Clover sent 2 technicians to do a service and safety inspection on my HVAC system. I had purchased a condo the day before Clover came out and was praying my HVAC had some life left in it.
The techs were on time, friendly, and transparent. As a new homeowner, I appreciated their willingness to walk me through my system so that I had a general understanding of what they were looking at and how they determined when the system may need to be replaced.
No high-pressure sales. Fair and transparent pricing.
I will definitely be using Clover again.
Technician Mason Craig is very knowledgeable and he patently explained things which were needed for HVAC clean up. Also, prices of Clover Services are much reasonable than other few companies I checked. I recommend this company for the HVAC needs.

My heating system went down during the coldest week of the year. I found them listed on Yelp. I called them and spoke with Wendy, the service representative and she scheduled an appointment for me immediately. The service was great. Within an hour the technician had tested the system and found the problem. A part was needed so he got on the phone and called numerous suppliers to locate the part and then drove to pick it up and came back and installed it.
Everyone I spoke to at Clover was kind and helpful understanding the need to get my heat back on. I will be using them again to service the system.

I am giving 5 start only for my experience of the customer service, response time, and professionalism of the company employees. I didn't get any services before or after writing this review.
The technician Mr. Dailey is a gentleman and very knowledgeable about his work. He called me 30 mins before as owner advice me that he will, then I received an automated message from the owner about his profile and picture. Which is greatly appreciated for security reasons and excellent customer assistance. Mr. Dailey looked at the issue and provided me a quote within minutes. The price was higher than I expected and thus I politely declined the services. The owner and Mr. Dailey was very polite even after I decided to not use their service at the moment. Although, the customer service experience with them was so great that I will again reach out for any future services.

Clover Services was one of very few responses I received (and were extremely quick) to respond to my request for an estimate to repair or most likely replace my elderly father's old boiler system from the 1970's. They arranged for one of their best technicians to evaluate the system as soon as possible and he spent a lot of time analyzing how best to replace and dispose of the the old system. Their prices were competitive and the total amount was exactly what we expected it would cost to replace. The company went above and beyond to get the equipment ordered and installed as quickly as possible so my father would have heat in time for the cold weather. This was not an easy job and one that not many companies wanted to attempt - but Clover Services, Ryan and all of their technicians took this job without hesitation and worked hard for two days to get it done. Ryan was extremely professional, communicative and friendly (as was Wendy in the office) and they made sure I understood the estimate, the timeline and all that the job entailed. They also treated my father and his home with dignity and respect. They did a fantastic job and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again!
When the technician showed up to give me a quote to fix a leaky pipe, he was quite thorough and took his time assessing the other pipes in the basement. However, his quotes were over 3x what the second most expensive company quoted me on the same jobs. I was almost insulted by the prices. I can't rate on the quality of work, but the prices were too much for a simple homeowner.

My experiences with Clover have been great. They have a very responsive customer service team and great HVAC and plumbing techs. They really do care about the customer experience!
The technician came in as scheduled. He looked at the issues and mentioned that the part needs to be replaced and said he will check whether he got them in stock. After this he never responded.
Really I don't see any value in the service.

On Jan 16th I called CLOVER HVAC service because my HVAC was shutting down and home wasn't heating. They sent two technicians to home in short time. They observed the code 31 or 13 flashing on the carrier HVAC and told me it's the pressure switch that is faulty. Since they claimed they were licensed and experienced technician I trusted them and paid $478 in total ( $99 for the visit + $379 advance payment o replace the pressure switch for next visit ). After they left, the HVAC system was working, blowing hot air but doesn't take break when indoor temperature reaches thermostat set temperature. (This is quite dangerous for multitude of reasons). It was like furnace inside the home. I called them to visit home and check. They suggested, I should attempt to fix while they instruct me how to do it on phone. WHAT A WORST IDEA. JUST to keep my property safe I attempted it with lot of hesitation and fear of the furnace. Then I see the furnace started accumulating water quite close to the electric/mother circuit board. I was scared because its basic electrical 101, water with active current is a worst scene. They came back on the same evening and fixed it. I was really unsatisfied & frustrated and called their office and ASKED THEM PLEASE CANCEL MY NEXT SERVICE OF REPLACING THE PRESSURE SWITCH because of their inexperience and the mess. They told me that they will refund that day visit cost $99 and will send a senior technician to do FULL SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC CHECK AND IF AT ALL NECESSARY, THEY WILL REPLACE THE SWITCH. I didn't like the idea but I finally agreed after they repeatedly declining to cancel the next appointment with them. Then the senior tech came and couldn't really pinned down the issue and replaces the pressure switch without concrete evidence. The HVAC ran fine for 4 days and on fifth day it started flashing the same error code 31 or 13 . I called them and they sent same senior tech again as soon as they could. At this visit he claimed he did what he should have done in his earlier visits . i.e HVAC 101. ANY LICENSING SCHOOL WOULD TEACH THIS, WHENEVER HVAC FLASHING PRESSURE SWITCH CODE YOU SHOULD
1) OPEN THE BLOWER FAN, CHECK FOR ANY CLOGS, DEBRIS AND CONDENSATE LIQUID? THEY DIDNT DO THIS. NOT EVEN TOUCHED IT.
2) CHECK EXHAUST, INTAKE AND DRAIN PIPES TO CHECK FOR ANY CLOGS. THEY DID EXAMINE THIS.
3) CHECK THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS FOR ANY ISSUE. THEY TESTED THIS.
WHY DIDN'T YOU CHECK THE BLOWER FAN?? WAS IT TOO SIMPLE AND DOESN'T COST MUCH TO CUSTOMER? I am saying they didn't do FIRST POINT (1) because HVAC stopped again, flashing the same code after replacing the low-pressure switch and also the senior tech told me I should have cleaned the fan for debris and water at the first place.
The HVAC stopped working again and this time knew I will be a complete fool if I call them because $379 + three CLOVER technicians + four visits couldn't fix it . Either they knew what was the problem and they choose not to operate and scam me by replacing a well-functioning part or they don't know above point (1). By looking at the below attached pictures and not doing HVAC 101 point (1), you might be convinced the first case is likely true. i.e they wanted to do something which would bring more money and not doing simple cleaning which could have done during their first visit for just $99.
I sent my wife and kid to my sister's place for two days & nights and I suffered two horrible cold nights (I had space heater, but you know) waiting for genuine HVAC licensed guy. The genuine technician came and said there is nothing wrong with old pressure switch (he tested it by replacing it) or another component. AND just the ducts and pipes needed further cleaning. IT has been a couple days it's working.
I called them for a refund since they claim MONEY BACK GUARANTEE if their service was unsatisfactory. SINCE YOU COULD FIX THE PROBLEM AND DIDN'T DO THE BASIC CHECK IN YOUR FIRST VISIT YOU SHULD REFUND. They tell me, they already gave $99 discount and cannot offer any further discount. I WANT TO REMIND; YOU GAVE ME $99 BECAUSE YOU PUT MY WHOLE HVAC AT RISK BECAUSE OF THE WATER LEAKING FROM THE EXHAUST PIEPE. IT WAS YOUR FAULT. YOU DIDN'T DO A FAVOUR TO ME. Now I am asking for refund because even after four visits and charging me $379 you couldn't fix the issue AND REPLACED A WELL FUNCTIONING PART WHICH WAS TOTAL UNNECESSARY.
You break my confidence and trust.
They did a great job getting a new AC unit in a very tight space for a property that has a narrow alley and fire escape to navigate around. We found that they had competitive pricing. We have used them with good results for plumbing issues too. We have been happy with them for decades.
Amazing response time and amazing customer service. Have used them several times. Professional service, know what they are doing, and great value for money! Even on after-hour evening service.
I would give ZERO stars if possible. This company charges outrageous prices for the simplest of jobs and lie about the amount of time spent on the job to increase the charges! You will be better off going to any other company and pay less for sure. This company should not even be allowed to have a license to do business. Will be filing a complaint with the BBB.

I needed some work done in my home before moving in, and gave Clover a list of plumbing repairs from my home inspection report. Most were very minor repairs, except for installing valves for the exterior hose bibs. As soon as Scotty came out to give me an estimate, he did a full plumbing home inspection to point out other areas that I should pay attention to.
Scotty and the office staff were professional and prompt. There were a few scheduling issues in the beginning, but everything worked out fine in the end. Scotty is extremely experienced in all sorts of plumbing issues, and was very transparent in everything. He even went above and beyond by doing things to improve my home outside the list of repairs (ex: draining the water heater). He was also very responsive the whole time, giving me updates and sharing photos. I thought the pricing was fair for the materials and labor, and I am very pleased I went with Clover for my plumbing work. I will most likely use them again in the future!
Our HVAC system was leaking. Clover sent someone to check out the situation quickly and the technician recommended a whole system replacement. I felt like he was making the recommendation genuinely, and he explained his reasoning. I asked for a quote for a new system and mentioned I wanted a baseline model. I received a quote later that evening, and it seemed fair for what I was getting.
They came a few days later and replaced the system in one day. They were accommodating of my schedule. Our technician was Ronan, and he was fantastic. He really made sure everything was right throughout the process. He had great attention to detail and was considerate. He even thought to ask me about whether I had extra wall paint since the new thermostat was smaller than the old one and showed the old paint. While we did have some paint, we also have a newborn and I knew I wouldn't get around to painting around the new thermostat. Ronan asked if I wanted a wider thermostat base instead. He installed the wider thermostat base for us so the old paint was covered. This is just one example of the thought and consideration he put into his work and customer service.
I would use them again for sure. My only complaint would be that I wish the install could have been scheduled sooner, but they were already booked up.

The thermostat went out and Clover was very responsive. They came out promptly however they have flat fees. Dispatch fee is $109 which is standard. However,when the tech came out he only had two of the most expensive thermostats. The price was $400 or $700 , no other option or pay the $109 and still pay another specialist for service. Then finding out that the cost of a Honeywell or comparable thermostat is $50. You pay price for service but next time I'm going to YouTube it .

The office employees are not familiar with HVAC terms so they assure me they were familiar with ERVs and works on them all the time...when the tech came out he told me he never worked on one but he assured me they'd fix it...
After 2 days I called again to get the estimate and I was told that they were working on it...
After 4 days I called again and they told me they were working on it...
After a week I called and I was told the tech was in vacation so I had to wait... WAIT WHAT?!?
I was waiting and waiting and then after 2 weeks I was told they were not interested in the job...
Another HVAC company that prefers changing filters/belts and doesn't know how to actually fix problems.
UPDATE: Patricia from Clover replied to my review stating that I may be confusing them with another company. The technician I dealt with was Joshua Pickett. By blaming the customer you're just going to make it worse.
I am sorry that I just learned Clover does plumbing! We have used them for HVAC for years and just encountered a plumbing issue. The technician they sent was AWESOME. He listened and diagnosed the problem quickly and he fixed it. We are so happy and relieved! Thank you so much Clover!!!!
I initially had Clover come out to do a service check on our Heating / AC unit. The tech was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Instead of giving me a report at the end of his assessment, he invited me to stay and watch as he went through the different checks. He pointed out issues as he worked and took down notes.
Actually seeing the nastiness that was the inner workings of my system it was easy to make the decision to replace the system. 3 business days later, Clover came back and did a complete replacement. The new unit is Lennox System and it's...amazing. Even in 100+ degree weather I can make my house a virtual icebox.
I was particularly impressed by the extra thick laminated price sheet that was presented to me when selecting a system. It gave me confidence that the company wasn't giving me a price based on the fact that I live in x neighborhood. The price is the price.
We have had no issues thus far and the install was very tidy. I plan to use Clover in the future for all service checkups and maintenance.

I think most of us have up and down relationships with heat/plumbing/aircon folks... Mine is like that, probably like most of us due mostly to my unfamiliarity with the products and terminology of the industry.
Clover has been punctual when I've called, and reliable with both the equipment they supply AND the service they provide. If issues arise they are diligent about getting it straightened out, & will make accommodations to keep the customer happy. Communicative, responsive, & knowledgeable.

During a really bad winter, a pipe cracked and started leaking water. The pipe was in a ceiling bulkhead in the basement. When the plumber (not Clover) opened the bulkhead to fix the leak, he discovered the pipe was inside an air duct. As he wasn't versed in air duct removal, he recommended that we reschedule the repair and bring on an HVAC expert to assist in the repair process.
Fearful of the possibility of a botched repair operation where the plumber and the HVAC guy point fingers at each other, I decided to look for a repair company that had both plumbing and HVAC expertise. That way, there would only be one company responsible for the repair. This search led me to Clover Services.
A plumber and HVAC guy from Clover Services examined the problem and wrote up a reasonably priced estimate. They then came out a second time to fix the problem.
The repair was more involved than originally estimated. I can't remember all the particulars, but IIRC there was a gas pipe that obstructing the path to the cracked water pipe. They were there far longer than anticipated, but never charged me more than the estimate. They were always friendly and unstressed despite the difficult repair job. Haven't had a problem with that pipe ever since.

I called Clover a second time for a plumbing repair when the pipes would shake every time I used the kitchen sink faucet. Turned it was a very minor problem. The thingamagic part (sorry for the overuse of technical parlance) that switched the water stream from the sink faucet to the sink hose was not fully screwed in, leading it to continually switch from faucet to hose and back. The Clover plumber had it diagnosed and fixed in less than two minutes with little charge.
This was a great experience! They found the problem with my furnace and found a great price and perfect model to replace it. Kind and very professional.

We had them come over to fix two leaks under the kitchen sink. The plumber was on time and pretty quick with the repairs, too. We'll use them again.
I've used Clover twice in relation to keeping my Rinnai tankless water heater running--once to repair and once to service. I found them to be thorough, detailed, and upfront about cost. I'd highly recommend them.

I needed a very old garbage disposal replaced in a condo I just bought. Clover came very quickly to replace it and discussed the price options with me. For example they gave me the option of buying the new disposal myself and having them install it or letting me buy a cheaper brand for them to install.
The whole thing took about as long as they said it would and I had called around to compare prices. They were in the ballpark of everyone else. Plus, I got a Yelp deal!
The Clover HVAC guys are competent and punctual.

I tried Clover based on Yelp reviews but found them to be average. They installed a humidifier and that was OK but when I went back for a new Air Conditioner unit, they fumbled the ball. So much depends on the technician with these local home repair outfits, so my case may not be normal, but the technician made a big deal of laying new copper pipe (unnecessary actually) and promised an upscale a/c unit within three days for under 5K. Naturally, the proposal was for a midlevel a/c and more that 5K and when I inquired I went into a holding pattern resulting in over a week without a/c during peak a/c weather. I finally had to go to another contractor who did the job within three days and provided a better a/c at a lower cost.
Then Clover had the nerve to bill me for the proposal unlike many firms that provide one for free.
I cannot say I would go out of my way to recommend them.
We ended up having our other system which was older go out on us and we had them install a whole new system which we have been extremely happy with. They continue to please and have now had them come out for spring and winter services, Ryan one of their techs does a masterful job in everything he does and my wife refuses to let anyone else touch our systems but him. Thank you again!
I was away on business when the A.C. went out. My wife has asthma and I needed the A.C. repaired right the first time and quickly. Clover, who installed my system, was able to get a tech out and fix the issue in less than 24 hours. Santos was able to diagnose and fix the issue for us and I appreciated his focus on customer satisfaction. Thanks!

Mike from Clover was great! A separate contractor was pulling my refrigerator out and broke my waterline. That contractor called Clover to fix the problem. Clover's office staff was accommodating to my time frame (when was best to take off of work) when scheduling the appointment. I asked them to have the plumber call 30 minutes prior to arrival and they did. They were also there at the beginning of the two hour window they originally promised, which was great so I could get on with my day. They quickly explained the problem to me and explained what they were going to do. After finishing the work, they showed me what they had done and replaced my fridge (thankfully- that thing is too bulky for me to move by myself). They were in and out in less than an hour. Along the way, they were incredibly friendly and courteous. While I didn't pay for the services (the contractor who broke the line did), I will definitely be giving them a call for future plumbing needs and asking for Mike!

I used Clover for a few simple issues. I called them they came within the hour which was exceptional, the previous plumber did not show up at all.
The customer service were very good, however they over charge. What I thought was a big problem, ie my garbage disposal not working was just a matter of having it reset, this took no more than 3 min, I was charged $103, for using the plunger on the second sink to get it clear, a 15 second job, I am not exaggerating, I was charged $54, he was going to charge me another $103 but was nice. My lack of knowledge led me to be overcharged.
So how this company works is that they charge you a 89 service charge, and waive the service charge if you go ahead with the service. I purchased a Yelp coupon for the $89 service charge. So this would mean that if I went ahead with the service they would take 89 dollars off, however, when I explained it to the plumber who came, he had no idea what I was talking about. And kept saying that he was not charging me 89 dollars since I went ahead with the service.
I called the company, they say the will send me a check for the amount I paid for the yelp coupon.
I am giving 3 stars as the service is expensive and they should know what coupons they have out there.
Update, on Aug 7, 2012, called, saying I did not receive my check, that they said sent on July 27th. They said they recalled the conversation and would have to see what they would do. I said that we had already discussed this and come to a resolution and now we need to discuss it again? They said they would send out the check and I should receive it by Aug 13, 2012. I will update.
I've used Clover four times now, for my house and for my mother's house. I have been very happy with every aspect. They can usually come within a day or two, they show up when they say they will be there and they do good work. The guys have always been polite and knowledgeable and also patient with all of my questions as an aspiring DIY plumber. For jobs I can't do myself I will always use Clover.
If I can put minus I will put -5 stars. They installed my brand new cooktop inappropriate. After 3 times visitations, they couldn't fix any troubles or find problem. They explained to me that they did all they supposed to do. However actually there are 5 wrong parts have been put. VIA incorporate technician came to fix all of them. After 1 & 1/2 months later my cooktop starts working.
We used Clover Services for the first time today. Unfortunately, our kitchen sink had a back up and our disposal was not draining. I contacted Clover yesterday and they had someone at our house first thing this morning.
Tom was professional and fixed the problem in a timely manner. He quoted me a price, snaked the drain and replaced some of the piping under the sink. All is well in the kitchen again and the sink is working perfectly.
We would not hesitate to use Clover Services again in the future.
I have used Clover for a few years and I highly recommend them. They have great customer service and they are very responsive and polite. Just as important, they know what they are doing and they help you understand the problem and the best remedy. They don't try and sell you a mess of junk you don't need.

We paid for a plumbing estimate two weeks ago and have still not received any estimate even though we have made several calls to the plumbing representative, one call to the main office, and sent several emails. The plumbing representative sent us an email saying we would receive estimate the next morning, which has yet to arrive.
Very Professional Installers and Great Price. I highly recommend them and will use them again in the near future.
I recently purchased my first house, and since then have dealt with SO MANY CONTRACTORS (tree guys, electrician, floor guys, handymen, etc etc etc). I carefully researched and got recommendations for each of them. Clover was my absolute favorite of the bunch. Absolutely everyone I dealt with was friendly and responsive and helpful. They came on time, I learned a bunch, and my system works much better now. Thanks!!!
I called Clover quick as my stellar countertop folks ripped out my disposer and faucet leaving me high and dry. Clover responded quickly, honored my yelp coupons, and sent Tom H., the miracle worker to save the day. Would highly recommend and will use them again.

Clover came out quickly and offered the best pricing to look at an issue we had with our heating system during the coldest months this winter. The first time they came out, they identified one issue, but it didn't help. I called them and they came back out right away and did a deeper assessment. This time, they found the real issue and resolved it right away. I wasn't charged for the second service visit, just the parts and labor to fix the issue. The technician was very pleasant and genuinely wanted to help us. He felt bad that he missed the issue the first time around. I would recommend you use. Plus they had an online coupon that I used for the initial diagnostic.
