I would need to search around for a better price on the camera, he hung up while I was still speaking to him. This rude behavior was unacceptable. I called back and was transferred to a manager. I told her as a professional who deals with customers daily, I know how a phone call is suppose to end.
I was further insulted when the Field rep called me and shouted at me saying so you want us to just come out and snake your drain for free every time it backs up. As I stated before, I have supported Spartan company for years and never have I asked for a discount for being a consistent returning customer. I informed him, this is where I cut ties with Spartan.
I ended up calling Roto-Rooter. Didn't mention Spartan was there previously, nor anything about a root issue. The tech snaked the main drain, excavated some roots, the line was cleared, and the camera is included in the price. I also used a $75 off coupon.

All three toilets had problems flushing, and one was leaking a little water from the top part to the bottom.
Organizing was fine.... it's a big company. They come out - the guy seems relatively knowledgeable. He was really going on and on about never to use 2 ply toilet paper, which was a little crazy, because I'd assume at least 50% of people use it here with no problem at all.
Says he can do something similar to snaking it, but says we should get all new parts for the one making the noise. He said it might be easier / cheaper just to get a new toilet. Toilets are all 10 years old.
He says it will take 10 minutes to snake each one and cost $295 per toilet. ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! That isn't his fault... but non-nonsensical. A new toilet is $100 and up, and labor a $40 an hour. I would understand if the first hour was $150 and labor was $75 per hour after that.... but this is non-nonsensical garbage.
At $900 for 30 minutes work. The more I think about this, the more I believe they deserve one star. It was a waste of my time and abusive business practices.

Update: Just had the owner Dominic messaging me, who said he would call me. I just spoke with a manager that explained to me that it wasn't him. It was someone in their marketing team clearly misstating who they are. Hey comment to this review... I think you should be who you say you are! The lady also said the technician misstated prices. I asked several times about the price and he said there was no discount for multiple. Companies lie, and this is one.

Further update: 9:05pm on February 28 I received a an email about my upcoming appointment on February 18th. Nice!
